Just went to Taylor Swifts eras tour and oh my god she is amazing like yeah I’ve been a fan of her music, but this show blew me away!!!! It had such a good vibes and it was so well paced and entertaining and well, Taylor is so talented. Really enjoyed it!

I’m watching Not Me and though I find it to be a little too heavy-handed at times and it's certainly not perfect, I am completely mesmerized so I need to ramble for a bit.

Finally I'm understanding the First hype. I knew he was great and handsome and talented in the role of Alan in MLC but Not Me has me falling for him fr fr. Like that man is so beautiful and charming in the role of Yok. Whenever he graces the screen I am gobsmacked. Those fucking eyes. Even though he’s paired with a cop I lowkey find their romantic development sweet (don’t tell anyone lol. Unar being a cop is easily the worst part of the show but I'm trying to suspend my disbelief and enjoy it anyway)

And Sean/White!! They are such a sexy pairing. Their development, White's apparent affection toward Sean, Sean cautiously reciprocating. Sean beating the shit out of White after White screws up his plan...not to be toxic but I love that shit right there like I'm eating it up. And the way they made up after it—holding hands under the pride flag, drinking in Black's room.

Their first kisses and the tent scene were so well done and romantic and satisfying. Those actors not only look good together, but they play off each other well. White is really effortlessly such a cutie pie. And I love that the both of them (particularly Sean) are older I’m sick of the baby twink BL boys (not really lmao but ykwim). Their chemistry knocked me tf out. I have four more episodes I can’t wait to see more of them together.

Lastly I’m just obsessed with the fact that this show is following a militant anticapitalist anarchist group trying to violently bring down a massive company. And the narrative isn’t condemning them for taking extralegal action. That's so refreshing to me. They’re messy, they make mistakes, they have disagreements, they have to grapple with exactly how they’re achieving their goals. I love how nuanced they are because it’s true to reality in a way I don’t see media often get—they are doing these things as an act of utmost love for people, as anarchists IRL do. They are not made to be mindless, 2-dimensional villains, willing to plow down anyone in their way—that would go against their whole ideology, of course, but I feel like I see this reductive, easy-way-out archetype so often in media (think Killmonger's ideology...coupled with the fact that he killed so many people on behalf of the US Army? Please make it make sense). They don't want to hurt innocent people—the show makes it a point every step of the way that none of them want harm to come to the people they are fighting for. They don't really want to hurt anyone, except for those at the very top.

I feel like I never see an anticapitalist vigilante group portrayed sympathetically in media. Sean, White, and co. are burning shit down, vandalizing, infiltrating warehouses—and narrative is rooting for them!! They are not evil, they are not villains, in fact they are very much the good guys. They are rooted in theory and love. It is made so clear that everyone in the group does what they do out of love.

The cherry on top is that this series was written directed by a trans woman, P'Nuchy. Like of course it was that's why it's so good, that's why it nails the nuances, that's why the militant anarchist group is made up of the sympathetic, kind, loving, COMPLEX protagonists who just want to set fire to everything that is hurting them and their people. This is top tier BL and I'm so excited to finish it, I just had to spit this all out first.

i keep thinking about how jun wu was convinced that xie lian's last believer(hua cheng) would leave him in that final battle since his own last believer(mei nianqing) also left him but to be fair to mei nianqing the situation is completely different.

xie lian was all hua cheng ever had, the god who saved him as a child, who protected him, whose shrines offered him shelter and comfort. xie lian is the literal reason he refuses to leave this world, as he wants to help and protect him just like he did so many years ago-he's what ties his existance on earth because he had no one else. his family seemed to despise him, no other friends, nothing. of course he'd follow xie lian anywhere, of course he'd do anything for the ONE PERSON to ever care about him, the person who held him while he cried and told him it wasn't his fault.

but mei nianqing? he had friends other that the prince. he had the other perceptors-all five of them were incredibly close. and then they turned against jun wu(for understandable reasons) and he killed them. his friends. THEIR friends. of course mei nianqing got scared,wouldn't you? seeing his prince slowly fall into madness, going as far as to kill people he cares about,people they both held so dearly in their hearts, it makes sense why mei niangqing fled.

the situation was completely different and yet jun wu failed to see that. he was so desperate to draw or forcibly create parallels between him and xie lian he ignored how big their differences are. yes junmei paraller hualian in a more tragic, messed up way but the dynamics are not identical and part of why jun wu failed is because he assumed not only that xie lian and him were the same , but also that mei nianqing and hua cheng's circumstances were identical

I have a confession to make

I’ve been starting to love Snack (Snape x Sirius) more than Snupin. I’ve been feeling this way for around two months ever since I read my favourite Snack fic, and I genuinely cannot get them out of my head. I’ve always loved Snack, Severus and Sirius are some of the best HP characters (in terms of how well-written and interesting they are) in my opinion, but I’ve always loved Snupin. It’s been my number 1 favourite HP ship for years, and no other ship has ever rivalled it, until now.

I feel like this post is going to come off as random and not a big deal at all, but it really is to me. 😭 I feel like I’m betraying Remus with my love for Severus and Sirius together, especially since the fanfic I read portrayed Remus in a realistic but somewhat unlikeable light, which genuinely gave me an entirely different perspective on the Marauders’ friendship and Snape’s relationship with each of them. I think this fic shocked me so much because, in Snupin fics I’m used to the authors bashing Sirius for the prank and for the way he treated Remus and Severus, and Remus ditches Sirius and James and goes to be with Severus. Therefore, in Snack fics I was always used to the authors treating Remus well (because if Snape can forgive Sirius, he can definitely forgive Remus), however in this fanfic, the way Remus was treated was pretty blindsiding and is honestly an interesting way to look at things. He wasn’t mentioned much, yet he still managed to leave a presence in my mind.

Not only that, but the fanfic made me love Sirius as a person so much more, my heart ached for him throughout the fic and his extremely complicated relationship with his family hits too close to home. And it made me realise just how much potential Sirius and Severus had, that fanfic explored said potential perfectly and nailed both of their characters. They truly would’ve made an amazing couple, or at least a hilarious duo, in another universe.

Anyway, that’s just how I’ve been feeling for the past few weeks, now I literally cannot go a day without my brain being flooded by thoughts and scenarios of Snape and Sirius. I actually cannot get enough of them now, if any of you have fanfic recommendations PLEASE tell me. I am not okay.

Allow me to rant a second if you please 🙏 been sitting on this for a while now but the thing i need most for sonic movie 3 is for Sonic to grow into his game self a lil more, give me that unrelenting confidence and cockiness, I don't want Shadow constantly beating him into the ground (which i feel like is gonna happen anyways T-T) like what happened with knuckles, I don't want them all teaming up to fight Shadow coz he's too powerful or whatever, Sonic has never had trouble going one on one with Shadow before, Shadow very rarely beats Sonic in a fight, or it's at least a draw, it's also one of the big reasons Shadow has such an issue with Sonic, coz he can never properly beat him when he's supposed to be 'the ultimate lifeform' and it's honestly one of my fave things about their dynamic. I know movie Sonic is very different from game Sonic, he's a lot less experienced and all that and I love him dearly he's my precious bby boi but I think it's time for him to really start growing into that confident, super sure of himself, unrelenting hero that we all know and love. They really need to stop nerfing my boy, let him grow a little, it's His World after all ;)

cressida's storyline was genuinely shameful tbhhh it's like they started rewriting it in the first half of the season then completely forgot about the changes they'd made to make it fit the book plot and it just ends up making everyone else look bad😐 every character in the second half got a "penelope did nothing wrong" lobotomy so we ended up with eloise completely ignoring cressida being sold off to an horrible man (when she made every effort to support her in the first half of the season) and for some reason resenting her for pretending to be lady whistledown? Then they somehow frame her ignoring colin's offensively bad pleas as it being her turning away from redemption when all she's trying to do is escape being trapped in the country with her likely abusive aunt... and it ends with her meeting her horrible fate and it still being framed as tragic only to immediately juxtapose it with the bridgerton family winning the idgaf war while gleefully seeing off francesca and her future dead husband.
