i still get emails from credit karma telling my mother how her credit score has improved-or decayed-it seems January was the worst month so far-she lost fifteen points a year and a half after she'd been reduced to ash

still i feel almost grateful that someone or several someones are unaware that she is dead and they wish her the best

The queen was close in age to my mum (who have been 92). The both had #gumption ! Today's mail. ❤️ A cardinal feather from a friend. "I was told to send this to you today." • • Cardinals have been a consistent and welcome sign from the other side, a sign from my husband to say, "I'm here." 18+ months of cardinal signs; they still catch me by surprise, still inspire awe, and so much gratitude and love. This one arrived (as they tend to do) just when I've not been doing so great. Have been feeling particularly low lately in all ways - physically, mentally, and emotionally. Feeling alone and just - done. Like I want to just go in full-on hermit mode and stop trying so hard. So - his way to say, "Hang in there. I'm still here." AND - he could've just left it somewhere for me. He didn't; he sent it via messenger. "You're not alone." • • Times are hard for everyone. We all struggle, have low moments. This is particularly the time to look for signs. They're there.
