OKOKOK!!! there are. a ridiculously infinite number of directions i could go with this so i think the real challenge will be picking Only 5. but dw i’ll add more later so u can listen!!
ok cannot express how sorry i am to start off so Unbelievably Strong bc i know this song is probably like. a straight up slap in the face😭 BUT ok listen listen i found this on my gifted kid burnout playlist while i was combing thru songs for other people and i immediately wrote it down for later bc i was like. wow this is actually the most moon coded song i’ve ever heard in my entire life. obv i won’t explain the lyrics bc i don’t want to put u on blast but i feel like this reminds me SO much of ur internal monologue or just like. the things u say abt urself (not that i agree OBVIOUSLYYYY) . also the other thing abt this is that it is rlly upbeat & pleasant to listen to while the lyrics are actually so deep and tender and. aching almost? i just feel like this is you in a song. so sorry again hope u don’t hate me after this & i promise they will not all be like this ok😭 but. anyway moving on!🙂
ok well obv the title means moon but also i think this is just so gentle & poetic!! i do associate u w/ poetry very much for many reasons so honestly that’s all i’ve got for this one😙
i associate u w/ mitski so insanely much & this is the one i think of the most for some reason? i think it was on a fic playlist and i probably looped it a gazillion times while i was writing a comment or something. but yes u are so mitski coded as u have told me many times, and i had to have at least one on here!!
this is another one that ALWAYSSS makes me think of u, specifically bc of when u pointed out the way he says that One Line and now i can never unhear it. also bc u love the 1975. and also this song is so fun just like u and u sure are Way Out!
omg this one too!!! i associate this so specifically with ur fics & it is just so upbeat & fun and it just reminds me of calling u & being super happy bc u always cheer me up🫂
ok!! that was actually much much harder than i thought it would be so. dw i’ll add songs to the playlist bc i have so many but!! hopefully u like these ones :) ofc most of them u recommended to me so hopefully that’s not cheating😭 also i feel like there should be a bts song on here but. i was too tired to pick one sorryyy! love u sm🫂💗

Can I request Zhu yuan and Jane doe (separately) confessing their feelings to gn reader
hmmmm. i think i seen you around somewhere with this request but okay! | cw: non. gn! reader
↳ from the start
“ so, are you not going to ask them out for dinner before this shift ends, ZHU YUAN? “ qingyi queries, sipping from her hot cup of tea. the aforementioned woman fiddles with the vase of roses in her hands, leaning on the edge of the table with a nervous expression on her face. “ i-i will. i-it’s just. .will they reject me? o-or is it even the right time to ask—“
qingyi sighs, shaking her head. “ clear your mind. it isn’t good to overthink. perhaps it’s best to ask them now so you won’t have to worry about it later. besides, it’s a very low chance they’ll reject you because of how they act around you. “
zhu yuan gives her senior officer a puzzled look. “ b-because of how they act? what do you mean? “
the android finishes her cup of tea. “ you can’t see it? they act considerably kinder to you than others. they smile more when they talk to you, the way they look at you with such warmth is admittedly adorable. “ zhu yuan’s cheeks turn a darker red as she thinks about the times you and her interact with each other during break periods and patrol hours. honestly, she thought you were naturally like that to everyone; a caring and kind person. your words—your voice leave her heart a beating mess. the way you’d check up on her during and after busy days with a gentle smile on your face inspires her to do better; to be better. gosh, she always thought your smiles were breathtaking, the way your eyes would crinkle and sparkle as your lips spread never fails to make her knees weak.
unbeknownst to zhu yuan, qingyi had already left the break room while she was in deep thought and you walked in through the door. “ oh captain zhu yuan! you’re still here? “
she jumps upon hearing your voice, snapping out of her trance. “ y-yes, i was just waiting for you. “ zhu yuan stutters, facing you as you walk over to her with that patient smile of yours. you glance down at the vase full of red and white roses in her hands and back up at her.
“ oh? did someone give those to you? how—“
“ a-actually, these are for you! “ zhu yuan shyly hands you the vase, cheeks flushed red. you blink several times at the roses held in front of you before taking them. “ captain zhu yuan, th-thank you. but what’s the occasion? “
zhu yuan shifts her weight on the other foot as she nervously fiddles around. she takes a deep breath, clasps her hands around her back.
“ i-i like you—a-a lot actually. i-i really admire how wonderful you are as a person. pl-please, grant me permission t-to t-take you out to dinner tomorrow at 8:00pm! “ she stammers, the tips of her ears red and eyes squeezed shut. if you do reject her, she doesn’t want to see your face or she might burst out from anxiety.
“ i would love to go out to dinner with you captain zhu yuan. i’m interested in you myself, haha! “ you laughed shyly, rubbing the back of your neck. those ruby eyes of hers snaps open and an adorable, surprised expression sinks into her face.
“ r-really? “
“ yeah, captain. you’re wonderful yourself, and gorgeous too. “
a embarrassed noise leaves zhu yuan’s throat. her flustered gaze flickers to somewhere else before back at you. she clears her throat with a happy smile on her face. “ th-thank you, but please—it’s just zhu yuan. i don’t want any formalities between us. “
you reciprocate her smile with a bright one, causing her heart to skip several beats. “ you got it, zuzu. make sure to tell me more about where you’re thinking about taking us. “
“ z-zuzu? “
“ what, you don’t like the nickname? “
“ i d-do! it’s just— i have never been called that before. b-but it’s fitting coming from you. “
you let out a soft laugh, reaching your hand out to affectionately poke her nose. “ that’s good to hear. well, i’ll see you later zuzu. text me tonight, yeah? “
she shyly waves as you walk out of the break room with the gifted vase of roses. “ i-i will! a-also, adding sugar water to the roses will make them last longer and fresher! pl-please return home safe, a-and look both ways before crossing the street! “
“ i drive, but thanks! “
of courseee.
zhu yuan mentally facepalms herself but is nonetheless happy with the outcome of her confession. her phone rings in her pocket and she’s quick to answer it.
“ hi mom, i’m coming home now! do you need anything from the store? “ she asks, her voice an octave higher than usual.
“ i-i sound happy? y-yeah, it went well, mom. .” zhu yuan mutters, smiling stupidly to herself as she ambles out of the break room and her way out of the building.
“ m-meet them? n-not yet! it’s way too soon and i’m just taking them out for dinner tomorrow night too. .”
JANE DOE walks down sixth street, her fingers loosely hooked around her hanging straps. the chilly wispy night air kisses her sensitive ears, provoking occasional twitches from them. although she’s only walking through sixth street to get back home, her ears perk up at a familiar voice in the distance.
“ mr. chop, let me order a bowl of green pepper chicken noodles—the regular! i need something to warm me up since the fall air is kicking in! “
she subconsciously smile softly at the sound of your voice. her sharp teal eyes skim over to the waterfall soup shop not too far ahead of her. jane can make out your figure sitting on one of the chairs. her gaze softens; she’s very lucky to catch you around here this time of night. the way you talk to the owner makes it seem like you’re a regular around here. interesting note to pin in the back of her mind. jane saunters over to the shop, your figure becomes clearer and clearer as she approaches.
“ i didn’t think i’d get to see you around this neighborhood, (name). “ jane speaks up as she slides onto a empty chair beside you.
“ oh, jane! “ you offer her a sweet smile she oh so adores. “ i didn’t think i’d get to see you here either! how did everything go with the informant? “
the rat thiren sighs, running a thumb over her red nails as she examined them briefly. “ it went alright. i’m suppose to meet back with them tomorrow for more information about the case. what a hassle. “
you laugh bubbly, “ that certainly is a hassle having to meet with them twice. since you’re here, you have time to eat noodles with me, right? “
her gaze softens even more at the hopeful tone in your voice and the tender look marinating in those brilliant (e/c) eyes of yours. how could she refuse you? you’re just what she needed after a tedious day of running around prepping for an upcoming operation.
“ of course. i was on my way back to my home, and i was just about hungry anyways. “
you nodded, “ so what do you want to order, janey? “
her tail swish with delight from the cute nickname you’ve given her. it’s a shame that she hasn’t given you her real name yet but that’ll change soon in the future. you’re aware that jane has a secret identity, but you don’t seem to care at all and treat her as if she’s a close friend. your guard is always down around her—your body language is relaxed, there’s no skeptical look in your eyes, none of that at all. you’re so genuine with her that she can’t help but fall for you. you’re her first real friend she’s had in years but she grew to wanting something more than that with you. she knows what she likes so there’s no point in denying her feelings for you, right?
jane hums thoughtfully, “ hm, that’s a good question. what do you recommend? “
“ vegetable noodles for you. i’m sure you’ll love it. “
she chuckles, “ oh, really? i’ll take that then. “
you ordered it for her and a soft comforting silence settles in between you and jane as you wait for the food. jane’s observant gaze wanders off to you every now and then, admiring the softness of your face, the way the light perfectly bounces off your skin—do you know that you look memorizing like this right now? she feels like a little lovesick high school girl around her crush. how embarrassing.
“ sorry to break the silence, but, can i ask you a question, (name)? “
“ mhm? “
“ do you trust me as a person? “
you look at your colleague like she has two heads. “ huh, what’s that about? “
“ because you don’t really know much about me or my actual identity, yet you act like we’ve knew each other longer than we actually have. for all you know, i could just be a weirdo waiting for the perfect strike to tear you down. “ as if she would ever hurt you. no matter what disguise she’s in, she wouldn’t dare to lay a finger on you.
you still have that weird, adorable look on your face. “ oh please jane, don’t call yourself a weirdo. but you’re right, i don’t know much about you. however, you have your reasons for keeping your identity secret which is understandable, you’re a criminology specialist. if i was that, i would want to keep my identity secret too to avoid any mishaps with going undercover— thank you, “ you give mr. chop quick smile as he places the ordered bowls down in front of you and jane.
“ anyways, just because you have excellent skills of messing with people and deceiving them for the sake of your job doesn’t translate to how you actually are as a person. i seen how you care and worry for other people in your own little ways. seth told me about all the odd things you did throughout his time being a hostage and how it all added up once he realized you were one of us. when i saw you during that ambush and found out that the mountain lions took him and the hostages. i wasn’t really worried because you were there. I’m starting to ramble so to cut things short, no matter what type of person you are, i’ll always put my trust in you. you’re a good person and i find your presence welcoming. “ you smiled warmly at her before starting on your bowl of noodles.
jane’s utterly taken back by your answer. butterflies flutter around in her stomach like the first week of spring. she expected you to answer kindly to her question but not sentimental like that. her tail sways a little faster than usual and her pupils would resemble heart shapes right now if such a thing was possible. cheeks unusually red, she quietly focuses her attention on eating her noodles. just as you figured earlier, the noodles tastes appetizing.it’s smooth and well done. the chicken broth isn’t really salty and has a rich taste to it. the liquid is warm and easy as it goes down her throat, heating up her cool body temperature. the veggies were nice and crisp. her sore bones softens, the weight of today’s labor eases off of her.
“ this is really what i needed, right janey? “ you giggled, looking over at the woman beside you who’s a little too quiet while she eats.
“ mhm, thank you for recommending this to me. “
after you and jane finished your noodles, you paid for the meals and stood outside of the shop. “ wow, i feel full and tired. i’m definitely going to be sleeping good tonight. thank you for eating with me, i really appreciate it. “ you shove your hands in your pockets, smiling tenderly at her. the love-stricken woman nods her head, tenderness evident on her face as she looks at you. “ no need to thank me, i would of stayed whether you asked me or not. but before we part ways for the night, let me tell you what i’ve been meaning to get off my chest. i may not act like it but, i’m not really good with telling others how i feel so i’ll try to convey them as simple as i can. “ she says awkwardly, her hooked fingers playing around with her hanging straps.
her teal eyes glimmer with devotion as she takes a step closer to you, unhooking one of her fingers to place a delicate hand on your shoulder. “ although we started off as simple colleagues, our connection grew stronger the more i learned about you. the way you don’t hide your emotions is admirable, your eyes doesn’t hold an ounce of darkness behind them; they’re clear as a sunny day and i can’t help but feel drawn to them. .i feel at ease and warm. your presence is the same way. you’re so honest, thoughtful—your genuine nature pulled me in like a magnet. i love you and i wish for us to grow even closer. i promise i’ll tell you everything that you want to know about me if you’ll have me, of course. “ like that, jane leans in and softly kissed the corner of your parted lips.
she retracts away, peering at you patiently as you thoroughly process her confession. your face increasingly turns red every second until you resemble a bright red apple. once jane sees the awe in your eyes and the jubilant smile dancing across your pretty lips, she’s the happiest she’s ever been in a while. you wrap your arms around her and pull her tall frame against yours.
“ of course, i’ll have you. i love you too after all. “ you mutter softly, burying your face into her grey bomber jacket. she laughs breathily, circling her arms around your body, and perched her chin on your shoulder. her ears jiggles in response to your pleasant confession. her long tail curls around your leg as you continue to hug each other under the soft glows of sixth street.
a noisy bangboo in the distance: “ ehaa nu tha! ( i wish i had something like that in my life! )“

Falling for you - Part 2
summary: part 2 of falling for you, where reader falls into the rottmnt world and comes across the turtle brothers.
relationship: Rise Leo x gn!reader
warnings: none!
word count: 1.7k
A/N: did i totally forget about posting the second part to this? perhaps. did a recent comment remind me of it? could be. was i delighted to find a practically finished version of this in my wips, almost ready to post? absolutely. sorry for the wait, hope you like it!
Navigation: Part 1 | Part 2 (you're here)
(english is not my first language. constructive criticism and grammar corrections are very appreciated!)
— — —
Climbing out of bed, Leo silently made his way to the projector room only to find an empty couch.
You were gone without a trace.
Or so he thought.
Turns out, you had gone to the kitchen to get something to drink. You were way too shaken up to sleep after what you pulled. The confession had all kinds of feelings and thoughts going through you, confusing you further.
Leo saw you as you came back into the projector room. You were startled at his presence, almost dropping your glass.
The words from earlier echo in your head: “You are loved. You are worthy. You are a good leader. You are a good brother. And if I am still here tomorrow, and the next day, and the next… I wish for nothing more than to be by your side.” That’s what you had told him. To the turtle, you were a complete stranger. Ugh, you thought, as you tried to will away the embarrassment from your face that was resulting in a weird blush.
“You’re awake,” you said after clearing your throat. Leo didn’t answer immediately, and a slight panic started settling in you.
“Yeah, I’m- I’m just…” he stumbled over his words. “I also came to get a drink.”
“Couldn’t sleep?” you asked.
“Uh-huh…”
An uncomfortable silence settled between you two.
“I heard what you said earlier,” Leo started, and you let out something between a sigh and a snort. With a shaky breath, you approached the couch which was your bed for the night, sitting down.
This is what I get for being so worked up over blorbo feelings, you thought bitterly. Why couldn’t I just keep my mouth shut?!
“Can I…?” Leo asked as he stood by the couch.
“Yeah,” you said as you patted the spot next to you.
After he sat down, you just sit there in silence for a moment as you sipped your water, then set down the glass on the little side table.
“I’m guessing you want an explanation, huh,” you decided to start.
“Yeah, uh, what you said was very… specific,” he replied with narrowed eyes.
“Gosh, how do I explain it,” you said, more to yourself than him. “So, uhm…”
You closed your eyes to think of a feasible story, cutting out certain points here and there until you landed on something decent.
“Let’s put it like this,” you started explaining. “I come from a place far away, and I've known about you and your brothers for a long time.”
Leo thought it over for a moment.
“So you’re like, from the future?”
“Something like that, sure.”
“How did you end up here?” he asked after a moment. You sighed.
“To be completely honest, I don't even know. I don't know how to get back, or if I can get back at all. In fact, I don’t know if back in… in my world… if I’m gone there. If everyone I know thinks I just… disappeared. Or if at some point I’ll get back there, appearing in the same moment I left. It will be like nothing happened for the rest. Like at the end of the first Narnia movie, I guess.”
“The narn- what?” Leo questioned with a slight tilt of the head.
“Never mind,” you corrected yourself, and another silence took over. You cast your eyes down to the floor.
“I can’t tell you about certain events and such, but, I bet you have questions so, feel free to ask them,” you offered without looking at him. He thought it over.
“Well, you said–” A slight blush creeped up on his face. “–you said I am loved. And a good brother and leader. Where did that come from?”
You leaned back into the couch, draping your arm over your eyes and smiling at nothing in particular, if only the awkward situation you found yourself in.
“I know you think you’re the funny one of the bunch. Always cracking jokes. Which I think are actually funny, by the way,“ you replied, and your smile faded as you put your arm back down. “But I also know that sometimes you doubt yourself. And I just wanted you to know that… you're on the right track.”
Leo shifted slightly on the couch, and when you looked up, looking for his gaze, he looked away rather uncomfortably. You bit the inside of your cheeks.
“And look, I know this sucks. Some random person you almost ran over suddenly telling you all this. But I legitimately don’t know if I’ll just disappear one moment or the next, so I just wanted you to know.”
“Why though?” he asked, almost in disbelief.
“Because I genuinely like you,” you replied without hesitation. Your genuine response caught him by surprise, and he straightened up slightly, but then a little grin spread on his face.
“So, if you’re from the future, it’s like you have a crush on a historical figure and now you’re meeting your hero, right?”
You chuckled.
“Well, that’s one way of putting it.”
His hand came to his chin and he thought something over.
“Maybe we just started on the wrong foot then.”
Folding one of his knees onto the couch so he could sit sideways, facing you, he stretched out his hand.
“Hey, I’m Leo.”
You smiled, taking his hand in yours for the second time that day, and told him your name.
“Delighted to finally meet you,” you added.
“Always happy to meet a fan,” he said with a wink, and you chuckled at his antics.
“If you don’t have any plans tomorrow,” he continued, almost shyly. “Maybe I could take you out for a spin? And show you around the city.”
“I’d love that,” you replied with a warm smile.
“It’s a date then,” he said as he stood up, but realising what he said, he stumbles over his words to try and save it. You raised your hands to calm him down.
“I’m not opposed to the idea,” you offered with a playful shrug.
“Right, well uh. Good night then.”
With that he turned on his heels and left for his bedroom, leaving you all sorts of confused and excited for tomorrow.
– – – – –
The next day, you opened your eyes, blinking a couple of times, disoriented by the unfamiliar surroundings. Remembering the events of the day before, you sat up on the couch, looking around to find yourself still in the lair. You didn’t know if you were relieved or stressed about it.
What if you’d actually never make it back home? Was this your life now, spending the rest of your days in a fictional world?
Standing up with a stretch, you made your way to the kitchen to join the turtles for breakfast. Well, “breakfast”; it was actually already the afternoon. But they’re essentially nocturnal, so you’d have to get used to their circadian rhythm if you were to stay here. The other turtles greeted you normally, so you concluded that Leo hadn’t told them about your conversation. Good. The less they knew, the better.
After some food and light-hearted conversation, Leo took you out around the city as promised. The first thing you did was getting new clothes, then you went for some snacks and sightseeing. By the time you were done, you were both sitting on one of the taller buildings of New York, watching the last sun rays disappear behind the horizon.
Your legs dangled over the ledge, with your chin resting on your arms over the lowest bar of the railing, and you sighed. No matter how much you wanted to enjoy this outing and time spent with Leo the freaking teenage mutant ninja turtle, there was this one thought hovering over your head, like a fly trying to land on your food. No matter how much you kept swatting it away, it just kept coming back.
“What’s on your mind?” Leo asked after a while, already being able to read you like a book.
“I just can’t shake this feeling of… I don’t even know what to call it,” you replied with a sharp exhale. “Just the thought that any given moment, you might turn around, and then poof, I’m gone, you know? I don’t want to just leave like that.”
“I don’t want you to leave either…” he said in a low voice, and you turned to him, eyebrows raised in surprise.
“Wait, really? You’re not… annoyed by me, barging in like this?”
“No, I mean–” he explained with a lopsided smile. “It’s definitely weird, but it's not a bad weird. It’s like someone finally gets me, really sees me.”
Tilting your head to the side, you leaned your cheek on your folded arms as you looked at him. The half moon markings on his face seemed to glow with the very last drops of sunlight, about to be engulfed by the night and replaced by the moon already peeking out from behind a veil of clouds. The loose straps of his bandana swayed in the breeze, and you were transfixed by this image.
“Yeah, I see you,” you breathed.
For a moment, there was a strange peace that washed over you, like a familiar soothing voice telling you that it’s going to be okay. Leo held your gaze just as transfixed as you, eyes soft, something unreadable reflecting in them.
The turtle was just about to say something when his phone rang. It took him a second to tear his eyes away from you, then he answered the call; it was Donnie, urging him to come back as there had been a break-in and they had to retrieve some sort of artifact.
Your heart quickened, immediately thinking of Hypno and… the worm guy – what was his name again? – stealing the key, and you straightened up.
“We gotta go.” Leo moved to stand up, but you held him down by his arm.
He gave you a quizzical look, and that was when you made up your mind: whatever timeline this was, with or without Casey, you’d make sure that the Krangpocalypse never happened.
You leaned in, placing a quick peck to Leo’s cheek, and his breath hitched.
“Hey, you got this,” you said with a reassuring smile.
He got up to his feet and helped you up as well, holding onto your hand and giving it a squeeze.
“Will you stay?,” he asked, uncharacteristically shy, blush evident, peeking from under his mask. “With me?”
You gave his hand a squeeze back.
“As long as this universe will allow it.”

December Fic Day 2 ~ Movie
Summary: Your daughter is out on a camping trip, what better way to spend the night than cuddled up in front of the tv with your husband?
Warnings: none that I'm aware of but as always please tell me if I'm wrong
Pairing: pretty sure this is suitable for everyone (fem!reader/male!reader/gn!reader) but I am still new to writing anything other than fem!reader so any pointers are greatly appreciated.
Enjoy and please like and comment if you do. Something as simple as an emoji literally makes my day better so please don't hesitate to comment and obviously reblog to share my work.
December Masterlist
Finding time to spend together could be difficult for Logan and you. Between work with the x-men and caring for your four year old, Charlotte, having time to just relax together was very rare. But tonight, tonight you were in luck. It was a Saturday in December, your cabin was decorated with lights and tinsel and pictures of Santa and snowmen that Charlotte had drawn were stuck to the walls with sellotape. Tonight, Charlotte was out on a camping trip with Scott, Jean, Storm and a group of kids from the school meaning you and Logan had the cabin to yourself for the first time in a very long time.
Logan was outside chopping wood that would hopefully keep the fire going through the winter, just in case it rained or snowed and the other logs that Logan had stored were deemed unusable. You sat on the porch, wrapped up in a pair of your fluffiest pyjamas and Logan’s hoodie on top of them, drinking a mug of hot cocoa as you watched him. “You almost done, tough guy?” You asked him and he stopped chopping, looking at the pile of wood he had made and contemplating it. “We can always finish em tomorrow, Lo. There ain’t no forecast of rain or snow for tonight.” Logan was seemingly stuck on what to do as contemplated your suggestion. “Or we can always put the rest in the garage just to be safe.”
“Alright. You head on in, bub an’ I’ll put this in the garage.” You just nodded and walked back into the cabin, the warm air surrounding you and warming you to your bones. You always tried to keep the cabin as warm as possible in the winter, knowing that too much cold air could make your husband’s bones ache and it would take forever to get rid of the pain. It was then that you came up with the best idea of how to spend your night alone.
~~~~~~~~~~
While Logan showered, warming his bones and the metal inside him, you gathered all of the blankets and pillows in the house, stealing a few off of Charlotte’s bed that she hadn’t taken camping with her and piling them all up on the couch. You chucked a few different nibbles in the oven, some pizzas and garlic bread, onion rings and some stupid mozzarella ball things that Logan had become obsessed with, that particular obsession being shared by your daughter. When your husband finally came out of the bathroom, a pair of plaid pyjama pants and a white shirt adorning his body, he seemed confused at the state of the living room.
“Are you cold? Do you want me to put some more wood on the fire, my love?” Logan offered, confused by why you needed so many blankets and pillows on the couch.
“What? No. Logan we are having a movie night. We are going to watch all the Christmas movies that we want to watch, no more cartoons or kiddy films. We can watch absolutely anything! Logan we can watch an eighteen!” You saw how his face changed from confusion to a slight smile to a grin as the smell of the food and the mozzarella balls hit his keen sense of smell.
“Mozzarella balls? Baby you really know the way to my heart. Alright, let’s have a movie night.” Logan grinned and wrapped his arms around you tightly, holding you close to him and pressing kisses to your head. “I really love you. I love Lottie too but my god I am so glad she is sleeping out tonight.” Logan mumbled and you nipped his side, eliciting a laugh from him as he just squeezed you tighter. “I get you all to myself for the first time in months.”
“You’re jealous…” You teased and the tips of Logan’s ears turned a pinkish colour as he tried to argue his point. “You’re jealous of our 4 year old.” You pressed your face against his chest and laughed. The teasing resulted in Logan chasing you around the kitchen counter until you yielded and agreed that he was not jealous of the attention your daughter got (he was sometimes but he couldn’t let you know that, he’d never hear the end of it).
~~~~~~~~~~
With the food cooked and dishes out onto plates on the coffee table, you and Logan snuggled up under the blankets with a plate on each of your laps as you stole bites from each other and argued over whether Die Hard was a suitable movie to watch at Christmas (Logan disagrees). “Baby, it is an action film set at Christmas. That don’t make it a Christmas movie.”
“Logan. It is a Christmas film. You just disproved your own point, it is set at Christmas and is literally set during a Christmas party. It doesn’t get more Christmassy than that. Watch it, you’ll see. Besides, why does it matter? It’s an eighteen. We have the house to ourselves so we are going to watch all the movies that we can’t watch when Charlotte is around.”
Logan gave in and let you have your way, as he always does, and the pair of you ate the food, drank hot cocoa and cuddled up beneath the multitude of fluffy blankets, Logan comically ending up with Charlotte’s pink and sparkly fair princess blanket wrapped around his shoulders. It might not have been the night in that the pair of you would have originally planned but it was the perfect way to spend your evening together, cuddled up in front of the fire with the lights from the Christmas tree sparkling.

Platonic Yandere!Batman x gn!Reader
Purge AU. Info on au. You receive your official government letter announcing a yandere's claim on you in tomorrow's Purge. Accompanying it are five crimson letters from the yanderes themselves. ~600 words
Dear [Name],
I want to take this first encounter to assuage your fears—you are in no danger.
The fear you must be feeling might be the most dreadful you’ve ever experienced, and I’ll forever regret it. While the monotonous bureaucracy of the Purge is taxing on everyone, it’s a necessary evil… Inside this letter, you’ll receive what brief explanation I can give you and, hopefully, comfort you in some capacity.
[Name], I’m your father, and this letter is my official and legal introduction. In the next 24 hours, I and your siblings will bring you home.
You don’t know this yet, but we met on a moonless evening many months ago. You were walking alone, trying to leave the emptying streets before Gotham’s evening crowd took hold of the city. I worried for you and decided to keep a close eye until you were home safely, but something about your demeanor kept my attention. How polite and unassuming, yet quick to navigate the streets you were. You drifted through the evening like a wayward spirit, eventually finding yourself in my heart and soul.
That chance encounter sent us spiraling down a destined path, one in which I never anticipated would lead to here. I never realized the grim darkness I had been living in until I experienced your light, and now, the day before our first meeting as father and child, the promise of eternal contentedness just beyond these 24 hours is almost too much to bear.
Your brothers and sisters are equally ecstatic. You’ll never be bored for a moment in your life moving forward, as the halls of our home are always thrum with the echoes of banter and excitement. I can’t promise it will be an easy life free from any sorrows, but your new family already loves you so, so dearly.
In time, I’m confident that you, too, will reflect on this event as the start of a better life.
However perfect your joining our family seems, I find myself asking how it came to this. How did I discover a soul as kind and lovely as yours? Despite all my failures and shortcomings, the world still crossed our paths and sent the merger of our lives into motion.
As a servant of justice, I’ve dedicated my life to protecting what is moral and just. I’ve spent decades refining my values and priorities, yet this has often left me at fragile crossroads between myself and my children.
I’m flawed. I’m imperfect. I don’t think I’ll ever be worthy of being your father. I need you to know these things before we meet, to save yourself from the inevitable misfortune that will strike us. Yet know this: there is not a force in this world that will keep me from you. I love you more than I love humanity, more than the Earth itself. I would defy the laws that govern the universe if it meant seeing you happy.
The world is dangerous and unpredictable. However inadequate I feel at protecting your light, I know you’re significantly more likely to fade from existence outside of my care.
To receive a crimson letter from the city a day before the Purge might be one of your darkest nightmares, and for that I’m sorry. With my heart, soul, and all my love for you, I promise to rectify the misery you and your biological family are experiencing. Please take comfort in the fact that you will be the most beloved and cherished person in the world.
I will give you everything. For your family’s sake, I hope they can rest easier with this knowledge.
Please remain put until we arrive.
See you soon.
Love,
Dad

I hope you, your friends, family and loved ones have a great holiday season! - Clara💞
Blues Clues Christmas💙🐾
Caregiver! Steve Burns & GN Little! Reader (SFW!)
Tags- Christmas fluff, hand holding, being picked up, forehead kisses, searching for clues, dog licks, and typical blues clues fluff!
My eyes start to flutter open to a frosty Christmas Eve morning. Wait… ITS CHRISTMAS EVE!!! I jump up and look outside and it’s still snowing!!!
I turn and shake Steve to wake up, “Steve!! Steve!! It’s Christmas Eve!!”
I hear him chuckling before he stretches, starting to wake up. “Someone’s excited for Christmas.”
“I am! I can’t wait to-.” I’m interrupted by Blue, jumping into the bed and licking my face. “Blue! Good morning! Merry Christmas Eve!”
Blue smiles to me and barks, just as excited for the day ahead. I hold her in my arms, turning as we look to a disheveled Steve sits up in bed.
“You two are wide awake,” he chuckles, “Come on you rascals. Let’s get some Christmas Eve breakfast.”
Blue jumps from my arms and heads towards the kitchen. But before Steve and I go, he leads me to the bathroom first, “Come on little one, let’s get you changed and ready for the big day.”
With a quick pit stop to the bathroom, brushing our teeth, getting changed into our outfits, we set off to the kitchen hand in hand.
“Bonjour Y/N!” Mr. Salt comes to the edge of the countertop.
“Good morning Steve!” Mrs. Pepper joins him.
“Good morning!” I say to put, taking a seat at the table next to Blue.
Steve grabs a cup of tea for himself and a sippy cup of fruit juice for me. Then we settle in and have a small breakfast together with Blue and the spice family.
“So what’s the plan today Steve?” I ask, eager to get our Christmas Eve started.
“Well,” he put his tea cup down, “I was thinking we could stop by and give out invitations to Christmas, maybe some cooking…”
“Leave the cooking to us.” Mrs. Pepper winked.
“But what about tonight? The night before Christmas?” I ask again.
But this time it’s Blue’s turn. She barks and spins around before putting a blue paw print on the table.
Steve and I gasp. “BLUE’S CLUES!!!”
“That’s a great idea Blue!” Steve smiles, “We’ll play Blues Clues to see what we should do tonight after dinner.”
“So we need to keep our eyes out for three clues!” I cheer from across the table.
“Yes! And I have a very important job for you Y/N.” He reaches into his pocket and takes out his handy dandy notebook. “I want you to be in charge of my notebook today.”
I’m speechless taking the notebook carefully. I stare at it in disbelief, “Y-You want me to hold onto it?”
“Sure! I could use your help today finding all of Blue’s clues. Are you up to the task my little sidekick?” He winks.
“Yes!! Yes!! A million times yes!!” I almost jump from my seat.
“Then let’s starts our adventure!” Steve finishes his tea and I finish my juice before we set out to the living room.
“Alright. Now on top of finding Blue’s clues, we also have to give out our Christmas invitations. We have three stops.”
He holds out the cards, “One is for Magenta, one is for Josh, and one is for Joe. We’ll need to make sure we stop at everyone’s house so they know they’re invited tomorrow. I’ll have you be in change of holding onto the cards.”
He hands me them and I look at the cards in awe, “You want me to be in charge of the cards too?”
“Of course! I know you can do it! But if you’re feeling overwhelmed or like it’s too much responsibility, you let me know okay?” He reassures.
“I will but, I’ve got it.” I smile back to him.
“I knew I could trust you! Now, let’s head out.” He goes to open the door but I stop him smiling, “Steve wait.”
“What’s wrong little one?”
“We need our coats, hats and gloves.”
With a small gasp he nods, “You’re so right. How could I be so silly? You’re so smart!” He praises. “Let’s get our winter gear.”
“First we’ll put on our coat…” he puts on his green stripped coat that matches his usual shirt. He turns and grabs my coat, helping me put each arm in the sleeves, then zipping it right up.
“Great. Next we’ll put on our hats…” he grabs his green hat and puts it on, then does the same for me. “Comfy?” He asks getting a nod from me.
“Finally we’ll put on our mittens.” A green pair for him of course, then a pair for me. “Let me see their hands.” He waves his hands up like crazy, I giggle and follow suit.
“Alright! Looks like we’re all set. But first, do we need anything else before we leave? A snack, a quick trip to the bathroom?”
I pause, thinking it over. “Bathroom?” I say shy.
“Good idea. Let’s make a quick stop before we go.” He takes my mitten hand in his mitten hand, heading back to our bed room. After taking care of business, we’re right back to it!
“Okay! Are you all set? Ready for our Christmas Adventure?” He smiles.
“Yes! Let’s find out what Blue wants to do tonight after dinner!” I squeeze his hand.
“Great! Let’s go!”
~~~
We step outside to our frosty front yard. It snowed a few days ago and everything still looked so beautiful, like a winter wonderland.
We leave our little yellow house and start walking down the street, saying hi to those who pass us. I stick close to Steve, holding his hand as we approach our first stop, Magenta’s house.
“Would you like to ring the bell or would you like me too?” He ask, looking over to me.
“Can you?”
“Of course I can.” He leans forward ringing the bell. We wait maybe a minute before Magenta runs to the door and right over to us.
“Magenta!! So good to see you!” I giggle as she jumps up and licks Steve and I.
We follow after her into the house and find Blue sitting at a coloring table with Magenta. “Oh hi Blue!”
Blue smiles and barks back, but then I see it.
“STEVE! A clue! A clue!!!”
“I know Magenta really flew!”
“No!” I giggle shaking my head to Steve, “A clue!” I point to the blue paw print on the piece of paper.
He gasps. “A clue!! Great job Y/N!! You found our first clue! But…what is it?”
“It’s paper Steve.” I giggle some more. He’s so silly sometimes.
“Ah! You’re so right, it is paper. You know what this means, we need our Handy Dandy…”
“Notebook!” I hold it out for him.
“Notebook! That’s right. Thank you sweet one.”
He takes the notebook, pushing the crayon through the top and flipping to a new page.
“So our first clue is paper. We start by drawing a straight line at the top, then a line down, then another line at the bottom and one up to connect at the top. There, paper!”
He stops and thinks looking over to me, “But what could Blue want to do after dinner tonight with paper?”
“Maybe she wants to draw some more?” I offer.
“Maybe…but we better find more clues to make sure.” We nod together.
“Here,” he hands me the notebook again, “for safe keeping.”
I turn and put the notebook back in my pocket. But then I remember our second mission!
“Magenta!” I grab the invitation from my backpack and hand it to her, “You’re invited over for Christmas tomorrow!”
Magenta lights up running around and barking. She runs over to me and licks me as a thank you. “Oh! You’re welcome! I can’t wait to see you tomorrow!” I smile back.
“Alright! You two have fun! We have more invitations to send out!” Steve holds his hand out to me which I gladly take. Together we wave goodbye to Magenta and Blue before leaving.
Then we’re back to it, making our way down the street to the next house. “Uncle Josh!!”
“Yeah! Next is Uncle Josh! I’m sure he’ll very excited to come over.”
We walk up the steps to the blue house which belongs to Josh. “Would you like to do the honors this time?” Steve asks and I quickly nod, reaching forward and ringing the bell.
Soon Josh arrives at the door, his face lighting up to see is. “Y/N! Steve! What a wonderful surprise!”
“Uncle Josh!” I run forward and give him the biggest hug.
“Y/N! It’s so good to see you!!” He wraps his arms around me, hugging me just as tightly. With a kiss to my forehead, we break apart.
I stick close to him, resting against his side. He notices this and wraps an arm around me. “So what brings you two here?”
“We’re looking for Blue’s Clues!” Steve replied.
Josh gasp, “Special Christmas Eve Blue’s Clues! This must really be important!”
“Have you see any around?” I ask.
“Not that I know of but-.” He looks around, “maybe another set of eyes could help!”
He takes my hand in his, leading me into his living room with Steve following behind.
“Actually I could use the two of yours help.” Papers laid all over his living room.
“You see, there was a mistake at the print shop and now all of my stories are messed up. Can you help me tell which is the real story.”
“Yeah!” I bounce beside him.
Josh smiles, squeezing my hand, “Great! Okay here’s the first one. Is it Little Bo-Peep lost her sheep or her cows?”
Steve and I think for a moment. Then it hits me, “It’s her sheep!”
“Ohhhhh.” Josh and Steve say in unison. “You’re right! It is her sheep!”
Josh smiles back, “Good job Y/N!” He puts the paper in a pile. “Okay here’s the next one, Little blue or red ridding hood?”
Again, we all stop and take a moment to think. “Red or blue…red or blue…” Steve says to himself.
“Red!” I chime in.
The two again, look in awe of me. “You’re right! It’s Little Red Riding Hood. Amazing Job!” Josh praises some more, putting the paper in the pile.
“Alright! Last one, Old MacDonald had a mansion or a farm?” Josh reads the papers.
Again, we all take our time to think it over.
“I’ve got this one!” Steve chimes in, “But…just to be sure, what do you think Y/N?”
“I think it’s a farm!”
“I think so too!” Steve cheers on.
“Great job you guy!! You helped me put my stories back together!”
I cheer us on but then pause as my eyes hit upon Josh’s pile of stories. He must’ve seen it at the same time as me because Josh and I turn and look at each other at the same time.
“A clue!!” We say in unison.
“A clue?! Where?” Steve leans over.
“On the stack of stories.” Josh points out.
“So our next clue is a story…” I think.
“You know what this means, we need our Handy…Dandy….” Steve smirks.
“Notebook!!” I hold it up.
“Wow!! Steve let you hold his notebook! He must really trust you Y/N! What a big honor!” Josh praises me making me blush.
“Thank you.” I smile, handing the notebook to Steve.
He takes the crayon out and flips to the next page. “So our next clue is…stories. We’ll make a square with some squiggly lines in the center for writings. Then we’ll repeat this on the other side so we have two pages. There! A story!”
Steve lifts his head and looks to Josh and I. “But what could Blue want to do tonight after dinner with paper and a story?”
The three of us sit and think for a minute. “Oh!” Josh suddenly says “Maybe she wants to make her own stories!”
“Ohhhhhh.” Steve and I say in unison.
“But we better find the last clue, just to be sure.” I remind them as Steve hands me his notebook back.
“Definitely!” Josh smiles.
Mail time! Mail time! MAAAAAAIIIIILLLLLL TTTTIIIIIIMMMMEEEEE!
Steve and I gasp! “The mail is here!!”
Before we run out the door I stop, grabbing my backpack and pulling out Josh’s invitation. “Here Josh! It’s your invitation to Christmas tomorrow at our house.”
“Really?! I’d love to go! I’ll see you then Y/N.” With one last hug from Josh, I’m sent off with Steve back home for the mail!
We put our stuff down by the front door as Steve starts to sing, “Here’s the mail, it never fails, it makes want to wag my tail, when it comes I wanna wail, mmmmaaaaiiilll!!!”
I giggle, joining Steve on the mmmaaaiiilll part.
We take out seats on the thinking chair. Steve in the center of the chair while I sit on the arm. Mailbox comes in through the window with a Christmas hat on.
“Mail’s here! Mail’s here!!” He happily cheers.
“I thought the post office is closed on holidays?” I ask Mailbox.
“It is! That’s very smart of you Y/N. The post office is closed on major holidays, but this arrived this morning for the two of you.” He opens up and inside of a red and green letter.
“We just got a letter, we just got a letter, we just got a letter, wonder who it’s from.” Steve smiles, opening the letter. He pauses and gasps, looking at me. “It’s from Santa.”
My eyes widen and I gasp as well, “SANTA?!”
“Yes! It says:
Dear Steve, Blue and Y/N,
You’ve all been very good this year. I look for to visiting your house tonight. Make sure not to stay up too late and please leave out some milk and cookies if you can.
Sincerely yours,
Santa Claus❤️”
I beam with excitement. “Santa’s coming tonight!!!!”
“Yes he is! We need to figure out what Blue wants to do tonight so we get to bed at a good hour and don’t accidentally see Santa Claus.”
Just as Steve says that Blue runs by. “Follow that dog!” I giggle, grabbing my backpack by the door and running after her.
“Wait up Y/N!” Steve calls after me.
Blue stops in front of a picture of Joe’s present shop. She barks a cute little song before she…goes into the picture?!?! I stare in disbelief.
“Where’s Blue?” Steve asks catching up.
“She…she’s in the picture.”
“Ohhhh she skidooed into the photo.”
“Skidoo?”
“Yeah! We can do it too! All you have to do is rock your leg and arms with me. Ready?” I nod following his lead.
“Blue skidooed we can too!” Suddenly we shrink and go into the picture frame!! Where once we were in our house, now we’re in the picture, or more specifically, outside Uncle Joe’s present shop.
“Wow!!” I smile to Steve, “That was awesome!”
“Isn’t it?” He smiles back. We turn and look to the present shop. “It’s my brother Joe’s present shop!”
“He’s the last invitation we need to hand out!”
“You’re right! Let’s head in and see what he’s up to.”
Inside the present shop was busy! Presents being wrapped and sent in all sorts of directions. Joe usually helps Santa out with the wrapping this time of year and it seems like this year was no different!
There, in the center of it all is Joe, making sure everything is in working order.
“Uncle Joe!!” I run into the shop and right over to him.
He immediately lights up seeing me, opening his arms and holding me in a tight hug. “Y/N!! Sweetheart!! It’s so good to see you!!”
He lifts me into his arms, holding me on his hip. “What brings you here today?”
“Well we’re on the hunt for Blue’s Clues.” Steve says as he joins us.
“Special Christmas Eve Blue’s Clues huh? What have you got so far?”
“We’ve got paper and stories.”
“Paper and stories…” Joe starts to think, “Now I wouldn’t want to say anything until you have the third clue, but…have you thought about maybe Blue want to make her own stories?”
“That’s what Uncle Josh said!”
“Really? So he copying me now?” Joe smirks.
“You’re copying him silly!” I giggle.
“Am I now? Am I?” He spins me around making me giggle more.
“How are the presents coming by?” Steve asks.
“Everything is going according to schedule. Santa should be ready to head out as soon as tonight!”
Suddenly my eyes catches something, I look closer and it’s….
“A clue!! A clue!!”
“A clue?!” Josh and Steve say in unison. “Where?”
“There!” I point to the square box cutter. “It’s a clue!!”
The two gasp, “You’re right Y/N! It’s one of Blue’s clues!! Good eye.” Joe praises
“The final clue is a square!” Steve examines the clue.
“Notebook!” I hold it out to Steve.
“Our handy dandy notebook! Thank you Y/N.”
“You’re holding Steve’s notebook? That’s such a big honor. Steve must really trust you.” He praises.
I beam with happiness, “Yeah! It’s a big honor.”
“So, the shape of a square. We’ll make one line at the top and equal size lines going down the sides and one at the bottom. There, a square.” Steve explains, showing the two of us the drawing.
“It’s our last clue!!” I cheer.
“Our last clue?! You know that that means, it’s time for our thinking chair!!” Steve cheers.
Joe sets be back down but before Steve and I go I stop and grab my backpack. “Uncle Joe! I almost forgot!”
I hand him the invitation, “You’re in over for Christmas tomorrow!”
“I am!” He looks at the invitation, “I’d be honored. I’ll see you tomorrow kiddo.”
I take Steve’s hand and wave goodbye to Joe. Once out of his present shop we skidoo back to our house. Then it’s off to the thinking chair!
Steve and I sit in our thinking chair. I hand him the notebook and we start to go over our clues. “So now that we’re in our thinking chair, let’s think. What does Blue want to do tonight after dinner? What was the first clue?”
“Paper!”
“That’s right! We saw the clue at Magenta’s house. But…what was the second clue?”
“Stories!”
“Yes! We saw the stack of stories at Josh’s house.”
“And the final clue is a square at Uncle Joe’s present shop.”
“So, what does Blue want to do tonight after dinner with paper, stories and a square?”
We sit and think…and think…
“What if…” Steve starts out saying, “she wants to write Christmas cards and put them in a box?”
“But then what would be the clue about stories?”
“Right…you’re so right….” Steve goes back to thinking.
There’s a moment of silence as the two of us think. Blue runs over and joins us as we think and think.
“I’ve got it!!” I suddenly say. Steve and Blue look to me. “She want to read a storybook after dinner! That would explain the paper as pages, the stories in the book and the square shape is the book itself!”
Steve lights up with the realization. We look to Blue who barks and spins around with conformation.
“You did it Y/N! You figure out Blue’s Clues!” He wraps his arms around me and picks me up, bringing me into a tight hug. “You are so incredibly smart! I am so proud of you Little one.”
I giggle and hold him close. “Couldn’t have done it without you Steve.”
“Aw! You’re sweet but I think the smartie here is you.” He smiles back, holding me in his arms.
“Steve! Y/N! Dinner is ready!” Mrs. Pepper calls from the kitchen.
“Oh! It’s dinner time! Come on, let’s go.” Steve carries me into the kitchen where everyone is seated at the big table for Christmas Eve dinner. Everyone is there, side table, slippery soap, the whole spice family, even mailbox.
We all have a nice tasty dinner together. Laughing and having fun with friends and family around.
Then like Blue ask, we all gather in the living room together. First we set out some milk and cookies for Santa along with some carrots for the reindeer.
Steve and I cuddle close together on the couch, Blue in my lap and a Christmas book in his hand. With his arm wrapped around me he begins to read, “‘Twas the night before Christmas…”
Somewhere in the story I fall asleep against Steve. With a kiss to my forehead, he picks me up and brings me into the bedroom.
~~~
It’s Christmas morning!!! I jump awake and shake Steve to wake up. “It’s Christmas morning!! Santa came!!”
Steve laughs and yawns waking up. “Good morning Little one, merry Christmas.”
“Merry Christmas Steve.” I smile back.
Blue jumps up into the bed and licks the two of us. I giggle, “And merry Christmas to you too Blue!”
We get out of bed and go right to the tree. True to Santa’s letter, we have plenty of presents under the tree!! I gasp, grabbing Steve’s when pulling him along to the tree.
The morning is spent unwrapping and exchanging gifts with everyone in the house. Then company comes over right after. First Magenta runs in and plays with Blue.
Then Josh and Joe come over. “Where’s my favorite Little?” Joe calls from the door. I come run over and reunite with my uncles. “Y/N! Thank you for inviting us!” Josh adds, the two smiling.
The rest of Christmas Day is peacefully and fun. Spent with loved ones and family alike.
“Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.” Steve wraps his arm around me, kissing my forehead. Blue jumps up and kisses the two of us, ending the best Christmas ever!

Okay so I was in a country song bing for a good couple of hours and all I can think about is hannigrahm with a country s/o (preferably gn) who isn't shy at all but will absolutely put their hat on their heads (the meaning if that is like staking a claim or save a horse ride a cowboy)
A Night To Remember
Hannigram with a country s/o
They met you at a bar, a celebration for breaking a case, as Jack had told them.
You were on the stage, playing the guitar and singing softly for all the patrons to hear.
Hannibal watched you with interest, eventually catching your eye.
You winked at him before tipping your hat, finishing up the song you were singing.
You thanked everyone for listening before hopping off the stage and heading over to the bar, right over to Hannibal and Will.
You ordered something strong, turning to Hannibal as it was being made.
“You look like a fancy fella. What brings you ‘round here?” You asked him, starting the conversation fairly easily.
After you got your drink you hung around them, spending some time trying to crack Will out of his shell.
You bought them a round of shots, making a toast to friendship before downing it easily.
Will swished his around in the small shot glass before he took it, wincing slightly at the burn.
You teased him about it for a few minutes before taking off your hat and placing it on his head.
You gave them your number before leaving the bar, telling them to call you.
Alana laughed when she saw you place your hat on Will’s head, knowing the meaning of the whole ordeal.
Will clearly did not know, as he kept the hat on.
Eventually, Alana told him, trying to hold back her laughter when she saw his face of shock.
When Will got home he called you almost immediately, wanting to ask why you put your hat on his head.
You responded accordingly. “I thought you were cute, sugar.”
You laughed when you heard him stumble over his words slightly.
”Meet me at the bar tomorrow night. 6:30. I’ll get my hat back and we can talk. Get to know each other.”
Will agreed, mostly because he wanted to return your hat, but also because he wanted to get to know you a bit.
Hannibal helped him get ready, even offering to go with. Will denied, saying he could do it on his own.
When he met you there, he immediately asked you why you put your hat on him again.
“I told you, darlin’. I thought you were cute.” You said with a smile, taking a sip of your drink.
You two hung out all night, eventually going back to your place late at night, both of you tipsy.
Will woke up on the couch with a blanket over him and a plate of food on the coffee table.
He ate, got dressed(when did he get undressed?) and left your house.
He went home and told Hannibal about the night.
You three hung out more and more, eventually all of you fell in love.
You were the one to ask them out, jealous of a drunk who was hitting on them at the bar.
They were a bit shocked, sure, but they easily accepted your confession, confessing that they too were in love with you. (A/n: Thank you so much for the request! I thought it was really cute! I hope you like it, I tried my best to get the country aspect right, as I am not the biggest country fan. I’m sorry if it’s a little short!)

“So you’re coming straight home?” Wanda asked over the phone as Y/N locked up the cafè.
“I am.” They answered her. “I’m just leaving now Wan and I’ll be home in 30.”
“Please be safe.” Wanda told them. “I love you.”
“I love you more.” Y/N replied as they turned around and started to walk through the dark and empty streets of Westview. Westview had always been a quiet and safe place, never really anything bad happening, well that was what everyone thought before the two married Avengers moved there, just wanting a quiet and simple life.
As Y/N turned around every corner, they continued to look over their shoulder, especially having the feeling they were being watched, a feeling they have had for the past few weeks. Every time they looked over their shoulder, all they saw was the stillness of the town, not noticing the shadow lurking around the corner, waiting for the opportune moment to strike.
Of course, that was the moment Y/N had started to feel unsteady, dizzy and light headed. Before they could take another step, they collapsed to the ground unconscious. Not noticing a smirking woman who has been obsessed with them approach.
Wanda paced the living room, the twins already in bed asleep as she watched through the window, hoping to see Y/N walk up the drive. But with each minute that passed, they were becoming later and later. Wanda tried their phone again, only getting their voicemail instead.
“Hello?” She heard Nat’s groggy voice answer.
“Y/N’s not home.” Wanda told her frantically.
“Wanda, I’m sure they’re just running late.” Nat tried to reassure her.
“No.” Wanda almost yelled. “They are never late, not once. You know this.”
“Ahh yes. One of their most annoying qualities.” Nat sat up as she rubbed her eyes. “I’ll be around in an hour and I’ll look for them ok.”
“Thank you Nat.” Wanda sighed gratefully.
“Just try and get some sleep Wanda.” Nat told her. “I’ll let you know when I find them.” With that she hung up.
“Who was that?” Maria mumbled as she tried to get Nat to lay back down.
“Wanda.” She told her. “Y/N is over an hour late and she is worried sick.”
“They might have just stopped off at the bar for a drink.” Maria suggested as Nat finished getting dressed.
“Yeah, but I’m still going to find them and drag their ass home.” Nat told her.
“Do you want me to come with you?” Maria questioned.
“No, you have that mission tomorrow.” Nat told her as she leaned over her. “You should get yourself some rest.”
Y/N woke up in a daze, feeling extremely hungover before looking over to the woman beside them. A smile on their face before they planted a kiss on her cheek.
“Where are you going?” Agatha questioned as Y/N gave her a tender smile.
“I am going to make a start on breakfast.” They told her before they got out from under the covers. “Pancakes or Waffles?” They asked her with a mischievous grin.
“Is that even a question?” She asked as she got out of bed herself. “You are not cooking either again after you almost set my kitchen on fire.” She slapped their ass as she walked past them. “So, I will do the cooking while you can sit pretty and watch.”
“Yes ma’am.” They saluted her with a childish smile, making her shake her head as a chuckle escaped her lips, soon following behind her towards the kitchen. “You know, I love perfect mornings like this.” They said as they put on a fresh pot of coffee.
“Me too.” Agatha smiled as she mixed the ingredients, enjoying the little pocket reality she had created in their minds.
Wanda made sure that the twins were ready and on the school bus before Nat had arrived.
“Anything?” She questioned as Nat shook her head.
“I’ve asked Tony for help in tracking them, their cell, their smartwatch but they have a cryptic code on it so it’s proving difficult.” She informed her.
“Yeah, Y/N created that code.” Wanda told her with an apologetic look. “They wanted to make sure that none of us would be tracked, especially since the twins were born.”
“Do they know?” Nat questioned as Wanda shook her head.
“They think Y/N is at work.” She spoke sadly. “But how do I tell them that their parent is missing?”
“You need to tell them Wanda, they’re smart kids and they will figure it out eventually.” Nat told her.
“I know.” She sighed as she rubbed her brow, soon broken from her thoughts when there was a frantic knock on the door.
“Where is Y/N’s computer?” Tony asked the moment she opened the door.
“In their office.” She told him, confused as she watched him move past her, both Nat and Wanda right behind him. “What are you doing?”
“That code that Y/N had written is difficult for me to break so I can’t track them.” Tony told her as he set up his own equipment. “For me to at least be able to track them, I need to know more about it.”
“Ok.” Wanda nodded as they watched him get to work.
Y/N stood just on the porch, enjoying a cup of coffee as they watched the kids from the neighborhood running around, laughing and playing together in the morning sun.
“There you are.” Agatha spoke cheerfully as she leaned on the doorframe. “I was wondering where you had run off to.”
“Do you ever think of having kids?” They asked her, making her laugh as she moved to stand beside them.
“Why?” She questioned as they sighed, looking back out at the street.
“I have always wanted to be a parent.” They told her. “I was always alone when I was a kid, my parents were never there and I didn’t have any siblings, none that mattered anyways.”
“I think so.” She answered them. “I had never really given much thought to it before but I guess we can try.”
“Really?” They questioned. “Are you sure that is something you want?”
“”I don’t want to pressure you into anything Wanda.” They reassured her. “I just, I have always wanted kids and we have never really spoken about it.”
“Y/N.” Wanda tried as Y/N carried on rambling.
“I know we should have spoken about this before we even thought of marriage but.” They took her hand in theirs. “I just want to build a family with you, build a whole new life with you, away from being an Avenger. We can always open that cafè you always wanted, buy a house in the suburbs with the swingset and porch.”
“Y/N.” She spoke louder as she cupped their face. “I would love to build a family with you, especially after we deal with this Thanos problem and the universe malarky.”
“Really?” They beamed as she nodded.
“Really.” She told them. “I want to build our family, but I want to do it in a safe world where we can live our lives without looking over our shoulders.”
“I really do love you.” They leaned in and kissed her lips, making her smile before they broke apart.
“I love you more.” She returned before kissing them once more.
“Y/N?” Agatha spoke concerned, her hand on their back as they held their head. “Talk to me?”
“I uh, I don’t know what that was.” They told her as they squeezed their eyes shut. “It felt so real, like it was my memory.” They turned to look at her. “I just, I don’t know who that woman was.”
“What did she look like?” She questioned, curiosity getting the better of her as they started to describe Wanda. Her heartbeat racing at the possibility of Y/N remembering their old life, the possibility that she will lose her obsession.
“I guess she meant something to me in that dream or whatever that was.” They told her. “I just, I need to lay down.” They kissed her head before heading back inside, missing the purple flash in Agatha’s eyes as she looked out into the sky.
“Ok, so now I have about a million firewalls to break down before I get to that code they created.” Tony mumbled.
“How long will it take?” Wanda asked as Tony sighed
“I don’t know.” He groaned. “I just never knew they knew their way around a computer or codes, let alone be able to make one.”
“Well, they did go to MIT.” Nat informed him.
“What?” He questioned. “I just thought they were some dense metal head.”
“No.” She told him. “Before you joined SHIELD, they were the one who helped me with a lot of my missions.”
“Just please find them.” Wanda told him before she left the room, heading straight to their bedroom.
“We will find them Wands.” Nat told her as she stood in the doorway. “Tony will crack the code and we will bring them home.”
“I just.” Wanda took a deep breath. “I can’t lose them.”
“And you won’t.” Nat told her confidently. “Also, Pepper is going to take the twins for a while, at least until this has all blown over.” Wanda could only nod before she turned to look at the glasses on their night stand.
“Have you ever felt like something is too good to be true?” Y/N questioned as they sat beside Agatha on the sofa.
“Why?” She questioned as they shrugged.
“I don’t know, it’s just this feeling I’ve got and it’s unnerving.” They told her, watching as she set her book aside and took their hand in hers.
“This is very much real Y/N.” She told them.
“But the memories, they feel like memories.” They spoke unsurely.
“You’ve had more?” She questioned as she sat up straight, her hand going to the back of their neck.
“Yeah, and it’s all with the same woman.” They told her. “I think her name is Wanda, that is what I heard in one of them.”
“I’m sure your mind is just playing tricks on you dear.” She cooed as she mumbled incoherently into their ear, their eyes flashing a brief purple before they leaned down to cuddle into her. “Go to sleep dear.” She smirked as she ran her hands through their hair.
“O’pa! Look what I did!!” Billy beamed as he rushed into Y/N’s office holding a piece of paper.
“What is it?” They asked with a smile on their face, taking the paper from his hand.
“I drew us.” He beamed as he stood beside Y/N. “Look, there’s you, mom, Tommy and me.”
“This is amazing.” They beamed as they reached in their draw for a pin, moving from their desk to pin it up on the wall. “I love it almost as much as I love you.” They ruffled his hair before pulling him in for a hug.
“I love you too O’pa.” He snuggled into them as they kissed his head, soon moving when they heard Wanda yelling.
“I guess your brother is winding your mom up.” They chuckled as Billy nodded. “Let’s go and help her, yeah?” Billy nodded before leading them out of their office.
Y/N woke up with a start, alone on the sofa, looking around and not recognising where they were.
“Billy?” They mumbled as they moved as fast as they could. “Tommy?” They headed towards the door, just as they reached the handle they were frozen in place.
“I didn’t realise you would be this strong against my magic.” Agatha groaned as she pulled them towards her. “But I guess I may have to resort to other methods to make you forget about your pesky life.”
“What did you do to my wife and sons?” They asked her as she shook her head.
“They’re perfectly fine.” She told them. “I only wanted you, and I always get what I want.”
“You’re going to pay for this.” They seethed, making her laugh maniacally.
“What makes you think anyone is looking for you?” She sneered. “I know who you are, I know who your wife is and I know about the twins' powers.”
“Don’t you even think of hurting them.” They yelled, only to be thrown across the room.
“You know, I thought we could have a nice little life together, you and I.” She used her magic again to lift them off the ground. “But I guess I will have to take away your family, I know there will be people interested in having two 10 year old boys with powers.”
“I will kill you.” They seethed as they struggled against her.
“That’s funny.” She laughed as she approached them. “It’s funny that you think you even have a chance against me. You’re weak. You have no powers, whereas your wife on the other hand, has a power that I wish to possess, and I will drain it from her as you watch.” With that she threw them down the stairs towards the basement, knocking them out.
“Do you have anything?” Nat questioned as she stood behind Tony. “It’s been days and Wanda is, well you know.”
“I am close to breaking the code and getting a location.” He informed her.
“Do we have any idea what or who we are dealing with?” Maria asked as she entered the room.
“No.” Nat informed her. “It could be another terrorist group or someone who has some sort of vendetta against Y/N or Wanda.”
“Well, I have everything we might need.” Maria told her as she unloaded the bag. “We also have these new taser-like weapons. If the suspect is enhanced, it will mute their powers long enough to put the handcuffs on them.”
“Good.” Tony clapped his hands. “Grab what we need because we are going to Eastview.”
“Eastview?” Wanda questioned.
“Yup.” He told them. “That’s where they are.” He pointed at the screen. “We should head out now.” With that they all went to Nat’s car, speeding towards Y/N’s location.
“We’re going to get them back Wanda.” Maria reassured her as Wanda only nodded as she looked out of the window.
“You know, you are indeed quite heavy.” Agatha teased as she walked around the chair she had tied Y/N to. “And I can see that you do indeed work out.” Y/N remained silent, looking ahead and avoiding her eyes. “This would all be easier if you just give in to me.”
“Why would I want to trade my life?” They questioned her. “I have the most amazing wife and sons. I am happy with my life.”
“Don’t you miss the excitement of being an Avenger?” She questioned them.
“No.” They answered her honestly. “Building a family and watching it grow is more exciting than anything.”
“You run a cafè for crying out loud.” Agatha laughed. “You live the life of a sappy rom com.”
“No.” They told her. “I am living the life of someone who is in love with their wife, someone who’s greatest achievement is watching my sons grow into amazing young men.”
Before she could answer, they heard a crash from upstairs, then multiple footsteps approaching.
“Looks like the cavalry’s here.” She remarked as she remained with her eyes on the stairs, watching as the four walked in the basement.
“Y/N?” They heard Wanda’s voice. “Who are you?” Wanda questioned as her eyes found Agatha.
“Well, hello dear.” Agatha sneered, her eyes watching as Wanda tried her hardest to use her powers but came up short. “Your magic isn’t welcome here, these runes prevent you or any other trespassing witch from using their powers.” With that she used her powers to immobilize the four.
“What do you want with Y/N?” Wanda questioned.
“Well, I never really wanted them.” Agatha pondered. “They were more of bait to get to what I really want.” She stood just in front of Wanda. “I wanted them to watch as I drain your magic, watch as you wither and die but now, I want you to watch as I kill them.”
“Don’t you dare!” Wanda screamed as she struggled against Agatha’s powers. None of them knew that the four had back-up right behind them.
“Oh, but I do, dear.” She smirked as she moved to behind Y/N, her hands resting on their shoulders as she taunted Wanda. “Don’t worry, I’ll take my time so you will get to say your goodbyes.”
“No.” Wanda tried again and again, tears forming in her eyes as she watched Agatha pick up a knife.
“You know, usually I don’t like to get my hands dirty.” She taunted, teasing with the blade on their skin at the base of their neck. “But just this once, I’ll make an exception.”
Before she could move the blade around, she felt a sharp pain in her shoulder, before she felt her power diminish vastly. Fear etched onto her face as she watched the four fall free from her grasp.
“What did you do?” She yelled at them, soon seeing Captain America himself stood before her, holding a gun.
“You messed with my family.” He told her as he approached her. “So now you must suffer the consequences.” He put on the cuffs, making sure that she couldn’t use her powers. “There is a cushy cell on the Raft with your name on it.” As he pushed her up the stairs, Wanda was fast to run to Y/N, helping untie them before cupping their face.
“Are you ok?” She asked them.
“How did you?” They questioned as they looked between the four.
“That code of yours was a bitch to break.” Tony told them. “But you will have to show me how you came up with it, so we can update everyone’s security.”
“Yeah.” Y/N nodded as they got to their feet unsteadily.
“Let’s get you home.” Wanda told them as she wrapped her arms around them.
“The twins?” They asked as she smiled.
“They’re safe.” She told them, kissing them softly.
“Thank you.” They told her. “For saving me.”
“Well, it is about time you’re not saving me.” Wanda chuckled with them, the two finally feeling at ease with being back in each other's arms, safe and right where they belong.

WHAT ARE YOU SMILING AT?
prompt: smiling real hard when texting them.
includes: blade x gn!reader. college au, blade’s in finance/business, he’s a loser as always, reader is the one pinning blade, not the other way around — wc: 670
A typical day at Star Rail Academy was unfolding, with everything proceeding as expected. Caelus continued his routine of rummaging through trash cans, Jing Yuan could be seen feeding the birds and cats in the vicinity, and to everyone's surprise, Blade wore an uncharacteristic, soft smile while engrossed in his phone.
Blade, smiling? That was a rare sight indeed.
“He’s definitely smitten,” Silverwolf whispered to Sam as they sat together, Silverwolf sneakily snacking on some of Sam's food.
“I can see that, Silverwolf. I'm not blind,” Sam replied, savouring his sandwich.
Kafka, always the curious one, leaned in closer to Blade. She wanted to catch a glimpse of the mysterious person capable of bringing a smile to Blade’s usually stoic face.
“Who are you chatting with, Bladie?” Kafka inquired, her curiosity piqued.
Blade swiftly interjected, pulling his phone away from Kafka's prying eyes. “None of your business.”
Silverwolf chimed in mischievously, "You know, I could hack your phone and find out."
Sam, with a sidelong glance, admonished Silverwolf for her antics while she snacked on his food.
Blade, seemingly unfazed, stood up from his seat. "Doesn't matter. Anyway, I've got some things to take care of."
"Hmm? Is it to meet this special someone?" Kafka asked, resting her chin on her hand.
Blade ignored her comment and began walking away from their table, walking past his old friends, collectively known as the High-Cloud Quintet.
Jing Yuan gazed longingly at Blade as he departed, but Blade paid him no attention. He was on a mission to find the person he was eagerly anticipating spending time with.
“I’m gonna be late!” you exclaimed, hastily slinging your bag over your shoulder and bidding your peers farewell.
As you rushed out of the room, your phone chimed, signalling a new message. You fumbled to retrieve your phone from your pocket while swiftly boarding the bus, scanning your card, and finally securing a seat.
Now that you weren’t in such a hurry, you quickly typed out a reply to Blade.
“Bladie! Thanks for waiting for me,” you huffed, sliding into the seat next to him in the booth.
“No worries, I got your drink while waiting,” Blade replied, nudging the beverage toward your side.
Your eyes lit up with gratitude as you took a sip of the delicious drink, but your enjoyment was cut short by a sudden thought.
“How do you even remember my order?” you asked, squinting playfully at him.
Blade responded with a hint of amusement, “You always order the same drink, darling. It would be surprising if I didn’t remember from the countless times you've posted about it on your socials.” He took a sip of his own coffee, a small smile playing on his lips.
“Huff... Anyway, help with this, will ya?” you said, opening your laptop. Blade leaned in closer to get a better view as the two of you began to work together.
As time passed, the two of you tackled your tasks, with Blade’s smart input proving to be immensely helpful. Hours seemed to fly by like water, and before you knew it, the surroundings had transformed into the warm hues of a beautiful sunset.
You yawned and stretched your arms out, finally finished with your work.
“Thanks for accompanying me, Bladie. I really appreciated it,” you said, leaning against his shoulder.
He froze for a moment but managed to muster, “It’s not a problem. I’m just a text away.”
“Hmm,” you replied, seemingly lost in thought.
Then, you leaned in and pecked his cheek, causing a deep blush to spread across his face and ears. You giggled at his reaction.
“As a thank you, I’ll see you tomorrow at the same time, if you’re free,” you inquired, already packing your bag.
“Yes! I mean, yeah, of course, sure. See you tomorrow then,” Blade stammered, rubbing the back of his neck.
You smiled and walked out of the café with a faint jingle, leaving Blade deep in thought as he tried to process what had just happened.
NOTES. context behind the café meeting is reader is confused with some money things so they asked their trusty dusty bladie!

lost and found
wanderer x gn!reader
genre: fluff, modern!au
warnings: none
word count: 4444
✧.* when a lost cat drags in your very snarky and attractive apartment neighbor, you end up with a bit more than you bargained for.
for the modern au writing event at @yae-publishing-house
it’s nearly the middle of the night when you see her for the first time - a little white cat huddled up by the staircase of your apartment building. your feet are aching from running around all day and your knees are on the brink of giving out from exhaustion, but you don’t even hesitate to approach her and crouch down to get closer the moment you take notice.
she chirps in surprise and stands up to greet you right away, brushing her cold pink nose against your hand and dragging her body against you affectionately with her tail twitching happily in the air.
“aww, sweet girl,” you whisper in a soft voice while scratching lightly around her ears. “aren’t you cold out here?”
the cat of course does not understand this, but she still meows once you finish talking before bumping her head against your hand in response. her fur is lightly covered in dirt and dust from being outdoors and she isn’t wearing a collar which would normally indicate a stray, but she’s so friendly that you can’t help but gnaw your lip in worry.
it’s not abnormal to see homeless cats in the area, and all of which are well taken care of by the people in the neighborhood, but what if she’s somebody’s lost pet? what if she hasn’t eaten in days and nobody has seen or fed her?
these thoughts are what have you ignoring the pain in your legs and jogging to the convenience store a few blocks away to pick up some cans of wet food. thanks to it being ridiculously late on a tuesday night the building is entirely empty aside from the cashier, so in record time you’re able to secure the goods and return to the little white cat that’s still waiting patiently under the concrete steps where you left her.
as soon as the lid is off the can she’s circling around your feet and meowing so you’re quick to set it down and let her at it. just as you had feared, she scarfs it down in under a minute before turning to you with her big green eyes like she’s asking for more. she probably hadn’t eaten for a while, and your chest flutters with anxiety about what to do in this situation.
animals aren’t allowed in this complex, so if she’s a pet she’s likely from the neighborhood nearby and ended up here after escaping her house. surely they have some sort of community group where everyone in the area can report things like porch thefts and lost animals, so you take your phone out to snap a few pictures of her while she continues to lazily brush against your legs.
“i’m sorry i can’t bring you inside,” you say to her sadly, slipping off your jacket to fold up and place under the steps for her to lay on. “i’ll make sure people know you’re missing, so stay here okay? i’ll bring you food again tomorrow.”
she once again meows very politely when you finish, and it takes everything in you to start walking up the stairs to your door and leave her behind knowing she’s stuck out here in the cold all night. when you finally get inside and kick your shoes off the first thing you do is download a neighborhood forum app and make a missing animal report, and it’s only seconds after that when you flop down on your bed and are out like a light.
the next morning, she isn’t there.
your jacket is still where you left it and covered in white fur from her laying on it, but the cat herself is nowhere to be found. you still leave an open can of food for her anyways, but the rest of the day while you’re out all you can think about is whether or not she’s safe and if you’ll ever see her again.
nobody has responded to the report you made last night yet, not even a single like left on the post despite the page having gotten multiple views, and you’re tempted to post in a few other neighborhoods nearby by decide to hold off and see if she comes back before jumping the gun.
later that night when you finally return, she’s curled up on your jacket under the stairs again. a tidal wave of relief rushes through you as you reach into your bag to pull out a can of food and peel the lid off.
alerted by the sound, the little white cats’ head shoots up and she’s already padding her way over to you before her eyes have even fully focused on the source of the noise. when she realizes it’s you, a series of delighted trills leave her throat and it takes everything in you not to scoop her up into your arms and baby her.
you sit with her for a bit longer after she finishes eating before bidding her goodnight and reminding her to stay put until tomorrow.
it’s only minutes after you’ve fled the scene that someone else who had also taken up the task of looking out for this cat for the time being approaches the stairs and clicks their tongue in annoyance at the sight of an empty can of food.
when tomorrow comes around, if she’s still there and nobody has responded to your post, you make an oath to yourself that you’ll sneak her inside and risk the consequences of doing so. it’s certainly more trouble than it’s worth, but you can’t sleep knowing she’s out there all by herself and the fleeting thought of her being taken by someone else and stuck in a shelter fills you with dread throughout the night.
she’s not there in the morning again, but you still leave an open can out for her like yesterday and have a little more confidence this time that she’ll still be waiting under the stairs when the day is over.
as expected, the sight that greets you as the moon hangs high in the sky when you finally reach the entrance to your complex is a sound asleep bundle of white fur on a jacket.
tonight is the night that you’ll take her up to your apartment and look after her, but you decide to let her eat first while you think up a backup plan in case picking her up and carrying her won’t work. a small smile sits on your face as you kneel next to her and watch her eat, lazily scratching up and down her back while she purrs between each bite.
“so you’re the one who’s been feeding my cat.” a male’s voice rings out from somewhere behind you.
you jump at the sound and snap your head around to face the source, the white feline slipping away from your hand to slink over to the person who spoke and meow at his feet expectantly. about ten feet away, with his arms crossed over his chest, stands the most attractive guy you have ever seen in your life.
the first thing you notice is his eyes - a vivid violet ocean encapsulated in his irises as he glares down at your hunched form. there’s a small amount of bright red eyeliner smudged under his waterline in a tiny wing that perfectly compliments his complexion and distracts you so much that you almost don’t see the two black rings in his bottom lip, to which your stomach does a little flip upon noticing. cropped indigo hair frames his face delicately, a sharp contrast against his ivory skin that looks soft and unblemished from where you’re crouching.
when you finally recover from how unfairly gorgeous he is and process his words, your brows crease together in a frown.
“your cat?” you can only watch helplessly as the white feline stretches up on her back legs and balances herself against his shins until he reaches down and scoops her up.
“yeah, obviously.” his tone is sarcastic as he gestures to the animal in his arms with a nod.
“then why does your cat live outside?” when you finally push yourself to your feet you realize he’s no taller than you are, standing at perfect eye level as you regard him with a suspicious look.
what kind of terrible person leaves their pet outside? it’s clear to you that he’s bullshitting and the cat isn’t really his, but if he’s so keen on being a jerk about it then he can have the same energy in return.
he purses his lips (curse those metal rings glinting under the fluorescent stair lights) and tilts his head back in a mocking manner. “she’s mine because she likes me the most.”
we’ll see about that.
“c’mere kitty, pspspsps.” at the sound of your voice the cat squirms out of his hold and pads over to you with a series of sweet little meows. the smug look you send him as you lean down to scratch her ears has his jaw visibly clenching with irritation.
“also, what’s so wrong with me feeding your cat?” you continue. “shouldn’t you be grateful?”
“grateful? she’s going to end up fat if we both feed her.” the man huffs.
“okay? so then stop feeding her.”
“no,” he retorts. “you stop feeding her. i was doing it first.”
“well that’s a shame. what do you want me to do about it? shall we take turns?” your tone is heavily sarcastic as you suggest this, and you’re positive that if looks could kill you’d be six feet under by now.
“what, like divorced parents? isn’t that always rough on the kids?” he counters and shakes his head. “she deserves better so just let me handle it.”
you look him up and down suspiciously, trying your best to ignore how hot he is. “why should i? i don’t know you.”
“are you-“ he releases an aggrieved sigh and pinches the bridge of his nose in exasperation. “fine, then let her choose.”
the cat, who’s sitting patiently watching you both exchange heated remarks, doesn't move a muscle. thirty tense seconds pass while she just looks between you and him with mild confusion, her tail flicking softly behind her until she gets bored and slinks off to go curl up on your discarded jacket, leaving the two of you standing in defeat.
“just let me take her inside.” you sigh, too tired to keep this up.
the man looks at you like you’ve grown a second head. “inside? are you crazy? we aren’t allowed to have pets.”
“okay, and?” you shrug. “you’re telling me that wasn’t also your plan?”
his eyes close and he seems to be contemplating something for a few seconds before speaking up again.
“one more night.”
“what?”
“one more night and if she chooses you tomorrow, i won’t argue.” he explains carefully, red lined violet eyes watching you closely. “but if she picks me, i’m taking her instead.”
reluctant to agree but unwilling to back down, you give a short nod and the deal is set. you both turn away at the same time without another word.
the next day, as the two of you meet under the stairwell at the same time and the tiny white cat beelines past you towards the man who wears a grin so smug it has your hands clenching into fists in irritation.
“have you even had a cat before?” you begin interrogating him, failing at trying not to be jealous over the whole thing. “do you even have everything you need? do you have electrical wires hidden and things she could eat and choke on picked up?”
he looks like he wants to argue, but instead shuts his mouth in a thin line and turns his head the other way, bangs falling into his eyes with the action.
“…no.”
with a defeated groan you drop your head into your hands and heave a large sigh.“we’re going to the store then. you need a litter box so she needs to stay out here until you do.”
“wait- we’re going to the store?” he asks, clearly against the idea of you tagging along. “why can’t i-“
“c’mon.” he pauses when you turn on your heel to start walking the other way, leaving him momentarily perplexed while staring after your retreating form.
there’s a place open for another hour down the road that should have everything you need, and you’re determined to not let the cat sleep out in the for cold another night so even though you can’t stand this guy, you may as well do it for her.
after swearing under his breath the man speed walks to catch up to you. the walk there is completely silent and neither of you acknowledges each other once, but once you walk through the sliding doors into the building you look over at him and wait until he meets your eyes.
“i’ll grab the litter, you grab the food. it’s that way.” you say while pointing to the isle. without another word, you take off towards your destination and spend a few minutes checking prices on different brands.
it’s not long before the man returns to your side with a small bag in his hand and you realize a little too late that of course he would have no idea which kind of food to pick.
“put that back,” you tell him while grabbing a case of litter.
“what? why?” he asks sharply, looking slightly offended.
“that brand is bad for them.” you explain while following hin back to the food isle. he’s visibly vexed as he trails after you.
“if it’s bad for them then why would they sell it?” the man deadpans.
“good question. here, grab this one.”
silently, he takes the bag from you and you lead him down a few other isles to grab things like food and water dishes and a small pack of mouse toys with bells before taking everything to self checkout. he’s strangely quiet the entire time, just letting you do your thing after having no choice but to accept that he knows nothing on the matter, and you can’t help but find it a bit endearing.
when you scan the items, the man hovers behind you silently until you pull out your wallet to pay. he rudely shoves you aside with his shoulder and swipes his card before you can even begin to protest, but anything you were about to say dissipates into thin air and is replaced upon seeing the name on his card.
“kunikuzushi?” you ask with mild surprise, reading the letters out loud.
the man’s shoulder tense up at the sound of his name coming from your lips but he’s quick to recover and clicks his tongue.
“don’t call me that.” he grumbles, typing in his pin with a little more force than necessary. despite his irritation expression, there’s a hint of amusement in the way he speaks that makes you think he truly is just putting up an act.
you watch him for a few beats to figure out if he’s serious or not before humming and nodding like you’ve just come to a conclusion.
“kuni it is then.”
kuni snaps his head around to glare at you, but the pink flush that stains the tips of his ears and cheekbones gives him away. “don’t call me that either.”
you give him an innocent smile and reach around him to grab the receipt and bag before heading to the exit, not bothering to wait and see if he follows. as expected, his footsteps approach from behind.
“cant believe i’m stuck living in the same complex as you.” kuni hisses under his breath when he catches up. you find yourself staring at his lip rings for a moment before ripping your eyes away.
“speaking of that,” you start to say, completely ignoring his prior words. “how long have you lived there? why haven’t i seen you before?”
kuni looks like he’d rather not answer, huffing an exasperated sigh. “around five months now.”
he won’t tell you much, but you force a little more small talk out of him until the two of you finally arrive back at the complex and scoop up the cat to bring her inside. she doesn’t make a sound once on the way up, and you can’t help but thank her silently for keeping quiet since you’re definitely not supposed to be doing this.
when you step inside, kuni’s apartment is clean and organized and dark just as you had expected. the walls are almost completely bare save for a few band posters and the only things decorating the small living room are a black leather couch and a tv on a simple glass stand. it takes no time at all to set things up while the white cat sniffs around the house and takes in her new surroundings.
the litter box gets tucked into a corner of the bathroom, the food and water dishes set on a mat by the kitchen counter, and a few toys are laid out around the place where she can bat them around as she pleases.
“you have to let me come visit whenever i want.” you demand when you’re finally being shooed out of the front door by him.
“what? absolutely not.” kuni snaps, turning back to give you an offended look.
“you have to! wouldn’t she be sad if she never saw me again? divorced parents both still get to see the kids.” you insist with full seriousness.
kuni watches you quietly, absentmindedly moving his lip rings back and forth with his tongue before sighing in defeat.
“fine, whatever.” he concedes. you’re about to pump your fist in delight, but he stops you to finish. “you can visit once a month.”
“one a week.”
“no.” he argues.
“please.”
your begging seems to do the trick, because kuni’s shoulders quickly drop in defeat when you look up at him with pleading eyes. “are you serio- fine. once a week.” he grumbles. “just get out now, it’s late.”
and so, because you’re fairly certain he’ll let you get away with it, you start showing up every night to see her.
kuni acts like it’s the biggest inconvenience ever when you turn up at his door every time after that, but he never denies you entry, begrudgingly stepping aside and letting you coddle the little white cat that lives with him.
you tell him about your day even if he insists he doesn’t care, and still listens intently and tells you about his when you ask in return. you learn more about him this way. he won’t tell you exactly what his job is, only that he works from home and occasionally takes small trips to collect something from people. it’s vague and makes no sense to you, but you don’t pry more than that.
he’ll sit on the couch while you kneel on the floor and throw her toys around, watching you laugh and fawn over her until he eventually kicks you out.
you discover that he’s actually incredibly easy to get along with, nowhere near as cold and unapproachable as he looks at first sight. he’s attentive and clever and loves nothing more than to laugh at your expense, but you find that you don’t mind letting him if it means you get to see the frown slip off of his face, even if just for a moment.
this little routine continues for almost an entire month before one night, kuni shoves his phone in your face with a grim expression. after pushing it away a bit to actually be able to see the screen, your heart sinks into the pit of your stomach.
it’s a missing pet post, with images of the little white cat attached.
after reading a bit, the situation becomes clear. her family had gone on vacation and hired someone to watch her, but that person let her escape and never said a word about it. her family didn't find out until they returned to her being gone, and were now clearly frantically searching for her and hoping she was still alive.
“oh no,” you whisper sadly, looking towards the feline who’s happily curled up on the couch. when you meet kuni’s eyes, he almost looks a bit torn.
“i’m calling them tomorrow.” he informs you bluntly.
“wait, but-“ you start, trying to ignore the stinging burn of tears that threaten to fill your eyes. seeing the cat, seeing him, has become something to look forward to in the last month. the thought of seeing her go has a lump forming in your throat, bringing with it the selfish urge to keep her for yourself instead of doing the right thing and taking her back.
“her family needs her. she needs to go home.” kuni says in a way that shows he’s trying his best to be sympathetic.
even though he seems fine for the most part, there’s no way he isn’t going to miss her. he took the risk of letting her stay with him, and went out of his way to make sure she was comfortable and well taken care of.
“i know, you’re right. i just…” you trail off quietly, fingernails digging into your palms.
kuni meets your eyes, and a moment of silent understanding rushes between you like a heavy current.
“i know.”
the next day, she gets returned to her very relieved family. kuni takes care of it since you’re not home, and then a week passes by, as slow and miserable as ever. you have no reason to go over to kuni’s apartment anymore, so you haven’t spoken to him since, and every night you go straight to your own place and spend the evenings by yourself.
it’s impossible not to miss the sweet little cat, the pleasant trill of her meows and the softness of her sides rubbing against your legs.
but it’s even more impossible not to miss kuni. the way he always waited for you to stop talking before he answered, the way he would open and close the door for you even while telling you to get out of his hair, the sound of his stifled laughter when you would trip over a cat toy or mess up your words.
one night, when you come home late as per usual, kuni is sitting at the bottom of the stairs appearing bored out of his mind. you don’t even notice him at first, but when you do your whole body freezes in fear until you realize who it is.
“you scared me!” you accuse sharply, slightly irked by the unapologetic look on his face.
he’s as attractive as ever, his red lined eyes creased together in amusement as he watches you gather your bearings. it may just be a trick of the light, but kuni seems almost nervous as he stands up and approaches you.
“did you eat dinner?” he asks while shoving his hands into his sweatshirt pockets, shifting his weight from one foot to another.
“um,” you respond intelligently, willing your eyes not to stray away to his lip rings. “no?”
he clicks his tongue and turns to start climbing up the stairs. “then come on.”
you follow after him wordlessly, having an internal battle the whole way up over whether or not he just asked you out or if you’re reading way too much into this.
why was he even waiting for you tonight? he barely managed to put up with you whenever you came to pester him and the cat, so there’s no way he’s actually interested in you… right?
“you eat meat, yeah?” kuni asks as he opens the door for you and waits for you to step inside. his apartment is the same as you remember, the only difference being one less cat and a navy throw blanket folded over the back of the couch.
brushing off the way it makes your heart twinge sadly, you take off your shoes and nod. “yeah, i do.”
“good.”
in the next thirty minutes of comfortable silence that pass, you find yourself sitting on the couch and helplessly watching as kuni moves around the kitchen and prepares something with practiced ease. the sleeves of his sweatshirt are rolled up to his elbows as he works, showing off his pale forearms in an all too distracting way.
his bangs keep falling into his eyes and every time he tries to blow them out of the way you have to fight back a smile. his hair was a bit shorter when you had first met, so he must be due for a haircut by now.
it’s strange to think that in the last month you had managed to become so fond of this grumpy stranger who nearly tried to fight you over a lost cat, but there’s no denying the way your heart rate picks up when he glances over and catches you staring every now and then.
as the delicious smell of stir fry fills the place and your mouth water uncontrollably, you make your way over to the small dining table and take a seat at one of the chairs. kuni carries two plates over and places them down before sitting opposite of you.
“sooo,” you finally break the silence. “what’s all this about?”
“eat.” kuni ignores you, gesturing to your plate with his fork.
“but i-“
“eat.” he repeats himself, a bit louder than last time. his violet eyes narrow in your direction when you raise a teasing brow at him.
“fine.” you huff. when you stab some of the food with your fork and shovel it into your mouth, you can’t stop the shock that spreads over your face as the flavor hits your tongue.
“it’s good!” you gush in genuine surprise. you never would have thought he was good at cooking.
“of course it is.” kuni says proudly, finally digging into his own portion. he gives a small satisfactory hum as he chews, and you feel your heart twinge again - this time for another reason entirely.
“come over again for dinner tomorrow.” he says with no room for negotiation before taking another bite and avoiding your eyes. the tips of his ears are visibly pink despite the low light and you agree easily with a muffled laugh.
“why are you looking at me like that?” kuni asks suspiciously after he swallows his mouthful, realizing you’ve been watching him a few moments later.
you smile knowingly and look away. “no reason.”
it seems that as fate would have it, finding that little lost white cat was only the beginning.

So hi, I really love your work!! And, if you're doing requests, can you please do a hc with Zenitsu, Tanjiro and Inosuke x Gn reader who is a cleaner at the Butterfly Mansion and they're the only one that cleans up after other people, basically a maid if that's how you want to put it.
PS. You don't have to, but I really love your work and have a great day and take care.
hello! i absolutely am in love with this idea and i think it’s super cute! thank you for requesting this 😭🫶 - you take care as well :)
ꨄ—————————————————————ꨄ
Tanjiro Kamado:
y/n was a new worker at the butterfly mansion and they were cleaning up after everyone who had dinner, taking plates cups etc.
tanjiro was admiring them as they cleaned and so he went in to ask if they needed any help.
“Hey I’m Tanjiro Kamado, nice to meet you!”
he said in a kind and joyful filled voice, y/n smiled at him and continued to clear the table.
tanjiro was a little shocked they didn’t say anything back but he spoke again nevertheless.
“Do you need any help? H-here let me get that for you. Seems a lot to pile up huh?”
“Oh y-you don’t need to do that, I can do it.”
they tried to take some plates back from tanjiro but he swiftly shook his head and smiled as he took them to the sink.
“Don’t worry, you’ve been working hard. Let me help you out ok?”
their face seemed to be blushing and a little bit surprised, they smiled and nodded as they got the rest off the table.
“Ok.”
it was breathy and they washed the dishes together talking and laughing.
♡︎♡︎♡︎
Inosuke Hashibira:
y/n was outside watering the flowers of the butterfly mansion again when they noticed inosuke staring again.
“Inoooo! Your staring at them again!”
zenitsu tried to move inosuke out his daze but he wouldn’t budge, zen then opened his mouth and gasped as he smiled and poked ino’s cheek while he twisted his finger giggling at inosuke
“You really like them huh?”
“What was that?”
“I said you-”
“I heard what you said! You couldn’t be more wrong!”
“But you were staring at y/n again.”
“Your a dead man! You wanna fight me?!”
just then y/n has passed by to get more water for the other flowers, inosuke stopped yelling at zenitsu and watched them as they walked by admiring them. zenitsu was giggling and inosuke punched his face without even looking. he kept his eyes on y/n as they made their way to finish watering the flowers.
later that same day inosuke was with tanjiro and zenitsu outside eating dinner when y/n came up to inosuke with something in their hand.
“I noticed you looking at the flowers specially the daisy’s and so I made this for you.”
y/n gave inosuke a flower crown and he took it from them as he blushed of pure shock and embarrassment. tanjiro and zenitsu made the same noise as they put their food down watching the scene.
“Where do I put this?”
they giggled at his question before speaking, he looked confused.
“On your head silly! I’ll see you tomorrow, goodnight guys.”
y/n said before walking into the mansion, inosuke’s face was docked but lovingly almost.
♡︎♡︎♡︎
Zenitsu Agatsuma:
zenitsu was watching in awe as y/n who worked at the butterfly mansion was cooking everyone lunch. he was watching them cook as he sat at the table. y/n looked over at zen.
“Hungry are we?”
“Huh? I-ohh yeah I’m super hungry~”
he tried to play off his staring but continued as they looked back to the food they were making. zenitsu sighed a little. resting his face on the table not looking away from them.
“Don’t worry, the food will be ready very soon.”
they quickly looked at zenitsu ad looked away smiling at him looking at them cook, they then waved zenitsu to go over to them. he listened.
“Try this and tell me if you like it.”
they reached the spoon out for zenitsu to try and he took a bite, he smiled warmly and nodded his head rapidly.
“You like it?”
“It’s really amazing Y/n! How did you learn how to cook?”
“I taught myself when I was younger and loved cooking for others ever since.”
they noticed zenitsu was just blushing now staring at them as they mixed the food together.
“What are you staring at?”
y/n said with a smile on their face, zenitsu didn’t think of what he just said and watched her again like a lost puppy.
“You.”
they didn’t even mention it to him later that he was in a daze instead they started cooking for him more often.

Childhood Crush
Chapter 11: Zinc
Killer x gn!reader word count: 2.7k a/n: ngl, i rewrote this like three times lmfao next
“You know, when I invited you to stay for dinner, that doesn’t meant you had to make it,” Myra said with a small laugh as she sat at the table with you and her daughter. You were currently serving up some food. “What are these called, y/n?”
“They’re cabbage rolls.” Tell someone you’re missing your brother without telling them that you’re missing your brother.
“They look so good!” Lily was grinning ear to ear. “Let them cool off a little first, then start eating them.” The girl nodded excitedly, bouncing up and down in her seat.
“Do you have children of your own?” You looked at Myra, shaking your head. “No, I have a little brother. I raised him and his friends were always around too. It was like I was a mother of three from my teens.” You never really considered Killer as one of the ones you raised. If anything, he helped you wrangle them in.
“Sounds like quite the handful you grew up with.” There was a fond smile on Myra’s face. You laughed, shaking your head. “You have no idea.” You finished serving everyone, sitting down at the table.
You make idle chit chat with the both of them, feeling the best you’ve felt in a while. You didn’t realize how much you craved human interaction until now. You’d been holing up for so long, you were going somewhat insane.
Myra asked a lot about you and you asked about them. Turns out this was an island of scientists. They had the most advanced medicines and groundbreaking search. They even had a training facility. With an island with as much knowledge as they had, they had to be able to defend themselves.
“Can I visit the lab?” you asked.
Myra laughed and nodded. “Absolutely. We can go in the morning. Do you need a place to stay for the night?”
“Oo! Can y/n sleep with me! I wanna have a sleepover!”
“Oh, I’m sure they want to have their own space to sleep, but I’m sure they’d love to read you a bedtime story.” Myra looked up at you, winking. You caught on.
“Absolutely. Whatever you want me to read, just let me know.” You smiled. Lily seemed bummed about not sharing a bed, but she was content with being able to have a story read to her by you.
After dinner, you went to go tuck in Lily, reading her a book. It didn’t take her long to fall asleep and you headed back downstairs. “She asleep?” Myra came out of the kitchen drying her hands from the dishes. You had tried to do them, but she had shooed you away. “You cooked, so I’ll clean,” she had said.
“”Yeah. Out like a light.” You let out a small chuckle. “I remember when my brother was that little. We didn’t really have story books though, so I just came up with whatever.”
“Sounds like you raised him the best you could.”
“I tried…” You shook your head, trying not to dwell on things.
“Anyway. Thanks for letting me stick around. I can get out of your hair-”
“You’re staying, remember?”
“Oh, you don’t have to.”
“I’m well aware. But you’re coming to the lab in the morning anyway, so this’ll be the easiest way.” She shrugged, smiling at you. You squirm a little and nod. “O-Okay. Thanks.”
“Would you like some tea? I want to poke your brain a little more. You said some interesting things at dinner that I’d like to know about.”
You blinked, nodding. “Uh, sure. Yeah. Whatever you wanna know.”
Myra and you talked well into the night. You told her some of the things you made and she seemed absolutely interested in everything you had to say. She asked questions when she had them and even seemed impressed with some of the things you accomplished. You were flustered to say the least.
Who knows, maybe if tomorrow went well, you could stay.
--
“Doctor Ziegler! Welcome back!” There was a chorus of greetings as you walked into the lab with Myra the next morning. Turns out Myra was pretty much the head of the whole island. She was the top dog. Talk about insane coincidence. That had to be a sign that you were meant to be here.
Myra showed you around and you were in awe. There were machines that you were seeing that you had never even thought could exist. There was so much you could learn here and from what Myra said, so much you could teach them as well.
They all had been raised around science while you had to pretty much teach it to yourself. You had more practical methods for some things. You held a new perspective that they were looking for.
At the end of the day, Myra had a proposition for you.
“What if you stayed here? You could stay at my place.”
You just stared at her in disbelief. You still couldn’t believe this was happening. You were seeing so many amazing things and now this amazing woman was asking you to stay. To help provide them with new insights.
“I-” You took a deep breath, trying to process it.
A laugh came from Myra. “I know it’s a lot to take in. Don’t feel like you need to answer immediately. You can take some time if you need. I know you’re a pirate n’ all, but I feel like you’d be an excellent addition to our team.” She smiled warmly at you.
“Ah, yeah…let me think about it. I’ll get back to you in the morning.”
With that, you left. You needed to talk to your brother first and foremost. While you walked back to the ship, you were mulling over your options. Honestly, they were all pointing to staying. You were looking for an excuse to leave the crew at this point. Plus, if you stayed and furthered your own knowledge, perhaps you could finally be of use to your brother. You could make better medicines. Hell, you might even be able to get your arm back.
For the first time in a long time, you felt hopeful.
--
“Absolutely not.” Eustass wouldn’t even entertain the idea of you staying, but you weren’t going to let him squash your dreams.
“Bold of you to assume I’m asking.” You glared at him with your hands on your hips. He dropped the box he had with a groan, turning on you. “Bigs, I’m not letting you stay at some random island just cause you want to.”
He glared at you. “You fucking disappear for two days and now you just wanna fuckin’ stay? Leave us? Like hell I’m letting you do that.”
You just stared at him. The audacity of this kid sometimes. “Listen. I’m staying and that’s final. There’s a lot of shit I can learn here. And you guys have things you need to do.”
“Killer!”
“I’m not touching this one, captain. This is all you.”
Eustass cursed at Killer who didn’t even respond, letting him say what he wanted. You sighed. “I know you’re worried. But, I’ll come find you, okay? I’ll only stay maybe a year or two. There’s a lot I can learn from here. I’ll come back with more ways to help out the crew.”
He looked at you for a long moment. “Whatever. Do whatever the fuck you want.” Then he turns on his heels and stomps on the ship. You run a hand through your hair. You weren’t expecting it to end up that badly. You thought that after your last fight he’d be willing to just let you leave.
“Y/N!” You turn around to see Dive, like her namesake, diving off the ship and towards you. You don’t have time to move as she collides into you, but you braced for impact just enough to catch her. “For fuck’s sake, Dive!”
She just cackled as she hung off of you as if she was some small child. Well, she was shaped like one. She looked up at you, jumping off. “I heard you talking when I was passing.” She frowned deeply. “Are you really leaving?”
You nodded, sighing as you sat down on a box. “Yes. But it’s just for a little bit, I swear.” You smiled at her. She narrowed her eyes. “Don’t lie to me I literally heard you tell the captain a year or two. That isn’t a little bit at all.”
“Well, in the grand scheme of things - that’s not very long.”
“That’s years, y/n! That’s such a long time,” she groaned, flopping onto your lap. “What am I supposed to do without you?”
“Oh, I’m sure you’ll figure out something to do. Just…don’t chew on the ship.”
She looked at you, a devious glint in her eye. “If you leave, there’s no stopping me from chewing on the ship.” Your face turned into a deadpan. “I will leave you with nothing to strengthen your teeth if you act like that.”
Her eyes widened and she pursed her lips. “Mmm, fine. I’ll behave.” She folded her arms and pouted. “Fuckin’ dumb,” she grumbled. “Why do you have to go?” she whined.
You sighed, leaning back on your hands. “Because…” A certain face popped into your mind, immediately souring your mood. “I could learn a lot here. Then when I come back I’ll have even cooler shit for you guys.”
Dive seemed to mull it over. “I still think you’re just fine.” Honestly, you were a little shocked right now. You weren’t expecting Dive to try to get you to stay. Or anyone really. Not from what Kese had said. Maybe he had been lying? Or maybe this was some elaborate plan to keep you on the ship so that Eustass didn’t have to worry.
But you didn’t want him to feel obligated to watch over you anymore. Besides, you had already dug your grave and made your decision. You were staying.
After a few more minutes of shooting the shit with Dive, you headed to your lab to start gathering your things.
While you were packing up your things, members of the crew came to say goodbye. You still weren’t sure how the hell to feel about everything. Was this your brother’s ploy to make you feel bad and stay? You appreciated the sentiment, but you weren’t going to stay. You knew you’d only hold him back.
Later that night, you’re packing up your things in the lab. You hear a knock on your doorframe. You look to see Eustass, Killer, Heat, and Wire standing there. You fully turn towards them. “Hello?” You’re confused, but not exactly unhappy to see them.
Heat walks over to you, wrapping his arms around you in a firm hug as he lifts you off the floor. You sputtered in confusion for a moment, blinking rapidly as you were processing what was going on. “We’re gonna miss you.” Then he set you down and you looked up at him. You offered a small smile. “I’m gonna miss you too.
“Be safe, y/n.” Wire was speaking this time in his usual cool tone. You look at him and nod. “Always.” There was a somber mood and this was the calmest you had seen some of them, but you supposed this was also the first time you weren’t going to see them for an extended amount of time in…almost a decade? And you’ve been at your brother’s side since he was born.
“We did make something for you,” Eustass said with a bit of a grimace on his face. It seemed like he was accepting he couldn’t stop you, but he was still clearly not happy about it. At least he was respecting your wishes.
Killer stepped forward, presenting a sheathed knife to you. You looked at the four of them before taking it gently in your hands. “We wanted you to have something to defend yourself on the new island,” Killer said. “Can’t have you dying on us,” Wire chimed in. You laughed gently, a fond expression forming on your face.
“We were gonna wait for your birthday, but…” Eustass dropped off his sentence, folding his arms and looking away. “Someone wants to fuckin’ leave.” He was straight up pouting and it was honestly very amusing.
You took the knife out, wrapping your hand around the grip. It was absolutely stunning. The metal was different colors depending on the lighting and it seemed to have a slight curve to it. Much akin to the scythes you had made for Killer all those years ago. You saw your brother’s jolly roger in the hilt and etched into the base of the blade itself.
You felt your face soften and tears start forming in your eyes. “You guys are so fuckin’ sweet,” you grumbled, sniffling. You wiped your tears away, putting the blade up and quickly attaching it to your belt.
“We’re gonna miss you,” Killer said. You nodded, looking at all of them. “And I’m gonna miss you all too.” Your brother walked up to you, easily towering you, and you looked up at him. There was a mixture of emotions on his face, but it seemed he finally gave in. He hugged you tightly - you holding him in turn.
“I’m so proud of you, Tungsten. Remember that, alright?” You felt him tense for a moment before hugging you a little tighter. You just smiled fondly. Honestly, you were worried what would happen if you weren’t around, but you knew they’d hold their own. After all, how the hell would you protect them anyway? You needed this. All you had done your entire life was take care of them and it was time for you to figure out your own thing.
At least for a little while.
“Don’t die on us, Bigs,” Eustass mumbled, clearing his throat. You let out a small laugh, pulling away from him and taking his face in your hands. You grinned widely. “You should know it takes a lot to kill a roach like me.” He stared for a moment before letting out his own large grin. “Fuck yeah. That’s right.”
“Just make sure none of you die on me, okay?” you said, stepping back and looking at the four of them. You placed your hands on your hips. “I swear to fuck that if any of you die - I will personally bring you back and end your lives myself, got it?” You narrowed your eyes at them. They all just laughed at you, your own smile spreading across your face.
You felt…at peace right now. You weren’t thinking of Kese or the things he said. You were starting to think he was wrong but…this was something that needed to happen. Your brother needed to be able to grow without you. They all did. And you needed to be able to do your own thing.
One by one, they filed out until Killer was the only one left. “It’s nice to see that spark of life in your eye again. I just wish you weren’t leaving for us to have seen it again.” You blinked, feeling your face warm up. You didn’t even realize how much you had changed yourself.
“Listen…” You looked up at him as he spoke, tilting your head to the side. “Hm?”
“I…” He paused, rubbing the back of his neck. “Be careful, yeah?”
You blinked. It seemed like he had wanted to say something else, but you were letting it go. You smiled at him. “Yeah. Don’t worry. I’ll come back to you guys in one piece, alright?” He nodded, quickly leaving after that.
That was weird.
--
After saying their goodbyes to you, they all bid you farewell. As the ship sailed off, everyone was waving and yelling their sentiments to you. Eustass was standing with his usual three people. “So…did you tell ‘em?”
Killer tensed but deflated, earning sighs from the others. Heat and Wire walked off, throwing their hands in the air.
“Fucking hopeless,” Eustass said with a shake of his head.

So, tomorrow is my birthday, and I'm trying really hard to calm my anxiety about the US Presidential Election, so I've picked a prompt from my Fall Menu and I'm gonna write it for myself. At least for a little while, it should distract me from the impending sense of doom I'm currently feeling.
Order #11
“I’ll be honest: I get off to the thought of you.” Lucifer x GN!MC
It started with a bottle of Demonus and a writing assignment.
This semester, I'm taking a theater class to improve my acting skills for RAD's Improv Club. I've done okay so far, but I've been told multiple times that I have a stick up my ass and need to relax. Maybe not in those exact words, but I'm pretty good at reading between the lines.
I suppose in this way, my pride is a detriment to my performance. I'm afraid of looking stupid in front of other people, especially when they're much more knowledgeable about a subject than I am. I feel rather nervous whenever I'm standing in front of the class, reading lines out loud. If I mess up, I feel like they'd all start mocking me. Word would spread across campus about how the Avatar of Pride isn't good at something, and everyone would stop taking me seriously.
Insecurity is a bitch sometimes.
Tonight's assignment is to write a monologue that starts with the line, I'll be honest: I get off to the thought of you. The professor will read through all of them and select a couple that he wants read out loud in class. Of course, being the prideful and competitive man I am, I want to be among that group. It would be nice to excel at this and essentially prove everyone wrong.
That's where the Demonus comes in.
I honestly tried my best to attack this sober, but the only thing I've successfully written in the past hour is the prompt itself. Nothing else has looked or sounded right. I figured the wine would help calm my frustration and somehow inspire me.
Two glasses should do it, at least as a start.
A gentle knock on the door interrupts me as soon as I've finished pouring glass number one. There's only one person in this entire House that has the decency to knock quietly.
"Come in," I call out, taking a sip of Demonus. The door slowly creaks open and closed as they enter the room.
"I brought you dinner." A plate soon gets set on a clean spot on my desk, away from any paperwork. "I figured you were in for a busy night when you rushed in here as soon as we returned from class, and I didn't want you to go hungry."
"Thanks." I quickly glance up at MC to acknowledge their presence before returning to the assignment at hand. However, I inadvertently meet their gaze, and I'm suddenly unable to look away.
Perhaps it's the lighting that makes them alluring in a t-shirt and sweatpants, or maybe I accidentally grabbed a stronger bottle than usual when I was at the store. In any case, seeing them causes ideas to begin pour into my head.
"Do you need to do anything else this evening?" I ask, my voice sounding oddly desperate.
"Not necessarily," they answer. "I mean, I was wanting to get a jump start on a project, but it can wait until tomorrow."
"Good. Would you mind taking a seat? I need you for something."
"Of course. What do you need me to do?"
"Just be here with me. I'll explain once I'm done writing." MC dutifully sits in one of the chairs across from me and pulls out their DDD as I begin scribbling furiously in my notebook. I can always rewrite this to look neater later, but if I don't get these ideas out of my head now, I'm afraid they're not going to appear again, and I really need to prove a point.
I can be vulnerable. I just need to be around the right person in order for that to happen, and if I can channel that into this monologue, then surely I'll get chosen to read it out loud, right?
~~~
"There. All done."
"I'm pleasantly surprised, Lucifer. You've managed to finish before I began nodding off." I playfully glare at MC, who reacts by sticking their tongue out at me.
Fuck, they're adorable.
I briefly explain the assignment to them, and they're astute enough to know that I want to read what I've written to them. Mostly so that they can help me edit, but this little exercise ended up morphing into a confession of sorts.
They need to hear these words come out of my mouth exactly as I've written them.
"Whenever you're ready, I'm all ears," they tell me. Clearing my throat, I begin reciting my monologue.
I'll be honest, I get off to the thought of you. Your smile, your scent, your sense of humor...everything about you turns me on. You have me wrapped around your finger in a way that no one else has before. I want to please you, and I'll do anything for your approval. Just the thought of you makes my heart skip a beat, and my pulse quicken. I want you more than words can describe. So, let me show you just how much I adore you. I'll do whatever you say, be whatever you want me to be, and give you all the pleasure in the world. Just the thought of holding you in my arms is enough to drive me wild. I crave you.
I want to feel your lips pressed against mine. To feel your warm breath against my skin. To hear the sound of your voice as you whisper sweet nothings into my ear. To touch every inch of your body and memorize every curve. To be yours, and for you to be mine. I want to hear the sound of your voice as you moan my name. To know that it's me making you experience true ecstasy would make me the happiest man in the world.
I love you, body and soul. Just let me prove it to you. I promise you won't regret it.
Looking up from my notebook reveals a blushing MC fiddling with the hem of their shirt.
"That was well-done," they mumble. "I'm sure you'll get high marks." They momentarily pause, swallowing nervously. "Can I ask you something?"
I nod my head, closing the notebook so they have my undivided attention.
"Did you have any other plans this evening?" They sound fearful. Are they afraid I'll reject their request?
"None that don't involve you." They initially open their mouth to respond, but quickly close it as my words fully register in their head.
"I see." Another swallow. "I haven't exactly been in this position before. Usually I'm the one submitting to other people. Are you sure you want me to do this?" I walk around my desk and stand in front of them, reaching down to touch the side of their face.
"My dear, silly little lamb, I wouldn't have said it if I didn't mean it. Besides, most of the hard work has been done already. All you have to do is give me an order. You don't even have to use the pact to get me to obey. I'll do whatever you say."
"Within reason?" I chuckle.
"I trust your judgement." MC closes their eyes and takes a deep breath.
"I want you in my bed. I know it's much smaller than yours, but--"
"Done. What else?" My interruption catches them off guard.
"Well...um..."
"Breathe." After MC takes another moment to compose themselves, they whisper,
"I wanna ride you."
December Traditions | Dina x gn!reader
Pairings: Dina x reader (romantic), Dina x Jesse (platonic), Jesse x reader (platonic), Ellie x reader (platonic), Ellie x Dina (platonic)
Type of fic: Fluff
Warnings: None
Summary: You made a tradition between you and Dina that during December right before Christmas you make gifts and cards for people who may not be so lucky and get gifts or are forgotten about.
———————
Snow fell gently outside the foggy window, the world beyond bathed in a pale December glow. Dina sat cross-legged on the living room rug, a stack of blank cards on one side and an array of markers and stickers on the other. She was biting her lip in concentration, carefully tracing her fifth attempt at a snowman while you worked on the gift pile nearby.
“This one doesn’t look… wonky, right?” Dina asked, holding up the card for you to inspect.
You glanced up from where you were wrapping a mismatched scarf and gloves, the paper slightly crumpled but still charming in its imperfection. Her snowman was delightfully uneven, with a lopsided carrot nose and googly eyes that made it look a little manic.
“I think it’s perfect,” you replied with a soft laugh, setting the gift aside and scooting closer to her. “It’s got personality.”
She grinned, leaning over to kiss your cheek. “That’s just a nice way of saying it’s wonky, but I’ll take it.”
For the past year, this had been your thing. When you first suggested the idea last December—making cards and gathering small gifts for people who might not have much to celebrate—Dina had been all in. It wasn’t just about the act itself; it was about the way it brought the community closer, reminding everyone that someone cared.
“I think Ruth will love this,” Dina said, tucking her snowman card into an envelope. “She always talks about how much she misses the snow in Colorado.”
“She’s gonna love it,” you assured her, reaching over to place a hand on her knee. “Especially if you add one of those peppermint sticks to it. She’s obsessed with those.”
Dina nodded, grabbing a box of candy canes from the pile. “You’re a genius, you know that?”
You smirked, returning to the pile of gifts. “I try.”
The two of you fell into a comfortable rhythm. Dina handled the cards with her creative flair, while you wrapped each gift with meticulous care—though the supplies you had scavenged weren’t exactly the easiest to work with. Paper was sometimes old, tape was in short supply, and ribbons were often frayed. But it didn’t matter. What mattered was the intention.
“Remember last year?” Dina said, breaking the silence. “When Jesse found that ridiculous singing Santa hat in the pile of stuff we gave him?”
You chuckled. “Oh, I remember. He wore it all week, and it drove everyone nuts.”
“And then Ellie stole it and hid it in the barn.”
“She’s definitely getting a card with extra glitter this year,” you teased.
Dina snorted. “And we’re getting blamed for the mess.”
As the hours passed, the pile of finished cards and wrapped presents grew. Some gifts were simple—knitted socks, baked goods, or handmade trinkets—but each one had been carefully chosen. For those you didn’t have gifts for, the cards were filled with warm wishes and reminders that they weren’t forgotten.
By the time you were done, the living room was a mess of shredded paper, empty tape rolls, and sticker backings. Dina sat back on her heels, surveying the chaos with a satisfied smile.
“I think we outdid ourselves this year,” she said.
“We definitely did,” you agreed, leaning your head against her shoulder. “And we’ve still got time to deliver them before everyone heads to the dinner tomorrow.”
Dina slipped an arm around you, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. “This was a really good idea, you know. Last year, this year… every year. It’s our thing now.”
You smiled, turning to meet her eyes. “Yeah, it is.”
Outside, the snow continued to fall, blanketing the world in quiet. Inside, wrapped in Dina’s warmth, you felt the kind of peace that came from knowing you were making a difference—together.
And that was the best tradition of all.
Old Friends
Summary: Reunions aren’t always happy.
Pairings: ScarletWidow x GN!Stark!Reader
Genre: Fluff and Angst
Warnings: Bullying, panic attacks, high school (of course that’s a warning), mentions of disordered eating.
Requested: YES/no
Words: 3,111
A/N: May 20th at 5pm, I will be closing my requests as I have some upcoming uni exams to study for. I will still be writing, but I’ll be writing on the side when I’m trying not to burn out from understanding the difference between alkenes and alkanes :’)
*not my gifs*
You sat at your chair in the meeting room with your girls opposite you, their paperwork going smoothly whilst you did some work for your parents - answering emails from workers, doing some calculations for your dad and some financing for your mom.
“Y/N/N…” Wanda grinned at you, biting her bottom lip.
“Yes, Wanda?” You answered, not looking up from your screen.
“Have I told you how awesome you look today? I mean, Tasha’s training sessions with you have been showing through…”
You looked at her for two seconds before you pushed your glasses up on your nose. “Thank you, baby, but I’m not doing your paperwork for you.”
She let out an annoyed groan and sank into her chair, making you and Natasha chuckle whilst the redhead finished.
“What?! How?!” Wanda complained as Natasha kicked her feet up on the table.
“Simple - get it done.”
“Tasha, boots.” You warned her and she stuck her tongue out at you, your head shaking.
Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t.
“Come on, Wanda, you’re just writing a recount of what you did on the mission.” You smiled softly, leaving your computer to the side for a moment.
“What am I supposed to say? I threw a few wiggly woos around and got the info?” She grumbled sarcastically, making Natasha laugh but you didn’t.
Instead, you stood and moved around the table, picking the witch up before sitting in her chair and placing her on your lap. She giggled softly and you kissed her neck, watching Natasha lean on your shoulder before giving her a kiss too.
You watched Wanda write smoothly, her handwriting neat and bubbly whilst Natasha’s was swift. You tucked your hand underneath Wanda’s shirt and lightly tickled her stomach with your nails, making her squeal lightly at your cold fingers.
Finally, after a page and a half of recounting, she clicked her pen and placed it on top, turning around in your lap to face you, straddling your legs with hers.
“Can I have a kiss?” She asked and you nodded, giving her one.
A loud ping from your laptop interrupted and Wanda turned it around to see the screen. You asked her to bring it towards you and hand you the mouse, which she did, and you clicked on the new email.
Across the screen in bold, bright letters read ‘Y/N Stark, you have been invited to the reunion of your high school class at Midtown High! Please RSVP no later than tomorrow night so numbers and tables can be organised. Plus ones are, of course, welcome! Drinks and dinner will be served and payment is at the door. Further details are at the RSVP link below!’.
“A high school reunion? What’s that?” Wanda asked, trying to put her arms into your sleeves even though yours were already in there.
“It’s where people from your graduating year all gather to catch up and see what everyone is doing.” Natasha answered as she pulled Wanda off of you and onto her whilst grabbing a blanket.
“Should I RSVP?” You questioned.
“I think so. It might be nice seeing all of your old friends.” Wanda smiled, nuzzling into Natasha’s warmth.
You opened the website and filled in the form to RSVP, stating that you’d be bringing two plus ones before submitting it. You closed your laptop and looked over at your girls, smirking as Wanda was ‘annoying’ Natasha by taking most of the blanket.
“Come here, softie.” You grinned, picking up the witch whilst the Widow followed behind you.
You went to the movie room and grabbed the extra big blanket your dad had gifted for your latest birthday before you lightly threw Wanda onto one of the couches, smirking as she squeaked. You landed next to her whilst Natasha ended up on the other side of her, giving herself enough blanket to keep warm.
You shivered slightly and watched as Wanda’s magic surrounded you, tucking you in close to her whilst the blanket was moved to cut off all of the cold air around you. She kissed your cheek softly and you nuzzled into her, thriving with her warm Sokovian skin.
“You’re always warm. Both of you.” You mumbled as the movie began to play.
“We were born in Sokovia and Russia, Y/N.” Natasha smirked, leaning across Wanda to kiss you softly.
“I’m right here.” Wanda grumbled.
“Yeah, but you kissed them earlier.” Natasha shot back quickly, making Wanda grumble and sink towards you.
“Sulky baby.” You murmured, kissing underneath her eye softly.
“Tasha’s being a meanie.” Wanda whined and you snickered, holding Wanda closely.
“You can be my heater tonight, Wands. Tasha can have a turn tomorrow.”
She smiled against the skin of your neck and kissed it before you felt her breathing even out, holding her close as you fell asleep too.
After a few days, you received another email, showing the table groups, pricing and dress code for the reunion - it was a cocktail, and you knew your girls were going to try and steal the show.
Now, the night of the party had come. FRIDAY had helped you design an outfit from your father’s nanites and you watched it crawl onto your body, a simple black suit with a white dress suit.
You stood nervously by the door and waited for your girls. It was almost time to leave and they were giggling upstairs, no doubt a cause of Wanda’s antics that never failed to make you smile.
One thing you hadn’t told them was your past.
Their’s, although more traumatic, were much more interesting than yours. Wanda had interacted with an Infinity Stone to get her powers, whilst Natasha had extensive training to get to where she was today. You? You got bullied, teased, absolutely annihilated because of your father and your intellect.
It wasn’t your fault, you were just… smart. You got A’s on tests without even trying and your projects never failed to wow your teachers. You won the first place award in your science fair regularly whilst being in the band too. You remembered your bullies well, and although you were sure that they had probably left those antics in the past, it didn’t mean it hurt any less.
“Ahem.”
Broken out of your thoughts, you looked up to see your girls standing at the top of the stairs. Wanda was in a dashing velvet-red suit with a white dress shirt underneath and her hair hanging off of her shoulders beautifully whilst Natasha wore a grey version of the suit, her hair tucked up into a bun.
Your jaw literally fell and they came down the stairs to kiss you softly, their makeup carefully constructed whilst a few hints of magic upon their lips didn’t smudge their handiwork.
“And… there.” Wanda closed your mouth and chuckled.
“You two are gonna be the death of me.” You muttered, getting into the back of the car whilst Natasha sat in the front and Wanda sat next to her.
The car ride was mostly silent, there wasn’t a need for conversation when it was just you three. Presence was all you needed, but you would have liked a distraction from the thoughts rambling in your head.
What if your bullies were there tonight? Would you react badly? Would you ignore them? What if they tried to talk to you? You couldn’t be childish and just ignore them, that would be rude. But what if they were still like that?
You were glad to have had the training against telepaths by Wanda as your thoughts were hidden behind that maze, making her unable to hear those daunting questions. Soon, you arrived, and rolling up in a Lamborghini Estoque was your first mistake.
You stepped out and immediately saw multiple eyes on you, helping Wanda and Natasha out before you closed the doors and locked the car. With the both of them holding your hands, you led them to the entrance and paid the pricing for the three of you.
“Alright, we do have some name tags for everyone just so that plus ones can mingle without the awkwardness of not knowing names.” The cashier smiled at you three before you walked in.
Immediately, you remembered what the gym used to look like. The updated benches around the basketball court were nothing like the dingy seats you used to have. The courts used to never be painted, now you could see they were being painted weekly.
“Wow! Honey, this is so cool!” Wanda smiled widely as she saw the decorations of blue and gold balloons, ribbons and whatnot.
“Yeah, very cool.” You answered.
“Hey, are you okay? You seem off.” Natasha’s hand fell to the base of your back but you shook your head, putting on a smile.
“I’m okay.”
She didn’t believe you, but Wanda was too distracted to help confirm her suspicion. So, she went along and met some of your old friends, glancing at the tables list to find where you would be sitting so she could put her stuff down.
“Babes, I’ll be back.” She spoke to you both as she made her way to your table, finding your labelled names.
She scanned the other places until she bumped into a man sitting down in one of them, jumping away as he chuckled loudly.
“And who are you? Natasha… nice to meet you, beautiful. I’m Jack.”
She already didn’t like him.
“Hi Jack.” She smiled falsely, but he couldn’t tell the difference.
“Who are you here with?” He asked her, sipping on his beer.
“Y/N.” She stated, sitting in the empty chair next to him.
“Pah! You came with them? Really? Didn’t think they’d make any friends after high school.” He shrugged.
“Oh really? Why’s that?”
“They were just… weird, you know? Too smart for their own good, doing everything but sports.”
“Let me guess, you were the captain of the football team.”
Jack raised an eyebrow as he eyed Natasha’s chest. “I see Y/N told you about me. Was that the only truth they told?”
Her eyebrows furrowed. “My partner doesn’t lie to me.”
“Doesn’t? Or are you too daft to notice?” He smirked, watching her stand and walk towards you.
“Who’s Jack to you?” She asked straight up, interrupting your conversation with an ex-band friend.
She didn’t miss the confused look in your eyes. “There’s a few Jack’s in my class, Tasha.”
She eyed the man at your table but didn’t see your cheeks get drained of colour, turning around too late to see the difference. “Him. Who is he?”
“H-He’s… He’s, uh, he’s nobody.” You answered slowly, your mouth suddenly dry.
Jack Harlow. The classic dumb jock back when you were younger. You actually had a thing for him before you realised your sexuality and your senses, finding the whole asshole gig to be a serious red flag.
Natasha noticed your dry mouth before you downed the soda can in your hand - you weren’t planning on following your father’s exact footsteps.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please take your seats so we can do memories and fun awards the staff and myself have come up with!” Your favourite teacher cheered.
You remembered your classes with her, how she would always call on you for questions she knew you could answer. Her classroom was your escape at breaks and your home away from home. You took your girls’ hands and led them to their chairs, with Wanda’s fascination peaking as she saw some of your old friends.
Dinner was served and you thanked the waiter that gave you your meal, admiring it briefly before you began to eat it. You could feel Natasha’s leg tuck against yours and you got confused, following her eyes to see Jack smirking evilly at you.
“Don’t eat too quickly, Y/N. We all remember what you were like back in the day.” He snickered, blushing and alarmed looks coming your way.
“Shut up, Jack.” You grumbled, now picking at your food.
Now Natasha was fuming and Wanda was picking up on it. The witch placed a hand on your shoulder and you looked up at her, seeing a brief flicker of scarlet in her eyes.
*Don’t listen to him. Food is good, my love. Food is fuel for avenging, okay?*
You nodded and thanked her mentally before you continued to eat, the gesture calming Natasha slightly. She placed her hand on your thigh and smiled when you looked at her, watching a blushing one form on your cheeks.
*You look stunning tonight, detka (baby). I can’t wait until we get back home and have some cuddle time.* She muttered into your mind and your heart swelled at the mention of it.
*I look forward to it, Tasha.*
“Alright, everyone, if I could have your attention please?” A woman you recognised as your valedictorian, Kelly, spoke and earned the attention of everyone quickly.
Except for your girls.
“Now, we have a short video of photos, clips and memories we thought would be nice to share. Dennis, roll the clip!”
You looked over at the tech station and saw Dennis, an old friend from one of your classes who was genuinely one of the sweetest men you’d met. The lights dimmed and the projection cast itself onto the lowering board, music beginning to play in the background.
Natasha and Wanda glanced at the screen every time you blushed as they knew it was a photo or video of you, but their eyes were on you the whole time. They saw through your little shield as the last photo came up, your eyes darting away whilst theirs turned to the screen.
It was easily recognisable as Jack throwing flour onto your soaked body.
“Alright, now for the awards!” Kelly chirped into the microphone, starting to hand out awards for Best Dressed, Class Clown, and so on and so forth.
Wanda looked at you as your eyes were squeezed tightly, fists doing the same. She knew it was what you did when you were blocking certain thoughts, thoughts that she hated. She put her hand on your shoulder and you instantly froze up, your chest tightening beyond control. You stood up quickly and began to walk towards the exit as breathing was getting harder and harder to do.
“FRI… FRIDAY.” You muttered, gasping for air.
“Suit forming.” She reported into your ear, your suit of maroon and black tickling over your skin.
“FRIDAY, what’s… what’s happening to me?” You begged, a soft whine leaving you as you fell onto the sidewalk.
“Mx Stark, you are having a severe panic attack. I am alerting your emergency contacts.”
Natasha was already after you, getting lost within the hallway until FRIDAY appeared on her phone and guided her to you. Wanda raced out, searching for you by mind, and landed in front of you in your suit.
“Y/N/N, I need you to open the suit. Please, dorogoy (darling), open it.”
You tried, you really did, but you couldn’t get much out.
“Manual override: Natalia Romanova, Alpha 4.” Natasha spoke next to you.
“Manual override accepted: Natalia Romanova.”
“Open the mask, FRIDAY.”
Their eyes met your wild ones, darting around as you tried to grasp onto something, anything. You heard two clunks until a blurry image of your father knelt in front of you, your mother by his side.
“Y/N/N, we need you to focus. What are five things you can hear?” Tony asked, but Natasha swiped him away lightly.
“That’s not gonna work on them. Y/N, I’m going to touch you now, okay?”
Your vision was starting to go black, but you nodded, trying desperately to focus on the voice.
“Look at them! Still such a loser!”
Jack wasn’t supposed to be that voice.
“How did you ever become an Avenger? What, with Daddy’s money? Pfft, and the fact that you’re not straight? What a weirdo. You should be glad you got bullied in high school, and I am forever privileged to be your bully.”
You saw a bright red glow to your right until you felt a pair of lips kissing yours. Your entire chest stopped for all of about five seconds before you felt them slip away, your eyes opening and focusing on the beautiful redhead in front of you.
“H-How’d you do that?” You muttered.
“I, uh… I read once that holding your breath could stop a panic attack. So, when I kissed you… you held your breath.” She explained, checking over you with every touch of her hands.
“I did?”
“Yeah, you did, baby.”
You kissed her again before she helped you stand, your super suit materialising back whilst your parents stood in theirs. You looked over as Wanda came back to you, kissing you fervently, and you smirked through the kiss.
“Was somebody worried about me?” You snickered and she lightly hit your shoulder.
“I will always worry about you.” She grumbled before you noticed the red still in her eyes.
You looked up and saw Jack held upside down by several tendrils, blood rushing to his face. You looked back at Wanda with a raised eyebrow and she sulked, bringing him back down again.
“You’re dating an Avenger?!” He screamed, the title bringing out almost everyone in the hall.
“No, Jackie boy, I’m dating two.” You smirked, feeling their arms lace around your waist before you shot into the air, not wanting to stay any longer.
⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖🜃🜂🜁🜄⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖⧖
As you returned to the compound, FRIDAY gave Tony a report on your health and he let you go after he read it. You went back to your room and heard the sound of zippers falling down whilst pyjamas were being pulled up, still staring at the mirror in the corner.
Two arms snaked around your stomach before a chin rested on your shoulder, the taller girlfriend smiling softly at you through the mirror.
“Cuddle time?” Wanda asked sweetly and you nodded, pressing against the symbol on your chest so that your super suit could sink away and let you put your pyjamas on.
You turned around and saw both of them waiting eagerly for you, shuffling around so that a gap was in-between them. You slid into it and sighed happily at the warmth they provided, snuggling up so that their bodies were pressed against yours.
“You know… I stole a glance at your award.” Natasha smirked.
“Oh yeah? What did our baby win?” Wanda asked before you could say that you didn’t care.
The Widow looked at you and you rolled your eyes, knowing what was gonna happen. However, her finger between your eyes, stroking down your nose, was not helping you stay awake.
“Our hearts.”
