it was your fifth year at hogwarts, fifth year being friends with pansy, and your fifth year being hopelessly inlove with theodore.

yes, you've had 'relationships' before him, but he was still at the back of your mind. theodore was still lingering.

Theo seemed funny, moody, and so much more, but, you didn't expect him to like books.

Pansy looked down while eating her food, and simply said "you're reading little women too? Theodore loves that book" To which you hushed her immediately.

But that didn't stop you from asking her about Theo,later that day. "He likes it? " You asked, showing the book to pansy, "who likes what? " Pansy scrunched her eyebrows, and you groaned loudly.

"Theodore, pansy, Theodore! "

Pansy nodded her head, saying "oh yeah, he likes it". You gasped at how chill she is, and you said " This might be it pansy! ".

And oh you were right, it is it. You and daphne were sitting on a bench, gossiping about other people. When all of the sudden, Theodore passed you two, and said "Laurie, mhm? ".

"So you do like little women? " You and daphne's attention were shifted to him "since forever", and just like that, he left.

That became a more and more of a schedule for you to sit on that same bench everyday, on the exact same time. Daphne doesn't know that you still like him, it was well common knowledge that you used to like Theodore, but, everyone thought that you had moved on.

Daphne was so tired of Theodore, that whenever she sees him coming to you two, she'd roll her eyes sand say stuff like 'here he goes again' and make the biggest sigh ever.

Your first 'real' conversation was him coming up to you, saying "I like jo more than amy". At that point you didn't know what to say, neither Daphne or Pansy was there to make you less tense.

You scoffed "Amy is way better". You tried to keep yourself cool, and you did just that.

For days to days you two became closer. You'd have little chit chats after dinner, and your liking for him became bigger, but it shouldn't have.

"I have some little women.. Merch, I can send it to your room, later" Theodore suggested. "First of all, pansy would kill me if I had a boy in my room. Second of all, that will not happen cause if you do the stairs will turn into a literal slide and make you look stupid" You said, to which he just started at you.

You stupidly dreamt of him in your room, which is obviously forbidden.

Unsurprisingly, Daphne eventually found out about you still liking him, and she's convinced that Theo likes you back.

"Do you not remember what he said? 'I used to like little women, now I like it again because of her' and the boy pointed at you! And do you not remember quidditch? "

Oh boy, you do remember Quidditch.

His Quidditch match was last Wednesday, and two days before that, you two made a bet. If he won, you have to give him 15 galleons, and if he lose, he has to give you 15 galleons.

See, that same week, your professors had bombarded everyone with exams. So, if it wasn't for him you wouldn't have watched any of the Quidditch stuff.

That Wednesday, you kept exactly 15 galleons in your pocket. And, unsurprisingly he won. The slytherins celebrated like crazy, and, after that, you came up to him, saying "I could've bought myself candy but, I have your 15 galleons".

"No need for that," Theodore softly smiles, and went back to his friends who were cheering and waiting for him.

That day you couldve swore you spent a thousand hour telling pansy what you felt.

All of the sudden, Theodore didn't seem interested. You hadn't told Daphne about this, but pansy is so mas at him for the sudden stop of interest.

"See, boys are immature" Pansy groaned and rolled her eyes. "I wanted to know about his friend and, theodore-"

"Not so loud! " You sushed her, reminding that you two were still in the great hall. You doubt anyone heard you but, still, for safety reasons. "How about.. My 'him', we can call him uh.. "

"Toaster, cause if he doesn't act right Im gonna-"

"Hold your horses, pansy, let's call him trex"

"Fine, you're way too nice for that guy, and uhm, what should I call my 'him'? " Pansy asked, and, there was one minute of silence.

"Maybe trial number #2? "

That was the day your nicknames were born, and, things excelated from there. 'Trial #2', which is blaise, talked to pansy in the Slightest way possible, and 'trex' which is theo is talking to you, but he makes the conversation as dry as possible.

Theo is almost always the conversation starter, but when it comes to keeping the conversation going, it's you, and it is hardwork to keep Theo talking to you

That also reminded you of a conversation you had a long, long time ago with millicent. About how he's broken home and doesn't have a mother, and turns out it was true.

"So, that explains the on and off thing with you and him" Pansy shrugged "if you're really in love with him, you're in some really deep shit. Trial #2 barely talks to me"

and in deep shit you are, as the days became longer because he didn't want to talk to you. Pansy convinced you enough to just stop talking to him.

You felt better but, there is still something in you still craving him dearly.

"He's just there, pansy, like.. Like a word about to be spoken, but then vanishes out of our brains! One second he's there and the next he's gone! " You complained.

What made you more confused is that, you and him became more confusing. You felt like you're more than a friend, but you don't know what it is because of one thing he said.

It was common for you friends, lorenzo, and Mattheo, to tease you about Theo. It's as if they know.

Obviously, Theo was there too, along with Daphne next to you. "Y/n, I think you and Theodore are a good fit" Lorenzo laughed, and the others chimed with agreement. But, it was a subtle whisper from Theo that made you down for the rest of the day. "Don't say that, I like astoria"

You kept laughing, though it was obvious for those who actually knows you that your laugh was so fake.

You kept ignoring him, and you truly do feel better for once. As pansy says 'give him taste of his own medicine ' and you did what she said, and you felt better, for awhile.

Till he came up to you and forced you to confess.

"The fuck is wrong with you y/n? " Theodore said. "What do you mean? " You said, but, the pit in your stomach tells you exactly what he means.

"You're avoiding me. I thought we were friends"

"That's the problem" You said, in a confusing tone, which made him think.. Was it a question or a statement?

"I thought we couldve been more, Theo" You rolled your eyes at his oblivion, and you paused "you like astoria, don't you, mhm? You said it yourself".

Theo frowned "don't act so innocent, you and Macmillan were so close I thought you two were dating".

"I wasn't" You paused, "I moved on a long time ago, unlike you, no one moves on in the span of two weeks".

"Her friends told me she doesn't like me! "

"So what? That makes it right? I don't care if she likes you or not, I care if you like her or not. If I'm just your second choice, this won't work. Pansy told me that I'm better than any boys in Hogwarts, and I agree with her! Because boys like you suck"

"I like you, okay? Will you get that into your thick skull?" Theodore groaned and rolled his eyes.

"You're weird" You said, "what about me Is weird? " Theo asks.

"Your on and off stuff. You act interested, then when I actually wanna talk to you you get so dry, do you not think of that? Or you're actually really dumb? "

"You ignored me too"

"That's because I wanted you to feel what I felt! "

You honestly felt sad but, anger was more visible. But Theo looked emotionless. He wasn't happy, angry, sad, he was just there.

You both wanted to say something, but you didn't. Neither you nor Theo said a thing. You opened your bag and found your book, well, technically his.

"Here's a book that i borrowed" You said, giving it to him. "You can keep it" Theo pushed the book back to you, but your hand didn't budge. "No thanks, theo.. Ive written somethings in pencil. Don't worry too much because it's so thin you could barely tell what I wrote, a single swipe with your finger or eraser, it'll be gone".

A week has passed. And you knew for a fact he didn't re read the book.

On your favorite page, you wrote 'three broomsticks, next month, 9:00 AM? ' a month ago.

You knew way more than to come there, or did you?

The marauders have to be a study in fandom racism and misogyny because how do throwaway white boys like evan barty regulus etc have so many fics art and edits based off like 3 mentions when woc like Angelina Padma Parvati who actually appear and do things in all the books get paid dust. This is the description. Everyone can read it and think if they truly want to join the subreddit/community or not:

This subreddit is a pro-Snape subreddit but also for Marauders era characters fans as well as Snape fans. To me Snape belongs in the Marauders era just as much as Regulus did and other teens that went down a bad road. I made this community because I love all characters and Snape is my favourite.

Snaters thus are prohibited from joining this community. Aside that, there is a certain type of Snape fans that I want to join my community too. Fans that agree with me on 4 things:

- Lily was not the best friend Snape could have

- Marauders were in fact horrible bullies

- Hogwarts (teachers and maruaders) played a major role in Snape choosing that DE path

- Snape was not the worst teacher in Hogwars

If you don't like Marauders or Slytherins or DE but DO like Snape a lot. It's best if you join the r/Snape or r/SeverusSnape community. Here I will mainly post anything related to marauders and Severus such as golden trio, DE, class of 1978, teachers and Slytherins that Snape was surrounded with.

If you dont agree with me on the 4 things I've stated but still love Snape but like other characters more such as marauders. It's best if you join the community r/maraudersgen.

Characters outside that such as Weasley family, ollivanders, Shacklebolt and so on will probably not be mentioned by me as the mod but maybe the community rhemselves will bring it up every now and then. In short the community will be Snape and Marauders based.

First up is the flairs/labeles/themes:

- Snater alert: you talk about someone that said a negative thing about Snape. Simple venting. People can answer you or not.

- Canon (discussion): you talk about the hp books so use this flair.

- Movie (discussion): anything related to the movie is a movie discussion. Let's say you want to make a comparison with the books, it's a movie discussion. If the HP movies is involved in your title of the post, it's a movie discussion.

- Headcanons (discussion): if you want throw out a headcanon there and discuss it. You can do so by using this flair. Also this counts as fanon by dictionary definition.

- Fanfic (discussion): maybe you've read fanfics or want to reach out to others, and talk about it or maybe give a fanfic as recommendation. Also plot bunnies go here. Plot bunnies that you simply want it to be out there and won't really do something with it.

- Alan Rickman: I've seen my fair share of fans loving Alana Rickman, especially as Snape and love to compare his roles to the one of Snape. If you're doing the comparing, you can use this flair.

- JKR: this flair is used to discuss the writer of HP series. Such as how she could've done it better or what she did amazingly.

- HP HBO series: we all heard about the series. This flair can be used for members that wish to speak about the series.

Now that I've explained the flairs/themes/labels. We can move onto characters. If you dislike characters while liking others because you're pro Snape. For example you hate Sirius but love regulus, ignore posts about Sirius then. Because this is a subreddit specifically for fans who are pro-Snape and love other characters (preferably all except filch and umbridge) as well to discuss them without being attacked.

If you did manage to get in and proceed to slander on Snape, you will then be removed depending on how horrible your slander was. Cussing Snape, cussing the user or death threats obviously have different levels of importance to them. Other users should feel safe to post without being attacked.

Thirdly, you don't have to post anything solely related to Snape. Such as regulus with Snape, James with Snape or lily with Snape. You can post characters individually too.

I know I sound strict but this community is like a ticking bomb. There is this fine line of being a pro Snape fan whilst liking the other characters with their flaws. That's why I want to be as clear as possible. Now finally. I wish you the best in the community. Hope you find it likeable and suitable to your taste.

Her favorite sister: Shockingly Bellatrix but she'd never admit it she'd always either say it varies or Narcissa

How she died/why the black family is hiding info about her: As mentioned in my previous post her mom doesn't like her and her mom is also Schizophrenic so she was in a episode and angry with Iris for mouthing off infront of voldemort so she stuck Iris's head in the bathtub and held her underwater (a usual punishment of hers) but she got a bit carried away and killed her she swore it was a accident when her husband found them so they staged it to look like she had been hit with avada kedavra and only the close family knew the truth and they buried it deep no one was even allowed to speak Iris's name.

Friends: all of the skittles, Arabella zabini (Blaise's mom) was one of her best friends, she was actually friends with Snape, Rabastan lestrange, and others.

Random lore: she would rank her family members with Regulus for fun her typical rank was Evan,Regulus,Bellatrix,Narcissa,Pandora,her dad,Sirius,Pandora and Evan's parents,Orion,Walburga and then in last place her mother.

She was supposed to be in married after Hogwarts graduation to Marcus nott (meaning she was almost Theodore Notts mother if she hadn't yk died).

She was around 17 when she died.

Iris and Sirius would talk about leaving together when they were left alone though she always knew her way out was marriage and he'd get out fighting tooth and nail but she was wrong her way out was death.

She was her parents last effort to produce an heir and her mother was very disappointed when she came out a girl (as she was with all her children).

Iris was top of her class in all her classes before her unfortunate death.

One of her favorite pastimes was to smoke in the greenhouse with Barty and Evan or Marcus.

Out of all of her friends only Regulus and Snape ever found out the truth of what happened to her. Regulus over heard a conversation between his mother and druella about it and Snape found out much later during the golden trio era when Narcissa was drunk and sad she told him her mother killed Iris and Snape said he figured that's what happened.

Iris closest non family member friends were Arabella,Barty,Dorcas,Marcus and Snape (I know we all hate him for being a weirdo so I can remove him from the equation but yk).

Arabella was driven insane not knowing what happened to Iris and not being allowed to talk about her (the black family is very threatening) she was lonely afterwards her only real friend remaining after everything was Marcus.

I think this is it for now however if we are interested in non canon/dead Iris Black then I will write a post about that.

Oh you know I need your dream cast for a Succession prequel, Sophie

Okay okay okay, SO first thing's first, my dream Succession prequel is set against the 80s clusterfuck expansion into parks because every little bit of canon we got about that era just cooks. You've got Logan meeting Frank (and probably Gerri), Logan's whirlwind romance then toxic marriage to Caroline, Logan starting to have the golden trio and reconnecting with Connor and dealing with the aftermath of what happened to, and with, Connor's mother! Plus Ewan may or may not be still involved in the company? (I choose to think he is!)

As a result, a lot of my casting is partially determined by the age the characters would be then, which means I've had to change some actual dream casting (Romola Garai as 40yo Gerri, my beloved), but it's also a pretty fun era to think about so that's fine.

Anyway, let David Tennant as Young(er) Ewan invite you in:

I really love the Snr. Roy's being from Scotland, and their backstory feels so entwined with Scottish WWII history, so I wanted to honour that a bit in the fancasting, but all the same, I think I probably would've cast David Tennant anyway. I think he can sell that simultaneous moral superiority and absolute hypocrisy in a way that Ewan needs, and honestly, I just love the idea of him reading Jesse Armstrong's dialogue, haha.

Was Karl working for Logan in the 80s? I choose to believe yes, because I love him. Jack Lowden's been one of those actors who's popped up in a few things I've watched lately - Fighting with My Family, Small Axe and Slow Horses in particular, and I've been consistently pretty impressed with him? I think he's got a good handle of comedic timing (important for anyone taking up the Karl mantle) but also is a compelling dramatic actor and I think he could kill it opposite...

David Rysdahl as Young Frank! I've always figured Frank would've been a bit younger than Logan, and I love that little glimpse we got in canon of Frank having been brought in to advise on the parks acquisition and then Logan basically making him an offer to stay. There's something extra crunchy there for me if Frank's a little wide-eyed at the time and Logan oozes that charm that we know that he can turn on when he wants to. I like the psychosexual drama, and I also like the idea of Frank having this weird sort of connection to Caroline and Kendall because he met them while he was still impressionable / in the midst of being swept up.

But yes, haha, David Rysdahl I think is a bit of an up-and-comer, which is kinda funny given he's been in a lot of stuff. I've liked him though in the newest season of Fargo, and lowkey think he looks a bit like a young Peter Friedman.

Honestly, I just loved her in Swallow a lot, and she played the smart, unhappy, unhinged, WASP-y wife there to such perfection that I think she'd be ideal for a young Gerri who's still better known as Baird's wife than as counsel. There's such an attitude and vulnerability to Haley too which I think would match J's quite well, plus they have a bit of a similar look too which works for me? I want to see her claw her way in! And I also want to see her toxic relationship with Caroline which leads to her being Shiv's godmother.

Speaking of...

Honestly, I went through a few people for Caroline and she was surprisingly hard to cast. A lot of actresses who felt like they might fit the bill - Michelle Dockery and Claire Foy were two that sprung to mind - didn't really work as I didn't think they could quite balance the acidity with the blunt charm and playfulness that Harriet Walter just does so well (and honestly is a testament to what an actress she is). But then! Jessie Buckley! I've loved Jessie in everything I've seen her in, from Women Talking to The Lost Daughter, but it was actually thinking about her turn in Misbehaviour which made me think of her for this, exactly because of how she can play, well playfulness.

Plus I think she'd be a lot of fun opposite...

I did say I''d go with a Scotsman! Ewan McGregor's been in a few mmm, less good things lately, which makes a turn in a role like Logan Roy could potentially be pretty great. He's always been a remarkable actor, and one who, I think, can find the heart in any role, which is arguably what any actor playing Logan needs. Plus I always tend to think Ewan has chemistry with everyone he acts opposite, and I think he could really sell Logan's naked charisma in this era in a way that would make sense given he's making some pretty questionable choices across the board in the 80s. my shifting lore is so odd because i minishifted the week i first found out about shifting to the wrong reality and forgot about that entire ordeal until like two months ago

and i was trying to shift to my lightning/golden trio era dr where i was sitting on the hogwarts express with harry but instead of shifting there i accidentally went to the marauders era (before knowing there was a fandom for that) and i saw aaron taylor-johnson as james instead of daniel radcliffe's harry

and then i came back like i don't think that was harry :D

anyway then almost exactly a year later i went on pinterest and found the marauders fandom and saw james potter on my fyp and i was holy shit isn't this the guy that i saw when i shifted

when i tell you i flipped my fucking lid because how tf did i see the james potter fancast if i didn't know what he even looked like before

anyways i'm in love with him now!!!!
