Challenges Ahead for Britain's Labour Party Government
As the Labour Party government of Britain gears up to present its inaugural budget this week, the prevailing sentiment among officials has been one of cautious forewarning for the citizens. Comparing the privilege of marginalized men vs similarly marginalized women doesn't work the same for trans people as it does for cis people. Cis men and cis women who are marginalized in the same way will both suffer from their shared oppression(s), but cis women will be suffer from that shared oppression and misogyny, while cis men largely won't be (at least not as systemic targets of misogyny), giving them relative privilege over the aforementioned cis women.
But trans men and trans women are both targets of systemic misogyny. The claim that trans men and trans women both suffer from transphobia, but only trans women suffer from transphobia and misogyny, would be false. Similarly, it would be false to claim that only trans men suffer from both transphobia and misogyny, while trans women suffer from transphobia but not misogyny.
Trans men suffer from transphobia and misogyny, and trans women suffer from transphobia and misogyny, and neither group of trans people has the relative privilege of not being systemic targets of misogyny.
#cis frameworks of gender don't always work 100% for trans people! more at 7#this isn't to say no group of trans people can ever access conditional benefits#transphobia

What is G7? History of the International Group of Seven
Join me as we delve into the history and significance of the International Group of Seven (G7). From its origins to its current role in global politics, we explore the impact this group has had on international relations and economic policies.
so... G7... This group is made up of seven of the world's largest advanced economies, including Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Today we'll be exploring the history and significance of this influential group.
The G7 was first established in 1975 as an informal forum for leaders to discuss economic issues facing their countries. At that time, it was known as the G6 and included only six countries: France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Canada joined in 1976 to form what is now known as the G7.
Over time, the G7 has expanded its focus beyond just economic issues to include discussions on a wide range of topics such as climate change, security issues and global health crises. The group meets annually to discuss these issues and coordinate their policies.
One significant event that helped establish the G7's role in global politics was its response to the 1979 oil crisis. At that time, oil prices had skyrocketed due to political instability in Iran. The G7 leaders met in Tokyo that year and agreed to coordinate their energy policies to stabilize prices. This marked a turning point for international cooperation on economic issues.
Another important moment for the G7 came in 1991 when it played a key role in ending apartheid in South Africa. The group imposed economic sanctions on the country, which helped to pressure the government to end its discriminatory policies. This demonstrated the G7's ability to use economic leverage to achieve political goals.
In recent years, the G7 has faced criticism for its lack of diversity and representation. Some have argued that it should include more countries from the Global South and emerging economies. In response, the G20 was established in 1999 as a forum for a broader range of countries to discuss economic issues.
Despite these criticisms, the G7 remains an important forum for global cooperation on economic and political issues. Its members represent a significant portion of the world's economy and have significant influence over global policies.
That's all for today's episode on the International Group of Seven. I hope you enjoyed learning about this influential group and its history. Join me next time as we explore another topic in depth.

How Biden's wartime visit to Kyiv came together

*Station 118 Shift Swap Group Chat*
B-Shift Paramedic: I need to swap out on Saturday. Someone HMU please.
Bobby: Wait, so HMU isn't "hold my umbrella"?
Chimney: No. It’s actually "hummer med underkläder", which means "I love you" in Swedish and I think that's beautiful.
Eddie: "Hummer med underkläder" means "Lobster with panties".
Hen: How do you even know that?
Eddie: My Mother wanted at least one child that could speak to her parents when they called so she wouldn’t have to.
Chimney: You know what, Diaz. Your childhood trauma and resulting multilingualism is really getting in the way of my best work.
Eddie: Your best work? Tricking Bobby into thinking hook-up slang means something innocent?
Bobby: HOOK-UP SLANG!!?!? I texted the Commissioner “HMU” during that hurricane last week??
Chimney: *Ignoring Bobby* That’s “Gaslighting the Elderly” to you, Rosetta Stone.

Okay but it's super interesting how
Din = Power = Ganondorf
Naryu = Wisdom = Zelda
Farore = Courage = Link.
Because Din, in the hylian creation myth, created the physical world. Naryu then created the laws - gravity, time, etc. And Farore finally created life - plants and people.
Din created the body, naryu the mind, Farore the soul.
And the triforce and its wielders so perfectly reflect that.
Ganon is physical power, he is big and intimidating and he breaks things. He is cunning and determined, but that's not what he focuses on. He is might makes right.
Zelda is wisdom and cleverness. She is stall tactics and information and team work. She is a powerful mage with a spine of steel, but that's not how she'll win. She is the pen being mightier than the sword.
Link is courage and persistence. He is the wild card sneaking behind enemy ranks, always moving, plunging into terrifying situations head first. He's a phenomenal fighter with a keen wit, but that's not what will get him through his challenges. He is bravery not being the absence of fear but the triumph over it.
They sit in perfect parallels to each other.
And ganon is reborn through his body - his resurrection is immortality. No matter how low he is cast, as long as he has a body he can claw his way back. He can cling to his power, build it ever higher.
Zelda is reborn through the magic of her bloodline. It's the accumulated knowledge handed down for generations, the unique power she must master, the skills she must develop to survive and get her kingdom out the other side intact. Even her name, the knowledge of herself, is handed down from all the way from the very first. Her ancestors knowledge of her future presence, her stability, is what gives her the edge.
Link is reborn in spirit. He is not bound by flesh or blood. Just like his wanderlust soul he can reappear in any time or place. His variation, his unpredictability, is exactly how he fights. It's what makes him so hard to pin down.
Ganons need to build strength means he can't chase after link. Links impulsiveness means zelda can outwit him. Zeldas stationary predictability means she's an easy target for ganon.
But the other direction?
Fire melts ice, ice redirects lightning, lightning burns fire.
And that's the very essence of the triforce.
#It's little details spread across the games like this that just makes it work so WELL it's SO COOL#They're all great at all parts of the triforce but they CHOOSE to focus on the path most meaningful to them#And that's literally reflected in their unique cycles of reincarnation isn't that just AMAZING#And that's why the team up is so important! If they were all working against each other they'd be locked spinning their wheels#If zelda and ganon teamed up link would immediately die and if link and ganon teamed up zelda would instantly perish#It's the link zelda team up that means ganon is the one who kicks it#Also the elemental thing was cool but they do jump around a bit. Like wind is there half the time#In botk the gerudo have lightning and the goron have fire. Farosh still has lightning tho and dinraal fire#In ss lanaryu was the lightning and faron had water like its all over the place thematically. And that's when it's only 3!#Don't even get me started on the 5/7 lots notankyu#But that's the most common group and it's also thematically accurate#Fire being the only one able to self perpetuate with fuel. Can be banked up again. Ice compresses with time but needs the right environment#Lightning go boom 👍 you can feel the static in the air but you don't know when/where it'll strike and then it's all over#Like fr it's hilarious zelda and ganon are playing the long game and link runs past eats all the pieces and while ganons yelling after him#Zelda checkmates his king. And nobody can prove she wasn't cheating because nobody was looking lmao#Ah the duality of metaphors#ANYWAY isn't that so neat???#Reason no.372 why rhoam was a terrible king he didn't just screw up he did it ✨thematically✨#If link had been allowed to run off and get dirty and if zelda was allowed to study her interest (like post kingdom fall FOR EXAMPLE)#They'd have won (like aoc) but nooooooo. I've already made a post (or 3) about it lmao I'll be quiet now#loz#legend of zelda#botw#triforce#loz link#the legend of zelda#zelda#loz botw#ganondorf#loz ganon

ot6 freaks when they have to come to terms with the fact that riize is and will always be 7… that the members themselves pushed to have seunghan back… they knew the risks that came with that but still wanted to continue as a group with seunghan because thats their friend, their family.
if you love riize, you love all 7 of them. you cant claim to love riize if you dont love the entire group, because riize themselves love the entire group. riize wanted to be 7, so why cant you support that? because they dont fit your little delusional parasocial fantasy? disrespecting a riize member is disrespecting all of riize, under the guise of “protecting” them and “worried about the hate they’ll get” when you’re the exact people spreading the hate ur so worried about. whats the end goal here? how was chanting that riize is 7 harmful and disrespectful to the group but sending funeral wreaths and wishing death on seunghan isnt disrespectful? the boys made their decision… so you support or you unstan. it got to a point where the first mention of seunghan from one of the members was a note to the people sending hate to seunghan to stop and to support riize because thats what riize wants… instead of a first post being praise and celebrating his return.
theres also many groups that have had members join the group post debut and those groups are doing just fine ? sure they had some sort of hate when they came in but in the end, the members are happy and they have a good support system from fans. thats what riize needs right now, thats what seunghan needs right now, because he’s not even a new member, he’s just resuming his activities with his group that he already debuted with !!
even if you became a briize during the time he was on hiatus, i hope you grow to love him the way other briize and riize members love him as well. there’s no reason to send him hate if you truly love riize the way you claim.
#sorry ive been so irritated the last two days over this#i never know how to put all my feelings into words#i hate ot6 ‘briize’… like ur not a briize you’re actually a riize anti#theres so many other groups to stan!! stan those instead and leave riize alone!!#riize#riize is 7#i love my riize family 😔💔#i

Love the fact that he’s not even that offended when he thought it was Yuu grabbing his hand, but gets 10x more upset when he realizes it was the darkness.
Just another case of Yuu winning another first year over as their friend through sheer will and determination.
