“What the!” Shea shouted when she went out into her backyard. The yard was absolutely filthy, piles of garbage stacked everywhere, weeds sprouting out of every inch of the lawn, and the two robots that were supposed to make her house look immaculate were spinning into oblivion.
“I knew we shouldn’t have invested in these dang things!” Shea shouted, smashing the remote control to get the busted robots to stop.
After a long morning of cleaning up the yard and repairing robots she didn’t even want, Shea came back into the house and spent the rest of the morning cuddling and loving her twins.
After they’d gotten dressed and washed up, Shea and Zaire took the babies downstairs, both feeling bittersweet about their kids growing up. Shea held Sequoia while Zaire held Zion up to their cakes and helped the babies blow.
The two aged up perfectly in sync!
Zion looked much more like Shea...
While Sequoia was the spitting image of Zaire!
The two moms changed their kids into more comfortable clothing, and the twins were clearly just as excited about growing up as their parents.
“I can’t believe we essentially had twins of ourselves,” Shea said with a laugh that night. “I mean, look at this little girl! She looks just like you!”
“Zion pretty much stole your entire face,” Zaire laughed. “You’re lucky he’s not blonde, people would confuse you two in a heartbeat.”
when i tell you i sobbed. literally bursting into tears i just... thinking about these two queer teens resurrecting ancient, corrupted gods who loved each other until they couldn't anymore, until she was too changed but proof of their love still exists, hidden away and covered over, but the proof is still there.
