like, you know how in teen wolf, scott can take someones pain if he touches them. like that except i imagined that long before i watched teen wolf.

Why does Steven obsess so much over those two and their relationship?

Like... where did this even start? And what might it say about Steven himself as an individual, and about his own interpersonal connections?

I feel like there's probably something here, with like... how much young s1 Steven seemed to assume them as waaaaay older than him, and had many lines of dialogue suggesting he assumed they were married, and even like... that moment in Rose's room where the glitched Beach City "idealized" versions of Sadie and Lars almost treated him in a loving "parental" way, saying "we love you, goodbye" before disappearing into the back.

Something-something mumble mumble Lars and Sadie being the closest humans to Steven's home in those early tumultuous days of the Gems always being away on missions and Greg being fairly distant (out of fear of getting overly involved in Gem stuff) and Pearl and Amethyst always getting on each others' case and everyone in his life always leaving him home alone to just be a free ranged kid with almost no responsibilities or supervision- and him wandering in to this familiar little store where the same two people are always there and they fight in the same way his guardians do, but like, his guardians all still love each other, right, so Lars and Sadie must too, and, and... mix that all up with his lingering mommy issues and his subconscious craving for a normal, stable family life (see Chile Tid, and him literally dreaming about he and the Gems all being human and living out a dull sitcom episode plot instead of the chaos their life is instead) and suddenly you have the two co-workers at the donut shop he gets breakfast at almost every day becoming the spinning centerpiece of all these stagnating emotions of his

There's honestly a lot more one can say about Steven's need to constantly have a little people improvement pet project further down the line in the show, but I get the sense that LITTLE little Steven first started fixating on their dynamic bc he was like,,, playing "house" in his head

Tell me why I want to write a fic where the iwtv characters go to therapy and process their trauma… it’s because I’m a therapist isn’t it? I think about each character’s specific trauma and start treatment planning lol. The art therapist in me is so curious to see what sort of latent content emerges in traumatized vampire art…

Question is would I write it from the character’s POV or from the therapist’s? And if the vampires are unpacking their trauma and revealing their nature to said therapist, does the therapist get to live?

Anyway… should I write this? If I were to write it should I put all of them in therapy or just pick one traumatized vampire??? If I do decide to do this any suggestions are welcome lol
