Live Action Movie 3 Ramble

Here’s stuff I wrote while watching the third live action movie. My more articulate ramble about the first movie is here (back in 2018, I have not watched it again before watching these two), and my ramble about movie 2 is here.

Combining the bandits and Izumi and Sig meeting Hohenheim is certainly a thing

I wonder why hoho is so concerned with his photo being damaged, wouldn’t alchemy be able to fix it? Actual alchemy not his 500k friends.

“Bring around the car” there’s a car? Where are we anyway

Hoho’s hand stab was stealthier, he avoids the Sig punch this day

People tell me right now why they keep translating the Gate (tobira/door) as portal.

The tiny title is also a choice that has been made. Makes me want to check the logos of these movies, since the first one had the ‘no’ in a red square.

Last movie used homunculus as plural, we homunculi now for real

Scar is in slow pursuit.

Ling is also Ling now and not Lin, hmmm

Envy’s eyes seem an interesting colour, like clear, also Ed avoids being eaten this time

Just being able to sense hoho is probably easier, might as well keep gluttony around for the next 90 minutes. Or just have Lan Fan kill him, either or.

Dude Pride hasn’t done that much to Ed, it’s all good here. Maybe you should have kept an eye on Al better.

The sacrifice pieces! I love them. They didn’t need to make those. They would have been useful for scale to me a while back but that’s ok.

I am Shoco, a woman denied her Hoho and Father fight. Two people who are the same actors (?) can fight, it worked in mortal kombat conquest.

This is a very calm coup. Al running the streets. Hey wait how did Al get his legs back on. I mean I know how but did Pride just bail and leave him there knowing the teleportal will get him later. Huh.

I forgot to say earlier but Sloth broke a column with his chain. Now Izumi has happened to throw him onto the broken base of the column. Rip Sloth.

Time for a greed-wrath fight, maybe setting up greed’s powers before right now would have been helpful though.

Pride activates the teleportal circle for the sacrifices, we are spared the gold toothed doctor in this movie.

I think Buccaneer can survive this, maybe rough him up a bit more. Or maybe let him live even.

Roy has been stigmata’d. Also Pride gets the Riza neck attack. Maybe this would work if he’d had his beef with Riza finding out about him and telling Roy about him, but I like it anyway. Better than Wrath doing that too.

From the microsecond I saw it Roy’s gate probably still has Riza’s tattoo on it.

I guess May has fixed Riza off screen and Bradders is just letting things happen.

Scar vs Wrath starts now, and Scar gets a Y mark on him, or a V.

Aw fuck the broken sword stab is happening within 10 seconds, not looking good for Scar. It’s gone through his arm oh no.

I wish people could all have cool eclipse sunglasses, but some people just have to damage their eyes.

Father’s already in the correct spot, guess Greed won’t be here to interrupt. Also maybe I’ll get to see the little figures again when he does the slam.

Ed wins his fight by clapping his hands, he can learn Stonefu without impalement. Zero fight to be had, but no Kimble so maybe everything is ok. Also he says Pride as the manga does rather than Selim the anime went with. And proper final dialogue, but that’s the anime running out of time’s fault and possibly an earlier draft, can’t complain.

RIP Pr-- I CAN’T EVEN SAY THAT. STILL! Your murderous intent has failed me again Edo. That red coat should be for covering Al up Edooo. Nooo

Riza’s made her way downstairs. Izumi did not give Roy a lift on the pillar. Oh yeah I’d better mention that Sig is not here to fight Sloth.

Blue light's coming out of Father’s mouth. Oh he was charging his mouth blast. This time it was an accident rather than him waiting for Ed to appear.

Hoho’s defense stance actually protected Izumi instead.

I like Father’s glitter slippers.

I always wonder why Roy claps his hands to do his alchemy. Like, he still needs to snap to make a spark right? I know his hands are wrecked so that might not be doable, but where’s the spark coming from. I guess he does still snap, but the glove pattern is ruined so has to also clap.

Ed would love to run, Hoho, but his arm is impaled. Maybe use your alchemy to take that thing from his arm.

I haven’t seen Greed in a while. All Greed has to do is not show up and he doesn’t have to die.

Welp.

Soul land is still blue. Also the lack of Stones being super common has meant they need to double back on the plot point from the first movie. A homunculus’ soul can die but leave their Stone intact with just regular souls I guess. Like Lust’s did, so the same here will happen to Greed to give Ling his emperor-ticket. Bring on the coup.

You didn’t need to do the helium voice for the Father crushing, movie, that aint right X3 or the sparkle noise afterwards.

Will Ling’s stone be used to fix Roy’s eyes?

Miles pulls his red eye reveal when Scar is recovering. Can’t remember if Scar knew or not in the manga before this point, but I guess not.

Shao May has finally showed up.

Roy’s staying blind I guess, he’ll have to track down Lust’s stone from movie one. At least Riza will be his eyes for the time being.

Also the scene of Scar bandaged up would have been better here and not earlier, since that’s the same day and this should be happening later. Or something.

The lady playing Pinako is sweet.

Ooh we get the afterlife scene of Hoho and Trisha. I wish that had been in the anime. The hand hold from Shunkan Sentimental is finally fulfilled. Wonder if it was a late addition or Arakawa didn’t tell them about it back then, or just a time thing since 63 ends on Hoho dying.

Winry didn’t back down to 85% on the proposal, Ed’s getting 100% this time lads.

No epilogue. We don’t see Pride again so maybe he just died down there ok

Appearance

The majority of her Cherry blossom pink hair is tied up in a high ponytail, though the parts that weren’t tied up was at the front, one either side spilling down her shoulders and of course cannot forget her wispy bangs. The same mint green eyes her grandfather wore. The colour of her hair was in a cheery blossom shade, alongside highlights that was in a more lighter tone. Under the purple orcas robe she did appear to be wearing a sleeveless pink dress that extended from her neck to her upper thigh. The dress had a silver brim around it and at the bottom is a silver trip. A metal silver guard, wrapping her stomach and between her breasts, edging the top, the details included tritons trident, seashells and three leaf clovers on the side. Over her left arm is a black sachel to carry her grimoire. On her right arm she has a sleeve from her lower limb that covers the entirety of the arm, the colours match the pink and silver tones, also including a some what thorn vine wrapped at the top. Below her dress are two thigh length shoes without any heel, pink mostly the majority colour and one noticeable silver threat going vertically in the middle with more silver designs on the bottom and top.

Childhood

Josslyn grew up as a happy girl who would always do anything with a smile. Constantly under the spotlight as a child most people were fascinated of how she excelled into the royal life, she would always get along with everybody, even the king. Though a traumatized event happened when Josslyn was about seven causing her to lose self control and be sent to a wealthy reform school for two years. After her two year exile she came back as a stubborn, grumpy women always glaring at somebody or rolling her eyes at Nozel. Even after declining every offer except for the Purple Orcas squad which turned many authority heads, including their captain. Joining the squad her merits was flying off the charts to the point where she was ranked to senior magic knight rank 2, below title of vice captain which should of been given to her but due to her rotten attitude.

Personality

Josslyn may be described as a beautiful woman to all but her beauty doesn’t reflect her personality. Josslyn definitely reflects her father more than her mother. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind and put anyone in their place, her reputation and social status is the least of her concerns, though she can never keep her cool and always bursts sooner than expected.

Lolicassé Profiles

(I'm so sorry for this I know it's ugly af!😭 the quality completely died when I imported the images into my computer.) Welcome one, welcome all! To Lolicassé the dorm of misfit toy! Founded on the intellect of the toymaker (though it's technically "founded" on a Micky mouse episode just like the Ramchakle dorm). The students in this dorm all use a classification of magic known as "creator" which permits them to build marvelous inventions and toys from simple everyday objects. Students here, are also able to transform into some sort of toy, which sometimes makes it hard to tell the students apart from the actual toys littering every corner of the dorm. If you are thinking of paying this dormitory little visit, BEWARE the students can get rather clingy and obsessed, and are not above using rather unorthodox means to keep their new playmate with them forever!

He is Lolicassé's deputy dorm leader who was raised in a military household and in such pride himself on being the "perfect" soldier. He devotes himself to "protecting" his dorm members which have caused him to get in multiple fights with students from other dorms. It is said that he idolizes Xerxes father. He can turn himself into a toy soldier like the rest of his family members.

Special Ability Icy bullet He is able to emit glacier bullets from his body that freeze what every they touch. Due to his polished target skills he hardly ever misses his target.

An emotionless boy with a doll-like beauty that can transform into a porcelain victorian era doll. His beauty is rumored to rival that of the Pomefiore perfect. He is said to be deprived of emotions. He rarely speaks and doesn't have any friends. Some students say that they see him roaming the Ramshackle graveyard in the unholy hours of the night.

Special ability Dollhouse his special ability permits him to bring inanimate objects to life. However they have to be objects that he himself makes. As of right now his ability can only keep something alive for exactly 3 minutes and 52 seconds.

He considers Xerxes his only real friend. He is able to transform into an anime figurine. It is rumored that he has a pair of wings though no one has ever seen them.

Special Ability White Raven, Black raven It is unclear if he was born with this ability or if it was implanted in him when he was a young child. But his voice is able to manipulate the will of others. After an unfortunate incident some students have speculated that he also has the ability to control the life span of those under the influence of his voice.

He was created in the city of misfit toys, but raised in the Village of Harvest were his family owned a small farm where they mostly grew pumpkins and corn. The chain around his neck tethers his body and mind to the soul of a famous killer, although this is all just a rumor it's still more than enough to get other students to avoid him at all costs.

Special Ability Plague's kiss He can emit a deadly toxin from his body which causes people to transform into hideous monsters and submit to his will. Although even after years of practice he is only able to create a max of five monsters.

A trickster, who's elaborate tea parties are talked about all over the school and usually gather a large crowd. He grew up in a crowded family consisting of 13 siblings in which he was the "middle" child. His family owned a famous chain of restaurants that were known for their "childlike glow". Due to the restaurants taking up much of his parent's time, Valentino became accustomed to staying at home and only having his siblings as companions. Although he did enjoy the company of his younger siblings he detested his older, bossier siblings. His toy form is that of an old mangled teddy bear.

Special ability Childhood tea party Valentino is able to create a lifelike simulation of someone's memory, however, the illusion only lasts up to four minutes.

A loud, hyperactive claustrophobic first year who's voice seems to constantly be echoing around the halls. Despite being a Jack in the box, he hates small, dark, confinements. He's rather happy go lucky and usually doesn't care much about what goes on around him.

Special Ability Pop goes the Weasel His body becomes as flexible like a spring, permitting him to jump around and attach to walls. According to a certain hunter, Jess's special ability would make him an amazing huntsman. Although the first year seems to prefer using his power set to prank his classmates and teachers.

Alright so this is how I'm going to do things. Interactions are open for these characters, meaning you guys can send them asks (yandere or normal. How they would react to something/Someone up to you), just talk to them or whatever else you can come up with. I'll do my best to answer everything, whoever if I think an ask better deserves a drawing as an explanation I'll put it on hold and make a quick sketch for it later. This whole dorm was really a giant drawing practice and since I really want to start digital I might re-draw them later (not likely but we'll see). I'm thinking if these characters get popular (Idk 55 likes and maybe 10 interactions) I'll release sprites of the characters doing poses similar to the TW boys (basically how I imagine them if they where in the game) and maybe later even do some chibis of the boys. Although I seriously doubt anyone is going to like or read this 😂 🤣 😂🤣. Also a huge thank you to everyone that encouraged me to continue working on this it means so much to me! And a special thank you to Rinna ( @minoux-deactivated20200516 ) the creator of Terrorwood who inspired me to take the first step in making this dorm. Fic: Haven (4/50)

Summary: They say Resembool is a haven, and they’re right. Lush pastures, quaint country town, farmers’ markets on Saturdays: a bucolic paradise.

But it’s more than that. Resembool is a haven for the runaways, the deserters, the people who don’t want to be found…

The Resembool community knows there’s something odd about Hohenheim, but they’re not going to let that stop them helping him out. This is Resembool after all, a place where no one has to hide and neighbours help neighbours, be they building a fence, chasing a sheep, or trying to save the country from an evil they inadvertently helped release centuries ago…

Or: A series of slices of life in an AU in which Hohenheim never leaves, and several broken state alchemists find hope and home in Resembool.

Hohenheim has never really done what one might call ‘dating’ before. There were a few girls back in Xerxes who had turned his head, and once he’d got his freedom he’d stepped out with one of them a couple of times, but it had never really progressed to anything resembling a proper courtship.

Since Xerxes, starting and maintaining a romantic relationship hasn’t been one of his priorities. It’s only now that he’s settled in Resembool having made peace with the souls that he’s begun to think that having a family isn’t something that’s completely out of his reach. It’s only now that he’s met Trisha Elric that he’s begun to think about love and romance in a way he’s never done before, and even that only happened after two weeks of Pinako needling him to ask Trisha out because his spark of attraction is most definitely returned.

Hohenheim has not, understandably, kept up to date with modern romantic practices. He remembers that in Xerxes, the custom was to gift your intended’s family a camel when you asked for permission to marry, but Trisha’s family are all gone and he has no idea where to find a camel in Resembool. Besides, he can’t marry her since he doesn’t legally exist in this country, and despite the fact that he’s fallen head over heels in love with her, it’s too soon to be thinking about anything like that. She knows what he is - everyone in town does - but all the same, there’s no guarantee that she would be happy about it in the long run.

The only other thing that he can remember from courtship in Xerxes is the preserved figs. They used to change hands between lovers a lot. He can get figs when the traders from Ishval come to the market once a month, and although he doesn’t know how to preserve them, the sentiment will be the same.

So, still not entirely sure of what he’s doing, Hohenheim goes to procure some figs. It must be a tradition in Ishval as well, as the trader gives him a wink and packs them carefully in a pretty box with tissue paper. He gets a bunch of flowers too, Pinako having lamented a few times that Yuriy is in the process of bankrupting himself buying flowers for Sarah. Feeling entirely ridiculous, Hohenheim heads along the winding village lanes to Sarah’s family home, where Trisha has been living since her own parents passed.

Sarah answers the door, looks at the flowers and the figs, and grins from ear to ear, calling back inside the house.

“Trisha! You’ve got a date!”

“What?” Trisha comes to the door, wiping her hands on her apron. “Sarah, what are you…” She trails off on seeing Hohenheim helpless on the doorstep and smiles. “Hello.”

“Hello.”

“I’ll put these in water for you.” Sarah grabs the flowers and prances away, and Hohenheim and Trisha have barely had time to exchange two sentences about the nice weather that they’re having at the moment when Sarah returns, unceremoniously divests Trisha of her apron and shoves her bodily out of the door.

“Sarah! My cookies!”

“I’ll get them out of the oven for you.” Sarah shuts the door.

“Sarah!” Trisha sighs, and turns to Hohenheim. “Well, since we’re both here, do you want to take a walk with me?”

Hohenheim gives a sigh of relief at not having to make the first move. He hopes that it’s not too obvious.

“That would be lovely.”

By the time Trisha returns home later that afternoon, her cookies are burned (Sarah cannot bake despite her best efforts) but she really doesn’t care. It was a date. An actual date. With Van Hohenheim. Who, whilst still quite possibly the most oblivious man in Amestris, is now showing a genuine interest in pursuing something with her. After all, he gave her some figs, shyly saying that’s what they used to do back in his homeland and apologising for their not being preserved in honey.

(She decided against trying to eat them in a sultry fashion to gauge his reaction. She thinks he’d probably either have a heart attack or, more likely, not notice at all.)

When he walked her back to the garden gate and she had gone up on her toes to kiss him, he had returned it, hesitantly at first but then a proper, real kiss, a romantic kiss that could not be construed as anything but.

It continues like this for a few months. Sarah complains that their relationship is moving at a snail’s pace, but Trisha doesn’t mind. It’s a comfortable relationship, and she knows that it’ll take time to get a four-hundred year old immortal Philosopher’s Stone to open up and be willing to take things up a gear. But there are flowers, and figs, and Trisha bakes cookies for him, and things are happy and easy.

That’s not to say that it’s plain sailing. Trisha knows that it never will be. Van has to contend with half a million voices in his head on a daily basis, not all of whom like her yet and some of whom have been known to throw him off mid-sentence by making increasingly lewd suggestions as to what he could be getting up to with her. Added to that, there’s the undeniable fact that he doesn’t age and can’t really die, and Trisha most definitely does and can. She’s assured him that it doesn’t matter to her, but she knows that it eats at him.

It’s a few weeks after her twentieth birthday that she goes home with him and stays the night, in his bed and in his arms, and a few weeks after that, she moves into that home and that bed permanently. It’s not that she doesn’t give him any choice in the matter, but she’s very blunt about making her desires known and even he can’t misunderstand ‘we’ve been together for almost ten months and I want to live with you now’. Sarah agrees that being subtle would not have worked despite her admonitions at that first bonfire night.

Their life together is beautiful in its simplicity; Van notes that it’s such a change from the complexities of his existence so far. Trisha knows that there are challenges they will have to face together, but she’s content with her lot and joyful in her love, and she wouldn’t have things any other way.

My week has been good!

I got Lady Teapot back and I already had a little tea party with her and my friend Vermillion (and Circuit, her Dwemer spider). I also spent time with the family in the Isle of Tulips (little vacation, it was delightful! Granddaughter Aurelia had so much fun!), attended a friend’s birthday (Xerxes’) and got to cat Abnur time and again!

I appointed a provisional Duke, so the post isn’t vacant until I find a more suitable replacement. He’s doing well, all things considered. As for the former Duke’s whereabouts... Not a clue.

Happy Birthday Akira Ishida! (Nov 2)

This is mostly taken from the post I made for him last year, but I added some roles and videos which are fun!

He’s a veteran voice actor who’s quite reserved. He’s so popular that he refuses roles but tries to not look rude. According to Aoi Yuuki, even though she recorded multiple scenes with Akira Ishida for Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, she never talked to him. Sugita just replied, “It’s like that for everyone.” When some new girls were introducing himself, he just replied, “Ah, it’s fine, I’m not gonna remember anyway” Nakamura (who was there) said, “ He said that like he was rejecting them!” Even the Gintama cast (Rie Kugimiya and Sugita) had a hard time inviting him for udon after recording. And speaking of Gintama, when recording the Shinsengumi Crisis arc, a cast member asked him to bring him a coffee pod to which he responded, “Go to hell!” Ironically, that character later died that arc anyway. He doesn’t sing his character songs anymore since he doesn’t think it’s good enough for people to actually pay money for. But he can rely on his good friend Hoshi Souichirou; it’s even said that he won’t go to a party unless his friend is present. A lot of seiyuu look up to him including Miyuki Sawashiro, Sakurai Takahiro, Yuki Kaida, Masaya Onosaka, Aoi Shouta, and Mai Nakahara.

Elric is grim as he looks at him and Alex. They're to take up the rear, with Alex collapsing each section of the tunnel behind them to make it difficult to impossible for anyone to follow them.

Difficult because making structurally sound tunnels like Alex has is a highly specialized skill that's impossible to replicate without another Armstrong or an alchemist of Elric's caliber is impossible, but blowing them up is within the skillset of several alchemists within the government's employ.

The journey takes several days. They lose people along the way, those who had sacrificed limbs to make their city's destruction believable and who's bodies give in to shock or sepsis or something that Alex calls an embolism.

Most live, however. Missing limbs and groaning and miserable and in pain, but they live.

When they finally see light at the end of the tunnel, he thinks it's a hallucination. When they crawl out and they're greeted by someone who looks eerily similar to Elric, he's sure he is.

"Another one?" he says to Alex, who shrugs. He turns to Roy then says, "Well, I'm Alphonse. Welcome to Xerxes."

He gestures around them and Roy is blinded by silver and gold.

Golden sand and ivory buildings and silver automail, so many of the people coming forward to help the new refugees sporting shiny metal limbs.

No wonder Elric had been scouring the personnel records for automail mechanics.

No wonder the military had been having such a hard time recruiting any of them.

Somehow, they've all managed to find their way to Xerxes.

What’s this? Who are these adorable children? Y’all should’ve seen this coming since I like Next Gens. That, and both Seren and Yang have appeared in fics now, so i decided to do a full post on them.

So we have some kids for the EdWin/EdLing polyship, and a couple AlMei kids.

Edit: Added some more character info.

Let’s start with the Ed Sandwich (EdLing/Edwin Polyship)! My favorite and most consistent polyship tbh. While Yang is the only one that’s biologically Ling’s, all the kids are considered his just as much. To differentiated between Paternal figures, Ed is called ‘Dad’ while Ling is ‘Papa’.

So, some explanation on Yang before doing bios. I’ll go into more detail if asked, but Yang was made by Alchemically combining Ed and Ling’s genetics into a surrogate mother(Winry). Yang and Aydan are also ‘twins’, since they didn’t know that Winry was a few weeks pregnant with Aydan when they made Yang.

Seren

Born 1920

“”Quiet”” one of the group. Tends to try and puzzle things out and rarely asks for help.

He’s the one who sets the toaster on fire. Claims he was just trying to make toast, but possibly was trying to dismantle it to see how it functions.

As an adult, he’s the one who ends up in the family Automail shop.

Panromantic Asexual (Sex positive I guess? Like, if he had a partner he would enjoy sleeping with them.)

Aydan

Born 1921

The leader of the group, tends to figure things out on her own but will ask questions if she can’t.

Once (Accidentally) tripped Mustang into landing face-first in birthday cake(Ed hugs her for that.). Mustang wants to be mad but the kids are too cute for him to even try(he is so soft with them it’s ridiculous)

Honestly, she’s probably the one kid that ends up in the military. Ed is Very Upset™ about that, but she’s an adult and he can’t stop her. He absolutely does threaten Mustang with a ‘if you send her somewhere and get her killed I will murder you’. Mustang’s like ‘that’s fair’, and does try to protect her. But, well, Aydan is related to Ed so just try and stop her. That said, Amestris is in an era of peace for the moment, so she does get a break.

Bisexual

Yang

Born 1921

She’s the kid who speaks without thinking, and always asks questions. Curious af.

Yang inherited Ling’s climbing habits. Which is bad for the kids’ babysitter, Elicia. During hide and seek one night Yang climbed on top of the fridge where Elicia couldn’t see her, and nearly gave the poor kid a breakdown because she couldn’t find her.

The artist of the family. Ends up as a painter/writer. Loves historic cultures/myths and legends. She absolutely writes and publishes a book about the whole fuckery of what happened in Xerxes and all of the Promised Day shit. Like, what really went down instead of what the official reports say. But she passes it off as ‘fiction’. (Everyone else is simultaneously proud and pissed off)

Bi/Pan(I am undecided)

AlMei kids! - Not much to say here since it’s just two parents and both kids were made the old fashioned way. But anyway!

Auriana

Born 1921

She has two moods, “naptime” and “Gotta go fast!”. Has a talent for wandering off (and giving her parents a heart attack when they realize she’s gone).

Never thinks things through, just kinda goes for it. Everyone’s kind of surprised because Al and Mei are the ‘responsible’ ones of the family, but that’s only because most people forget that these two can be just as much of a chaotic disaster as the rest of the family(I mean, Al was co-conspirator in most of Ed’s shenanigans, and Mei accidentally befriended a serial killer so…). Auriana just happened to inherit that.

That said, she might be a little bit of a disaster, but the one place she’s fantastic is in the kitchen.

Lesbian

Sylvian

Born 1922

Very quiet. Not that she’s shy or anything, she just doesn’t speak nearly as much as everyone else. Don’t let that fool you. She’s just as much a force for chaos as the rest of the family.

The closest thing to being ‘the responsible one’. She does tend to thinks things though, and can remain calm under pressure and overall diplomatic.

Honestly, I’ll go into it in the next paragraph, but probably the one of the Next Gen to end up ruling Xing?

Bi/Pan(I am undecided)

So, on that note, the whole thing with Xing and the ‘heir to the throne’ stuff.

Like, Ling did become Emperor. And he gets rid of the old system of the fifty wives thing. But there’s the question of ‘who inherits the throne after him’?

Out of Ling’s kids I’d say Aydan, because she has good Leadership qualities and could do it. However, they all kind of know that the people of Xing would not accept her as Empress. As much as all of the family considers Aydan to be Ling’s daughter, people outside of the family don’t always see it that way. Especially when it comes to this, as she’s not biologically Ling’s. Hell, she’s not even Xingese.

Yang is biologically Ling’s(though some people question it due to Ed and Ling both being male and they don’t always explain how she was made…), but Yang is not suited for the role and does not want to do it.

However, before the kids were even born, Ling decided that if he gets killed then Mei can have the throne. Therefore, her kids are also eligible. As mentioned, Auriana isn’t the best fit due to her not being a ‘think things through’ person. Sylvian, however, is.

Obviously they let her decide for herself if she wants that, but still.

Other notes on family things:

Any characters who are close to Ed and Al get called ‘aunt’ and ‘uncle’ by the kids. Some adore it, some pretend to hate it but it’s obvious they adore it, and one had a minor breakdown of happiness the first time.

Due to… certain character relationships… it is debated over whether Mustang should be called ‘uncle’ or ‘grandpa’. Mustang’s response was basically “fuck you no way in hell am I being called ‘grandpa’ before I’m at least 50! I’ll settle for 45 if I have to but holy shit not yet!”.

When they’re younger, the kids don’t realize how weird their family is, and they say weird things that confuse newcomers.

Sometimes it’s relatively normal. For example, Seren, Aydan, and Yang refer to Ed as ‘Dad’ and Ling as ‘Papa’. They don’t realize that new people wouldn’t know about their family situation, so they don’t clarify that ‘Dad’ and ‘Papa’ are two different people.

Sometimes it’s more ridiculous and ‘unexplainable’ things, like saying ‘Grandpa used to be Immortal!’

I know some people do the thing of ‘naming the kids after dead characters’, but... well, firstly this happens in the EHSA AU so some of those characters aren’t dead. Secondly, I don’t like the ‘naming a kid after a dead person’ thing because it feels less like ‘honoring the memory’ and more like ‘I can’t let go and I’m gonna take this out on the kid’(Even if it’s well-intentioned and supposed to be honoring the memory). So I just grabbed other names! Though they are themed... but you know how it goes with me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also! Heights! I don’t have exact heights in numbers but I can give how tall they are in relation to other characters and eachother.

Yang is tall! Not only tallest of the group but also in general because she’s taller than 2/3 of her parents.

Seren is pretty average height for a male character (About the same height as Ed)

Aydan and Auriana are average height for female characters(About the same height as Winry). However, Aydan seems taller because of the shoes she wears. The boots of the military uniform are thick and heeled enough to add some height, and she usually wears heels when out of uniform.

Sylvian is tiny like her mom.
