It was good that Whiz wasn't in a wallowing mood. Richard hoped that meant he wasn't feeling too down. He knew how much Whiz really liked May and wanted her to like him. Richard wanted her to like him too. Whiz dating May would work wonderfully. No awkwardness of having to get to know someone new. Trying to not come off as cold and distant when really he was just not able to relax around new people. Still Whiz isn't in a wallowing mood and is instead grinning. Richard loves to see it. He laughs at what Whiz has in mind. Changing his hair color has never been something that made it to Richard's what I would do if I could do whatever list. But he enjoys Whiz's daring hair adventures. Whiz is always being daring with his appearance in some way. Richard thinks it's fabulous. He always has. "Yes, of course, mate. Going neon yellow this time eh? You'll certainly stand out while we're still in this grey winter," Richard tells him as if Whiz doesn't always stand out when he wants to.

Whiz appreciates what Richard is trying to do, suggesting May might be interested in dating him if it was a better time. "Maybe," he concedes. He does think May likes him, even has some interest--she liked him enough to kiss him at New Year's, after all. He just isn't sure she likes him enough that she'd really want to date him if she wasn't busy. Which is fine. And Whiz is used to the fact he's not everyone's cup of tea. It doesn't bother him much, except for in situations like this one where he wants to be a particular person's cup of tea. It's disappointing. Still, he chuckles at Richard's comment that he's missing out on friends with benefits. "I'll take your word for that mate." Whiz is pretty certain he is not missing out, especially with how worked up Richard was a couple minutes ago, but he keeps that thought to himself. At least one of them is having some fun right now. He considers when Richard asks what he can do to help. "Hm. I do rather think it would help to indulge in some dramatic moaning about how emotionally unavailable she is. But not right now. I'm not in a wallowing mood right now. You know what I want to do?" He asks, inspired now, a grin pulling at his lips. "Want to help me dye my hair neon yellow?" There was nothing like a fresh new hair color to boost one's mood.

Yeah, the STAFF-bots are scared of Moon. Imagine your boss being someone who like fired 20 of your co-workers by killing them. And now you're forced to work for a guy who can kill you if they don't like what you're doing. (Baby Moon hasn't really understood his authority yet. lol but he is very much their boss XD )

The Tablet of Party Bot is just fine. It's just cracked, but he's still able to register guests and do his job.

Bonnie and Monty have a bit of a rivalry going. Bonnie doesn't care for Monty's attitude (or Roxy's but Monty is always more of the issue cause he has the most arguments)

The original Glamrocks were Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy.

Foxy got decommissioned and replaced by Roxy. Roxy was almost instantly more popular than Foxy (with pirates not being as popular with older kids and teens) and Monty was recently added to appeal to Teenage Boys since Roxanne Wolf went over so well.

Monty's been part of the band for like about a year or so? So he's been around for awhile and the Daycare Attendant is the new meat now.

Needless to say, Bonnie doesn't like the direction that the new band is going with their demographic appeal, and feels a bit threatened by Monty replacing him as Roxy did to Foxy. (but that wasn't her fault)

Bonnie doesn't like that they keep programming "mean" personalities. What happened to the good ol' days of just Rockin' out to some kid's birthday and making them feel special? He just doesn't get Roxy's and Monty's appeal at all. Often times messes with Monty.

Sun is going to get A LOT of Love in the next chapter don't worry. (for reasons you'll see soon)

I love how whenever we get serious scenes, they throw in things like Kim taking a risk to swim the Seine (ew okay don't do that that's gross) and Max being like, hey I can't swim but I wanna join you. SO I BROUGHT MY DUCKIE! XDDD So random but you can't not laugh. All this time, all these months waiting for this episode, I knew Felix would be in it. And yet I forgot going into the episode and was taken by surprise when I saw him lol Hahaha Felix has some sass lol "Why are you here this time? To mock me or ruin my reputation with my friends? "Neither, I'm here to save you." "I'm doing just fine, thank you." Oooh Adrien's not taking anything or forgetting what happened and is showing how irritated he is. Gotta love that foreshadowing! Hawk Moth wins this time? Okay, thanks for the heads up :O I'm scared o.o ALSO WTH FELIX, ARE YOU A SPY?! WHO ARE YOU?! I'm so confused! 14 year old children don't just get spy tech like that! Was your dad one, is that how you got it? We all know, Felix has seemed really cold and cruel the couple of episodes we've seen him. But as soon as he saw his aunt down there, the horror and disgust and torment, how he wanted out of there as soon as he could and stayed as far away as he could....that shows he's not too far gone. I like him a lot more now, but I'm afraid that this could drive him further down a bad road. *****it's later. Here's the moment where we see a different side of him. Adrien (Felix) told him no, determined and angry. Suddenly after looking him right in the eyes, the firm Gabriel seemed...subdued? Almost like he was drugged or something and didn't want to continue. I'm sorry what? Sentimonster, sentimonster, no. This has nothing to do with that. If it was that, he wouldn't have reacted like that looking into Adrien (Felix's) eyes. And we know that he's unaware that that's Felix, he showed no signs of it whatsoever. It has to do with the anger and speaking back. I've thought before that he does that motion with his ring whenever he thinks of Emilie, and I'm wondering if that moment with Felix, that look in his eyes and his anger, reminded him so much of Emilie that he was speechless and all his anger and fight went out of him. "To save a prince from a dragon, you need a KNIIIIGHT!" "And that knight is you?" "Course not, Tikki! That knight is Ladybug! No one listens to Marinette, but everyone listens to Ladybug!" Well ouch, that's not true Marinette! Obviously people listen to Ladybug more, but there are things Marinette can do that Ladybug can't. And I'm pretty sure this is going to be one of those times. ALSO SHE DID HER LITTLE LADYBUG MOVE WHEN SHE TRANSFORMS AHHHHHH! "You've been taking too many risks today, something's wrong!" Yeah it is, but it helped Adrienette progress much better because of it :D Kagami calling Adrien just to scream at him to get himself together and stick up for himself and stop being a puppet, like dang. See, they make great friends but terrible for a relationship. He needed that. First there was Marinette that started to tell him he needs to tell his father, and everyone else, how he feels about being a model and being forced to do all these things he doesn't want to do, because she can see he was miserable. Then there's Felix, though of course for his selfish reasons, could see he's miserable and doesn't want to go, and tells him that freedom is something you make, you have to work for it. He's not going to have it if he sits there and does nothing. Then now Kagami that is like the final blow that screams at him and tells him he's a puppet to everyone in his life, he lets everyone control him by pulling his strings, and that these strings need to be cut. And as we all know, the thing that's kept him from being able to actually find out about Marinette being Ladybug and being happy has been his father. The only person that isn't bought and easily tricked by things is Marinette. The only person that lets him be himself where he actually feels truly happy and special, is with Marinette. This is the point where all of that will change, the obstacle will be out of the way so they can finally have everything in the open and he can be free and they can be happy together. Oh please let this be the beginning of the end of Adrien's sad life. Please. Also I'm believing after seeing this episode, that this will be the start of her really seeing the Adrien side of Chat Noir and loving and appreciating him truly, so unlike Ephemeral where she was freaking out and didn't know what to do about Chat Noir being Adrien, and not seeing him the same, I bet after more development happens and then she finds out, her response will be like "Of course it's you, you couldn't be anyone else" AND I WILL CRY SO MUCH IN THAT MOMENT But getting back to the

episode. "Felix shouldn't be doing this for me. I need to take my own rightful place and tell my father what I have to tell him myself!" GOOD ON YOU. But oops Felix really wants to pretend to be Adrien and go around the world. Why?? "He tricked me again! It's time to end this game, I've got to talk with my father!" Sorry, your father can't come to the phone right now. Why? Because he's Shadow Moth. 🙃 HAAAAA the fact it's Felix and not Adrien being like, uhhh Ladybug what's going on? Legit he's doing a good job here, I would've expected to see a passing annoyed look or something. The only thing is he doesn't sound quite like Adrien, and she's too upset and worried for him to notice. Plus for all she knows, it could just be his sadness. "I don't have the courage. Unlike you, I'm not a superhero." Ironic when Adrien actually is one, but who she thinks is Adrien here actually isn't one so he's telling the truth. xD Okay hold up. Now I'm getting in spoiler territory for those of you who didn't see a previous trailer that showed clips from the second part of this, one that was from a few months ago. Where we saw Ladybug detransform and collapse in what looked to be Adrien's bathroom. If that was Strike Back, and it really was his bathroom, that means she still needs to go there. Why would she? I don't know, but I'm holding out hope that she'll actually speak with Adrien and they'll figure this all out. WITHOUT Felix finding out who she is. These scenes are honestly scaring me that he'll find out. She's going to use the horse miraculous to bring Felix back. PLEASE have her somehow see Adrien in the street and talk to him. PLEASE. Or at home. I don't care, just do not let Felix find out. Oooh Adrien found the spy monocle thing and then there's the sentimonster outside...then fades to credits. Well. :O My goodness this was insane, and even more so when this was not a planned episode but was just dropped on us out of the blue lol A lot of this doesn't feel as much like Miraculous Ladybug but like something else, and I honestly really love it. xD Now to wait the long wait (or maybe if we're lucky we'll get part two next week. I'm wishful thinking here) so we can see how this goes. But from the sounds of what we've been told, it's going to probably end in chaos so I'm just all around scared at this point lol

Ian listened to what Ethan had to say about the broom, or maybe more about gifts in general, and considered it. Maybe Ethan was right; he’d know better than Ian would about what gifts were supposed to be. Al probably did too, really. He’d told Ian each Fletcher should have their own Comet when he gave it to him and then hadn’t bothered Ian since about whether or how often he used it. Though Ian had been sure to let Al know how much he liked it when he did use it. He chuckled at Ethan’s comment about flying to work. “Now there’s an idea! Maybe I should start bringing it to work, might could clean the floors faster if I’m on a broom.” More like he’d crash into everything, but the thought amused him. He chuckled again when Ethan said too quiet wasn’t a problem at his flat. “Nope, it’s not that bad though,” he answered without thinking about it, since it had been kind of loud but not the same kind of loud as Knockturn, and then a second later wondered if it was weird that he knew how loud Ethan’s flat was at night. Only it wasn’t, he’d stayed over for very good reasons. Not something Ian wanted to linger on right then, so he was glad for the distraction of showing Ethan around the house. 

He was surprised when Ethan asked about tutoring, if only because he figured it probably wasn’t that interesting. “A little of both. Seb and Sadie are different years at Hogwarts so they’re mostly separate, but some of the stuff they’re learning is stuff I haven’t got to yet so I’ll join their lessons sometimes. Mac and I used to tutor together, back when we first started. That was right after Cal got his first quidditch job, when we moved in here. It was mostly history and theory and how to write and do maths and that sort of stuff. Then a bit of magic theory once we got older. But then when Mac turned 17 and got his wand he started getting practical magic lessons. Been way ahead of me ever since.” Ian shrugged, trying not to sound as bothered as he was by the fact that he hadn’t just failed to catch up to Mac, he’d fallen farther behind because of how absolutely rubbish he was with a wand. Instead he led the way to the kitchen, where his mind went to another place he didn’t want it to. He was grateful for Ethan offering a distraction. “Yeah, it is nice,” he agreed with a small smile. “I know all about being squashed up. Still can’t believe I have my own bedroom sometimes,” he admitted, chuckling softly. “Speaking of…” Ian’s smile turned a bit bashful as he nodded back the way they came. “The rest of us are this way, come on.” He led Ethan back to the living room then down the hallway connected to it. As they walked down the hall past the various doors, Ian told Ethan whose was whose. Cal and Mac closest to the living room, a barrier between Patricia and the younger kids, and Ian all the way at the end where it was quietest. “And here’s me,” he said when they reached his room, feeling nervous again. This shouldn’t be a big deal. It was just a room. But it was his, the only space that had ever been just his, and he’d never had anyone in here that wasn’t one of his siblings (or Patricia, but she was very much uninvited). He bit his lip and glanced at Ethan, willing his heart to slow down to a normal pace. Then he pulled out another key attached to the same keyring as the house key and used it to unlock the door. “Patricia likes to nick our things,” he explained with a grimace. Locking the door didn’t always keep her out when she was determined, but it was a helpful deterrent all the same. “So um…yeah, this is it,” he added as he pushed open his door and stepped aside so Ethan could go in. 

The walls were a soft shade of gray, except for the left wall where the headboard of his bed was, which was painted forest green, a project he and Sadie undertook two summers ago. The bed itself had white sheets and a soft, dark gray blanket along with a few yellow pillows. On the wall to one side of his bed was a tall bookshelf crammed full of with a variety of books: old textbooks handed down from Cal and then Seb and Sadie; a large collection of old tattered paperbacks Ian had picked up at secondhand shops and liked enough to keep;  and a smaller collection of crisp new hardcover books that Al had gifted him for various birthdays and Christmas or ‘because he was done reading it and had no more room in his library and so really Ian was doing him a favor by taking them,’ which Ian knew was not true because Al’s library was massive but he’d taken them anyways because it was clear Al had no intention of actually keeping them for himself. The book he’d been reading in bed last night was on his nightstand, a beat-up secondhand copy of a fantasy novel from a series about a band of time-traveling centaurs. Next to the book were the noise-cancelling ear plugs Al gave him. Opposite his bed was a small desk with a stack of schoolbooks, a half-written essay about shield charms for his latest tutoring session, and a bunch of sticky notes reminding him which jobs he had which days at which times. His leather jacked hung over the back of the chair. There was also a small, framed photo of him at seventeen, Cal and Mac grinning proudly on either side of him as he held up his brand new wand, beaming with excitement that didn’t even fade despite his embarrassment when Al insisted on taking a photo in the first place. On his wrist was the watch Cal had gifted him earlier that day, the same one he wore everyday since. Now Ian wondered if that picture was sort of embarrassing. Maybe Ethan wouldn’t notice it. There were plenty of others on shelves, photos of him with the kids, one of him at 13 with a 16-year old Cal in his Arrows uniform. There were also a couple of crayon drawings Ruby had given him ages ago and a potted plant Seb gave him one birthday that he’d only kept alive because of Seb’s help. “It’s not much,” he said, trying not to pay too much attention to Ethan or think too hard on the fact that Ethan was in his bedroom. “But it’s mine.”  The first and only space he’d ever had like that.

Inviting Ethan along to Al’s shouldn’t have felt like such a big deal. Al was always telling them to bring their friends along, especially this year now that the kids couldn’t see their friends at school anymore. Granted there had been a lot of reasons they never took Al up on that offer: the fact that Patty often liked to invite herself along, the fact that they didn’t want to impose on Al’s generosity, not to mention it was only the younger kids who even had that many friends they’d invite in the first place. But Cal had invited Wil along a few times so it only felt fair that Ian could invite Ethan this time. He’d tried to be casual about it, but it had been a relief when Sadie and Seb decided to bring friends along as well. It wasn’t just Ian shaking things up now. Ian was a little surprised Seb brought along Dirk instead of one of his other Gryffindor mates from school, but the pair did seem like they’d become fast friends and it had to be good for Dirk to be around people who didn’t remember him as the kid who went missing from Hogwarts. Hopefully it wouldn’t be too weird for Ethan. As if Ian’s whole family situation wasn’t weird enough. That stuff wasn’t Dirk’s fault though, so Ian was glad he was coming along to hang with some kids his own age. Henry coming too would be even better, the kids could all hang out together and no one would pay attention to him and Ethan.

Except Ian was quite certain Mac would be paying attention, and probably Cal because Mac had probably told Cal about their conversation. Probably waited to do it while Ian was at work so he wouldn’t overhear them. But it would be fine. Ethan had sounded like he was curious about meeting Al and his siblings and Ian didn’t see a reason not to bring him ‘round, at least once he knew Patricia wouldn’t be there. Ian just wished he didn’t feel so nervous about seeing Ethan. Which was stupid. There was nothing to be nervous about. Ethan was great and they were mates and it just so happened that Ethan fancied Ian and Ian fancied Ethan back and had no idea how to proceed with that information except that after talking about it with Mac he was pretty sure he wanted to be more than just friends with Ethan. He just wasn’t sure what that looked like or how to get there. Other than talking to Ethan about it, probably. But that felt like a big conversation to have right before introducing Ethan to his whole family. Maybe they could talk after. 

With that settled, Ian felt a little bit less nervous as he biked to the shop, grinning when he saw Ethan waiting there with his own bike. “Hey,” Ian greeted him with a wave as he stopped his bike. For a second he considered getting off and giving Ethan a hug or something, which was weird because he usually didn’t think about what he was doing when he touched Ethan. Or did anything with Ethan. Everything felt a little off-kilter now. Except there was still that warm happy feeling he felt when he saw Ethan. “You all set?” He said with a smile, waiting for Ethan’s confirmation before he nodded and led the way back to his house. This wasn’t the first time he’d had a friend to the house, since Leo had ended up coming over to get Dirk set up to tutor here. But bringing Ethan over—because Ethan was interested in seeing the house—felt a lot different than Leo coming by with his brother. Still, Patricia had been gone already before Ian left, and they’d just be stopping in on the way to Al’s. This was fine. “Here we are,” he said when they got to the house. “Come on, we can leave our bikes in the broom shed.” He hopped off his bike and walked it around to the backyard, pulling open the broom shed for them and showing Ethan where he could park his bike. “This is the best part of the house, really,” he added as they stepped back out into the backyard.

Will there be a 'Our Life' game for each season? Please say we're getting a winter one! 

As of right now we’re only planning on making two, summer and fall. They take quite a while to finish and we’re not sure where we’ll be when the second OL is truly wrapped up. But it’s not impossible we can do a third. Though, four Our Life games is probably not super likely, honestly, aha. Maybe the third game, if we make one, could be switch between winter and spring or something.

What engine/engines do you use to make your games? 

We use Renpy for all our projects!

For version 1.2 of OL, did you make any changes to the DLC? If so, could you post a changelog detailing what exactly (or at least a general overview)? If it's not too much trouble, could you also elaborate on the bugs/errors you fixed in the base game? 

There aren’t really any changes to the DLCs, except for the voiced name DLC getting an expansion. We fixed very few small typos and added a couple extra lines. Unfortunately, we don’t have a list of exactly what all the little fixes were.

I've been playing OL and I love the characters! As soon as Baxter showed up, I knew I wanted to learn more about him! Would you consider adding him as a prospective LI in the future? 

Yep, Baxter (and Derek) will be getting his own romance story as an optional DLC late in 2021! Glad you like him.

Hellooo! First off I'm a huge fan of the game and can't stop playing it. However, I was wondering about how much domestic life with Cove we'll get to see in step 4. Meaning the time before the wedding and the time after. In my game Cove and I talked about having children and I was hoping that would be an option in step 4. Either way, I cannot wait for the release and I send my best to everyone working on the production :) thanks! 

I’m sorry, there’s no children or scenes after the two are married. There’s sort of endless possibilities for what that future could be like, so we unfortunately can’t depict it. You only get scenes before they’re married and, if you get the wedding DLC, you can see the day they get married. It ends there, though. But thank you for the well-wishes!

Hello! I was just wondering, so step 4 is going to be similiar to the prologue/epilogue scenes of the game. Is the Wedding DLC going to be one long scene too or will that have moments? (I love the game by the way, its ruined all other visual novels for me in the most wonderful way <3 ) 

Yeah, Step 4 and the wedding DLC will be like the prologues/summer ended parts of the game. There won’t be separate Moments you can play in any order. I’m really happy you like the game so much!

You said that the OL MC's birthday can't be in summer, but what if you headcanoned it to be? 

You can headcanon it as being in summer! There just aren’t birthday events in the game even if you do know your MC was born in summer. We had to leave those out, since some people might not want their MC to be born in summer and then they’d miss out on extra birthday scenes because of it. It wouldn’t have been fair.

Hello!😺 I absolutely love your game!😻 I can't wait for DLS with Derek and Baxter. And I wonder if Baxter could have seen Cove and MC at the party during their first failed dance? Or is Baxter only paying attention to who he's dancing with, or is he not dancing with anyone at the soiree at all then? 

Baxter isn’t really paying attention to the couples on the floor. He’s just cruising the outskirts for someone available to dance with him. So he doesn’t get any memories of the MC or Cove at that party if the two just dance with each other. It’s great to hear you like the game!

time-wise/step-wise when does the nsfw dlc take place? 

It’s not super strict in terms of an exact of weeks/months, but generally it’s sometime not long after the end of Step 3.

Heya! I'm currently obsessed with Our Life (I played through the entire game on Valentine's Day, hahaha– ha... hah), and I have one silly question: if I start playing Step 3 with the less... Hello!! I wanted to ask a couple of questions about Our Life:

1. Will we able to buy all the DLC via Steam or will there be some of them only available in Patreon? Just to know if I should create a Patreon user XD

2. Will Our Life: Now and Forever be about the current MC, Cove and the other characters or will it be a game with a New MC, new romantic options and new characters?

1. There will be a Patreon-only NSFW bonus Moment. But all the normal planned DLCs will release on Steam.

just some small bug I noticed: even if you didn't ask Cove to dance, if he asks you at the Soiree in Step 2 later and you say yes to dancing, the MC acts like they got to dance with Cove again even if it was the first time. 

Thank you for the report on that! We thought it was fixed, but I guess it didn’t work.

I was messing around with the new update and I noticed that all the hands in the firefly CGs have the same skin tone regardless of what you put in, (with the exception of the really dark skin color) is this a glitch or something? 

The skin tones aren’t the same. It’s just because they’re out at night with only fireflies for light that it makes each image look dark and therefore similar. But if you line them up together it’s clear how there are changes in every option.

How long did it take to plan out and write the story for OL? Not including the programming, art stuff, or the DLC chapters, I mean just planning and writing the base game story alone. The base game story seems hefty as is, and then on top of that there's the changes to scenes depending on MC's and Cove's personalities and relationship, I'm curious how long that took 

It took basically the full development time, aha. I’m someone who doesn’t fully outline a project before start and instead continues to come up with stuff as a project progresses. There were new parts to the story being created right up to near the launch. So, starting in 2016 or so to later 2020, with some breaks/hold-ups throughout that time.

Key to my heart ?

Well, I fall in love easily the moment someone's cute is being really nice to me in real life usually hahaha ^^" As I recently broke up, I kind of don't know anymore ? As long as this is someone's with an open mind who's not racist/homophobic/male toxic/psycho or sociopath I guess we're good ? I'm mostly into feelings and what I also feel when I see the person in real life. I have kind of a super intuition power that helps me sometimes. Just like Spiderman, I have like little warnings inside my body that triggers the moment I meet someone that will hurt me ^^" It's kind of a bummer when you feel that for someone for years and you try your best to make that feeling disapear but at the end, this person ends hurting you ><

Do I believe in ghosts ?

If I say above that I have kind of super power then yes, I must believe in ghosts XD More seriously, I have experienced 2 things that scared the hell out of me and still scare me a little when I think about it because I have 0 explanations for this story. Ready for spooky time ?

I was 18, it was sunday and as usual, I would play the sims 2 all day long after my homeworks. We were living in a flat with 3 rooms. My mother was in the living room, my father was sleeping in their room and I was in my room with the door closed. I was playing fully awake, it's was around 4 p.m or something and I felt someone grabbing my left shoulder from behind, like pushing me behind. It was a strong move that hurt me a little. No one was in the room and the door was still closed ><

When we moved to another house later I also heard some noises when I was sleeping the first night there. Noises that sounded like someone was entering the house and put something liquid on the ground like diesel or something. I was alone in the house with my dog and I was sure it was in my head but my dog woke up and started to barf and attack like he never did before ... I never felt good also in that house. Glad no one lives there anymore actually.

I also have multiple friends that have seen ghosts and know a witch who frequently sees dead people in her home asking her for help so yep ... Ghosts are real people :p Or at least there's something we don't see around here I swear

I’m a giant nerd, there’s no place in my room that’s not full of merchandise.

I prefer to read stories that are self-published, for example here on Tumblr or on other sites, rather than real books.

I have a problem with jackets, I have tons of them.

I usually dye my hair according to the colors of characters I like.It all started with green/purple - because of the Joker. And the last color I have at the moment is all green because of Joker / Loki from Marvel (Oups)

Almost all tattoos I have are about fictional characters (also Oups)

No one, really nobody knows what books/stories I read because that’s something very private to me.

I listen to music 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Also, it’s hard for me / I don’t like to talk about the music I listen to because this is very intimate for me for some reason.

When I watch a series, it’s at least 2 times behind each other, sometimes more often. But never just once.

Films that I watch for the first time and that excite me, I watch every second that I have time. When the movie is over, I start again unless there are several parts. But then I always watch my favorite one 500 times.

And the movie was absolutely amazing. I really wanted to watch the movie again..Aaaaand I was lucky because my best friend’s boyfriend also wanted to see the movie in the cinema so I went back to the cinema 5 days later to watch the movie again. I was so excited and so extremely happy that I trembled and could not stand still. xD And for these two reasons, I accidentally dropped my not really old phone. It just fell straight down on the stones in front of the cinema and the display was completely broken..Well, what can I say? I needed a new one.. 😂😅But the movie was still fantastic!😍🤭This is actually one of the stupidest things that ever happened to me. xD

Hey Ho! In fact, I haven’t experienced any paranormal things. Which is probably also because I don’t believe in that and I’ve found a rational cause for everything so far. (Important: I don’t believe in it, but I don’t say it doesn’t exist, I don’t want anyone to feel attacked)

And a nightmare I’ll never forget? In fact, I can’t think of any one. There’s a dream I’ve have since I was a kid: It’s about two little wolves trying to eat me. xD And I can even tell where that came from.

The movie to blame for this is: Twilight xD

Yep… When I first watched this movie, I was way too young, and as a child I was always very anxious. Just such things and horror movies in general were terrible for me (today it is actually no longer so) (Even the dream is no longer bad today and yet it has a bitter aftertaste of childhood.)

In any case, I was much too young and that did not let me go back then. xD But a really unsettling dream I had was: Well.. Do you know the Pink Panther? 😂

I once dreamed that the Panther “chased” me through an endless long corridor. It was an endless corridor in pink with countless doors. He sang the theme song and threw clocks at me…😅 And that went on all night until I woke up.

(This, by the way, had a trigger too. A German song (the rapper only took the melody of the title music and wrote his own lyrics. The text isn’t really cool though and that’s the reason)

He woke up hearing faint sounds of conversation from the kitchen. He immediately knew that Buck had to come over, since he was the only one who had a key. Then he heard his laughter, which only confirmed what Eddie thought. The only thing he was a little confused about was why Buck was there so early. And why didn’t he or Christopher wake him up. 

He picked up his phone to check the time. It wasn’t even 9am yet. They had a day off after the 24-hour shift they’d just finished. How the hell did Buck get out of bed so early on his day off after a 24-hour shift and having spent the evening before with them?

Eddie stretched, putting his phone away. Then he sighed and got out of bed. He quietly made his way to the kitchen, where he saw Buck and Chris making breakfast. It immediately brought a smile to his face. Buck was so great with his son, and Chris loved Buck so much. 

Eddie leaned against the door frame, watching Buck put another pancake on the pile on the plate, while Christopher was sitting with another plate in front of him, decorating a pancake with fruit and whipped cream that could be seen all over the table.

“What’s happening here?” Eddie asked, and both Chris and Buck looked at him, startled. 

“Happy birthday, daddy!” Chris yelled, laughing. Eddie was a little surprised, as he kind of forgot about it. But in his defense, it was early.

“You were supposed to be asleep. We wanted to bring you breakfast to bed.” Buck said, trying not to smile. 

“Sorry.” Eddie rolled his eyes with a chuckle. He walked towards the table, leaning down to leave a kiss on Chris’ head.

“Happy birthday, Eddie.” Buck said with a soft smile, handing him a plate with the pancake that Chris was preparing on it. 

“Thank you both. You shouldn’t have.” he said, not able to take his eyes off of Buck, whose cheeks got a little pink.

“It was Christopher’s idea.” Buck shrugged. “Now, sit down and eat, Chris made them, I just fried.”

“Oh, really?” Eddie looked back at his son. “When did you learn how to cook?”

“Buck and abuela taught me.” Chris laughed. Eddie could listen to that laugh forever.

“Good. You can cook for me then.” Eddie smiled, taking a place at the table next to his son.

“Buck can cook for us.” was Christopher’s answer in such a tone, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Eddie looked up and his eyes met Buck’s. “Right, Buck?”

“Of course, buddy.” Buck smiled, his eyes not leaving Eddie’s. A long moment passed, with them just exchanging a fond look, before Buck cleared his throat and turned away to start cleaning up after cooking. “So, what are you gonna do today?” he asked.

“Spend the day with you two.” Eddie shrugged. That’s honestly all he wanted to do for his birthday. He didn’t care what they were gonna do, he just wanted to be with Christopher and Buck. “But first would you sit down and eat breakfast with us?” he asked Buck, as Christopher grabbed a pancake and already started eating. “We’ll clean up later.”

“I will clean up.” Buck clarified, taking a place opposite Eddie. “It’s your birthday, you’re not doing a thing today.”

“Fine with me.” Eddie smiled widely. He observed as Buck took whipped cream and poured like half of the bottle onto his plate. Then he poured some straight into his mouth before noticing that Eddie was observing him, and blushing a bit. 

“What?” Buck asked. Eddie just shook his head. He wasn’t going to say that he was staring because he thought Buck was adorable. And he was scared that if he opened his mouth, he would say just that.

“I want more whipped cream too!” Chris exclaimed, and Buck was happy to help.

Eddie just sat there, observing his two boys make an even bigger mess in the kitchen. Fortunately, he wasn’t the one who would be cleaning that.

They didn’t do much. They went to the park, played with Christopher on the playground. They got ice cream. They ate lunch. And then they went back to Eddie’s and watched a couple of movies. It was like their ordinary day off, but it was perfect. Eddie had fun and that’s really all he wanted for his birthday. 

When it got late, Buck and Eddie put Christopher to bed together, per his request, and then Buck was about to leave. But despite spending the whole day together, Eddie did not want him to go. So he invited him for a beer.

They sat on the couch, drinking their beers in comfortable silence, until Eddie spoke up.

“Hey.” he said, and Buck turned his head to look at him. “Thank you.”

“What for?” Buck frowned with a little confused smile.

“For today.” Eddie shrugged, taking another sip of his beer.

“We literally did nothing special. It was what we always do.” Buck rolled his eyes.

“Well, you and Christopher were there, so it was pretty special.” Eddie said, not looking at Buck.

“Just wait for next year. I’ll plan something really special.”

“Like what?” Eddie asked with amusement, his gaze back on Buck.

“Don’t know yet. I have a year to figure something out. But it’s gonna be awesome.” Buck leaned his head back on the couch and looked at Eddie.

“I’ll hold you to it.” Eddie smirked, mirroring Buck’s position. So now they were just sitting there with their heads leaned on the back of the couch, staring at each other. “But seriously, today was great. You being there was all I needed. You and Chris.” he clarified and swallowed hard, hearing how it sounded. But the truth was, all he needed was his son and Buck. They were the two most important people in his life, which was kind of crazy because he’s known Buck for such a short amount of time… but as cheesy as it sounded, he believed they were soulmates. He just couldn’t imagine what his life would be like without Buck in it. And Buck was so great with Christopher, and they already acted like a family, and Eddie wondered… what if Buck feels the same? What if he wonders about them too? He never really dared to let himself think that far, but what the hell, it was his birthday and he could daydream a little. Even if Buck was right next to him.

“What?” Buck asked, when Eddie’s smile widened a bit. They kept looking into each other’s eyes, and at that point that wasn’t even weird anymore.

“I love you.” Eddie sighed, lost in Buck’s eyes, and just content to be there with him.

And then his brain caught up with his mouth, his eyes widened, and he started to panic. He raised his head and sat up straight, looking back at Buck with horor.

“You do?” Buck asked, and there was a hint of something in his voice… like hope? He blushed and seemed surprised and a bit nervous, but he didn’t move. He just kept looking at Eddie.

“Yeah.” Eddie breathed. He figured, if he’s already said it, he can’t just backtrack now.

“Okay.” Buck bit his lip, pouring a bit of his beer into his mouth, raising his head a bit to do that, then leaning it back again and looking up at the ceiling. “Good.”

Eddie was confused now. Buck looked confident now, and there was a hint of a smile on his face. “What?” it was Eddie’s turn to ask.

“I mean, I’m in love with you.” he said slowly, glancing at Eddie. “And apparently everyone could see it but you. And me, before I realized, with some help, to be honest, like-” he started rambling, and Eddie cut him off with a kiss. It was quick and rushed, and nervous, it was like testing the waters. “Or we can do that, instead of talking.” Buck nodded, as Eddie pulled away to look at him. “We can definitely do more of that.” he sat up to put his beer away, and then they were making out, more confidently now. 

Eddie could not believe it was happening. He felt like he was floating. Buck was such a great kisser. And their hands started exploring each other’s bodies, and the kiss was getting more and more heated, with a lot of tongue and teeth, and moaning… God, Eddie loved to hear the small noises Buck made.

And then they heard a voice.

“Daddy?” Christopher said, and Eddie and Buck jumped off of each other and looked in the direction of the voice. Chris was standing there, looking at them with an unreadable expression.

“Hey, buddy, why aren’t you asleep?” Eddie tried to play it cool, but his voice was shaking and he was a little out of breath. He ran a hand through his disheveled hair and attempted a smile.

“I can’t sleep. Buck, can you read me another story?” he asked, and for a second Eddie thought maybe he somehow didn’t notice them making out. Which was not possible, but he could hope. 

“Sure.” Buck said, sounding similar to Eddie. Eddie looked at him and saw his red face and flushed lips. He wanted to kiss him again. “Just give me a second and I’ll be right there, okay?”

“Okay.” Chris smiled and turned around. “Oh, by the way.” he added, before starting to walk back to his room. “I’m happy that you two are finally together.”

Eddie and Buck looked at each other in shock. Why the hell would Christopher say that? They were pretty obvious to everyone else, apparently, but a ten year old kid? Well, he might have been more perceptive than Eddie gave him credit for.

“I guess I have to go read him a story.” Buck said, still not moving. 

“Yeah.” Eddie nodded. “I guess you do.” he took a deep breath, his eyes dropping down to Buck’s lips again. “And after you’re back, we will, uh, talk.” he said.

“Talk.” Buck repeated, sounding as if he has never heard that word before.

“Yeah, talk.” Eddie bit his lip, and Buck chuckled, leaving a quick lingering peck on Eddie’s lips.

“Sure. We’ll talk.” he got up. “I’ll be right back.”

And, well, after they made sure Christopher was really asleep this time, they sat down to talk. But it ended up with more making out, and promises that they surely will talk in the morning. 

They fell asleep cuddled on the couch, still half sitting, and their backs were killing them the next morning. Eddie thought it was more than worth it. Because now he got to kiss Buck whenever he wanted, hold his hand, just do all the couple-y things he had wished he could do. And he could tell Buck he loves him, and that was just such a weight off his shoulders that he was carrying for most part of the past couple of years. And the best thing was, his son was completely fine, or even more than happy, than Buck and Eddie were together now.

“Hey, you know what?” Eddie asked a couple of days later, as they were cooking dinner together (well, Buck was cooking, Eddie was tasked with chopping the vegetables).

“What?” Buck asked, stirring in the pot.

“We got together on my birthday.” Eddie frowned.

“Yeah.” Buck looked back at him, an amused expression on his face. “So what? Are you scared that you’re only gonna get one gift from me?”

“No.” Eddie rolled his eyes. “But it’s not fair. Our anniversary should have its own day to celebrate it.”

“Anniversary? Wow, it’s only been a couple of days and you’re already a year ahead.” Buck teased, shaking his head. “How do you know it’s even gonna last?” he asked, but Eddie knew he was joking. They knew that what they had was special and they would fight to keep it. 

“Oh, shut up.” Eddie chuckled. “I just mean…” he drifted off. What did he mean?

“I personally like that it’s on your birthday.” Buck walked over to him. “That way our anniversary is just all the more special, because my second favorite person in the world was born on this day.” he hugged Eddie, hiding his face in his neck.

“Second?” Eddie scoffed, trying to sound offended.

“I mean, I love you, but Chris will forever be my number one.” Buck said and Eddie felt a fond smile tugging on his lips. He loved that Buck loved Christopher so much. 

“I love you.” Eddie said quietly, as Buck raised his head and left a quick kiss on Eddie’s lips. 

“So you’re gonna let this anniversary thing go?” Buck raised his eyebrows. “We can’t just choose another day, that would be cheating.”

“Cheating?” Eddie frowned, a small laugh escaping his lips.

“I would feel bad celebrating on another day.” he walked back over to the stove. “It would be a fake anniversary. Besides, one day maybe we’ll have one on a different day.” he added more quietly, and even shyly. And Eddie’s heartbeat sped up. Was Buck suggesting… that one day he would want to marry him? “But that’s far, far in the future.” Buck added quickly, laughing nervously. 

“Yeah.” Eddie breathed. They just got together, it was a long way to marriage. Although they were technically raising a kid together already… But Buck was right, that was way far in the future. That they will definitely have, because now that he had him, Eddie was not going to let go. 

“You done with that?” Buck gestured to the half-chopped vegetables in front of Eddie, as if the conversation didn’t happen. But he was still a bit red in the face. 

“No, give me a sec.” Eddie said, realizing that he was just standing there for the past few minutes, doing nothing. 

There was no rush. They had time. And they had each other. He could not be happier.

Decided to go through that old preview video you posted three years ago to see how many plot points we have yet to see. Going in video order, here’s my breakdown. First image we see is an image from the sidecomic, “Hello World”.

This, and the other shot of the “Hello World” comic we see after that, have no shading. Thought that was interesting. Afterwards, we see this picture of Ink, with this text.

Honestly? I’m kinda stumped on this. At first, I thought the Ink was from FNF, but then I looked and nope! Then I thought maybe it was from Chapter 3, but Ink isn’t very active in that chapter. So I dunno. Then, we have a very familiar picture of Underfell Sans, with Fatal saying “they never learn. but I do”.

Both the picture and the text are from the “Five Nights at Fatals” event. Next is another shot of Fatal.

I scoured the comic trying to see if this image has shown up yet, and I might be mistaken, but it hasn’t. After that, this text.

Seems to be an early version to a line in “Backbone”. Probably the case with our next image, too

Anyway, We get another image of Fatal after that, but it doesn’t look like it means much, so lets move on to Blueberry.

What gets me is the EXPRESSION he’s making. Next is Error.

Thank you for going so in depth with this! For those curious, these images are from this video I made HERE, which was meant to preview some of the (then) upcoming things I had planned for this story! And since that was three years ago (oooooof) we’ve hit quite a few of those things! Some of those images that didn’t seem recognizable actually did appear in the story so far, it’s just that I ended up having to make some design adjustments :) So the ones that you thought were related to the Backbone side comic you were totally right about! I ended up changing where I had them have this conversation (and of course, nixed Poppy from the conversation XD). And the images where we see Fatal holding up a bone dagger mabob is actually from the last 2 or 3 updates in Chapter Four. I was gonna reuse the image entirely but the way I had him drawn out earlier in the comic had the bone in the wrong hand, and I didn’t want there to be a contingency issue between updates as to why the bone magically went to his other hand, hahaha.

The start to writing.

So, many people including old friends and family did not know that I write some stuff of my own (even though very rarely). And the question about when and how did I get into this always arises, so here I am (lyrics *this is me, there is nowhere else on earth I’d rather be*) telling this short little story.

Don’t mind the lyrics part which keeps occurring in my mind as I write some phrases. XD

Umm.. I was a young kid who was always philosophical about things happening around me. I was involved in a lot of grown-up’s issues even as a child, kind of the mature kid. Yep, eldest son indeed. This lead to me ending up as a more understanding human being than the average of my age group. I would always be knowing what kind of things are to really worry about and what is trivial issue which is only bothering as long as we are giving a shit to it.

So when my father got transferred to a city in the southern India and we all decided to move there with him, it was not an easy decision for me to leave all my friends and the city I grew up in. There logic I gave to myself was that after 2 years we all will get away from each other any ways as we will move onto college life, so I’m taking a leave just a few days earlier than the rest. This new city was a better developed city and had nice education as well as living standards than my old one. OR SO I THOUGHT.

Well, seeking admission into Intermediate schools, I was late to take admission as the sessions had already begun and I could not do an extensive research on which are the good ones in the given time of 2-3 days. It was not really a smartphone era yet. I joined into the most reputed school chain given it was very close to our apartment plus produced great results every year. It was an english medium school and they only had students who were doing intermediate studies, just the 11th and 12th class kids.

I’d always been a part of co-education system and to my surprise this one was a school where both girls and boys did study but not together. They had entirely different floor. What a troll! It was really funny to observe these boys who had never shared a classroom with girls, they talk all kinds of nasty shit only to be silent af when girls pass by. Hahaha.

Well, so I took admission into the school and they gave me choice of subjects which were all what I wanted but the secondary language was only Hindi/Telugu/Sanskrit/Arabic. I could not apprehend the fact that there is no Computer Science/Application! How could you not have one as a part of your education system in this age? IT IS 2013 FFS! I took Hindi for obvious reasons (I am a North Indian and Hindi is my mother tongue) and carried on. -__-

The biggest lie was that they teach in English Medium. They spoke in their regional language all the time and only the equations written on blackboard was in english. Text book questions were in english and the explanations given in classroom were all in Telugu. I did not understand shit. It was a nightmare, I am a guy who listens what is being taught in the classroom and lesser of someone who reads books on his own. I would sit there watching out the window all day long, slowly the teachers also got to know that I can not speak their language and they could not really help it. They could not speak mine either. A couple of teachers tried and their classes were helpful. So 2/5 classes were what I understood. Each class was approximately 2 hours long so I was a dead ass for 6 hours straight every day! LOL

It wouldn’t require a genius to guess that kids also spoke Telugu only, a few of them knew Hindi and a few knew English but it was really hard to have a conversation. The conversations basically lasted 1-5 minutes depending on how much of entertainment they needed from my situation. :P

Half a year passed away like that and I was doing bad on those three subjects. I often complained to principal but he wouldn’t change the teachers just for one guy, specially when the rest of the class is fine with it. So I just sat there, people came to know about a guy who was called U.P. in whole college. Bruh, I was famous. Teachers also called me U.P. now, since my name is a tough one for most people I meet anyways. I had no issues with a nickname.

Then I met a guy who could speak Hindi-English-Punjabi-Telugu. ALL FLUENT! I was so glad to have a conversation with someone for that long, we shared gaming interests and we both came from same kind of schooling before arriving at this school. It felt like a miracle, I’d never met someone there who could connect to me that way.

But before I met this guy, I was alone. And in these six or seven months of loneliness - I learned to write whatever happened in my diary. It was a great thing to do, it felt like I’m talking to someone/myself. It made my heart lighter, sometimes happier too. I was not always sadistic but yes I was awfully quiet and had none to talk.

This habit of mine didn’t leave me, I carried it on for a long time. From my point of view that 1-1.5 years of writing was long time. My parents also had to leave the city as the transfer failed after 8 months of hard work and he was offered a new position back in the same city we came from. I was living there on my own and it was good experience. I was doing things on my own that people my age do not generally have to do. It was a great time and all of it had to be written down.

My school days finished, I came back to the old city and I got busy with a lot of people and lost my writing habit. I always tried to pick my diary up and write something but I never got back to the consistency I had.

Almost 7 years have passed since then and I am now trying to write my heart out on this blog of mine.

This is how it began and this is why I write. :)

Blue Halo

The weekends finally begun for Anoli, Liya, Nazeel and Sona, which meant for them a nice rest after a long week of school and work. Girls could finally be with their beloved ones, while Nazeel and Sona have fun with their uncles. Well, it’s not like they couldn’t do it during the week, but knowing that Chris and Axel have their jobs and Nazeel is still going to school, the energy consumes faster than Liya could think of any new trick. Plus, someone has to take Sona for walks in the meantime. After a long day, the crew finally could rest and gather together for a dinner.

Anoli: As it’s Friday today, for dinner we will have homemade cheese pizza.

Nazeel: Yay! 

Liya: Since when are you so generous, Anoli?~ I thought that you’re more for healthy dinners~

Anoli: True, but who would say no to a nice pizza for the start of the weekends?

Liya: True true~

Nazeel: And also try the one that our best momma made by herself.

He smiled brightly, making Anoli blush a bit and Liya giggle. Sona meanwhile signaled with his bark that it’s dinner time, to which Anoli smiled and patted him. 

Nazeel: Sona seems like also like this idea. I will bring his food.

Anoli: Okay. While Liya helps me to set the table.

Liya: Aww, okay.

And together they set the table while Nazeel fed Sona and patted him. Waving the tail happily, Sona began his meal while Anoli put the pizza on the table. Couple of more minutes past, and our crew began to enjoy the dinner, in the meantime talking about how their days went and if anything new happened. During the chat, Nazeel looked at Anoli. A little thought ran in his mind as Liya finished her story. 

Nazeel: Umm, momma?

Anoli: Yes?

Nazeel: May I ask you something?

Anoli and Liya got surprised for a moment, but then looked at Nazeel with curiousity.

Anoli: Sure, what is it, Nazeel?

Nazeel: I have noticed that your halo is always blue and not yellow like uncle Michael’s and my father’s ones. I thought that it was one of the angel’s ability with which angels can change colors of their halos, but it didn’t change with time. I wanted to ask you why it is so.

Such question stunned Anoli a bit, while Liya as curious as Nazeel.

Liya: Speaking of it, I was also curious about it, even tho I always forget to ask you about it.

Anoli: Umm, well, I..honestly haven’t thought about it at first.

Nazeel: Really?

Anoli: Yes. After I was resurrected by Michael, I haven’t even noticed that my halo was changed. But then when I saw it, I began to question myself why so. 

Liya: And you asked Michael about it.

Anoli: Not really. Honestly, even after questioning myself about it, I came up to the conclusion that maybe it’s just a unique trait for any angel.

She smiles brightly while Liya and Anoli were puzzled for a moment, but also smiled.

Liya: That’s so like you~

Nazeel: Yep. And also it suits you, momma.

Anoli: Thank you, sweetie. But still I did asked Michael about it, and he told me that because I was resurrected not in Heaven, but in mortal realm, I was still close to mortals than to angels, and so I have such halo.

Nazeel: Ooooohhh, so it means that when people go to Heaven, their halos become blue?

Anoli: Something like this.

Liya: I didn’t know about it. So those who were born in Heaven have yellow halo, while those who came to Heaven have blue halos.

Nazeel: That’s so cool! Sadly that you can’t change halo color to any you want. Heaven would be very “colorful”.

Liya: Hahaha, yeah, party in Heaven is guaranteed~

Anoli: And then hear hours of lectures from archangels.

Nazeel: I wonder if it’s the same for demon horns and tails.

Liya: Well, I honestly didn’t notice any change in such thing, but it’s indeed interesting~ That’s the question for Lucifer~ Save it for tomorrow~

Nazeel: Will do, mommy!

The crew laughed as continued enjoying the pizza. Sona also supported the chat with his bark as Anoli gave him a bowl of water, patting the pet at the same time. Sometimes even not so serious questions can light the mood in the family and gave an energy for the upcoming weekends, to which our little angel always hopes that they will go smooth and without any adventure, especially when it’s about King of Hell himself.
