the longer I practice yoga and meditation the more I continue to become acutely aware of self. Or to rephrase, the more I am able to call myself out on my own bullshit🧨!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

with every practice my awareness of self continues to widen, deepen, and expand. I am learning to let go of my grip of identification and to take a step back to observe myself with honesty and self-compassion. Lots of honesty and lots of self-compassion, especially when it’s ugly. And with that, I give myself permission to call myself out on my own wrong and my own faults, and to use that as a process towards better evolvement of self.

It’s funny how we outgrow what we once thought we couldn’t live without. And then we fall in love with what we didn’t even know we wanted. Life keeps on leading us on journeys we would never go on if it were up to us. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

SOLITUDE // It’s a dangerous sign if you can never be alone. I come from a very tight-knit family, and I always have had close friends. But I realised that I needed to be alone to grow. So I went on abroad trips by myself. And still do by choice. 
When you’re alone, you have time to know who you are. When you’re always with others, you’re just a product of the other people in your life. Once you get in the comfort of being alone, solidarity becomes very addictive. Got a notification on Facebook that today’s my 2 year anniversary with Bali and we still going strong. Here’s to spending my anniversary in my favourite island with my favourite people. Yesterday was extra magical with my extra magical soul sister. Gaia lovers x
