I worked on this little something on and off for last 7 months. Looking back, it's funny how spot on their dance actually is
Made with polymer clay, acrylic paint, string LED light, DIY music box kit and some beads, it plays music and lights up from inside. Electric part is changeable if needed
Here are some close ups on figurenes (They are made of polymer clay only, for it to be extra light weight. Whole pair weights only 80 grams!)
Every side of the box is decorated with themes from the show
The whole thing is about 18 centimetres tall
I would love to know what @neil-gaiman thinks about it. I hope he notices :) But I understand if not. Poor guy has a lot to do
Last time I covered the living room, so now it's time for the rest of the house, starting with the dining room. This is my art studio space, with a special bit of decor that I painted:
This mural is 4 x 6 feet and makes me quite happy when I'm sitting there working on more art projects.
Next is the wall between the dining room and kitchen, with a pass-through counter. It has some lovely silhouettes along the bottom:
The portraits on the left aren't by me. The symbols above the pass-through are Doctor Who's name is the language of Gallifrey. Here is a closeup of the far wall:
The statue is an angel holding a metatron symbol. I found it at Walmart, of all places!
On another wall, I carefully copied the melody of the GO theme music:
And here is the hutch, which is possibly over-decorated:
Those are my colored pencil drawings on the top shelves (photos on the bottom). A close-up:
Here is one of my favorite little bits of GO fun: A photo I printed out and used decoupage to decorate the kitchen sink light switch cover:
Another nice piece, which is in one of the bedrooms, is this charioteer statue (which can be seen in the series on top of Aziraphale's rolltop desk):
As for my bedroom, it has a lot more of my framed art (not shown, couldn't get good enough pic), plus it has this rather large and dramatic canvas print of Alexandre Cabanel's 1847 painting, Fallen Angel:
Finally, I did not neglect my car! This is a magnetic sticker made from one of my paintings:
And inside by the stick shift are another pair of Funko Pops to keep me company while driving:
That's it! Of course, after Series 2 comes out, there will undoubtedly be additions!
ok this is gonna be short and mildly insane. i would like everyone to understand that this is pretty much Entirely unfounded & i'm just reading too much into a teeny little thing. however i've convinced myself that this theory is viable against all better judgement
take these mad ramblings with a Monumental grain of salt. im not to be taken seriously ever
so it all boils down to This
Little
Motherfucker.
the milk carton behind Barnaby's house.
it was added with the last large update, and it Immediately made me lose my mind. it's such a... strange thing to add to the map, which already has Teeny Secrets - along with other choice objects that make me narrow my eyes. but this isn't about them.
The very first thing I thought of when I saw the milk carton was the phrase "no use crying over spilled milk". which, of course, essentially means that there's no point in crying over things you can't change / things already done. There are a couple ways i'm interpreting it with this context
Something is going to happen that Barnaby feels personally responsible for. or is responsible for - either indirectly, or maybe he'll do something terrible. i think it's entirely possible that he might do that possible something for Wally. and again, take this with salt, but Clown has implied through trivia and fun hypotheticals that Barnaby would go to lengths for Wally. and yes, i know. taking evidence from "what would the neighbors do in Among Us" is absurd. IN MY DEFENSE! while the trivia isn't really to be taken seriously, there's always a thought process behind character roles and dynamics and behavior, and that is something that can be (carefully) looked into and applied. like in Among Us, apparently Barnaby would, and i quote, "Barnaby does all the Dirty work if Wally is an Impostor- Anything to help his little Buddy out...". anything to help his little buddy out, huh? like, it's been stated that Barnaby knows things about Wally that no one else does. and it's been mildly implied that he's fairly protective of Wally. and we all know that Wally is getting into some deep shit, and whether he means to or not he's likely gonna fuck everything up for everyone. it's not that big of a leap to speculate that Barnaby might do something drastic/horrible/regret-worthy in Wally's name / for his sake.
2. something terrible is going to happen to Barnaby / directly related to Barnaby, and he's going to be absolutely powerless to do anything about it. though i think that's kind of a given... yeah this section is pretty self explanatory
3. Barnaby is going to go missing. because what used to be on milk cartons? Missing Posters! yes yes i know this one is even more of a reach, since milk cartons didnt have missing posters on them till the 80s, but yk. it's a Thought.
my second thought was "oh ok so when the carton spills, it's curtains for Barnaby." this part of the theory is just me being paranoid that Barnaby is going to wind up kicking the bucket - though i suppose if that were the case, there would be a bucket, not milk. well, if a bucket ever appears, i'm going to start prematurely mourning. Still!
the point is - at some point, that milk is probably gonna spill. it may be just a detail as things get better Worse, or it could be indicative of something terrible happening to / because of Barnaby. the milk spills, Panic Time.
I can always tell whether I'm going to like someone by the comments they make when they see my home for the first time. Being obsessive over both Good Omens and home decorating, I have added stuff over the past few years to highlight my love of all things GO, as well as some tangential items. Let's start with an overview of my living room:
I have always adored eclectic decor, and have always had a penchant for antiques or things that merely look old. Since it covers 6,000 years of historical periods, GO fits well with my "style". And of course, I also like to show off my own art. Here are a few close-ups:
Faux stained-glass angel drawing (mine); English country cottage (mine): Globe Theatre scene (NOT mine); Aziraphale at his desk (mine). Here is the cottage, one of several I painted that could be what the South Downs cottage might be like:
Here is a closer view of the corner, where the bookcase holds quite a few items about the UK and London.
Painting on left is an idea I had where Aziraphale rescues Crowley from a Roman prison. On the right wall is my drawing of Aziraphale at his desk, and a different painting of what their cottage might look like:
On top of the bookcase is a statue of Shakespeare, as well as a music box I found in an antique shop which is yet another country cottage:
I also like to add little odds and ends here and there, such as the Funko Pops and a 1930s Bentley model (sadly, it didn't come in black, though the dark green isn't too bad) which sit in front of the TV:
And then there is this replica of the Greek statue upon which Crowley's wrestling angel/demon statue was based:
We will finish off the living room with two areas not seen in the big overview. First is this console table, where I keep tote bags that have Aziraphale and Crowley inspired designs. Above it are two of my colored pencil drawings and the needlepoint I did of the first GO2 promo pic:
And over here are two more of my drawings, plus a picnic basket:
Every home should have one.
I shall save the other rooms (oh yes, there is a lot more!) for another post.
I do love living in a place surrounded by the goodness that is Good Omens.
I was decorating the back cover of my sketchbook with some gomens drawing I made during Christmas and New Year's and thought about sharing them here because I think they all look very good! <3
There are layers and layers of little silly drawings MWHAHAHA (I'm working on the maniacal/hysterical laughter)
Some of these are cute silly prompts from inktobers and some are inspired by different songs' lyrics
(also, those colours.... 🤨🏳️⚧️? /jk/jk altho it's a pretty nice trans subtext for them right here....)
imagine if aziraphale wanted crowley to watch the bookshop while he drove up to edinburgh thinking maybe that was the push they needed for crowley to sort of just... move in with him finally... and not move back out again... aziraphale helping crowley carry his plants into the bookshop and feeling a little frisson of excitement, like, "they're here! in my shop! crowley's plants!"...
