GLARE BDUBS SUPREMACY -Imagine

Bdubs is a Glare and you cannot convince me otherwise. They both have large eyes and mossy exteriors, they dislike the dark and value sleep, and they are both small.

It’s also possible that a Glare is a Bdubs.

Bdubs will tell anyone who will listen that he was there first! the glares are him, not the other way around, CLEARLY the universe must have loved him so much it wanted more!

i love how most hermit fans see every hermit as a hybrid except for like bdubs. like i see so many fics where bdubs is just a normal guy. but like where’s my glare bdubs propaganda. i need it like i need to breathe

💭 thinking of the headcanon of bdubs and etho both having stims of running their hands up and down the moss of bdub’s moss sweater

obviously for bdubs this would be easier because, well, it’s his sweater after all! he’s the one wearing it and can fiddle with the collar or rub his knuckle against his chest when he’s thinking. but etho as well, when they’re close in proximity, there’s that ability to reach out and run the back of his hand down the sleeve of bdubs’s sweater

or the idea then that etho takes one of bdubs’s sweaters, maybe not to keep, maybe he takes one for a few weeks and then switches it out with another. just to keep the familiar smell intact. and he can hold it in his hands and press his face against it, because the feeling of moss against your cheeks is quite nice. sort of soothing

and it feels different than just a bit of moss, moss carpet or a piece of a moss block to hold, because to make it into the sweater it’s been woven into that shape. and it changes the texture, just a bit, just enough that it’s different when etho is holding bdubs’s sweater vs when he’s holding a moss block

anyways, feel free to add onto this your ideas and i got inspired by this clip

Glares change with the seasons. They get all mossy and green in spring, grow fruit (glowberries) in the summer, get all red and orange during autumn, and finally lose all their leaves and go into hibernation during winter.

Glare hybrids don’t need to hibernate but they still lose all their leaves in winter making them look basically human. That’s why Bdubs is not mossy at the start of season 10 (< in denial)

Aww! Seasonal Glares is an adorable image. I wonder if Bdubs is cold right now?
