does my muse(s) get jealous?
grant - yes, grant is a very jealous person when it comes to someone he loves romantically. he often tries not to show how jealous he is and will try to deny it but it's quite obvious. not only will he be jealous usually if he sees someone flirting, talking, dancing with the person he is interested in, he can also grow quite jealous of their close friends as well. he's not above intervening and it can range between him attempting to be subtle, protective or if it's clear the person he likes is very uncomfortable with said attention, he can even get physical. one of the reasons he tries to hide his jealousy is because more times than not he puts said person at a distance therefore has no right or real reason to be jealous even though he is.
kassy - no, kassy does not get jealous. though she's usually not one for titles when it comes to dating, i'd say she views herself as polyamorous. she can definitely be quite possessive but that is more for the enjoyment of the power dynamic rather than needing others to keep their hands to themselves (unless that touch is unwanted of course). she has no problem sharing her friends, subs, situationships (to those she deems worthy of her people*) if that is something they'd like too since to kassy, the more the merrier. she also knows that she cannot provide her partners with the kind of relationships and future some may want therefore she will often encourage them to seek other connections. plus, she's very confident about herself and in what she can offer to people.
trinity - yes, and while usually she can contain herself, once she gets a little bit of alcohol in her system trinity can want to fight someone if they look at her partner the wrong way let alone come up to them to flirt or touch them. she can become extremely jealous and possessive of her partner if she feels threatened and go between cursing someone out and trying to fight them, and trying to make said person hitting on her partner jealous by being extremely possessive (kissing them, having their partners hands very obviously on her and vice versa, essentially claiming them as hers and her as theirs). so though trin might come off as shy and quiet most of the time, she can absolutely lash out against someone if they try to get between her and her partner, she's a little crazy.
alec - yes and no, alec is polyamorous and simply loves love too much to be jealous a lot of the time. i'd say he's more likely to be envious of what others have rather than jealous if someone he likes is with another person or flirts, etc. he also doesn't feel as though he is allowed to be jealous because he has issues himself with being completely committed to one person and is very overly friendly. he's aware that he can make any of his potential partners jealous so he tries to be sensitive to that. but i'd say 99% of the time he does not feel that same jealousy others would feel.
rev - yes, they are extremely jealous and possessive. they can become very aggressive towards just about anyone they think is looking at their partner or talking to them too much, let alone if they were to touch them even if it was friendly and not flirty. most of the time they're able to scare people away but a part of them knows it's not necessarily healthy to be so possessive and i think if they were to have a steady partner that they would try their best to work on that but they very much want to protect their partner and not let anyone think they can take advantage of their partners kindness. also they want their partner to choose them and want to be with them as much as rev does their partner.
nate - not really. i'd say nate is also a pretty confident guy and that while he can be protective, i wouldn't say he often gets jealous. not unless specific situations where there is a girl he really likes/loves that he cannot be with and has to watch be with someone else. but with his partner by his side nothing can upset him because she has chosen him and no matter what chatting or flirting goes on he knows that she wants to be with him. i mean i can see him getting jealous if it gets to be too much to the point it feels disrespectful but overall he will let his woman do what she likes and only step in if to protect her or make other people jealous, because they would be since his partner is a complete knock out and he's madly in love with her.

I know the popular theory is that Ward was truly putting on an act of caring about the team but I refuse to believe he didn't truly care about any of them. There is no excuse for dumping Fitzsimmons in the ocean and it's inexcusable but there just always feels like there was a lot more to his feelings for this team than we all and the team believe.
Of course, none of the team is required to forgive him and they don't but would like to have seen him get a real redemption arc in some world.
#grant ward#agents of shield#i did not go into this rewatch expecting to care more about ward for some reason

I sometimes feel like characters who do truly monstrous things while also having been victims of some pretty insane shit themselves are sort of an exercise in empathy. Or at least, should be seen as such.
Like, in real life, if a person who has been horribly broken by their experiences and failed by society than proceeds to rape someone - it's hard to feel the justifiable sympathy/empathy for that person (without excusing their rape, never do that) because well, you can look at this actual human person they hurt, or worse, and it feels gross and disrespectful to the rape victim.
And this is understandable. (And applies to more than just rapists/rape victims of course, that's just the most visceral one and thus picked for that reason)
But a fictional rape victim is... fictional. You can't 'disrespect' their trauma, and while obviously rape/whatever else is real, and people may related to the rape victim and thus see your comments about the rapist also being a victim as somehow being about their experience...
Well, it's not.
Because the rapist here, didn't actually hurt a real person. Fictional characters are objects. They're objects that often grab us by the throat and refuse to leave our fucking heads, yes, but they're objects. They are tools used by writers to tell a story, and readers to tell a story.
And one of the things fictional characters are good for is allowing us to consider experiences we never had, and imagine ourselves in other circumstances and lives. (Also just fun and fascinating and interesting to watch their stories).
It's very easy to feel for the rape victim in fiction, and rightly so. That's Level 1 Empathy there. Granted, some people IRL fail that, but that's not really what we're talking about here.
Advanced Empathy, hard Empathy is feeling for the rapist. Not for the rape, of course, even if they feel guilt about it, but if someone really was failed on multiple levels and was broken and damaged and went through the sort of psychological wringer that would leave most of us here on tumblr catatonic - they do deserve the same Empathy any human (any person) who went through all that.
Even after they also do the bad thing, critically they still deserve Empathy. And that is fucking hard. I very often have a hard time feeling bad for truly awful people who also deserve empathy and sympathy, real and even fictional (despite all this, yeah, I'm not perfect on this) for what they (separately) went through.
It also becomes even harder when what they went through is utterly bound up with what they did. How what they went through and experiences is in part responsible for what they did - because they still made a choice. The circumstances may have left them not in their right mind, may have left them feeling without choice, may have driven them to things they normally might not think of or do, but they still chose to do that bad thing. And that's not okay. They still hurt someone.
And yet - one cannot remove the action from the circumstances. So you can still feel empathy, and elucidate all the factors and circumstances as to what led up to their choices and why, and it doesn't change that they did the horrible thing. The rape, or the murders, or whatever.
But circling back - with a fictional character... they didn't hurt a real person. There's no one who is real that suffered. The things the character did IRL are bad because they hurt real people.
So you're not being disrespectful to the victim by feeling that empathy, or sympathy. By exploring the things that they were a victim for. Even by wanting to focus on those things - fictional characters should be compelling in all their aspects, if they're written well.
And yet, of course, if you do that empathy and do talk about what the bad person went through and all that context, people come at you. They call you evil, just as bad as the (again, fictional) character, or they say that you're treading dangerously close to the arguments people use to defend the real people who do these things in real life. Or you're disrespecting all the victims of these crimes IRL. Especially of course, if the person coming at you has a reason this comes close to home.
But again - fictional.
In an ideal world, we'd all feel sympathy and empathy when it's called for, regardless of what the person did. Even the worst most monstrous people deserve human treatment in prison. And if you don't have empathy, that's hard. Even if you do have empathy, that's hard.
So if you look at a fictional character (who doesn't hurt a real person by virtue of being fictional) that does horrible, vile things, but went through so much, and you still can't empathize or sympathize with them... I mean, it doesn't make you a bad person, not even close, this is still fiction, and there's people I should empathize with in fiction that I don't, but...
It's still a failure of your ability to be empathetic. And we're all humans. We're all failing at that, among other things, all the time. But... it's good to be aware of that. at least?
At the very least, bear that in mind when other people are talking about that context, and that victimization. And please, for the love of god, don't fucking pretend that the victimization didn't happen, that this person who did do terrible things (in fiction) suddenly didn't also (in fiction) experience awful shit, as if doing a bad thing erases all the bad things done to you.
Again - it doesn't necessarily make you a bad person, but like... the horrible state of prisons in our society is a real, actual problem. The way we as a society dehumanize people who do bad things is a real actual problem for a lot of reasons (not least because it creates an incentive for authority that wants to dehumanize a person or a group to expand the definition of 'did bad things' to make their dehumanization now acceptable, among other things).
So yeah. Fictional character who suffers but than also makes others suffer - that's a useful exercise in Empathy. And doing that doesn't make you or anyone else a bad person, or actually defending the sorts of crimes, IRL or Fictional, that this character did. Contextualizing is not whitewashing, empathy is not erasing, and humanizing is not disrespecting the victim(s).
So yeah, they fictional character did bad things. But there's more to them than that. And you can say but and talk about what comes after but without disrespecting the fictional victim. Because the fictional victim... is just as fictional. Just as not real.
Is it possible for this to end up being taken too far? Yes. But that's a reason to be mindful of yourself when it comes to real people, not to never do it. And when it comes to fictional people - again, fictional. Nobody was actually, really hurt.
(I really do want to make clear, before people read the tags, that this applies to all crimes these sorts of characters do, rape was just picked as the one to use as the example.)
#Anakin Skywalker#Azula#Grant Ward#Amy Dallon#Panacea#Empathy#Sympathy#I kind of used both terms probably a little wrongly I don't know but I think my point is clear#the tagged characters were Just a few of the characters I had in mind while writing this#So many times I see people talking about the context and the way this and that character who did horrible shit and then I see other people#give them so much shit for that and say its not okay to talk about these things because it's victim blaming or erasing the crimes#or disrespecting the victim and like - it's all fictional but also like... even if it were real#a real person who suffered#whatever else they do later#is a real fucking person who fucking suffered#Ultimately if you can't bring yourself to empathize with a given fictional character - whether it's because their crimes hit close to home#or not - it's fine#you're not a bad person for that and I'm not saying that#but if you consistently never empathize with the fictional characters who deserve it and consistently try to downplay their trauma in the#context of the fiction or even try to erase it#Then maybe reflect#and either way - let other people empathize and talk about the context and all the rest for these characters in peace#even if you feel like they're whitewashing or victim blaming they probably aren't in 99% of cases and even if they are when it comes to#fictional characters they're fucking fictional just block or ignore or back button and move on maybe vent in your own space#But just - leave it alone#And maybe - if you haven't before - try to practice the 'Advanced Empathy' required to feel for these fictional monsters. It really is a#good exercise#Also like please reblog this I'm not really on tumblr for the notes most of the time but I really poured out a lot into this one and I'm#tired of doing that only to feel like I'm shouting into an empty void#I am on here because on some level I want engagement I want the connection

Okay this is actually insane how the hell does it work so well for Trent to be Grant Ward?! Like now we have him having personal feelings about a domestic violence case when a big part of Ward's past is that his parents and older brother were physically abusive to him and his younger siblings?! And relating to the child of abuse and giving him a hug?! And his fucking face?! Brett is such a good actor btw. And nothing he said to Jay is even necessarily a lie. He mentions in season one of Agents of Shield that he did have a sister and it's fairly common for victims of child abuse to have abusive relationships later in life. In this context everything he does in Found reads so much like Ward trying to be a good man and his hyper fixation on the law being a sort of moral compass for him because his perception of morality has always been warped. But he still feels as strongly as he ever did. And that scene in the house where Trent hears Sir? It's so Ward coded like he's using his superspy skills right there. He's even dress just like Ward always does this entire episode like come on
#grant ward#mark trent#agents of shield#found nbc#trent is ward#I'm not even calling it a headcanon anymore#it's just canon now idk what to tell you#no i will not shut up about it#i am right#and I am riding this train as far as it goes#i'm still not taking criticism or getting into internet pissing contests

Where is the Moon Knight AU where Marc and Layla's patron Gods are swapped? and now my brain can't work because it extended into a full roleswap AU?
Layla's father came back from a successful dig with a trove of information and a lovely little ushabti of Khonshu. However, Abdullah is acting strange, talking to thin air, going out at night, researching further into obscure things. The lights are also flickering no matter how much she checks the generator and the wind keeps blowing despite the doors being shut.
Abdullah El-Faouly is the Eye of Khonshu: being banished for so long from the world, the God needs some time to adjust before going forward with his plan of punishing evildoers. (this was Khonshu trying so hard to be like the Ennead, but he could not abandon his nature to protect.) Abdullah ends up breaking the contract and Khonshu leaves the ushabti behind as a token of protection.
(then there is Arthur Harrow, the Talons of Khonshu. While his willingness to perform violence is a boon, sometimes he is too eager.)
Everything is fine for a while, then mercenaries break in to find the artifact. Bushman threatens them. Layla fights and takes down most of them, but her father is still hurt. One of the remaining mercenaries turns on Bushman. (He starts the mission as Marc - but since he can't handle another innocent death on his hands, backs out and swaps with Jake.)
During the struggle, Layla gets shot. Jake gets things done and then scatters. (he believes that he killed her. this has. repercussions on the system.)
Khonshu at first just wanted to revive Abdullah, but at his insistence he gives up being an Avatar so Layla can be revived. "she is going to be angry. You won't be there to see it." "she would have gone after them anyway."
(Khonshu abandons Harrow for this, not sure if it was worth it.)
Abdullah is right. Layla does go on a hunt, now as the Wings of Khonshu. Moon Scarab, to the underworld and the rumor mill.
She's mad about everything. Mad that her father presumed she needed saving, mad that she has to listen to an angry bird. (Rage, though it burns hot, always burns out. It's better than the cold certainty of Harrow's punish before wrongdoing. It is worth it.)
(Layla isn't unhinged, she's just gripping very tight to the hinges, thank you for asking.)
Weeks pass and she finds the last person of the mercenary group. A man cuffed to a wheelchair in a psych ward, sedated.
"His mind is fractured. Broken." Khonshu says. "It could be a fitting punishment, to keep him here. His body rotting while his mind spins in fruitless cycles."
"or he could be very good at hiding. One way to find out."
Layla is an excellent forger - a release for the merc, a small flat and money to keep him in town while he recovers from treatment. She feeds him a lie about being a family friend. There's a flicker of distrust.
"I've got a condition - blacking out, memory issues, insomnia - I'll be up reading all night." He says his name is Steven, but she knows better. "Are you sure you want to be flatmates?"
"I have places to be at night." Khonshu flickers the lights.
"Oh. Fine. Night owl, that's...fine."
"Don't worry about the lights, the landlord never answers the calls." don't mind that she's the landlord.
Her coming home with bruises and cuts. Steven flinches, insisting they go out to get bandages because they don't have a proper first aid kit. The awkward stare off with a hurt lady and a nervous guy VS the night shift cashier that's Seen it All. "bar fight. I won." Layla grins, blood on her teeth.
(The little moment where they're close as he's putting a bandage on her nose and being. so. tender. to someone who's never been more than 'distractedly polite' to him. His face changing to something new, something strange and lovely.)
When she finds him hitting himself, it's not that hard for him to explain. "I don't - I don't know if this is real. Jake is very sure you're dead!"
It turns out after the night of the attack, Jake got them far away as possible. He resolved to become a night driver and Steven to keep house in the day. Marc woke up and realized an alter was trying to build a life and just...let them. Better than mercenary work.
Steven gets worried about his missing time and gets therapy...and the therapist realizes, tells them and pushes them too hard to "come together as one whole"...Jake snaps and he's forced into a psych ward.
They cribbed together some form of communication on the psych ward thanks to a different therapist and the other patients. Marc's immense guilt wanted them to stay. But Jake and Steven wanted the body out. If they spent more time in the ward, they might reveal some crimes and the system doubts that they'll be allowed this level of help in a prison.
When Layla arrived to take them, it was an opportunity they didn't want to refuse.
"We don't want to be one person. We want to be ourselves." Steven fully introduces them after that. "We are the Hippo system! Like the Hippocampus of the brain that works with memory - that's Marc - and navigation - that's Jake!" He spells it out, "He Isn't a People Person Otherwise!"
"Who's he?"
Steven shrugs. "I dunno. I'm just here for general life, Jake is here for protection and gossip and Marc...he's well. Not as social as he'd like to be. I'm not supposed to know about it, that's not my "function", as the doc would say but...whatever happened that made us us was too much for one person to bear. It happened before we met you, so it's not your fault."
Layla shrugs. "What can you tell me about that night?"
"I can't tell you. That's part of the point, us being separate and all."
She eventually gets an answer out of them. Layla also lies and says she wasn't as badly hurt as they saw and shows off her Moon Scarab suit with the healing. (Jake accepts that answer at face value. Steven is a little concerned but willing to let it slide. Marc is suspicious.)
Now with their first round of secrets gone, they feel more at home. The Hippo System settles in as a decent partner in her artifact retrieval - he can put his mercenary skills to a good cause and she doesn't have to hide that burning rage as much. (the rage dims, is soothed and that's not good for vengeance.)
Khonshu starts to intrude, making noises about using the Hippo System as his next Avatar. Layla pulls away, tries to keep them apart because she Knows any more pressure on that mind is going to break them apart.
Wendy Spector dies and the Hippo system is thrown out of balance.
(The rage ignites. She's always held it together - her family after her mother died, her composure when people talked over her and her knowledge of Egypt, her home, now the Hippo system. It's always been up to her and she's resigned and vicious and not holding back.)
Layla makes a judgement call and goes after Harrow alone.
The system recovers. Steven now knows why he exists. He does not flinch from Layla's rage, does not fall for Harrow's twisted philosophy, not like Marc or Jake would. He rallies the system to action, to save the world.
Harrow was able to get dirt on Marc's past and tries to kill him with Judgement, but it doesn't work. He reveals about Khonshu, that his partner is lying to him and it does strain the relationship.
Things follow canon. Khonshu gets sealed into stone. Layla dies and Marc blends in as a follower.
Tawaret tries to ask him to be her Avatar, but he refuses. "Do you know what I did as a child to my brother? What my mother did to me over and over for it? Why would you even want me to defend women and children?"
And he releases Khonshu. "Ah. Big pigeon! No wonder Layla was so bloody ready to be rid of you! Get back to her then! Go on!"
And Tawaret comes back. "Temporary Avatar. I don't want any more voices in my head than I started with."
And he becomes Hippo Knight, because why not?
And they win against Harrow and the cult of Ammit. The system helps Layla stop giving into her rage to kill Harrow. Everyone should be able to choose good or evil.
(Steven kept in contact with the patients and nurses in the psych ward. Harrow is preaching violence again and well. He made his choice. Jake drives Layla over to meet with him. Marc holds her tight.)

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season Two
While watching season two, I took some notes of my thoughts. I only started on S02 E09 so before that there isn't too much.
Sorry, this is going to be mostly Fitzsimmons but you can't really blame me, because it's THEM
But first, two last things for season one "I couldn't live if you didn’t" "Well, I feel the same way. There has to be another way." "You're taking it" "Why would you make me do this? You're my best friend in the world!" "Yeah, you're more than that, Jemma" seems to now live in my head
Also the desperation and intensity in Jemma's voice, while Fitz's is so calm and kinda trembling, but both are absolutely heartbreaking in their own ways
But now to season two:
Fitz having trouble with words is both absolutely adorable and heartbreaking
Bobbi reminded me at first of the person (?) from Asgard who helped them get Lorelei
I am curious why Hunter says that his ex-wife was so horrible because so far, I love Bobbi
I just can't shut up about Fitz. But no-one I know in real life would know what the hell I'm talking about, so I just think about him and write about him
(S02 E03) When Jemma wakes up by the sound of her alarm and the song started playing, I thought "Hold on, I know that song", and yes, I love "God help the Girl"
Also it's kinda ironic because it says "God help the Girl, she needs all the help she can get" just as she steps into the lift which brings her to her work at Hydra
(S02 E04) Hunter: "Guys, drop everything!" Fitz: "No, this is worth a fortune. I'm not gonna drop it."
(S02 E07) "Would anyone like to leave before we get started" I would have raised my hand too
(S02 E09) Mack: "A Storm's coming" - Fitz: "No, weather's fine, actually. There's not a cloud in the sky. I checked."
[Jemma knocks on table] "That's not wood, is it?"
Why is literally any conversation Fitzsimmons have killing me? The "I can work for you, I just can't work with you"? I beg your pardon? How am I supposed to accept that?
"Come home, Jemma" (S02 E11) HQ's their home :D
Fitz's hands trembling :(
(S02 E12) This moment when you recognize the face of the woman that came from the ocean but can't recall WHO it is (Lady Sif)
Fitz seems so left out when Jemma tells him about them changing the ICER
Why is Jemma saying "Sir, the boys were right" so funny to me?
Nooo, Coulson said "Fitz and Simmons", they're no longer one and the same
I mean I agree that it wasn't right that Fitz lied to the rest of the team about Skye but please, can Fitzsimmons just be at least friends and work together
(S02 E14) Jemma: "Oh, Fitz!"; Fitz: "Well, don't 'Oh, Fitz' me!" - I kinda waited for him to say that
I am so confused by this whole "real S.H.I.E.L.D."
"No, it's not that. You're afraid 'cause of what happened to me and Skye, how we both changed. But you know what the scariest change is, Jemma? It's you." You know what? At this point maybe I don't want them to talk at all anymore, if every time they do, I just sit there and think "Why are you doing this to each other?"😭
(S02 E15) "I told you, Leo,[...]" Okay, Jemma, this doesn't feel right, calling him by his first name, I regret asking in the first place
I am REALLY confused by the real S.H.I.E.L.D.
I'm glad that even Fitz puts the USB in the wrong way at first
Did Fitzsimmons finally make up when sitting on the ground by the table when "real S.H.I.E.L.D" attacked?
(S02 E16) Don't do this to me, Jemma, don't say you want Fitz off the plane!
Don't leave Jemma alone, Fitz!
Okay, I've changed my mind. Apparently there was a plan behind Fitz leaving that I didn't catch. ("Nice work, Jemma")
Also: Proscuitto + Mozzarella, Be Safe! Love, Jemma 🥲 - The world's most dangerous sandwich is back
I know it's actually a bit late but I have honestly no idea what S.O. means (I suppose it doesn't mean Significant Other) (Rewatching parts of season one reminded me - Supervising Officer)
I really want to like Bobbi (and I still do) but I am afraid I won't much longer
(S02 E17) I kinda like Lincoln
Skye telling the story about not being anywhere longer than two years despite being 25 (or actually 26) actually brought me to tears
Okay, THAT I didn't expect. That this was Skye's mother
"The Girl. I couldn't save her" I didn't know May could make me cry
I thought that when Fitz was in that public bathroom with Coulson's cube (I forgot the name) that Ward was outside knocking and I already saw Fitz getting captured
(S02 E18) That was quite a run, Fitz, I would have been fallen down at least five times (not to mention my lack of stamina), three times alone on the stairs (I know that others have run more and under different circumstances but still)
I feel for Fitz, rocking his leg, I totally understand
Don't you dare, Ward, talking to Fitz!!
Grateful for Coulson's and Hunter's quick reaction
(S02 E19) Was it worth it, Ward? Betraying S.H.I.E.L.D. for leaving Hydra again like half a season later?
I'm glad Fitzsimmons finally talk to each other again like normal people
"Mistakes were made..." - "By you" "...and people got hurt..." - "By you"
No, I'm not okay. "Be careful, Jemma"😭
"So, how does this work? You just click your heals together and whisper, "There's no place like home"?" Is this a S.H.I.E.L.D. director thing? Quoting The Wizard of Oz?
One moment I really like Skye's mother and ten seconds later I can't stand her
(S02 E21) this whole show is confusing me. Who's on whose side?
Now Gordon too!?
Leave Bobbi alone!!!!
I'm not sure if I like Lincoln anymore
(S02 E22) Nooo, Bobbi!
That's what you've got, Ward! Now your girlfriend's dead
"There's nothing to discuss, Jemma" - "Maybe there is"😢😢 I can't with them
"Science, biatch" I actually squeak-laughed
"We're not bad, we're misled" Aaaaand I like Lincoln again
I need someone asking me out the way Fitz did, asap
I mean I knew what was about to happen to Jemma (I saw a GIF somewhere) but fuck, with sound and context it hurts SO MUCH MORE
Okay, that was it with season two. I know I need to step down a little bit with how many episodes I watch daily (because season two has only been six days), but no matter how much I know that, I just can't stop. But enough with this talk.
It was fun doing this, I think I'll do it again with season three.

@headstrongblake said: favourite colour? if they could decide to do anything with their day, what would they want to do? / all the kids who want!
grant - pastel yellow & honestly grant would probably love nothing more than to spend a day going for a hike in the forest just to relax, reading, whether alone or with those closest to him to just finally feel like theres a weight lifted off his shoulders.
kassy - gold, red, lavender & she would love to have the most luxury experience of being at a resort to lay on the beach, have a professional massage, a spa, facial, go for drinks, dancing, being surrounded by those closest to her, be able to lazily fool around and just enjoy herself to the fullest.
trinity - sage green & she would love a chance to try something new. whether it calls for adventure, is a new game, a new hobby, a new food. though her family was wealthy they were very strict and controlling so to be able to experience new things with someone(s) who won't judge/are encouraging, that would be what she'd want.
nate - blue & nate honestly doesn't really care what he's doing as long as he's with his person/people. he can have a fun time wherever he is so as long as there are people for him to experience it with he's good. if he had to choose, he'd love to ride his motorbike really fast or do something thrill seeking for the hell of it.
alec - pink rev - teal hunter - charcoal blue chase - black rykard - lime green bellamy - maroon red

Watching the last couple of episodes of Season 1 of AOS and watching Fitz be so so naively certain that Ward is somehow being controlled only to have his hopes shattered makes me wonder how Ward would react to the stone-cold, laser-focused space pirate Fitz we get in Season 5–given that s5 Fitz wouldn’t just shoot him on sight, of course.
#to be honest I think that possibility is pretty high#seeing how characters who are dead or otherwise gone react to a character’s transformation that they don’t witness in-canon is one of those#au ideas that absolutely fascinate me#hence why I think a lot about ‘James and Lily don’t die’ aus or aus where they time travel to the future and whatnot#oh crap val's shieldblogging#agents of shield#leopold fitz#grant ward

Every day I remember May assembled the Bus team herself, which means she personally selected Ward.

I'm rewatching agents of shield (again!) and it's so much fun to see S1 Ward pre reveal and notice when he does something sus
Like, just now at the end of ep 8 "The Well"
Skye offers to talk to him but he says maybe later, and then May leaves the door to her room open and this is when their friends with benefits thing begins
Now when he sees May do that, we stay on his face for 5-10 seconds and see him thinking about it. On first watch you'd say he's thinking "I wish I could be the guy who could take Skye up on her offer, but no, I have a dark past and May gets that more and with her I can continue to have all my walls up" and hence he chooses to go with her.
However, watching him think now, I'm like wait, that's not what he's thinking. He's thinking "I really really really want to go talk to Skye cause she's cute and I have a lil crush, but I need to do this so I get closer to May and she doesn't get sus of me ever and feels vulnerable etc. I'm on a mission. I have to do what's best for the mission".
It's not "I wish I was more open and communicative", it's "I wish I wasn't a secret spy for hydra".
This is also one of the moments where Ward becomes irredeemable for me. Cause yes I know his loyalty to Garrett was SUPER strong, but this is one of the MANY moments where he could have made the tough decision to NOT follow Garrett and chosen his found family and come clean and help take down hydra.
This is still pretty early in the season, but there are even more of them later. Him trying to redeem himself after Garrett is dead is pointless, cause it means that if in this moment Garrett was still alive, he'd still hail hydra for him. Fuck that.
#i know the show ended 3 years ago#and his betrayal was actually like 9 years ago#but i just have a lot of feelings about this ok#i loved the original bus family#and I'll always be mad at them for making ward hydra#even though i don't care in the long run#cause I got to see dousy happen#it's the best thing ever#agents of shield#marvel#aos#daisy johnson#phil coulson#melinda may#grant ward#hail hydra
