I just want to make one thing very clear. Black and brown people, especially Muslims right now, don't owe white people for your allyship in racial justice. Not even those who are themselves systemically marginalized in some way. Not white Jews, not white queers, not white disabled, not white working class, not white poor.
Whiteness is the most lethal kind of oppression because it built the current colonial capitalist, imperialist world order. Every white person benefits from and is complicit in its systems in some way because white supremacy is global. Whatever marginalization has white people in it can be and is easily weaponized against the mellanated. When charged with your racist, exclusionary and oppressive behaviour you hold up Black and brown people of the same marginalizations as tokens. This is the only time they are ever visible; more often than not you profit off their labour, hoard their gains, throw them under the bus and make them part of your iconography for liberal progress points once they're dead and have no inconvenient opinions about your conduct.
This is why it's very hard for Black and brown people to take accusations of bigotry towards you in good faith. We also have a duty of care towards others but more often than not it feels like you want us to do what you want while holding a knife to our necks. Even when you don't do it directly, you issue demands like "if you don't do x and y you clearly don't care about my people and deserve the worst!!!" without considering for a moment that the full brunt of that policing will always fall on Black and brown people, because punitive justice exercises itself first and foremost on the vulnerable. If your demands for allyship carry disproportionate punishment for Black and brown people should we refuse, you're just on some power trip and never needed our help in the first place. This also obfuscates the needs and disenfranchisement of BIPOC Jewish, queer, poor, disabled and Global South people, because without racial justice, few of your gains will ever materialise in their lives. It's always trickle down liberation for the rest of us.
Your allyship is supposed to be the work of conscience, a recognition of injustice and a drive towards privilege equal to your own. For white people, it's an individual reparation on your part. It is not an act of kindness, or benevolence, or a transaction that must be repaid in kind. The worst of us deserve the same rights the worst of you already have. That's the meaning of equality. If you're willing to let us get fired, deported, or brutally murdered for bad behaviour, then not only were you never an ally, you were also just waiting for the opportunity to use that weapon you claim you never wanted. There is no justice in an asymmetry of power.

So... quick update on the Eurovision situation
The EBU decided that Israel can compete despite their country being under an active Genocide investigation by the ICJ. Their delegation have gone on to antagonise other contestants by filming them for their social media without permission and refusing to remove it when asked, harass journalists who have questioned if their inclusion is appropriate, and their commentators have made horrendous comments about the Irish contestant... all without sanction.
Meanwhile the Dutch contestant got into an undisclosed 'incident' with a female member of the production crew and they've referred it to the police and flat out disqualified him from the contest with less than 12 hours notice...
Which seems like a tremendous act of double standards at an event that is already marred by serious controversy. Obviously the second is not acceptable, but very difficult to understand how the first somehow... is?

Alright. I want you all made perfectly aware that I have completely cut support for Wilbur soot and any associated projects. I find his "apology" to be disingenuous and trashy damage control, and it undermines whatever desire he has to improve, however genuine that is.
I 100% support Shelby and any victim of such disgusting behaviour, i commend them for their courage, and I wish them nothing but prosperity, support, and happiness. I will always value their peace over whatever art he made. I'll find other fucking art.

Love the way people will simultaneously hate on celebrities for voicing opinions about politics because they aren’t educated enough on the topic and also condemn celebrities who don’t speak out about politics when they are clearly not the kind of person who is properly educated on the topic
#like pick a side#maybe the reason global superstar Taylor swift hasn’t spoken out about Palestine is because she is white American global superstar#and not a fucking expert on international politics#this expectation that every single person with the slightest but of a platform#should speak out on every single issue#is so unbelievably harmful#not just to the person who gets hate for no reason and also is expected to emotionally exaust themselves for your personal morality points#but because of all of the celebrities that DO speak out and clearly aren’t educated enough on the issue and spread gross propaganda#to their massive followings#like I’d rather a celebrity stay silent on politics than ruin my perception of them#because they decided to have a public opinion about something that is awful#i don’t need stranger things ruined for me because Noah Schnapp called all Palestinian supporters terrorists#i dont ask the political leanings of the clerk at the grocery store#so why do we expect this of our actors and singers#(and i only brought up Taylor cuz I just saw someone condemning her and it’s so annoying#this happens with every single political event#not everyone can be properly informed on every single issue and it’s wrong to expect them tl#i just want them to sing their silly little songs and act their silly little movies)#if they’re like an outright shitty person I want to know that#but if they’re just dumb and fall to propaganda on an issue that doesn’t affect them then just silently think wrong#and hopefully it’ll give them the chance to silently learn a better way#once they publicly post it they’re more likely to double down when called out#idk just more 2am rants ignore me as you do

Also it’s Climate Week, there’s a huge summit happening in nyc and I’ll be tuning into EarthRise Studio’s interviews, updates, and forums to see the latest developments and events on how to combat our planet’s global warming crisis. We also have the Coral Gardeners documentary featuring our Bailey Bass aka Tsireya, so definitely keep an eye out! I’m hopeful, not sad. We have a lot we can do to reduce our carbon footprint and this event is to make change. It all starts at home, it’s you me and everyone’s job. Don’t forget that!!!🌱

"Let's go Captain Planet on these Polluters."
I think the Democrats policies for polluters is giving them a "stern talking too," and some "unkind words and harsh words." But if the Democrats will do anything actionable against polluters, I will believe it when I see it.

The worst fear of oppressors is experiencing their own inhumanity at the hands of the people they oppress.
