Ya’ll fw a couple MORE Mr. Puzzles hcs?
Cause I got them :}
Tumblr media
He was gifted the hat by his mom. It’s a permanent part of him with how much he’s worn it.
He gets it, and won’t say anything about it, but he hates it when he regarded as just the scary “tv” head guy. He’s much more than a pretty screen, people!
The pants are custom made and he has like 20 pairs. He also has several pairs of his shirt and vest.
Will change the second there’s a spot on his clothes. He needs to remain as pristine as possible.
If he wasn’t a workoholic, he’d beat all the moms at candy crush. He’d try to be a literal god at candy crush, and would honestly buy extra lives if he was furious with how the match went and he ran out.
Plays computer solitaire to distract himself when the ratings aren’t good or he needs a mental reset.
Adding to these two, since he has computer elements in his brain (probably), he can probably predict where the game is going to go. The older the console, the easier it is.
He’d be a god at minesweeper.
Does not and will not swear no matter how bad it gets.
If he goes to a concert, he’ll just be doing the equivalent of maladaptive daydreaming the whole time, planning out shows and movies for the songs
Loves the orchestra. He loves movie scores and would totally go to those events where there’s an orchestra playing the soundtrack live as the movie plays.
He’ll whine about not having friends or being able to talk to people but he will refuse to talk to anyone in public, going so far as to mute anyone who tries speaking with him. If he’s at an event and someone tries sparking a conversation with him, he’ll look away awkwardly and reply with “uh huh, yep, oh wow,” and so on until they leave. In a relationship, you could introduce him to people but he’s still be the same unless you were apart of the conversation.
Tumblr media
Loves movie/show trivia but it’s a double-edge sword. If you take him on a date to a bar for movie trivia night, he’ll have fun and get everything right (and infodump a lot) but a question will pop up and the official answer will be wrong and Mr. Puzzles will just go ballistic.
Canonically has hammer-space abilities in the shows and can pull out anything he needs. Need a first-aid kit? Got it right here. Emergency costume? Has your size in multiple colours to choose. Someone pissed you off? Just say when and he’ll have something ready.
He doesn’t have proper heating in the studio(since he doesn’t need it) and the place is freezing when there’s the slightest breeze outside.
He uses different colognes and even used febreze a few times to smell his best, but he perpetually smells like cigarettes
He kins spongebob.
Technically canon but he’s an entrepreneur, and has multiple businesses (a tech company based on the keyboard from it’s gotta be perfect, selling the showgrounds). He also phrases puzzlevision as his “latest business venture,” in the movie’s teaser. He bounced between different businessed to earn enough money to buy the studio and the equipment he’d need.
With that being said, he’s unintentionally a con artist. Though he tries to have a somewhat clean business, he cuts corners often to get the products out sooner or doesn’t perform proper safety protocol. He doesn’t really care, though, as his main goal was and is Puzzlevision. He pretty much stopped the second he found the smg4 crew.
Terrible at art. He tries, but not even you can hold back your laugh if you see his art.
If he hasn’t slept for a while his voice is warped and a little glitched.
I forgot if I already posted this but his underpants are so those heart boxers but instead of hearts they’re stars.
Tumblr media
So real quick, I just wanted to say that ONE OF MY HEADCANONS HAS BE CONFIRMED LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! It is now confirmed that Mr. Puzzles CAN speak multiple languages, but still needs subtitles. God, I love being right /j
Fr tho, it’s really awesome having him back so soon. Maybe a little early, but I’m not complaining lol. From the sounds of it, he’ll be a reoccurring villain like SMG3 used to be, which I’m honestly relieved by. It’ll be rlly refreshing having a silly antagonist again honestly. I’m looking forward to seeing more of this fricken nerd lol
Also if you guys have any suggestions or requests please let me know! Questions and comments are also appreciated! Thanks and have a great day!

Okay but consider? Has Tim ever seen Ra's post-Critical Injury Lazurus Dip? Like not "oooh, I am back to my sexy Dilf-y glory~" but FULL ON "I have been Hard Reset back to the Prime Of My Life(tm), which statistically is early 20s, and am now a Young and Hot prowling bad boy. With no Grey in my hair and a SLIGHLTY higher voice, meaning while I sound familiar, you can't instantly place it like you usually could."
THAT sort of Hard Reset.
Bet he hasn't.
Bet he'd have an even HARDER time recognizing Ra's in a Masquerade mask. If Ra's had a smooth, freshly shaven, face. I mean... it's not like Ra's an assassin cult leader or anything. Him? Knowing how to DISGUISE himself? When in his centuries of life would he have had time to learn THAT?
So there Ra's is. Looking rich, dangerous, and slutty. As one does. Tight black pants, loose poet shirt, gold and gems dripping like honey down his skin. The very PICTURE of a WEALTHY young trouble maker. Blending in with all these wealthy fools, up too no good, some of them far more then others.
That's why the Bats are here.
For Intel.
But of COURSE, Brucie Wayne has aged out of this sort of scene. Tut tut. And his waste of a grandson is just a touch too young. A shame. So it's the Detective and a few others, leading the charge. But... ah, SUCH a big building! And can the Wayne's afford to be seen at such a disreputable event?
Of course not.
So they're in disguise. Layers upon layers, Detective. Masks upon masks. Delightful~
Ra's gets to watch Tim work the room. Prowl in magnificent heels. Dodge covetous hands so casually it seems by accident. Extract information people have DIED to protect. Blonde, tonight. He looks better with hair like the night.
Ra's smiles like a wolf.
And begins to hunt his prey though a sea of masks.
Which is how Tim meets a VERY rougish, tall, and delightfully muscled heir too...something. It's kinda obvious, given all the jewelry. Swordsmen too, from what he can feel of those INTERESTING and calloused hands. Tim knows he should focus... but...
Mystery Hot Guy is REALLY forward. Clearly in to him. And it's not like he's gotta marry the guy.
Did he mention the DELIGHTFUL rumble? His voice has a low rumbling quality to it, when he leans in close so he can be heard over the music. His hands are hot and gripping in that "just a bit too tight but not TOO too tight" sorta way? So yeah... he's gonna... uuuuh, go... "question so informants" real quick. Get back to you guys later!
Don't wait up!
And Ra's? Knows the chance of this working more then once is close to zero. So it has to be LEGENDARY. Life changing. Dick so good it ruins the Detective's LIFE. He's got to make sure the next time they meet, the Detective wants to kill him AND fuck him in equal measure.
After all, the Bats have a "no kill rule". Oh dear, Detective. Really only leaves you one option, then, doesn't it?
So Ra's goes to absolute TOWN on Tim. Sinks down to his knees and eats him out til his legs won't hold him. Carries him to the bed to the guestroom they're about to absolutely DEFILE, too use far too clever fingers, to stoke that burning NEED back up. Too stretch and tease, as his mouth worships that chest. That neck. That clever, clever mouth.
Runs his free hand along magnificent skin, wishes he could grip hair like the finest ink as he savors Timothy's mouth. It all feels decadent. Ra's is patient. Aaaand, there, Tim rocking against his hand has turned for lazy pleasure (savoring the glow of a good orgasm) to demanding.
His hands, his kisses, are growing hungrier. Commanding Ra's to give him what he needs. Spoil him like a pampered little prince. Either worship and adore him, or he will find someone else who SHALL. How can Ra's refuse? He'd be a fool too.
A fool not to suck and bite branding little marks upon that magnificent skin. A fool not to hike up those powerful hips a grind and tease with his length, until Timothy's sharp little nails dig into his flesh in warning. A gods forsaken incompetent, to NOT sink into that magnificent heat, pressed so close he can hear that breath taking little gasp of pleasure, as the thickness of himself presses wider and deeper then any BOY the Detective as ever taken.
Ra's AL Ghul is no fool.
But he IS a VERY giving lover.
Especially when he has something to gain from it. And oh, how it is a struggle not show the victory on his face. It would not do, to give the game away at the last moment. He knows better. So he moves his hips just so. Rolling at just the right angle. To grind with in as he thrusts, to grind against as he moves, his body angled just right to tease the Detective's clit.
Strong, calloused hands teasing what feels like EVERYWHERE. That deep rumbling voice monologing a god damned speech on how good Tim's body feels, how perfect he is, how sexy. That cock hitting everything over an over in a way marksmen would WEEP with jealousy at. Tim is pretty sure his brain is melting. Hook up too good, fuck why he came here actually. The others can handle it.
Will he later admit he fucked up? Probably. But that's when he gets the ability to reason again. Right NOW all he can think is a series of frantic porno noises and variations of the word "More". Turns out fumbling around with your teammates is NOT actually a good frame of reference for "what is Sex and how good does it feel?".
Tim doesn't even notice, two position changes and several orgasms later, when he loses his wig. His face is buried in Mystery Hook Up's shoulder, drooling and clinging, as he's worked up and down that mind melting cock like a toy. All that HE registers is that it feels nice to have that stuffy thing off and fingers running through his hair.
His family, though? Freaking out. Tim left with an "informant" (their ASS) and never showed back up. They've all HAD the traumatizing Honeypot Talk from Bruce. They KNOW Femme Fatales are a thing. Homme Fatales are a thing! Did someone send a sexy assassin after Tim!?
Soooooorta.
Dick, powered by the sheer force of Brotherly Murder-Panic and 👌close to showing the world why he and FUCKING DEATHSTROKE have a weird decade long "Thing(tm)" going, kicks down the door to waaaay too many random hook ups... until he eventually find the RIGHT hook up.
Where Timmy ain't got no bones. He be truely, magnificently, well fucked and boneless. A cooked noodle. Orgasm machine ran dry and he can see the shrimp color, Captain. He's cuddling a sex god and actively plotting to tattoo his phone number somewhere on this guy's body. Who CARES where he lives. Tim will MAKE it work. How you feel about breakfast?
Ra's is the exact flavour of Lounging Smug Bastard you imagine.
It's not even smirking "pleased with himself" territory anymore. It's full on "if a tiger were turned into a human, got revenge on the bastard who did it, and was lounging around feeling pleased with itself covered in blood" grinning. Because NOW, he has won.
Dick is, of course, going to break every bone in this Mystery Bastard's body. Jason. Hold him.
Which... just as Tim is about to throw a lamp in defense of his new Sex... something, Robin kicks the window open because "fuck it, I'm helping. Timothy may be an idiot. But he's OUR idiot and you've clearly seduced him with some sort of evil demonic sex magic, you fiend, time to fight." Etc etc.
Only then Hot Hook Up takes of his mask.
He.... He looks a LOT like Damian. A concerning amount. Like... if you were to say, take away the Wayne traits, he'd be almost identical.
Tim is ALSO not a fool.
That grin is very familiar. Those EYES are a shade he knows INCREDIBLY damn well. And oh sweet fuck on a stick he boned Ra's AL Ghul.
And it was amazing.
DAMN IT!!!
Does Tim absolutely HATE that Ra's was right? That Tim SHOULD consider sleeping with him? Yes. Is Tim going to do it again? According to the flashcard forcefully handed to him by his Father, ahem, "No. We do not sleep with Supervillians. We have self control." So... noooooooo, of course not. He would NEVER. Don't be absurd.
(Yes.)
-🐼🐼🐼
tim knows he shouldnt but also knows bruce has no moral highground to say 'dont sleep with supervillains 😭

Stuck in a bad mood? No worries, here’s how to flip it real quick.
Vibe check yourself...
Take a moment to ask, "Why am I feeling this way?" Sometimes you gotta dig a bit to figure out what’s messin' with your vibe.
Catch some Zzz’s...
Sleep can be the ultimate reset button. As they say, tomorrow is another day – sometimes, all you need is a good nap to switch things up.
Treat yo’self...
Whether it’s a snack, some retail therapy, or binging that show, a little self-care can turn the tide when you're feeling off.
Move it, don’t lose it...
Get your body movin’. A quick workout or a dance-off in your room can get those endorphins poppin’. Like they say, a rolling stone gathers no moss.
Unplug to recharge...
Step away from social media for a bit. Sometimes a digital detox is all you need to feel human again. Remember, out of sight, out of mind.
Talk it out...
Hit up a friend. A quick rant or heart-to-heart can clear the air. A problem shared is a problem halved.
Switch the playlist...
Music has the power to shift the whole mood. Go from sad boi/girl vibes to something that makes you feel like a boss. Change the tune, change the mood.
Do something for the plot...
Step out of your comfort zone and do something spontaneous. Like they say, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

All of Witch Switch Part 5!
I'm going to take a little break between part 5 and 6, partly because I'm busy, and partly because I'm pretty sure drawing part 6 is gonna kick my ass. Nothing super long, just 2 or 3 weeks. So. I'll be back soon!
Part 4
Part 6
Masterpost
Transcript under the cut
Cover: Net Trap
[Phillip is wandering through the woods near the Cardinal House]
Phillip: A witch. Out of all the possibilities, I cannot believe—oh, no, does this mean Jacob was right?! He’s going to be insufferable. He can never find out about this. But if witches are real, then the witch hunts… the Noceda disappearance… Does that mean—
[Before he can finish his thoughts, a rope snaps, and a net swoops Phillip up]
P: AUGH! [struggling] I knew she was planning something! She’s going to kill me and—and serve me up as a dish to an unwitting Caleb!
[Bushes rustle, and Kikimora jumps out, pointing]
Kikimora: HA! I’ve got you at last, Card—[she stops, surprised]. Wait a minute…
[Cut to Phillip, who looks just as surprised as her]
P: Wait, if it’s not Evelyn, then who…?
K: …You’re not the Clawthorne.
P: [Grouchy] Of course it’s still her fault.
[Kikimora lets Phillip out of the net]
Kikimora: Geeze, now I gotta reset the trap, thanks for nothing. What are you doing wandering out around here, anyway? Don’t tell me you’re after the bounty, too! I’m staking a claim on the woods! Go set up somewhere else!
Phillip: Bounty? What are you talking about? What bounty?
K: [incredulous] Evelyn Clawthorne? The Cardinal Criminal? 100,000,000 snails for her capture?
P: [disembodied] Is that a lot? I’m new in town.
K: Whatever, it’s not really about the bounty for me, anyway. Once I turn her in to the local authorities, they’ll let me into the Empress’ Guard, and I, Kikimora of Palm Stings, will finally be top dog, as I deserve. I just… need her to wander out into a trap out here.
[Cut to Phillip, jabbing his thumb behind him]
P: Do you not know where she lives? Big house thattaway, can’t miss it.
K: [disembodied] It’s not the location that’s the problem, no one can get in. There are some strong enchantments on that house, old enchantments. I can’t step foot across the doorway unless someone who lives there invites me in.
[A lightbulb goes off in Phillip’s head]
P: Heeeyyyyy, so if you were in the Empress’ Guard… that’s a prestigious sort of thing, right? You’d have access to resources, resources that could be used to saaaaayyyyy… search for lost things? Specifically lost things that fell into the ocean?
K: [disembodied] Very likely. Why?
P: [grinning evilly] Perfect. Kikimora, I’ve got a little proposition for you…
[Phillip walks back into the Cardinal House, sweating]
Phillip: Heeeeey, Evelyn! I’m back! Very resigned to my fate of living with you until we can get back to the human realm and ready to… not betray you.
Kikimora: [muffled, from his backpack] I cannot believe this is working
Evelyn: [concerned] Phillip? Are you okay? You’re acting… weird. er. Than usual.
P: [rushing out of the room] Probably just the shock setting in, okay, see you later, bye! [he unzips the backpack] Okay, we gotta do this quick, quick, quick, she’s getting suspicious.
[Kikimora pops out of the backpack]
K: Leave it to me
[Evelyn wanders into the hallway]
Evelyn: Hey, Phillip, are you sure you’re—
[A net drops down on her, glowing ominously]
E: AUGH! What—Phil-LIP!
[Kikimora and Phillip pop out of hiding, Kikimora riding on Phillip’s back]
Kikimora: Haha! At last, Cardinal Criminal, you fall to me, Kikimora of Palm Stings! You never suspected I’d lay a trap for you in your own home!
E: [disembodied] You?! How did you get in here?
Phillip: I let her in. You’re under arrest, Evelyn.
[Cut to annoyed Evelyn]
E: Phillip, she’s not actually a guard member, she’s just a wannabe! You’re not actually arresting me!
[Cut to triumphant Kikimora]
K: Save it for the Cursebreaker. You’re going straight to the Ward, criminal.
[open on the Ward (this universe’s conformatorium). Evelyn, still in the magical net, is dragged off by guards]
Evelyn: When I get out of here, you are dead, Phillip, dead, do you hear me?
Phillip: [smirking] I’ll be long gone in the human realm by then. Enjoy your sentence, Evelyn.
[Cut to Kikimora, talking to The Cursebreaker (Red Fang)]
Red Fang: [clearly done with her] I’ll have your reward shortly. You’ve done a great service for your community, the titan thanks you, goodbye.
Kikimora: Look—about that—I was hoping this capture could serve as a recommendation to join the Empress’ Guard. See, I—
[Red Fang laughs]
RF: A runt like you? Join the Empress’ Guard? Don’t make me laugh. You got lucky.
[Cut to crestfallen Kikimora]
RF: [disembodied] Go back to school, kid. Take your reward money and pick a different dream job. You’ll never make it to the Guard.
[Phillip comes up to her]
P: So, how’d it go? Are they going to look for the key?
K: [wincing] Well, see, about that…
[End Part 5]

Okay I hear what everyone was saying about the Time Has A Twin AU, and it sparked a semi-related tangent in my head so now I have to share it with y'all:
What if Dark Link...is actually The Fallen Hero/Time from the Downfall Timeline?
Lemme take a step back real quick. According to Hyrule Historia: In the Downfall Timeline, Link dies during the final fight with Ganondorf. But, theoretically, the Downfall Timeline could occur at any point, if Link died prematurely.
This will loop back around, I swear; but during the events of OoT, you gotta be Adult Link to get into the Water Temple. And where do we find Dark Link? The Water Temple.
My theory/au/whatever is, in the Downfall Timeline, Child Link accidentally found some way into the Water Temple early. And, not having the Zora Tunic, he ended up drowning. Then some evil force -- could just be Ganondorf, or it could be the malice behind Demise's curse, or whatever -- comes along, revives Child Link and tortures him, corrupting him into Dark Link with evil magic.
Hylia doesn't like that her hero died -- so she "resets" the game, thereby creating the 2nd Timeline (which later splits into the Child and Adult Timelines), and Link goes through everything the right way this time (so no early Water Temple). But that same evil force decides that this is the perfect opportunity to hurt the hero again, so it takes the now-adult Dark Link and imprisoned him in the Water Temple to fight a "more successful" (or, perhaps, more lucky) version of himself.
This achieves two things: 1. Tormenting 2nd Timeline Link by fighting his own dead corpse, and 2. Forcing the formerly dead child-turned-adult to fight to the death in his own tomb. Two traumatized heroes for the price of one
This could even be why Dark Link seems to hate Time so much...🤔
okay I'm done thank u for your time 😅
Ah- So this is how it all connects together then. XD
That would make more sense instead of just throwing Dark Link as Time's twin and calling it good. And of course, it had more traumatic irony for our poor Hero of Time because the universe like to throw all that it can at the poor guy.

Oyuba'din - Epilogue
Summary: A familiar scene plays out...almost
Warnings: canon typical violence, Big Ouchie type feelings
Author's Note: *gonzo voice* this looks familiar, vaguely familiar No but for real, if it hadn't been for the love and support y'all have sent my way, I don't think I would've had the inspiration to finish this, let alone start a sequel! This fic will be going up on AO3 sometime in the near future, and I will be writing and posting the sequel fic Jari'eyc in a couple weeks!
Make sure you leave me a comment or reblog in the notes below, or submit an update to your taglist request here if you want to be added to the taglist for Jari'eyc! The taglist will be resetting, so make sure you let me know if you want to see more!

The group stalked quietly through the labyrinth of hallways, narrowly avoiding other troopers.
“We’re not going to get very far without our gear,” Tech sighed.
“They started moving all your things to the hangar,” Omega told Hunter. “Your gear might be there, too.”
Hunter nodded. “This way.”
The squad ran into the hangar as Tech opened the door, searching through the rows of crates for their gear.
“Alright, boys, suit up,” Hunter ordered, finding a crate filled with his own armor. “Let’s make this quick.”
The squad dug into the cargo, pulling out various pieces of equipment.
Wrecker groaned, mumbling softly to himself.
“Tech, Echo, power up the ship,” Hunter said. “The rest of us will go after-”
“I don’t think we’ll have to go far,” Omega whispered.
Wrecker’s mouth fell open. “Is that-”
“Jaine?” Crosshair breathed. He could feel his heart shattering as Jaine entered with a whole squad, herself clad in new, darkly colored armor. She removed her helmet, crimson hair falling to her shoulders, now streaked with stark white.
Time seemed to stand still, even as the rain pounded against the hangar, punctuated by thunder and flashes of lightning.
Hunter swallowed and stood, catching Jaine’s eye.
“Stand down, Sergeant. Don’t make this harder than it needs to be.”
A chill ran down Crosshair’s spine. Her melodic voice sounded eerily robotic now. Was this really their Jaine or a just very convincing droid?
“Jaine,” Hunter pleaded. “What are you doing? It’s us.”
“I read the report of your mission on Kaller. I also read the report from the captain of that battalion, who doubts your report. You should have killed that Jedi kid,” she said, sounding almost bored.
“Jaine, this isn’t you,” Hunter pleaded. “You’ve got to snap out of it. We’re your family!”
“I have no family,” Jaine roared, anger already receding as she winced, hand almost rising to touch her head. “You went against orders. That cannot be tolerated.”
“I did what I thought was right.”
Jaine scoffed, unimpressed. “What a shame it is that you’ve never been able to see the bigger picture. Surrender. Now.”
Hunter’s eyes darted away from Jaine to the rest of his squad, reluctantly pulling themselves into ready positions, and Omega, hunkered down behind a crate.
“Is that an order, Lieutenant?”
Jaine bristled. “It is now.”
With one last glance at his squad - his family - Hunter smirked ever so slightly.
“Guess I’m disobeying that one, too.”
Hunter could hear the crackles of electricity sparking at Jaine’s fingertips. He kept his eyes on her, waiting for her to make the move, but praying she wouldn’t.
With a sharp grunt from Jaine, a streak of lightning flew out towards Hunter, who barely dodged it.
As the troopers with her began firing on the squad, Hunter dove behind the crate as his brothers fired back.
Jaine growled, forcing her hands out in front of her, red smoke pouring from her palms, filling the space between her and her old squadmates. Pressing a button on her new helmet, she could see the heat signatures of each of them. Wrecker and Crosshair behind one set of crates, Hunter and the girl behind another. She hurled a few more bursts of lightning towards them, hitting their cover hard.
“Tech, we gotta move,” Hunter growled through the comms. “Now.”
“We’re working on it,” Tech answered, hands flying across the control panels.
“Wrecker, clear the smoke on three,” he ordered.
“You got it, boss,” Wrecker nodded, grabbing a few lids from the crates.
“Omega, stay low,” he said. “One…two-”
“Three!” Wrecker shouted, jumping up from the cover to use the lids as fans, before sending one of them flying towards the regs. Jaine barely dodged the second one as it kareened towards her.
Wrecker reached for the blaster strapped to his back, but Jaine was faster, sending a fast shot from her blaster towards him, clipping his shoulder.
He shouted in pain as he fell, his helmet flying off and landing next to him.
Omega stood up, starting to jog towards the large heap Wrecker lay in.
“Omega! Don’t!” Hunter shouted, grabbing her arm and pulling her back, the shot Jaine intended for her missing by a few short inches. “She’s using him as bait.”
“But he needs help!” Omega protested.
“Tech,” he growled. “We’re out of time!”
“Almost got it,” came Tech’s reply as the thrusters came to life, catching Jaine’s eye.
“What are you waiting for?” she shouted at the reg closest to her. “Seal the bay door!”
The reg nodded, rushing to the control panel to hit the appropriate button.
Hunter watched, a deep dread forming at the pit of his stomach as the doors to their exit began to close. But then they stopped, despite the alarms still blaring.
Jaine’s head whipped around to the reg at the panel.
“Sir, someone’s overriding the controls!”
She growled. Watching the heat map of the squad.
Hunter kneeled next to Omega. “When I say ‘go’, you head for that ramp, and don’t stop, got it?” She nodded and he turned to face Crosshair. “Cross, we go for Wrecker.”
Jaine watched across the hangar. “Only one way out, Hunter. Your move.”
“Go!” Hunter shouted, popping up to lay down cover fire as Omega and Crosshair ran behind him.
Jaine came out from behind her cover, energy surging at her fingertips.
She raised her hands, vision locked on to Crosshair, Wrecker, and Hunter.
A single shot sounded; a stun round hitting Jaine’s hand, knocking her to the ground.
Omega lifted her head from the rifle, steam flowing from the barrel. As the others got up, so did Jaine, pulling her blaster from her waist as Omega began to fire off more shots until her brothers were on board, the shots from Jaine merely hitting the surface of the hull. The Marauder rose and exited the hangar as Jaine wrenched her bucket off, scowling up as the ship escaped.

My favorite bits from the Minnesota post-game press interviews after PWHL Finals Game 4
You can find the entire interviews here! Be sure to give them some views/likes/nice comments/etc.
At the table were Kendall Coyne Schofield, Kelly Pannek, and coach Ken Klee.
The fact that this only got posted now had led me to earlier speculating that they just hadn't done one (especially since no one had mentioned anything). But apparently there had been some technical issues with this one and they only just got them sorted.
Like the Boston one, I'll refrain from my instincts towards making my life easier and just put in all the questions, so as to make sure that anyone interested won't miss anything they might find interesting.
The transcription and a handful of my thoughts on it after the break.
------------------
------------------
REPORTER: Ken, when you started looking at the replay did you think the goalie interference call was the right one?
KEN KLEE: I mean, it’s tough. When it’s in real time it doesn’t look like it, but obviously when you see the replay and slow it down she definitely loses an edge. It’s tough to tell if it’s from Boston player’s stick or she’s just losing an edge. It’s just one of those things that happens. We had lots of chances to win the game. So for us, we get to play another game. That’s the way we gotta look at it. It wasn’t a do-or-die for us, but obviously that one hurt, going from a big high when they’re- the confetti’s going and gloves are coming off. And then you gotta try to refocus real quick. But we get to play another game, so we’re gonna regroup after this one. It hurt and we’ll get back to work.
R: Maybe for Kendall, or Kelly, can you maybe speak to what Ken mentioned? Just the having to collect your stuff and get back ready to go. Just, what’s that like?
KENDALL COYNE SCHOFIELD: Like he mentioned, obviously it’s a high of a high to a alright we’ve gotta balance out this situation, pick up our stuff, and get back to work. You know, it’s not an easy thing to come down from by any means in an instance. But that’s what we had to do. Obviously it is hard, but that was what we had to do.
------------------
------------------
REPORTER: Maybe I’ll ask a follow-up for Kelly, your line had several great chances today. It seemed like you guys were really clicking. What’s working with you, Grace, and Denisa [Křížová]?
KELLY PANNEK: Just keeping it simple. Moving off the puck, moving for each other, and trying to keep that puck moving in the offensive zone. Denisa is really scrappy and she finds a way to find pucks in space and create space. She had a few great rushes. Her and Grace- and anytime you get Grace into space she’s a threat. I just think we’ve been keeping it simple and working off each other well.
------------------
------------------
REPORTER: For anyone, how would you say that the momentum shifted after the goal was overturned?
KELLY PANNEK: I was out there the shift right after, for that first puck drop. I didn’t feel like there was any really big momentum shift to be honest. Even when they ended up scoring, it wasn’t like they had a bunch of momentum riding into that, it was just a hockey play that happens after two overtimes. Actually, to Kendall’s point earlier, we did a good job of resetting. Sometimes the bounces just don’t go your way, which it wasn’t tonight for us.
------------------
------------------
REPORTER: Obviously great goaltending from both teams tonight. To have over 20 shots taken on your goalies and to go scoreless into double overtime. What’s your thoughts on the goaltending tonight?
KENDALL COYNE SCHOFIELD: Well, I don’t think it’s just tonight. [Kendall and Kelly chuckle]. It’s been the whole year. You look at the goaltenders around the league in the regular season, you look at our last series against Toronto, you look at their series against Montréal. You’re not seeing very high scoring games. You kinda just gotta expect that, you gotta be okay winning one-nothing. But this league is obviously the most competitive league in the world and the goaltenders are phenomenal all across the league. So I don’t think it’s a shocker by any means.
------------------
------------------
REPORTER: Kelly, how were the legs in that third overtime? And were you guys doing in-between the OTs to try and keep the energy levels up?
KELLY PANNEK: The legs were fine actually. That’s probably the longest game I’ve played in actually. But it felt pretty good. It’s just kinda the same thing you usually do: talk about what’s going well and what you can adjust, staying focused, hydrating, getting a snack. Just all the basics.
------------------
------------------
REPORTER: Just wondering, after the game stayed out on the ice and thanked your fans and then it look like the players were talking. Just wondering what the message was in there? And if not there, in the dressing room what you were saying to one another?
KENDALL COYNE SCHOFIELD: Oh, yeah, I think we have the best fans in the league. They showed up tonight, obviously we wish we got a different result for them, but just so much credit and love for our fans here in the state of hockey. It was an awesome atmosphere. So just to be able to soak that in one more time, knowing that no matter what, that’s the last time we’ll leave that ice in front of our home crowd. We know they’ll be cheering on Wednesday from here, wherever they may go. I think A Bar of Their Own is the hot place for them to go and celebrate and watch and cheer us on.
But I think the message is to learn from it and turn the page and be ready to go come Wednesday night and do what you need to do. There’s no secrets. Everyone’s tired. [laughing] We’ve played a lot of hockey. I think a lot more hockey than most of us are used to in this inaugural season. We gotta recognize that we did a lot of great things tonight. A bounce here, a bounce there, we’d maybe be having a different conversation right now for sure. But being able to turn the page and recognizing the last one to win is the hardest one. That’s the reality for anything. I think that was the message. Rest up. [Laughing] some people’s legs feel better than other [looks over at Kelly and Kelly smirks back].
KELLY PANNEK: I think I’d just be lying to myself. We’ll talk about it later.
KCS: It might just be an age thing, Kell.
KP: Hey! Hey. District 21.
------------------
------------------
REPORTER: For Ken, last I checked, so forgive me if this is wrong, but Lee Stecklein led all skaters tonight in ice time. Just what does she mean to this group?
KEN KLEE: She’s awesome. She’s a leader. Both on the ice and off. You know, she controls the play. She’s got as good of a stick and gap as anybody in the league. For us she’s paramount. She’s awesome out there for us. I’m not surprised. I haven’t seen the minutes yet, but I’m not surprised for you to tell me that she probably led us in minutes tonight. She often does. She’s just a great player for us. She’s been a great player for us all year. [smiling] We’ll need her to be a great player again on Wednesday.
------------------
------------------
REPORTER: The power play opportunities, plentiful, just couldn’t finish the job there. What do you feel like it’s gonna take to crack the code on the power plays?
KEN KLEE: I think we just gotta keep putting pucks on nets. I think we hit four posts. A half-inch off one way or the other and those are in the net. We had some great looks and their power play had some great looks too. It was an exciting game, it was just a matter of inches. The whole game was. For us this one hurts, but we’re going to have to reset and we’ll have a day tomorrow to rest and we’ll travel to Boston and get ready to go on Wednesday.
------------------
------------------
You know, I was worried about where Minnesota's head might be at (especially after it was seeming like they hadn't even done a post-game press session). But not anymore! These two were Cool A.F.
WAY different vibes from where Boston was at after Game 3.
Kendall and Kelly had a sort of fun energy I can only describe as the sort you get after pulling an all-nighter where you've pushed past the tiredness and entered a state where all your worries seem lighter. They were joking with one another and seemed to know exactly what they needed to do going forward.
And Pannek must be made out of pure Tough, because you could never never tell that she just did 5 periods of hockey. If you showed me some clips from this and told me it was from a PRE-game press conference I would never doubt you for a second.
It should be noted though that these two are both captains of the team, veteran players, and Olympic gold medalists (and SO much more). So them taking this in stride is exactly what you want to see from your veteran players.
I am curious how the more rookie players are taking it. But if your team's leadership is this calm and focused, I've gotta think that would go a long way to helping get your head back on the right track. And I hope so, because I think Minnesota's rookies are the X-factors in this series. As we've seen so far this series when players like Heise and Jaques get rolling? They are hard to stop.
In any case my worries have been put to bed, and my take away from this is that Game 5 is gonna be EPIC. Boston seems to do their best work when they have everything on the line. And Minnesota has a confidence in its abilities that can't be shaken.
OR one team will finally figure out their power play game and then just absolutely run over the other team.
It's the championship after all.
Anything can happen.

I Beat Final Fantasy XIII-2
Tumblr media
If I had a nickel for every time travel RPG I played in 2024 I would have two nickels
This is a game that I've been meaning to play for a good long while now. I beat the first XIII in... 2020, if Steam is correct, so it's been quite a gap between this and that. I liked XIII-1 (as I will heretofore refer to it) well enough. It was one of the first FFs I was ever exposed to (alongside XI and FFTA), so in my quest to play all the mainlines, it was a high priority at the time. I liked the main party, I liked the world, I was Not Great at the combat (fuck Barthandelus), and overall I definitely didn't hate it as much as the general public did/does. Subsequent entries that I played left more of an impact/a higher positive impression on me, however. I think the two biggest reasons for that are 1. I was bad at the combat so it was hard and 2. It didn't really have a strong supporting cast and villains to me. XIII-2, I feel like it centered itself around being everything that XIII-1 was not; and overall, I think it very much worked. Let's talk about why!
Last Things First: 900AF
Real quick I just want to get my biggest complaint out of the way and it is something that I do not hold against the game itself at all I hold it against Square; the PC port sucks shit. I had to mod it to make it playable. What The Fuck. It didn't run as good as it should, and sometimes it would break and I'd have to reset and lose my progress! Square: fix your shit you small indie company anyways:
Gameplay: 003AF
XIII-1, as everyone probably knows at this point, is a linear game. It's also a slow burn type of game; you very gradually get all your stuff and your party together as you run through Cocoon, and when you land on Pulse is when the game really opens up. The game is gogogogo all the way forward no looking back, which to be fair works narratively.
XIII-2 is not that at all. When it comes to the battle system and your paradigms and all that, you're pretty much thrown right into it from the start. You have your whole party of 2 people, the crystarium is good to go, it feels like the game is saying "yeah you know what this is go do it". When it comes to the levels/story, yes it's technically linear, but as this is a time travel game, it's split up into different levels of different areas at different times that you can move back and forth freely and can even reset and replay if you need/want, which is really cool! I loved it. Also, on top of your 2 characters, the game has a whole monster collecting/leveling bit that works as the 3rd member of the party.
I think when it comes to the battle system, I jived with it a lot more than XIII-1. There's a couple factors that make this;
The lack of party members. With the paradigm system, you're already switching your jobs and roles constantly throughout battle. In XIII-1, everyone had their own niche, so you had to worry about picking the right character As Well as the right paradigm, not to mention if you have someone you like you might never really be able to make them work. When you just have 2, your main focus is on what paradigms you need, when you need to use them, and the bulk of the customizability lies in your monsters. I really liked that.
The flow of battle felt smoother. Unlike XIII-1, switching between paradigms is quick and reactionary. This makes battles high speed and actiony despite it still being a menu based RPG. "Oh shit! big attack coming, I gotta switch to Tortoise quick enough!" Despite me making mistakes occasionally due to Being Clumsy, I still enjoyed that aspect.
I think the difficulty of the game was overall easier. Now I can get for some people this is a bad thing, but again, I wasn't really good at XIII-1 (fuck you Barthandelus), so feeling like I can actually play this game made me very happy. It's also possible that I'm just a better gamer in the 4-5 years since then, but this is about my experience, I'm not doing a serious game review or anything lmao
And as I mentioned up above, I really did like the "world map" (time map) that the game operated on. Nothing was truly missable, I could grind, I could go back and get monsters that are apparently broken, and because of the nature of this being a time travel game, the fact that you would go back and forth between the same location was really fun and honestly something you Have to do if you wanna make this style of game work.
Couple other things I appreciated: The fragments. Having tidbits of lore or funny dialogue behind these side quests felt really nice, and a good way to more naturally tie the datalog into the actual flow of the gameplay. Also, how the random encounters worked, and the Mog Clock. Even though it's the classic RPG random battle, it lets you actually react properly to it. You can attack early, or run away. Yet it also takes what XIII-1 had with different enemies behaving differently in the overworld. You see a lobo spawn and you think "yeah I'm not running away from this let me get the preemptive attack." It actually adds skill to what is classically completely random. Although the slashing and attacking is a little clumsy.
However, as in anything, there are flaws. I have 2 major ones: the crystarium, and monsters. The Crystarium is THEORETICALLY cool. It's a chill, manual way to level which is always very fun, and a part of XIII-1 that I really enjoyed. However, every move you make is PERMANENT. It is SO EASY to accidentally fuck up your whole build by pressing one button and then you have to either deal with the consequences which can lead to you not being able to do some of the endgame content, or reloading which means Numbers% progress is gone. Like, at least it could have given a confirmation, or an animation of it moving ala XIII-1, or what it should have been; The Option To Fucking Go Back While You're Leveling. Because the game just throws you into the meat, it's SO EASY to fuck it all up from the start without truly understanding, which is what happened to me. I had to reload a couple times before I could really start. Monsters also have this issue, but it's a little better because you can just get another guy so it's not nearly as permanent. I can't get a new Noel (it's a time travel game I should be allowed to get a new Noel); no, the problem with monsters, and I don't have a solution for this I just know I didn't like it, was the drop chance and the materials needed. Just... fucking drop the monster I want. And then I gotta find the singular monster that is the only source of endgame crystals for my guy and he never spawns and even when he does and even if I beat him and get 5 stars I still might not get the thing; it was annoying, I hated it, those are my major problems with the gameplay that actually felt like they impeded my experience. Other than that though, XIII-2 is ABSOLUTELY an overall improvement over XIII-1.
Story: 015AF
I remember seeing complaints about the story before I played it, so I was nervous going in. But honestly? I liked it. I often saw people say "oh it retconned the ending of XIII" but like; yes. That was the point. Time broke and despite that ending happening, Serah was the only person who could recall it. Yeah, sure, time travel isn't for everyone and it's fucky, but I enjoyed it and I actually felt like it was solid and understandable all the way through, which is a big achievement for a JRPG lmfao, especially the sequel to a pretty confusing entry.
Another really big plus in XIII-2's favor is having a really good villain. The fal'Cie were kinda all over the place and I never found my fit, but Caius was enthralling. I COMPLETELY understood his motivation, his pain, and not to mention: he fuckin won. He got exactly what he wanted. I think Caius alone is the biggest reason why I enjoyed this story so much.
I really enjoyed the nature of paradoxes. Sure, it might not be the traditional definition of what a paradox is, but it was a nice overarching explanation. Time fucked up. This is why things is bad. This also leads to some really cool interactions of changing the past and future, as well as them all being interconnected. My personal favorite bit is in Augusta Tower 200AF when Serah and Noel are fighting the artificial fal'Cie; and the thing that saves them is Serah getting so frustrated with Hope that her feelings go through time, causing Hope to never start the project in the first place, leading to Adam not being able to throw itself into a Garland loop. I fuckin loved that bit so much.
As for things I didn't care for as much: I think the concept of Chaos was a little hard for me to wrap my brain around; what was it, why is Etro it, I could have used a little more explanation or like a datalog or something on that. Or maybe I'm just dumb! That's a possibility. I also felt that how it treated the previous cast was a little off. Now, as one of the 3 Hope Enjoyers, this game was fucking HUGE for me. I got to see that guy grow up and be cool and awesome and he was a mainstay and it made me very very happy. But when it comes to, say, Lightning and Sazh, I was a little iffy. Now, again, it's been a while since I've played XIII-1. I definitely don't remember the finer details, but something about Lightning being so willing to serve a godly force just felt off to me. Something about her felt still. Now, she has been in Valhalla for Numbers centuries, so that changes a person, but something still felt off to me. And Sazh; why did that poor man have to get stuck in the casino for like the whole plot off screen and then only appear at the end? I wish he was around more. I'll go more in depth in a second.
But regardless, I overall enjoyed the story and I think it stuck with me a lot more than XIII-1. The ending hurt, but I think knowing about Lightning Returns didn't make it hurt as much. This game definitely feels like it was made with a 3rd game in mind, for better or for worse.
Characters: 015AF
To get into a little more nitty gritty of my favorite aspect of any video game, as well as to double the length of my post, let me do my traditional List Of Characters And How I Felt About Them (I love these sections I hope other people do too)
Serah - Admittedly, Serah was a bit of a MacGuffin in XIII-1. She drives everyone to become l'Cie and then appears fine at the end. So there was a lot to build on and create here. I did really like her in the hero role, though. Sure, she's kinda plain, but I think the most charming aspects about her to me are her relationships with people feeling very healthy (girl main character not falling in love with boy main character??? holy shit (yeah she has a fiancee but that doesn't stop people)), and that little bit of "meanie Miss Farron" that comes out. It's just the little things shown throughout that prove that Serah's actually quite strong willed.
Noel - I fuckin love Noel dude. This poor guy did not deserve ANYTHING that happened to him. This is a dude who deep inside just wanted his friends, his family, but the world could not give it to him. He was hurt by the past, and continues to be hurt in the future. He was such a good choice to be the deuteragonist, and the literal link between the past and the future.
Mog - Kupo. Mog's a little dissonant to the rest of the game's vibes, but I still like him. He's a moogle. It's hard not to like them. But I will say the kupos got to me after a while, kupo.
Caius - I already pretty much said this above but. Caius. God Damn. I kinda experienced him in Opera Omnia, but I don't think I truly appreciated him until now. The concept of an ageless warrior who's only purpose is to protect a girl/her reincarnations who constantly dies over and over and over and over which drives him to madness is wonderful (not in the sense that it's good for him but like, it's compelling). I completely understood Why he was doing what he was doing, despite like, obviously breaking time is not good. His goals, his design, his consistency in fights, his theme, all of it. It's a shame that he's in a sequel to a controversial entry, because I truly think he's one of the best FF villains.
Yeul - Similar to Serah in the previous game, Yeul (the Yeuls) are a bit of a MacGuffin to the plot. Which does stink, I think I would have appreciated a little more heart to heart with her, maybe some extended time in Noel's time with his Yeul. Regardless, good design, cool character concept.
Lightning - It stinks a little that she was in the background for so much of the game. As I said, something about her characterization in this entry felt off, but it's been a few years, so I could be wrong.
Hope - HOPE!!!!!! Hope is my favorite character in XIII-1, which I know is a hot take. I loved seeing him grown in this entry, I loved that he was so important to the story. It felt like a narrative rendition of his gameplay. He was the best medic, sitting back long range to help the party, and here, he stays behind in time, using his intellect to progress humanity and to save the world. I love Hope, man.
Alyssa - sus among us. It took me until the paradox ending where she fuckin gets arrested to really connect the dots of "oh she did a bad". I fully acknowledge that I could just be dumb and I missed some plot beats, but her character didn't feel well communicated to me. Regardless, I did LIKE the concept of her character. Someone who died in the main timeline being revived in the new one, and through paradoxes feeling something is wrong, and doing something about it. That's really fucking cool. I just wish it was a bit more apparent (or maybe I just need to slow down and read more sometimes!)
Snow - Snow is Snow. He is EXACTLY like he was in XIII-1. Hard headed idiot who runs off to be a hero. I understand he's not exactly likeable for a lot of people, but I do love that he's consistent. I really appreciated that sense of trust between him and Serah, they're getting married for a reason lmao, although maybe just a teensy bit more romance would have been nice? Just a crumb. Regardless, I do love this dumbass. Also, his l'Cieining being unexplained (or maybe I'm dumb) is another thing that convinces me that this game was made with a XIII-3 in mind.
Chocolina - If you had told me that the little baby chocobo in Sazh's afro was going to turn into a hot lady with a singsongy voice I would not believe you. What???
I think the thing about this game is while its cast is small, that core selection is really enjoyable. Those few people that you're with the whole game through. It's just a little rough when it's a sequel and it has to build off of that correctly. Some characters feel different, some were turned into crystal so they don't count, and some were sent to the casino dimension and weren't allowed to exist until the end :(
Graphics: 200AF
XIII-1 had a special sauce to it. That game is Fucking Gorgeous despite being 15 years old at this point. I don't know what they put in it to make it last so long. XIII-2 has a similar sauce. It's a little weaker, there's a little more roughness, I can see the facial expressions be a little stiff, but that sauce still remains. XIII is peak "Final Fantasy is on the cutting edge of visuals". My absolute favorite scene is the first phase final battle with Caius, on the beach of Valhalla. Something about the lighting against the water, against the sand, and against the characters, was stunning. I don't even pop off at things like this often but God Damn.
Music: 230AF
Fuck. Before I ever played this game, even back when I picked up Theatrhythm Curtain Call for the 3DS and I really only had XIV under my belt; the little selection of soundtrack I got hit different. XIII already has amazing music, but XIII-2 is Fucking Peak. I love it so much. The lyrical songs are earworms, the Aggressive Mixes when you get into combat, the battle themes, the slower themes, aaaaaaagh!!!!! It's got that XIII violin that goes insane, Caius's Theme has that grand, dark choir, you have symphonic, you have techno, you have slow piano moments, I cannot get enough of it. There were times where I would just sit in the Historia Crux, listening to the music. I know some people said that it doesn't always fit the game, and I get that, especially in the boss themes, but I didn't mind at all. I think it helps that I already loved the soundtrack before I played it, but even in gameplay and hearing these tracks a lot more frequently did not diminish ANYTHING. I think I gotta make another top 5 list.
DLC: 5XXAF
I did it! It was fine. Sazh's DLC was nice to give me context on what he was doing, plus a little Chocolina lore, but it's gambling. I'm bad at gambling. The fucking faces he made in the card games were absolutely hilarious though
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
why did they do this angle it's so funny
Lightning's was cool. Repeatable Caius battle, get better and better at it. Plus you get a real sauced up unit from it (still couldn't top Chichu)
The Coliseum was the real meat of this, and it was the last thing I did before going for the secret ending. All very cool fights, and I get another Gilgamesh battle. Fuck that Ultros and Typhon fight though holy shit I was getting pissed off.
The Future To Come Is What We Make: 700AF
Couple other thoughts I had that I couldn't think of where to put it: I think I would have liked just a single extra area. Something about the number of zones we got, felt like it was just a tad too small. Maybe Gapra Whitewood? Somehow? I dunno. Also, I liked the paradox endings. They were fun postgame bonuses, they fit really well into a game about time travel and changing the future or past, not to mention they cleanly slot into the time map and fragment systems. Just a bit of extra content that feels allowed to be fun or give extra info. Anyways:
Despite the fact that I've played SO many FFs, I've only 100%ed/Platinumed 3 of them. FFI and II (the pixel remasters), and now XIII-2. That's gotta say something about this game, that I actually wanted to go the full way and finish the whole thing. Despite my complaints, the monster grinding and the crystarium weren't enough to stop me, and the difficulty of endgame was something that I felt was approachable enough. While I would have liked some of the more grindy elements (AHEM MONSTERS) to be more consistent, it still feels like a game that was near perfectly sized. I don't usually do direct games one after the other, cause I need variety else I get really burned out, but this has me honestly considering going straight for Lightning Returns next. We'll see how that turns out.
8/10. An overall improvement over the first entry in gameplay and story. Despite it being clunky or annoying in some consistent areas, it regardless has that sauce that had me locked in.

"So much for that. Nothing like a little competition to get things moving right along, eh?
Anyway ya'll, please enjoy the 7.26.24 RL at last, either my knock off or their official one. They're basically the same lion anyway lmao"
Let's goooo!
Gotta go save up real quick. If at any point he runs out of stud slots after next slot reset, is it ok to send a Cape Bulrush?

genuinely hated when cards shifting from swipe to insert a few years back, simply never felt right, swiping was so much quicker, plus inserting just came with the increased chance of customers fucking it up which as someone who works retail was terrible news for me
LOVE the shift to tap though. so speedy. so easy. efficient. just feels right. far reduced chance of customer fucking up and when they do it's a matter of "you didn't hold it long enough" instead of "well you took the card out too soon so i gotta reset this real quick". just overall such a better system for the world

I know I've sent you enough asks about Poppy and Kingston... But now I've been thinking about their trip to Australia and now I HAVE to send you my thoughts on them in the Outback XD
Of course as usual, you don't have to answer right away, and whether these are true on Kingstons end is up to you ^^ and if you have any thoughts on this, I'd love to hear them!!!
First things first. The language/slang barrier. Can you inagine??? XD I did not confirm if your guys language was still the same around the 40's, but still!!! Like-
Kingston: *sees Poppy packing shoes that probably aren't the best for the Australian environment* Yeah, we're gonna get you some thongs, love.
Poppy: ... Honey, we're going to meet your parents??
I know that by then they've more than likely cleared some things up about their languages, but still, this was too hilarious for me not to include XD besides, hearing your boyfriend talk about bringing thongs to his parents' house would factory reset any American I bet XD
Poppy just- not at all being prepared for the Bush XD but also loving it!! She's not used to not having the sounds of the bustling yet dangerous city outside her window at night, but she definitely appreciates the lack of it. Having neighbors being literal yards apart and not having to worry about walking too loudly for people below you, etc. Of course Poppy still minds her manners, but it's very jarring and relieving for her out here ^^
Of course, Poppy on the farm. If Kingston was raised here, he can introduce Pops to the animals!!! And just in general, assure her woth the Australian wildlife... But also giving her a heart attack when he just calmly picks up a snake that snuck in their room that night, or wave a dismissal hand at a dingo XD (omg imagine if Kingston Kangaroo got into a fight with a human kangaroo!!! I wanna see that. And I want Poppy to see that and be very surprised what real-life kangaroos are like XDD)
Again, Poppy going through a culture shock with Australia. Idk if people in general in Australia don't care about filtering their words like Kingston, but if they do, ho boy Pops is in for a treat XD
Ok, time for your regularly scheduled angst. Poppy would be trying so hard to impress Kingstons parents. She's upping her etiquette to the max and is going to be stressing out about how Kings parents will perceive her :( though something tells me that Mr. And Mrs. Kingston will be quick to assure her ^^
All in all, it's a very surprising culture shock for her, but she loves it all the same and would love to move somewhere outside of the city with Kingston someday ^^
No. Never enough Poppy and Kingston XD
First off, coming from an Aussie, I can genuinly say that the thongs thing will never not be funny XDD Yes, I'm sure, hearing that would be a surprise for her 😅😄 And Kingston would know e x a c t l y what he's doing, cuz we are perfectly aware of American slang and non-slang XD He would just say it, smooth-faced, and move on. Rena will perpetuate the horror, too. So Ryan will have to let her in on the secret (whils King's whining that Ryan ruined his fun XD ). But eh 🤷‍♀️ There are other fun Aus Things to tease her with 😏
~
Poppy: OH, it's SANDALS! Oh my- thank goodness. Kingston how dare you do that to me!!
Kingston: Awww, Ry, you had to ruin the fun?
Ryan: I'm just being a friend. What she's really gotta worry about is the drop bears, anyway 😏
Poppy: Drop- Drop bears??
Rena: 😏 Mhm, scourge of Aus, those fucken drop bears.
Kingston: 😏😏😯 OOOOOOooooo you're right. When you're right, you're right, Ry. Don't worry Pops, I won't let those viscious cunts get you.
Poppy: W h a t???
~
Ahhhhh! Imagine bonfires with Poppy and Kingston's family!! XD They're out in the middle of nowhere so as long as weather permits, they can set up a nice fire and roast marshmallows, and look for the southern cross and orion, and listen to kookaburras!! God I'm suddenly so jealous XDD
Omg, Kingston introducing Poppy to the animals 💛💛💛 And don't forget- Kingston introducing Poppy to Aussie snacks!! Vegemite, Tim Tam's, Milo, twisties, anzac bickies, fairybread, lamingtons, pav, shapes, etc. Obviously some of these are more modern but hey, if they're toons they're immortal! Kingston showing Poppy how to Tim Tam Slam! ^^ (she will never be the same. Girl will be importing Tim Tam's to the US in order to tim slam them- )
Haha, as for how the regular person talks... yeah I guess their could a culture shock there 😄 It's not that fuck and cunt are every second word or anything but we're definitely not as sensitive about them as I think the US probably is (or at least older generations?). Cunt is for sure used as a term of endearment, especially if you're mixing with bogans XD I'm sure by that point Poppy will be used to that though from Kingston! XDD He's the most g e n u i n e aussie bloke XD Friendly, but loud and a little kinda scary.
Awwww, King's parents will l o v e Poppy!!! I'm basing them off of any and all of my aussie friends parents, so they're friendly and sweet and inclusive ^^ When Poppy arrives they just want her to r e l a x. 'We're not here to scare you sweetheart, our home is your home ^^ Now we were thinkin of frying up some fish for dinner, what do you think? We'll have whatever you want ^^'.

*Flowey mutters, feeling mighty embarrassed now about his favorite stories being fairy tales. Every else sounds so cool!He mutters his answer so people can barely hear.* I like James and the tomato stalk…
*He speaks louder and with more excitement now that that’s over with, adding onto it to make himself sound cooler.*
Uh, but I gotta agree with 1984! The torture scenes are so good. And the inner party has so much power over everyone else! That would have been so perfect to try out in one of my runs while I had the resets, but I imagine it'd need to take years to get to that point. I don't have that patience.
*He glances at Chara for a moment, then back to Kara. He might take up their offer to leave and talk about his their interests.* Hey, Kara? Do you know how much time do we have left before we resume? I wasn't to know if I have enough time for something.
(Kara) "Flowey, your favorite book sounds amazing! I mean technically Harry Potter's a fairy tale just made by a jackass! Anyways this should start in 10 minutes! We have time for whatever you have."
(Noelle) "Hey, Chara. Want to go on a quick walk!"
(Chara) "Why?"
(Noelle) "I think we should really take a walk Chara! *Whispered* To get away from them for a second."
(Chara) "Ah, okay! We're going on a quick walk!"
(Noelle) "*They walk out fast and Chara and Noelle are alone* Will you ever tell them the secret?"
(Chara) "My real question is, why haven't you? If it's because you feel bad about hurting Flowey..."
(Noelle) "No, it's something I can't trust you or anyone with."
(Chara) "Come on, I promise not to tell!"
(Noelle) "A promise like that isn't worth making."
(Chara) "Please! It's been nagging at me for years!"
(Noelle) "I've only been here a couple months."
(Chara) "Well, it felt like a year. I swear on Asriel's soul I won't tell anyone."
(Noelle) "You mean that?"
(Chara) "There are very few people I love more than Asriel. Of course, I mean it."
(Noelle) "Alright, I want to trap humans under a barrier."
(Chara) "What?"
(Noelle) "I've learned after seeing the atrocities committed by Clover that humans and monsters can't coexist. I wanted them to and tried my best but it didn't work. I knew the original barrier wouldn't work because humans hate everyone. So I thought to give the humans a piece of their own medicine with a few exceptions. Kara can stay since they're half both and deserve to be friends with Flowey. I could never tell them I'm Noelle because I'd rather they think I was dead than this."
(Chara) "What the fuck?!"
(Noelle) "That's all I'm saying right now."
(Chara) "No. That's not all you're saying. You can't just tell me you want to segregate humans and monsters, in the end. You've opened Pandora's box!"
(Noelle) "*Laughs a bit* Once I tell you how I'll achieve my goal, I'll never achieve my goal. ;). Now let's go back to Kara and Flowey. Oh and if you tell anyone about this, I'll kill you. Now let's go."
(Chara) "Fine. *Grabs Noelle's hand and tightens their grip until Noelle is in such pain she almost screams. They whispered* Because I put this on Asriel I'm not going to tell anyone but don't threaten me. I never promised not to kill you."
(Noelle) "Let go!"
(Chara) "No, let's just stay here a bit. *Makes sure no one's around and bites down hard on Noelle. They let her bleed out for a full minute. While this is happening Noelle can only stay in horror pleading with them to stop the pain. It hurts like a stab wound and almost gets infected.
(Noelle) "Please you made your point just stop it."
(Chara) "Did I make my point? I'm not so sure yet. You know for times like this I get some salt. *Grabs it and puts it right on the wound.* Do you like that?"
(Noelle) "I'll do whatever you want just stop this torture or I'll tell Kara!"
(Chara) "I'll tell them about your little plan then."
(Noelle) "You swore not to."
(Chara) "Asriel believes that I should've lived. He made me promise him that I'd never die for something stupid a long time ago. *Bites again.* If you're threatening me, you must be pretty stupid. *She starts to cry but Chara punches her until they stop. Then they whisper their final warning* Don't fuck with me. Now, let's get back to that court room. Oh and here's a butts pie. *Forcefedd it down her throat.* Now no one will know. Right, Noelle?"
(Noelle) "No one will know. *They walk back into the room. There is still 5 minutes left.*"
