All of these are gonna be on viki ... BUT WHY? I don't understand gmmtv's decision at all.. the ones on viki so far are geoblocked in a lot of countries, so now we literally have no platform to watch them on except illegal ones. It just feels like more of a loss? at least for the international viewers

Many people made the comment on my last post that the shows, currently, are free on Viki, so it isn't the biggest deal, but . . .

Why move them from YouTube when they were free there too and geoblock them?!

International viewers have very much been spoiled by GMMTV having its shows on YouTube for free, and most not needing an account to access, but that's also why GMMTV gets sponsors and the views.

I know it's an egg/chicken issue where the shows wouldn't need sponsors if the shows were behind a paywall (perhaps), but the shows also attract sponsors because they get thousands and millions of views. Which once again brings me back to the "why put them on Viki for free but available to less viewers?" question because if this is about money, this seems likely to make less money.

Also, these shows seem like the more popular ones (which sidenote: was my precious favorite Star in My Mind & Sky in My Heart really that popular, and I didn't realize? Because good for it!), so why this plan to remove the more popular shows and make them less accessible?

GMMTV, I'm judging you.

ForceBook managed to deliver one of the best BL GMMTV storylines this year with only about 10 minutes of screen time 👏👏👏

I think the fact that we had two high profile actors have to take a step back from BL due to mental health issues in the last year alone and total 4 (krist james jimmy and chimon but also saint stepped back to bts and up also went that route before slowly dipping his feet back in) since I’ve gotten into this fandom should be an indicator that company’s need to be doing less not more.

Literally saw a fan complaining yesterday that FIRST KANAPHAN was being unfairly treated because he wasn’t getting enough work 😭😭😭 that man is literally never off my timeline how much more can he even work without dying?

When a company is doing 4 re-runs their teams are likely running on fumes and in a talent/ creator based industry you can’t just scale up endlessly resources are not unlimited. And sorry I took that so goddamn personally but burnout =/= incompetent.

They can’t just hire any fresh grad and expect them to work at the pace that the company needs them to. Even if they have talent they need to be trained and invested in and this has to happen at every level of production. There’s even a show coming out about it right now as we speak. I’m begging people to just open up a map of Thailand and realize just how small a country it is.

I can’t stand twitter because it’s an endless barrage of fans demanding demanding demanding for unreasonable things. Tumblr is my escape from that hustle and grind culture. And somehow we’ve managed to import that here.

I have the ability to mass block if I need to but also does anyone here have the ability to just chill the fuck out for a second. Like we have to be honest with ourselves here: I’m *not* a GMM fangirl you guys are just acting bananas.

Fam how do we feel about The Heart Killers?

Oh, I am thrilled. Especially looking at what our options were. The Heart Killers was my second favorite plot of the night after The Ex Morning and FirstKhaotung only have to share the screen with one other couple (who I also adore) rather than, like, twenty—or whatever’s going on over there with The Perfect 10 Liners.

Personally, the assassin plot is probably going to give me anxiety just like all of the drama in Only Friends did, but since this is a romcom, I at least know I’m guaranteed a happy ending.

Some of my favorite parts from the trailer:

Bison and Fadel canonically killing “businessmen and politicians”

First back in his Yok era with the tank tops and the flirting

JoongDunk finally getting a decent script

P’Jojo not bothering to pretend like Dunk is smaller than Joong when that man is a beef cake

FK pointing guns at each other and then kissing!!! What in the Kinnporsche?!

So, yeah, you could say I’m excited. I have pretty famously gone on record stating that JD are the best kissers at GMMTV and I believe FK have the best chemistry, so we’re in for a good time. Plus, FK act like a married couple off screen and JD act like college roommates who fuck sometimes, so the fan service will be fan servicing and I, for one, am grateful.

Plus, this gives me an excuse to rewatch 10 Things I Hate About You. And possibly turn it into a fanfic before we get the actual show. Because that’s how I roll.

got a pitch for whoever wanna direct the next pondphuwin show.

popular college kid thyme (pw) who is secretly a pianist (doesnt want his friends/family to know for reasons) and recluse mark (pond) who's a quiet, unremarkable, hood wearing, head bowed nerd by day and a flawless dj by night, famous by his stage name across college.

mark overhears a mysterious piece played in one of the music rooms and falls in love with the music but never finds the player.

thyme's friends meanwhile are looking to host a big ass party and hope to seek out the reclusive dj to take over the music. clients for gigs go through mark's friends and never get to meet him. he also always wears a mask and hood to never give his identity away.

thyme is intrigued. then he one day notices another kid sitting a bit away perfectly tapping out the set mark played. thyme puts 2 and 2 together.

thyme catches him one time and asks him to teach him more about music. he persues mark with (supposed) classiness while mark is highkey embarrassed, lowkey frustrated. intrigue melds with endearment and thyme falls hard and fast for the quiet kid.

and then he overhears mark talking about someone playing music in a tone that spoke of heavy affection. thyme assumes mark is in love with someone.

he has no idea it's him. and no one can know that ever anyway.

Therefore, by my very scientific research, this show has to be a BL because blue is Peach's color and here Tay is wearing the 2022 slogan "More than Friends; Less than Lovers" shirt

And Red Rascal Home's little slogan will is "Do Nothing but Rich"

Which is the slogan also on Home's phone, which his chibi is also in that same red shirt on the case, so this is once again from filming, which means the blue shirt with the red-written jersey over it is in the show.

AND IT'S A COLOR EXCHANGE WITH PEACH because all the cast got ice cream that day but New just took off the jersey.

And Tay was wearing this shirt with red writing over the heart, and Mook is standing right next to him, so this from filming too. IS THIS ANOTHER COLOR EXCHANGE?!

Finally, Mook and Jan keep interviewing together, which wouldn't be sus since they have a show coming up together and Tay and New were busy with their concert, but . . .

It would make sense if this is a BL with a GL side couple!

and yeah, i agree. it's not that i mind the same constellation of actors doing multiple series together. but if only THEY do series together?? that's kinda annoying in the long run. bc like, they're actors and as actors i wanna see them do actor things and part of that is watching how their acting is influenced by all the different colleagues they work with (whether these colleagues are male or female or any other gender)

and i really don't understand why we can't have the best of both worlds, like. it would be SO easy: have them do a series with their main cp partner every other year and then in the years in between they get to branch out and kiss other men

sometimes i cry myself to sleep at night thinking about all of the potential dynamics we're missing out on because of this. dynamics that could be so delicious to watch

but alas....
