“You’re a son of Poseidon- And you can’t swim??”

Percy watched Nico approach the water’s edge cautiously, looking as if he would be burned if he tried moving any further. They had just finished sword training. Now, the lake was reflecting the colorful sunset and dark trees.

Nico huffed, turning his gaze away from Percy and towards the rippling water a few steps away. “I used to be afraid of drowning before finding out. I had friends die because of the floods in Venice.”

“I’m sorry-“

He was cut off, “Don’t be. You didn’t know.”

There was an awkward silence between the two after he said that, and Percy didn’t want to cause any more pain for one of his closest friends. Despite what Nico told him, he didn’t feel his heart hold pity for him. In actuality, he couldn’t help but see Nico as strong.

“Well, I know how to swim. Want to learn?”

Nico shook his head. “He didn’t save their lives, I don’t trust him with mine.”

It made a lot of sense, now that Percy was thinking about it deeper. “Do you trust me?” Percy asked hesitantly.

“With my life?” The response was given sarcastically, but then Nico’s expression slowly softened. He sighed and turned his head away, “Always.”

Percy grinned, taking his shirt off and kicking his shoes off. Nico took off his shoes carefully, but left everything else on. He crossed his arms, watching Percy step into the water. “Is this safe for you? You’re a son of Hades.”

“We’re not on the brink of any wars, things are pretty peaceful. I’ll be fine.” Giving him a reassuring smile, Percy continued further into the water. Once it was up to his waist, he offered Nico a hand.

Pale fingers first brushed against his palm before slipping forward to grip the hand, taking steps forward. The water receded around him, like it was as scared of him as he was of it. Percy sighed when Nico reached him and cold air hit his legs. “Nico, you have to let it go.”

Nico tilted his head, “Do I though?”

“To learn to swim? Yeah, you have to.”

After some hesitance, the water suddenly rushed back into the empty circle Nico created. He was almost knocked off his feet, but he was able to keep his balance as Nico’s hand surged from his to hold onto his arm instead.

He then led Nico further into the water, till it was up to their necks. Nico was holding onto him fully now, and Percy could feel him shaking. There was also the way he was breathing, like he was running a mile. “We know you can’t drown, if that’s any reassurance.”

Nico shook his head in a panicked fashion, “Doesn’t matter. This is still cold and...”

“Scary? I’m sure it is. You’re kicking your legs though…” Percy smiled affectionately as he gazed downwards, “Are you mimicking me?”

“Is that bad?”

“No, no it’s perfect. You’re a fast learner.” Nico looked embarrassed after that, and Percy swore he could see him blush. It took some time, but slowly Nico let him go. He started to sink a little before moving his arms as Percy was. “There you go! I knew you could do it.”

Cobigail, Goddess of life and darkness

Out of all the gods, Cobigail is the one that's been here the longest. Her roots go down deep, deep into the core of the earth. Even if you believed you could see the bottom, you could never go deep enough to find where they stop. Some believe her roots hold the world together, keep it as steady and stable as it is.

She's a singer at heart, a storyteller. She's happy to tell if you're willing to listen, but you should be prepared for them to be almost as tall as she is. She's been around a very long time, and her memory isn't the most reliable, so she has to strain quite a bit to remember most of the details...

It's said that if you listen closely to the wind at night, you can hear Cobigail's voice, singing of folk tales and legends sent to the wayside long before your time.

Au where leo, piper , haze and frank get their godly parents and roles swapped

Piper being the child of pluto born from a broken pact and recently sent to camp jupiter by her father who was trying to protect her from something, she have to learn how to control her power and not hurt her friends while also tries to save her dad and thanatos who both got captured and inprisioned

Leo being the child of mars who lost his mother by gaia when her monsters found their home, esperanza fought the Monsters with a gun mad of celestial bronze to give him enough time to escape.

After running away from another foster home(some months before the events of SON) leo is found by reyna while looking for jason and is brought up to camp jupiter by her

Hazel being a child of aphrodite who was saved by nico from the underwolrd while he was looking for bianca but instead of being brought to camp halfblood hera steal her from nico before he can even notice, and give her fake memories after sending her to wildnerness school

And now she have to figure out her memories while tries to control her charmspeak

Frank the child of hephaestus who ironicaly born with both fire and shapeshifting powers and to balance that hera gave him the piece of wood tied to his life which made him terrified of his own powers his entire life

Even worse because his mother died into a fire some years ago trying to saving him and his wood so he is terrified of using it

His grandma sent him to wildnerness knowing that hedge was going there(hephaestus told her) and here she meets Hazel and falls in love with her

Their backstory still a little bit incomplete but i thought it would be a cool idea

And also jason and percy still the same which meas tha the trios are now

I picture son of Poseidon Nico as still having a pretty weak constitution and getting tired and exhausted from his powers pretty easily when he starts overdoing it

But specifically, Nico with the Poseidon bloodline, I picture him just like dissolving, becoming many many droplets of sea water.

He would usually hit his limit and dissolve when he's already on water, so others would just have to wait it out a little bit, while Nico's pulling himself back together.

At first they don't even realize he's straight up dissolving, and figure out that he's just going underwater to swim around a bit, and recuperate his strength before coming back up.

But one time, Nico hits his limit while fighting on earth, and somebody like Percy just has to dive right in, and catch the droplets on a bucket or something, because nobody knows what would happen if they didn't, and they sure as hell don't wanna be finding out in the middle of a Quest.

This process Nico goes through also makes him feel more isolated, as other people, sometimes point out that it's a lot like what monsters go through once they are killed, and then reformed

Fortunately, anybody who says anything like that in the earshot of any of Nico's friends, is immediately getting sent to the Aether

“Good at what?” Nico asks, though he looks hesitant to continue the conversation.

for this scene in particular! siffrin says crab a lot in the forgotten language, replacing stars as their go to expression.

isabeau notices this, a la isaquest, and thinks siffrin might like crabs.

this goes in the opposite direction of canon isaquest, since siffrin has vague feelings of hatred for the poor crustacean isa brings him.

as a result: dropkick that crab.

(isa is impressed. they still have that conversation afterwards lol, the rest of isaquest stays the same)

Alabaster being exiled not because he's the strongest child of Hecate (since he's Aphrodite's son here) but so he won't have the opportunity to charmspeak people on his side. (Gotta fit that 'corrupting influence' thing the Olympians assigned him somewhere)

Godswap AU Ethan Nakamura is the son of Hades and Percy Jackson is the son of Demeter.

Witching hour headcannons

Ethan, who has been at camp for two summers about to join Luke's side, is now faced with a new kid who 1. Grieving the loss of his mom and 2. Ends up saddled with because Luke doesn't want to deal with him.

Percy, who is still blamed for the missing items. Not because of sibling rivalry, but because 1. Hades thinks Demeter is mad about Persephone again, 2. Zeus thinks Demeter is mad about him for Persephone and 3. Hades and Zeus think the other put Demeter up to it because of Persephone. So now Demeter kids are being faced with back lash, but all of them had been questioned.

Ethan has a power set that is a lot more shadow and ghost based. He can't summon skeletons, but he can reanimate or puppet existing ones.

Percy's power set is very ground and plant based. He's not so great at growing small amounts of plants as he is making them just go insane. Think big vines used to keep monsters in place or like root systems being used to make holes appear in the dirt. He will kill a plant if he's taking care of a singular one but give him a field and its plentiful harvest.

The prophecy still applies to Percy! In the modern public use of the word 'gods', it can mean all deities within a religion. Also the parallelism of Kronos being a Titan with significant connection to agriculture and land, and him having to face a child of Demeter.

Percy, who gets claimed during capture the flag and gets to have older siblings!

Percy gets sent on a quest and chooses his best friend and the one guy who might make a trip to the underworld easier.

Grover still gets the shoes because Percy is an earth person he doesn't want to fly even if he won't get shot from the sky.

Ethan and Percy are working together a bit quicker because Percy had already proved before he claimed that he didn't care about the godly parent thing.

Percy is showing up in the underworld and wondering if he can control plants made for the underworld.

Throne Room scene where he shows respect to his godly mother first, and this makes Zeus even more offended than before but pleases Demeter.

Percy and Ethan are having a soft, slow burn romance that takes the same amount of time to mean anything.

Ethan, who doesn't leave with Luke because he's seen the lengths Kronos went to during the quest and while Ethan still believes the horrible mistreatment needs to change he knows with first hand experienc this won't fix anything.

The Sea of Monsters happens so much more differently.

Ethan is picked for the quest with Clarisse because the Ship of Bone and Percy (fatal flaw still loyalty) is having none of it and wants to go as well.

Clarisse having to save the two of them from being household rodents. Just in general, this quest is more of a mess, but a lot of personal growth happens.

Luke is trying to turn Ethan to his side, but Ethan is having none of it.

THE CIPHER (as the Axolotl :D)

This is basically a swapped roles so but including Bill and The Axolotl (Think Madame Mystery and Dr. Dipper from that other AU.)

Basically, Bill destroyed his dimension on accident, took time to resolve his guilt, and made the Theraprism to rehabilitate villains and make sure they can resolve their own guilts/problems/pain.

More on my Son of Zeus Nico concept, right now. Nico is born with a rather weak constitution, so even though he totally has got the power and the ability to fly, he doesn't really have the capacity for it.

So, whenever he tries he winds up either passing out and crashing, or just directly crashing, at first, Hera forces him to try time and time again, until she realizes Nico just can't do it.

This is all happening up in Olympus, so she's about to pull a real Hera move out of frustration, but before she can actually do it, Hephaestus stops her.

Instead, in the blink of an eye really, Hephaestus builds Nico his own set of wings, and from then onwards, he's completely capable of flying just fine, he just needed the extra aid to do it.

Later on, quietly, Hera thanks her son like she very rarely does, and Hephaestus can tell, she even means it, but he just shakes his head, points at his own disability, and reminds his mother that "Hey, is not the boy's fault you picked him" before leaving back to his studio.

Hephaestus very quickly becomes Nico's favorite brother up on Olympus, which in turn, has Dyonisus and Ares completely fuming.

YES!!! I mean I'm now going to ramble about percybaster but this totally fits as percaethabaster too (mostly mine and phoenix's ramblings tbh)

Ok ok Al who's been at camp since he was a kid, all alone in the Poseidon cabin, not allowed to go outside the camp because of what happened to Thalia and people mostly avoiding him bc. Big Three kid.

He's lonely! He has double daddy issues from both Poseidon and Mr. Torrington! He only has a handful friends! Kronos found himself a perfect opportunity!

Insert Percy

Tlt goes mostly the same. Luke steals the bolt and the helm. Poseidon and Zeus are at eachother's throats. Al is snippy bc he's half sure Zeus wants to kill him more now. His friend Annabeth wants to know if he knows something. (He does the voice in his dreams have a finger on it but he won't tell her that!)

Percy comes to camp in the same way. Turns out being the son of a Titannes attracts a lot of monsters. Aka the Minatour. Sally instead of being taken by Hades (bc he doesn't have any reason to blame Percy) gets saved by Hecate and they're casually chilling in the Underworld during the whole time. Percy still thinks she died tho

Al takes Annabeth, Grover and Percy on his quest bc he doesn't give a single fuck about the rules.

Al leaves with Luke that summer. No scorpion scene ensures. Percy is told Al joined Kronos but he doesn't want to believe it.

Until he comes face to face with Al in SoM.

So now we have Al as the Ta's leader, Luke as his general/advisor, Silena as the spy and Ethan and Chris as his lieutenants

Al and Percy secretly meet up a lot. They're dating. Luke knows this and helps/covers up for Al (also does the threatening when they need to bc he knows Al can't threaten his bf). Ethan also knows but no one knows he does. Annabeth also also knows but Percy only learns this after The Percybaster Breakup.

Yeah, so, every time they meet they slightly argue about Kronos but also brush it off quickly. Until Al tells him he'll be Kronos's host that is. Percy is obviously upset and angry. Al tells yells him he doesn't have a choice in the matter. Cue they yell at eachother and Al storms off. The next time Percy sees him is as Kronos. :)

And Hecate Percy, right?! He's the only sibling in Chb! The rest are in Ta! He fought Lou in the labyrinth instead of Ethan! He has to fight the rest in Botl and BoM! He loves his mom and knows she loves him too but they're on opposite sides!

BoM rolls around. Alabaster inherited the Earthshaker part and Kronos uses this! It's the reason Williamsburg Bridge is destroyed. And the roads of Manhattan are in shambles.

In throne room Annabeth manages to reach out to her old friend and Percy hands Al the knife. Al dies.

Except. That's whet everyone else thinks bc Poseidon, not wanting his son to die, turned him into a fish. Al is very much not impressed.

It's OK Hecate turns him back during Hoo and he joins the Argo when Hazel visits Hecate. He's so worried/scared when he learns Percy and Annabeth are in Tartarus.

That end scene with the gods in Boo, a summary;

Al: YOU TURNED ME INTO A FISH?!?!

Poseidon: Would you rather I let you die??

The rest of the Olympians: ...we would actually.

Also Hazel and Percy bonding on magic.

Honorable mentions: Luke getting the canon Al treatment and getting exiled, Chris and Ethan death swap, the Ta massacre still happening so Percy losing almost all of his sibs.
