The options are limitless, and its adaptability ensures it seamlessly integrates into any design vision.
4. Natural Variability

5. Durability and Longevity
Marble is known for its durability, and Calacatta Gold is no exception. Properly sealed and cared for, this marble tile can withstand the test of time. It is resistant to scratches, chipping, and wear, making it an excellent choice for high-traffic areas. Regular maintenance will ensure that it retains its original sheen and beauty for generations to come.
6. Cool Underfoot
Calacatta Gold marble tile maintains a relatively cool temperature, which is especially appreciated in warmer climates. It can help keep the room comfortable even during hot summer months, making it an ideal choice for flooring in living spaces, kitchens, and bathrooms.

Potential buyers often appreciate the timeless beauty and long-term durability of Calacatta Gold marble.
8. Hygienic and Easy to Clean
Marble, when properly sealed, is a hygienic and easy-to-clean surface. It is non-porous, which means it won't harbor bacteria or allergens, making it a safe choice for areas where hygiene is crucial, such as kitchens and bathrooms. Regular cleaning with a mild detergent and water is usually all that's needed to maintain its pristine appearance.
9. Light Reflectivity
The polished finish of Calacatta Gold marble tile not only enhances its aesthetics but also contributes to its light reflectivity. 13. Ease of Repair
In the rare event of damage, such as a chipped corner or a small scratch, Calacatta Gold marble tile is relatively easy to repair. A professional stone restoration expert can restore the stone to its original condition, ensuring that your investment remains in impeccable shape.
14. Honed and Polished Finishes
Calacatta Gold marble comes in both honed and polished finishes. While the polished finish is known for its glossy appearance, the honed finish has a softer, matte look. This variety allows you to choose the finish that best suits your design preferences and practical needs.
15. Aesthetic Pairing with Various Colors
The neutral white and gray hues of Calacatta Gold marble make it an ideal pairing with a wide range of colors. Whether you prefer bold and contrasting shades or a monochromatic color scheme, this marble seamlessly integrates with your chosen palette, enhancing the overall aesthetics of your space.

word count: 4.5k
In which you officially enter into a world of high stakes and intense demands.
well kept masterlist
Your fingers traced the smooth edge of the new work bag that sat on your desk, a pristine luxury item whose brand you didn’t immediately recognize. It was medium-sized, big enough to fit your brand-new laptop, and an off-white color with pebble-textured leather.
“Wow, you clean up nice,” came a voice from behind you. You turned to find Eleanor approaching, coffee in hand.
Instinctively, you pulled down your skirt as she looked you over. You were effortlessly polished, for sure. You usually only get your hair professionally done for special occasions, opting for simple protective styles you could do yourself. However, you had to admit you felt pretty with your hair in a neat, braided rose that reached down to your lower back.
The clothes only amplified this unfamiliar sensation. After trying on eight outfits the previous night, you had settled on a cherry-red cropped blazer and a matching pleated skirt. You’d chosen the shortest heels Rafe had sent—a pair of white kitten heels adorned with gold bows. Your makeup, subtly applied, complemented the overall look.
Eleanor set her things down, straightened, and placed a hand on her slender hips. “Take your bag,” she said. “I’ll show you where Rafe expects you to work.”
“I thought that was my desk.”
“He’ll tell you where you need to be and when you need to be there.”
Her answer was simple enough.
You entered the luxurious space that Rafe called an office once again. Even when he wasn’t in the room, you were intimidated by it, “He had this brought in for you,” Facing the wall on the side of the room that held Rafe’s desk, in the corner, was a simple mahogany desk. The miniature version of Rafe’s desk. A cushioned stool was placed underneath and on top were a notebook, a cup of pens, and a small lamp, “This is where he’ll expect you most mornings. You’re to review his calendar before he arrives, memorize it, and you’ll brief him on the day when he walks in.”
“I’m ssss-supposed to be in here with him …all day? What if I, you know, need you?”
“I’m right down the hallway, or you can email me.”
Eleanor spent the next thirty minutes showing you their emailing system and how to access Rafe’s calendar. She even shared a large cheat sheet she’d made with all of Rafe’s preferred restaurants, coffee shops, hotels, and the names and numbers of his home staff.
When she left you alone, you looked around the room. The view of the office from your corner was daunting. However, your heart had been beating too fast ever since you met Rafe.
You turned your attention back to the calendar system. It was sleek and well-organized, and luckily, it was straightforward enough to navigate. You took note of his key meetings for the day and repeated them over in your head. You wrote down some notes in case your mind drew a blank. It was your first day, and he’d give you some grace, right?
You needed to be able to anticipate these needs, but all you knew about Rafe Cameron was that he was complex and demanding.
The sound of footsteps in the corridor drew your attention, and hurriedly, you glanced down at your note sheet again. Standing from your seat, you smoothed out your skirt, and with your notes in hand, you folded your palms in front of you.
Unconsciously, as he pushed open the doors, you sucked air into your lungs. You held your breath until his eyes met with yours. In comparison to when you first met him, he was dressed down. He wore a short-sleeve black polo black dress pants, black leather penny loafers on his feet and a briefcase in hand. His face was stoic as he looked you over and let the doors close behind him. As big as they were, they were practically silent went they closed, adding to the ominous feeling in the room.
You smiled, or tried to, “Good morning, Mr. Cameron, I’m–”
“I want you right here,” He interrupted, pointing down at the floor a foot before him. You stepped forward, hoping you wouldn’t trip like you had while practicing walking in them. Despite how he towered over you when you were this close, you made yourself comfortable there, “You’ll be right there every day when I walk in. Try again.”
“Good morning, Mr. Cameron-”
“I prefer Sir.”
Try again. Unfortunately, you were pretty used to being interrupted and forced to stop and start your sentences. “Good morning, Sir.” You were smiling as much as you could, but your throat hurt like your body wanted to cry. “Today, you’ll sss-start with three sss-separate online conferences with potential investors: Mr. Daniel, Mrs. Hunt, and Mr. Rivera. After lunch, you’ll have your weekly group meetings with department heads. You’ll start with Finance at one o’clock, Legal at two, and Design and Architecture at three. Your meeting with Property Management at four o’clock was canceled but rescheduled for Wednesday. For the rest of the day, you will be free to catch up with emails and ssss-submit the …. sss-ssss-strategic plan report you’ve been working on.”
He nodded once throughout your briefing, his face remaining impassive. You thought he might cringe at your mistakes, but he didn’t. You couldn’t help but feel like a strange choice for this job. Why would someone like him want to listen to you?
“Good,” he confirmed, and you were relieved only for a moment. You were okay until he started to look you over, “Turn around.”
You weren’t sure why you looked in his eyes to see if he was being serious. Of course, he was being serious. Awkwardly, you face away from him until he adds, “In a circle, please.”
You felt your cheeks heat up from embarrassment before you faced him again.
“I have a question,” You said.
“Yeah?”
“About the clothes. I …I didn’t know if it w-would be okay to return ssss-ssss-some of them. I just, there’s sss-so many.”
“And?” Rafe pressed, his brow furrowed.
“I-I don’t have that much room for them.”
“Hmm,” He thought briefly, “How’s this? You take a picture of yourself in each outfit and then email them to me, and I’ll decide which ones I want you to wear. But everything red can stay. I like the red.”
You opened your mouth to respond, but he brushed past you and returned to his desk. Unsure whether you were supposed to move or stay put, you waited in place.
“I’ll take a coffee. Black. Thanks.”
Eager to escape the room and not feel the weight of his gaze, you hurried out of the doors. Panicked, you approached Eleanor’s desk, waving your hands to get her attention. She was on the phone, but you mouthed “Coffee.” Acting as your life vest, she pointed you toward one of the many doors that lined the wall across from the reception area.
Inside, you expected to find a normal breakroom, but the room’s decoration reminded you more of a lounge. Black coffee should be easy enough, but your hands shook slightly as you worked the modern, sleek coffee maker. After you prepared the coffee, you took a breath, and made your way back to his office. You kept yourself as composed as possible, and he glanced up at you briefly as you entered. You set it carefully on the coaster near his computer.
He didn’t directly look at you or the coffee; you took that as your sign to retreat to your desk.
You sat quietly as he attended all three of his virtual meetings. Inevitably, you started to listen. Sometimes, you’d tune in, wanting to learn something, but you gave up a few times after realizing how complex things were.
When he finished all his meetings, he spoke up, “What are the arrangements for lunch?”
“Lunch …” You echoed, thinking about the calendar you recognize, “Is there sss-something sss-specific you’re in the mood for, sir?”
“On Mondays, I have lunch with my COO and CFO. We have standing reservations at several restaurants. You’ll need to pick one, call, and make sure everyone knows the plans.”
“Okay,” You nodded, “Yes, sir.”
Was that on the cheat sheet? Had you missed that? After scrolling a few times, you will find the list of restaurants and senior team members.
You called The Prime, an upscale steakhouse, for Rafe and his senior team, ensuring every detail was perfectly arranged. When it was time to leave, you stood to bid Rafe goodbye, only to be told you were expected to join him. Quickly gathering your things, you followed him down the elevator to the parking garage. Eleanor gave you an encouraging thumbs up and smile as you passed her.
You must’ve looked frightened.
Rafe’s choice of vehicle, a massive black truck with gleaming rims and immaculate leather seat, wasn’t a surprise, but his courteous gesture was. He opened the door for you and gently placed a hand on your hip to steady you as you navigated the high step into the truck.
“Th-Thank you,” You spoke, your voice small before he closed the door.
As you sat during the ride, you felt your thighs were too exposed. You crossed your legs, trying to alleviate that feeling, but it proved useless, “You’ll get used to it,” Rafe’s voice snapped you out of being consumed by your thoughts. You hadn’t realized he was even paying attention to you.
Hesitantly, your eyes roamed over him. His shirt's short sleeves did little to conceal the strength in his arms and the defined lines of his chest.
“You have a boyfriend?” He asked, his tone relaxed. He wasn’t allowed to ask that, but you recalled the words he had used with you the week prior. Would you fuck him? He’d already crossed a line. You needed to get used to his brashness, “A girlfriend?” He continued.
“I-I-I,” Breathe in, slowly release, “I don’t.”
“Have you ever had one?”
The underlying implication of his words made you defensive, and you crossed your arms, “Have you, Sir?”
He let our a short laugh, “You just seem a little uptight,” Your lips parted and eyes widened.
“What-”
“I haven’t dated anyone seriously in a while. But you don’t need to date someone seriously to get what you need from them. I guess I’m just wondering if you have someone who . . . relieves your stress.”
“I really, really don’t want to answer that,” You spoke slowly.
“Relax, we’re just talking. Is this going to be a problem? I’m just trying to get to know my newest employee.”
It felt like a mind game. He wasn’t like anyone you’d ever met before—every word, every glance from him seemed designed to put you on edge, to make you second-guess yourself.
“No, sir,” You replied, trying to keep your voice steady.
“Are you a virgin, Y/N?” He asked suddenly as if he’d had some brilliant revelation.
“N-No,” You stuttered, lying through your teeth, “I’m not.”
He made a “hmm” sound as he glanced at you, “Of course you’re not. Forgive me; I shouldn’t jump to conclusions.”
You understood quickly he wasn’t actually looking for your forgiveness. He was testing you, pushing boundaries just to see how you’d react.
When you arrived, Rafe pulled up to the valet stand, and a nicely dressed attendant quickly came over to open your door. You managed to step out with as much grace as you could muster, feeling the weight of Rafe’s eyes on you as you did. He was out of the truck in a heartbeat, striding around to join you, his hand again guiding you with that firm touch on your lower back. It was possessive, a silent declaration that you belonged to him, at least for the duration of this lunch.
The restaurant's setting was sophisticated and private, and you reached the table reserved for your group. The two of you were last to arrive, which meant all eyes fell on you as Rafe pulled out a chair for you right next to his seat. Two men were at the table, and you were taken aback by the fact that they were as young as Rafe.
“Guys, this is Y/N,” Rafe gestured to you, making himself comfortable, “Y/N, meet Topper Thornton and Kelce Adams.”
You managed to speak to them, though your words stumbled slightly. They eyed you the same way Rafe often did, like prey. You could almost imagine your name listed on the menu in front of them. But Rafe, with a swift shift in conversation, cut off their questions, his tone a clear warning. When you took a bit too long to decide on your meal, Rafe didn’t hesitate. He ordered for you the moment the waiter arrived, a subtle reminder of the control he held over every aspect of your life, even what you ate.
You couldn’t help but notice that Topper shared Eleanor’s last name. Were they married? Siblings? The thought lingered as you made a mental note to ask her later. Without another word, you pulled out your notebook, ready to take notes for the meeting.
Something in his last meeting had angered him. When he returned to his office, you watched him cross the room; your mouth wanted to form the words to ask, “What’s wrong?” but your lips pressed into a thin line instead.
As he settled in his desk, you pretended to be engrossed in your notes, hoping to avoid his attention. Ignoring the cold air in the room and the dark cloud hovering above him grew impossible. Out of the corner of your eye, you watched him. He pinched the bridge of his nose with his fingers and tapped at the surface of his desk. Was it anxiety he was feeling?
“Come here, Y/N?”
Startled, you dropped your pen on the floor, the sound making him fully turn his head towards you. Awkwardly, you picked it up and set it down on your desk. You fixed your skirt as you crossed the distance between his desk and yours to keep it from riding up.
“Yes, sss-sir?”
His eyes were dark as he spun his chair to face you, “Tell me,” He began, “What do you think you did wrong today?”
Your mind raced. Did you do something wrong that you hadn’t realized? There were plenty of mistakes, but it was only your first day and you’d been completely thrown out of your comfort zone.
“I’m not ssss-sssure, sss-sir,” Your voice was barely above a whisper, a grimace on your face as you tried to force out the words.
“Not sure?” He echoed.
“I should’ve know t-t-to …” You pushed through that “stuck” feeling, “Make your lunch reservations.”
“That’s one.”
“Uhm,” Your voice trailed off as your bottom lip shook. You felt like a child being scolded. Why did you keep freezing? Why did you let him speak to you that way? “I-I-I-I-I…”
“Does it hurt, you know, when it gets that bad?” Rafe leaned back in his chair, his arms folded against his chest, now looking at you with curiosity and frustration.
You shook your head because it was all you could manage.
“You can’t think of anything else, huh?”
“I’m sss-sss-sorry,” As a tear fell from your eye, he stood from his chair.
He shushed you, grabbing ahold of the top of your arms, “You know I could have chose anyone for this job?”
You nodded.
“But I chose you,” You nodded again, “I do love to see you apologize, sweetheart, but you have to know what you’re apologizing for.”
“I’m sss-sssory,” You couldn’t help the apology that tumbled out again, “Fff-for not knowing.”
“There you go, yeah, that’s better,” He pulled you closer, and you felt his hand brush the strands of your hair over your shoulder, keeping it from your face, “I told you this would be a mutually beneficial relationship. You need money, someone to care take care of you… I need ... I need you. When you’re with me, you’re mine to do with as I please. Do you understand?”
You nodded, feeling like he was the only thing keeping you grounded. He dominated the space, his presence suffocating, and the fear of displeasing him made your breath catch in your throat. The boundaries between you blurred even further, leaving you more trapped than ever.
“Good girl,” one of his hands wrapped around the side of your neck. His gaze pierced into yours, his mind racing behind them, and he sighed as he mentally concluded, “I can’t punish you just yet.”
“Punish?” You asked in a whisper, his face moving in closer.
“You gotta learn somehow, right?”
Your eyes darted from his eyes to his lips, panicked. Nothing could have prepared you for him smashing his lips against yours. One hand was on your neck, and the other wrapped behind you, pulling you into him. Even as his kiss overwhelmed you, your mind couldn’t let go of the word he had just used—punish.
“I have to fuck you. I have to,” He growled between kisses.
Your hands pushed at his chest, but it was like trying to move a brick wall, “Please, Rafe,” You tried to say. Part of you thought using his real name would snap him from his trance, but he groaned into your mouth.
You’d never been kissed like this; no one had ever explored you with their tongue, and part of your mind seemed to rejoice. The other part, the rational one, told you to escape. You started to use your strength to pull from him as you stepped backward, but that only made him grip you harder.
You yelped, and when Rafe opened his eyes again, he smiled. Whatever weighed heavy on his mind before had clearly been relieved by the game he was trying to play. You stumbled back when he let you go, almost falling on your behind, “Go on,” He said with a smirk, “Just makes it more fun for me.”
Of all the games, you liked this one the least. You turned to flee, but before you could reach the door, he lifted you off the ground. You screamed, and the next thing you knew, you were being thrown onto the couch. Rafe pinned you down easily, his weight crushing you as he reached for your legs. You shut your thighs tightly, and his glare felt like a knife in your side.
“Do not!” He exploded, and you whimpered, “Hey, hey, sweetheart, I don’t want you to ever close your legs to me.”
“Rafe, please … please d-don’t,” Someone would hear. Eleanor would hear, wouldn’t she? She’d stop him before he went too far.
“God, I’d beat your fucking ass if I didn’t need to be inside of you right now,” He growled, prying your legs apart and tearing away your underwear as soon as he could feel it. He wrapped one hand around your throat, squeezing just enough to keep you pinned down, while the other undid his belt. “You don’t make demands anymore, do you understand?”
“I’ve-I’ve nnn-never…”
Understanding flashed in his eyes.
“You're a fucking virgin?” You nodded, feeling a small piece of hope, “We can add lying to that list of things you’ve done wrong, huh?”
He seemed to pause which you felt grateful for. His belt was already undone, his hips sinking into yours, “No one’s ever tasted you?” You shook your head, “You’ve never had a cock in your mouth either?”
You looked away, embarrassed.
“Fuck,” He breathed out, “You’re gonna be all mine.”
“Please-” You tried again, but he silenced you, pressing his lips to yours again.
This time, he was more deliberate with his movements. His hands traveled higher, and he reached into your shirt to gently knead at your breasts. He moved slower like he was savoring the moment. At the same time, you felt even more tortured. Your body betrayed you, responding to his caresses as if they were safe, as if he were someone you trusted. He was making all the right moves and your mind felt even more confused then your body.
Fingers pinched gently at your nipples and your lips parted into a moan. He used it as an opportunity to explore your mouth further. Next, he moved down your jaw and then he nuzzled his face into your neck. There was a place on your collarbone he’d found, one that made you yelp in pleasure, a spot you didn’t know existed. That’s what he wanted. To conquer you.
You felt warm between your legs and a slickness as you tried to move your legs. Rafe was still taking his time. He’d lifted your shirt, pulled down your bra, and placed your left breast into his mouth. You cried out, your back arching in an automatic response. If he kept going, you knew you could finish just from this alone, and the thought filled you with a mix of shame and despair.
Slowly, methodically, he dismantled your guard.
When he sensed you were ready, that he’d successfully turned your body on, he pulled down his briefs. You couldn’t bring yourself to look down. It was gonna hurt, either way, why dwell on the size? “Tell me,” He kissed your jaw, leaning down to your ear, “Ask me to take your virginity.”
You tensed, “I-I d-don’t.”
“I can make it hurt, Y/N,” He warned, “I promise, you want me to be gentle”
He pressed his tip against your entrance, and you were already cringing, “Fucking ask me, or I’ll push it all inside.”
“Will you …t-take my virginity?”
“Please,” he corrected, a dark satisfaction in his tone.“Where’s your manners?”
“Please, take mmm-my vvvv-vvvv-virginity,” He slowly started to enter you, and you pressed your hands against his chest.
You started to breathe heavily, “T-T-Too mmm-mmm-much.”
He pushed in more, “That’s just half, sweetheart. Take a deeper breath for me."
You listened even though he was hurting you. Even now, you believed him to be better than you. Looking up at him, you slowly breathed in and out. As you controlled your breathing, he started to move in and out of you. He cursed and grunted into your ear, soon falling into a rhythm.
Pain began to blur with something else, something you didn’t want to acknowledge.
It was a foreign feeling, being full of him, reaching to parts of you that had never been discovered. The only thing that felt wrong to you was how it was happening. Is this how it always felt? So completely all consuming? You were warm everywhere, a pressure building at your core, and you struggled to make a sound other than a moan.
With each thrust you let out a yip, not realizing that you’d stopped pushing at his chest and started pawing at it. That only encouraged him further. He reached underneath you, lifting your left leg to your chest, as he grabbed a handful of your ass. He pried you open further in this position and he looked down at you …almost grateful. He was savoring you and every moment that he was touching you, infiltrating your body. You’d never had someone want you like this.
Before you were even really aware of it, the pressure inside of you had built to a crescendo, and you’d cried out against Rafe’s lips.
He smiled against yours, “Good girl, sweetheart,” Tears escaped your eyes again, this time because of how confused your hormones were. It felt like an uncontrolled explosion of emotion.
Now, the sensation actually felt like something you couldn’t physically handle, “Oh my god, o-oh my god, ” You spoke over and over as you went back to pushing at his chest.
“Stay,” he commanded, his body pressing you down further as he slowed his movements, his rhythm faltering. “I’m almost done,” he added, a hint of amusement in his voice. “You’re squeezing so tight.”
“Please,” you begged, your legs starting to shake. “Please, Rafe.”
Your words seemed to bring his climax. Your second orgasm came painfully, and you scrambled to free yourself from under his weight after he finished sinking into you. Your legs didn’t stop shaking, but at least you could catch your breath.
Your bare bottom hit the plush carpet of his seating area, listening as Rafe’s heavy breathing slowed. You fixed your bra and top before you started to search for your underwear. To your dismay, they were completely torn.
“I’ll get you some new ones, some nicer ones, yeah?”
You nodded, though you weren’t sure why. Feeling his gaze, you pushed your skirt down next. Looking down, you realize his remnants were sliding down your thighs. You just shut your legs tighter. A hand on your back made you glance up at him. His eyes were still dark, but there was more satisfaction than before.
“We’re done for today, but before you leave, uh, Eleanor needs to see you.”
He stood, and you looked away as he started to zip up his pants and fasten his belt again.
“Th-That’s it?”
“Until tomorrow,” He said, his tone returned to business, as if the last few minutes were merely part of the workday.
You thought he was returning to his desk, but Rafe walked to your desk and collected your purse and computer. As you stood, your body ached, and you realized how disheveled you must look. Was your makeup smudged across your face? Did he bruise the back of your thighs?
Rafe brought you your things, his hands finding your lower back, “Go home. Get some rest. And don’t forget about those pictures, yeah?”
You nodded although your mind was elsewhere. The next thing you knew, you were standing on the other side of the door, clutching your bag tightly to your chest. Your mind started to wonder what exactly had caused all this. Was he mad at you, or was that I an excuse to …ruin you.
When you made it to Eleanor’s desk she asked you, “How was your first day?”
You nodded, trying to shake your expression into a smile, “I-It was … o-okay.”
There was no way she could have missed it in your eyes or in your appearance, but she continued, “I just need you to sign that NDA before you go. It’s completely standard procedure. It just assures that everything you see and hear is confidential. Protects the business.”
You took the papers from her and you tried to keep from shaking, “I can explain anything you need-”
“That’s okay,” You shook your head, knowing you just wanted to go home and hug your stuffed frog, “Thank you.”
You flipped through it quickly and signed your name where she indicated, “There’s one more thing. Are you on birth control?”
You stared, knowing the implication of the words. Why didn’t she warn you before you agreed to this?
You shook your head.
“You’ll need a Plan B. Should I pick it up for you, or would you prefer to do it yourself?”
Of course, you’d had friends who’d bought it before but the idea of going by yourself right now made you want to be sick. And you couldn’t tell your friends … at least not yet, “Could you … g-get it?”
“Of course, I’ll have it tomorrow,” She nodded and offered you a polite smile, “Do you need any help getting to the parking deck?”
You shook your head quickly, “I www-walked, thank you.”
As you made your way to the elevator, you wondered how your day spiraled so entirely out of your control.
Please reblog WITH your thoughts on the chapter to be added to the taglist for the story :) Also pls feel free to send me anons about your predictions/what you'd like to see in the story!

❝ 𝘏𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘶𝘵𝘴 ❞
lighter lorenz x afab!reader
genre: slice of life
summary: your most consistent “customer” always ends up crawling back to you
wc: 2k

“I should charge you extra for this, Lorenz,” you drawled, popping the screen door open with your hip as you walked back out onto the porch, a pair of scissors twirling on your finger. With practiced ease you snapped them into your hand, pointing the sharp tip in his direction.
“I don’t take well to traitors.”
You could see his eyebrows raise behind his sunglasses, a low whistle passing his lips.
“I’ll keep that in mind next time, boss.”
“You better, I’m not one to give chances freely.” You teased before nodding your head towards the steps of your porch.
“Now take a seat, scruffy, we’ll see if we can’t make a Champion out of you yet.”
You grinned as he plopped dutifully down on your porch steps, long legs stretching out comfortably as he leaned back on his elbows. His head lolled back in your direction, vibrant shades of teal green twinkling over the gold rim of his glasses as he grinned in the same boyish, lopsided fashion you had grown to expect of him.
“That’s a big claim to make, saying you can make someone a champion with a pair of scissors.”
Your eyes rolled as you sat criss crossed behind him, plucking the sunglasses off his face before sliding them onto your head, watching the sharp recoil of his features when the burning orange glow of the setting sun assaulted his uncovered eyes. You pinched his bangs between your fingers, spreading the strands between the pads of your thumb and index before allowing them to feather back against his forehead.
“Well it’s certainly easier to win when you can actually see.”
He righted his head with a conceding sigh. “You’ve got me there.”
Your hands carded through his hair, thick waves of dark green-teal sliding between your fingers. It made you a bit angry that he had achieved an envious degree of volume and softness that a woman would kill for knowing that he was probably still using some 14-in-1 product that could strip grease off a floor, wash dishes, and his hair with the same bottle. Perhaps it was your sign that genetics could flourish under any circumstances, and that Lighter was simply god’s favorite delinquent.
“A barber with a waitlist, huh?” You mused, drawing a strand of his hair taunt between two fingers. The scissor blades shined like gold in the dying light, severing any split ends as you trimmed a few millimeters off.
“The city sure is a unique place.”
He hummed. “It’s not all bad, I guess.”
Part of you was inclined to disagree with him. You weren’t particularly fond of the city in any regard except for the variety in products offered. It was too noisy, too busy, too much stress over even the simplest of things.
It was a far cry from where you sat now, the evening sun warming your skin as the desert air of the Outer Ring carried the dry scents of sage and willow to your lungs, the landscape doused in a golden glow that stained the earthy reds of the stone in vibrant hues. The whistles of distant warblers and the rumble of engines zipping down the highways, the rustling of the tumbleweeds rolling over the packed earth, the gentle snipping of the scissors in your hands as stray hairs broke loose under the sharpened blades.
A melody of a deserted land that seemed so foreign and rogue to most evoked nothing but an easy sense of homely comfort. One that bathed the simplicity of your task in a halo of nostalgia, the texture of the porch under your legs, your chipped nail polish undercut with rich hues of raven green, the comfortable silence that filled the air reserved for close relationships.
Your nails tickled, featherlight touches brushing over the shell of his ear. He shuddered, goosebumps rising harshly on his skin under his jacket.
You dusted the stray hairs off his shoulders as you stood with a small groan, the grooves of the porch tattooing your legs with the texture of the worn wood. “Alright, I’m done.”
You pocketed your scissors, jerking a thumb towards the screen door. “Come in and wash up, can’t have you itching on the ride home.”
You held the door, propped against it as you watched him shed his jacket, shamelessly enjoying the tight planes of his muscles shifting under his t-shirt as he tossed his jacket over the porch rail, chased by the vibrant red of his scarf.
“You should be careful making offers like that,” He said as he sauntered past you, plucking his glasses off the top of your head. “You never know what kind of unsavory folks could wander out of the desert.”
You raised a brow in playful disbelief. “Maybe you should be careful accepting invitations to shower at strange women’s houses,” you countered as the door slammed loudly in its casing, though if it was the sound or the sharp way your hand connected with his ass that made him jump you weren’t fully sure.
You shot him a wink as he whipped around. “You never know what kind of unsavory things they could want in exchange~”
To say you enjoyed any chance to tease the legendary red scarf of the Sons of Calydon would be a massive understatement. It had always been that way, even from the first time Big Daddy showed up on your doorstep with him and asked you to whip him into shape.
He was thinner, hair shaggy and skin littered in bruises that stained it shades of red, purple and yellow. He didn’t talk at all then, shoulders hunched forward as you trimmed away months of disrepair, gave him a proper shave and shower and sent him off after a warm meal. It was purely transactional if not somewhat born from the pity that stirred in your gut at the hollow, glazed look in his eyes that lingered for months on end.
He would come back every few months for the same thing until his head stood a little taller, shoulders prouder, a healthy tan kissing his skin alongside the occasional bump or bruise brought on by one of his scrapes as new champion for the Sons of Calydon.
Conversation flowed a little more freely and lightly, the atmosphere of your simple home a backdrop for peaceful evenings even when your scissors weren’t needed, one of warm blankets draped over your bare legs as you sat on the porch swing, hot tea warming a ceramic glass between your chilled fingers as the cries of coyotes mingled with the deep purple sky, nothing but the stars as their witness.
Lighter still dutifully sat on the top step, boots thumping against the wood in tune with the crackle of the radio that whispered in from your kitchen where you left it running. You’d tease him about the girls in Blazewood or whatever pretty little number you had witnessed walk up to him on the street until his ears would stain with a hearty red flush, a hand rubbing at the back of his neck as he refuted your words and attempted to redirect the conversation.
If he really hated the teasing talks as much as he claimed you were confident he wouldn’t keep showing up with a case of Nitrofuel asking if you were free for the evening.
You placed a couple bowls on the table, the heat off the contents curling pleasantly under the yellowed bulb of the dining room light as you heard the shower shut off.
“Feeling like a new man yet?” You called through the door as you dropped some silverware in the bowls.
“It’s hard to beat a fresh cut.” He replied as the door to the bathroom swung open, his hair falling limply over his forehead still damp from the shower. Give it another few minutes to air dry and it would surely begin to curl and bounce back to life.
“I’d like to see one of those fancy city barbers have better customer service!” You stated matter of factly, waltzing up to lean on the doorframe, the light dancing over the apples of your cheeks as the floral scent of your Carlishe shampoo met your nose. The girls would give him a fit over it later to be sure.
He’s smiling at your small talk, a hand rubbing the line of his jaw thoughtfully as he squinted at his reflection in the mirror.
“You still keep those extra razors?”
You snorted. “Of course, how else can I service all the scruffy vagrants that wander through my door?”
You vanished from the doorway for a moment, and he could hear your feet thumping across the hardwood floor as you came and went, your face mischievous as you shouldered into the little bathroom with him and hopped up on the sink counter.
You brandished the single bladed razor with smug pride, a finger rising to crook in his direction as your lips curled invitingly. “Come here, Mr. Lorenz, and let me finish you off in a proper fashion.”
He was like putty in your hands and he stepped closer, hands braced on the sink at your side as your own hand came up to trace the curve of his jaw. It felt like old times, you mused to yourself, painting a thin layer of shaving cream against his skin. You used to do it all the time, though it was a bit more challenging when his skin was tender from the bruises that blossomed beneath the surface.
He didn’t hold eye contact with you then like he does now, vibrant hues of green smoldering under thick lashes trained on the curve of your lips, the delicate way your teeth teased the lower in concentration as you glided the blade across his skin with a skilled hand.
The scent of the spice in the shaving cream tickling your nose as it mingled with the florals of the shampoo, his breath warm as it fanned over your cheeks.
“If you keep staring like that,” you tapped the razor off in the sink, running the blade under the water as you turned back and met his gaze head on.
“I might think you like me a little more than just as your barber.”
“And what if I said I did?”
It came out in a breath, and you weren’t sure for a moment if it was accidental or intentional, some form of truth rolling in seas of green that you would never claim to be able to read. You stared at him for a long, silent moment, a challenge brewing on the tip of your tongue.
“You won’t.”
It was flat and to-the-point, a truth spoon fed by force down his throat like a bitter medicine to an unruly child. You placed the razor neatly on the side of the sink.
“You’re not brazen enough to jump into something without hesitation,” you elaborated, a hand rising to brush loose hairs behind your ear as you met his gaze once more. “And I think you value me too much as a friend to act carelessly.”
He huffed, fingers tapping on the countertop. “You say that like you’re confident that you know me or something.”
Your shoulders shrugged. “Not like you’ve been much of a stranger in the past.”
He couldn’t challenge you there if he tried, his very presence in your home right now a glaring reminder that the two of you had never been fully unfamiliar, always toeing some invisible line between friends and something a little past that. Maybe it did give him pause to think of upsetting the delicate balance of the game you seemed perpetually locked in.
You slipped off the counter, sliding past him without a word. You were like sand filtering between his fingers, there one moment and gone just as quickly if his grip relinquished even for a moment.
“I don’t mind waiting, I consider myself a rather patient person.” You spoke, your back turned to him as you plucked one of the bowls off the table. You spooned a helping into your mouth, humming thoughtfully as you turned, waggling your empty utensil at him.
“Jus’ be a good boy and don’t go cheating on me with another barber in the meantime.”
His grin was as crooked as ever.
“Wouldn’t dream of it.”

Transforming Spaces: The Versatility of Slat Wall Panels, MDF Panels, and Wall Profiles
In contemporary interior design, versatility and functionality are key. This is where innovative materials like slat wall panels, MDF panels, and wall profiles come into play. These elements not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of a space but also offer practical solutions for organization and customization.
Slat Wall Panels: A Modern Solution for Display and Storage
Slat wall panels are an excellent choice for both residential and commercial spaces. Their design consists of horizontal slats mounted on a wall, which allows for the easy attachment of various accessories such as shelves, hooks, and baskets. This modular approach provides a customizable storage solution that can be adapted to fit different needs. Retailers and homeowners alike appreciate slat wall panels for their ability to create organized, visually appealing displays. They are particularly popular in retail environments for showcasing products, but their use is expanding into home decor, garages, and office spaces.
MDF Panels: A Blend of Functionality and Elegance
Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF) panels are a staple in modern interior design due to their versatility and smooth finish. Made from wood fibers and resin, MDF panels are engineered to provide a stable, durable surface that can be easily cut, shaped, and painted. This makes them ideal for a wide range of applications, from cabinetry and wall panels to intricate moldings and custom furniture. Their smooth texture allows for a high-quality finish, making MDF panels a preferred choice for projects that demand a polished look.
Wall Profiles: Enhancing Architectural Elements
Wall profiles are essential for adding finishing touches and architectural details to a space. These profiles come in various shapes and sizes, including cornices, architraves, and skirting boards. They serve both decorative and functional purposes, framing windows and doors, covering joints between walls and ceilings, and adding character to otherwise plain surfaces. Wall profiles can be made from materials like MDF, polyurethane, or plaster, each offering unique benefits in terms of durability and ease of installation.
Conclusion: Combining Style and Function
Incorporating slat wall panels, MDF panels, and wall profiles into your design strategy can significantly elevate the look and functionality of any space. Slat wall panels offer flexible storage and display options, MDF panels provide a versatile and high-quality surface for various applications, and wall profiles add refined details that enhance the overall aesthetic. Together, these elements create a cohesive and stylish environment that meets both practical and design needs.
Whether you're revamping a retail space, updating your home decor, or designing an office, these materials offer numerous possibilities for customization and innovation. Embrace their potential to transform your surroundings with elegance and efficiency.

Transforming your bathroom into a luxurious retreat doesn't have to be daunting, especially with the timeless elegance of black marble. The deep, rich tones of black marble not only exude sophistication but also create a striking contrast that can elevate any space. In this blog post, we will explore the allure of a black marble bathroom, highlighting how this dramatic feature can infuse modern elegance into your home.
Black Marble Bathroom
The black marble bathroom is a stunning choice for those looking to create a sophisticated and luxurious space. This bold design element can transform an ordinary bathroom into an exquisite sanctuary. The rich tones and unique veining of black marble bring an air of elegance and style that is both timeless and contemporary.
When incorporating black marble into your bathroom, consider options such as black marble countertops, vanity tops, and even accent walls. The contrast against lighter colors can create a striking and dramatic effect, making your space feel more expansive and well-defined.
One of the key benefits of a black marble bathroom is its versatility. It pairs beautifully with a variety of materials, such as brushed gold or chrome fixtures, and complements different color palettes, from soft whites to vibrant jewel tones. This adaptability allows homeowners to personalize their space while maintaining a cohesive look.
There are various finishes available for black marble, each offering a unique aesthetic. A polished finish provides a sleek, glossy surface that reflects light beautifully, while a honed finish delivers a more understated, matte look that can soften the overall appearance of the bathroom.
Lighting plays a crucial role in showcasing the beauty of a black marble bathroom. Consider installing ambient lighting to highlight the natural veins and texture of the black marble. Additionally, task lighting around mirrors can enhance visibility and add warmth to the space.
To add depth and interest, incorporate other design elements that create contrast and texture. For example, pairing black marble with wooden accents can create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Textiles such as plush towels and bath mats in lighter shades can also soften the overall look.
With its rich aesthetic and timeless appeal, a black marble bathroom is more than just a design choice; it’s an opportunity to create a luxurious retreat in your home. Whether you’re planning a complete renovation or simply looking to refresh your existing space, integrating black marble can elevate your bathroom to new heights.
Modern Marble Bathroom
When it comes to designing a modern marble bathroom, the emphasis is on clean lines, minimalistic features, and the striking appeal of marble. This luxurious stone, often associated with opulence, can elevate your bathroom space into a sanctuary of relaxation.
One of the defining characteristics of a modern marble bathroom is the color palette. While many opt for classic whites and creams, darker shades like black or gray marble create a bold statement. Black marble, with its rich depth and unique veining, can transform traditional notions of bathroom design, making it a chic and contemporary choice.
A key feature in a modern marble bathroom is the seamless integration of marble into various elements, from countertops to flooring. Large format tiles have become increasingly popular, creating a sense of space and continuity. Pairing these tiles with elegant fixtures and understated accessories enhances the overall aesthetic without detracting from the beauty of the marble.
Vanities in a modern marble bathroom often showcase the stone’s natural patterns, turning functional furniture into a visual centerpiece. Choosing sleek hardware and soft-close drawers can maintain a streamlined look, while integrated lighting adds warmth and sophistication.
For those seeking to add a touch of personality, consider incorporating wood elements or contrasting materials like glass. These choices balance the heaviness of marble with lightness, making the bathroom feel both inviting and serene.
Incorporating plants or greenery can breathe life into the cool, polished surfaces of a modern marble bathroom. Strategic placement of greenery not only adds color but also promotes a calming environment.
Lastly, don’t forget about the practicality of maintaining your modern marble bathroom. While marble is undeniably glamorous, it requires regular sealing and care to keep it in pristine condition. Choosing the right products for cleaning and maintenance will ensure your marble retains its beauty for years to come.
Bathroom Marble Design
When it comes to creating a luxurious and sophisticated space, bathroom marble design stands out as an exceptional choice. Marble is known for its timeless beauty, variety, and ability to elevate the overall aesthetic of any bathroom. In this section, we will explore some key elements and ideas related to bathroom marble design.
Choosing the Right Marble
One of the first steps in bathroom marble design is selecting the right type of marble. From classic white Carrara to striking black marquina, the options are abundant. Each type of marble comes with its unique veining and color variations, allowing you to match the marble to your personal style. Consider how different marbles will interact with your bathroom's lighting and the overall color scheme to create the desired atmosphere.
Incorporating Patterns
Another exciting aspect of bathroom marble design is the ability to incorporate patterns. Marble can be cut and laid out in various patterns like herringbone, checkerboard, or even geometric shapes. These designs can add depth and interest to your bathroom, making it feel more dynamic and stylish.
Combining with Other Materials
To enhance your bathroom marble design, consider combining marble with other materials. Pairing marble with warm woods, sleek metals, or even vibrant tiles can create an intriguing contrast and elevate the space further. This combination can help to soften the look of marble, making it feel more inviting and less formal.
Accent Features
Incorporating marble accent features like vanity tops, shower surrounds, or even marble sinks can transform a standard bathroom into a luxurious retreat. These elements become focal points in the design, drawing attention and admiration. For a truly unique touch, consider custom marble pieces that reflect your style.
Maintenance and Care
While the beauty of marble is undeniable, it's important to consider its maintenance. Proper care, including regular sealing and careful cleaning, will keep your bathroom marble design looking pristine. Avoid harsh chemicals that can damage the stone, and always use coasters or mats to prevent stains and scratches.
In summary, bathroom marble design offers a wealth of possibilities to create a stunning and elegant space. With the right choices and careful planning, you can achieve a bathroom that embodies luxury and style.

We heard from Sephiroth, but any unhinged things Genesis has said? (I love your posts ♥)
• "Would it be unethical to fake my own death just to see who cries the hardest?"
• "If Sephiroth can slice a malboro in half and be called a 'hero,' why am I labeled 'unstable' for suggesting we solve the printer jam with a crow bar and hubris?"
• "This banquet is a tragedy. Look at this bread roll, Angeal—look at it. It's dryer than Midgar's air after a week of smog."
• "The true tragedy of daily life is that I'm not allowed to offer my constructive criticism at my leisure without being written up for bullying. I am a man repressed, stifled by barbarism."
• "Today, I witnessed a man use mayonnaise as a pasta sauce. If that isn't proof that the apocalypse is imminent, I don't know what is."
• "Behold, my final fuck hath departed. Farewell, sweet courtesy, I barely knew thee."
• "Every great man has a tragic flaw. Mine is that I must suffer the indignity of people who think instant coffee is an acceptable beverage."

• *During a budget meeting* "They'll approve a new leather coat for Sephiroth without question, but my request for a solid gold flute is 'frivolous spending.' The poetry of injustice."
• "I have just discovered someone used my personal copy of Loveless as a drink coaster. Angeal, please explain to the court that what follows is not violence, but performance art."
• *During weapons maintenance* "This sword polish is subpar. How am I supposed to maintain my aesthetic when my reflection looks like it's been filtered through the fog of Sephiroth's childhood memories?"
• "This mission is pointless. We could solve all our problems if Shinra just gave me a flamethrower and five minutes of unsupervised freedom."
• "The Goddess weeps. Not for our sins, but because this apple has the texture of wet cardboard."
• *During a meeting, waiting for Lazard to show up* "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to honor the death of my patience. May it rest in peace."
• *watching Angeal have a mental breakdown over building a book shelf* "You cannot truly know a man until you've seen him assemble furniture. A test of patience, ingenuity, and his ability to read hieroglyphs masquerading as instructions."

Think Gossip Girl, where the Upper East Side girls never look anything less than perfectly polished, always with a cool, calm air of sophistication. But looking like an heiress isn't just about wearing designer labels—it's about cultivating an entire lifestyle that exudes elegance, confidence, and, yes, a bit of mystery.
If you’ve ever wanted to channel that "heiress" vibe—graceful, high-class, and yes, just a little bit untouchable—this post is for you. Whether you’re dreaming of your own Upper East Side moment or simply want to embody the refined, effortless style of your favorite heiresses, here’s your guide to creating a Gossip Girl-inspired look and aura that screams luxury, sophistication, and timeless elegance.
Step 1: Curate Your Wardrobe Like a True Heiress
The first step to achieving that heiress aesthetic? A wardrobe that reflects both opulence and sophistication. The key is to focus on timeless pieces that exude refinement, without being too “in-your-face” or flashy. Think understated luxury—clothing that speaks volumes without needing to shout.
Key Wardrobe Pieces:
Tailored Blazers and Coats: Channel Blair Waldorf with fitted, structured blazers and luxurious coats. Whether it's a classic trench coat or a long wool coat, make sure it’s perfectly tailored for that "moneyed" look.
Silk and Cashmere: Opt for silk blouses, cashmere sweaters, and other soft, high-quality fabrics. These textures feel luxurious and immediately elevate your style.
The Little Black Dress: A black dress that fits you like a glove will never fail you. Whether for a cocktail party or a lunch date, it's an essential piece that whispers sophistication.
Pencil Skirts and High-Waisted Pants: These styles emphasize an elegant silhouette, giving you that polished, chic appearance that an heiress is known for.
Statement Accessories: Think oversized sunglasses (think Blair Waldorf) and pearls or gold jewelry for a touch of luxury. A vintage Chanel bag or sleek leather tote will add that final polish.
Action Steps:
Invest in a few high-quality, timeless pieces that are versatile and can be worn season after season.
Keep your wardrobe neutral with pops of color like soft pastels, rich jewel tones, and occasional bold statements like red lips or a patterned scarf.

Step 2: Perfect Your Hair and Makeup: Polished, Not Overdone
An heiress never looks too done up, yet her look is always immaculate. Think glossy, sleek hair and makeup that enhances natural beauty, rather than masks it. It’s about subtlety and refinement.
Key Hair Looks:
Sleek, Polished Waves: Soft, defined waves that bounce with volume and shine. Think Blair Waldorf's iconic headband-and-hair combination—hair should always look well-maintained but not overly styled.
Perfectly Groomed Updos: For special occasions, a chic chignon or a low, soft bun creates a polished look. These hairstyles exude sophistication and show that you know how to command attention without trying too hard.
Natural Shine: Make sure your hair has a healthy shine, whether through regular trims, deep conditioning treatments, or products that add gloss.
Key Makeup Looks:
Flawless Complexion: A soft, glowing foundation and concealer for a fresh-faced, porcelain look. Think Blair's perfect, yet natural base.
Subtle, Soft Eyes: Opt for neutral tones on the eyes—think soft browns, taupes, or light golds for a natural, bright-eyed effect. A little eyeliner and voluminous mascara go a long way.
The Perfect Lip: A soft pink or a bold red lip is the classic heiress go-to. A bold lip like Blair's signature red can be a powerful statement without being overdone.
Action Steps:
Keep makeup simple but elegant—think less about trends, and more about classic beauty.
Always make sure your hair is well-groomed, whether it’s in a sleek ponytail or soft waves.

Step 3: Cultivate a Rich Social Life and an Air of Mystery
Looking like an heiress isn’t just about what you wear—it’s about how you carry yourself and the world you move through. Heiresses tend to have a sophisticated social calendar, attending exclusive events and cultivating an air of mystique. You don’t have to be a socialite to create this aura, but you can certainly curate your lifestyle to project elegance and charm.
Social Tips:
Attend High-End Events: Whether it’s a charity gala, a rooftop cocktail party, or a private art gallery opening, make it a point to attend upscale events that align with your image. It’s about being seen at the right places, looking effortless and always poised.
Keep Some Things Private: Heiresses are often mysterious—they don’t reveal every detail of their lives. Keep some of your personal world behind closed doors, and be selective about what you share. Cultivate an aura of exclusivity and intrigue.
Engage in Intellectual Conversations: Being an heiress isn’t just about fashion—it’s also about being well-rounded and cultured. Cultivate interests in the arts, literature, or current events. This will help elevate your social presence and make you someone worth knowing.
Action Steps:
Be selective about the events and people you engage with, always aiming for environments that reflect sophistication.
Maintain a bit of mystery about your personal life. Cultivate intrigue by keeping certain details private or only sharing them with a select few.

Step 4: Develop Confidence with Class
True heiresses—like Serena van der Woodsen or Blair Waldorf—radiate confidence, but it’s never brash or overly showy. They hold themselves with poise, charm, and grace. When you move through the world with confidence, elegance follows naturally.
Confidence Tips:
Master the Art of Conversation: Heiresses are poised and graceful in conversations. Always listen attentively, make eye contact, and speak with clarity and confidence. Avoid interrupting and focus on being an active participant in every conversation.
Carry Yourself with Grace: Stand tall, walk with purpose, and move through spaces as though you belong there. Confidence is not loud; it’s quiet, unshakable, and comfortable in one’s own skin.
Be Mindful of Your Etiquette: Know the rules of etiquette—whether it’s how to set a table, proper dining manners, or how to address different social settings. A woman who knows these unspoken rules always carries herself with grace.
Action Steps:
Stand tall and move with intention—confidence is key.
Be mindful of your body language and posture. Walk and sit with poise.
Step 5: Invest in Quality, Not Quantity
When you look at a true heiress, you’ll notice she has a wardrobe full of timeless, high-quality pieces—not a closet full of trendy items. It’s not about having a lot, but about having the right items that will last for years to come.
Investment Pieces:
Luxury Accessories: Think leather handbags, silk scarves, or a classic watch. These pieces are subtle status symbols and instantly elevate any outfit.
Quality Shoes: Opt for investment shoes in neutral tones—think pointed-toe pumps, classic flats, or heeled boots. They should be well-crafted and versatile enough to pair with any look.
Vintage Pieces: Vintage pieces from high-end brands add a unique, sophisticated flair to your wardrobe. Look for items that tell a story, whether it’s a vintage Chanel jacket or a classic diamond necklace.
Action Steps:
Focus on building a timeless, well-edited wardrobe with high-quality pieces.
Invest in items that hold their value and can be worn for years to come.
Step 6: Master the Art of Subtle Luxury
Finally, remember that luxury isn’t about showing off—it’s about feeling luxurious without shouting it from the rooftops. Heiresses know that the most exquisite things are often the most understated. Think luxurious but subtle: a well-cut suit, a glass of champagne, an evening of quiet reflection in an upscale restaurant.
Action Steps:
Focus on the details—an heirloom bracelet, a fine bottle of wine, a luxurious piece of furniture—all these little elements combine to create an overall feeling of richness and sophistication.
Cultivate an aura of effortless luxury. Whether it's through your surroundings, your mindset, or your wardrobe, everything should feel meticulously curated.
Conclusion: Live Like an Heiress, Own Your Elegance
Looking like an heiress isn’t about having billions in the bank. It’s about adopting a mindset, a lifestyle, and an aesthetic that exude sophistication, grace, and confidence. By curating your wardrobe, perfecting your grooming routine, attending the right events, and embodying timeless elegance, you’ll start to embody the chic heiress vibe that makes everyone turn their heads.
Remember, it’s all about confidence, quality over quantity, and moving through the world with the grace of someone who knows their worth.

yani's note ˖˙ ᰋ blonde lixie has been invading my mind recently, not that im complaining.. >< wrote this while listening to twice's new album ;3 changing my theme a bit (lot) heh. comments, likes and reblogs are always appreciated ! happy reading <3
the tiny, cozy cabin was nestled, in the quiet arms of the snowcapped hills, framed by a winter that seemed softer than usual, as though it too wanted to protect the pair inside. snow cascaded gently outside, flakes falling like whispered secrets onto the untouched slopes of the village. the windows of the wooden loft—frosted around the edges—offered glimpses of a world washed in silver, a serene contrast to the warmth pooling within.
the room held an intimate stillness, the kind that could only exist between two people who’d shared years of quiet moments together. the air was thick with the scent of pinewood, faint traces of cinnamon from earlier tea, and the earthy crackle of the fireplace that painted the walls with flickering amber light. shadows danced on the polished wooden floor, illuminating the textured grain of the pine boards, aged with stories of other winters.
she sat on the plush, woven rug—a deep brown flecked with hints of cream—atop her boyfriend's knees, her legs drawn up loosely to her chest. her skin glowed in the firelight, the straps of her thin top slipping off her shoulders with careless ease, revealing glimpses of lace along her collarbone and the soft curve of her waist. her shorts were loose, brushing against her thighs, and her toes peeked out, cold against the carpet despite the warmth of the room. a stray strand of her hair fell across her face, but she didn’t brush it away, too focused on her task.
he sat beneath her, leaning back against the base of the sofa, his legs sprawled open and his head slightly tilted. damp strands of his blonde hair clung to his temples, catching the firelight like spun gold. his skin, kissed by the faintest flush from the heat inside, bore fresh, angry scrapes and bruises—pale streaks on the otherwise perfect canvas of his arms, chest, and neck. he wore nothing but sweatpants slung low on his hips, the fabric pooling against his ankles as though it, too, had surrendered to the room’s languid warmth.
the small wooden coffee table near them held a folded linen towel and the remnants of a first-aid kit, its contents scattered with quiet precision. her hand moved slowly, a damp cotton swab tracing the length of a scrape along his collarbone. she was careful but firm, her brows knitted in an expression of muted frustration. he didn’t flinch, much. instead, his gaze was fixed on her—soft and unhurried, studying the way the light wrapped around her like a second skin. his lips, slightly swollen from a split, quirked into a faint, rueful smile when she muttered something under her breath.
the loft was small but cozy, a space that felt lived-in despite being rented. the walls were honey-colored, planks of smooth wood rising to meet an a-frame ceiling where beams crossed like an embrace. a single pendant light hung from above, casting a warm yellow glow that mingled with the flicker of the flames. in the corner, a sheepskin throw lay draped across a rocking chair, and a stack of books sat forgotten on a nearby shelf. the curtains were drawn back just enough to reveal the snowfall, which caught in the firelight and shimmered like stardust.
the heat from the fire clung to the room like a blanket, thick and almost too much, but neither of them moved to open the window. the snow outside seemed worlds away, and in this space—this bubble of warmth and quiet intimacy—they were untouchable. the only sounds were the occasional pop of the wood burning in the hearth and the faint hiss of the snow meeting the glass. silence wove itself between them, heavy and meaningful, as if even words would have felt too loud.
felix sat still as best as he could, leaning against the sofa, but every so often, a slight flinch betrayed him when her cotton swab pressed a little too firmly against one of his cuts.
“don’t move,” she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper, tinged with an unspoken frustration that wasn’t entirely anger. her eyes stayed fixed on his chest, focused on cleaning the shallow scrape that ran across his collarbone. she didn’t look up, not even when she felt his gaze on her, warm and unrelenting, as if he could memorize her like this forever.
“sorry,” he whispered, his deep voice so soft it barely reached her ears. there was no playfulness, no cheeky grin. just quiet, earnest apologies that made her heart ache and fold all at once. he winced again, but this time, he quickly bit his lip to stifle any noise.
“felix,” she mumbled, finally meeting his eyes for a moment, her tone firm yet so tender it didn’t carry the weight of real anger. “stop moving.”
he nodded solemnly, his golden hair falling into his freckled face. “i won’t, baby. i promise. sorry.” his lips, slightly swollen from the fall, tugged into a small, apologetic smile, but her gaze had already returned to the task at hand.
she worked with the steady precision of someone who cared too much. her hands moved gently, dabbing at the shallow cut on his lip now, careful not to press too hard. she didn’t say much, but the set of her brows and the soft pout on her lips spoke volumes. she was upset—not angry, not exactly—but worried in the way only someone who loved too deeply could be.
he couldn’t help himself. even as she tended to his wounds, felix’s eyes stayed glued to her. the firelight painted her features in warm hues, and her hair, slightly messy from the day, framed her face in a way that made her look impossibly soft. she was close—so close he could feel her warmth, smell the faint trace of her vanilla lotion mixed with the subtle smokiness of the room. his chest tightened with the weight of his own admiration.
“y/n,” he whispered again, his voice like velvet, coaxing her attention. she didn’t look up. he shifted slightly, just enough to bring his hand to her leg, resting it lightly on her knee, his thumb brushing in soft, absentminded strokes. “love.. i really am sorry.”
her hand paused for the briefest second, but she didn’t reply. instead, she moved to his neck, carefully tilting his chin up with her fingers to get a better angle. the cut there wasn’t deep, but it stood out against his fair skin, and she felt a fresh pang of guilt seeing it. she bit the inside of her cheek, trying to keep her resolve.
his eyes never left her. the soft firelight caught the sparkles in his gaze, turning his brown eyes into molten amber. his freckles, scattered like constellations across his cheeks and nose, seemed to glow, and the gentle curve of his lips—heart-shaped and still pink despite the small cut—made her heart squeeze.
“babe?” he tried again, his voice a little deeper now, but still so tender it felt like a caress.
her eyes flickered up briefly, meeting his gaze, and for a moment, the annoyance she was clinging to wavered. his expression was pure, almost boyish, with the kind of fragility that made her want to gather him up and never let go. she let out a soft sigh, returning her attention to his wounds without a word.
“don’t be mad,” he pleaded, his voice a little playful now, though he didn’t dare move again. “you’re too pretty to be mad at me.”
“felix,” she muttered under her breath, her tone warning but without any real edge. “don’t speak.”
“sorry, sorry,” he said quickly, but the corners of his mouth lifted into a small, almost mischievous smile. “i just missed you, baby. you know that, right?”
she didn’t reply, but her hands slowed slightly as she wiped away the last of the blood from his arm. he took that as his cue, letting his hand slip from her knee to her waist, resting there gently. his touch was warm, grounding, and she let out another small sigh, finally sitting back a little on his lap.
“i’m fine, you know,” he murmured, his other hand coming up to cup her face, brushing his thumb along her cheekbone. “really. you don’t have to worry so much.”
her eyes flickered to his, and this time, she didn’t look away. “you’re not fine, felix. you could’ve really hurt yourself.” her voice was softer now, the frustration melting into something more vulnerable.
“i’m okay,” he insisted, leaning forward slightly so their foreheads almost touched. “and i’m here. with you. that’s all that matters.”
her lips parted as if to argue, but the way he was looking at her—with so much affection it felt like the room had shrunk to just the two of them—made her words falter. she hated how easily he could do this to her, how his angelic smile and soft voice could unravel her in seconds.
oh, one can never really stay mad at this angel.
“don’t do it again,” she whispered finally, her voice barely audible, but he caught it.
“i won’t,” he promised, sealing it with a soft, lingering kiss to her forehead. “i swear, baby.”
and just like that, her resolve broke. she leaned into him, letting her head rest against his shoulder as his arms came up to wrap around her, holding her close. the snow continued to fall outside, but inside, the world had never felt warmer.
his arms tightened around her as she leaned into him, her weight settling lightly against his chest. he pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head, his lips lingering there as if he could apologize a hundred times through touch alone.
for a while, the only sound was the crackle of the fire and the faint whistle of the wind outside. then felix broke the silence with a quiet chuckle.
“you know,” he murmured, tilting his head so he could see her face better. “i think the skateboard might have it out for me. you think i should sue?”
she let out an involuntary snort, quickly stifling it by burying her face against his shoulder. “your fault for thinking you’re tony hawk in the middle of a snow-covered town.”
“hey, i was trying to impress you,” he defended, his deep voice dipping into a mock whine. “how was i supposed to know the ground would be slippery?”
“it’s snow,” she deadpanned, pulling back just enough to give him a pointed look. “what did you think it would be? a trampoline?”
felix blinked at her, then broke into a sheepish grin, his freckles scrunching adorably. “okay, fair point. but you looked really curious watching me from the window, so…”
she rolled her eyes, but her lips twitched in spite of herself. “you’re lucky i love you, otherwise, i’d let you bleed out next time.”
he gasped, clutching his chest dramatically. “so cold, babe! i thought you were the sweet one in this relationship.”
“sweet?” she echoed, arching a brow as she reached for the first-aid kit again. “i’m literally the one patching you up after your dumb stunts.”
“because you love me,” he teased, his voice dropping into a sing-song tone.
she shook her head, biting back a smile as she gently applied a fresh bandage to his collarbone. “don’t push your luck, lixie.”
“too late,” he quipped, leaning forward to nuzzle his nose against her cheek. his hair, still damp from his earlier shower, tickled her skin, and she swatted at him half-heartedly.
“lix!” she protested, laughing now despite herself.
he grinned wide, his heart-shaped lips pulling into the kind of smile that could melt even the iciest resolve. “there she is. my y/n. knew i could get you to smile.”
“barely,” she muttered, but her cheeks betrayed her with a soft blush.
he chuckled, pulling her closer and pressing a kiss to her temple. “you’re terrible at staying mad at me, love. it’s one of your best traits.”
she scoffed, but her head found its way back to his shoulder, her fingers playing absentmindedly with the hem of his sweatpants. “next time you try to impress me, just.. don’t involve gravity.”
“deal,” he said easily, his hand rubbing slow circles on her back. “but for the record, i still think i looked cool for, like, two seconds before i fell.”
“sure,” she replied, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “you were the picture of elegance.”
“see? you do get it,” he said, laughing as she groaned and playfully shoved at his chest.
“i love you.”
“i love you so much more, darling.”
and just like that, the tension dissolved into kisses, laughter and warmth, the kind that only they could share. outside, the snow kept falling, but inside the house cabin, all was right in their little world again

✨ Help Me Femme Up My Apartment, But Keep It Chill ✨ please 🙈
Hey Tumblr Sissy’s Mommy’s and Daddy’s, This Indecisive bitch NEEDS YOUR HELP! 🏠💖
Here’s the tea: I’ve been living in my apartment for a while now, and it’s giving *boring* Like, plain, blah, nothing special vibes I’m SO ready for a makeover, but here’s the thing, I want to make it feel feminine and cozy but I can’t go full girly girl Think soft, chic, and understated, not *cotton candy explosion* 🙈🙈🙈
💞 Here’s the vibe I’m thinking (not strictly) 💞
🌸 Feminine, but subtle: Soft touches of blush, cream, sage, or mauve, nothing too frilly or over the top
🌸 Chic + cozy: A space that’s warm, inviting, and comfy, but still polished enough to feel like an adult apartment
🌸 Practical magic: I have guests sometimes, so I need cute things that are functional or easy to tuck away if needed
💡 Help me brainstorm!💡
I’d LOVE your ideas for decor, furniture, or little touches that can help me find that perfect balance. Here’s some inspo ✨🌈✨
✨ Throw pillows, blankets, and rugs:
I’m obsessed with soft, luxe textures maybe velvet, knit, or faux fur in muted tones. Something that screams “curl up here” but doesn’t overpower the space
✨ Functional storage, but make it cute:
Decorative baskets, storage ottomans, or sleek shelves with brass or gold details. Pretty *and* practical
✨ Art and wall decor:
Minimalist prints, abstract art, or line drawings. I’m thinking feminine energy without being super girly, like soft botanicals or muted tones
✨ Soft, glowy lighting:
Fairy lights, warm table lamps, or maybe even a statement light fixture with gold or soft finishes Lighting makes ALL the difference, right?
✨ Plants and accessories:
A mix of leafy greens and cute planters nothing wild, just simple and fresh. Maybe neutral pots or ones with subtle pastel details.
✨ Unique touches:
A chic accent chair, a vanity corner, or little things like trinket dishes, candles, or cozy books to make it feel personal
But here’s the thing: If you want to recommend super girly pieces, *please do*! I’d love to know what you’d suggest if I went all out. Whether it’s frilly curtains, a pink velvet sofa, or even a sparkly chandelier, I’m open to hearing it all. You never know 🤭 I might just fall in love with it and buy it anyway! 🙈🙈🙈
🌷 So leave your ideas in the notes and vote on ones you like✨ also Tag your Pinterest girlies, decor baddies, and anyone who knows how to balance pretty + practical! 🌷
I’ll post updates as the transformation happens, so pleas help me Let’s make this boring boy space into a cozy, feminine dream! 💕
Love you all!! 💖💖💖

Sharing Valentine's Day with NRC
SCARABIA VER.
HEARSTLABYUL VER SAVANACLAW VER OCTAVINELLE VER POMEFIORE VER IGNIHYDE VER DIASOMNIA VER
SCENARIO: The morning sun shone down on Night Raven College as students prepared for Valentine’s Day. Classes had ended earlier than usual, and the hallways were filled with rumors of chocolates, a few confessions, and secret dates. Despite the general excitement for that day of remembering and sharing, you hadn’t planned anything special for that day. Or at least, that’s what you thought.
But he had been acting oddly suspicious since the night before. You’d noticed his furtive glances and failed attempts at hiding smiles whenever you came near. You knew he was up to something.
With Jamil Viper and Kalim Al-Asim
Jamil Viper
It was Valentine's Day at Night Raven College, and the atmosphere was filled with laughter and music. Inside Scarabia, however, the air was calmer, almost solemn. The heat of the day and Kalim's party had subsided, and now only the soft lights of the paper lanterns hanging in the Entrance remained. You had received an invitation from Jamil that afternoon, short and mysterious:
"Come to the entrance tonight."
It was rare for Jamil, always reserved, to take the initiative on a day like this. The intrigue was enough to convince you to attend.
The whole Scarabia was adorned with soft lights and red and gold flowers. Jamil was there, waiting for you sitting on a cuison. His relaxed posture contrasted with the thorough attention he had clearly put into the preparations. He wore his uniform impeccably, but had added a dark red sash that highlighted his dark eyes.
"Thank you for coming" he said with a barely perceptible smile.
You stepped closer, noticing the warm glow of the lights reflecting in his eyes.
“What’s this all about, Jamil? You’re not usually this… festive.”
“Valentine’s Day is usually loud and over the top. But I wanted to offer you something different. Something just for us.”
His words made your heart race.
Jamil extended a hand towards you.
“Will you dance with me?”
The music began to play softly, a traditional Scalding Sand's tune you’d never heard before. He took your hand with a calm assurance, leading you through the steps with elegance and precision. Despite his reserved nature, Jamil’s every move was filled with intention and grace.
“I’ve always kept to the shadows,” he said as he led you in a spin. “But with you, I find myself longing for something more.”
The words took your breath away. It was rare for Jamil to open up like this.
“You don’t have to stay in Kalim's shadow anymore...,” you replied softly. “Not with me.”
Jamil paused for a moment, his eyes locked on yours. There was something raw and vulnerable in his gaze, an internal struggle you had always suspected but had never admitted.
After the dance, Jamil pulled out a small wooden box decorated with intricate gold patterns.
“This is for you.”
Inside was a bracelet of red and black agate beads, each bead polished to perfection.
“It’s a tradition in my family to give something handmade to those we care about. I wanted to make it myself.”
You took the bracelet, feeling the soft texture of the beads between your fingers.
“It’s beautiful, Jamil. Thank you.”
The silence that followed was filled with unspoken emotions. Finally, Jamil broke the tension with a more open smile than usual.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Prefect."
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Jamil.”
Kalim Al-Asim
Valentine’s Day had arrived with full force at Night Raven College, but no one had celebrated it with as much enthusiasm as Kalim Al-Asim. Since dawn, Scarabia had been decorated with gold and red lights, with piles of flowers and garlands everywhere. The garden fountain was filled with rose petals floating in the water, and soft music filled the air.
You knew Kalim was planning something special, but he hadn’t revealed any details to you. Still, the invitation to meet him at dusk had arrived with a scented card, signed in his signature cheerful handwriting.
When you arrived at Scarabia’s entrance, Kalim was already there, waiting with a bright smile. He wore a white and gold robe, with jewels that reflected the light from the lanterns hanging all around the garden.
“You’re here!” he exclaimed, running towards you. “I’m so happy you came!”
“Kalim, this is amazing,” you said, admiring the festive atmosphere around you.
“I wanted this night to be unforgettable! Come on, I have something to show you!”
He took you by the hand and led you, where a silk blanket was spread out on the ground, surrounded by soft cushions and a low table with sweets and drinks.
“I thought we could watch the stars together. It’s the best way to spend Valentine’s Day, don’t you think?”
You sat next to him, enjoying the cool night air and the soft sound of the waves from the nearby oasis. Kalim watched you with a serene expression, different from his usual energy.
“You know, I’ve never celebrated Valentine’s Day like this before,” he said, playing with a beaded bracelet on his wrist. “I’ve always been surrounded by people, but with you… everything is different.”
You turned to him, surprised by the sincerity in his voice.
“Different how?”
“Different because with you I feel free. It doesn’t matter if there’s a party or it’s just the two of us, I’m always happy when I’m with you."
Heat rose to your cheeks. Kalim was known for his disarming honesty, but these words had touched you deeply.
Kalim pulled out a small wooden box adorned with mother-of-pearl inlays.
“This is for you.”
Inside was a gold pendant in the shape of a sun, with a small red stone in the center.
“In my country, the Scalding Sands, the sun symbolizes happiness and good luck. I want you to have this so you’ll always remember that I wish you all the happiness in the world.”
You were speechless as Kalim helped you put it on. The stone shimmered softly under the starlight.
“It fits you perfectly!” he said, his smile lighting up the night.
“Thank you, Kalim. This means a lot to me.”
He leaned towards you, his eyes soft and full of affection.

The Song of Sand and Dreams
“Who are you?” she asked, her voice a gentle ripple against the endless hush of waves. Her gaze was fixed on the man before her, his eyes like moons suspended in a velvet sky, his skin dappled with constellations that shimmered faintly in the light of the rising dawn.
“You mortals have called me by many names,” he murmured. He turned toward the horizon, where gold and rose melted together in the birth of a new day. “Dream Keeper. Morfeo. Drøm. حالم. The Oneironaut. Sandman. But in this form, I prefer Ominis.”
“Are you God?” she asked softly, her fingers plunging into the fine ivory sand. It spilled through her hands like the seconds of a fleeting memory.
“I am among them,” he replied, his pale gaze tracing the path of the grains as they fell. Slowly, he extended his hand, catching the cascading sand in his palm.
When his hand was full, he cupped it gently, cradling the grains like a secret too precious to share. Then, with a whisper of breath, he exhaled into the hollow of his hands. As his fingers unfurled, the grains transformed. Golden butterflies burst forth, their wings catching the dawn's light and scattering it in a thousand shimmering rays. They fluttered upward, fragile and luminous, each one a fragment of magic.
“Will I see you again?” she asked as she extended her hand. One butterfly settled on her palm, its gossamer wings brushing against her skin, delicate as a breath. It lingered, its touch the softest kiss.
“Perhaps,” he said, lips curving into a faint smile. “When your head rests upon your pillow, when your eyes surrender to the night… I will be there, watching over you.”
That was enough.
She smiled, radiant as the sun’s first rays. The dawn kissed her skin, turning her eyes into liquid honey and her bronze skin richer and full of life. The light danced across her features, painting her with the warmth of a summer’s day. With her eyes closed, she lifted her face to the sun.
She was stunning.
Ominis reached out, fingers aching to brush back a strand of her umber curls, to feel its silken texture between his fingers. But as his hand moved closer, it passed through her like a shadow.
She was awake.
The girl vanished, dissolving into the sunlight. Ominis sat motionless as the dream unraveled, the beach fading into nothingness, the melody of the waves replaced by the quiet hum of the ancient throne room. Ominis was alone again, surrounded by hundreds of softly glowing orbs suspended in the still air. Each one the dream of a mortal.
Golden butterflies still fluttered around, delicate remnants of the dream that had just been. Their light mingled with the orbs, casting faint, shimmering reflections onto the polished obsidian floor.
Dreams. Ominis had guarded them for eons. Ominis had shaped the hopes and longings of mortals, crafting the delicate tapestry of their hearts’ desires as they slept. It was their purpose, their eternal role, and Ominis had never questioned it.
Until now.
Something stirred deep within Ominis, something ancient and unfamiliar. A flicker of yearning, of hope.
A dream of their own.
A dream to see the sun-kissed girl again.

Chapter Four
Series Masterlist
Cw: None

The day he had started to dread was upon him, the day he and his family would visit the Court of Nightmares, he had no idea what he was to expect in Hewn City, the home to the horrible folks who loved being there.
Nyx sat up in his bed, removing his covers and looking out to the darkness of the Night Court, his room in the Riverhouse was gigantic, beautiful and every inch of it held a homey warmth. It was a massive expanse filled with rich hues of purple and blue, glittery shimmer on the room's roof, mimicking the night sky outside, painted by her mother when he was just a babe, preserved in his ceiling forever.
He slipped off from his bed, a large window overlooks the city below, casting a soft glow of moonlight onto the plush carpet beneath his feet, he groaned as he stretched his wings behind his back, letting them flex, he curled his wings around himself to shield the expansion of his chest from the cold air in his room.
His bedroom had its walls adorned with paintings depicting different landscapes and mythical creatures from various cultures. There was also a grand canopy bed draped in luxurious silk sheets that matched perfectly with the room, royal blues and purples with silver accents. On one side stood a full-length mirror framed elegantly in gold leaf while opposite to this stood another door leading further into the house.
In front of the window was a sitting area furnished comfortably with couches covered in velvet fabric and scattered throw pillows embroidered intricately in black threadwork patterns reminiscent of stars against night skies. Atop an ornate mahogany table sat several books about astronomy and mythology and sketches depicting various celestial bodies and creatures from folklore.
Nyx gazed out at the shadowed expanse of the Night Court beyond his window as he walked into the balcony, faerie lights lighting up The Rainbow and the streets leading to it, the Sidra rippling gently under the moonlight filtering through the beautiful city. He felt a shiver run down his spine as he contemplated the unsettling encounter that awaited him and his family later that morning. He had heard nothing but the worst of Kier and the people like him who resided there.
As Nyx stepped out onto the balcony, the cool night air enveloped him, carrying with it the faint scent of blooming jasmine and the distant aroma of the Sidra river. The faerie lights lining the streets cast an ethereal glow over the city, making it seem almost magical despite the ominous tales surrounding the Night Court. The gentle lapping of the water against the riverbank created a soothing melody that contrasted sharply with the unease churning in Nyx's stomach.
His skin glowed with a natural luminescence, highlighting the intricate tattoos that snaked across his shoulders and arms, telling tales quite similar to what his father and uncles had experienced. Each line and curve of the markings added depth to his already imposing physique.
His wings, folded neatly against his back, shimmered subtly under the faerie lights illuminating the balcony. They were large and powerful, the leathery texture of them not hard to see with how polished they were.
As he pondered the unknown terrors of Hewn City, Nyx's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of his mother's soft voice calling up from downstairs, making him lean over the balcony to see her. "Nyx, dear! We have a big day ahead of us, come have something to eat."
"Coming, Ma!" With a heavy sigh, Nyx reluctantly pulled himself away from watching the sun rise in the Night Court over the Illyrian mountains and threw on a shirt.
Diving from the balcony, wings spread completely to land headfirst in the dining room. "Mornin'."
"Cauldron, Nyx!" Mor yelped as Nyx appeared in front of his aunt, his uncle Azriel's shadows hiding him well, the male in question was watching in amusement, taking a finger-full from a bowl of melted chocolate she would be adding to some pastries. "Get back here you horrible child!"
"But I'm such an innocent babe," Nyx pouted and made a run for it around the room as he licked his fingers clean, his mother and father laughing at Mor throwing her apron at his face then glaring at the couple, while Cassian carried Nesta bridal style to another of the little chaoses Nyx had been causing since before he was born.
After breakfast, the sun had risen up, and Nyx stood outside his giant wardrobe, thinking about what to wear, he certainly didn't want to be too comfortable.
Nyx opened the massive wardrobe doors, revealing rows upon rows of clothing tailored specifically for his physique. Leathers of armour designed to accommodate his wings, tunics suited for nothing less than the Heir of Night, and trousers reinforced with magic to withstand the flexibility he needed to move and fight.
He scanned the options, and finally, after much deliberation, he settled on a set of dark grey leather breeches that hugged his muscular legs tightly. Over this, he donned a snug vest of Illyrian leathers that did little to hide the toned muscles of his chest and abdomen through the fabric.
A belt adorned with an intricate pattern encircled his waist, holding up both his trousers and a pair of knee-high boots crafted from supple black leather, on the leathers of the back of his hands sat two twin black Siphons. They were symbols of his lineage and his heritage, the power of distruction.
He heard a knock on his door and made his way to open it, seeing his father outside, "Da?"
"No." Rhysand said instantly seeing Nyx's attire, the Illyrian leathers, the Siphon, "You're not wearing that."
Nyx crossed his arms over his chest defensively. "It’s appropriate for the place, is it not?"
"I know that look," Rhysand muttered under his breath, stepping past his son and into the room. His gaze swept over Nyx's outfit critically before landing on the siphons etched into the leather at the back of his hand. Rhysand sighed heavily, running a hand through his onxy hair. "But you're my heir, not my warrior."
"You’re going to be meeting some very important people today, Nyx. You need to make a good impression," He explained patiently.
Rhysand went through Nyx's clothes and pulled out a fitted black tunic with intricate silver embroidery at the collar and hem. The ensemble struck a balance between practicality and elegance, suitable for the formal yet unpredictable nature of the occasion ahead.
Nyx watched his father's actions silently, though inwardly he was bristling at being treated like a child. Still, he knew better than to argue further, especially when it came to matters of etiquette and presentation. He let out a sigh of resignation as he allowed his father to give him a change to a more appropriate attire.
He selected a pair of knee-high black leather boots with silver buckles and fastened them securely to his legs. He then donned a wide belt adorned with a silver buckle in the shape of a crescent moon.
The fitted black tunic felt strange against his skin at first, the silver embroidery at the collar and hem added an elegant touch without detracting from the overall simplicity of the outfit. His wings melting into himself, not suited for the tunic he wore before slipping his feet into the knee-high boots with silver buckles.
Rhysand watched his son, dressed in clothes appropriate for an Heir, and gave him a smile, "Now you look like the Heir, remember, the people in the Court of Nightmares will be expecting you, you can not show them any weakness."
Nyx nodded, with a deep breath, his features sharpened, his eyes void of emotion as Rhysand motioned to his door, just as cold, "Come now, your mother is waiting."
The moment Nyx stepped foot into the Court of Nightmares, he was immediately struck by the biting cold that seeped into his bones. It was as if the very essence of the realm itself was designed to chill one to the marrow. The air was heavy with an eerie silence, broken only by the occasional creak of ancient stone beneath their feet as they navigated the twisting corridors.
Glowing orbs of an unearthly blue hue, suspended mid-air by magic, provided the only illumination, casting an otherworldly pallor across the scene. The walls, constructed from a labyrinthine network of obsidian and jet-black marble, seemed to absorb what little light managed to penetrate, leaving everything shrouded in an impenetrable darkness that pressed in from all sides.
As Nyx followed his family deeper into the Court of Nightmares, they approached the imposing gates that marked the entrance to the castle. Carved from a single block of black stone, the massive doors depicted a scene of primordial chaos, great, scaled beasts coiled together in a nest of claws and fangs, locked in a perpetual cycle of combat. The creatures appeared to be devouring each other even as they slept, their forms blurring together in a macabre dance of death.
Yet, amidst this tableau of darkness and destruction, there was an unexpected beauty. Vines of jasmine and moonflowers wound their way through the coils of the beasts, their delicate petals glowing softly in the dim light.
His aunt Morrigan entered first, the throne room falling silent, his uncles and aunt Nesta, all of them had a coldness that he could feel in his bones, he'd be with his parents, with a deep breath he walked by his father's side, both of his parents had a crown made of starts on their heads, his father's features were distant, like he was a different person, like his mother was too.
Nyx's heart pounded in his chest as he followed his parents into the grand throne room. His gaze darted around, taking in every detail of the courtiers gathered there. Despite the palpable tension hanging in the air, he noticed a certain kind of reverence in their demeanour towards his parents, a respect born out of fear.
Morrigan, clad in a gown of deepest red, strode in first, her presence commanding the immediate attention of everyone present. Her eyes met Nyx's briefly, and he felt a chill run down his spine. All of them had a regal bearing about them, exuding an aura of authority that was almost tangible.
Nyx zoned out as his parents sat on their throne and he stood beside them, the people of the Hewn City kneeling to them, his eyes landed on a young female among the crown, porcelain skin that seemed almost translucent in its paleness, too pale to be healthy, with black hair down her back, the dress she wore was the same raven black as her hair, the dress was nothing fancy, at least not compared to the silver he wore, but he couldn't help keep his eyes off her.
As the kneeling courtiers rose, there was something hauntingly captivating about her, something that drew Nyx in despite himself. Her eyes met his, and he felt a jolt of recognition. It was as if he knew her somehow, despite never having laid eyes on her before. A curious sensation stirred within him, a feeling he couldn't quite place. But amid the sea of faces, hers was the only one that held his interest.
As his father ordered them to relax and mingle, he turned to his parents, mostly his mother, "May I go too?" He asked, his uncaring look not wavering.
His mother gave him a soft smile, "Of course you may, Nyx," she nodded, people were drinking, dancing, talking, and his uncle Azriel had disappeared into the room, Cassian and Nesta dancing to themselves, Mor talking with Kier with a look of boredom clear on her face as they walked to his parents with another male beside them.
He knocked into someone far smaller than him while he was distracted by the males around his parents and aunt, his hands shot out instinctively, "Oh, apologies, I didn't know where I was..." His gaze met the dark blackhole-like eyes of the female he had been looking at, her hand gripping onto his, slightly tilted from tripping half way. "Hello." He smiled.
"Hi..." The female watched his face, probably gauging his reaction Nyx thought.
"I'm Nyx," He offered a smile hoping it would make him come off as friendly.
"I know who you are, my lord," The female put some distance between them, giving him a little courtesy.
Nyx's eyes went as she saw her bow for him, "Oh, none of that please," He couldn't hide his cringe and looked away. "You don't need to do... That."
"It's just a smile courtesy," She laughed and he was sure he had heard it before somewhere, "I'm no fool to not show respect to the Heir of Night."
"Well, then, would you like a dance?" Nyx asked, turning to face her. "Just to one song." He offered her his hand and gave her a cheeky grin, "To respect me, of course."
The female paused to think for a moment, and then her eyeliner went by him, probably to the diaz where a conversation Nyx couldn't find in himself to care about was going.
"Of course," She rested her hand on his, the corner of her lip tilted up just slightly and Nyx counted that as a smile.
