1. Well, for little brand it was very easy to say Greg so that's the way it stayed between them. But in any other place he goes by Marshall
2. No. Brend is in love head over heels with Robert. And Robert is also head over heels with Brend
Brend's Brother
Greg (Benedict Arthur Gregory David Jackson)
-7 years older than Brend (50 of age)
- took care of brend when they were children
-thinks of Brenda like his little reckless brother
-he knew from the first time he saw Robert that his brother was in love with him
-he works for CIA, FBI and SWAT
- he paid and pays for everything Brend has, had, wanted and wants (brend just keeps his money and saves them [this is important for what he wants to do in the future with Robert])
HOW COME HE GOES BY GREG AND NOT ANY OTHER NAME??
woah wait…. is this love one-sided?? between robert and brend 😨

JONATHAN AND GN!READER AND THEIR ANTICS !!!!!!!
Antics w/ Jonathan and Reader!
I did a similar post yesterday!! (Linked at the end, hopefully, I'm mobile and sometimes tumblr can be weird)
I'm so so sorry it took my so long to get this request <\\3 I was trying to come up with new ideas so it could be different than the other ask <\3, which I highly recommend checking out! Imma be real I'm not totally confident in how this one turned out so that second post can be like an extra/make up <\3
I wasnt sure if you wanted this to be platonic or have them dating so!! It's mostly written as vague in that department!!
Jonathan doesn't strike me as the person who goes out and does things a lot
Just. Wake up, work, home, sleep, repeat.. he'll sometimes send texts to friends and family to schedule a lunch here and there but
That's about it, hes not very social
So a lot of these antics are really going to be made through you making the plans; with the shenanigans really being unplanned byproducts
Honestly I can totally see Jonathan starting shit with someone, be it accident or on purpose, prompting both of yall having to hightail it out of the area
Reminds me of that part from one of the diary of a wimpy kid movies, where greg n rodrick do that fake puke prank on the guy and have to make a run for it
Actually I can totally see yall subtly being menaces and fucking with people
Maybe not a fake puke prank persay but
Yk?
No crime stuff; I only really see that becoming a thing after he becomes Spot! Both from how he worded his whole "turning to a life of crime" thing and the fact he just
Lacks the experience and confidence
Moving on
Maybe it's just my "let's get silly with the writing" part of me, or it's my need for chaos (arguably the same thing), but
I feel like
Somehow, you guys would accidentally probably maybe kinda sorta
Wreak havoc in ways spot could only dream of (before doing the whole. Bouncing across the multiverse thing)
Yall could probably start the day wanting to go to some food truck and
End it by spending a night in jail
Neither of you are allowed anywhere near food trucks after that /j
No but serious note, Jonathan is basically a hermit, he doesnt like leaving his apartment unless he has to; people are just, so
Eeuuughchk!
So when you two hang out it's either his place or yours
But that's not to say it isnt fun!
Hes got normal stuff people have in their homes, like board games and consoles
And also science doohickies
Yeah people have that in their houses, that's a normal thing
Ngl if you give him any ideas for machines or whatnot hes totally going to give it a try
See previous post with a trans s/o, he would make the transgenderinator if you asked him to
Well now hes just turning into doof
Ykw
I feel like he'd take you to alchemax to show off stuff but like
If you asked nicely
How can he say no to that face?
And also he has no backbone
That's not to say you would pressure him, though! Because that's not cool, dont pressure people. But like, he would cave in the way of "I know it's not that serious and I know they'll probably understand if I say no, but I don't want to ever risk disappointing them ever in my life, so I'm gonna say yes!" Kind of way
He just like me frfr
And this is assuming you even know about alchemax
Which personally, unless you're in some way associated with it, I'm p sure be would have a strong boundary to keep you out of it
This is really just turning into a general ramble <\3
Anyways
I dont have many ideas since I struggle with general hcs like this but!! Yeah!! Definitely recommend the linked post for a better more cohesive (?) List of ideas and hcs!! This post kinda
Made me realize I dont have many hcs for Jonathan outside of making his personality a smart pathetic science man
Gotta fix that , give him some hobbies n stuff in the future
Link to a similar post!

Dialing In to Fox News, Trump Offers a Rambling Rebuttal to Harris’s Speech
The network ended the live interview after 10 minutes. Beeps could be heard as the former president seemed to accidentally press the buttons on the keypad of his phone.
NY Times: By Michael M. Grynbaum and Michael Gold
Michael Grynbaum reported from Chicago. Michael Gold reported from Tucson, Ariz.
Aug. 23, 2024
Former President Donald J. Trump was watching television on Thursday night and he did not like what he saw.
His Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, and her allies were accusing him of groveling to dictators, imperiling democracy, and betraying American values.
So Mr. Trump picked up the telephone and called Fox News. The network patched him in to its live coverage of the Democratic convention — moments after Ms. Harris had deemed him, in her speech, “an unserious man” — and the former president proceeded to issue a meandering, stream-of-consciousness rebuttal.
Several times, the Fox anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum tried to interject to ask a question. Several times, Mr. Trump ignored them. “Mr. President, let me interrupt,” Mr. Baier pleaded at one point. Mr. Trump kept talking.
The call-in — which lasted for 10 minutes, until Fox News informed Mr. Trump that the network had run out of time — was hastily arranged. Network producers confirmed the interview less than a half-hour before Ms. Harris began her prime-time remarks.
Still, Mr. Trump did not want to wait until after the speech to weigh in. While Ms. Harris was speaking, he took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to provide real-time commentary.
His posts there, capitalized in a haphazard manner, were less directed at her specific remarks than at broader complaints about issues that Mr. Trump wants to keep the focus on: crime, immigration and the economy.
At times, he digressed.
“WHERE’S HUNTER?” Mr. Trump asked as Ms. Harris came onstage, reviving one of his favorite slogans about the son of President Biden, who withdrew his candidacy weeks ago.
At one point, referring to Ms. Harris, Mr. Trump asked, in all capital letters, “Is she talking about me?” (She was, often.)
Mr. Trump also accused Ms. Harris’s running mate, Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota, of puffing up his résumé as a leader of a high school football team. “Walz was an ASSISTANT Coach, not a COACH,” he wrote.
A few minutes later, on Fox News, Mr. Trump argued that Ms. Harris had not accomplished much during her tenure as vice president.
“All of these things that she talked about — ‘We are going to do this, we are going to do that, we are going to do everything’ — but she didn’t do any of it!” Mr. Trump said on the air, complaining that “she didn’t talk about China, she didn’t talk about fracking, she didn’t talk about crime.”
His one concession? The Democrats’ convention hall. “It was a nice-looking room,” he said.
When Ms. MacCallum observed, accurately, that Ms. Harris was “having some success” with women, Hispanic and Black voters, Mr. Trump objected. “She’s not having success; I’m having success,” he said. “I’m doing great with the Hispanic voters, doing great with Black men, I’m doing great with women.”
“It’s only in your eyes that they have that, Martha,” he added. “We are doing very well.”
At several points during the call, a familiar beeping sound interrupted Mr. Trump’s remarks. It appeared that the former president was accidentally pressing buttons on the keypad of his phone.
Finally, while Mr. Trump was still midsentence, Mr. Baier moved to end the interview and thanked his guest for his time: “We appreciate that live feedback.”
The network immediately shifted to an episode of its late-night comedy program, “Gutfeld!”
The host, Greg Gutfeld, looked bemused. “That wasn’t my fault, Donald Trump,” he said, speaking to the president through the TV.
“He’s still talking, by the way,” Mr. Gutfeld joked.

observed tags of prev so I thought I’d explain a few reasonings !!! (under cut)
Greg as SS was because of Rodya as Snowman, I think it would be funny in a Mirror World/AU if they had a dynamic… albeit a pretty different one. (im a bit biased because I like Rodigor OOPS) but Heath could work as well! I see it … yess
I’m glad my delusions/j about Yi Sang Die are being fulfilled… I did want to give him that initially but I also didn’t want to leave Sinclair out (unfortunate). If you know anything about my intermission posting you will know that im a huge Crowdie enjoyer, and I also tend to dabble in Outis/Yi Sang because I the dynamic. As I said above I get biased because of ships I enjoy but perhaps I could let it overtake me… since I already did it with SS lol
On Doc Scrach Faust, I 100% am with that idea, but I felt (teehee) that it would be more fitting/interesting as an EGO. Especially where the corroding form is half Lord English trying to burst out. Strictly AU speaking though, absolutely!
I did Matchsticks Ryoshu because I recently cleared MD4 with her like… singular burn ID. But DD makes A LOT of sense. Thank you for showing me the light
I kind of made this whole thing with the idea of a fake Mirror World ID thing, but those are also really just AUs. One day I will draw these .
ok ramble over !!! Byeby
non-art post But do you guys see the vision. There are at least 2 LCB/Homestuck fans that I know exist in the world but I need to know if I am heard elsewhere ALSO pretend that Hong Lu is Clover and Don is Clubs <3
#non art post#tool whatever tag#too be honest…#im kind of glad prev saw this#like a homestuck AND project moon fan#perfect storm really. i am one of those#anyways. that’s all.#thanks for reading?? if you did#homestuck intermission#limbus company

How about Shells with Mel and Fabio, Noodles with Alto and April, Reverse Fishies! with Peko and Pluck, Plunge with Carol and James, Flames with Kyosuke and Emma or Reverse OUCH with Forte and Greg
Beach Pool ask
SHELLS] - sender shows off all the shells they’ve collected to the receiver
Shells were the most fascinating thing for Fabio since he got to the beach cause he was already planning to use them in his usual bracelets and necklaces he made for others... so him and Melanie looked around to find some.. as he was then distracted by crabs she came back showing of many in different colors... he looked at them individually and then turned back to Mel with something he made quickly...
“Look this would look pretty on you.”
He put it around her neck and smiled lightly... pink seashells with pearls... fitting well with her...
“It still needs some things... I should overwork it.”
“Its fine Fabio, I like it quite a lot. Thank you.”
Fabio smiled at her bright, his ears twitching in happiness, he put the rest of the seashells in a bag.
“With this... I am sure I can do quite a lot for everyone... thanks for helping me Miss Mel.”
Looking at Fabio smile at her like that she got a bit red and looked away.
[NOODLES] - our muses use pool noodles like horses and have a water race
“Oh hell no Alto, your not gonna beat me.”
“You betcha I will.”
It was quite the chaotic sight. Especially cause April challenged Alto and they both occupy the pool sweeping anyone in their way to the side so they can win against each other...Although it was just with pool noodles still they managed to stir up enough, Gregs laughther being heard from one corner of the pool.
In the end Alto did win against her but April sat next to her pouty.
“Its just cause in my homeland I could barely swim... I train and next time I beat you.”
“I would like to see you try.”
Both started laughing looking at the messes they left behind...
[FISHIES!] - sender excitedly points out aquatic life to receiver from their boat
As Pluck invited Peko to a boat ride, she thought she get some rest and look at the water but instead she had Pluck sitting next to her rambling the whole time about different fishes and creatures and what they do.
“Oh this one is supposed to be tasty however also hard to catch... and that is a jellyfish that could kill whales....”
“Plucky...I know this is interesting to you but... I want to nap... you can ramble but would it be fine if I use you as pillow.”
He got red and nodded.
“Anything for you Peko-sama of course.”
At least although he was sad she wasn’t interested in it, feeling her lean against him sleeping was adorable to watch and made his head just happy in thoughts.
[PLUNGE] - sender scoops up the receiver in their arms and jumps into the water
While watching that Melanie and Fabio were busy with the Shells she went back and laid down on the towel. James was still changing somewhere so he could also swim but as she looked up into the sky he suddenly looked over her and smiled... however she noticed that he had something planned as he swooped her off her feet...
“J-James what are you-”
And so he walked with her to the water and jumped in... her trying to quickly take a breath..
“Geez you could have just told me you wanted to swim with me.”
“Couldn’t help it... seemed more fun this way.”
She lightly entertwined her fingers with his and kissed him...
“Its at least never boring with you. So wanna have a small race?”
“Sure, don’t expect to win.”
And so they swam around a little untill Carol got a bit exhausted and rested near a rock... mainly cause of her still not having the highest stamina... He stopped for her and leaned a bit against her...
“I am sure Melanie and Fabio can wait a little for us... wanna rest a little.”
“Hmm-mhh... would you come a bit closer?” She opened her arms a little.
He held her close and so they both still relaxed a little together, hugging each other lightly.
________________________________________________________
[FLAMES] - our muses relax by a fire after a day at the beach/in the pool
Emma was in all pretty active during the pool party so as the bonfire was set she rested a little close to Kyosuke leaning her head on him while roasting some beef over the fire...
“Hey... Kyosuke... do you think that one day I'll be free... free of people's expectations."
"If you want to be free... you would have to stop your career..."
"True... maybe im some years cause... I still do want to give my Fans some things to remember me by."
"Whatever you decide I will stand with you."
[OUCH] - sender applies aloe vera to receiver’s sunburns
"Ack fuck... that hurt..."
Gregory was a as usual not thinking much and took a sunburn onto him... Forte noticed it and as she put a hand on his shoulder he yelled out in pain...
So as they got back she asked him to sit down.
"Take your shirt off and let me treat you, ok Greg?"
"Anything to make this pain better and I will love ya even more than I already do."
He smirked and took off his Shirt... it was nothing special given he often just walked around shirtless but... this way she could apply some things to his whole body... she managed to do it but just for Greg to pull her quickly into a kiss.
"Thanks babe. "

A recent publication in The Urban Review journal has come to our attention. The journal presents itself as one that deals with “Issues and Ideas in Education,” so it was surprising to see their publication of the article entitled, “Early Pioneers of the Americas: The Role of the Olmecs in Urban Education and Social Studies Curriculum’’ by Greg Wiggan, Annette Teasdell, Marcia J. Watson‑Vandiver, and Sheikia Talley‑Matthews. In their article, Wiggan et al peddle the long discredited notion that the Olmec were not indigenous Americans, but rather that they were black Africans who traversed the Atlantic Ocean millennia before Christopher Columbus. There are variations on the hypothesis, but the general idea is that Africans established (or helped establish) one of the oldest major civilizations in the Americas, the Olmec, which scholars credit as being a major inspiration for the Mesoamerican Indigenous cultures that followed. What we find surprising is that a publication that purports to be educational would publish an article that advocates the introduction of “Black Olmec” curriculum in schools.
Teaching the baseles and erroneous claim that the Olmec were black Africans is just as colonialist as the Eurocentric model that Afrocentrists rail against. Such claims regarding the Olmec are the result of outdated racial worldviews held by early European writers, many of whom never set foot in the Americas, combined with the Afrocentric ramblings of pseudoscholars such as Ivan Van Sertima and Clyde Winters, none of who are Mesoamerican specialists. The idea of “Black Olmecs” is rooted in pseudohistorical revisionism and is not accepted by legitimate Mesoamerican scholars. It should be made clear that no archaeological, faunal, floral, genetic, or historical evidence exists to support the myth of “Black Olmecs.” In fact, scholars such as Gabriel Haslip-Viera, Warren Barbour, and Bernard Ortiz de Montellano have published extensive research refuting Van Sertima and the myth of “Black Olmecs.”
Proponents of this myth base their conclusions on superficial interpretations of the famous Olmec heads of Veracruz. These statues, they claim, bear physiognomic resemblance to Africans solely based on their broad noses and thick lips. The fact that the statues also resemble Mexico’s Indigenous people (along with the fact that broad noses and thick lips are not solely black African characteristics) is simply ignored. If these assertions were being made in the reverse by white authors about black African culture, those people would rightfully be castigated for their racist interpretations. Somehow, when it comes to Native Americans, especially if they are ancient and mysterious enough, it is okay to make outlandish claims. The long running pseudohistorical television program about ancient aliens and ancient peoples is in this same vein.
Sadly, with this proposition, what the adherents of this unfounded thesis assert is that Indigenous peoples of the Americas received their foundational culture from black Africans, a belief that effectively robs Native Americans of their cultural patrimony. In fact, most of what Wiggan et al state in their piece does not support their claim, which they themselves admit is mostly “suggestive.” That is not how positive claims work; you must have actual facts and not just quotes from secondary sources posing as facts in order to make your case. The entire article is riddled with questionable “sources” that the authors lean on as primary evidence; however, upon closer examination, the cited “evidence” are actually quotes from secondary sources that are misinterpreted, noted as suggestive, or have been revealed to be incorrect.
It would take an article length paper to properly demonstrate the numerous errors made by Wiggan et al but let us explore at least one — the extensive use of secondary sources as primary sources. For example, here the authors quote Van Sertima: “[The] African presence in the Olmec world demonstrated that the African first entered the Western Hemisphere not as chattels, not as property, not as merchandise, not as enslaved people, but as masters in control of their own destinies” (pg 4). They follow that quote with this statement: “In spite of the above evidence, education and curriculum development literature are generally silent on the Olmecs” (pg 5). What evidence are they referring to; that Van Sertima made a claim linking Africans to Olmecs? It seems extremely odd to have to say this about an article published in a (peer-reviewed?) journal, but opinions are not facts and therefore not evidence. Simply quoting the opinions of another author does not make that a supporting fact. You must follow up with actual evidence, and that is a key missing element in this entire piece.
Now let us consider some of their sources. The authors that Wiggan et al chose to rely on are highly questionable. For instance, Ivan Van Sertima (as mentioned above) was soundly refuted in the 1990s by Montellano et al. Sertima’s predecessor, Harold G. Lawrence — who kickstarted the modern iteration of the Black Olmec hypothesis — had no advanced training in archeology or history, and in fact, his influential piece, “African explorers of the New World” (1962, The Crisis) introduces him as belonging to a group from Detroit, Michigan called The Association for the Study of Negro Life and History. Apparently that is enough to make him a credible source on the prehistory of Native Americans. And finally, they cite Anu M’Bantu, a British-born photo-journalist who also does not have advanced training in Mesoamerican Indigenous societies. M’Bantu has written several self-published books with curious titles, such as The Ancient Black Hebrews and Arabs (2013) and The Black Kings of Europe (2019). Sources can either make or break a thesis, and the ones in question here are the kind that usually get flagged during peer-review.
We certainly agree that the history and legacy of African peoples in the Americas is still not sufficiently taught in schools, but we do children a disservice by advancing opinions as “facts.” Promoting the idea that the Olmec were black is more than simply poor scholarship, it is an erasure of the accomplishments of Indigenous Mexicans. Africa and Mexico are both home to fascinating civilizations, each with their own advancements in technology, linguistics, agriculture, and science. When we embrace the pseudohistory of “Black Olmecs,” we trivialize and marginalize the legacies of both Africans and Indigenous Mexicans.
Thus, in light of this major oversight, we ask that the The Urban Review journal retract the article by Wiggan et al and discontinue its promotion of “Black Olmecs.” As long-time ethnic studies researchers and educators ourselves, we would prefer to see accurate and far more meaningful scholarship that explores better ways of advancing education among urban youth. Certainly, we can recognize the heritage of Africans and African Americans — as well as that of Afro-Mexicans — without promoting a distorted, colonialist, and fanciful version of history. In the words of Van Sertima himself: “You cannot really conceive how insulting it is to Native Americans to be told they were discovered” (pg 21). We agree with Sertima on that point, but we would further add that it is just as equally insulting to be told that someone else gave your ancestors their culture. You cannot counter colonialist thought with colonialist pedagogy.
Sincerely, Kurly Tlapoyawa, Supervisory Archaeologist Ruben A. Arellano (Tlakatekatl), History Ph.D.
The Chimalli Institute of Mesoamerican Arts
