“Kẻ đi cùng hắn sở hữu sức mạnh phi thường. Không nhất thiết phải bắt sống. Nếu cần, cho phép xử lý luôn.”

Nghe nhiệm vụ, người đàn ông kia chỉ khẽ cười mỉm. Hắn là một sát thủ khét tiếng trong giới.

Người tiến sĩ kia cùng vệ sĩ đang ẩn mình trong một con hẻm ở khu phố cũ, nơi không có camera giám sát. Họ dự định gặp gỡ một cộng sự để chạy trốn ra nước ngoài, nhưng người cộng sự mãi không xuất hiện. Có lẽ họ đã bị phản bội hoặc người kia đã bị tổ chức thủ tiêu…

Không khí khẽ rung chuyển.

Lưỡi kiếm của sát thủ lao thẳng đến tiến sĩ và vệ sĩ của anh, xé toạc không gian chỉ vừa một lúc trước vẫn còn yên lặng không một bóng người.

Người vệ sĩ ngay lập tức đứng lên đánh trả. Cậu không hề thua kém tên sát thủ lành nghề.

Trong tình thế giằng co không ai nhường ai, người vệ sĩ hạ quyết tâm, nhắm mắt lại và hít một hơi thật sâu. Chỉ trong giây lát, đôi mắt cậu chuyển đỏ, cậu lao đến tấn công với một tốc độ nhanh vượt ngoài sức tưởng tượng của con người. Sát thủ không quá ngạc nhiên với sự biến hóa đó, hắn không hề cắm đầu phản công mà chỉ bình tĩnh quan sát chuyển động của người vệ sĩ.

Sau trận đấu căng thẳng, người vệ sĩ ngã gục như con rối đứt dây. Cùng lúc đó, sát thủ cất vũ khí của mình đi. Tiến sĩ vô thức thốt lên ngạc nhiên: “Sao thế? Không phải cậu đến đây để thủ tiêu chúng tôi à?”

Để có thời gian nói chuyện rõ ràng với tiến sĩ, sát thủ đã đưa người vệ sĩ đang bất tỉnh đến nơi ẩn náu của hắn.

Hắn hỏi tiến sĩ rằng tại sao anh lại phản bội một tổ chức lớn mạnh như vậy và mang kết quả nghiên cứu trốn ra ngoài.

Tiến sĩ đã kể lại rằng trong quá trình nghiên cứu năng lượng mới, anh đã đạt được kết quả ngoài mong đợi, và chính điều đó đã dẫn đến việc tổ chức quyết định chuyển hướng nghiên cứu sang quân sự. Anh nhận ra đây là một sức mạnh không thuộc về con người, giống như sức mạnh của quỷ dữ, và nếu để cho một quốc gia nắm giữ thì hậu quả sẽ khôn lường. Vì vậy, anh đã mang kết quả nghiên cứu đi và cố gắng trốn ra nước ngoài.

Người đàn ông đi cùng tiến sĩ với tư cách là vệ sĩ là một đối tượng nghiên cứu bị giam giữ trong viện - cậu là một trong những người sống sót cuối cùng của tộc người mang dòng máu chiến binh.

Cậu không liên quan đến nghiên cứu của tiến sĩ, nhưng thường quan tâm đến tình hình của anh và thỉnh thoảng đến trò chuyện cùng anh. Ban đầu tiến sĩ định bỏ trốn một mình, nhưng người đàn ông này đã nài nỉ muốn đi cùng và hứa sẽ làm vệ sĩ cho anh. Vì vậy, họ đã cùng nhau trốn khỏi tổ chức.

Sát thủ sau đó bắt đầu kể về quê hương của mình - một hành tinh của những người mang dòng máu chiến binh. Giống như người vệ sĩ, sát thủ cũng là một trong những người sống sót cuối cùng của tộc người này.

Nhiệm vụ lần này hắn cũng nhận vì tiền.

Nghe xong, tiến sĩ đã suy nghĩ và đưa ra một đề nghị. Anh cho rằng năng lượng mới mà anh đang nghiên cứu có thể giúp sát thủ trở về hành tinh của mình. Lời đề nghị này rất hấp dẫn, và sát thủ nhận ra rằng sức mạnh của hắn cũng cần thiết để tiến sĩ có thể chạy trốn an toàn.

Đúng lúc đó, một giọng nói vang lên từ phía sau: "Hả?"

Người vệ sĩ tỉnh dậy và bối rối khi thấy tiến sĩ và sát thủ đang ngồi uống trà đàm đạo cùng nhau.

“Chúng tôi đã quyết định từ giờ sẽ cùng nhau bỏ trốn. Hãy hòa hợp với nhau nhé." tiến sĩ nói.

"Tôi không hiểu chuyện gì đang xảy ra, và cũng không thể chấp nhận việc này!" người vệ sĩ phản đối.

Ngay khi người vệ sĩ định tấn công sát thủ, cả hai liền nhìn ra ngoài.

...Một nhóm truy đuổi họ đang đến gần.

Trước tiên là phải giải quyết tình hình bây giờ đã.

So close and yet so far.

Because the thing that you're getting brainwashed about is thinking that 'nonbinary' needs to exist at all and should be defined by a resistance to social norms.

A woman who doesn't follow the 'expected' social norms is still just a woman. A man who doesn't follow the 'expected' social norms is still just a man. I don't know how anyone can think otherwise (without being incredibly sexist).

There is no "correct" way to be a man or a woman, or to dress as a man or a woman, or to act as a man or a woman. "Man/Boy/Male" and "Woman/Girl/Female" are simply biological states. Nothing more. Those labels don't tell you *anything* about another person beyond which gamete their reproductive system should theoretically produce.

You people keep talking about this 'gender binary' when none actually exists. Sex is binary in the vast majority of cases; that is true. But the way "gender" is defined (if you can even define it) is so vague and meaningless that it seems to just mean personality/style, which is, of course, not binary and never has been in the first place.

Yes, societies have and do (either intentionally or not) had/have a way of promoting or outright enforcing certain behaviors among men and women. But I thought that kind of thing was the very thing so-called progressives were supposed to be fighting against, not reinforcing. Societal norms don't actually provide accurate information with regards to reality. For instance, a woman who insisted on wearing pants in the 50's was not 'nonbinary'. She was just a regular woman who wasn't a fan of the fashion norms of the time.

The real reason "so many autistic folks" are "trans"/nonbinary is because autistic people tend to see the world in black and white rigid categories. Including concepts like "boy" and "girl". And so if you're a girl who feels you've never fit in with the other girls (because you're autistic) you're more likely to mistakenly think, "well clearly, I don't fit in this category -- that means that I *must* belong to the other one or some brand new other one that I must make up." (Hence "nonbinary" and all the other supposed 'genders').

But... that' so obviously not how anything actually works. Being a girl in no way means you automatically fit in with the other ones or do all the things you think that they do.

Can anyone explain to me, a woman, what 'identifying' as a woman apparently specifically entails without sounding incredibly sexist or relying on stereotypes (which most likely would not be accurate in my case)? Because I don't see how you could.

Actually being trans is in no way about 'not following society's rules' or whatever. It is an actual (very rare) medical condition or mental illness (the science isn't settled on this) that very few people have. And I think a lot of people are getting sick of people appropriating it and pretending like they have it when they clearly don't as if all it is is a way to say 'FU' to society.

and because i'm an asshole, i decided to look into why so many autistic folks are trans/nb. it's not an inaccurate statement, at least the first half, but terfs lie through their teeth so i decided to get to the scientific root of it.

the answer blew my fucking mind.

the study on gender and autism i found said two very specific things about autistic people: we are more mentally resistant to things like social conditioning and binarism. we like our secret third things, y'know.

“The finding that non-binary identities are most elevated seems to support hypotheses focussed on autistic resistance to social conditioning, which are consistent with existing evidence of the same effect with respect to self-description of sexual orientation. Perhaps elevated rates of trans identity in autism might result from a rejection of the binary cisgenderist norm, which combined with a below-typical concern for social norms could promote the disclosure of the identity.”

94% of autistics surveyed for that paper identified themselves as non-binary.

other studies have found autistic people have higher levels of critical thinking, and require more evidence to maintain or convert to a belief system (hence why many of us eventually fall away from religion) than allistic people.

which means, at least from my perspective, that:

a) the 'brainwashing' terfs are accusing the trans community of inflicting on autistic folks would likely not even work if they tried.

b) the current binary definition of gender flies directly against embedded autistic modes of thinking to begin with.

you cannot brainwash someone into thinking something they already believe.

The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies - The most imminent of these projects, since it's premiering only in a few days. It's the story of the forbidden romance between the magical girl Byakuya Mimori and Mira, a high-ranking official of an army trying to take over the world.

Mermaid Magic - In a new western magical girl show from the same studio as Winx Club, Princess Merlinda, with her friends Sasha and Nerissa in tow, ventures to the human world in order to find a way to save her homeland of Mertropia from the ghost pirate Barbarossa and his monster horde. Dropping on Netflix next month.

Acro Trip - One of several new magical girl series coming out in the Fall 2024 anime season, Acro Trip follows Chizuko Date as her efforts to increase appreciation for her idol, local magical girl Berry Blossom, takes her down a "dark path filled with strange folks."

Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. - Kana Sakuragi is having a hard time finding work, botching over 15 different job interviews. However, her luck changes when a series of events lands her a job at the magical girl company Magilumiere.

Maebashi Witches - A TV original production by Sunrise, Maebashi Witches is a coming of age story focused on a quintet of high schoolers who are approached by a strange and mysterious frog named Keroppe, who recruits them to become the titular group. Now working in a magical flower shop, the girls use the "Witchverse" pocket dimension to grant people's wishes with the power of song and dance. Has the same writer as Bocchi the Rock (Erika Yoshida).

Princsession Orchestra - A TV original coming in 2025, Prinsession Orchestra is based on a concept by Akifumi Kaneko, one of Symphogear's co-creators. The land of Alicepia's peace is destroyed when monsters called Jammerwocks attack, prompting a trio of young girls to step up the plate to protect the realm.

Winx Club - The western magical girl classic is getting a CGI reboot. While comments by Iginio Straffi imply that certain characters who were introduced later in the original series (such as Roxy and Nabu) will appear earlier, no specific plot details have been revealed so far. The series is coming to Netflix late 2025.

New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt - Panty & Stocking is getting a second season after over a decade that's coming out sometime next year with no specific plot details revealed yet.

Project Symphogear Next - A new Symphogear movie was announced late last year. However, no further details have been revealed.

Hua Xianzi: Zhi Mofa Xiang Dui Lun - A co-production between Tencent Video and Toei Animation's Shanghai branch, this anime is being billed as a "remake" of Lunlun the Flower Fairy. That being said, the official synopsis makes it sound more like a reboot/distant sequel.

Studio Pierrot's new anime - Studio Pierrot, which has made a variety of magical girl anime from TV originals like Creamy Mami to adaptations such as Tokyo Mew Mew, has announced that they're creating a new TV original magical girl anime. No specific details have been disclosed, but the caption for the teaser image ("I want you to sing once more...") implies that it'll be a magical idol anime.

Lolirock season three - After Lolirock's second season ended with a cliffhanger all the way back in 2017, it seemed like the story would never get a proper conclusion. However, the series's creator and director, Jean-Louis Vandestoc, announced on his Instagram in 2023 that creative meetings for a third season have begun.

Magic Knight Rayearth revival - TMS Entertainment is making a new Magic Knight Rayearth anime in honor of the franchise's 30th anniversary. Unfortunately, it's currently unknown what the format will be.

Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card season two - The sequel to the magical girl classic is getting a second season that will adapt the rest of the manga.

Magical Girl holoWitches - A multimedia project starring six VTubers as fictionalized versions of themselves who work as both streamers and magical girls who save people when they get trapped in the magical Holocas World. There was a four minute extended trailer in May 2024, but the anime's proper premiere date is unknown.

New Ojamajo Doremi thing - As part of the celebrations for the franchise's 25th anniversary, Toei Animation released two new music videos for the series' 1st OP and 4th ED with the promise that a new project will be made if the videos reach a combined 5 million views. This goal has since been met. Due to the girls being adults in the videos, the new project will presumably be an adaptation of the Ojamajo Doremi 16-20's sequel series of light novels.

Madonna - Like a Prayer 1989

"Like a Prayer" is a song by American singer Madonna and was released as the lead single from her 1989 fourth studio album of the same name. Written and produced by both Madonna and Patrick Leonard, the song heralded an artistic and personal approach to songwriting for Madonna, who believed that she needed to cater more to her adult audience. Leon Robinson was hired to play the role of a saint; the part was inspired by Martin de Porres, the patron saint of mixed-race people and all those seeking interracial harmony. 【Group Anniversary 2024】 ŹOOĻ Anniversary Story

Anh là một nhà giả kim thiên tài được cả thế giới nể trọng. Tuy vậy, nhà giả kim lại là người rất khó tính và anh dành toàn bộ thời gian của mình để nghiên cứu ở một phòng thí nghiệm xa xôi hẻo lánh cùng với người trợ lý duy nhất luôn sẵn lòng hỗ trợ mình. Sự nghiệp nghiên cứu của anh ngày càng phát triển và anh dần dần thử nghiệm những kỹ thuật ngày càng nguy hiểm.

Bỗng một ngày nọ, tai nạn kinh hoàng đã xảy ra trong quá trình thí nghiệm.

Người trợ lý bị thương nặng trong vụ tai nạn, và rồi qua đời. Đau đớn và ân hận, nhà giả kim đã cố gắng hồi sinh trợ lý của mình bằng cấm thuật. Khi tỉnh lại, người trợ lý không hề nhớ gì về vụ tai nạn và cũng không biết chuyện gì đã xảy ra với mình. Vì thế, nhà giả kim cùng trợ lý quay trở lại những tháng ngày êm đềm như xưa.

Tuy nhiên, vì đã xảy ra chút sai sót trong quá trình hồi sinh, nên sinh mệnh tạm bợ của người trợ lý cần phải sạc pin định kỳ. Để trợ lý không phát hiện ra, nhà giả kim đã sạc pin cho cậu lúc cậu đang ngủ, dù vậy, anh cũng không thể làm như thế mãi được. Do đó, nhà giả kim đã nghĩ tới việc sẽ lấy Hòn Đá Phù Thủy trong truyền thuyết - thứ được mệnh danh là nguồn năng lượng vĩnh cửu - để duy trì sự sống cho trợ lý của mình.

Anh có nghe tin đồn rằng Hòn Đá Phù Thủy được giấu trong một di tích nào đó nên đã thuê một cặp thợ săn kho báu nổi tiếng tới lấy nó về. Anh không nói với họ rằng hòn đá đó là mạng sống của người trợ lý, bởi anh nghĩ rằng nếu nói ra sự thật thì họ sẽ từ chối nhận việc này và chỉ trích anh vì đã sử dụng cấm thuật. Hai thợ săn kho báu đã phải đối mặt với cơ man nguy hiểm trong hành trình tiến tới phần sâu nhất của di tích, nhưng họ cũng bỏ túi được rất nhiều kho báu khác trên đường đi.

Sau bao cực nhọc, cuối cùng họ cũng đến được nơi sâu thẳm đó, nơi Hòn Đá Phù Thủy đang say ngủ. Tuy nhiên, chính khoảnh khắc họ chạm tay vào hòn đá...

...các bức tường và mặt đất rung chuyển dữ dội, toàn bộ di tích bắt đầu sụp đổ. Cả 2 người vội vã tháo chạy, nhưng đất đá dưới chân họ nứt toác. Một người suýt nữa rơi xuống vực thẳm và người còn lại ngay lập tức vứt hòn đá đi để nắm lấy tay đồng đội mình.

Hai thợ săn kho báu thoát được khỏi di tích sụp đổ và quay trở về kể lại chuyện cho nhà giả kim. Họ đã mang về được rất nhiều kho báu khác nên nghĩ rằng không có hòn đá cũng sẽ ổn thôi, thế nhưng nhà giả kim tức giận hét lên "Không có Hòn Đá Phù Thủy thì mấy thứ này có ý nghĩa gì chứ!", và rồi định một mình chạy tới tìm trong đống đổ nát.

Để trấn an nhà giả kim đang mất bình tĩnh, hai thợ săn kho báu vội giải thích rằng di tích đã sụp đổ, giờ không thể vào được nữa, có lẽ hòn đá đó thực sự là hòn đá của phù thủy.

Hai người thợ săn thắc mắc tại sao nhà giả kim lại để tâm đến Hòn Đá Phù Thủy tới vậy, và anh bắt đầu kể cho họ nghe mọi chuyện, về tai nạn, về người trợ lý của mình. Nhà giả kim đã tưởng rằng khi biết mình phạm cấm, 2 người họ nhất định sẽ thấy ghê sợ rồi bỏ đi,...

Thế nhưng khi nghe xong câu chuyện, 2 thợ săn kho báu trách anh: "Chuyện như thế sao không nói sớm! Đi, đi tìm hòn đá nào!". Nhà giả kim vô cùng ngạc nhiên. Vừa lúc đó trợ lý mang trà tới, thấy mọi người đang bàn tán rất sôi nổi, cậu bèn tò mò hỏi họ đang nói chuyện gì. Cả 2 người thợ săn đều nói rằng họ đang bàn bạc về chuyến phiêu lưu tiếp theo của mình.

Nghe vậy, trợ lý mỉm cười vui vẻ, cuối cùng nhà giả kim khó tính của cậu cũng có bạn bè rồi.

it feels mean to say but my main takeaway from them showing off the little village they made using different material in combination with the pale oak is "oh none of these people are very good at building" very 2015 vibes. they shouldve just given scar and bdubs a texture pack

creaking hard needs to be aligned between two pale oak logs for it to activate!! making for easy on/off switches
