My mononoke hair sticks are here!!! They're shaped like the tenbin used by the medicine seller and they're GORGEOUS

These are gigantic (20cm long; regular hair sticks are typically 17-18cm), and the bells ring when you turn your head while wearing them...!

(don't mind the messy bun) it is really really big (literally the biggest one I own)

The edges and centre are also translucent!!!

I'm so glad I bought them they're soooo pretty (thank you to my tomodachi who helped me get them I am in your debt)

So I got these holographic hair sticks from Claire's that I wanted to add some embellishments to.

So I made faux-jade sturgeon and paddlefish made from Cernit brand translucent polymer clay, you know, as one does.

I did some wire wrapping, painted the wire with something pearlescent, and affixed the small sculptures to the wire with fishing line and a glass bead for each.

Currently, my hair is too short but when it regrows, will try this

I have a hair stick that’s a tad too slippery so I use a dead pen that’s too pretty to toss as add on

now I have the dead pen and a wooden dowel]

I'm making hair sticks out of pretty wood and trying to come up with designs to carve into the handle. Gaydies and gentlegays, what say you? What decorative shape would you want sticking out of your hair bun? My goth heart is inclined toward bird skulls, leaves, and crystal inlays but what about you lovelies?
