when the triples were babies she was FOR SURE had an attachment style of parenting;

the boys sleeping in cots in that same room as you guys

always having them near her

skin to skin bonding as soon as they were born

as soon as SIDs aren't an issue the boys are in the bed with you until you have to tell her “hey they need to be in their own rooms now.”

as the kids get older develops more of a positive parenting style

very caring supportive and sensitive with her kids

like instead of focusing on the negative her kids do she focuses on the positive of what her kids do

for example; y’all remember when powder lost all of their loot in the first episode and instead of being mad she went “all that matters is that you’re okay.”

yeah like that

sets boundaries with her kids that supports their interests

does all she can to avoid punishment which in turn lowkey makes you the bad guy

but if need be she will take things away, give time outs, and worst of all grounding

cries in your arms after she has to ground the triplets after they get into a fight with some other kids

she also encourages her kids to be curious, have empathy for others, and just for them to be children

i feel it would come from her not wanting to have too many high expectations on aurelia like her mother had on her

it also leads to her stick up for her aurelia even when she is deadass in the wrong 🤦🏾‍♀️

it would get to a point where mel would get angry with you for giving aurelia any type of punishment

dare i say most the disagreements in your marriage came from you different views when it come to discipline for aurelia

like i’m talking arguments so bad y’all were sleeping in separate rooms 

which means FOR A LONG time she was a permissive parent

lowkey… she would be a mother-in-law from hell NO KIDDING

but back on her parenting type..

which is a mix of permissive/attachment and then when you guys had a serious talk

you informed her of trying to change her ways and she starting getting into more of a positive parenting style like vi

when it comes to mel’s attachment parenting;

constant skin to skin contact right after she was born

she walked around with aurelia in the baby carrier

had aurelia sleeping in the middle of both of you

constantly had her in her arms

aurelia finally had her own room at the age of 3

now mel’s permissive parenting;

mel is a really nurturing and emotionally responsive parent

but didn’t believe in punishing aurelia or putting her foot down with her

which ultimately lead to aurelia having poor self regulation skills

when sitting down with mel to talk with her about how you both were parenting very differently and not in a good way…

that didn’t exactly go well..

it lead to another serious fight because aurelia would act one way with mel and act completely different with you and no one else because she knew she could get away with pretty much anything with mommy mel 

the fight was so bad you stayed with your parents for a few days

so that meant mel was with aurelia 25/8

that’s when she started getting a glimpse of what everyone trying to tell her

because at some point in time keeping up that little princess facade for mel… aurelia would get tired of that and true colors show

after that you and mel sat down with one another and came to an agreement and the three of y'all went to family counseling 💛 

mel is starting to understand that she can parent her daughter without plain spoiling... but she did make a habit of it so it's something that she has to work on breaking

2025 : #18 THE ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BURNOUT

i feel exhausted. And I don’t mean like "Oh, I need a nap" exhausted y'all know exhaustion that sits in ur bones that makes even the smallest tasks feel like moving a mountain Even when I do get some rest like sleeping for 8h do breathing techniques I still wake up feeling like I’ve been hit by a truck. And not a small one I'm talking an 18-wheeler, full speed (call it whatever u want) . I was tired all the time yet somehow also restless. I wanted to do something, but I also didn’t want to do anything. I was stuck in this weird, miserable limbo where everything felt pointless, but at the same time, I was stressed about not doing enough. Like, how does that even make sense?And honestly, it got to a point where I wasn’t even living anymore I was just existing. Just floating through days waiting for the next one hoping I’d feel better but never really doing anything about it. Because when you’re that deep in burnout, it’s hard to even believe that you can feel better.

But you can. And I know that sounds cliché as hell but listen to me for a second. If I could drag myself out of that deep, dark hole, you definitely can too. And I’m not saying it’s gonna be easy, but I swear to you, it’s possible.

ᡣ𐭩 sᴛᴇᴘ ᴏɴᴇ: sᴛᴏᴘ ᴛᴀʟᴋɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ ʏᴏᴜʀsᴇʟғ ʟɪᴋᴇ ʏᴏᴜ’ʀᴇ ᴀ ғᴀɪʟᴜʀᴇ

If someone talked to you the way you talk to yourself you’d probably wanna fight them Like imagine your younger self sitting right in front of you. If they were struggling, feeling drained, feeling like a failure, would you yell at them to “get their shit together” and call them lazy? No, right? You’d probably comfort them, tell them it’s okay, tell them they don’t have to be perfect.

So why the hell are you so mean to yourself?

Burnout doesn’t happen because you’re weak or lazy but it happens because you’ve been pushing yourself too hard for too long bu experience cuz when I study every single day like NOO stop wake up early,homeworks,school and the same loop go for 1 month I burn out for maybe 15days after (like rn) And let’s be honest, most of us don’t even realize it’s happening until we’re knee-deep in exhaustion. You keep telling yourself, “Oh, I’ll rest once I finish this” or “I just need to push through a little more,” until one day, your body and brain just quit on you.

So the first step? Start being nice to yourself. Start talking to yourself the way you’d talk to a best friend who’s struggling. Because you are not the problem burnout is.

Real rest means giving yourself permission to slow down without feeling guilty. It means doing things that actually recharge you so don't force urself to do ur hard tasks like intense workout at 6am saying yes to extra tasks or project ... But say yes to take walks , listening to music, watching a comfort show DO ANYTHING THAT MAKE U HAPPY not everyone have the same (happiness detox) so yeah . And most importantly, it means not punishing yourself for needing a break.Because pooks you’re not a machine. You weren’t built to be productive 24/7. Even your phone needs to be charged, and you’re out here expecting yourself to run on 2% battery every day? Yeah, no wonder you feel like shit.

Social media is draining u .fr u don’t even realize it half the time, but it’s constantly feeding your brain unrealistic expectations. One second you’re watching someone’s “That Girl” morning routine, and the next, you feel like a failure because you don’t wake up at 5 AM to drink matcha and do yoga on a balcony.

And don’t even get me started on doomscrolling. Like, do I need to know every bad thing happening in the world the second I wake up? No. But do I do it anyway? Also yes. And then I wonder why I feel like shit before my day even starts.

So hear me out pookie log off. Even for just a day. Delete the apps if you have to limit time . Go touch some grass. Read a book. Hell stare at the ceiling if you want. Just give your brain a break from the constant noise. Trust me, you’ll feel a million times lighter.

You don’t need to “fix” everything. Just commit to one hour of doing something that will make you feel 1% better. That’s it.

Set a timer for 60 minutes.

Pick 2-3 small things that will make you feel lighter.

Do them with zero pressure. Imperfect action > no action.

Examples:

⏰ Minute 0-10: Get out of bed. Wash your face. Brush your teeth. You don’t need a full “that girl” routine, just refresh yourself.

BELIEVE ME, THEY ABSOLUTELY DESERVE THEIR OWN DAYS AND SPOTS

but i love both of them and couldn't choose

so anyways, i'll make this short (too late)

best girls <3 like i love s1, I love miguel and robby, i obviously love hawk and demetri. but let's be fr their rivalry MADE cobra kai what it is today.

without tory, cobra kai was great but it was very alpha dudebro (and demetri, sam, and aisha were the only ones to balance that out but even then they were mostly used as plot devices for the main male characters) and admittedly having sam and tory fight over robby and miguel was so UGH and absolutely did not pass the bechdel test but it was really refreshing to give sam more of a character with a personality, hopes, motivations, fears, etc. and adding tory was quite possibly one of the best decisions bc she really rounded out the cobra kai roster and gave sam that character to play off of so they could both develop together.

also tory's friendship with aisha was EVERYTHING (i personally ship them) and having her and sam fight over aisha, i think, would've been far more interesting (which they kinda did but they wrote aisha out of the show after s2 so it really didn't go anywhere)

and in a show based on misunderstandings, their first meeting means everything to me. tory hearing about the infamous sam who dumped aisha to be rich and popular then meeting her at an actual country club like yeah, tory's gonna be a little passive aggressive but she lowkey didn't act THAT rude to sam (not blaming sam, again misunderstandings !!) and ofc sam thinks tory is a little troublemaker after she steals the vodka so YEAH she has a little bit of a problem with her hanging out with her childhood best friend. then aisha just sitting there like "oh sam this is tory ! hey tory, this is sam ! ^-^" (i love aisha)

SHES SO CUTIE IN THIS OUTFIT, this outfit is my roman empire

sam is great purely for the fact that she's grown so much and yet stayed the same throughout the show (a lot like demetri). the tiniest moments where she loses herself are more filled with self-doubt than trying to be someone she's not (i emphasize THROUGHOUT THE SHOW, obviously she had this arc before the show then came back to her true personality when she met miguel and started talking to aisha again)

like she stood up to miguel AND kyler when she felt they were doing something wrong. she defends demetri and shows so much care for robby (samrobby best friends !!). i love that we get to explore her trauma and how it affected her relationships and karate. (petition to explore more of the kids' trauma !!!) she seems to be the character that's the most in touch with her emotions and, maybe behind devon and amanda, she's the most mentally stable character of the bunch (all women, go figure) she is the character ever !! she understands the importance of balance !! she understands standing up for what's right and admitting your mistakes !! she is the true leader of miyagi-do and it's so incredibly fitting that she is the larusso legacy bc yeah ! there is quite literally no miyagi-do without her !

and one last thing, HER "WHO AM I" SCENE IN S5 IS PEAK, literally one of the best scenes in the show, okay that's all.

TORY, MY BELOVED, MY EVIL LITTLE PRINCESS. she's like so opposite sam in half of her seasons, she is the angry little villain for a bit, bless her heart.

so obviously VALID CRASHOUT. i just think a lot of her anger was obviously misdirected. like when she first met aisha, again ! sam kinda came off as one of those evil ex bffs, like someone you grew up with who suddenly thinks they're too cool for you. so since aisha was her first friend (and keep in mind how lonely and stressed tory was behind the scenes) of course she's gonna wanna defend her ! and, from tory's pov, sam was judging her for the vodka bottle but tory believed bad things are okay to do when people deserve it (like kind of implied) so stealing a bottle from a bunch of rich people who will never notice is very excusable. meanwhile sam believed bad things were never okay (then ofc after the school fight she changes her tune to get revenge on ck) but tory's a lot like that quote from Isle of Dogs, she's not a violent dog but she does bite. it's a coping mechanism. when she perceives something as a threat, she'll attack. and sam seemed to be the stereotypical snooty rich girl.

when she blames tory for her mom's lost wallet, it feels very much like a snooty rich girl assuming the worst of a poor person. like just bc she's not upper class, doesn't mean she's THAT much of a delinquent. THEN TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, the guy she likes is still hung up on this sam girl. she's aisha's and miguel's replacement for sam, always second to sam. the only place she can prove herself is in karate. so she goes all into training, she's training herself to master her fighting, take out her aggressions, protect herself, etc.

BUT THE INFAMOUS KISS. and instead of taking it up with miguel for stringing her along (which i love miguel but FUCK HIM for the way he treated tory and still hasn't really made up with her) she takes it out on the main person that's been giving her problems since she entered this whole world. the person who haunted the narrative of her social circle, the person who hurt the people she cared about, the person who they used tory to replace, the person who seemed to have a problem with her from day one, the person who kissed her BOYFRIEND bc she's still hung up on him (obvi miguel was just as guilty but this is from tory's pov). so the school fight happens, she gets probation, amanda visits her at work which snowballs into her losing her job (which she desperately needs), miguel obviously never reached out to her and was still hung up on sam, aisha moved away, johnny ditched the dojo, YEAH I'D LOWKEY CRASH OUT TOO (and to tory it all always links back to sam) (oooooh lesbian allegories you are SO PRESENT in samtory's relationship arc)

so she has her little evil moment, and i love this for her ! and this is actually incredible on kreese's part (not in a good way). like i know he has a knack for sniffing out the most vulnerable kids to manipulate but WOW he really did a number on tory. she genuinely seemed to trust him from s2 all the way until halfway through s5 (personally i think it was a mix of devon and sensei kim that snapped her out of it, and she finally stepped away from the cobra kai mess)

but she's such a mess i love her. i support women's rights AND wrongs what wrongs? she didn't do anything wrong. i don't wanna overyap about her plot stuff (too late), but her relationships with robby, sam, devon, and kreese are actually so important to me.

i've kinda already talked about sam and devon but specifically robby and her being both (not to be mean but) kinda fucked mentally lmao. and spending their lives never being someone else's priority. they're both basically latchkey kids, they had to be adults from an extremely young age and no one was ever looking out for them, and they never really felt that stable parental support that miguel and sam did, which should make them the perfect foil (if the writers stopped shoving in love triangles and whacko storylines that always favor miguel and sam).

maybe unpopular opinion?? big fan of the s4 after-prom party fight. the way samguel left arguing with each other and angry while keenry had the night of their lives and found love in each other like it's so perfect ! bc i love samguel but like i said the plot ALWAYS favors them, and they usually get their way (of course they have hardships and losses, all the kids do, but in the long run the writers always give them the most screentime, best storylines, all the wins, etc.) but tory and robby can't seem to catch a break and are always so depressed or disappointed or angry and it was really refreshing to see them have that satisfying moment where they get to make their exes jealous, beat their enemies, look hot, and just get to be normal teenagers for the night and not have to worry about expenses or responsibilities, LOVE THEM BIG FAN

so uh i love samtory but i also love keenry and samguel so let's settle on ambiguously poly relationship (in which all three exist) (i'm sorry i don't ship kiaz, it feels a little too weird after they canonically became stepbros IM SORRY)

just two stepbros and their gfs who are dating each other... (just to make the vision clear, no one really knows who's dating who, none of them make it explicitly make it clear if they are or aren't dating and no one really asks out of fear of another karate war breaking out) (i'm making it weirder the more i explain huh? i'm gonna move on)

sam is unlabeled (possibly pan/queer) and tory is bisexual. also she/they queens !

SAM DEVON TORY TRIO MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME. a lot of their hangouts are with the girls (demetri, moon, yas) but they occasionally hang out just the three of them (basically the sleepover episode without johnny lmao)

speaking of the girls, sam and devon try so hard to teach tory demetri's name but she either never retains his name or has just gotten so used to calling him "the nerd" "the guy that follows hawk" "hawk's boyfriend" "the lanky one" that she doesn't feel comfortable calling him anything else (not that she interacts with him or talks about him enough for that to create a huge problem)

and on that same track, tory finds moon and yas to be a bit much (a lot), but like hawk, she doesn't talk enough for her exhaustion to be obvious, she just kinda follows the group and gets a little (secretly a lot) flustered when they compliment the way a shirt looks on her or really show her any love or attention

while tory obviously doesn't verbalize how much having friends and a support system means to her, sam and devon KNOW and are more than happy to keep providing that stability for her

(she'd never admit any of that aloud though, she'd die before willfully letting anyone know that)

amanda maintains a constant presence in tory's life to show her she's not leaving and not using her as a replacement for sam and anthony. she also shows a ton of support for her and her brother to ease the process of her mom's funeral, living arrangements, food, etc. (tory puts up a big fight in this until amanda phrases her connections as suggestions so tory feels like she did it herself and didn't need someone else to do it for her)

(we're gonna see this in pt 3 but i'm gonna hc just in case the writers decide to spite me again) amanda totally cheers on robby, sam, AND tory at the sekai taikai/all valley (queen amanda and her kids <3)

sam totally won her school's spelling bee in elementary/middle school, aisha was cheering her on the whole time

sam knew mr. miyagi just long enough to miss him when he passed and understand the affect it had on her dad. after she convinces anthony to push through miyagi-do teachings, she shares some stories and pictures with him hoping it'll show him there is a legacy in the dojo even if he never knew him (he's not as moved as she'd like but he does learn to be more sympathetic for her and daniel for yapping about the man so often)

under tory and miguel, sam's closest friends are robby and demetri, hands down. right under them is obvi moon and yas but also surprisingly hawk. anyone present for the karate wars definitely finds it odd that they get along so well but anyone who really knows both of them (namely miguel and demetri) knows they're incredibly similar

some things sam and hawk have in common: anger issues/panic attacks (though sam has a way better handle on hers than hawk), interest in chemistry, Doctor Who—specifically the tenth doctor (after demetri "forces" her to watch it), Star Wars (they both love padmé but also have a crush on han solo), and their music taste (specifically grunge rock and indie rock, sam is DEFINITELY a rock girlie). sam is so naturally nerdy, she gets along with demetri and hawk so well

sam gets TIRED a lot from ptsd episodes and having to be the kind of therapist friend (since her dad, her brother, her best friends, her boyfriend, etc. are all so unstable), so everyone sometimes tries to make her feel better in their own ways (bear with me)

demetri usually sits her down to watch something (harry potter, lord of the rings, star wars, doctor who, etc.). at the beginning of their friendship, this kind of exhausted her more, since he played stuff she wasn't familiar with and she didn't know why he thought watching a movie wouldn't count as a socially exhausting activity. but as time passed she realized that's how he used to make eli feel better after a bad day, and eli liked sitting in silence and escaping to a new world. now she's familiar with all the movies and does find comfort in just being physically close with demetri while he sits uncharacteristically quiet so she doesn't have to think too much.

robby will sit with her and try to do something low-effort (sitting by a campfire, making smores, practicing mindful breathing, sitting at a park, etc.) while making small talk/telling her stories

tory feels more than a little responsible for these moments but she tries to make sam feel better by coloring with her (she will deny it up and down) (it started when she noticed that the larussos seem to have an abundance of adult coloring books but now it feels like something that reminds her of her mom and sam)

miguel will sit with her and hug her, letting her talk about how she's feeling until she feels a little better.

moon/yas take different approaches (gentle vs tough love) but they both remind sam she needs to take time for herself before she reaches this breaking point. they sometimes offer her a joint (which she never really accepts) and close off with some in-n-out

hawk invites sam over to help build lego models. they never talk, just listen to music and build

at sam's graduation party (in which all the dojo kids are invited), aisha shows up and her and tory jump right back into their friendship

(the way all the yapping was for tory and all the hc's are for sam)

alright chat, i think that's about all i got (it's so long this is so upsetting) (i will be worse in the top 4)

final conclusion: sam and tory both deserve better, they're both so intelligent, pretty, kind, badass, and strong and they're both set up for failure. i can already feel it in my bones that i won't be satisfied with the results of the fight in pt 3 but someone has to win and i wouldn't be completely happy with either one bc they both deserve it. i also wish we'd gotten more content of them so they exist outside of their relationships with robby and miguel. LET WOMEN BE WOMEN, NOT MALE ACCESSORIES. but i will miss them dearly and i hope they're both happy in the end.

i! love! this! movie! i love it so much! spoilers under the cut. if you haven't seen it and somehow missed any of the buzz, go watch it before you check out ANY reviews because this would make for a hell of a blind watch. ideally get some pals together for it as a group bonding activity even

first things first demi moore and margaret qualley bodied these roles (pun absolutely intended). they were the perfect choices to portray these characters. i've seen the term "career best" in reference to both their performances and i wholeheartedly agree

i love the over-the-top angle this movie takes. there's no escape from it, it's relentless, and it's supposed to be

seriously if you wanted this movie to be more subtle then you probs just wanted to be watching a different movie. and that's fine! this one isn't gonna hit for everybody! BUT it has a very clear vision and it takes you on that journey whether you like it or not

and yeah it's gross but again, that's the point which i think is so fuckin great. more gross movies. more movies that make you wince and shift in your seat. culturally we are at the PERFECT time to bring creature features back into the zeitgeist. anti-aging as body horror is such an incredible take

i've seen people say it's misogynistic in its portrayal of womanhood, with how elisabeth's backstory is never explored or anything, but that really does loop back into the "that would be a different movie entirely" thing i mentioned before. it wouldn't have added anything for me if we got to explore her backstory, because we are already getting such an intimate look into her psyche. im actually fine with her not having a feel-good arc about how she learns to love herself and dismantle the problems in her past that made her feel lesser-than

it's also just smart to avoid the specifics. part of the Point is that these thoughts and behaviors can take hold of anyone, regardless of age or beauty or status. elisabeth's lore isn't half as important as that, she could be anyone, but she is in the upper echelon of society to further drive home the thought that Anyone Can Feel That Way. i love this element of the film!

the scene near the end where sue goes absolutely batshit is maybe my favorite thing to come out of cinema in the past decade. only kind of a joke

btw while we're talking specific scenes. dennis quaid shrimp scene is the grossest one in the movie im being so fr

and the finale! the boob and the blood and the puddle. it was definitely A Lot. i think that's what the movie needed to really drive it home, something completely off the fuckin walls. as much as i was into sue killing elisabeth as a climactic moment in the story, i thought the hard steer into blood-drenched insanity was fuckin awesome. so goofy and so FUN while simultaneously being disgusting and heartbreaking

also not really related to any of the other ones but i loooove the environment in this movie. everything is so weird and uncanny, the little details are great! it sets you up right away with the "this is not what you're used to" feeling, the alternate modern-day thing is just a good time all around

my final score: 5 out of 5 activator shots in the single-use bottle. this was one of my only five star reviews on letterboxd this year. i cannot stress enough how much this movie actually fuckin rips. if you love body horror and you haven't seen it yet GET ON IT !!! i might write up another post abt the substance (drug not the movie) itself sometime because it has such fascinating implications. that's all for now tho :)

And… one more… I guess Miriam. Idk why, but if I had to choose out of the ones left.

I think the alliance of 4 is gonna lose half its members. I see Nick getting character development. I see Fiore being an antagonist. And Ashley… she’s nice. I just like her and hope she goes far. Jake & Tom have a thing going on that the opening spoiled so they’re both merging. Then Gabby is being set up for character development as well.

I forgot Ellie. I forgot she was on the purple team… she’s gonna be the teams swing vote, isn’t she? That sucks.

This is what the dynamic between her and Gabby are alluding to? They’re both on opposite teams but they both have major setbacks and disadvantages to their game. Gabby cause no one likes her and she’s allied with Grett, and Ellie cause she’s stuck in the middle of her team and will be screwed if she doesn’t play… less than pure, I guess. But they become besties and it trumps those issues.

That’s what I’m predicting anyway.

So we have how many characters with motives and reasons to be here now? Fiore got dumped by her parents, Nick wants to prove himself, Jake wants to help his grandma.

I'm really liking that they're giving these characters REASONS to be on the show and why they want to win.

Cause in Total Drama we don't get a lot of their backgrounds outside of the game, and only a handful explained their motives for winning. I think of Gen 1 the only one that really had a motive aside from 'I want to be rich' is Alejandro.

I like what they're doing here.

Anyway- Rock is chosen to encourage the player to diversify their moveset as Rock resists Normal, the most common attacking type in the early game, as well as all of them being physically defensive, which counters most attacks in the early game as Physical Normal moves. It's also weak to Grass and Water, encouraging the player to experiment and understand type matchups better. The Fire problem is solved by either slapping the Fighting type onto the starter or giving it a Steel move in the case of FR/LG.

Third- EVs...can't make your Pokemon worse. They can be wasted but they are only ever buffs. And you don't need perfect EVs for the main game. Try proofreading.

me and lions objectively correct mystreet character ranking (not clickbait fr fr)

So let me explain the ranks here a bit and why characters are in certain places:

S Tier: Characters that have a solid foundation or general character arcs that both me and Lion liked they’re story and character was enjoyable from beginning to end.

Lucinda is the only S tier character because she managed to remained both consistent character throughout the show. And while she doesn’t have a general arc that really doesn’t make her character any less likable. She’s just a silly little guy that activates the neurons.

A Tier: characters that we found really strong and compelling but have one really big glaring issue from putting them in S.

Rowan is here simply because he was really enjoyable, a genuine healthy father figure, and was just super cool to watch. His problem: lack of screen time.

Zianna has the same problem as Rowan her importance to the plot overall is also a factor.

Zane and Kc have the problems of both certain parts of there stories leaving us feeling icky. Like Zane becoming an over protective incel that sees aph as an object, or KC’s shipping shrine and canonically being a stalker.

B Tier are characters that we liked but just simply couldn’t peek are interest character wise due to one reason or another.

I’m gonna try and speed run the rest of these so:

Garroth: same problem with Zane but worse his obsession with aph even with or without the inclusion of mcd feels unearned and generally problematic. He’s goofy though and has a solid character arc with his brother

Eric and Terry: goofy and likable but nothing much outside of that also besides Rowan they are the only good parental figures in the show. (Eric is higher because he has more screen time)

Daniel: he’s voiced by ross has an interesting character concept, he’s the only werewolf character that didn’t frustrate me personally at some point. He’s just not all that important.

vlyad teony and GF captain: all interesting characters that weren’t in the show enough.

blaze: making in here on charm and charisma alone. (Also because our friend June fell in love with him, you can imagine his reaction to season 6.)

Brandon: mainly here because Lion said so.

C tier is mostly for the meh characters that we didn’t feel super strongly about for the most part.

Travis: didn’t have a decent enough character or story to really make us care in anyway. While pm seymour gave it their all it wasn’t really enough to keep us engaged.

Laurence: he has like one or two really good moments. And some laughs. Didn’t keep me or him engaged, especially after he just vanished.

from Ivy to kai: all these characters have really likable personalities and stories but they all generally had the one thing in common where they just weren’t in the show enough or there character took a direction we agreed wasn’t all that good or interesting.

Ivan: he serves his purpose as a one off villain. That’s all.

White haired girl: she just exist for a bump in the road in Aarmau.

Aphmau: none of her arcs are interesting, her personality isn’t consistent and when Jess does stick to a personality for her it’s generally not that likable.

D Tier: where hitting characters that both of us generally felt were lacking or straight up didn’t like.

Sylvanna: this may shock some of you but I’m going to be brutally honest, half of the reason y’all like her is because you HC her as being overprotective because Aaron is a groomer. Now let me be clear that’s not a problem, however that doesn’t change the fact in the actual show, it’s written more like an emotional incest situation. If Aaron being a groomer was “played straight” as it were she’d be much higher. But the canon reason of her overprotective (at least the reason were given initially) is that Aaron does a better job at taking care of Aph. It’s not because she actually fears Aph is in danger as we come to learn. It leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Nicole: didn’t like that Dante was the one punished for their break up. They even mention later that she was being unreasonable. But Dante was at fault don’t get me wrong. But she also wasn’t in the show a hole lot and from what we see of her, just didn’t stick out to us.

Michi: plot device in character form, she could’ve been so much better if her character wasn’t watered down to “Aarmau Speed Bump”

From Kacey to Nekoette: all characters that felt shoved in for plot purposes and didn’t have enough personality to make up for it. They all range of for being added for stupid reasons like another conflict or fan-service. Some of these are even combinations of those reasons plus they just have some really unlikable moments that rubbed us the wrong way or even worse did not help the plot at all by being there.

Katelyn: I’ve made it extremely clear I don’t like this character and she’s at the very bottom because I believe her offenses are worse than most characters before but don’t deserve hell tier. She technically “works through” her fantasy racism and other problems just not in a compelling or even satisfying way. Even her reasons just didn’t justify her actions for us.

HELL: characters that did morally deplorable things therefore we did not like them on principal. ONTOP of being poorly written because in this series they go hand in hand.

Rachel gaslit her son and told Melissa to get Aaron home by any means necessary and that was implied to be the blackmail Melissa got from Michi. She generally invaded his privacy and almost ruined her son and an innocent girls relationship because of toxic traditional family values. (I believe she would’ve done this with or without the ultima curse, remember, that all what I just wrote was something written before that was even conceived.) and then does a 180 when season 5 hits. We all laughed and played crab rave when she was publicly executed.

Elizabeth abandoned her kids don’t care if that part wasn’t her fault because she was sealed away because again that was written before season 4-5 (we also see Zack abandoning his kid so like it’s implied she did it before she was sealed away anyway.) Also allowed a literal demon to do experiment a on her daughter. She doesn’t get any satisfying conclusion to her villain arc and she’s part of the post credit cliffhanger.

Zack cheated on his wife and abandoned his child after experimenting on her and was Michaels right hand only to grow a conscious after the literal child abuser tells him to produce a spine. Was not in the show enough to be a “I love to hate” kinda character.

Garte and Derek are both on the list for basically the same reason neither of there characters end in a satisfying way. Dereks just worse because he directly abused Aaron verbally.

Emmalyn is here because me and Lion took her as a stand in for ghost sense they are the same character. And she SA’s Zane. Ghost also confuses the plot heavily. And made the story so hard to follow in season 6. She actively makes both the story worse both inside and out.

Ein stalked and mind controlled multiple characters and was both indirectly and directly responsible for multiple innocent peoples deaths. There’s more you could say about him but he’s just not a compelling villain. His plans are not his own, the plans he does come up with only work by chance. He’s basically if you took Michi and cranked her up to 11.

Micheal is a really bad uncompelling villain outside of MCD besides killing people and world domination or whatever. He does nothing interesting with the time he’s given.

Balto and Aaron are both different flavors of pedos. Balto tries ask aph to prom, like even if bruh was just doing it for power; what the fuck. Even if was compelling he wouldn’t be any higher.

Gene is also a pedophile and gets Ein to take pictures of her when he graduates college, which is a shame because he actually does have a compelling story but because of how problematic his flaw is we couldn’t rank him any higher.

Aaron has been talked to death about so I won’t repeat what’s been said a hundred times over. But pedophillia, mass genocide, and a general inconsistent characterization is everyone’s main problem.

Ace: Our friend Ace was in call with us, we gave her one chance to save a character from a lower tier.

Melissa: originally in hell tier for enabling her parents and taking black mail from Michi, and just not having a spine when it came to the abuse of Aaron and that part of her character being sweated under the rug as she hardly had any consequences for gaslighting him. Even going so far to say they’ve changed and have gotten better when they clearly had not. Emotionally manipulating him at almost any chance she had. The reason why she rescued her and not her other choice Aphmau is because Ace is a lesbian.
