This is my TWST MC OC, the references shown here have some really basic information about her. There's also two versions for the measurement information cause I couldn't choose between measuring her heigh in cm or feet lol.

Secretly knows everyone and a large majority of NRC is based off of various Disney properties and villains, but doesn't say anything to humour everyone.

Hums some of the various Disney villain songs she knows whenever something comes up that vaguely reminds her of them (e.g. Azul saying "How poor and unfortunate for you" before a fight, Aster then humming Poor Unfortunate Souls. This is my way of visualizing the say the line Bart meme in this context.)

Does want to go home, but doesn't think Crowley is genuine in his "research", so often she tries to do some research herself whenever she can while still going to classes and dealing with Grim, other dorms, and housewardens at Crowley's request.

Tries desperately to clean the Ramshackle Dorm, but is in a constant state of wonder over why the fuck there hasn't been any cleaning progress.

Genuinely enjoys the company of many of the other students within NRC (and that does include Grim, even if she seems constantly done with his shit.)

Doesn't curse because this is an obvious Disney property world to Aster, however she will say "fuck" at least once.

She has NOT gotten a good night's sleep at all since arriving to the land of Twisted Wonderland.

Is honestly kind of unsure whether or not the interactions she has with Malleus are real or dreams.

When she gets knocked out at the spelldrive tournament, that's when she was able to get the best sleep she ever got since arriving to the land. It's also around then that she truly comes to terms with and accepts the fact that she is very much not in America anymore and is not dreaming for a really, really long time.

While it's not a good night's sleep, on nights Aster meets up with Malleus, she finds herself sleeping better than the previous nights.

During Book 2, Aster was incredibly frustrated because she had an idea of who was causing the accidents based off of the context clues of the fact that Ruggie already demonstrated his signature spell earlier, but if she voiced her thoughts to her idiots they probably wouldn't take her seriously until they came to the realization too.

Likes to "annoy" the housewardens of Heartslabyul and Octavinelle

With Riddle, she'll break some (many) of those arbitrary rules that no person in the waking world would ever follow. She likes to see how frustrated he gets. Also wants to help him chill out regarding the strict enforcement of those rules. (What's he gonna do? Cut off her non-existent magic?)

Gets really good grades to make up for it though for Riddle, like she's a consistently straight A student.

With Azul, she likes to go to the Mostro Lounge and purchase the cheapest item there, and then loiters as a paying customer for WAY too long to see what happens in an attempt to spend time with the octatrio, especially Azul.

Would call Azul "baby girl" in the middle of the Mostro Lounge during busy hours, for fun.

She makes up for it by pledging an unknown day in the future to work for the Mostro Lounge, unpaid. (Aster accumulates many of these future unknown days, lol.)

Aster, Grim, Ace, and Deuce are like besties. Frequently bought together, do not separate type beat.

Tried helping Ace and Deuce with studying once (1) to prevent another Book 3 situation, is not cut out for it.

Due to her friendship with Ace and Deuce, Aster is constantly visiting Heartslabyul. As such, she chooses to spend time when not with her idiots annoying Riddle.

Doesn't spend too much time with Trey since he looks like he's usually busy himself, but sometimes she tries to get him to teach her how to bake with the agreement that she'll help him and the dorm with some of the unbirthday parties.

Cater she's glad to take selfies and photos with him. Loves his vibe, but also hopes he's okay.

Getting a suspicion this book isn't very good

Lightlark3 is somehow. How do I put this. Worse. The prose is really, really bad, and Aster operates on a baseline of having 'pretty bad prose'

Gee, I wonder if writing and releasing skyshade, plus writing her new adult book, plus a new bonus lightlark book and the 4th due next year... might be resulting in even less editing?

Yuu

17 years old, 1st year

They/them, probably on the aro/ace spectrum though they never really thought about it (they do get weird when people show interest in them)

Half Japanese half french

Probably has some flavor of AuDHD

Back home: Before they were kidnapped forcefully moved to Twisted Wonderland, they were the main caretaker of four younger siblings while their parents were busy working. One of their main worry now is whether their siblings are doing alright without them. Their deepest wish is to at least be able to phone call their family to reassure them that they are ok.

Personality: They usually prefer to stand to the side and observe rather than talk and engage with others. They tend to be very prudent with their actions, up until their patience runs out. They're actually pretty perceptive and great at reading others, they just keep everything to themself without realizing.

They make up their absence of magic with their fists and wits. People tend to underestimate them due to their size and quiet demeanor, but they can be vicious and ruthless when push comes to shove. They are not very expressive physically.

At school: Yuu has a terrible focus so they struggle a lot, even when the subject interests them. They are very fond of History of Magic but also hates it because learning a whole world's history in a few months only is a nightmare and a half. They also hate flying with a passion since they are scared of heights. If they could choose a club, Yuu would go for photography and/or filming.

At Ramshackle: Yuu cleans the dorm as a past time, it keeps their body moving while they're thinking about what problem they currently have. They hate cooking though, so when the cafeteria isn't accessible they try to cram themselves in whichever dorm will have them to enjoy someone else's cooking. They aren't very time savvy so they and Grim keep leaving late in the mornings.

Relationships (with Housewardens/OB)

Yuu has a soft spot for Riddle. Unless it's some rule they find completely nonsensical they tend to do whatever Riddle asks. Whenever Yuu comes to class with a clean uniform, it's because Riddle was around to correct their appearance.

Yuu and Leona's relationship is peak siblinghood. Once Yuu figures out that Leona won't act on (half of) his threats, it's over for him. He's one of the first Yuu comes to when they have a problem.

Yuu and Azul regularly try to outsmart each other. At first their interest with Azul is very transactional since he can help with everything Crowley can't be bothered to do (ie give Yuu an actual legal presence in this world) but since they have somewhat similar mindsets they end up getting along very well.

Yuu values Kalim's presence a lot. He's one of the rare pure hearted people at school so Yuu doesn't have to be hyper vigilant around him. It's a breath of fresh air. He is a bit too active for Yuu though, so they tire very fast around him.

"It takes one liar to know another" would be Jamil and Yuu's relationship starter. They had weird vibes from each other from the very start but Jamil did end up underestimating Yuu. Yuu is obsessed with Jamil's hair and regularly takes pictures of him.

Yuu is kinda scared of Vil (in a good way). If they were a tad more outgoing they'd be asking Vil to pose for their camera 24/7. Instead they quietly worship him.

If Yuu could, they'd adopt Idia (and Ortho). Yuu tends to miss their siblings all the time so they get a bit emotional around them both.

Yuu loves to observe Malleus. He's some kind of very strange entity that they can't get enough of and they don't understand half of what he talks about which tickles their curiosity a lot.

Yuu treats Grim like their own cat and plushie. They hold him in their arm as much as possible (until Grim gets tired of it and wanders off somewhere else) because it reassures them. They do fight a lot, a bit like siblings, but they also look out for the other all the time. Yuu sometimes agree to cook for Grim despite hating it.

Relationships (the less fun kind):

Since they're in a world they don't know with students who try to kill them every couple months, Yuu is very defensive in how they approach relationships. Everything starts as transactional and about how "useful" someone can be to keep around. They try to keep even the people they don't really get along with close for this reason.

They are actually very emotional (despite not showing it) so their heart takes precedence over their brain eventually. Despite not being particularly proactive they do go out of their way to help the ones they're close to.

Not a hot take but a genuine question I need to know if I'm crazy for? Did early 2000's cartoons learn that Egypt is in Africa and decided every black character needed to have some connection to Egypt instead of the many other countries in Africa???

There was a snap cold that night and Nate Mooney had asked me to help him with some carpentry quite late. I always rode in a helmet, T-shirt and jeans, but the cold made me put on this kevlar jacket that came with the bike. I’d never worn it before. It was so cold that I even put on a pair of jeans on top of my jeans. I’d never done that before either. I woke up a day later in the ER. Some guy flipped me on the freeway and left me convulsing in traffic. A kind stranger pulled me out of a truck’s way. The cops said if I wasn’t wearing the jacket, my arm would’ve been torn off. Even with the kevlar, my clavicle was still pulverised into several pieces. It’s made of titanium now. The top layer of jeans were gone and the bottom ones were shredded. I was immobilized for a year. Luckily, I’d already planned to live with my pal James Rodriguez for a year before the accident, and he helped me through it like a brother. 

In what way has the accident impacted your passion for motorcycles and adventure? It helped me see when there’s too much chaos surrounding my risk. Motorcycles will forever be one of my favourite physical pleasures, but LA freeways are filled with people on their phones and checking themselves in the mirror. It’s not worth it to ride there, to me at least. James and I were skydiving from 18.000 feet a year later, so I’m always up for adventures.

wait ok so they're dead. they're dead as hell. yeah they die a second time but let's ignore that. so do dead people need to eat? in year 2 when glottis is watching the cat race and you lock the waiter in the pantry you can hear him say "I'm thirsty" implying that he needs to drink in order to survive (I know he's a demon and not a dead human but bear with me), not to mention naranja drinking while getting a tattoo, and the multiple restaurants/bars filled with dead people implies that they need to at least drink in order to survive but in year one when you reach rubacava you can examine the ketchup and mustard bottles in the restaurant and Manny calls them condiments. Not drinks, condiments. I know they are not putting ketchup and mustard as milkshake toppings because that tastes disgusting. Plus he says that the car has tons of little packets of them. Packets, like at McDonald's or Wendy's. Why do the dead people need to eat to survive
