Imagine growing up a little and going on the internet, and finding out about this show

I did Dipper and Mable as teenagers! Wrote some of the things I thought while drawing them, and ended up with an entire AU in my head that one day I may or may not realize in a small comic!

I designed them based on what I wore in high school because we're basically the same age. I bet Dipper watched Evangelion once and thought it was the deepest philosophical thing ever created (he didn’t understand shit about it, and neither did I :D)

my vision of dipper in 2024 is an awkward dude in his 20s working a soul-sucking journalism job so he can fund his real passion project (a webseries/podcast where he talks about conspiracy theories and the paranormal) while mabel is a humble craft store worker with an apartment full of "live, laugh, tacos!" type decor who makes big bank on Etsy selling gorgeous hand-knitted clothes. dipper's dating life is an endless cycle of terrible dating app experiences while mabel has a new girlfriend added to the mycelium network of polyamory and exes every two weeks. they both complain about being too young to be having random joint pains

IT’S FINALLY HERE!!! The whole thing is painted in actual watercolour and I wanted to set it on fire more than once but it’s HERE!!!

There’s some hidden Bills, easter eggs, and inside jokes for fans but I think it’s understandable even if you don’t know anything about Gravity Falls ✨

Okay, so I took what I said in my last post as motivation and made a grown up Mabel, I tried to draw her in childcore because I’m convinced she would LOVE that aesthetic. Also she has pansexual flag earrings and she knitted the sweater and leg warmers herself. She runs a small clothing shop that sells stuff she knitted and/or crocheted like plushies, clothes, puppets, toys, etc. She’s Pansexual, she’s gone to therapy with dipper about weirdmaggeddon (their therapist is a grown Sasha because who else..) so don’t worry and I headcanon her and dipper as on the autism spectrum
