Kendra and Stephen have been going to Cupid's Counseling for quite a few years now. Their relationship may not ever go back to "the way it was" - but they are making it work for their children. Speaking of - Chase has started school and joined scouts! His Papa and Meme brought him bike for his birthday - so he's been practicing every single afternoon. Lauren's birthday is coming soon. "Lola" Siu Lin (Stephen's mom) babysits her while Kendra and Stephen are at work. She's definitely going to miss her when she goes to school.

Kacey and Jace have come a long way since Cupid's Corner. They are married and just welcomed their first son, Jayce (yes, Kacey + Jace = Jayce... it was her idea...). Kacey did land her dream job as a marine biologist in Sulani - however, she declined. Although she swore she would never come back here after university, Kayce realized that her heart is in Copperdale... her family, her husband, and her newborn. Recently - she took a position at the local conservation to persevere Copperdale's lakes. She's happy.

For her 57th birthday (16 Aug), Carman Lee decided to try (not the first time really, but this is the first time she's attempted and recorded an original song) her hand at singing.

Though obviously she's not a professional singer, for an amateur, I'd say it's not bad? And the song is easy on the ears at least! Even if not very memorable…

What's more delightful to me is that she chose to sing a song in Cantonese! (Carman's Mother Tongue is Cantonese) Just happy to hear a Canto song! (^^)

BIOGRAPHY:

The Müller household was as typical as could be - besides maybe the fact that there were no boys to speak of. Soo was the last of three, and considered as much of a blessing as the first two. Her childhood was busy, and fairly strict, but there was no lack of love or fun; blending learning with playing and balancing nights in with evenings out - and by the age of seven when she was to go off to Mahoutokoto school of magic in Japan, she was fluent in both Japanese and Korean, and had started showing promise in the control of her metamorphmagus abilities, although her parents wished she spent the time on practicing more practical things. 

It was on the first day that she met Bo-da, a young girl from the other side of South Korea, and they hit it off immediately, inseparable in classes and owling each other over weekends and breaks. Soo was inspired by her friend to study English, much to her parents' approval, and things seemed perfect. But just when they were most excited - the summer before they'd finally be able to live together at the school, Bo-da’s family moved away. 

The little girl didn't let it dampen her spirits too much, though she missed her friend greatly, and she moved into the school with her sisters, but she had a hard time focusing. Naturally gifted, it was a frustration to both her professors and her parents that she didn't have perfect marks, but Siu didn't want to sit behind a desk and read from a book - she wanted to explore and experience. 

When she was thirteen, her father informed them they'd be moving back to his hometown of Germany - his mother was having a hard time as she aged and they'd go stay with her to help. It was a good thing she'd decided to learn English, because her mother told her she'd be calling herself Suzy and going to Hogwarts. 

The school felt vastly different, but the magic of Hogwarts was warm and comfortable and she quickly made herself at home, sorted into Hufflepuff away from her two sisters (they had been put in Ravenclaw) she quickly discovered a familiar face in her first potions class: Bo-da, now going by Greta. It suited her - but Suzy didn't suit Soo. She decided to go by Kitty, an inside joke between her and her friend but it had caught on, and it felt right.

However, if her parents thought Hogwarts would help her get back on track academically, they were wrong. She had been farther along in her curriculum at Mahoutokoto, and she grew bored easily in class - daydreaming and doodling lines of poetry in the side of her journals. 

The day she picked up a guitar, it was all over. The poems she had been writing were lyrics, and she spent long nights by the fireplace learning to play the instrument, singing softly to herself. It didn't take long until she had convinced her sisters to join, and though her parents were far from happy that all three were forgoing stability to try their hand at music, they supported The Weird Sisters as they graduated and rented a small flat together, playing small gigs whenever they could and barely making enough to scrape by. But somehow, some way, they did it. They made it, and got booked for larger slots and opened for some of the most popular wix bands until one day - their agent told them they'd be headlining. 

They'd made it - and they'd done so with a war raging around them. But that hadn't mattered, because the Müller sisters - the Weird Sisters, had never picked a side, being too busy going out and getting everything they'd ever wanted.

" happy brithday. " pushing herself up on the tips of her toes, lumine touches a hand to baizhu's cheek, and pulls him in for a deep kiss.

He is not used to being... doted upon like this. Birthdays in years past have been spent rather humbly, sharing an evening meal with Qiqi and Gui and, occasionally, allowing them to bestow a gift upon him that he doesn't insist they keep. There is little significance that he places upon the day for himself - it is simply another day - but he will indulge those around him.

And he certainly had not expected her to be here, not when her travels were taking her across the sea. Yet, here she stands in his kitchen, as at home as he could ever wish for her to be, and whatever it is she's cooking on his stove smells delicious.

"You should have told me you were coming," he utters with a soft laugh, setting down the notes and scroll cases he has carried with him from the pharmacy, "though I suspect this was intended as a surprise..."

He crosses to her, Changsheng slithering away to coil in her favourite spot, and happily accepts the kiss she draws him into. He indulges for longer than he knows he should - he has missed her, terribly so, and her surprise return is by far the greatest gift he could receive today.

"Thank you, my dear." His hand lays gently upon her cheek, his smile soft and fond as he looks upon her. "Truly a wonderful surprise. Now, I do hope you have plenty of tales to share with me whilst we enjoy this delicious dinner you appear to be cooking for me..."

Summary:

The Hong Kong movie "The Monkey King vs. the Imps" was produced by Yulian Film Company in 1966. The film is adapted from the literary masterpiece "Journey to the West" written by Wu Cheng'en, directed by Huang Hesheng, and starring Xiao Fangfang, Chen Baozhu, Li Hong, Hong Hong, Méiguī nǚ, Ruan Siu Fai, Guan Haishan, Mei Xin, Xigua Zhao and others.

Turtle Spirit took advantage of the Taishang Laojun's visit to the Queen Mother's birthday banquet, and went to the mortal world in private, pretending to be the Tathagata Buddha in an attempt to intercept Tang Sanzang and his disciples Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing, and Bailong Wuzhen who was going to the Western Regions to learn Buddhist scriptures.

In order to eat Tang Sanzang's meat, the Turtle Spirit cast a spell to deceive Monkey King's piercing eyes, making Tang Sanzang and his party mistakenly think that they have arrived at Tianzhu Temple. The four disciples were taken to paradise by the fairies Miao Ci, Miao Shan, Miao Fa, and Miao Xuan respectively, and they were so happy that they forgot to return. Miao Shan drinks alcohol and reveals her original shape, Wukong knows he is deceived. Quickly he asks the juniors to find a way to take the master away, but the Turtle Spirit has already laid a net, and Tang Sanzang is still captured. Wukong fights the goblin with his younger brother Wuzhen, but unfortunately, he couldn't defeat Ruilai's magic weapon and was captured.

In order to save his master, Wuzhen uses the beauty trap to ask Miao Ci for help and Miao Ci fell in love with Wuzhen, secretly releases him, and rescues Wukong. Wukong and Wuzhen ask Guanyin for help, but even though Sun Wukong has seventy-two changes, he still cannot beat the turtle spirit and is caught by Turtle Spririt. In order to save Wuzhen, Miao Ci fled to invite Guanyin but unexpectedly, even Guanyin couldn't subdue him, so the group had to ask the Laozi. They turn the turtle spirit pretending to be the Buddha back to its original form who turned out to be a Yellow-Browed boy under Taishang Laojun. Gaunyin took Miao Ci and others who were kind-hearted into their seats, and Tang Seng and his disciples set out on the road westward again.
