getting some responses on my post about kristen and her parents conversation, specifically the "isn't it kinda funny that helio chose you and you were the one to bring the daytime back" and I think it's really interesting how different people responded to it like. maybe it's because I live in the southern united states but. there is a lot of religion, specifically christianity, as that is the obvious analogue to the helioic faith, that is downright evil, I agree. and obviously the prevalence of it is harmful to a lot a lot a lot of people, just as it's harmful to kristen in fiction.

but you have to understand that the individual people are deluded, they genuinely believe what they're doing is right. it's really easy to be like "ugh they sicken me it makes me so mad" in a theoretical sense but. do you have drive through workers wishing you a blessed day. do you have people see your kt tape and offer to pray for your pain to go away. like. idk I just think we have to have a little bit of compassion and understanding for people that are so entrenched in their faith that they do truly believe from the bottom of their heart that what they're preaching is true. especially in a world where divine magic is real!! kristen TALKED to helio. she makes literal miracles happen on the daily. so faith in that world is gonna be heightened to a crazy degree.

obviously I condemn their human-supremacy and their cult practices etc etc etc but in that little moment I felt for the applebees. it didn't make me mad or disgusted or annoyed. it made me sad. because they saw their daughter perform a miracle of the sun and it meant nothing to her. that "that doesn't feel special at all to you?" wasn't from a place of arrogance. they weren't lauding it over kristen. they were pleading. begging her to see it from their eyes: she is the chosen one. she is a prophet of helio and has been doubting and they want what's best for her. she's their savior. she brought the sun back from the endless night. that doesn't feel special at all to you?

Wanted to draw something spooky for the season and since I've still got MightyMac on the brain, they were the unfortunate victim. x"D Nothing too over-the-top, of course, but it's fun to get a little more spooky every now and then >:3 Separation is 100% one of their greatest fears, not bc they neccessarily enjoy being stuck together forever but because they don't know what would happen. And not knowing is always scarier, isn't it? I’m watching it for the first time (well, technically I watched S2 & S3 before, but remember nothing about it really). Just got the whole series on DVD last year.

Only on S2 right now, but am already obsessed with Harm x Mac (both individually & as a ship)!

Plus, a couple of other people (@starrybouquet & harmandmac) are in the dumpster fire with me.

If you’re looking for fanfic, almost everything predates AO3. There’s some great stuff on ff.net, especially if you go back deep to when the show was still airing. Most things were actually hosted on personal sites (unfortunately), but I’ve used the Wayback Machine to find some again - my favorite author can be found at https://web.archive.org/web/20060821225606/http://aerogirl.dhs.org:80/ and there are some links off her page that also might work with the Wayback archive.

Yeah. Which is why I said "no direct suicide, but being reckless in fights and throwing himself thoughtlessly in danger, and just not dodging or not doing moves that he knew would put him in an advantage" Cause if wukong died, macaque would not kill himself. But I think he would concuously or unconsciously seek death. Thus the jumping into things recklessly and not dodging and not doing strategic moves. And with wukong alive, a gravely wounded macaque would fight like hell and probably be alright. But with wukong dead, he would just welcome death. Whether he would acknowledge what he's doing is one thing, but wukong would not let it slide at all either way

i think it'd be very remiss of me not to mention per aspera ad inferi (aka: uni ghouls) skdjfnsldf for those of you that mightn't know, it's a human au, following aeon's journey through going to university for the first time, it's very self indulgent and it's proven very fun to write so far :3

for horny ghouls with sex toys, it's however fair and pure !! it's dew's first experience with sex toys and rain makes sure to give him a proper hand with them :)

speaking of first fics... just wanna bewitch you (all night) was my most popular fic on ao3 until recently, and it's the first fic i ever published for the ghost fandom !! i don't necessarily think it's my best work, but i like it and a lot of other people do as well apparently :0

last but not least, i don't know if it's my favourite favourite, but i am very proud of cold love. hot blood (dead dove, cw graphic self harm) and i'm proud that i reuploaded it after i first deleted it over a year ago :0
