For around six months, give or take, Kildare County was the Clark’s new home and unlike his sister it was easy for him to adapt. Made acquaintances among both sides of the island, although he had to admit the boneyard parties thrown by the pogues didn't feed his temptation for substances simply because none were accessible, only cheap beer, even though he didn't drink that either and stuck with soft drinks instead. 

But this time it seemed more people were mingling among the ones from the Cut. Nick's gaze had locked with someone over the bonfire, well, not just anyone. Natalie had told him about Trevor and his involvement with Evan. Voiced her concerns. While Nick had listened to all of it, at the end of the day it wasn't his business and he wasn't planning on making it his. However, it was unfortunate that the Maybank twin wasn't around to ask or maybe, the fact gave a little thrill to the whole moment. 

After downing the last sip of his drink without ever breaking eye contact with the other male, Nick headed for a trash bin by the parking lot, away from the partying crowd, dropping the empty can in it. A glance over his shoulder informed him that the other had in fact followed him like he had suspected. 

A smirk tugged at the corners of his mouth as he leaned against one of the cars with his back, waiting for Trevor to catch up to him.

For a moment he thought his roommate was nothing but hot air after all, but then he was grabbed by the collar and pulled close. Immediately a thrill of excitement shot through his body. Of all the places they could've chosen instead, like the privacy within the four walls of their room, it had to be the kitchen right at the end of the cooking therapy. Accessible to anyone with a high risk to be discovered. Exactly to Nick's taste. Where was the fun if there wasn't a risk of getting caught, right?

However, it wasn't the other's mouth he got to feel yet, got to taste, no. Hot breath graced his skin while his own got reflected by Trevor's as they breathed the same air, breathed each other. Damn, that asshole knew what he's doing. It wasn't exactly surprising though.

As if the male had heard his thoughts, he felt the fabric of his collar tightening around his neck before lips finally found his own. Nick's eyes fell shut while a hand moved up, found it's place at the side of Trevor's neck as his mouth invitingly moved against the other's, reciprocating the kiss.

A low chuckle was the quick response to that challenge, that dare. Trevor’s eyes studied the other’s face, a concentrated look in his own face. The tip of his tongue licking his bottom lip – an involuntary gesture that he held when he noticed how it drew Nick’s attention. The corners of his lips curling up. As he breathed in, he could feel the heat in the room – the air was steamy (quite literally too, from the dishwasher). In a sudden move, his hand reached up and grasped the other by the collar, pulling him close. But before their lips could meet, he stopped. His eyelids almost closed as he looked at the other’s lips. His own parting as he drew in a deep breath of air – and it was something else that filled his lungs now. He moved forward, just an inch, chasing the other’s lips with his own, playfully, slowly. When he breathed out and in again, he could almost taste the other in his mouth. Almost. The grip of his hand tightened, and he felt this urgency, this pull, this need. The thick air made it harder to breathe. He felt Nick’s chest expanding. He felt his warmth expanding. He felt this alluring pull growing irresistibly strong.  And Trevor did not resist any longer. His mouth covered warm soft lips.

"Maybe, maybe not." He countered. A smirk of his own tugged at the corners of his lips without lifting his gaze from the pages in front of him. "Why?"

Nick hadn't been in the best spirits lately, therefore it's possible he was projecting some of that onto the other. "Why wouldn't you?" He simply countered before shaking his head. "Not the point."

"Truthfully? Yeah, I'm surprised you kept it." He wouldn't have held it against her if the scarf wasn't her taste and she had gotten rid of it due to that. Or, more so, because she felt weird she had received such a random gif from him.

With a smile playing around his lips he used his fingertips to brush the flour off her nose. "What were you trying to make?" Not that he would be of any help, he was just curious.

An amused snort left him. "I wonder why that is." It's the first time in a while Nick had the apartment for himself. Mateo had went somewhere over the weekend, don't ask him where, he forgot, not that it mattered. The only thing what mattered was them not having to sneak around for the time being. Something they had excessively been doing ever since that party a couple of months ago. Even if it took a bit of the thrill, the excitement, Nick would be lying if he said he didn't want her around.

Wordlessly, Mary hands Nick a container of brownies she'd made with her uncle earlier in the day, bright smile on her face. On top of the container is a wreath of wildflowers she'd also made (and she watches, expecting him to wear the flower crown).

"Thank you for being my friend." Ah, she finally speaks, realizing her intentions may not be properly conveyed.

Dark eyes had lingered on the container and wreath for a moment after having been handed both. Nick unsure how to interpret the gesture took the wreath eventually and put it on his head while responding with a, "Thanks."

A smile was noticable on his features and only grew when she spoke. "Hm, of course. Thanks for being mine as well. — Will you accept a hug in return? It's the only thing I can offer."
