Diomedes and Odysseus having an argument about something and not talking for a few days beause of it, so naturally Odysseus goes around flirting with everything that moves (the other war commanders) just when Diomedes happens to be within sight (ever so conveniently) and then ends up in their bed (likely Menelaus') and happens to be loud enough that Diomedes hears him (his being there an entirely surprising coincidence) and so then Diomedes interrupts them to drag Odysseus away to hia own tent (which Odysseus totally did not intend to happen and was most definitely not his end goal)

Choosing is so hard, I love so many of them..but If I had to choose I'd probably say Hector (⁠◍⁠•⁠ᴗ⁠•⁠◍⁠)

I've made some quick sketches of my design for him, I really like the idea of him having Vitiligo and heterochromia- as a character though Idk I just love him a lot he's always described as loved and gentle towards his people and he and Andromache had a beautiful and loving relationship....I FEEL BAD FOR THE GUY!

Eurylochus’ sword

I know that the Strongest of Same probably has this cool, unique, personalized backstory

but for the life of me, I cannot stop thinking of this:

Eurylochus is courting Ctimene. There are at the market, where she is eyeing the apples and he’s thinking of how he needs a new sword, his old one no longer suits him. Then they hear wolf whistles behind them.

They turn, and they see several young men (likely foreigners, since they don’t recognize Ctimene as a literal princess), eyeing Ctimene in a way that makes her shrink and step closer to Eurylochus.

Protectively pissed off, Eury’s eyes dart to the left, where he sees a cartoonishly big sword being displayed beside a blacksmith’s business. Figuring it will be a good intimidation tactic, he grabs it by the grip and raises it high, silently threatening them. The boys blanch, and back off immediately, because that sword is as tall as one of them.

Once they’re gone, Eury finds he takes a liking to the sword- and Ctimene takes a liking to watching him wield it, of course.

Odysseus does have a laughing fit seeing his friend with it later, and when Ctimene tells him of the circumstances in which it was chosen, he and Polites start doing the Ancient Greek equivalent of putting together a Pintrest board for the wedding.

Penelope scolding and fretting over Diomedes everytime he visits Ithaca during the Odyssey. Fretting over how it looks like he hasn't been eating well, worrying about how he looks so tired, scolding him and making him spend his time in Ithaca simply resting and relaxing.

(the one time Sthenelus comes with Diomedes, Penelope yells at him proper for not taking of his King well cause- look at how thin he's become since the last time he came here! Do you not have proper food in Italia?!)

Diomedes just letting Penelope do whatever she wants - feed him and take care of him, not showing it outwardly but enjoying the way Penelope so deeply and truly cares for him.

Sometimes he'll just spend hours with his head on her lap, falling asleep with her hand gently running through his hair, with the scent of the ocean breeze surrounding them.

I’m thinking about my Big Three kid swap au (Nico is the prophecy child, Percy is a willow tree, and Thalia is caught in the Lotus Casino) again and specifically Percy is so funny to me. Turns into a tree when he has a found family daughter and almost-boyfriend and wakes up as a a single mother divorcee.

Percy is consistently bringing unhinged domestic spat energy to every confrontation. It’s a full on soap opera. The gods love it. Luke’s troops keep losing respect for him.

Percy kept aging while he was a tree (since we can’t have him join the Hunt) and everyone agrees he’s not the Prophecy Child because he’s fully twenty-something already. So he has no other obligations except conspiring with Annabeth to drag Luke kicking and screaming back home.

Percy keeps referring obliquely to “the divorce” which is very funny but confuses everyone around him. Multiple times he distracts monsters or Titan army demigods by complaining about his “failing marriage” and how “taking care of a kid alone is so hard, you know? I’m not even getting child support!”. Everyone comes out of the conversation sympathetic to the poor guy. Every once in a while Percy adds new lore to see the way Luke’s eye twitches. Luke is not coping well with the judgmental looks, side-eyes, and earnest advice about how to save a marriage. Annabeth keeps getting kidnapped by Luke’s cronies because they very earnestly believe she should get to spend some more time with her other dad.

Every Saturday there’s a truce where all three of them tensely eat cookies in Sally Jackson’s living room. No one has the guts to tell her they’re on opposite sides of a war. Luke tries to turn the tables one (1) time and ask her how she would feel about Percy getting married. Sally’s answer is so heartfelt and genuinely happy that Luke cries alone in his golden sarcophagus later and he never brings it up again. Percy’s smug look goes entirely unnoticed except by Annabeth.

context: me and my closest friend were on a vc a couple days ago and they brought up that they wanted to draw something. they said something was urging them to draw Hermes, almost as if Hermes himself was whispering in their ear to do so. and thus led to me getting the idea to do this.
