When it comes to Bart and Kon and their association with Kansas you definitely hear sunflowers coming up a bit in writing or art, but what about the Western Meadowlark??? The state bird (which is also the state bird in 5 other states)! There's gotta be something there.

Boy look at how fitting that is for both Kon and Bart. (Also v. fitting for Kansas and its portrayal in some media. ex. Smallville, Middle of Nowhere, Kansas (Courage the Cowardly Dog))

Also can we talk about cross going through the fives stages of grief with omega. He knew there was no other way out of this, she had to go with them and he also knew omega wasn’t going to allow anyone to get hurt at her expense. But he took it VERY WELL. A little too well which leads me to believe there’s gonna be some self destructive behavior when it comes to getting her back.
When Omega’s safety is in question he’s super focused. His tremor isn’t as severe so it might go really bad before it gets really good for Cross (and I’m scared)
