it snowed yesterday. first snow of the year, and i think the first snow of winter over here. it reminded me of home, the powdery white on top of every roof and the stubborn resistence it had to melting away. it's still on the grass now, patchy as all hell, and suddenly i remember that i'm here again, home -- it's not the same one, it isn't wolf trap, but it's pretty close. (literally pretty close. like a 40-minute drive.)

i miss hannibal. genuinely, i miss him. but t gets lonely without him, without abigail, without anyone i knew. it makes me want to throw up when i think about the fact i can’t contact either of them. i want to feel hannibal’s presence. i want to hug abigail, tell her i’m sorry. it’s not fair- how come i can remember these things but not do anything about them? i miss my husband and i miss my daughter.

I have a theory.
