Thanks for the ask!! Gonna do this for my Javi/Amelia ship!

34: Do they have any inside jokes?

This emerges mostly from Amelia’s habit of mispronouncing words, and Javi’s habit of finding the closest substitute for a thing whose name he can’t remember in English, being bilingual.

A spatula becomes a “stapula.”

One of those plastic straws becomes “pipe”

Mocktails/cocktails become “That colorful water”

Wasabi becomes Wabi Sabi, not quite knowing that Wabi Sabi is actually a thing of it own.

An inside joke INSIDE an inside joke is Wabi Sabi also indicating someone being SLAPPED. Because of that one time Javi and Amelia were on a date at that Japanese restaurant and Javi had a whole mouthful of wasabi and it was much much more spicy than he’d imagined, and not being able to handle it too well, he just started screaming non stop until Amelia slapped him hard so he was stunned and stopped screaming.. momentarily.

And later on… they start meowing at each other for communication— for no reason other than that one time Javi brought a stray black cat home, and every time that cat meowed at him, affectionately, and Javi meowed back at it, Amelia got jealous, and started meowing at him for affection just like the cat… and while they had to return the cat to his original owner, the meowing stuck around…

And nobody absolutely nobody except them understands their jokes, and looks at them like they’re idiots when they’re meowing at each other, or purposefully mispronouncing things and the like.

So yeah. They’re DORKS your honor.

I just saw one of your fave games is What remains of Edith Finch and I’m so happy! I feel like its a lesser known game but i loved playing through it. I’m so happy to know more than just my small friend group know about this game!

Sorry this isn’t a question. Also want to say that you’re art is amazing and the development of the designs is so interesting to see. Also the way you draw intimate scenes have so much emotion to them. I love the Aj and rarity kissing comic so much, you can just feel their love for each other ;w;

I highly, highly, highly recommend What Remains of Edith Finch to anyone interested in narrative game experiences/"walking simulators." It's one of those games that was handcrafted with nothing but love. Every room you explore is just... real. The way the light flows in and makes the colors of the living room, the kitchen, the bedrooms glow. Playing the game is like walking through your childhood home as an adult and seeing how the dust clings to everything you once touched. Also genius-level gameplay mechanics, ones that can make you completely empathetic with the character you're embodying or feel completely complacent in their tragedy. It's really not fair to call it a walking simulator because it's so much more and so much smarter than that.Everyone talks about the fish one.

The theme of death and memory and storytelling and the burden of invisible trauma and self-fulfilling prophecies is so affecting too. The ending made me cry.

to elaborate on the fnaf movie: the animatronics looked awesome. they played talking in your sleep by the romantics which rules. none of the characters were particularly gripping or well-developed but matthew lillard looked like he was having a TON of fun as william afton and who can blame him. yes i clapped and cheered when matpat said "it's just a theory". yes i clapped and cheered when afton said "i always come back". yes i clapped and cheered when they played the living tombstone's seminal masterpiece in the end credits. i had so so much fun. absolutely recommend if you just wanna see fun robot murder with cool animatronics and occasional hijinx. god i wanna see it again now
