Random NSFW headcanon please? (If you do nsfw...)
alrighty roo, buckaroo, lets discuss kinkage - thank you so much for the request
Random Kinks They Deffo Have
They: Iruka, Kakashi, and Itachi (with additions of Sasuke and Shikamaru) (f!Reader)
Warnings: whew! Swearing, explicit smut, power play, somno/free use, auralism, names of authority, praise kink, spit/blood/cum play, idk just please be 18
Notes: This one is for the freaks, obvi Boruto!Sasuke and Boruto!Shikamaru, I'm begging for everyone's thoughts and opinions - be prepared for Shikamaru's to be nasty
Masterlist💿
Iruka
Power Play
He just fucking loves when you take control
Anything you tell him to do, Iruka will do compulsively, and he's absolutely twitching when you tell him how good he is for doing so
All! About! Your! Pleasure!
Iruka's favourite encounters would be when he's not allowed to touch you, though, funnily enough
You're riding him, and all he can do is watch your sultry smile and feel your pussy hugging him tight - he wants to feel you, to run his hands all over your body - but he can't - or else you'll slow down to a halt and sometimes even pull him out, just to give him a beration of sorts
Now, that said, Iruka does not fuck with demeaning talk - you better love on this motherfucker, he's trying his goddamn best for you, and if you should negate that, it would allow a dark cloud to form over Iruka's mind
You don't want that, right? Exactly. So you keep it sweet, you give him stupid, little commands then fan the flames of his ego when he completes the command in spades
Lowk gets boyfriend-brain when he's with you, so kinda does need to be told what to do
Iruka is a sweetheart!!! He's always going what he can for you, all the time, even if you don't explicitly ask him to every time
Kakashi
Free Use/Somnophilia
When you said you would be okay with giving it a trial run, Kakashi was elated, and fucked you four seperate times that night, and began again before you woke up in the morning
He fucks you slow, almost trying not to wake you up, but the stretch is unmistakable
"Good morning, pretty lady. Have any good dreams?" He would ask, noticing your quickened breath, making you instantly relax into the situation
You love it - you stop sleeping in any amount of pant, just so Kakashi could have you as he pleased
When you got home, he would be pressing you against the door, when you try to start chopping vegetables for dinner, he would bend you over then pop you up on the counter when he just couldn't get enough
Kakashi's condition is that everything spontaneous happens within your shared, lovely, little home
He might sneak you away occasionally while the two of you are out, finding a small cache in the forest, but Kakashi would be asking for permission, assurance, consent at every step of the way - public is just different, but he's not entirely opposed
Kakashi just can't believe he's got you, and every time he looks at you, he needs to have you
Itachi
Auralism
He needs to hear you; the way your voice quakes, the way your nails rake across the skin of his back
Itachi's favourite sound though, is the harmony of your bodies meeting, skin smacking skin, squelches and a slick plunging sound, filling the room
Yeiff - let alone fucking outside - my god - Itachi wants your encounter to be so loud that the whole world knows what's going on
With his shit eyeslight, Itachi would prefer to close his eyes while fucking you, letting your beautifully wanton sounds paint a picture in his mind
In a perfect world, he would totally love to get tied up with a blindfold on - just to be at the mercy of your light touch and the intoxicating sound of your pleasure - Itachi would break the binding eventually, desperate to have his hands on you, needing to fuck you hard enough to hear the smacking and sloshing
Itachi is also the primo dirty talker, insisting you reply to him through your stinted pants, sharp gasps and breathy moans
His whole arousal around the subject of sound is cranked up to ten the second the two of you are in public - your little yips when he squeezes your ass, or the biting 'Itachi' that slips out of your mouth when he corners you to cop a feel
Oh, he fucks with names, you can call him whatever the fuck you want, so long as he's the one you're screaming about - but he likes it when you speak to him with more authoritarian honorifics (sir, daddy, lord)
Sasuke
Praise
Ooh, tell him he's hitting the spot and Sasuke would lose it, only trying to hit the exact same spot again
If you're ever out, singing his tune to another party, about anything, and Sasuke catches wind, he's taking you home immediately to prove he can provide more than you bargained for
Y'all, lets be real, and acknowledge that sweet Sasuke craves praise in any and all capacities, but most fervently in the four walls of your bedroom
Again and again, it doesn't matter how many times you tell him, he wants to hear it again
"Sasuke, your cock is so fucking big," you gasped as he slid in slowly.
"Louder. Tell the neighbours."
Loves, loves, loves to be able to hear the affect he's having on your body, every wave of pleasure, every jolt from your orgasm
Even if it's visibly clear that he's got you like putty in his palm, Sasuke will demand that you tell him how good he is, how deep he can reach, how much your pussy loved him
You're a blabbering mess, and it strokes Sasuke's ego to no end that he can bring you to this point, absolutely drunk with pleasure
Shikamaru
Spit/Blood/Cum Play
Anything Shikamaru can ingest that comes from your body (not excretions, sickos), he will
It's insane when you two hit the trifecta - Shikamaru cumming all over a patch of knicks on your stomach then spitting on the pile of liquid, he would mix it all together with his index finger, on top of you, before he would lean down and lick it all up, shoving the finger covered in the rose-tinted mixture into your mouth
Mm mm mm, and your cum, my good Christ, does he ever love your cum
Nothing brings Shikamaru so much joy as pulling his fingers out of you, being coated in a shiny slick
There's also something about the way your face screws up every time he brings a kunai into the bedroom - Shikamaru goes weak in the knees when he sees your crimson blood, glinting on the tip of the knife, losing it even further when you lick it off without hestitation
He's going to cum on your face, just to see you try to open those pretty eyelashes of yours, beads of white weighing them down
Shikamaru had no clue he was into fluids, until you randomly asked him, one day, to spit in your mouth - it's been a done deal since then, spitting just comes with the territory eventually
He always loved seeing your body get painted with his cum, but it's a whole different ball game to watch you play with it, to watch you lick it all up without wasting a drop like you used to do (honestly, Shikamaru can't even remember why he used to wipe his cum off of you)

drbarbie: tbt to the very first storm I ‘chased’ and the lifelong obsession that it sparked within me!

user1: you were so young!
teammember1: nice to know you’ve been crazy for years! 😂❤️
drbarbie: Passionate! The term is passionate 🩵
teammember2: no I think crazy is better
user2: ok but what are Logan Sargeant and Oscar Piastri doing in the likes…
user3: right?
user4: maybe they watch the Storm Wrangler YouTube channel?
user3: that would be the crossover of the century!
teammate3: awwww baby Dr. Barbie…
drbarbie: I think I made my dad drive around for hours trying to find where the rain was actually coming down
user4: ok that’s adorable
user5: newbie here 👋🏻 why the nickname Barbie?
drbarbie: I’m a 5’11” blonde woman with blue eyes who was in like every conceivable sport and after school program. Some butt starting calling me Barbie as a joke and now people forget my real name 😅
user6: wait your name isn’t actually Barbie? What’s real? What’s fake? Who knows? 🤣
drbarbie: yeah you can blame my twin for that…
loganpriv: you begged for weeks to get a cool nickname and were delighted! To tell people to call you Barbie.
alicepriv: shush 🤐
oscarpriv: oh really?
alicepriv: I said shut up?
user7: you have a twin?!
drbarbie: yup! I’m older then him by about 5 minutes - and I’ve never let him forget it 😂
loganpriv: and another lie! What’s up with that?
alicepriv: I’m gonna tell mom you’re bullying me!
loganpriv: do it! And I’ll tell her you’re lying to the internet

user8: you’re a buckaroo too?! Love this!
oscarpiastri: watching the back episodes or the live stream?
logansargeant: back episodes first of course!
user9: ok but they’re both buckaroos too
user10: am i dumb? Buckaroos?
user11: kinda a you had to be there moment - during one of their first live streams teammate2 called everyone on the team buckaroos to get them moving and the fans just? kinda adopted the term for ourselves
user10: ohhhh ok. That makes sense and it’s so cute! Proud to be a buckaroo!
user12: this is gonna be your week Logan!
user13: yeah! Austin has always been really good to you! 🩵
alicepriv: so I’m gonna hold your hand when I say this…
loganpriv: what does that mean?
oscarpriv: Alice…

drbarbie: isn’t she a beaut! One of the biggest this year and I’m very happy to say Dolly (and us!) survived it!!! The opportunity to quite literally drive into the storm started as a fever dream from a few of the team members but we proved that it could be done. And this now allows us to gather even more important data — and as we always say, you can never have too much data!
view all comments
user14: Watching that almost gave me a heart attack oh my god
user15: i know! And they didn’t even give us any warning that it was something they could do!!!😡😢
drbarbie: We apologize! The team had been so excited and focused on getting Dolly ready for this that we forgot other people don’t live in our brains
user14: what even prompted this?
drbarbie: we were hitting bumps in the research process and as we were brainstorming ideas on how to fix it someone said that the easiest way was to…just go into the tornado. We said bet” then figured out a way to allow us to do that safely!
teammember1: so I’m switching vehicles. I’m staying with the weather van from now on
drbarbie: oh it wasn’t that bad!
teammember1: I have about 200 new strands of grey hairs and a sore throat from all the screaming
drbarbie: like I said! Not that bad
user16: oh so you’re crazy crazy
drbarbie: we’re doing important research!
user17: what even was the point of all this?
drbarbie: my team and I are researching for a way that would allow us to stop a tornado in its tracks. We’re at the point where we can almost completely accurately predict when and where a tornado will hit — which is hugely important! Cause that allows us to save lives. But my team wants to take it a step further — to stop the storms when they do hit! To help protect people’s livelihoods
user17: holy shit! That’s huge!
user18: I didn’t even realize that is something that could be possible!
drbarbie: we believe strongly that it’s something that can be done. And we’re trying everything that we can to make it happen!
loganpriv: what the hell is this?!?
alicepriv: i told you you wouldn’t like it
oscarpriv: yes but there’s a huge difference between not liking it and it being completely INSANE
alicepriv: the theory was sound
loganpriv: this time - that’s not good enough

What the hell Alice? Driving into a tornado?
Oh don’t even Logan! Not when the two of you drive those super speed death traps!
That’s not even remotely the same and you know it!
…I know. Ok I know…
Alice…
Don’t. I know I should have told you before but…
Barbs?
I know you don’t like this answer but the theory was sound. We reached out and talked to like 10 different universities on the best way to modify the car and took all the extra precautions we could. The science-
doesn’t lie…
Haha
…you’re ok?
I think my heart is still racing but yes. And it’s almost done!
What is?

logansargeant: Glad you could make time in your schedule to visit!
drbarbie: “But it's the Grand Prix!”
logansargeant: “Is it? Who's playing?”
drbarbie: “No one's playing. It's the Grand Prix. I never miss the Grand Prix.”
user28:…ok maybe you guys connected the dots
alexalbon: it was nice to meet you! Didn’t think I’d ever meet someone who had a more dangerous job then race driving though
drbarbie: same! It was such a pleasure — and don’t even. I’ll take my job over yours any day
alexalbon: really? You’d rather drive after and into tornados then drive in circles?
drbarbie: stupid circles! And yes. Yes I would

A Risk | Daryl Dixon x Fem!Reader
Summary: In an attempt to hide from a herd, Daryl sought cover in an abandoned cabin. However, he stumbled across a woman that threatened him, and he soon figured out that there was more to her than meets the eye.
Era: Prison, pre season four.
Warnings: Swearing, allusions to near death, walkers.
Word count: 1k.
A/N: Requested by @nikkicloudie. I hope you like this!
“I said: Lower. Your. Fucking. Weapon.”
Against his better judgement, Daryl slowly and hesitantly lowered his crossbow, allowing it to drop to the floor with a dull clink. Once his beloved crossbow was out of his grasp, he raised his hands above his head in surrender.
“I ain’t lookin’ for no trouble, lady,” Daryl spoke up, his ocean-coloured eyes flickering between the gun in your grasp and your face. He was searching for any change in your demeanour, for any sign that you would attack. “Jus’ passin’ through. M’hidin’ from that herd that’s ‘bout two miles from here. M’waitin’ ‘em out.”
Daryl could see the contemplation on your face. With a mere glance at your face, and the way your grip slightly loosened around the gun, the archer knew he was not in any immediate danger. However, he still did not let his guard down. Perhaps you were a master of deception, and you were simply playing him. He did not want to risk it.
“Go.” you finally voiced after a good while of silence. “There’s another cabin about a mile up from here. If you leave now, you’ll make it before the herd gets here.”
Daryl scoffed and shook his head. “Nah. I ain’t riskin’ it. M’not leavin’.”
“Well that’s too damn bad, buckaroo,” you retorted, your gun being raised and aimed at him once more. “I’m not about to risk my s—my life for some stranger. Leave, or I’ll shoot you, I swear to god.”
“Listen, lady. I ain’t—”
Before Daryl could finish his sentence, a loud crash came from another room, followed by a cry. Was he going insane, or did that sound like a little kid? However, before Daryl could do anything, you turned around and bolted towards the source of the sound.
With a frown, Daryl picked up his crossbow and slowly walked towards the room you had disappeared into. He raised his weapon, fully prepared for an attack, but the sight that beheld him had him stopping in his tracks.
A walker laid dead by the window. You were down on your knees, your gun discarded a few feet away from you, and in your embrace was a little boy; the little boy looked no older than three years old. Suddenly, it all made sense to him. The new world gave everyone all the reasons to be extremely defensive, but you had another reason. You had someone you wanted, needed to keep safe.
Your eyes flickered up to meet Daryl’s, and the archer could clearly see how glassy they had become. It did not take a rocket scientist to figure out that the little boy had almost been that walker’s next meal. If you had not appeared when you had… Daryl did not even want to finish that thought.
“You’re okay, Chris. I got you, Baby. Mama’s got you,” you murmured to the little boy in your arms. You gently picked him up as you raised from the floor and allowed him to bury his face into your neck, his quiet whimpers and sniffles being muffled. You looked back at Daryl, your expression less guarded, but more broken.
At that moment, Daryl had already made up his mind. You were clearly just a mom trying to defend her son from the harsh reality that was the world outside, and you had viewed Daryl as a potential threat, and you had every right to be wary of him. He supposed he did not look like the most warm, inviting person ever, and he definitely did not blame you for wanting him as far away from your son as humanly possible.
“M’from a place not too far from here,” Daryl spoke up after a few moments of contemplating his options. He continued when he noticed he had your full attention. “S’a prison that we converted into a community. It’s safe and secure, with ‘bout fifty people walkin’ around and makin’ due.”
“Is that an offer?” you inquired, your hand rubbing soothing circles over your son’s back. “I mean, I just threatened to kill you.”
Daryl shrugged and slung his crossbow over his shoulder. “I would’ve been more terrified of ya if ya didn’t point yer gun at me, considerin’ the world we live in now.” Daryl’s lips involuntarily twitched into a small smile when he heard your light chuckle. “I only have three questions for ya, though.”
You furrowed your eyebrows. “Sure. Shoot.”
“How many walkers have ya killed?” he began, studying your expression closely.
It was your turn to shrug. “I don’t know. A lot.”
“How many people have ya killed?”
A small beat of silence passed. “One.”
“Why?”
“Because I wasn’t about to allow him to kill my son.”
Your answers were more than sufficient, considering the questions you were being asked. He was about to say something, until he heard groaning coming from outside. He ushered you down, and quickly sprung into action. He closed the window and lowered himself down against the wall, right next to you. He turned his head to look at you, and saw how you quietly tried to shush your son, who had started fussing once he picked up on the shift in the mood.
“Mama,” he whimpered, instantly being shushed by you.
“It’s okay, Baby. Shh. It’ll be over soon, okay?” You turned your head and looked at Daryl, your expression desperate. “I don’t know if what you’re saying is true or not, but I can’t live like this anymore.” For added emphasis, you motioned towards the window, where dozens of walkers were walking past. “My son isn’t safe like this. Your offer is just a risk I have to take.”
Daryl nodded. “I know ya dun’ trust me, but I’d never endanger yer lil’ one like that. Ya have my word on that.”
A few beats of silence passed. “I’m Y/N, by the way. This is Chris.”
“Daryl,” Daryl told you. “M’Daryl. And I promise m’gon’ make sure ya get yer lil’ boy to safety. Ain’t gon’ let nothin’ happen to him.”

Hi Dr. Tingle,
Maybe I'm mistaken, but your most recent Tingler is the first one I've seen that features a man without rock-hard six-pack abs. I appreciate the spotlight on a more average-looking male body. Is there a reason for the usual muscles? Do you typically find it easier to write about muscular men vs. fat men? I love your work and wanted to share some love and praise. Be well and keep trotting! You're doing amazing!
Ollie
thank you for question. there are quite a few larger buckaroos and ladybucks on tingler covers and if it was up to check there would be more. the ISSUE is not really in taste of chuck so much as the taste of STOCK PHOTO PHOTOGRAPHERS
there are very few photos of big models that are in poses of an erotic way. usually big model photoshoots are joke photos which is not what i am looking for and a very disappointing trend. also i do not like to reuse models so if i find a dang good set of a larger buckaroo that only means ONE tingler cover
but you are welcome and i will continue trying to make diverse cover models when possible. buckaroos of all sizes and shapes are welcome in the tingleverse. LOVE IS REAL does not mean only CERTAIN kinds of love are real
anyway since you asked here are a few tinglers with larger cover buckaroos proving love is real and being hot to trot

Buck takes a photo of the open closet and sends it to Hen. 'See what i mean??' he texts.
Hen replies with a gif of a cartoon bunny shaking its head. 'that is the wardrobe of sadness'
'preciselu. Pls pls pls help me drag my bf out on a shopping trip'
'whens our next overlapping off day'
'wed + thu'
'lure him out for coffee and I'll bump into you. don't let him have any other plans'
--
"Hen! What a surprise to see you here!" Buck exclaims brightly when he spies Hen in her bright pink hoodie and ripped jeans.
"Buckaroo!" Hen hugs him and, out of sight of Tommy, whispers ferociously, "Tone it down, that was terrible acting."
Tommy sips from his coffee and bumps a fist with her. "Good to see you. Where are you going?"
"Thought I should update my wardrobe, maybe buy some new clothes for Denny too. Hey, you two free? Could use some opinions from a couple of guys."
"We're hardly teenage boys," Tommy points out reasonably, but he is overruled by both Hen and Buck.
Once they get Tommy into the mall, Buck is reassured that his boyfriend is going to come out with some colors for his closet. There are only so many neutrals he can endure on his very hot boyfriend.
--
At the end of the day, when a very bemused Tommy is sorting out the purchases he apparently had to make just because Hen Wilson said to, Buck makes him do a fashion show, snapping photos of each new shirt, tee, sweater, and even that fancy sleeveless top that Buck wants to get wet ASAP. His favorite is a purple shirt, slightly sheer and almost iridescent under the light, which makes Tommy's eyes sparkle.
"I don't think this is really my style," Tommy says, looking down at himself and then back in the mirror. "It's so... fussy."
"You look hot in it," Buck says. "I can't wait for you to wear this to a club and see the guys and gals go nonverbal with lust."
Tommy raises an eyebrow at him. "Baby, I'm forty years old. Guys and gals don't lust over middle-aged men in sheer purple tops."
"Bet you ten dollars you end up getting propositioned by someone other than me if you wear that out tonight." Buck sidles closer and puts his hands on Tommy's chest. "In fact, ten dollars per person who comes up to you to get your number. And I can't wait to see them green with envy when I get to take you home."
Amused, Tommy presses a gentle kiss to Buck's lips. "And if I don't get a single proposition?"
"I remember you were telling me about the daydream of a rollercoaster blowjob..."
"Ah, no, I don't want my junk bitten off mid-ride."
"How about sex on the beach then? I know a spot that's very secluded. No one else goes there," Buck asks, wagging his eyebrows suggestively.
He knows when Tommy's hooked, the second his nostrils flare and his eyes darken.
Tommy licks his lips and smirks. "Pack towels, condoms and a mat," he tells Buck. "You're so gonna lose."
--
Buck wins $70. He splits the winnings with Hen.
(To console Tommy for losing the bet, Buck still gave Tommy a ride on the beach, purple shirt unbuttoned and his curls loosened by the wind and the crashing waves hiding their moans.)
(Buck does not tell Hen about this.)

bucktommy: working together on a call, not just working the call separately with their houses but tommy working with buck and the 118
This is kind of a short one, but I wanted to get a prompt finished before I went to bed. Hope you enjoy!
“Fancy meeting you here,” Tommy panted, out of breath as he continued digging through rubble. “Thought everyone was told to evacuate.”
“We were told to evacuate,” Buck informed him. “And yet, here you are.”
He stopped digging long enough to look up at Buck. “Please tell me you have a Halligan with you?”
“Of course I do.” Buck pulled the Halligan out from where it was strapped to the side of his turnouts, handing it over to Tommy. “Where's yours?” He asked as he kneeled across from his boyfriend, beginning to dig right next to where Tommy was now pulling up some pieces of plywood.
“Fell down the elevator shaft.”
Buck glanced up at him. “Do I even wanna ask?”
Tommy shook his head. “No. Listen, Evan, you need to-”
“Don't even start with me, Tommy. I don't know why you're in here, but as long as you're in here, I'm in here.”
Tommy took a deep breath. He thought about arguing, but he knew Evan. Knew there was no point. “I heard a noise,” he explained. "I don't know how far down they are.”
“Then we keep digging.”
The sunlight outside did little to help them see. Smoke filled the room so thick they couldn't see any more than about a foot in front of them.
“About how long do we have?” Tommy asked.
“They said five minutes... six minutes ago.”
“Awesome,” Tommy deadpanned.
Tommy was taking one last sweep of the building when he heard the order to clear the area. Two stories had already collapsed, and the rest of the building was gonna go down at any time. He was just about to confirm that he was heading out when he heard a noise.
A squeak, or a scratch, coming from below the rubble. He'd called out, but gotten no answer.
He was in the middle of convincing himself it was the building itself causing the noises, when he heard it again. Louder this time. Right in the dead center of where there had been a partial collapse.
So, instead of radioing that he was exiting the building, he asked for help on the third floor.
“That's a negative, Kinard,” Captain Fredricks had replied, incident commander at the scene. “You gotta get out of there. Now.”
But he couldn't. He couldn't leave someone behind. He'd think about those noises for the rest of his life. How he left them as they made a final effort to be saved.
So turned his radio down and kept digging.
He should've known Evan would show up in record time.
He also should have known that three others would pop up as well.
Chimney set his equipment down next to Buck. “You guys know I hate not being invited to parties.”
“Cap is distracting Fredricks,” Hen explained. “We've got three minutes, maybe.”
“You ever regret taking these extra ground ops shifts?” Eddie joked, giving Tommy a pat on the back before beginning to pull debris from the area.
“Every single time I do it,” Tommy answered honestly.
“Yeah, but our extra shifts are gonna help us pay for the wedding in cash,” Buck pointed out. Just then, a large portion of what was remaining of the roof fell directly behind them.
“Let's worry about actually getting you to your wedding, Buckaroo,” Chimney said, chomping down on his gum. “Hen, help me out over here?”
“Coming!”
Tommy sighed anxiously. “You guys don't have to be-”
“Shut up!” The rest of the group exclaimed synchronously.
“You should know by now,” Buck grunted as he lifted up a heavy piece of floorboard, “none of us listen well.”
“Yes, well,” Tommy motioned to the space around them, “apparently I don't either.”
Buck smiled. “That's why this works, Babe.”
“I just can't help it if I don't want you to-” Tommy paused abruptly.
“What?” Buck asked. “What is it?”
“I hear something. It's right under here!” They all began moving faster, tearing away at the debris to get closer to the noise.
Finally, they'd made a gap big enough for Tommy to reach his hand down and grab onto- “I got it!” he exclaimed. As Chimney shined a flashlight on him, he pulled his hand up, cradling a black and white kitten.
“Gotta say,” Eddie noted, one hand on his hip, “I expected something slightly more human.”
“There's gotta be more!” Buck reached in next, pulling out one orange and white kitten, then a gray one. Tommy shined a flashlight into the hole and reached in a final time, this time grabbing onto a fully grown gray and white cat.
“All clear,” he announced, just in time for the building to start to rumble in a way that was definitely not good. “Let's get out of here, guys.”
When they got outside, Hen and Chimney both tried to pull the babies away from Buck while the mama cat got some oxygen as she laid on Tommy's laps. She was malnourished, and nursing. It was clear she and the babies hadn't been properly taken care of, if they belonged to anybody at all.
Each time Hen or Chimney tried to take the babies, they'd squeak and squeal until they were returned to Buck.
“I see the rescue was a success,” Bobby said, a smile on his face as he came over to where Tommy and Buck were sitting on a curb. “Are all the patients doing alright?”
“They're good,” Tommy answered, giving the mama some extra pets as she rested in his arms. “All stubborn little fighters, that's for sure.”
“Seems like they know their people,” Bobby quipped.
Buck smiled widely as the kittens climbed up and down his turnouts. “I think we just started a family, Cap.”
Bobby laughed, looking from Buck to Tommy with nothing but fondness in his eyes. “You good with four new fur babies?”
Tommy stared over at Buck, too busy giggling with the kittens to pay Tommy and Bobby any mind. He grinned. “How am I supposed to say no to that?”

Sunrises and Sunsets
Pairing: Ranch Hand!Bucky Barnes x Female Reader
Summary: Bucky wants to watch a sunrise with you.
Word Count: Over 2k
Warnings: Fluff, reflecting, tooth rotting sweetness, a bit of sass, slight feels (it's me), Bucky Barnes (he's a warning, okay?).
A/N: More Beach Fun Nonsense! Hope you lovelies enjoy. @bigtreefest requested for Ranch Hand!Bucky to either Go for a Swim (smut) or dig his Toes in the Sand (fluff - this won with my muse) with prompt #1 in bold. Not beta read and written on my phone, so any and all mistakes are my own. Please follow @navybrat817-sideblog for new fics and notifications. Comments, reblogs, feedback are loved and appreciated!
You woke up before the alarm went off thanks to Bucky. He normally did his best not to disturb your slumber if you didn't have to get up right away, unless he wanted you and you would gladly forgo sleep for that. But the soft kisses he placed along your shoulder and neck weren't rushed or needy. In the darkness you reached for his hand and felt him smile against your skin when you took it. It made you smile, too, and your heart beat faster in your chest. Waking up beside him was a gift.
“Morning,” you whispered, brushing some of the hair from his eyes when you turned to face him.
“Morning,” he whispered back, kissing the center of your forehead. “Time to get up.”
“No,” you groaned. You didn't glance at the time, but your inner alarm clock knew you had a few more minutes.
He chuckled and nipped your other shoulder hard enough to make you gasp. “Yes, Sunbeam,” he said, his tongue tracing the spot he bit. “Gonna watch the sun come up together before breakfast.”
“Why?” You asked. Today wasn't a special occasion or anniversary that you were aware of. He would have reminded you at some point or vice versa.
“Because I wanna watch the sunrise with you,” he replied, sliding a finger under your chin before you could hide your face in his chest. The room was dark, but you felt his gaze plead with you to get up. “Please?” He added for good measure.
With another groan, you gave in. “Fine,” you sighed, trying to hide your smile as you stretched under the sheets. You lucked out with Bucky when it came to small romantic moments. What other man would wake you just to watch the sunrise together? “Sun, breakfast, caffeine.”
“Turning on the light,” he warned, giving you time to cover your eyes when he leaned over to flip the lamp switch. He was thoughtful like that. “I didn't hear 'sex with my amazing boyfriend' on that list. Kinda hurts my feelings.”
You giggled and removed your hand, blinking more of the sleep from your eyes. “Sex is for after I have my caffeine.”
It was his turn to groan. “Fine,” he mocked in his best imitation of you, making you giggle again. You didn't always laugh this early in the morning and not every day began this bright, but every day was a bit lighter thanks to him. “C’mon. You can sleep later.”
“Whatever you say, Buckaroo,” you said as you sat up. You slid your feet into your slippers, your stomach fluttering because you know you didn't put them back in that spot yesterday. “Thank you,” you said, wiggling your toes.
“Can't let your feet touch the cold floor now, can I?” He winked, stretching as he stood up.
Your throat tightened. It was such a tiny gesture in the grand scheme of things, but it was the little things that mattered. They showed that he paid attention and cared. You tried to do the same for him, like cooking his favorite meals or drawing him a bath after a hard day. You hoped it was enough.
“You’re so good to me,” you said, holding your hands out so he could help you stand.
“We’re good to each other,” he said, pulling you up with ease.
The rough pads of his fingertips rubbed along your skin, a physical reminder of the work he put in day in and day out. His hands made a difference in the world and your life, his calloused touch telling hundreds of stories. Being part of his journey and creating a new story together was something out of a dream. The beauty of it was that your story wasn't over yet.
“What are you thinking about?” He asked.
“I’ll tell you when we go outside,” you replied, not wanting him to miss any of the view. “Do you need to put a shirt on?”
He pulled a hand away to pat his pocket before he smirked and pointed to his washboard abs. “These give me plenty of heat.”
Your gaze went to his torso, heat of your own spreading from your core. Working day in and day out kept him in great shape. He belonged on one of those cowboy romance novel covers. Or a calendar.
I could make a killing with a ranch hand calendar featuring all the guys.
“And for breakfast, I'll make you some humble pie. A big ol’ slice,” you teased.
“Mmm. Pie for breakfast. You do love me,” he joked.
“More than anything,” you smiled.
He leaned in and pressed a kiss to your mouth, tilting your world on its axis like always. “Love you, too.”
“You have to if you don't care about my morning breath,” you smiled.
He grabbed a couple of blankets as he led you out to the front porch, just in case there was a chill in the air. Another thoughtful gesture. Instead of taking you to the porch swing like you expected, he took you down the steps and laid out one of the blankets in the grass where you sometimes had picnics together.
“Why aren't we sitting in the swing?” You asked.
“I mean, we could sit in the swing and I can put my arm around you.” He sat down and spread his legs out in front of him, patting the spot between them. “But it’s easier to hold you like this and I wanna hold you when the sun comes up.”
“You’re such a sap,” you smiled, happily taking the spot between his legs. “But I like that.”
“You do know I’m only a sap for you, right?”
“I do,” you said, spreading the other blanket across your legs. “Don't worry. I won't tell anyone.”
“Too late. Everyone knows,” he smiled.
“True,” you said, tilting your head and taking the opportunity to kiss underneath his chin before you looked back at the horizon.
Exhaling, you pressed your back against Bucky’s chest and revelled in the warmth of his body as he wrapped his arms around you. He occasionally reminded you of the sun. He had fire within him and brightened your world just by being there. But to him, you were the sun.
We're each other's sun and moon.
“So, you just felt like watching a sunrise with me?” You asked.
“Just felt like it,” he agreed, holding you a bit tighter. “I’ve watched sunrises and sunsets more times than I can count, but it’s just different with you.”
“Why is that?” You asked.
“It may not make sense, but the sunrise just looks more beautiful and hopeful because I have someone to share it with. And people say sunsets are a way to reset, but I’m just thankful because it was another day I got to spend with you.” He pressed a lingering kiss to your temple as your heart swelled. “Each day is a blessing because you're in my life.”
You were on the verge of spilling tears, but managed to keep them at bay. “I feel blessed, too,” you whispered.
His chest shook as he chuckled. “I really am a sap.”
“Yeah, but you’re my sap,” you said, tracing the palm of his hand. It was a special thing to bring out that side of him. “You know how you asked me what I was thinking about earlier? I was thinking how your hands can tell so many stories. I think your wrinkles will tell stories, too.”
“My wrinkles?” He asked.
“Yeah. Each is a chapter in your story. Just like every scar,” you answered. Bucky thought every mark on your body was a thing of beauty. You wanted him to feel the same way about his. “They’ll say how you survived hard times. How you lived your life. How you loved.”
“You’re a sap, too,” he teased, catching your elbow before you could ram it into him. “Easy, I’m kidding. I think that’s a beautiful way to look at it.”
There was beauty all around you with Bucky.
“Well, the thought of getting older used to scare me, but it doesn't seem so bad because I have you. We won't have to do it alone. We’ll grow together,” you smiled, gazing at the sky that seemed to stretch on forever. “So when we're older and you have wrinkles and gray hairs, I want you to keep doing this: Wake me up for a sunrise just because you felt like it. Just because you wanted to share one more beautiful moment with me.”
“You wanna grow old with me?” He asked, his voice thicker than you expected. “And on those days, you’ll still love me? Wrinkles and all?”
“Of course, I do. And of course, I will,” you promised. You would love him no matter what. “And you’ll still love me when I grow old?”
“Forever and always,” he whispered, resting his chin on your shoulder when the sun began to rise.
Your heart raced as the hues touched the land you two shared, painting a canvas in glowing rays. He was right that the sunrise was more beautiful and hopeful because you had someone to share it with. And while you were certain there were others watching the sky, this felt like a new dawn just for the two of you.
“It really is breathtaking, isn’t it?” You smiled.
“You’re breathtaking,” he said, making your smile widen as your cheeks warmed.
“You flatter me, Buckaroo,” you said affectionately.
Bucky took a deep breath by your ear as you continued to look at the view. “Marry me, Sunbeam,” he whispered.
With wide eyes, you spun around in his arms. You didn't know it, but to him you looked like an angel with the rays growing brighter around you. “What?” You asked.
“Shit. I was supposed to ask you, not tell you. And I was supposed to have something special planned, but I keep carrying this around in case the time’s right and this just seemed right.” He swallowed before he reached into his pajama pocket and pulled out a small box. “It isn't much. Sure as hell isn't what you deserve and I'm sorry for that,” he said. You covered your mouth with a gasp when he opened it. Simple, beautiful, and a diamond that sparkled like the sun. To you, it was the most beautiful ring to ever exist. “But I love you and I want you to be my wife. I wanna grow old with you and I don't wanna tell the story of my life without you in it. I-”
“Yes!” You shouted into the morning air, knocking him on his back. You were lucky you didn’t knock the ring box out of his hand. “Yes, yes, yes! I’ll marry you!”
“I wasn't done with my proposal,” he chuckled.
“I don't care. I said ‘yes’. Now’s the part where you put the ring on my finger,” you smiled with tears in your eyes. He managed to slip the ring onto your finger with you stretched out on top of him. A perfect fit. “It’s beautiful. Don't ever apologize for giving me something so beautiful.”
The proposal was beautiful, too. It came from the heart at a time he knew was right. You couldn't ask for anything better.
I have the whole world because of you.
You swore you saw the sunrise in his eyes as he framed your face and smiled up at you. “Love you, Sunbeam.”
“Love you, too, Buckaroo,” you whispered, giggling. “And guess what?”
“What’s that?”
“I can change sex with my amazing boyfriend to fiancé,” you smiled.
“Why don’t we skip to that part? I’ll make sure you get some caffeine after,” he smirked. "Deal," you giggled again, leaning down to kiss him.
The sun continued to climb in the sky behind you as he deepened the kiss, bathing you in light as you celebrated the next chapter in your life together.
And with his ring on your finger, you knew you’d forever appreciate every sunrise and sunset even more.
Anyone else get a cavity from this sweetness? Love and thanks for reading! ❤️

"Any plans for your days off, Buck?"
Buck knows his grin is a little feral, but he's kind of hoping that'll throw them off the trail. It's barely been a year, and in that time they've had three natural disasters, one copter crash, a boss intent on making Buck's life a living hell, and two almost break-ups.
It's too soon, to know for sure, except Athena and Bobby had known, and Hen and Karen had known even if they were too scared to admit it at first, and Chim and Maddie may have taken a little longer to get there but they'd known.
And Buck knows. He knows he's never felt like this about anyone before. Knows no one has ever had the ability to infuriate him and calm his fears quite like Tommy Kinard can. Knows they could have done this like they joked about six months ago and they wouldn't have regretted it.
Hen is making a face like she's trying to decide if she wants to know whatever head-tilt-cheek-bite sexual innuendo Buck's got in the barrel, because she only appreciates that about half of the time and Buck's praying she decides on no because he's a terrible fucking liar and he doesn't like keeping things from people. But it's sort of a secret, for the next 48 hours, and Buck also wants to bask in it, wants to enjoy keeping it to himself for just a little while.
"Our Buckaroo is all grown up and refusing to over share about his sex life, praise be," Chim chips in, and Buck tucks his chin to his chest and hopes his pink cheeks read as embarrassed.
His phone buzzes in his pocket, and around him lockers slam and voices drift over him. He's only got eyes for the text that just came through.
Bird's ready, suits are pressed, room is paid up. You wanna go to Adele, after? I think I know one of her people.
You know everyone, stop bragging, I'm already impressed
I'm always gonna try to impress you. You still at the station?
Yeah but not for long. I'll see you in like forty
"--right Buck?"
Buck blinks, hums, stares across at Chim.
"Please tell me you're not sexting at work right now."
"Technically, we are off the clock."
"I'll remind Clipboard Buck of that next time he shows up."
He's zipping up his bag when his phone buzzes again.
See you soon, baby.
He's pretty sure he's gonna get away with it - Hen and Chim are arguing about some reality show as they all trudge toward the open bay doors, and though he can hear their voices further back, Eddie and Bobby still seem to be deep in conversation.
Ravi comes out of left field, because of course he does, just finished inventory still clutched in his hand as he rounds the engine closest to Buck. "Hey, Buck, you and Tommy wanna catch that movie tomorrow night? I picked up a shift but I've got like twelve off in between."
Buck winces. Damn, so close. "Sorry, bud, we actually won't be in town."
Which he's realizing now is pretty uncharacteristic of the both of them, and Hen and Chim have clocked it, so he's gonna have to make a run for it, but he catches sight of raised brows and questioning expressions and he can't give them nothing.
"Tommy's taking me to Vegas, we might see Adele, okay bye!"
They absolutely let him make a break for it, let him scramble into the Jeep, let him send them all a quick wave before he peels out of his parking spot, and Buck spends the drive to Harbor viscously ignoring the steady buzzing from his phone.
---
Tommy snags the backpack from his shoulder before he's fully out the door, and tugs a belt loop to pull him close. Buck is pretty sure he'll never get over how much he likes being manhandled, just a bit.
"You wanna tell me why Chim and Hen both wished us a good flight?"
"Ravi ambushed me on my way out the door. Technically, they don't know anything about anything, except maybe Adele."
Tommy's fond smile makes Buck feel all warm and tingly inside, and he basks in the glow as Tommy nudges a knee between the open bow of Buck's legs.
Tommy's expression morphs, a bit, lips dropping as he tilts his head. "You having second thoughts? We don't have to-."
"No. No second thoughts."
"Evan, I know how close you are to your family. If you want to wait, make this something you can share with them, we can hold off."
He's so goddamn charmed by this man - by how he cares, by how well he knows Buck, by a million and one tiny things that Buck gleefully hoards his knowledge of like a dragon over his caverns of treasure.
"I kinda don't want to share you, for this." It's the first time since Tommy's brought it back up that Buck's been able to express exactly why the prospect makes him so giddy, but there it is. Possessive jealous Buck rears his ugly head again, only Tommy has always been a little charmed by that. At least when Buck expressed it in a healthy way.
"The moment they know, it's gonna be a spectacle," Tommy agrees, fingers curling over Buck's side.
"Exactly. So. Take me to Vegas and wife me up before one of them shows up trying to tag along."
He expects the dramatic eye roll, and Tommy's fingers digging into his sides. He doesn't expect the ear-ringing whistle echoing through the bay door to their left, or the smirk on Lucy Donato's face when she lets her looped thumb and pointer finger drop from her lips.
"We should definitely go before any of them remembers to hit her up for more details."
"Why would she -."
"Yeah she caught a look at the manifest and snooped until she found the rings."
"So you're actually worse at keeping a secret than I am."
"They're all gonna know before we land back home."
"Hen's gonna break like thirty bylaws trying to decorate a county owned chopper."
"Evan, seriously, we can still -."
Buck only knows one sure-fire way of stopping Tommy from spiraling too much - he uses the little bit of leverage he has plastered to the open door of his Jeep to catch Tommy's lips, and the resulting pleased hum shivers down his spine. Evan takes a moment to be pleased that Tommy hadn't shaved this morning like he'd threatened, and then he's tilting his head for a better angle and losing himself in it long enough that a few more wolf-whistles make their way across the tarmac -- Wendell and York, most likely, but when Buck finally breaks the kiss to dart a look over Tommy's shoulder, everyone has made themselves scarce.
"You gonna marry me or not, Kinard?"
It's a rare thing, but sometimes, when Buck makes him a little extra wild, Tommy does this growling thing that Buck always feels down to his toes. Tommy kisses him breathless again when Buck responds to this growl with a satisfied smirk.
---
"How much you wanna bet Hen convinces you to do a vow renewal within six months."
Buck's busy nipping at a spot of flesh just above Tommy's transverse abdominis, so it takes a second for his brain to catch up with the words.
"It's gonna be Maddie, and she's gonna rope you into it before you realize what's happening."
Tommy hums, pleased, not denying it, and runs a hand through Buck's hair, palm curling over his crown. It takes Buck a moment to figure out why it doesn't feel quite as familiar as it always does, and then he's reaching for it with a hand of his own, the tips of two fingers sliding along the smooth metal surface of Tommy's ring.
The smile he shoots up from the general area of Tommy's groin is all puppy-dog grin, and he basks in the soft, warm grin Tommy sends back. Buck tracks the crinkle of Tommy's eyes like a lifeline.
"I'm gonna lord it over everyone's head that we didn't get married because of, during, or after a health scare or a natural disaster."
"You asked me two days after we made up because of a flash flood we both thought we were gonna lose each other to, but okay."
Tommy's smile is soft. The fingers that slide around his scalp to brush reverently over his birthmark are even softer. "That time doesn't count, because we didn't follow through. You thought I was joking."
He had, honestly, at first, because they'd technically still been broken up at the time and the adrenaline and the terror at nearly losing one another had still been close. It'd taken him three days and Tommy angrily re-ringing his house key back onto Buck's keychain to realize Tommy maybe hadn't actually been joking about hopping in the chopper the next time they both had 24 off.
He's glad they'd taken the extra time, though. Glad they'd had time to drive halfway across the state in search of a ring shop they could be sure they wouldn't run into anyone at, glad they'd had the time to get new suits tailored, glad he'd had time to fuss over vows he'd still cried about while he was saying them, glad they'd done it without an Elvis impersonator standing just off to the side.
"You're stuck with me now," Buck tells him, and Buck knows Tommy's delighted bark of laughter will keep him warm for years.

Bucktommy-missing scene: 7x09-265 words
They sit back at their table, the only ones there for the moment. Chim follows them.
"So he was calling you a-" Buck says slowly as they sit down.
"Yep," Tommy says, popping the 'p.' "Thanks, Howie. You didn't have to do that."
Chimney shrugs, grabbing a piece of food off his plate and popping it into his mouth. "I wasn't sure he knew about you, but you guys aren't exactly subtle, so I thought it was better safe than sorry. Also it was safer than punching him in the face."
"Hey!" Buck protests. "I have not grabbed his ass once today, thank you very much."
"I saw you guys making out in your jeep on my way in."
Tommy snorts and Buck can feel the heat suffuse his cheeks. "Have you seen him, Chimney?"
Tommy says "Evan, for goodness sake-" and Buck shoots him a wink, glad he's managed to get that Gerrard-related look off his face.
"Not my type, Buckaroo," Chim says as he eyes Maddie talking to Athena. "But you do you."
"I will, thank you," Buck says primly. He glances at Tommy a little uncertainly because he'd like to kiss him, but he also doesn't want to put Tommy in any weird spots with Gerrard just having done what he did.
He needn't have worried. Tommy leans forward and plants a sweet kiss on his mouth.
"Ugh," Chimney fake-gags. "You guys are gross. I'm gonna go kiss my wife."
"Bye," Buck says, not taking his eyes off Tommy, who's eyeing him with an expression of affection and fondness. Buck loves that look.

Evan Buckley had always thought of himself as a pretty straightforward guy. He liked fast cars, loud music, and women. That was it. Simple. Straightforward. No complications.
So when Tommy Kinard walked into the firehouse six weeks ago, all tall, broad-shouldered, and blue-eyed, Buck’s first thought had been, Wow, that guy looks like a G.I. Joe action figure. A totally normal, dude-bro thought.
The second thought had been less normal: I wonder what it would feel like to have him look at me like that.
Buck didn’t know what “that” was, exactly, but it kept happening. Tommy would talk to him about a call, or glance his way during a basketball game, and Buck’s brain would short-circuit. The worst part? Buck couldn’t even blame adrenaline for it.
And today, it finally hit him—like a truck, like a ten-car pileup on the freeway, like Bobby’s disappointed face when Buck forgot to check the truck inventory. He wasn’t just thinking about Tommy a lot; he was thinking about Tommy a lot.
It happened mid-lunch. Hen, Chim, Eddie, and Buck were eating in the kitchen when Tommy strolled in, looking stupidly good in a plain black T-shirt and jeans. He grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge, gave everyone a casual nod, and leaned against the counter.
Buck, mid-chew on a sandwich, felt his brain betray him. God, his forearms look amazing. How is that even possible? Who has hot forearms
Hen squinted at him. “You good, Buckaroo? You’ve been chewing that sandwich for about five years.”
“Fine!” Buck practically yelled, swallowing the bite with an audible gulp.
Tommy raised an eyebrow. “Uh...okay?”
Buck fled the room, muttering something about checking the inventory.
---
“Let me get this straight,” Hen said later, cornering Buck in the locker room. “You have a crush on Tommy?”
“I—what? No!” Buck’s voice cracked, which immediately betrayed him. “I mean, no. Of course not. That’s ridiculous. I’m...straight.”
Hen crossed her arms and leaned against the lockers. “Sure you are, Buck.”
“I am!”
“Uh-huh. So that’s why you’ve been staring at Tommy like a lovesick puppy every time he breathes in your general direction?”
“I don’t—” Buck stopped. He did. Oh God, he did.
Hen smirked, clearly enjoying herself. “You know what? This is going to be fun. I can’t wait to see how you try to deny this while making a fool of yourself in front of him.”
Buck groaned, slumping against the lockers. “Hen, this isn’t funny. What if...what if he realizes?”
Hen shrugged. “Oh, he won’t. Tommy thinks you’re straight. Chim told him.”
“Chim told him?!”
“Yep.” Hen’s smirk widened. “So, uh, good luck convincing him otherwise.”
---
That night, Buck lay awake in bed, staring at the ceiling. His mind was a whirlwind of questions. Was he really into Tommy? Or was it just some weird, temporary thing?
It’s just a phase, he told himself. Like when I was obsessed with pineapple pizza for two months. That went away.
But then he remembered Tommy laughing at one of Chim’s dumb jokes earlier, the way his whole face lit up, and Buck felt his stomach do a stupid little flip.
Nope. This wasn’t a phase. This was something else entirely.
By 2 AM, Buck had spiraled so far that he found himself googling, “How to seduce a man when you’re not gay but you think you might like him?”
The results were...not helpful.
Step 1: Be confident.
Great, I’m confident. I can do this.
Step 2: Compliment him often, but not too much.
Okay, I can say nice things. Like...“Nice arms, bro.” Wait, no, that’s weird. Damn it.
Step 3: Physical touch can help build chemistry.
Right. Totally casual. Like a shoulder pat. Or...I don’t know, leaning against him during movie night? Would that be weird?
By the time his alarm went off a few hours later, Buck had decided on a plan: he was going to be subtle. Just ease into it. Maybe start with some compliments, see how Tommy reacted.
It would be fine. Totally fine.
---
It was not fine.
By 9 AM, Buck had already managed to embarrass himself twice.
First, during morning roll call, when Bobby was assigning roles for the day. Tommy volunteered for a routine inspection, and Buck, for reasons he couldn’t explain, immediately blurted out, “I’ll go with him!”
The entire team turned to stare at him.
Bobby raised an eyebrow. “I was going to assign Eddie, but...sure, Buck. If you’re that enthusiastic about fire extinguisher checks.”
Tommy just shrugged, but Hen was smirking again.
Second, during the actual inspection, Buck tried to compliment Tommy’s skills. What he meant to say was, “You’re really thorough.” What came out was, “You’re, uh...really good with your hands.”
Tommy froze, extinguisher in hand, and gave Buck the most confused look of all time.
“Thanks?” Tommy said slowly.
Buck wanted to crawl into a hole and die.
---
By lunchtime, Buck was ready to give up. He was a disaster. A walking, talking disaster. Subtlety clearly wasn’t his thing, and Tommy probably thought he’d lost his mind.
But then Tommy walked past him in the kitchen, gave him a brief, curious look, and smiled.
Buck’s heart skipped a beat.
Maybe he wasn’t as hopeless as he thought.

Just Friends: Isn't It Fun?
My warnings are not exhaustive but be aware this is a dark fic and may include potentially triggering topics. Please use your common sense when consuming content. I am not responsible for your decisions.
Character: Bucky Barnes
masterlist
Summary: You make a new friend.
It’s giving
As usual, I would appreciate any and all feedback. I’m happy to once more go on this adventure with all of you! Thank you in advance for your comments and for reblogging ❤️
You hum as you come up the walk of your building. It isn’t in the best location. In the dark, it’s scarier as a shadow overhangs the door beneath the awning. You reach into your knapsack, hanging from one shoulder, as you eke out the tune to Easy Street offkey.
As your keys jingle, a shape pops out of the bushes and you scream, throwing the keyring as you turn to sprint back down the pavement. You’re caught from behind as a familiar chuckle rolls up into the moonlit sky. You grunt and elbow Bucky as you realise the trick he’s pulled.
“Ah, why would you do that?” You wriggle until he lets you go.
You face him and try to snarl but you’re so relieved it’s just him, you can’t help but smile.
“Just having some fun. At your expense,” he chuckles and bends to pick up the keys. “Can I give you some advice, dreamy?” He raises your keys and holds them so one points between his fingers. “Keep your keys out, hold em like this and if some creep jumps out of the bushes, stab em good.”
“Stab-- Buck,” you shake your head. “I can’t do that.”
“You can if it’s life or death,” he swings the keys around to hang from his thick fingers, “here.”
“What-- what are you even doing here?”
“Huh. You didn’t let me ask my question first,” he huffs as he stands back and waves you past. “Why didn’t you tell me you were working late?”
“Well, firstly, you got lots going on,” you say. “And I didn’t think of it. I’m fine.”
“Fine, I could be a real bad guy waiting for you out here in the dark,” he taunts.
“But you’re not. So now my turn, why are you here?”
“Well, I was wandering by on my way to see a Buster Keaton marathon and thought maybe you’d be up for it...”
“Tonight? Right now?”
“I see,” he grabs the door as you opens it and holds it, “you’re too busy. Or maybe you’re too good for me.”
You enter and he follows. It’s that familiarity that you just sort of fell into with him. He’s like a wise big brother, even if he really is older than your grandpa. It’s the most unexpected bonds that are the strongest.
“No, not at all, Mr. Hero,” you climb the stairs as he stays a step behind, his hand on the railing right by yours.
“Ugh, why doesn’t this place have an elevator?” He whines.
“I thought the serum would give you extra strong legs,” you toss over your shoulder.
“Whatever.” He clucks, “so how about it? You wanna fall asleep in the theatre with me, dreamy?”
“Dream-- why do you call me that?” You head down towards your door.
“You got your head in the clouds. Also, when you watch movies, you get this look in your eyes, like you’re living on screen. Dreamy. See.” He explains.
“Mm,” you grumble.
“You don’t like it? I put up with Buckaroo.”
“That was once and it was a slip-up,” you unlock your door. “Fine, I’ll go with you since you don’t have any other friends.”
“I have friends.”
“Sure you do,” you snort and turn to give him a playful wink. You put your keys and bag down on the tall table. “You and Cap, the superfriends. Heroes and buddies til the end—whoa!”
You hit the shoe rack and stumble, landing on your ass. Bucky is quick enough to save you but he doesn’t. He watches smugly and cackles as your cheeks burn up.
“Not funny,” you pout.
“Oh, it is very funny,” he approaches and offers his hand. “How’s that humble pie taste?”
“Fine. I was being a meanie. I admit it but you got my adrenaline up. I can’t help it.”
“Ha, yeah, that was good. You shoulda seen the look on your face. And that noise you made.” He hauls you up as his vibranium thumb rubs between your knuckles. “Ayeeeee!”
“I don’t sound like that.”
“You do.” He grins. You scowl and he laughs again. “You know I love that face. The day you actually get mad at me, I’ll be down on my knees, dreamy.”
“Ugh, you are such a...” you let the sentence trail off and the dimple stays in in his cheek as he crosses his arms.
“I’m a what?”
“Nothing.”
“No, say it,” he goads.
“No.”
“Come on, I can handle it. You know, I got hit by a truck the other day, I think I can take a few words.”
“Hit by a truck? Bucky?” You squeal. “Are you okay?”
“Ah, look at me. I’m fine. Not a scratch. That you can see,” he shrugs. “So what am I? Tell me.”
“No,” you turn your nose up.
“Say it. You’ll feel better.”
“It’s... not nice.”
“Come on,” he unfolds his arms and flutters his fingers at you, “I am trained in torture.”
“No,” you grab his hands, his skin rough, “no tickles.”
“So, tell me.”
“Not fair,” you struggle to keep his hands away from your sides.
“Almost...” he wiggles his fingertips a half-inch from your middle.
“Brat! You’re a brat!” You step back, out of his reach. “Okay, and if you keep being one, you can go to the movies alone.”
He laughs and grips his hips in victory, “wow, you know, I’ve actually never got that one. Creative.”
“Right, well, I can’t sit in the theatre in this get-up,” you look down at your frilly plaid overall dress and white blouse.
“I didn’t get to mention that yet. It’s a choice, as the young ones say.”
You cringe, “it’s my work uniform.”
“Uniform?” He squints.
“Don’t, okay? I get enough guff from the customers.”
“Guff? Oh, that’s language I understand.”
“Ergh,” you stomp your foot. “You are so... so... old.”
You turn and march away. He laughs and you turn into your bedroom. He just loves to tease you and despite your efforts, he always gets to you. At least he’ll have to be quiet during the movie.

Sub!Matt HC’s
-M.S
▐ Sub!Matt who: can’t ever keep his hands to himself. No matter what you’re doing, or where you are. Not only in sex, but he’s just always got his hands on you.
▐ Sub!Matt who: acts all that— until he’s underneath you. Then he’s whimpering and whining, throwing out apologies, begging you to stop, knowing good as hell he doesn’t want you to.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Loves it when you ride him. Weather that be gentle or rough, he loves it when you bounce on him, slamming down onto his cock.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Hates to admit he’s a sub. Even though he and everyone else knows he is, he refuses to admit it.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Begs you to leave hickeys, but then pouts about it the next morning, claiming his fans would see, and his brothers would make fun of him.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Loves being bossed around. He acts like he hates it, but he loves it, and you know. That’s why you always boss him around. Telling him exactly what to do in a firm and demanding voice.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Always begs. Even when you don’t ask him to, he always does. “Please, please, please let me cum!” As if you denied him the privilege, knowing you didn’t.
▐ Sub!Matt who: is VERY vocal. He’s loud, he cries, he whines, anything to make noise. His moans are so loud, even his brothers occasionally make fun of him for it, like texting him ‘if ya gon moan at least be on top buckaroo. ur gross kid’
▐ Sub!Matt who: Tries to be punished. He likes it when you’re rough on him, but he’s scared to upright ask you, so he thinks that so long as he’s a brat, he’ll get punished- and he’s right.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Wants to please everyone. This kid takes subspace to a whole other level, wanting to accommodate to everyones’ needs, being touchy and whiny to the people he’s close with. You think it’s adorable.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Always wants to please you. You always claim he comes first, but he throws a fit and pouts. He always wants to make sure you feel good too, weather that be his cock, fingers, or mouth.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Is subconscious of cumming first. He’s not sure why, but he always insists you cum before him, no matter what.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Can’t sit still. You tie him down all the time to still his movements, but it doesn’t work. He always finds a way to jerk his hips when he’s overstimulated or needs more.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Hates to say it, but loves to be edged and overstimulated. He loves crying and withering under your touch, his body betraying his mind when he begs for more.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Always wants to go round for round. Its easier for him to say, since he’s not doing as much work as you, but the kid wants to go forever.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Always tells everyone how good his girlfriend is in bed. He never brings up the fact that he’s a sub, he just states she’s amazing and knows what she’s doing. You love it, but it can get embarrassing at times.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Acts dominant when others are around. Even going as far as grabbing your throat or slapping your ass when you don’t do as told, even though he know’s he’ll get punished for it later.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Is always needy. Watching a movie on the couch with his brothers? He’ll grind on your leg under the blanket. At a party? He’ll sit you on his lap, grinding your ass into his crotch, hiding his face in your neck. At dinner? Under the table. This man needs your touch anywhere.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Claims he hates public sex, knowing good as fuck it turns him on so fast. Trying on a new lingerie set? He gets fucked in the dressing room. Sees you in a bathing suit? He gets fucked in the water. Stressed after a meeting? Gets fucked in his car.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Loves making a mess. He hates cleaning it up, but seeing his- or your- cum all over the bed, his and your body, he loves it.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Pouts to you when Chris or Nick tease him for being a sub. ‘Ma! Tell ‘em to stop!’ He whines. ‘Matty, they were telling you to pipe down next time.’ You scold, but he whines again, shoving his body into yours.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Complains about you calling him pet names in public. “Baby, c’mon.” you urge the boy. “Hey! Shhh!” He shushes, covering your mouth with his hand. “What, hun?” You ask, pulling away from his hand. “No!” He growls, his cheeks turning red. “Matt!” You gasp.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Is so embarrassed when you compliment him. “You look very pretty today, pretty boy.” You hum in his ear, and his eyes widen and his cheeks flush red.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Has a love-hate relationship with teasing. It depends on how bad he needs you, but sometimes you take too long for his liking, causing the boy to almost cum untouched.
▐ Sub!Matt who: Secretly loves it when you drag him around. “Matt. Come.” You demand, grabbing the boy’s collar on his shirt, and he allows you to drag him around. “Stand up, Matt!” Chris jokes.

Pretty Boy - Ch 4 (Buddie x Reader)
Summary: You can feel Buck staring. When your eyes meet his, you realize he’s staring at your hand, which is still on Eddie’s knee. You slowly retreat, which makes Buck turn his attention to your face. You smile softly. He just looks out the window. The one where you’re an advanced paramedic, Buck and Eddie are firefighters, and you think you might be in love with both of them.
Ch 1 | Ch 2 | Ch 3
Chapter Summary: An earthquake hits LA, and you hold on for dear life.
A/N: You know what would be cool? If you left a comment :) Word Count: 3.9k Warnings: mentions of trauma/injury
“Alright, speed-round: if you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?” Bobby asks as he cooks breakfast.
You’re sitting at the kitchen island, nursing your second cup of coffee. Everyone’s shift started two and a half hours ago, right at 5 am. There hasn’t been a call for the 118 yet, so Bobby’s taking advantage of the opportunity.
“Fighter pilot: Topgun. Call sign: shogun,” Chim answers as he digs into his omelet.
Hen laughs.
“What about you, Hen?” You smile.
“Editorial cartoonist, The New Yorker. I have a lot to say,” she says as she sits down.
You raise your eyebrows as the men share a look.
“You draw?” Bobby asks, surprised.
“No, it's a dream. It's not supposed to be attainable,” Hen argues. She looks at you. “What would you be?”
“You know, ever since I was a kid, I loved helicopters,” you remark. “During paramedic training, I learned about flight nursing and thought that was super cool. I guess I would be a flight nurse.”
You go back to drinking your coffee, but everyone stays silent. You look up to find them staring at you.
You chuckle in confusion. “What?”
“Girl, you could go do that now if you wanted to,” Hen says.
“I can’t just decide to be a nurse,” you argue.
“You could go be a flight paramedic if you wanted to,” Bobby says. “And since you’re an advanced paramedic, you can become a nurse in like, half the normal time.”
You frown. “Seriously?”
He nods. “There are a lot of paramedic-to-RN bridge programs out there. California prefers nurses with bachelor’s degrees, but you could get your associate’s degree and go from there. You might need some hospital experience to beef up your resume, but otherwise, you’d be a shoo-in.”
Chim looks at Bobby in disbelief. “Why would you tell her all of that?”
He laughs. “What?”
“You’re gonna make her leave!” Hen exclaims. She sets her head on your shoulder. “We don’t want her to leave—we love her.”
You smile and pat Hen’s shoulder. “I’m not leaving. I love what I do right now, and I love the people I do it with. That’s why it’s just a dream.”
It’s true: you love what you do… most of the time. When you don’t love it, you really fucking hate it. But that’s anywhere. You should just count your blessings, cut your losses, or whatever the expression is.
Buck joins you all, grabbing an apple from the bowl between you and Hen.
“Buckaroo, If you were not a member of the LAFD, what would you be doing?” Chim asks.
“Uh, I don’t know,” Buck frowns as he sits beside you. “I’m not getting fired, am I?”
Bobby gives him a look of contemplation that makes you snort.
Chim casually takes another bite. “That’s inevitable.”
“He’d be a golden retriever,” Hen chimes in.
“No, a bartender,” Chim says. “No, no, a bouncer at a bar.”
“A bouncer at a strip club,” you correct him.
Chim and Hen high-five each other, then you. You turn to your side. Buck has a small smile on his face, but you can tell something is eating at him.
“What’s going on, Pretty Boy?” you ask. When he meets your gaze, you offer (what you hope is) an encouraging smile.
“Traffic sucks in this town unless you're driving ten tons of engine with sirens,” Buck says. “It took me almost two hours to get from my place to the call center downtown, then back over here. I told Maddie she needs to start Ubering.”
You frown at the mention of ‘Maddie,’ a name you haven’t heard before. Does Buck have a girlfriend? And they’re already living together? Something about that doesn’t sit right with you. It feels like a piece of lead took residence in your stomach, and the space between your lungs and ribs got slightly smaller.
“Maddie?” You ask, trying to sound neutral.
“My sister,” Buck clarifies.
The lead in your stomach evaporates. “Oh. I didn’t know you had a sister. She’s living with you?”
“For now, until she finds a place of her own,” Buck nods.
You nod as well. “How are things going?”
“Well, she’s a Buckley, so she’s practically running the place,” Buck says.
Bobby offers him a plate, which he accepts. He stands up to go to the table, and on his way over, he pats your shoulder twice. When he’s out of sight, Hen cocks her head and raises an eyebrow.
“What?” You ask her, deadpan.
“‘Maddie’?” she repeats, mocking how you said her name.
“It was a question.”
“You sounded like a jealous girlfriend,” Hen laughs.
“I’m not jealous, and I’m definitely not his girlfriend.”
“Doesn’t mean you couldn’t be,” Hen says in a sing-song voice as she stands.
“Yeah, you better run,” you threaten playfully as she approaches the table.
She flips you the bird, and you laugh loudly.
The first call of the shift is to a building affected by an earthquake. It sounds like the scene already has plenty of paramedics, so for the first time in a long time, you’re in firefighter gear and will be helping pull victims from the site. It’s not your favorite thing to do all the time—that’s what the rescue team is for. Every once in a while isn’t bad, though. It gets your blood pumping like paramedicine does; you only tend to use your muscles more than your brain. It’s also fun to sit in an engine instead of the rig for a change.
Eddie is next to you, and since getting on, he hasn’t looked up from his phone. His brow is furrowed, and his forehead is already shining with sweat.
You lean over, knowing you’ll still have to yell for him to hear you over the engine and sirens. “Everything okay?”
He looks at you, then back at his phone. “Yeah, no service. Texts won’t even get through.”
He’s pissed, and you have no clue why.
“Okay,” you say slowly. “Who are you trying to get a hold of?”
Eddie stares at you momentarily, then looks around the engine at the other passengers.
“My son,” he eventually explains. “I’m trying to reach my son.”
“Woah, you got a kid?!” Buck exclaims.
“Christopher,” Eddie says, pulling up a picture on his phone. He shows you, then Buck. “He’s seven.”
“He looks like a sweet kid,” you say.
“Yeah, he’s super adorable,” Buck agrees. “I uh, I love kids.”
“I love this one,” Eddie says quietly. “I’m all he’s got. His mother’s not in the picture.”
“He’s at school right now?” You ask, tilting your head.
Eddie nods.
“I’m sure he’s fine,” you say, patting his knee reassuringly.
Eddie glances from your hand to your face. He nods slightly and gives you a closed-mouth smile. He wants to believe you, but his parental instincts tell him not to. You get it. No one but Chris can quell that anxiety.
You can feel Buck staring. When your eyes meet his, you realize he’s staring at your hand, which is still on Eddie’s knee. You slowly retreat, which makes Buck turn his attention to your face. You smile softly. He just looks out the window.
The damaged building is one of the craziest things you’ve seen in a long time. It’s on the corner, leaning out over the street below. All of the buildings around it look fine on the outside. It truly looks like something from an apocalyptic movie.
“You guys ever deal with anything like this before?” Eddie asks once you’re all standing on the sidewalk.
Bobby shakes his head, still staring up at the building. “Nope.”
A cop is escorting a couple down the sidewalk. They’re fighting her to go back.
“You have to let me back in there, my baby is in there!” The woman screams.
“Please, our daughter is still inside!” The man protests as an officer pushes him back. “She’s eight years old! Her name is Kat!”
Your stomach is in knots. This is why you don’t like working rescue. As a paramedic, you don’t know what you’re walking into. When you work search and rescue, you know what you’ll find; you just might not like it.
You follow your team as Bobby looks for the Incident Commander. You begin walking through a makeshift medical bay, and you can see that they’ve already implemented disaster protocol triage. Each patient is wearing a tag with their assigned triage color. Green means stable, yellow means a serious injury but not an emergency, red means an immediate threat to life, and black indicates death or injuries incompatible with life. You mostly see green and yellow, which is a good sign.
You overhear some of what Chief Williams, the Incident Commander, and Bobby are discussing. Essentially, the building is on a fault line, and the only thing keeping it upright is some steel, so one aftershock and the whole thing could come down.
Bobby faces you all. “Okay, listen up: Here's how you make it to the end of the day. You don't worry about the things that you can't do anything about. Focus on one task at a time. I can't order you guys to go inside that building, and I'm not gonna judge you if you decide not to.”
“Where do you want us?” Is the first thing Eddie asks.
Bobby is pulled to help with triage, while Chim and Hen see a woman on the 11th floor needing rescue. This left you with Eddie and Buck by default, who are tasked with sweeping the ground floor in search of any survivors or rescue teams that may need additional assistance.
You find some bodies that you leave black tags on and spray paint an ‘x’ on a landmark near them. You aren’t entirely sure you believe in god, but just in case, you also send a prayer.
“How does it feel to be in on the action for once?” Buck asks with a grin. “Ya know, instead of standing outside waiting like you normally do.”
“So far? I’m not loving it,” you retort, ducking under a massive piece of concrete.
A firefighter from a different crew approaches you, a victim in tow.
“Need any help?” Eddie asks.
“All good,” The firefighter replies. “There’s a kid maybe 50 feet back, he needs EMTs. Bad.”
“Is it a little girl?” you ask, thinking of Kat. Honestly, you aren’t sure what you want the answer to be.
“No, an African American teenager,” he clarifies.
“Fire and Rescue, hello?!” Buck shouts.
“Right here!” A voice shouts back. “Thank god, man, he’s stuck!”
The three of you have to crawl across a beam to get to him. You’re the last one to make it across, and Buck hands you your bag once you do. You give him a single nod, which he returns.
“What’s your name, kiddo?” You ask with a smile as you approach the victim.
A man is holding one of his hands, and the other is cradling his head. He doesn’t appear to be his father, but you can tell they know each other somehow. You can see why: his injury is brutal. His left leg is trapped under a massive concrete support beam, one that normally goes from the ceiling to the floor.
“Jeff,” he answers shakily.
“You already try and move some debris, see if you can pull him free?” Eddie asks as he gets a set of vitals.
“The second we touched the beam, everything above started shifting,” the man responds.
Buck stares up. “Yeah, that’s what I was afraid of. It looks like this debris is holding up this section of the ceiling. If we try to pull it out of the way, this whole area could cave in.”
“My friend Eddie and I are gonna stablize your neck, okay Jeff?” You say as you get the c-collar out of your pack.
Eddie holds C-spine as you slide the collar around Jeff’s neck.
“I-I can’t move it, coach,” Jeff says. “How bad is it?”
“Hey, bones heal, alright?” His coach replies.
“Sir, this firefighter is gonna lead you out of here,” Buck interrupts.
“No, screw that, I’m staying, alright? This kid is a son to me.”
“Okay, we need to focus all of our attention on Jeff right now. We can't be worried about your safety, too,” Buck insists. “Now go.”
A sense of pride swells in your heart. Buck is taking charge of the situation, similar to how Bobby would. Sometimes, you can hardly believe this is the same guy who got fired for not respecting the job.
Buck approaches you. “What’ve we got?”
“Crushed tibia and fibula,” you answer. “Looks like it missed any major arteries.”
“Alright, Pretty Boy, what do you think?”
Both Buck and Eddie begin talking. They frown and glance at each other, then at you.
Your cheeks burn a little. “Um, Buck is Pretty Boy.”
Buck gives a little shit-eating grin.
“Huh, sounds like there’s a story there,” Eddie notes.
The three of you are standing in a small circle, out of earshot from Jeff. You’re trying to decide what the next step is, and the boys have considered every option… except yours.
“What if we try chipping away at the debris, try to make headway,” Eddie suggests.
“Are you crazy? The entire goddamn building could come crashing down us,” you argue. “I don’t know why we’re even discussing this. There’s one option: we get a trauma surgeon in here, and Jeff loses his leg instead of his life.”
“Basketball is his life,” Buck says. His arms are folded across his chest, and he sways back and forth a little as he thinks.
“Yeah, Well, it isn’t just his life at stake,” you retort. “We’re here too, and call me selfish, but I don’t want to die so a kid can play with a ball. That’s also assuming, by the way, that his leg is even salvageable when all is said and done. And it might not be.”
“You don’t know that it isn’t,” Eddie shrugged. “We have to at least try, right?”
“Okay, I know you boys are super into the whole ‘badass, lifesaving, run-into-danger’ firefighter thing, but we have to be realistic. This isn’t just Jeff we’re talking about. Hell, this isn’t just about the four of us. It’s about everyone above us, too: Hen, Chim, and god knows how many other firefighters and survivors. Risking all of their lives for one person isn’t heroic—it’s stupid.”
“What about an airbag?” Buck says to Eddie. “We shore up this pocket we're in. get an air bag to lift up the beam that’s pinning him down.”
Eddie nods thoughtfully. “Yeah, that could work.”
You tap your mouth like it’s a microphone. “Is this thing on?”
Buck sighs. “Look, we can’t just—”
“I can hear you, you know,” Jeff interrupts your conversation. “Shouldn’t I get a vote?”
You look at Jeff, then back at your coworkers. Without saying anything, you all move back over to Jeff, surrounding him in a formation similar to before.
“Jeff, what do you want to to do?” You ask, gently taking his hand.
He squeezes your hand. “I may be able to live without my leg, but I don’t know if I can live knowing I could have saved it, but didn’t.”
You smile and nod. You look to Buck and Eddie. “Then we try the airbags.”
“Alright, Jeff, you ready?” Buck asks.
Buck is at Jeff’s shoulders, Eddie is at his hip, and you’re crouched at his feet. Buck and Eddie will move Jeff once the airbag deploys, and it’s your job to make sure he’s clear.
Jeff nods. “Yeah, but if things go wrong, leave me and save yourselves. This is my choice to try this.”
“Eh, I kind of like you, so now you’re stuck with me,” you joke. You get at least a chuckle out of everyone. “All four of us are getting out of here.”
“That’s right,” Eddie agrees, “with all 8 legs.”
Buck leans in a little closer to Jeff. “Now, Jeff, she gave you some morphine, but once we move you, it’s gonna hurt like hell. You ready?”
Jeff agrees, quietly at first but then loudly. “Yeah. Yeah, Yeah. Yeah, come on, we’re the champs.”
You smile and can almost taste how bittersweet the expression is. Buck and Eddie quickly catch on and begin agreeing.
“Yeah, we’re the champions!” Buck shouts.
“We got this! Yeah, we got this!” Eddie yells.
Eventually, the three of them just yell in similar octaves. They sound like a bunch of little boys excited to play a game. You have to blink a few times, holding back tears.
Buck counts down, then turns a nozzle to deploy the airbag. You can hear some cracking sounds but feel no slack on Jeff’s leg.
“Anything?!” Buck shouts.
“A little more!” Eddie shouts back.
Debris begins to fall on your shoulders, and you can feel the surface below you shaking.
“Come, come on, come on—”
Jeff’s leg is suddenly free enough, and you and Eddie pull him to the side.
In seconds, the three of you have him on the backboard, splinted, and ready for transport. Each of you is singing your praises to Jeff, encouraging him, and assuring him he did a good job. The boys get him onto the platform your team crawled in on. The boys are doing the heavy lifting, so you let them go first.
As you start to slide across the beam, you catch something in the corner of your eye. It’s a pink and purple sneaker, likely a child’s.
“Kat?” you shout, digging for your flashlight. “Kat?!”
After getting Jeff out, you confirm that Kat was wearing pink and purple shoes, which means she’s stuck somewhere in the building. The three of you return to the building with additional firefighters, all calling out Kat’s name.
An aftershock begins. Everything around you begins shaking, and you can feel the ground start to give. It makes your stomach do a few backflips. There’s a massive shift below you, and before you even realize it’s happening, you’re falling between two segments. For a moment, you hear Eddie and Buck call your name. Then, all you can hear is the world falling on top of you.
Eventually, everything becomes still. You reach for your radio, trying to get unpinned from whatever came crashing down on you. “Buck?! Eddie?!”
You can’t explain it, but you can feel you’re in a different spot. The air didn’t just get colder; it’s like the actual pressure of the atmosphere shifted.
You find there’s some slack above your legs, so you begin kicking. “Is anyone down here?!”
“Hey,” a gravely voice calls out.
You grunt a few times as you pry and pull yourself from the rubble. When you break free, you see a trapped firefighter a few feet away. His legs are completely obstructed, and he’s pressed flat on his back.
“Hey, 221, right?” you say, opening your medi bag. “We ran into some of your boys earlier. I’m 118.”
“Russ, 221,” he confirms.
“Russ, where’s your radio?” You ask as you look around. “Mine’s toast.”
“I don’t have one,” he rasps out, “all radios were issued out. It’s not my shift?”
You feel a pull on your heartstrings. “ Oh my god, you came in on your day off, Russ?”
“Eh, I had nothing better to do,” He jokes with a weak laugh.
You begin looking around and think of various ways to free Russ. You first try pushing the debris away, which proves unsuccessful. You then try pulling Russ out, and when that doesn’t work, you try using your fire axe as a jack.
“There’s gotta be an actual jack in one of these cars,” you say, swinging your head around as you try to locate the nearest vehicle.
“Don’t waste your strength or your time,” Russ protests.
“Enough of that, Russ,” you gently scold. “We’re both getting out of here, okay?”
“I’m not. Fractured pelvis, flail chest... Even I couldn't save me, and... you don't know me, but I'm good.”
“Yeah? Well maybe I’m better,” You argue, finding a nearby car door. You open it. “Hang in there.”
“I’m not gonna make it,” Russ coughs. You rush to his side, and it looks like he’s spitting up blood. “Help's not coming. Not in time, anyway. So, please, my kit. The morphine. Give me a bolus.” He coughs and moans a little. “Oh, make it three.”
“I'll give you one, just to keep you comfortable, but we're not giving up, okay?” You say as you begin rifling through your bag.
“Are you married?” Russ asks.
You shake your head. “Haven’t gotten around to it.”
“Well, I was,” Russ explains. “She was always worrying that I wouldn't... make it back home to see her. Decided maybe it's better if I just stopped coming home altogether. I think maybe she was... onto something.”
You’re drawing up the last little bit of morphine when Russ goes quiet. You drop the syringe and shake his shoulders. “Russ?! Russ!”
You put your fingers to his neck, but you know you aren’t going to find a pulse. His eyes are already glazed over, his face totally relaxed.
You throw the syringe of morphine as hard as you can, curling up into a ball. “Dammit.”
You stay like that for a while, probably longer than you should. A few silent tears stream down your face. You eventually wipe away your tears, close Russ’s eyes, and continue forward.
You go for as long as you can, but the air gets so thin that it becomes hard to breathe. At some point, you stumble to your feet, leaning back against some rubble behind you. You take in a few deep breaths, and you exhale them as sobs.
Wiping at your eyes again, you reach for your phone. It’s something you never wanted to do, but it feels like the right decision. When you find your phone, you click into the voice memo app.
“Hey, Bobby,” you say, letting out a cough. “I’m sorry you have to hear them this way, but you deserve some last words from me, so here I go: working with you has been the greatest pleasure of my life.”
You record one for each of your co-workers, your family members.
“Chim, I always thought of you as a mentor…”
“Hen, your friendship has meant the absolute world to me…”
“Eddie, I haven’t known you for long, but I’m glad I got to meet you…”
“Pretty Boy,” you laugh, then cough again. “Evan Buckley… where do I even start with you? I’m not gonna lie: I really didn’t like you when we first met. And that’s funny, because now, you’re probably one of the most important people in my life. You definitely proved me wrong, man: you were good. You are good. And you have to keep being good, okay? I might not be there to see it anymore, but you should still do it. Do it for the both of us, will ya?”
A few tears fall from your face as you end the recording. You take a few deep breaths before marching onward.

After a good shift, with an appearance on the news. The 118 decided to celebrate the hard day and once again saving those who needed your help.
So here you all are, you, dressed in a black dress. Revealing the small delicate slime tattoo on your back. With black heels. Sleek and casual for a bar. Not over or under doing it. It was a nicer bar that you all usually go to. So you all dressed a little fancier, not by much.
You sat with the team, a beer bottle in hand. You were in a conversation with Hen when you both hear Buck next to you “arh shit… she’s here…” you turned to look at him “who?” He answered “Taylor… we broke up a month ago, and here she is… waltzing in here… what are the odds?”
Hen joke “for you? Low… very low..” you both chuckled. Buck nudged your shoulder playfully “hey don’t agree with her!” Causing you to laugh more. Which that’s exactly what he intended.
He sipped his drink, then glanced to you. “So? How about a game of pool? I see one of the tables free?” You looked over and smiled. That’s what you’d do in your spare time at the station. Playing pool. You nodded “oh it’s on, Buckaroo!”
You placed your beer bottle on the table before getting up and heading over to the table.
Buck started to set up the balls in the plastic triangle. As you grab the cue sticks. You held one out to him. Feeling eyes on you, not in a good way…
You noticed Taylor’s eyes glued to you. You talked to Buck “she always like this?” Buck raised an eyebrow “like what?” You replied “her eyes haven’t left me since we started to set up pool, Buck..” he chuckled “oh she thinks we both have it for each other. That’s why she’d never let me go over your place for movie night while we were dating…” you gasped “that’s why?!” You were pissed. Controlling what Buck does?? That’s not on. At. All.
You broke the triangle of balls, then stand off the to side to let Buck have his go. The two of you went back and forth, taking turns.
Taylor never shifted her gaze since you started playing. You huffed, Buck joked “not gettin’ bored already? Thought you liked playing this?” You replied “I do, but not when she doesn’t take her eyes off of me. It’s borderline creepy, Buck…”
He hummed in agreement, “I got an idea…”
“Oh yeah?” “Yeah…”
He gestured you to come closer, you and Buck were close. Really close, that’s probably why Taylor was jealous. But everyone on the team knew you two didn’t see each other that way… not yet at least.
He whispered in your ear, “lemme pretend to show you how to hit a shot, then I’ll peck your cheek, yeah?” His voice a little more rasped at the lowering of his voice.
You smirked “oh it’s on…” you walk around the table a few times. Trying to find the right ball to try and pot. Your acting skills, flawless. Buck spoke “hey, lemme show you a trick…” he came up behind you.
You both lean over to pool table. The team subtly watching. Eddie and Chimney lapping this up like two school girls. Hen and Bobby rolling their eyes, knowing this is how you two are.
Buck whispered “lemme count to three, then I’ll kiss your cheek, okay?” You nodded. Then looked to the pool table again.
“Three… two… one…”
He helped you hit the cue to the ball. Then once it potted. He smiled then kissed your cheek “good job, Y/n/n!” You smiled. Then look to Taylor. She looked jealous. But not enough for your liking. She treated Buck wrong. Let’s show her how to treat him right.
You closed the gap between you to. Kissing him softly. Two seconds it took for him to acknowledge what was going on. Then he kissed back. More fiery than the kiss you just gave. But you happily matched his intention.
He held your jaw gently. His big hand holding your jaw like you’d melt away if he didn’t hold it. In the background you can hear Eddie whistle and Chimney clapping. You peak out of your one eye to see Taylor.
It was like someone had shot someone in front of her. The shock and rage sent through her, definitely showing through her facial expressions. You smirked and mumbled into the kiss “it’s working..” Buck smirked too “good, let’s keep going though…”
In the end Taylor downed her drink, storming out of the bar. Once Bobby saw she left. He went to call out to you both.
You both kept kissing, that’s until you hear Bobby “alright you pair. step away or get a room!” You both laugh as you pull away.
Buck joked “think the room is sounding like a good idea right now…” you smirked “me too, Buck… me too…”
Eddie said a little too loud “I win! Hand over the money Chim!”
You both look over “what?!” Chimney casually spoke “oh we were betting on this, see how long it took for you too to finally do something…”
You playfully roll your eyes “thanks, Team..”
