Finally transferred my Benson and Randy playlists to Spotify and cleaned them up for public viewing on YouTube Music lol. I will probably add more songs to these in the future but for now each playlist has 40 songs. Each one is almost the exact same across both platforms except for Benson's playlist which has one song on YTM that's not on Spotify and vice versa. They sort of vary between songs that remind me of them, songs I think they'd like, and/or songs that feel like it's from their point of view, etc.

#Randy's playlist is definitely softer. I think he'd have a soft spot for singer-songwriter stuff while also liking various rock genres #Benson's is rougher—of course—a mix of metal/rock genres with a sprinkling of screamo/emo here and there #almost every metal/hardcore guy I've known also has a not-so-secret selection of emo/screamo/etc albums they like lol #I mean there's overlap so it makes sense #the passenger 2023 #the passenger #benson the passenger #randy bradley

it can't get away with anything anymore. quiet permanent murder? pretty much everyone has an online identity. bribery? tracked on 7 different websites from the moment the transaction goes through. strangling one of its employees to death because they dared to talk back about its horrible anti-labor business practices? it immediately gets clipped and reposted and it has to spend the next 2 weeks trying to undo its cancellation on twitter.

also its friends. it misses having those. not that it was ever exactly good at having them... but it misses them all the same.

#I spent Saturday at an antifa counter demo in Glasgow #and I have a lot of thoughts about the people who turned up for the ‘pro uk’ protest #there were a lot more of them than I would have liked #and I think it was badly organised by them - with bette organisation I’d think they could easily double their turnout #and that is highly worrying #but what was really apparent to me was the mix of hardcore fascists and what I think of as your staunch Scottish racists #the latter are folk radicalised by their environment who channel their anger into hatred at people more oppressed than them #and in the uk generally a big part of that is to do with housing #one of the things I am v interested in but can’t get to the bottom of is the difference in far right views in the uk v bits of Europe #I’m not interested in generational politics generally #but in the uk younger people tend to be more left wing as a group #in a lot of Europe younger people have been really driving far right growth #and I’m curious as to just why that is
