Chai (Professor Arash Shirazi x Reader)
Woow! Made a drabble which will start a longer Arash Shirazi x female reader fic. Hope you enjoy!
Safe for work, at least for now, a bit romantic. 960+ words.
Summary: Professor Shirazi is hiding from the world only to be joined by the reader, who quietly makes some tea for both of them.
Shirazi didn’t appreciate the attitude many of his students had, especially towards him and the social studies he taught. Even with the common saying “those who do not know the history are doomed to repeat it”, there were maybe a couple of students truly interested in the subject, and he couldn’t care less if others might repeat the mistakes of the past. He was trying to prevent it, but he was not the person to stop them, to hell with that. To Shirazi, he was a scholar first and a babysitter last, yet here he was, looking after almost-adult witches who lacked the maturity to take their studies seriously enough to actually fully realise the importance of their studies, and the importance of history.
But at the same time, Shirazi understood the difficulty of doing the right thing, just as he knew he was running away from problems. This time it was a small one, just wishing to be alone and not answer stupid questions from those who had skipped half of the classes and those who already knew the answers but were unsure of themselves. He was not there to give a lecture about attendance and even less about confidence; he taught history since Coven did not allow anything more creative. Maybe it was to remind himself of the structures in place, because like history, he couldn’t change them.
It all brought him to the greenhouse, a small nook in the corner, surrounded by large vines coming down from hanging baskets. A place he usually didn’t come to, probably very few walked through since the flora there didn’t need that much attention, but it was good for his occasional disappearances. Too often and someone might notice the pattern, even if unlikely, but now was a moment when he needed to disappear for a few hours, maybe the rest of the day. Just him with a book or a notebook, depending on his mood. When calm, he would engross himself in a book, but when stressed or just on edge, he would scribble in a notebook mostly used for lesson plans and notes.
What he didn’t expect or want was any company, yet you appeared with a bag on your shoulder, brushing away the hanging vines and stepping into the small pocket plane of serenity hidden in the realm of mundane. As soon as you realised you were looking at Shirazi sitting where you usually spend your evenings, you almost wanted to excuse yourself, but he was quicker with his words.
“I should leave,” Shirazi said, getting ready to leave.
“Oh no, no, no need to,” you said, shaking your hands in an attempt to convey your message, “Please just stay, I’m just here to drink my tea and then I’ll leave. I just wish to be quietly away from… everything, for a bit.”
Shirazi just stared at you, pondering his response, which was just a nod. If you just wanted to drink your tea and be quiet, you could both stay here, even if it was a bit awkward at first, as you had to move a small table to be in front of the garden bench, between the two of you. The bench was for three, so you could sit on the other side of it comfortably while Shirazi had the other half. He was back to reading his book while you carefully opened your bag to take the Turkish teapot, which consisted of two pots, one smaller on the top and a larger one on the bottom, and set it on the table. Next was water, pouring it in both pots and tea leaves in the top pot, and setting it to boil over a flame. After the water boiled, you dimmed the flame, letting there be a small ember to keep the water warm. While the water was boiling, two small tea cups were set on the table next to a small heart shaped tin with sugar cubes.
While he didn’t want to pay attention to what you were doing, just the fresh smell of tea leaves and clinging of old copper, the many steps you took just to make tea the way you wanted, it all reminded Shirazi of something he wasn’t even sure ever existed. He remembered clearly how many cups of tea were made back home when he was young, the two or three sugar cubes he put in his glass before drinking it. The process his mother took to make the tea was different, yet the way you made it took him straight back to childhood, even if later in the night he tried to tell himself he was just creating false memories from mixing something up. Still, he kept watching, having lifted his gaze unknowingly from the book and just watching your every move. You didn’t mind, you were proud of the art of tea making, this was only one of the ways to brew black tea, and having someone else so intrigued by the relatively simple Turkish tea and tea set made you happy. So you took the small pot from the top, poured strong, dark tea in one cup, then pouring water from the bigger pot to adjust the taste, and then asked with a smile:
“A cup of chai?”
The question was more a statement than a question, but intriguing enough for Shirazi to clearly say Thank you”, making your heart skip a beat. At the same time he wondered if this was the proper thing to do, especially when the smile you gave him was so sincere and compassionate he thought he saw a vision of his own desire for you reflected on the reddish tea you were serving him with your soft hand, gently holding the tea cup, just for him.

Wow
!modern au!
pairing: Sokka x Zuko
summary: The two young men went out but they had very different perceptions of what the night was. Eventually Sokka just had to show him instead of the hints.
a/n: so I’m aware that this is clunky but I think that it’s super duper cute. This is also the first MLM fic that I’ve posted (though not the first one I’ve written) so I’m not sure if my writing from a man’s pov in a longer format is the best, as I’m constantly learning. If you have any tips on writing for different types of characters and embodying them I’d love to hear them! That Zuko fic that I mentioned in the last post is still in the works as well as a Julian Devorak fic, a Arash Shirazi fic, and another Sokka fic. I’m slowly getting them done but they’re on the longer side so I won’t be pumping them out one right after the other. They are coming though!
He really didn’t want to think it was a date, they were just two buddies hanging out! Buddies go out to get dinner at one of their shared favorite Mexican restaurant, definitely. And buddies always go and take a long walk back to one of their places that’s only a few blocks away! And buddies definitely give the other stolen glances and shy smiles! They are one hundred percent not on a date! They were just hanging out like good buddies do! Well, that’s what Zuko told himself while he walked beside Sokka, not confident enough to start a conversation again. He had about a million questions like, do you miss home? Have you talked to your dad recently? How’s your family's business? Would you ever want to go back to the south? What was it like growing up in the south? Why do you enjoy that restaurant in particular so much? Is there a specific reason you always double check your locks the same way every time? What made you get in cars? Totally normal questions to ask your buddy, right?
“You good over there?” Sokka elbowed him in the ribs gently, a grin on his face, an eyebrow raised. Apparently he must’ve said it once or twice, but Zuko hadn’t noticed until now. “Yea? Why?” He gave him a look that bordered on annoyance and he sighed. In response Sokka just shook his head with pursed lips. “Jus’ looked like you had something on your mind, ‘s all.” He shrugged and gave him a dubious look. “Really?” Zuko shrugged again and looked down at the sidewalk. “Oh, it’s nothing.”
“Well if you were thinking about it so hard ‘s obviously something to you.” He elbowed him again, the corners of his mouth downturning slightly, a ghost of a frown forming in his lips. Zuko shrugged again, hands in his pockets. He was shrugging a lot but he didn’t have the words to say anything meaningful. But still he tried to convince Sokka as best he could that he was, in fact, fine. “It’s really not. Trust me, just a stupid thought.” Sokka shook his head. “Ya know you can talk to me. ‘S not like I’m gonna judge you or some shit. Especially if ’s about your family.” That made Zuko’s heart clench. As much as he wanted to believe that, a part of him wouldn’t let him. He could barely open up to his own uncle, or even Katara, much less anyone else. It seemed impossible to trust somebody that wasn’t Mai. Sure, Sokka was easy to talk to, and he was a good listener, he gave great advice, and he never seemed to judge him. But there was one thing he didn’t think he could ever tell him, well, aside from everything else. Only Mai knew about this one secret well unless she’d gone and told Ty Lee.
It had been on his mind almost all night, but he tried his best to hide it. He didn’t want Sokka thinking he was intentionally not paying attention, or that he was just in his head over nothing at all or something way too serious to even say out loud. He was very self-conscious about it, he wasn’t sure why though. Maybe he wanted to just seem normal to him? After all, Sokka was one of his first guy friends, well a good one at least. Usually the other guys he used to hang out with, well they weren’t actually his friends. He just hung out with them because of the circumstances. But with Sokka, he was truly his friend. And what if this one secret would ruin that whole thing? They had a good thing going, two best friends. What more could he want? Well, a lot more apparently. He internally cringed and kept on keeping on.
“I know, but I don’t wanna waste your time with something insignificant, ya know? It’s really not important, but if it was I promise I’d tell you.” He gave Sokka a grin and once again Sokka shot back a dubious nod. That was one of the things he liked about Sokka, but also something he absolutely hated. Sokka was so cynical, and on good days it only annoyed him mildly. Usually he could never get away with something for long, Sokka was usually always one step ahead of him in his own head. He was smart, calculating, and somehow he always knew whenever he was lying. He was like a human lie detector and he both loved and hated that about him too. “Well, if you’re sure.” He narrowed his eyes slightly, kinda like he was looking for a tell. With that, Zuko once again looked back at the sidewalk. It was very interesting, obviously.
Of course, he had no idea Sokka was under the impression that it was a date. After all, he did his best to get off work, he had to cancel plans, and he was even planning on paying his way, but of course Zuko threw that right out the window when he asked to split the bill. He left no room for argument and Sokka was sure if he even tried he would’ve been shut down immediately anyways. Zuko was a proud man, and Sokka was sure it would be the death of both of them. Apparently though, he was also not very self-aware, and apparently he was also horrible at taking hints. But Zuko had to know this was a date, right? After all, how many dudes go out with her best friend and get dinner alone and then walk to the other’s apartment stealing glances at the other? How many dudes look at their best friend the way he looked at Zuko? He was sure he was going to get a headache if he kept on being subtle, clearly it wasn’t getting him anywhere.
Clearly they were both in their head, as they didn’t realize they were back at Zuko’s as quickly as they were. They were both a little disappointed, but they had their own reasons. Zuko was disappointed because Sokka had to go home, and Sokka was disappointed that he hadn’t been able to talk to Zuko about their night. To be more specific, that he hadn’t been able to communicate what the night was. Clearly, Zuko thought they were just two guys hanging out but Sokka had hoped it would have been more. So, they were just standing on Zuko‘s porch exchanging goodbyes, just like always. Their normal, definitely friendly and only friendly goodbyes. But, Zuko didn’t know how long he could keep it up. “Nice to see you again,” Sokka smiled at him, scratching the back of his neck.
“Yea, you too.” Zuko smiled and pulled out his key from his pocket, acutely aware of how close they were on the small porch. He was pretty sure his face was bright red, but if it was, Sokka didn’t say anything about it. He was about to unlock the door when he heard giggles and shushing from behind the door. Suddenly, everything went quiet inside the house. He knew that Mai had invited Katara, Toph, Azula, Ty Lee, and Aang over. But he didn’t expect that there would be six pairs of eyes watching him from behind the curtains in the living room. Once again, Sokka didn’t seem to notice. He didn’t seem to notice much apparently. “We should hang out again, wanna come over next weekend? I’ve got Saturday and Sunday off now.”
Sokka grinned and nodded. “Yea, sounds good.” Zuko nodded and they fell into silence. “Well, I should get inside. I’m pretty sure if I don’t Mai is gonna tear me a new one for having the porch light on for so long.” His roommate was very on top of saving money when it came to the electricity bill. Sokka nodded and Zuko unlocked the door silently. But Sokka didn’t know how long he could keep pretending, so he figured he’d stop all together. “Hey, Zuko?” He glanced over at him and raised a brow, but before he could ask what he wanted hands were on his waist and Sokka had kissed him. That caught off guard, and he could vaguely hear whispering from behind the door. But apparently that only encouraged Sokka, and he dipped his head to get a better angle and Zuko just went with it. His hands were gripping his shoulders, and he grinned and bit down on Sokka’s bottom lip. Once they parted Zuko looked at his griining companion and he grinned back. All he could say was “wow.”

Ahmadinejad brings the crazy to Piers Morgan, tripped up by girls on skis

Ahmadinejad brings the crazy to Piers Morgan, tripped up by girls on skis
http://twitter.com/#!/Alli_Brennan/status/250414998696890369
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad tried to bring a zen-like calm to the set of CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight.” At the start of the interview, he put on a classic display of creepy, overdone calmness that could rival Hannibal Lecter. His blank, insane eyes bored into the souls of millions of riveted viewers as he reassured them that they had nothing to fear.
#Ahmadinejad: re: #Syria "Freedom is a fundamental right." What about your own people in #Iran? Don't they have that right? @CNN
— Mohamed Daadaoui (@Maghreblog) September 25, 2012
On Syria, he painted himself as a peacemaker but took the Ron Paul line by declaring that he opposes violence in other countries.
"I am now hard at work…..to bring the two sides to a point of national agreement" #Ahmadinejad on crisis in #Syria
— Piers Morgan Live (@PiersMorganLive) September 25, 2012
He also wouldn’t give a straight answer on who he thought was behind the 9/11/01 terrorist attacks but seems to think that three-quarters of Americans are “nebulous” as to who did it.
#Ahmadinejad: "70 of Americans are still nebulous about the events of 9/11." Where did he get that stat.?
— Mohamed Daadaoui (@Maghreblog) September 25, 2012
https://twitter.com/TorontoBlair/status/250404815140687872
"I would have been happier to see a transparent trial…& find out the root causes of all the events" #Ahmadinejad on killing of #BinLaden”
— Moe Kissi (@Moekissi) September 25, 2012
Then there was the Israel question, which didn’t seem to get as straight of an answer as he gave the U.N.
"I believe what is our common responsibility..all of humanity, we must help to end and eradicate occupation" #Ahmadinejad #Palestine
— Piers Morgan Live (@PiersMorganLive) September 25, 2012
Answer the damn question for crying out loud! What is wrong with this man? #Ahmadinejad #Crazy
— Janet Davis (@AllspiceJAD) September 25, 2012
Just 15min into the @piersmorgan interview w/ Iranian President #Ahmadinejad & my Persian parents are already cursing in Farsi at the TV!
— Arash Shirazi (@arashshirazi) September 25, 2012
The zen of Ahmadinejad did break on the subject of the Holocaust, where Morgan found himself accused of imposing his own ideas.
well done @PiersMorgan, has #Ahmadinejad on ropes on the Holocaust.
— Louise Mensch (@LouiseMensch) September 25, 2012
He "passes no judgement" about historical events. Hitler is delighted to find him so forgiving. Vile #Ahmadinejad #PiersMorgan
— Louise Mensch (@LouiseMensch) September 25, 2012
"Let me finish".. "Don't be in such a hurry" – #Ahdmadinejad to @piersmorgan. Surely Piers had a chill go up his spine there.
— Greg Hanna (@Greg_Hanna) September 25, 2012
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad might be the world's most obnoxious conspiracy theorist.
— Chris Moody (@moody) September 25, 2012
All of that seemed to lead up to the big issue, the crescendo, the topic that finally pushed the dictator over the limit. Women on skis!
Ahmadinejad says "Who told you that was banned?" He will not confirm that it's legal for a single woman to go skiing.
— Adam Henry (@viewofadam) September 25, 2012
.@piersmorgan asks Ahmadinejad why Iranian single women are banned from going skiing alone. Still waiting for his answer…
— annmarie (@AnnmarieHordern) September 25, 2012
"The problems of humanity run much deeper than whether or not a single woman goes skiing." -Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of A Country
— Eric Ledgin (@iamledgin) September 25, 2012
That’s right — the stunned silence from Ahmadinejad wasn’t about the Holocaust, homosexuality, or Israel. Girls on skis, however, were too much for him. Ahmadinejad claimed he was hearing of the ban for the first time, but wouldn’t indicate whether he would allow it. He was so uncomfortable that he tried to shift the conversation back to homosexuality, which suddenly seemed like a safer subject.
Ahmadinejad just called homosexuality an ugly behavior. Guess he's trying to impress Paris HIlton.
— GregGutfeld (@greggutfeld) September 25, 2012
Finally, Piers mercifully ends the slow motion train wreck with the simple question he says he asks everybody. So, how many times has Ahmadinejad been in love?
Ahmadinejad: "I love the whole of humanity". Great to know.
— Joseph Stashko (@JosephStash) September 25, 2012
Unless of course those people are Jewish, gay, American, Christian, or want to go skiing.

I finally did it. My (not) definitive blorbo alignment, tailored to my blorbo type and sub-types (one of these guys is not like the others)
Some additional ramblings under the cut vvv
First of all, sorry to Arash Shirazi, Sebastian Michaelis, Legolas Thranduilion, Envy fullmetal alchemist, and a bunch of others I forget right now who didn't make the cut. some of them just didn't really fit well into the alignments and some would've doubled up on existing fills. Maybe one day i'm gonna re-do this with more categories.
Second of all, this chart definitely shows My Type, which can pretty much be defined as older, often gruff men I'd like to fuck (exceptions to this are Thorfinn, because he's a child and fills the "teenage rage" niche for me, and Nine, who I headcanon does not fuck, so I respect that).
Third of all, I don't really like Arnaud in the "just some guy" category because the "just some guy" category is definitely the weakest pillar in this and basically just exists because i needed somewhere to put the guys that got out-competed for other spots. Arnaud could definitely go in both powerful (his in-game ability defines him as such) and authority (former mercenary leader and knight), but when you stack him up against A) supernatural beings and a kid whose entire first arc revolves around him being a killing machine, and B) a noble and two high-ranking military leaders, then he's just out-competed for those categories. Also Dmitri isn't really that feral, especially compared to the other two in this category, but I literally didn't know where else to put him so.
Honestly i recommend doing this, it's so much fun and you get to think about and look at all your favourite blorbos :)

Seb's Fic Masterpost (Witcher, Switchcraft, Original)
Witcher
Pairing: Geralt/Regis
Multi-Chapter
To Pluck Wild Mountain Thyme - Ongoing, Explicit, Graphic Depictions of Violence, Fluff & Smut, 100k+
Regis has left to find and help Dettlaff after the Night of Long Fangs, and Geralt has gone into semi-retirement at Corvo Bianco. But despite the new peace, the Witcher finds something is missing. Only when Regis unexpectedly returns one day does Geralt realise there is much they have yet to discover about each other and what connects them. After all, a love story does not end when those famous three words are said – it only just begins.
Through All My Years With You - General Audiences, Fluff, Ficlet Collection, Completed, 1.2k
Both vampires and witchers - circumstances permitting - live extraordinarily long lives. What good fortune, then, that Geralt and Regis have found each other and decided to spend those lives with each other.
One-Shots
Woe - Mature, Major Character Death, Angst, <1k
Regis knows the Lullaby of Woe by heart, but when Geralt, his lover of over a century, dies during a contract, its words gain a devastating new meaning.
Sharp and Pointy - General Audiences, Domestic Fluff, <1k
Another morning at Corvo Bianco, but today it involves belly skritches and pointy teeth.
Under the Summer Sky - General Audiences, Fluff, <1k
When one is semi-retired at Corvo Bianco, there are many opportunities to carve out a few minutes to spend with a loved one. Just such a moment happens on a sunny summer day, when Regis finds Geralt picking herbs in the garden behind the estate and can't help but join him.
To Put You At Ease - Teen and Up, Fluff, Wound Care, <1k
One benefit of semi-retirement at Corvo Bianco is that Regis is always right there to take care of any injuries Geralt sustains during contracts. His hands are much steadier experienced at mending wounds than Geralt's own, and his treatments are gentle. They always manage to soften whatever trouble Geralt picks up on the Path.
Finally Ever After - General Audiences, Book Fic, 1.7k
With the slaying of the last idr, the season of storms finally comes to an end for the Witcher. The silent listener is glad, hidden in the woods for none to know but his love. Though before a season of peace can begin, there is the girl, a soon-to-be sorceress fascinated by the Witcher's legend, who is convinced she knows him. As Regis listens, he begins to reminisce, and when Geralt returns to him and tells him of her, he smiles.
Five Years of This - General Audiences, Fluff, Based on Fanart, <1k
Sometimes, simply hugging Regis is not enough, and in those cases, Geralt just has to pick him up. Particularly on special occasions.
Weather the Storm - Explicit, Smut, Established Relationship, 5.2k
When no inn seems to have a vacant room during a thunderstorm, Geralt and Regis seek shelter in a nearby brothel. Though they are reluctantly given a room for the night, sleep slips farther from their minds as more and more noises seep in through the walls, spurring Geralt's imagination.
A Day So Sweet - General Audiences, Fluff, <1k
To Geralt, a day is merely a day, but to everyone around him, this one is quite special. And Regis intends to make it enjoyable.
Not So Silent Graves - Teen and Up, Humour & Satire, 1.9k
Geralt and Regis planned to visit Fen Carn to reminisce, and perhaps indulge in the ancient cemetery's atmosphere. Instead, they come across the curious character who has made Regis' dilapidated cottage their new home - and strange business venture.
Parody chapter 48 of Thyme - General Audiences, Ko-fi Exclusive Parody, tw transphobia, <1k
An out of character interaction between Geralt, Eskel and Regis, filled with memes, wacky dialogue and overall silliness. Written in response to transphobic comments left on chapter 47 of "To Pluck Wild Mountain Thyme" regarding my inclusion of trans Eskel. Non-canon in the Thyme universe and now only available to ko-fi supporters.
Humility and Sacrifice - General Audiences, Book Fic, First Kiss, <1k
Just hours ago, Geralt had realised the absurdity of feeling joy at the sight of a vampire. And now, as Regis walks him to the cave beneath Devil Mountain, Geralt realises another thing - that this vampire is far too fond of talking. Someone ought to shut him up.
Pairing: Geralt/Roche
Multi-Chapter
The Knife in His Coffin - Explicit, Graphic Depictions of Violence, TW2 Spoilers, Completed, 53k
In just a few weeks, Vernon Roche has lost nearly everything that was dear to him. He's lost his king, lost his men, and is about to lose his country, too. The only thing driving him now is a burning desire for revenge, and he will cross mountains to get it. With Ves left behind for safety, there is only Geralt by his side on the arduous journey to Loc Muinne - and they are about to realise that a lot can change in a week when it is filled with nothing but silence and each other's presence.
All of His Colours - Explicit, Graphic Depictions of Violence, Sequel to The Knife in His Coffin
Much has happened since Geralt and Roche parted from one another at an inn outside Loc Muinne. Nilfgaard has invaded the North a third time, and much like the second, Geralt finds himself searching for Ciri once more. While she occupies his thoughts greatly, there is another who haunts his mind – a man he remembers with a sense of longing and uncertainty. As he struggles with his mission, Geralt clings desperately to the hope that one day – be it in a year, five years, even ten – he and Vernon Roche will get the chance to tie up the loose ends surrounding them.
One-Man Force - Mature, Graphic Depictions of Violence, Roche POV, Completed, 7.2k
Vernon Roche is no stranger to abductions. Whether he himself orchestrates them, or ends up as a victim himself, he's experienced his fair share. But that's exactly why this one is so strange. Security seems lacking, and one by one, more oddities pile up. So when it presents itself, Vernon seizes the opportunity to get to the bottom of it all - and finds a letter from Geralt at the core.
One-Shots
To Become A Kingslayer - General Audiences, Missing Scene, TW2 Spoilers, <1k
Geralt came a long way to clear his name of the accusations of being a kingslayer, but what he didn’t know was that the one he undertook the journey with would eventually turn into that exact persona. When Vernon Roche killed King Henselt of Kaedwen, Geralt turned a blind eye. But when Vernon Roche was on the brink of being found out, Geralt made a choice to become the very thing he had gone so far to dispute.
The Mark of A Stripe - General Audiences, <1k

Everything I Loved... - Explicit, Roche & Ves & The Blue Stripes, Graphic Depictions of Violence, Implied Rape/Non-Con, TW2 Spoilers, Completed, 34k
Vernon Roche had led the Blue Stripes for four years. Four long, all too short years. At the beginning of it all, he had recruited all of them and trained them, pulled them from the worst life had to give, and put a roof over their heads. He'd loved them dearly, and they had respected him in turn, treated him not merely as their commander, but as one of them. As a friend. He'd fought with them, bled with them, laughed with them, and even though only memories remained now, most of them were happy ones.
