Alright, I've had a thought. I still see an alarming number of people on here saying they won't vote in the presidential election because both parties are equally complicit in the genocide of Palestine, etc. Some people talk about doing direct action, and for domestic issues (queer, women's rights, etc) building community at home and creating mutual aid networks. Those are excellent things to do, of course!!! ,,,but there's no reason voting and giving mutual aid should be mutually exclusive. But some people remain resolved to not vote.

For those people who still plan not to vote, I'd like to ask: who benefits from you not voting? There's a lot of copy pasting of "a vote for anyone except the dem candidate is a vote for Trump," and I see how being shamed by that kind of rhetoric can be.... Idk what to call it. Polarizing? Overly simplistic? Frustrating to hear when you may be doing some many other good things outside of voting?

But truly, ask yourself: in being stubborn about voting, who are you helping? You care about mutual aid. Are you helping your trans neighbors by not voting? Will the Palestinians be saved by your moral superiority? Are you sending a message to the powers-that-be?? (Spoiler alert: you're not. There wouldn't be so much focus on disenfranchising voters if not-voting was a good thing for us)

I just wonder sometimes how many people out there are nonmonogamous by orientation, but they don't realize it because nonmonogamy is so stigmatized. And they end up trying to settle in a monogamous relationship even if... it's not who they are.

If you've ever had feelings for more than two people at once... please consider that you might be nonmonogamous. And please, please don't force yourself to enter a monogamous setup if you feel restrained. You'll only end up hurting each other. Kasi I know firsthand how hard it is to open up to your partner about having feelings for more than one person.

It's hard because they might get mad at you, or shame you for it, or question your love. Because they might feel less valued. They might feel like like nagkulang sila. And you don't know how to comfort them and tell them that those things aren't true. You don't know how to tell them that their value is not dictated by the value of others. You have not learned to say "I see him for him. And I see you for you. No one else is exactly like you. So why the hell would I ever feel less for you just because I have feelings for him too?"

If you're already in a monogamous setup and you feel like you can't talk to your partner about it, just leave. Please. Before you end up cheating. It's totally valid to like, love, or have sex with more than one person at a time... but it is wrong to break someone's trust. It does so much harm. It causes so much sadness.

Then when you're ready, come find the nonmmonogamous community. You'll have a place here. I guarantee it.

Because you keep policing people's headcanons, making fun of them and calling them horrible things, and on top of that, you're somehow claiming to be a safe space for people to express their creativity, yet turning around and harassing them anyways because you've made a billion exceptions to the "don't police people" rule and you think, like everyone else who's made their own exceptions, that your exceptions justify harassment.

So you're making fandom into a field of rat traps where nobody even dares interact with anyone, or shares art anymore, because you still might just attack them for it because they did something as simple as writing a canonically soft character as... a softie.

Let people do their "cringe" y/a romances, let people do their "gross" ships, let people write those characters as jerks or softies. Let them, and mean it when you say you'll let them, instead of soapboxing about it in a patronizing post but not really meaning what you're soapboxing about.

Dont get your hopes up with the uptick in interest of the 4B movement. Most of these women are just in shock and will eventually return to their nigels or nigel-hunting when the emotions settle down. I've seen countless women bragging about their fucking nigels whilst claiming to be part of 4B & other women encourage this. "My man voted Harris with me he's one of the good ones but yeah I'm part of the 4B now & my hubby supports the movement too 🥰". They're using this as a way to scare moids into behaving still underestimating the situation at hand here. Nothing has been learnt as nothing has ever been learnt over the course of thousands of years. Worry about yourself and serious women only lest you will be used. Dont let these women drag you into their bs we saw what happened with feminism.

April was Keith's idea of relaxation. He enjoyed parks, the feng shui of them, nature's ability to thrive despite and against anything happening - the silence of it. Watching Keith wind down and relax when he is a strung wire most of the time, would definitely make Lance feel all lovey-dovey and clingy (as he tends to get) and when he’d worry he is disturbing, Keith would comment this is exactly how it should be - the constant yin to his yang, and the yang when he feels yin.

Also - both shirt and hoodie are Keith's (he has way too many hoodies with quotes). Lance took the hoodie for Keith, but Keith insisted he won’t get cold, so he wore it himself. On the way home Lance funds Keith the biggest sushi serving he could find on the menu, and, believe me, nothing lights up Keith's eyes like a table full of rice and algae. Lance just watches with a soft smile. (Keith does end up getting cold)

I often thing about how hated Sansa is and it’s not a new thing. As far as I can tell people have hated her since the first book was released In The mid-90s :/

She’s literally an 11 year old girl at the beginning of the story and because of that she made very childish choices… you know, since she’s a child

Yeah she didn’t come to Arya’s aid when everything happened with the butchers boy, that sucked. She was punished but Joff’s anger towards and Lady was taken away from her.

And she’s not informed the way her sister is. She was a good, ideal, and obedient child. She had no idea what was brewing when she went to Cersei for her help. All she wanted was to be a good betrothal and a good child.

She had no idea she was in a lions den and her decision would cause her father to be taken and beheaded. She begged for mercy on her father’s behave and then was brutally tortured emotionally and physically, married to an man more than twice her age, and then preyed upon by a man as old as her father as a placeholder for mother, threatened death by her own aunt for Little finger who forced himself on her.

She’s 13 at the end of ADWD.

Like… an uncomfortable amount of discourse and negativity. Diplomatic conversations are always encouraged to have, but hurting another individual for different opinions is not.

I want you to know that it’s perfectly OKAY to be yourself here. And I want you to know that it’s always okay to share what’s on your mind here. This is a no hate, no judgement zone. I want you to feel safe and comfortable here. The whole point of this place is that you’re treated as an equal and to at home. It’s a home-away-from-home sorta place.
