I was hanging out with my grandad, watching movies.

He passed away at the beginning of 2020, so I was grateful to get to spend some time with him even if it wasn't real.

It was bittersweet - but definitely more sweet than bitter.

Fr, especially seeing threads online and people reveal the huge age gaps between their grandparents 😳 my heart goes out to so many people’s grandmothers

So many people’s grandmothers were children while their grandfathers were grown ass men 🤢

Also some of their grandmothers were physically abused, being cheated on or just full on miserable and didn’t have much courage to just up and leave because back then because women were very limited and many couldn’t just walk out the door like they can now

“The Color Purple” perfectly narrates these stories and it sucks that it happened on a regular back then

please please please pray for my Papa, he's 85 and something happened with his hernia or his stomach. The ambulance is on its way to his house and my daddy is going over there, but we don't know much right now. Please keep us in your thoughts. His name is Ralph, please pray for him.

Even if you aren't religious, please say a Hail Mary or Our Father for us. Thank you.

My contribution for Father's Day.

First being just the general atmosphere between Grandfather and Monty.

Second is showing that despite being happy to be Numbuh Zero's son, Nigel still can't really live to the expectation his father set up.

Last one is extremely inspired by the Presidential AU/Fic with Nigel's evil form Wrath.

When I was very young I had a terrifying dream where my kneecap exploded and water or some sort of liquid started pouring out of it. my mom held me while I cried and water gushed out of my kneecap and flooded my grandma and grandpa’s house.

The ironwoods

Robert Ironwood (He/Him) is the leader of the ironstrikers, an infamous group of thieves and insurgents that lurks in new eden underground. Despite his age and physical condition, ironwood is a fierce and cunning man, leading many strikes and attacks against the city authorities and the wealthy families they protect.

Ironwood lives alone with his granddaughter (She/Her), a stern, mistrusting but caring young woman who serves as his advisor and confidant. The girl cares little for her grandfather's ambitions, preferring to follow her own goal of finding a girlfriend, but she remains very loyal and protective of the man who raised her and would harshly punish anyone who would dare come after him.

The hinterlands of Calabria are beautiful when there are no events in which politicians are invited in order to talk about the importance of the hinterlands.

It's nice having a tobacco shop and calling the lady who lives upstairs - casa e putiga was the base once upon a time - and buying anise sweets and Mou candies!

It's nice to know that there is an artist who knows a lot of poets by heart and who paints a little some bricks of the houses around to give life to huge cracks of exaggerated depopulation.

It's wonderful to have a coffee in the bar in the square, talk to the owner and the customer who sips a beer in peace.

The hinterlands are beautiful when you stop to experience it and discover it through the eyes, the hands, the voice, the stories of the people who resist there!
