Happy Tech Tuesday, my little possums!
I colored in our boys from last week! Lord, this was fun to do…I almost feel like Tech is a Rorschach, he comes out the way we interpret him to be. Reminder that none of these dudes are canon Tech. They are from the universes of (left to right) @techs-stitches , myself, @wrenkenstein and @moosethren .
Need the fic that this is from? Second chapter dropped yesterday, here it is.
Also….I made the mistake of letting Doug see this picture. He roasted me hard. Let me know if I should put up his comments.

Prompt : The Mean Girls of Wayne Enterprises
Hear me out…. Mean Girls but make it DCxDP.
The public personas that the bats present, modeled after “Brucie” Wayne are the perfect templates for Mean Girls shenanigans.
Imagine : Our favourite ghost boy has decided to venture out into the world after making sure that Amity would be safe and secure (perks of being the recently crowned King). Danny knows he’d never pass the physical tests to be an astronaut but that doesn’t mean he can’t at least achieve part of his space dream. He’d done his research, very thoroughly at that, and overall it was Wayne Enterprises that came out on top. Their aerospace department was miles ahead of the competition - presumably something to do with Bruce Wayne literally being the one funding the Justice League (and if rumour is to be believed, the OG sugar daddy for a certain Bat).
Disregarding Danny’s personal feelings about the JL, the chance to create technology that will be used in SPACE, for space exploration and understanding was too good to pass up.
Just the thought alone filled him with a sense of contentment. Thankyou space obsession.
Which is what had lead to the current situation - an internship at Wayne Enterprises itself. How he landed it, he has no clue - sure, he’s got some smarts (much more than he’ll give himself credit for) but his grades had suffered from his years of literally saving the city (and by extension, the world). Perhaps it was fate? Or more likely, a meddling time god…
Danny wasn’t complaining though.
Only three hours in to the position and he was barely containing his excitement - literally, the fulfillment of his secondary obsession, regardless of how second hand it might be, created such a buzz in his core. He was having to consciously stop his more ghostly attributes from shining through - not even metaphorically shining, damn you LED freckles (yes we’re using the concept of Danny’s ghost from reflecting his love of space - constellation freckles and all)
Now though, he had been released to break in the cafeteria. There was a panicked moment of ‘oh shit, where do I sit?’ But thankfully, his (half) life was saved by one of his new coworkers calling him over with a friendly wave.
“Hey, Daniel, right?”
“I go by Danny but yeah, thanks for the save there” a awkward laugh at his own words, “didn’t expect it to feel like high school all over again”
There’s polite laughter amongst the table and the conversation flows over to casual small talk. At least, it does until out of nowhere, all eyes jump to the doors.
Enter : The Plastics.
Richard Grayson - the dumbest guy you’ll ever meet.
“Once, he asked me why aster isn’t the opposite of disaster”
Timothy Drake - knows everything about everyone.
“That’s why his eyebags are so big - they’re full of secrets”
And the queen bee, Damian Wayne.
“Once he called me an uncultured swine… it was awesome”
(I don’t know what’s better - Damian aged up to match Danny or tiny Damian being Regina)
What follows is a comedic story: Danny meeting the three, them assuming he’s going to be out of touch being from the Midwest (he is but only in the sense that his version of normal is Fenton dumbfuckery) , him eventually getting past their public personas by just not giving a shit for their drama - he grew up with the QUEEN of mean girls, the Wayne boys have nothing on Paulina Sanchez.
Just, Mean girls Waynes… that’s it - that’s the post.

Summary: Crosshair blinked, the situation finally clicking in his mind. "You're telling me that while I was being tortured, the two most awkward members of our squad got themselves girls?"
Bewildered, flabbergasted, and bamboozled didn't even begin to cover his thoughts on this. Well then... now he's got to test and see if these women are truly deserving of his brothers' affections.

happy life day. welcome to my brain vomit.
aight. birb wing au, what're y'alls species/general headcanons for the batch.
personally as species go:
Hunter - Kiwi. Small, brown, fuzzy, can track things (fruit) really well. Also can't fly so it gives Wrecker a reason to toss him around. (Bonus points for being from NZ)
Wrecker - Harpy eagle or cassowary. Harpy eagles are the strongest bird of prey, they can carry off sloths. Maybe even a toddler. Cassowaries are big, scary, and flightless, which accounts for the fear of heights.
Tech - One of those iridescent magpies. Super smart and likes to collect random junk. Will do completely random stuff. Very neurospicy coded. Tech definitely collects shiny objects and will probably eat random stuff he finds on the ground.
Crosshair - Peregrine falcon or something. They're cool. Why didn't I go with a vulture? CAUSE I DON'T WANNA DRAW ALL BLACK WINGS. Super speedy AND has the fastest vision in the animal kingdom at 130 frames per second. For reference, a normal human is 50-60 fps.
Echo - sorry echo stans, I got no clue what he is
Omega - for some reason I see her as a pidgeon/dove. Small, innocent, just a lil birbo. Can be a nuisance if they don't like you, perhaps even deadly.
My only real idea is CROSSHAIR WITH CLIPPED/PINIONED WINGS. LIKE HEMLOCK DID THAT TO HIM. It's pretty low effort, will be really traumatizing, and makes escape attempts easier to catch.
Anyhoo. *makes grabby hands* Give me your headcanons.

let’s be real here …..the reason so many people irrationally dislike phee and tech is because of internalized racism or just like …plain old loud and proud racism.
if you’re that unable to accept a romance with your fave character because the character doesn’t look anything like you, you have a serious lack of empathy and need to take a hard look in a mirror.
also like lol welcome to the experience of every non-white person who has ever lived. they’ve had to identify with characters who don’t look anything like them for centuries.
God forbid non-white fans have ONE (1) character in this universe who somewhat reflects an experience they know.
My god some of you can really be insufferable. Just say you’re mad he had/has? a love interest that isn’t the one you’ve concocted in your head and go.

Bad Batch Headcanons — Moving Omega into her college dorm room
Because it’s that time of year again in the US, so why not.
Hunter
Look, this man got hit with the Dad genes hard when Omega came into his life. If you think he isn’t going to be the most emotional parent moving their kid into college, you’d be wrong. He hates that Omega is leaving home, but he’s also so excited about seeing her take her first steps into her adult life. Guess who is going to be taking the most pictures of Omega in her new dorm room and with her new roommates and floor mates?
He will be the first “parent” to make friends with the RA. He didn’t plan on it. It just sort of happened. Hunter became the RA’s go-to counselor whenever the dorm gets chaotic and they need advice.
Hunter is also the one most likely to teach a few self-defense classes for everyone on Omega’s floor. Safety is a big must for him. His overprotective instincts extend beyond Omega very quickly.
He’s also becomes friends with all of Omega’s floormates’ parents. They have an ongoing text message thread. (Their kids don’t know that fact. Neither do the rest of the Batch.)
Hunter will also be the one who sends the best care packages. (The entire Batch help, of course, but Hunter takes point on making sure that Omega gets care package from her brothers.)
Crosshair
He is a man of few words, but he is the first person to clock every annoying punk kid who might give Omega a hard time. Crosshair is the one who nips that in the bud before it becomes a problem. He might not be the obviously overprotective big brother, but he is still protective.
Crosshair parks it in the common room if anyone needs him. Just poke him if you need help moving stuff. (He’s probably taking a nap, so be careful.)
He’s also the one who just so happens to leave alcohol under Omega’s bed. Don’t worry. Crosshair trusts her to be relatively responsible, but he also knows what’s up in college. Just don’t tell Hunter about that.
Weirdly, he gets along with all the younger siblings who got dragged in to help their older siblings move into college. Crosshair won’t entertain them, but he’ll be the adult in the common room when they need a break. Kids love that he’s a little shit.
He won’t admit that he’ll miss Omega now that she’s in college and out of the house, but he does.
Tech
He figured out how bad the firewalls at Omega’s college were before she moved in. He found them to be laughable. He also built her a laptop with ridiculously good protection and storage space. Tech is not going to let his little sister have a computer that would be open to any number of virus due to bad college firewalls.
Tech won’t admit to hacking into the registrar’s office to make sure that Omega gets her preferred classes (and the ideal class schedule). No one can prove that he didn’t though.
He’s also made sure she’s got a perfectly serviceable college-appropriate car. The amount of safety features are clearly post-market though. Tech won’t sacrifice Omega’s safety for anything. (He also included a few fun upgrades that he definitely didn’t tell Hunter about.)
Tech established a secure chat room and Discord channel for Omega and her friends. He sometimes pops in to offer computer support.
Omega gets a customized gaming set-up courtesy of Tech. He schedules hang-out time around her schedule where they game together.
Wrecker
Wrecker basically moves everyone into Omega’s dorm. Once he gets going, there’s no stopping him. Every single dad appreciates that he’s there to do the heavy lifting.
After Hunter, he’s the second most emotional person about moving Omega into her college dorm. Wrecker can’t believe how big she’s gotten.
He leaves Lula on her bed when the Batch finally leaves campus. Omega is going to need that familiar comfort when she’s finally alone. He feels better about leaving her there with the knowledge that she has Lula with her.
Wrecker is responsible for Omega’s dorm room decor. He makes her room feel like home, complete with twinkle lights and calming colors.
He’s absolutely the one rocking all of the college swag. Wrecker raided the college store and made sure the entire Batch is geared up appropriately. (His brothers appreciate him doing that. It’s debatable if Omega does as well.)
Echo
Guess who is Mr. Snack and Supply King? Yeah, this guy. He’s the one to make sure that Omega is stocked up on everything she needs to get started at college. Hunter may be the care package dad, but Echo will always do the grocery store run.
He is also the one who finds the best deals on all her books. (Echo and Tech collaborate on that front.) Word quietly goes around the floor that Echo knows things, so he gets hit up by cash-strapped students. (He always does what he can to help.)
Wrecker stuck a college-branded baseball cap on his head shortly after they arrived to move Omega into her dorm room. Echo didn’t take it off. He’s so proud of Omega.
He also makes friends with Omega’s RA. Echo is the one who can help with dealing with stupid shenanigans that college kids get up to when left unsupervised.
Echo is also the one who gets called when Omega and her friends get into trouble during orientation weekend. He’s the one who will definitely bail them out with minimal questions asked. (That conversation will happen with Omega one-on-one later.)
Omega
She’s super excited about taking these next steps into her adult life. It’s a big move for her. That doesn’t mean that she won’t miss her brothers though.
Omega appreciates that they all moved her into her dorm room. Having their support means a lot to her.
She had scheduled calls with all of them set up before she even moved into her dorm room.
Omega has no trouble making friends in her dorm and on campus. She’s also going to be bringing friends who don’t have family nearby home on school breaks. She doesn’t want anyone to miss out on being around family, even if it’s just her weird family.
Even though she’s excited about this new stage in her life, she also gets sad when her brothers leave. She’s grateful that she has Lula. (Omega snuck a plushie from the college store into the car for Wrecker to find to replace Lula.)
+Rex
Somehow, he got roped into moving Omega into her college dorm room. He’s not sure how that happened. It just did, and here he is. So, he makes the best of the situation.
All of the moms love him.
Rex is a very handy guy. He gets all the beds lofted in a timely fashion.
Everyone thinks that he’s Omega’s dad. (He gets a kick out of it, especially since Hunter gets increasingly annoyed by that fact.)

Analysis of Phee and The Bad Batch
I know that this topic has been heavily discussed the last few days, so I apologize if any of these points are repetitive. I also am not discounting anyone’s differing opinions. I was a bit hesitant about shipping Tech and Phee together going into S2 E13, but five minutes in I was fully on board both with this amazingly sweet relationship and Phee being a straight up badass role model who I think is GREAT for the Batch as a whole.
Tumblr media
WHO PHEE REALLY IS
When Phee is introduced I think we all were expecting a typical pirate a la Hondo Ohnaka–funny, charming, dangerous, but ultimately just out for themselves and the chance of financial gain. Phee has way more complexity to her than this.
Moral Compass: She’s a good person. She has a moral compass, and a great one at that. She spends most of her time traveling the galaxy both to explore history and natural wonders but also to restore artifacts (many of which don’t even hold monetary value) to refugees who have lost their homes and cultures due to war. And she often risks her own life to do so. For a pirate she’s pretty dang honorable. I think this is when Tech really starts to warm up to her, because he is intrigued by and respects her value of these other cultures and her efforts to give people who lost their homes a sense of belonging.
Tumblr media
Intelligence: Phee is so smart both in intellect and emotional intelligence. She’s been around the galaxy for awhile and knows who to trust and who not to, even when she considers someone a friend (cough Cid cough). Her adventures require her to know and love history, science, and the appreciation of the art and cultures that she explores. While her mind works very differently than Tech’s, she has more than enough curiosity and learning to engage with his level of intelligence.
Bravery: Traipsing around the galaxy searching for lost treasure requires a lot of bravery and survival skills, especially when traveling alone. The Batch have pretty unique skill sets both as soldiers and survivors, and Phee is more than a match for all of them with both weapons and her ability to navigate dangerous situations.
Compassion: Her dynamic with Mayor Shep and his daughter Lyana, her help throughout the natural disaster the island faces, and the specific ways that she shows care for the Batch members and trusts them with her community, all speak highly of Phee as a person who adds safety and value to all of her relationships, something the Batch members desperately need.
Tumblr media
PHEE BOTH SEES AND CARES ABOUT EACH MEMBER OF THE BATCH
Hunter: He trusts her now. We open with the Batch playing bodyguard as Phee is negotiating a tense deal. Hunter is absorbed in the moment and is fully prepared to defend Phee no matter what. It’s clear that his previous dislike/distrust of her in their first encounters is gone, and that he trusts having Omega around her even in a dangerous situation. Phee has also softened towards him and talks with him quite a lot, both teasing him in a very sibling-like manner: “so why bring us?” “makes you wonder, doesn’t it”, but also quite seriously respecting him as the leader of the squad and the father of Omega. She directly voices her opinions and concerns to him and goes to great lengths to let him know she cares about Omega’s and their future, and he listens to her concerns. She knows that he wants to keep his family safe and settle down, and she wants to give him an example of what that could look like.
Tumblr media
One moment that really solidified this for me is how Phee reacted when Hunter pushed in between her and Tech as they were watching the sunset. Someone less acquainted with Hunter’s skills and brooding nature might have thought that he was just cutting between them or dismissed his qualms about what he was sensing. Phee’s reaction proves that she takes Hunter seriously because she immediately knows something is wrong and isn’t at all offended that her moment with Tech was interrupted.
Wrecker: While their interactions are more sparse, it’s clear that Phee understands Wrecker’s motivations too–food, helping others, rest. She brings them to a place his hunger can be satisfied, where his physical strength is an asset but it’s not the only reason he’s accepted, and she convinces Tech to let him and the girls sleep a little longer when Tech is ready to wake them up. Her face here says it all.
Tumblr media
Omega: In episode 5 we could have argued that like some other pirates we’ve had the pleasure of coming across (ahem Hondo again), she might have looked at Omega as just a little sidekick who she could impress and teach a few lessons. Here we see this is not the case. While she is impressed by her fighting skills, Phee is genuinely concerned about Omega’s livelihood and welfare as she gently suggests to Hunter that she needs friends and a stable place to grow up. By bringing them to Pabu she is able to introduce Omega to another girl her age, give her a chance to relax and be carefree, and show Hunter and Tech that there are sides of Omega that need to be nurtured, without dismissing their current life with Omega at all.
Tumblr media
Tech: Alright. The main reason why this post is being written 🥹🥹🥹. This little romance is the sweetest thing to me and with how much character growth we have gotten from Tech this season, I think seeing how Phee interacts with him only continues to highlight that growth and social connection.
I cannot get over how sensitive Phee is towards Tech. She understands how his brain works and doesn’t shame him for it, but simply tells him what her thoughts are without invalidating his. She accepts him for who he is while also showing him other ways of viewing the world. The way she pushes lightly against his boundaries and social awkwardness (especially around physical touch), but in a very respectful manner, always giving him the space to pull away or say no. How she knows that he’ll hate an overly boisterous social gathering and lightly teases him about it. How she gets him to put the data pad down and experience the world through his other senses. And as other people have more eloquently mentioned (shoutout to the Star Wars Universe Podcast), how she makes him feel safe. Safe enough for Tech to feel fully comfortable being himself around her, and also to begin to get curious about who she is and her points of view. She is giving him the space to meet her. And boy is he.
Tumblr media
We’ve already seen from previous episodes that Tech has a strong moral compass and cares about people suffering in the galaxy. Her sense of moral justice and care appeals to him and he respects it. Tech just watches her in awe and interest at how she deals with people. He is steadily falling for her. She shows him beauty. She shows him compassion. She shows him new ways of relating to others. She understands his family and how they all work together. She matches his level of interest and fascination about the world. And he’s melting in the face of it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THIS SMILE??? THIS MAN SMIRKED AT HER. SMIRKED, I TELL YOU. 🤩
Putting this caring, sensitive, socially awkward, neurodivergent, nerdy genius of a man and this badass, independent, kind-but-takes-no-bs, intelligent woman of color together is so fun to see. I’m loving these two and can’t wait to see where this goes.
