Like Sire, Like Childe - Tammy King and Trevor Queen

Don't know how many of these I'll actually post but we'll see.

Tammy was never the best at putting her foot down. Of all the coterie sires, she was the most pushover of them all and who could blame her? Despite being the reeve and having one of the most important jobs in the city, she still loves all of their childer like they were her own. Still, this was a lesson Trevor had to learn one way or another. “You heard what I said, Trevor. You need to learn to stand on your own two feet, I can’t be there for you all the time.”

Her childe’s bright blue eyes began to fill with blood as tears formed and he tried to find the right words to say. She couldn’t blame him for being upset, she admitted to herself that she was basically ripping the training wheels right from under Trevor, but it wasn’t like he wouldn’t have her support nonetheless. “Boss, I’m plenty tough enough… I just need your help sometimes. Is it so wrong for a childe to ask for their sire’s help?” Tammy sighed, twirling a pencil in her hand at her desk. She supposed not, as she remembered her not long gone fledgling years, but even Zacharias had agreed enough was enough.

Almost once a week at this point Trevor was calling for her help in one way or another, mostly getting him out of trouble that he no doubt started. Being the childe of the Reeve and grandchilde of the Baron gave him quite the big mouth and it was getting to be more trouble than it was worth. If Trevor wasn’t going to agree to work on his issues himself, then she would have to take more drastic measures. Standing up from her desk, she nodded and gave her childe a soft smile. “Of course not, Trevor. I see I can’t convince you, and that’s okay.” She walked around her desk, still twirling the pencil idly as she came over to where he sat and placed her free hand on his shoulder. “I promise I won’t push it any further, as long as you make me a promise in return.”

A smile returned to her young fledgling’s face as he turned to glance up at her and nodded. “Yeah, anything Boss. What is it?” It was with one swift motion that Trevor couldn’t stop that the pencil went straight through his shirt and directly into his heart, staking him in one attempt. The fledgling didn’t even have time to react, the smile and stare still apparent on his face.

“Please don’t be mad at us, once this is all over. It's for your own good, Trevor.” Tammy flipped out her phone and dialed a familiar phone number as Zacharias stepped into the office. She knew that this was the best course of action they could take, and Trevor would probably be mad for a little while after, but it was okay. Miss Chills would help Trevor, just like she had helped Tammy all those years ago.

Entity description + images below, for any that are unfamiliar with the ones listed!

Anxious Dog: Appears to anyone it's not currently hunting as a large white dog, specifically a greyhound. Seeing it from your peripheral vision shows it for what it truly is. Constantly laughs, though most can't hear it. Will act like a dog, if you treat it like one.

Bonesworth: Once Bonesworth (named after a once-popular phone game said to be key to summoning him) has latched onto "his favourite", he's almost impossible to get rid of. Only able to be seen by the person he is currently following, Bonesworth often brings insomnia and sickness.

The Smile Room: A wormhole between our universe and the mouth of some sleeping, near-dead entity of unfathomable size, any abandoned room or space could become a "smile room". Anyone drawn in is decimated (much like a black hole), though it may make ambulatory hosts as a last resort.

Good Boy: Absolutely not a dog.

The Angel: Those who see the angel receive visions and swear that they've been touched by divinity, despite the unique appearance of the entity. When it shows itself, witnesses swear that it's an ethereal being not of this world, though the marks it leaves behind say otherwise.

The Man in the Red Room: People who dream him insist it's a man. Not much is known. The red room is his prison, the specifics of which tends to change depending on the person. Always dirty and empty. He can reach out while people dream. He needs us. He is trying to escape.

The Needle: A cryptid seen in small cities and rural towns across the Midwest. Often seen clambering through the trees, giving a lucky hunter just enough time to snap a blurry photo. The unlucky ones are found pinned to the trees, their skin loose and sagging.

The Piecemeal Men: They think they're from the government. Small men in hats and coats, like a paranoiac's dream. If they decide you owe, they will get into your house each night and take a piece of you, pulling rusted saws and knives from beneath their coats, until you are gone.

Smile Owls: Carnivorous and predatory hunters that work together to take down larger prey. Very adept at mimicry, often learning and repeating snippets of words and phrases from stalking previous kills to use as bait later.

The Clatter: Lonesome entity made of discarded antlers of all shapes and sizes. Haunts rest stops, hunting blinds, and tourist traps in secluded woodsy areas. It’s named after the horrendous noises it makes when it moves, and its cry is like the wind blowing through bones.

Height reference where I accidentally drew Rock a bit farther (again) because I was worried he'd end up stepping on Pit's foot. I had to reassure myself that I wasn't drawing anyone too big/small, and after comparing my older art it looks like I still have things as I intended.

Gosh, it still hasn't changed that I love these three. :)
