Another Colleague Conversation
I recently had a conversation with a friend and colleague about stuff they shared regarding the rescue operation of the four hostages. They had posted the tweet from the Deeja account that said in all capital letters that Israel used an aid truck. I reached out because 1) I know this person to be reasonable and evidence based, and 2) I knew they were coming from a place of genuine concern that was being manipulated. For context, this friend is a brilliant geneticist that I have know for nearly 2 decades as we did our undergrad together and have stayed in touch ever since. They're a kindhearted person and their work has led to some breakthroughs that highlight this trait as they've worked on certain types of genes that can have detrimental mutations when expressed. As I've said before, a lot of people are empathetic and sympathetic individuals to the plight of others, and those behaviors are being manipulated for nefarious reasons.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Me: Hey G, that thing you shared about the aid truck? Yeah, that's not the complete story or accurate.
G: What?! What do you mean?
Me: It wasn't an aid truck that they used. In fact, only that tweet and Al Jazeera were reporting that initially. All the other sites, including pro-Israel and anti-Israel, were reporting a civilian truck of some sort. Most said a moving/furniture truck.
G: Wait. Hold on. So it was a moving truck then?
Me: Well...we now know it was a soap truck.
G: Why the fuck are people saying it was an aid truck then?
Me: You know the reason.
G: Yeah...okay, admittedly I am not well informed on all this. Thank you for reaching out and correcting me. Do you have any suggestions on how to stay informed? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ (Now this is where it gets interesting because at this point they say something that I knew was a thing on some level, but hadn't really put the pieces together.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Me: Well, I wouldn't share anything from Al Jazeera. All they do is spout Hamas propaganda. I'd also avoid accounts that share from them as well, unless you're really interested in what the propaganda is itself. I'd avoid JVP since they're the Autism Speaks of Jewish groups. And also avoid SJP groups, many of them openly support terrorist groups and have been recently endorsing domestic terrorism. G: Wait, wait, wait. AJ is bad? I've been following them since we were in undergrad.
Me: Since undergrad?
G: Yeah, they were the only ones covering news in a Lefty manner. Like, remember when Occupy Wallstreet broke out during grad school? They were the one of the few news sites that covered it in a left leaning manner.
Me: Ah fuck...that makes sense. Okay. So. AJ is the state media of Qatar, think of it like RT or Sputnik. Qatar has literally hosted the leaders of Hamas for years and they live there in multi-million dollar homes. AJ pretty much acts as the propaganda mouthpiece for Hamas through Qatar.
G: But what does that have to do with how they covered stuff when we were younger?
Me: Well, there was a meeting in 1993 in Philly of Hamas members that was wiretapped. Those wiretaps were submitted as evidence during some trials in the 00s and they revealed that Hamas had planned at that meeting to use the language of progressive Westerners to garner support for their cause and manipulate them.
G: oh
G: Oh, fuck!
G: So you're saying they purposefully set themselves up to be more sympathetic to Leftists and manipulate them through using their jargon and it's on tape?!
Me: Yep. Here's the link (https://extremism.gwu.edu/sites/g/files/zaxdzs5746/files/2023-10/the-hamas-network-in-america.pdf)
Me: Now there's a lot more to that doc. It goes over how they planned to set up research groups to influence academia, political groups for politics, and charity groups to raise money. The latter of which is what the 00s trials were about.
G: Fuck...that's well planned out. I can't believe it's on tape.
Me: Mhm, it's right there. I'm surprised it's been allowed to go on this long though. I think after all the dust settles we might see some Bush Era Patriot Act shenanigans go on.
G: I wouldn't be surprised.
G: Thank you for reaching out and letting me know. I can't believe I fell for that.
Me: It's totally okay, and understandable. If you have questions about anything please feel free to reach out.
G: Again, thank you so much. I will.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What G said about Al Jazeera though and how they'd been following it for years stood out to me. I remember when Occupy Wallstreet happened and AJ was reporting on it. I remember so many American news sites denigrating the movement and AJ was one of the few that was actually covering those protests in an objective manner. We didn't have a lot of the Left news sites that currently exist today. It was a wasteland of center and right wing sources as far as the eye could see. But that makes sense for the time period and why AJ is still so prevalent in Left spaces.
As I told G, the 93 meeting documents Hamas members talking about using the language of Westerners against them and infiltrating their spaces to garner support. With AJ being the mouth piece of Hamas and having been one of the few "Left" leaning news source since Occupy...well, they've been grandfathered in to Leftist spaces as "trusted". That's why so many of these Western activists will accept an AJ article with no question or critical analysis, it's one of the go to sources and has been for a long time.
I'm a little mad at myself that I didn't remember the coverage of Occupy and other events in the USA by AJ and how they were framed until G brought it up. I'm second guessing all the times I read articles back then and my reactions. G admitted they're now doing the same. To think that many of us older Lefties have been manipulated for years because we had some friendly coverage of our opinions is disheartening. But then again, how many of us actually knew what AJ was, who was running it, and what the agenda is/was? I mean, hell, I'm a forensic consultant and consider myself well versed on big cases, but I didn't know about the HLF stuff until Vidino's report came out (the doc mentioned and linked above).
The internet has come such a long way since then. I'm hoping that when this is over that many of these news sites, Leftist and otherwise, will reconsider how they interact with AJ and other such groups. It's quite clear that we've been in a long con, and something has to change.

New emergence of the ages-old blood libel "Jewish people steal non-Jewish kids":
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I want everyone to take a good look.
Remember that the Pro-Palestinian mob is trying to dehumanize Jews in any way possible, even using this middle-ages classic blood liable.
This is *clearly* fake, but the amount of people who take it as a fact and continue to share it as a serious source here on tumblr is absolutely frightening.
Here's where I found the post, if you wish to report it:
@lunian you should know that what you're sharing is fake, and you're playing a useful idiot for Hamas mouthpieces.
This is exactly what the Nazi propaganda looked like. You might as well replace it with their articles, as there's no difference:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The world is going back to the 1930s. I personally cannot let this slide. I will keep fighting for Jewish justice, as long as I have my fingers attached. And you should too, if you learned anything from history.

Zionism is propaganda, and for decades it has been doing its level best to conceal all facts related to Israel’s ethnic cleanings. Yes more than one. They forcibly sterilized Ethiopian Jews. Palestinians have been in the area for thousands of years, mentioned even by Roman historians, while Jews were originally from the Abrahamic line out of Iraq. The British gave them the region because they didn’t want Jews anymore than anyone else. Ever since WWI this has been growing.
Ask yourself why Israel makes it illegal to talk about the dispelling of the Palestinians. Why is the Nakba unspeakable? What don’t they want to recall?
Al Jazeera is not a Hamas mouthpiece, nor does Hamas have tunnels beneath hospitals. It’s all garbage easily dispelled by those who work for Doctors Without Borders.
Don’t believe the death toll? It’s independently confirmed by several organizations like UNICEF.
This is a war crime, according to the 33 article of the Geneva convention. This is precisely what Nazis did to Jews.
This is a genocide.
Do not let anyone persuade you otherwise. Hamas doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Hamas won’t stop existing as long as Israel keeps terrorizing the Hamas of tomorrow by murdering their families. Terrorism stops when needs are met.
Free Palestine.

As with every society on Earth, there is racism in Israel. But the truth is that if you’re looking for the closest analogue to the racist propaganda experienced by blacks in European-offshoot societies, you will find it not on the Israeli side but on the Palestinian side. Consider the ghoulish, antisemitic TV programs that indoctrinate Palestinian children. There is no Israeli equivalent.
There is yet another inconvenient fact for those who want to reduce the Israeli-Arab conflict to a competition between European settlers and people of color: the majority of Israeli Jews are not European. They are Mizrahi Jews—hailing from the Middle East and North Africa. What’s more, it is not the European Jews but the Mizrahi Jews—who are difficult to visually distinguish from Palestinians—that form most of the voting base of the right-wing parties that Israel’s critics consider to be the truly racist ones.
When ideologues co-opt the African American freedom struggle and compare it to the Palestinian national movement, they do black Americans a grave disservice. Black Americans (aside from a fringe) did not seek to dominate and destroy white society, as Martin Luther King Jr. emphasized frequently in his speeches. African Americans pursued equality before the law and better economic circumstances. In black history, you can find the occasional Nat Turner, the slave who led a rebellion and advocated killing all whites. But compared to the leaders of the struggle—giants like Frederick Douglass and Martin Luther King—radicals like Turner amount to a footnote in the black American struggle for equality.
Even early Malcolm X, the most prominent mouthpiece for black radicalism, was not interested in a violent takeover whereby blacks would run all of America and render whites second-class citizens. When he expressed black nationalism as more than a metaphor, he made clear that he was interested in a partitioning of black and white states inside America or a black ethnostate somewhere outside of America entirely.
Palestinian leaders, by contrast, seek dominion over all the land existing between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. Some, like Hamas, have even more radical ambitions: a global Islamic caliphate. Palestinian leaders have rejected every partition offer they have ever received: the Peel Commission in 1937, the UN partition of 1947, the offers made at Camp David as well as the Clinton Parameters in 2000, and Olmert’s proposal in 2008. In the Palestinian national movement, the common denominator has been the rejection of a Jewish state of any size and scope, as well as the unyielding demand for nothing less than a Palestinian Arab state to subsume Israel: “from the river to the sea,” as the chant goes.

Jackson Hinkle, notorious for spreading Hamas propaganda, tried to sneak back onto Instagram—and was swiftly banned again after HonestReporting intervened. While Meta takes action, his disinformation thrives on X.
Tumblr media
No sooner had Jackson Hinkle likely begun plotting how to celebrate his triumphant return to Instagram—probably with one of his signature AI-generated selfies featuring himself and Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei—than Meta swiftly booted him off the platform again, thanks to HonestReporting’s quick intervention.
Never one to miss a money-making opportunity, Hinkle–previously de-platformed by Meta in March 2024—  took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce his latest Instagram ban, urging his followers to fund his “work,” which, you may have guessed, involves “EXPOSING ZIONIST LIES.” One assumes his recent Maldives getaway—complete with shirtless beach selfies and a post thanking the country for a “beautiful anti-Zionist vacation”—didn’t yield much exposé material.
When HonestReporting discovered Hinkle’s attempts to sidestep the Instagram ban, we promptly alerted officials at Meta to ensure he was removed once again.
In the wake of Hamas’ October 7 terror attacks, Hinkle has morphed into a prolific propaganda mouthpiece for the internationally designated terrorist group. With millions of followers, his social media influence has been used to amplify doctored images and propaganda glorifying Hamas and other Islamist terror groups.

Reminder that Al Jazeera is a mouthpiece for Hamas and articles from there should NEVER BE TRUSTED. They literally justified the 10/07 attacks, claimed it wasn’t really that bad, and claimed that Israelis shot other Israelis. They also censor Palestinian civilians trying to criticize Hamas.
Hamas proudly filmed themselves shooting people, r*ping women, and killing babies/children. Videos from Israeli soldiers and civilians showed how Hamas mutilated g*nitals on dead bodies and paraded around a stripped body of a woman they had r*ped and shot.

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/23/world/middleeast/israel-hamas-attack-video.html
And here’s audio of a young man giddily calling his dad to tell him about all the Jews he killed.
You cannot be invested in this war and completely ignore one side.

Al-Hadaf, a Gaza-based outlet established by and serving as a mouthpiece for the terror-designated Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), deleted an article devoted to Bisan Owda, titled “Journalism in the Crosshairs of Politics... how Bisan Owda became a symbol of resistance journalism.”
This happened only days after Owda was the subject of a letter signed by 150 film industry professionals which demanded the Emmy Awards cancel her nomination over her past ties to the PFLP, which is designated by the US, EU, Canada, Israel, and other countries as a terrorist organization.
In late July 2024, the Emmy Awards nominated Bisan Atef Owda, a Palestinian content creator from Gaza, along with the Qatari-owned media outlet AJ+, for their series, It’s Bisan From Gaza and I’m Still Alive. The nomination was included in the category for Outstanding Hard News Feature Story: Short Form.
Following the nomination, it was discovered that Owda has portrayed herself as a member of the PFLP and has even spoken in PFLP events in the Gaza Strip in the past in full PFLP militant garb. Owda also oversaw celebrations. The article’s rapid takedown from the PFLP’s mouthpiece raised further concerns regarding Owda’s affiliation with the organization.
AJ+ (a subsidiary of Qatari mouthpiece Al Jazeera) has been ordered by the US Department of Justice to register as a foreign agent of the Qatari government under the United States Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA) because the outlet is “controlled and funded by the Government of Qatar.” Yet the outlet has refused to do so, thereby openly violating United States law. At the same time, Al Jazeera has been a hotbed for antisemitism, holocaust denial, and circulating Hamas propaganda and talking points.
For these reasons, 150 industry professionals signed a letter addressed to the National Academy of Television Arts and Services (NATAS) calling on them to rescind Owda’s nomination, which they believe contradicts the Academy’s own codes of conduct. Despite this, NATAS has doubled down on maintaining Owda’s nomination, claiming that despite the fact that she took part in the terrorist organization in the past, there is no further evidence that she is still part of the group.

Hamas rejected another ceasefire deal.
Multiple big accounts on here and across other social media, as well as major news stations, were celebrating and pushing the narrative that Hamas had accepted due to them “welcoming the UNSC’s vote on a ceasefire”.
But just because they “welcomed” the vote does not mean they accepted a deal in any capacity. Saying otherwise is not only misleading, but an example of propaganda.
Let me give you an example;
Imagine you go into an interview for a new job. The description says that is pays 100k a year, has 6 weeks of vacation, and parental leave. You nail the interview and they verbally confirm the pay and benefits that are in the description. You go through onboarding and they say they'll give you the paperwork to sign at the end. You receive the paperwork and instead of the aforementioned pay and perks it says that you will only get 50k a year, have 2 weeks vacation, and no parental leave. You'd be rightfully upset, call them out on the bait and switch, and refuse to sign the paperwork.
Right? They wasted your time and mislead you.
They were never going to give you what you wanted or what they said they would. They were relying upon you investing your time and not wanting to have wasted it, so you'd therefore accept anything they gave you.
That’s what is happening here. Mediators work with Israel and Hamas to negotiate a deal that both will potentially accept. Israel accepts the deal and Hamas says it does as well. Except while Hamas says it accepts the deal they send a counter offer with different terms. So when Israel then rejects the new proposal because it contains things they did not agree to, Hamas and its allies/supporters/mouthpieces attack Israel for “rejecting” a deal it said it had “accepted”.
Does any of this sound like a reasonable way to negotiate the end of hostilities?

Witkoff's blunt reaction took them by surprise. He explained to them in salty English that Shabbat was of no interest to him. His message was loud and clear. Thus in an unusual departure from official practice, the prime minister showed up at his office for an official meeting with Witkoff, who then returned to Qatar to seal the deal. A week before Trump's inauguration, Jerusalem already sees a change in the rules of the game that has broken the deadlock in the hostage negotiations. Unusually, the outgoing Biden administration has let Witkoff lead the process, on the grounds that any obligations the United States undertakes will be incumbent on Trump, not on Biden. In fact, Witkoff has forced Israel to accept a plan that Netanyahu had repeatedly rejected over the past half year. Hamas has not budged from its position that the hostages' freedom must be conditioned on the release of Palestinian prisoners (the easy part) and a complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza (the hard one). Netanyahu rejected this condition and thus was born the partial deal proposed by Egypt. Initially, the talk was of a limited humanitarian deal. More and more conditions were slowly appended until it grew into a much bigger proposal with clear outlines – a hostage release, new regional arrangements and full withdrawal. The Philadelphi Corridor, which Netanyahu last summer termed the bedrock of Israel's existence, is part of the deal. At Egypt's request, Israel will fully withdraw from it in the first phase. His propaganda machine is pushing the no-choice narrative that it's Trump. On Monday, laments began to be heard on Channel 14 that Trump isn't what we thought. "I'm surprised all the senior officials in the U.S. administration are saying the same thing," Yotam Zimri said on the Patriots program. "If this doesn't happen by the time Trump comes in, Hamas will understand what hell is. I don't understand the Israeli interest in at least not waiting for Trump." Yinon Magal answered," It's because Trump is pressing to do it! That's what's happening." Zimri: "So all his people have been lying – it's a big disappointment." Magal: "He talks about hell and in the meantime sends his envoy to sign a deal. It's a deal whose impact will be very difficult. That's the truth." He added that the last remaining hope is that Hamas will reject a deal: "A cabinet minister told me we need to pray again that God will harden Pharaoh's heart." Monday morning, another Netanyahu mouthpiece, Jacob Bardugo said, "The pressure Trump is exerting right now is not the kind that Israel expected from him. The pressure is the essence of the matter."

Al Jazeera office raided as Israel takes channel off air
Israel's government has moved to shut down the operations of the Al Jazeera television network in the country, branding it a mouthpiece for Hamas. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the cabinet agreed to the closure while the war in Gaza is ongoing. Police raided the Qatari broadcaster's office at the Ambassador hotel in Jerusalem on Sunday. Al Jazeera called claims it was a threat to Israeli security a "dangerous and ridiculous lie". The channel said it reserved the right to "pursue every legal step". Israel's Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi said equipment had been taken in the raid. A video posted by the minister on X shows police officers and inspectors from the ministry entering a hotel room. A BBC team visited the scene, but was prevented from filming or going into the hotel by police.
[...]
The shut down of Al Jazeera in Israel has been criticised by a number of human rights and press groups. The Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) said they had filed a request to the country's Supreme Court to issue an interim order to overturn the ban. The group said that claims that the broadcaster was a propaganda tool for Hamas were "unfounded", and that Sunday's ban was less about security concerns and more to "serve a more politically motivated agenda, aimed at silencing critical voices and targeting Arab media". The Foreign Press Association (FPA) urged the Israeli government to reconsider its decision, saying the shut down of Al Jazeera in the country should be "a cause for concern for all supporters of a free press". The FPA said in a statement that Israel now joins "a dubious club of authoritarian governments to ban the station", and warned that Mr Netanyahu has the authority to target other foreign outlets that he considers to be "acting against the state". The Committee to Protect Journalists' (CPJ) Program Director Carlos Martinez de la Serna echoed the same concerns, saying: "The Israeli cabinet must allow Al Jazeera and all international media outlets to operate freely in Israel, especially during wartime." The UN's Human Rights office also called the Israeli government to reverse the ban, posting on X: "A free & independent media is essential to ensuring transparency & accountability. Now, even more so given tight restrictions on reporting from Gaza." Foreign journalists are banned from entering Gaza, and Al Jazeera staff there have been some of the only reporters on the ground.

Regarding your Wikipedia post, I could be dead wrong about this (as I've only this from word of mouth), but hasn't Al Jazeera put out articles that perpetuated or spouted anti-blackness?
I can't remember for the life of me where I heard that, but I remember hearing that Al Jazeera has repeatedly done this
You know honestly I had never heard this before and a solid hour of searching has yielded no results. But I wouldn't be surprised it that's true. If anyone has any sources on this I'd love to see them, Al Jazeera needs to be called out for cosplaying as a news agency.
But, since we're on the topic, allow me to present merely a few of the many instances where Al Jazeera was called out for its fakakta attempts at journalism.
Among its many outrageous controversies are: claiming the US faked a video by the Islamic State of the beheading of two journalists (one of whom was Jewish); tweeting an antisemitic caricature and absurd claim that Jews are creating climate change for world domination; lying about IDF soldiers r*ping Gazans; celebrating a birthday of a terrorist and calling him a hero for killing Israelis; insinuating that Jews were involved in 9/11; perpetrating Holocaust denial, for instance saying Jews engineered the Holocaust as a Zionist plot; censoring Gazans who rightly criticize the terrorist group Hamas; and many more.
There are so many instances of "Al Jazeera makes outrageous bigoted blatantly false claim, retracts a day later, gives limp apology". Like, we are way past "three strikes and you're out" at this point.
It's shocking that anybody takes them seriously anymore. Fakakta.

🧐 … just saw this!! — It’s the second time I see this topic!! — IsraHell has lost?
By: LaillaB, founder of ‘Reclaim the Narrative’, from LinkedIn …
✍🏻 “We’ve lost. Truth must be told.
The inability to admit it encapsulates everything you need to know about Israel’s individual and mass psychology.
It’s no fun to admit that we’ve lost, so we lie to ourselves. Some of us maliciously lie. Others innocently.
When the solace ends, the hole remains. There’s no way around it.
After half a year, we could have been in a totally different place, but we’re being held hostage by the worst leadership in the country’s history – and a decent contender for the title of worst leadership anywhere, ever.
Every military undertaking is supposed to have a diplomatic exit – the military action should lead to a better diplomatic reality.
Israel has no diplomatic exit.
It has a scoundrel for a leader, someone with no capacity for leadership or decision.
Yet the electorate put its faith in the current prime minister to the tune of 32 Knesset seats.
Every day and every minute, better decisions could have been made.
But that’s whom we elected – a suit with a person attached. We can’t say it, but we’ve lost.
People have an inclination to believe in the best and be optimistic, hoping that tomorrow will be okay, that we are in a process that in the end will be more successful.
That’s the most fundamental failure of human thought: the notion that the direction we are taking is a good one, that in just a little more time. After all, we’re the “good guys”, and good will triumph.
My conclusion from Oct 7 as a journalist is that what’s “uncomfortable” is the most dangerous thing for our security.
We need to tell the truth, even when if it lowers morale.
We need to stand up to the Bibi-ist propaganda machines even if attack dogs are sniffing. No cabinet minister will restore our sense of personal security.
Our international standing was dealt a beating. Our leadership’s weakness was revealed to the outside.
For years we managed to fool them into thinking we were a strong country, a wise people and a powerful army.
In truth, we’re a shtetl with an air force.
There’s a political camp the very survival of which pretty much depends on a “victory.”
That camp has long since lost all touch with truth and reality.
We’ve gotten to know its leader, that human Pinocchio.
Rafah is the newest bluff that the mouthpieces are plying to fool us and make us think that victory is just moments away.
There may be an incursion, perhaps a tiny one, sometime – say in May. After that, they’ll peddle the next lie, that all we have to do is ________ (fill in the blank), and victory will be on its way.
The reality is that the war’s aims will not be achieved.
Hamas will not be eradicated. The hostages will not be returned through military pressure.
Security will not be reestablished.
The more the mouthpieces shout that “we’re winning,” the clearer it is that we’re losing.
Lying is their craft.
We need to get used to that.” … 🧐

Nov. 16 (UPI) -- German authorities raided dozens of Islamic sites and facilities across the country on Thursday as part of a sting targeting proxies and other radicalized supporters of the militant group Hezbollah.
The investigation centered on the Islamic Center in Hamburg as the focal point of an operation to smoke out domestic insurgents who were aiming to subvert the country's "constitutional order," the interior ministry said, while accusing the center of serving as a mouthpiece for the Iranian government.
Before dawn Thursday, federal agents launched simultaneous raids on 54 properties across seven states, targeting not only the Hamburg group but also five other associated entities that haven't been named yet by authorities.
Aside from Hamburg, the federal sweep also targeted suspected outposts in Lower Saxony, Hesse, Baden-Wurttemberg, Bavaria, Berlin and North Rhine-Westphalia.
The government did not identify any specific threats leading up to the raids, but indicated that the Hamburg center was suspected of rallying support for the Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah, which is banned in Germany.
The German government banned Hezbollah in 2020 when it declared the Iran-backed group a terrorist organization.
The interior ministry called the Hamburg center a propaganda machine for Tehran which was spreading revolutionary concepts, particularly those opposing Israel, to deepen divisions and incite extremism amid the Israel-Hamas war, which has continued for nearly six weeks without any signs of a ceasefire.
The ministry noted that the organization wielded "great influence on certain mosques and clubs, including complete control" over its associates, while promoting "a clear antisemitic and anti-Israel attitude."
"The suspicions against the 'Islamic Center Hamburg' are serious," German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said after the massive operation. "It has long been monitored by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and classified as Islamist."
Fraeser also highlighted recent tumult throughout Germany amid the Middle East conflict.
"We have the Islamist scene in our sights," she said. "Especially now, at a time when many Jews feel particularly threatened, we generally do not tolerate Islamist propaganda or antisemitic and anti-Israel incitement."
Meanwhile, Germany's interior ministry did not disclose whether any suspects were arrested during Thursday's siege, nor whether any weapons, contraband, or properties were seized.
