Happy Tumbrl anniversary to me ahah! This is an old WIP from July 2022 i never finished because the 4th page punchline didn't work out and lost motivation. I gave it a little glow up and decided to post it at last! I hope you enjoy it!

This comic was inspired by this fun and cute Emmet vs Elesa comic @spectra-bear did! This could serve as a silly prelude to it ahah!

✨Anniversary and Follower Milestone Celebration and Giveaway!✨

A little over a year ago, I returned to my old photography blog and repurposed it to what you see today - purging all my old followers (including the sex bots 🥹) and started from scratch and now... OMIGOD?! 😭😭😭 I've recently passed a follower milestone that seems unbelievable to 1 year ago Emily who screenshot when her post got 11 notes and sent it to Mr. 604 so excited (oblivious that one of those likes was me liking on accident 😂). I love you all so dearly for visiting me and reading my silly stories - every interaction and follow has been treasured. Sometimes I still can’t believe y’alls kindness towards me 🫣🥰

At this time last year, I also started writing my first fic, which has turned into my longest running series: Safest with You. Some of you have been with me and this series since the very beginning and I couldn’t be more grateful - the first one shot, Carnival Fright Night, was posted Oct. 13/2023 and Ch. 1 followed on Nov. 10/2023. Now one full year later, we've wrapped it up with the Epilogue😭😭😭

To celebrate, I would love to do two things:

1) A Giveaway! Everything in the first pic (full description below the cut) will be sent to one lucky winner! You don’t have to follow me or have read any of my fics - all you have to do to enter is say something nice about someone in our community. 2) Nonsense Outros. The first piece of writing I ever posted wasn’t actually a fic but song lyrics 😂🤭 specifically, Sabrina Carpenter Nonsense Outros inspired by Pedro characters 😂 They are silly and challenging to write and I want to do some more! If you want, please send me an Ask with 🎶 for a character or a link to a fic (it can be yours, someone else’s if they’re ok with it, or you can request one of mine even!) - I will read it (if I haven’t already!) and write you an Outro for the PBoi in the fic/character (or try, anyways! 😁)

today is December 2, 2024.

that means this account has been here for five years.

half a decade.

WOW.

when i started this account, i was a 16-year-old high school senior needing an outlet to be weird with other weird people. my home life was incredibly stressful, but at least my dad was still alive. i was contemplating having to figure out what to do for the rest of my life, believing i might never truly be fulfilled. i hadn’t really lived yet.

now i’m 21. i’ve lived through a pandemic, graduated high school, lost my father and had to deal (or not) with the grief, moved away from everyone i’d ever known on my own, slowly started to build my own life, struggled a lot, started embracing, however hesitantly, who i am, and learned that i can in fact do what i love and be what i want to be—and what i hadn’t realized i wanted.

i’m nowhere near finished exploring.

over a thousand of you have decided to go on this journey with me, and i have no idea why you did, but i’m grateful. i love y’all dearly.

and perhaps, a bit of perspective to wrap it up: on my first day on this blog, i reblogged a photoset of maria callas as medea. today, five years to the day later, is the first day of rehearsals for a production i am in, onstage, in real life, of the euripides play.

so here’s to the next five years and all the exploration and weirdness and joy to come. and to all of you. love you. 🫶

Got a notice from Tumblr today that I changed the name of my blog from shenshen77 to obishenshenobi ten years ago today! Which means that @crazy4orcas was writing her first fic back then, ran into a snag and asked for my help.

"Help me, Obi-Shenshen-obi, you're my only hope!" I wasn't, there were so many people who loved her and were always happy to help, but it felt like a big honor to be the first person she asked. She'd been a great beta reader for my own fics, and it felt great to return the favor.

Anyway, happy birthday to Obishenshenobi, and happy remembering Kim day. My apartment is filled with little trinkets she sent me over the years, and I miss her every time I see all the little Clints and Natashas ❤️

Upcoming Tumblr-versary!

Okay, after a lot of mathing I managed to work out that February in general is a double tumblr-versary for me. I made my first post way back in February 2014 (yes, that long ago, under a different username and everything). But my first aesthetics post was February 2024 so it feels very fitting to celebrate both anniversaries.

I have a plan for said celebration and I'm quite proud of how organised I've made it. I'll be creating a mixture of aesthetics for the following fandoms week by week.

Week One: House of the Dragon (Feb 1st - Feb 7th)

Characters: Aemond and Aegon

Week Two: Interview With The Vampire (Feb 8th - Feb 14th)

Characters: Lestat and Armand

Week Three: The Last Kingdom (Feb 15th - Feb 21st)

Characters: Osferth and Sihtric

Week Four: The Rings of Power (Feb 22nd - Feb 28th)

Characters: Sauron (and other forms) and Adar (both actors)

There will be themes I use for all fandoms over the weeks, but I'll try and make some slightly different content specific to that fandom for some variety!

But if you have something for a fandom you want to see aesthetics wise, let me know and I'll do my damndest!

Today is my 2nd anniversary on Tumbrl! Yippie!!🎉🎉

I am still not a very natural Tumbrl citizen and I have a massive project sitting here: reblogging and tagging all your awesome submas works I've enjoyed!! I even have a separate account for reblogging too but you know the bad habit of scrolling too fast? I want to change that and give more love for your hard work and cool ideas!!
