Hi, I would have loved to play in your new save file but I'm having some issues with it :( When I Ioaded into it, the wallpapers were question marks with background colors, so I went to the creator's patreon (sooky88), downloaded and replaced them and then it worked. But I've noticed something else and I dont know if it's intended or not : there was only two matresses in the house for a family of 3 and nothing else in the bedrooms. Is something isn't working again for me, or is this normal ?

I apologize about this! If you are playing on a Windows PC and have the new DirectX update - the wallpapers may have a glitch. Thank you for letting me know about this as I am on a Mac. Also, yes, the houses are "move-in-ready". I will be furnishing each individually on my Youtube channel. I plan to use custom content - so, I didn't want to overload anyone's computer, lol. Thank you for downloading the save and sharing this with me. 🤎

New Year, New Save File ✨

Simkhira’s Small Town Save File is inspired by my little hometown in Southeast, USA. For this save, I wanted to create a world that caters to all of my favorite gameplay styles (country core, university core, legacy core, etc.) in a nostalgic way that made sense to me. Over the past couple of months, I have been able to transform Willow Creek into something that I am really proud of. I hope you all enjoy the lots, the backstories, and the small town political lore just as much as I do.

What’s Included in Version 1:

21 Lots (5 Community Lots / 16 Move-In Ready Residential Lots)

17 Households (50 Sims / 64 including animals)

All of the Sims have relevant careers, skills, lifestyles, public reputations, likes and dislikes, gender preferences, romance preferences, turn ons and turn offs, relationship dynamics, defined walkstyles, and defined voices.

Disclaimer: I own all of the EP's, GP's, SP's, and Kits.

Custom Content (Included):

This save file contains 1GB worth of custom content. I have included these files in the download to save any hassle. If the game opens and says you are missing content, no you are not. I have play-tested this save file using only the files included and did not find any issues.

How to Install Save Files:

Make a backup of your “Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves” folder.

Download the file, unzip, and place the file in your “Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves” folder.

If you already have a file with the same name, change the slot number to a number that you don’t have. (i.e. change Slot_00000000d.save to Slot_00000009d.save)

Once you open your game, you will see “Simkhira’s Small Town Save V1”. Open it!

Once opened, “Save As” to create a copy of the save file for your own gameplay.

If the game says that you are missing custom content, no you aren’t. I have double-checked.

Lastly, enjoy and have fun!

getting older & getting married 💍

That's right, Caleb and Chloe are getting older and Salim is getting married... to Skye (a random generated townie), the sweetest woman ever.

As soon as Salim was about to give up on Cupid's Corner, he met Skye. After the first date, he knew she was the one. The chemistry, the conversation, and the autonomous crush were all sure signs that they were meant for each other.

They dated (quickly), he gave her a key to his apartment (aww), she met the kids (who both love her), she moved in (finally), they saved money (20k), he proposed (finally), and they brought a beautiful home in Brindleton Bay.

In a short lifespan legacy, life really does happen fast. 🤎

Salim Benali and Jade Rosa are co-parenting their twins, Caleb and Chloe, the best way they know how. 🤎

extremely long backstory:

I have always wanted to complete a short lifespan legacy challenge. I usually get too attached to my families to finish. However, I decided to go for it... starting with Salim Benali.

I started in @coolpuppy12's 'DooDoo' save file (highly recommend), where Salim lives with Johnny Zest. I thought this was very fitting. Spoiler Alert: Johnny ends up marrying Zoe Patel and having a son, JJ Landgraab. We love them.

So, like most modern romance origin stories, Salim opened Cupid's Corner, and matched with multiple women. He spent most of his (short) days dating around and having one night stands. The result of his one night stand with Jade Rosa? TWINS.

At first, this was fine. Jade was actually the first date Salim developed a crush on. When she told him about the pregnancy, he was excited. When she asked to move in with him, he was... not so excited? (Remember, he shared a small two bedroom apartment with Johnny, Zoe, and Baby JJ.) Nonetheless, they allowed Jade to move in. When she asked him to be in a relationship (yes, she asked), he said "yes" out of pure obligation. He never intended for things to get this far, but here we are.

Instead of taking Jade seriously, Salim took other girls on dates. Yes, it was wrong. Yes, he got caught. Jade was heartbroken, pregnant, and forced to live with her "ex" (AND HIS ROOMMATES!) Things quickly took a turn for the worst. Jade ended up (autonomously) fighting Salim, and that's when they both knew it was time to call it quits.

Jade saved up enough money to rent a two-bedroom apartment in the Spice District. Salim felt bad about disturbing the Zests' peace, so he also moved into a one-bedroom apartment in the Arts District. Thanks to Lumpinou's child custody mod - the twins, Caleb and Chloe, alternate between each household every three days. This isn't an ideal situation, but at least he and Jade are cordial enough to co-parent.

Initially, I was solely focused on Salim... but now, I alternate between households. I never thought I would be a Jade Rosa apologist, but here I am. She deserves a happy ending. Salim deserves to find what he's looking for. AND I deserve to finish this f-cking short lifespan challenge once and for all! 🤎

Yesterday, I created a new personal save just to play The Sims 4: Life and Death expansion pack. I have been wanting to complete a 10 generation short lifespan legacy challenge... and I think I can make it with them. (PS: I believe that about every new family I create, lol.) 😅 So, just in case I don't make it to the finish line with them, hopefully you will. 🖤

40 years ago, Gwenevere left the big city and eloped with soldier, Sterling Cole. Maybe it was his strong country accent, or her artsy free-spirited personality; either way, they both knew it was love at first sight. Strangerville was different from San Myshuno, but their son, Jameson, was born there; so it’s special. In their elder years, the Cole’s are giving the city another chance. They are looking forward to being closer to Jameson, now that he and his wife, Yara, are expecting.

I was playing around in CAS after the release of The Sims 4: Life and Death expansion pack, and I created this household (with potential for some messy inheritance drama...) 🖤

Lucille may not be around much longer. Thankfully, her children are around to help get her affairs in order. After taking over his father's undertaking business, Clarence is financially stable. However, his sister, Laurie, is skeptical of his wife's motives. Why does Kerry want Lucille to move in with them so suddenly? Is she attempting to harbor the family's inheritance for the twins, Caden and Camille? Not on Laurie's watch. While Laurie is keeping a keen eye on her brother's marriage, hers is falling apart. Her husband, Lamont, would really appreciate if she spent more time with him and their son, Lawrence.
