Here's the thing, I'm like pretty sure that scientifically speaking, being fictionkin and being a fictive is using the same part of the brain. But then, there's the fact some alters are fictionkin and some fictives are also fictionkin.

Which would disprove that theory, right? Maybe. But what if it doesn't. We know that every alter has their own feelings, beliefs, sexuality, gender, etc etc etc. so, what if within the brain, there's another little part that's also activating for specifically those alters' fictionkintype that doesn't split off to create an entirely new fictive.

We still barely understand everything that can happen in systems scientifically. We get the bare minimum, but then throw in the fact that two different systems can have fictives of people from the same source with the same memories just from the perspective of the character, thus making them canonmates not just sourcemates.

And we have the exact same thing with fictionkin too, but the thing is, almost no one has done any research on fictionkin due to us "being crazy or delusional"

This is why I'm so intrigued by the brain and soul. Are there gods out there that are the reason for this? Is this entire universe just a simulation? Are we part of a grand multiverse? Is this perhaps a thing related to string theory?

This is why I do certain things. I'm testing. I want that knowledge. I need it.

I may or may not be in a GLaDOS kinshift now that I'm rambling on about science and testing and theories...

Also maybe because I'm seeing Serial Designation X post, I'm also in a Cyn kinshift...

Its weird how similar fictives and fictionkin are.

Like obviously they're very different but they also overlap a lot

Like I have one friend who's a system, and we both talk to each other about memories, I talk to them about kin memories, they talk to me about fictive memories

We both understand the feelings of identifying as a fictional character, even if there is differences in how we identify that way

We both understand the feeling of memories from source, specifically feeling shitty about bad memories from there

Like we both understand the whole "why am I feeling like this, I feel homesick about a place my body has never physically been in, I have memories my body never physically experienced, I miss people who ice never physically met, ect, why do I feel like this I hate it" thing

And we both understand the whole "being called by [name] makes me feel really good rn, even though its not the name I normally go by, please call me by that name" thing. Like I can go "hey, can you call me [name] until farther notice today? I'm in a very strong [name] kinshift" and they can go "hey can you call me [name]? [Name] is fronting/co-fronting/whatever right now." And its a similar feeling we get when being called by that name during those situations instead of what you widely go by

We both understand the whole "I just got hit with a very big wave of dysphoria cuz I looked in the mirror and I didn't look like [character]" thing

Its weird how similar yet different they are

Theyre the only people I can talk to in person about kin memories and not feel awkward, and multiple of them has said the same thing to me about talking about their memories from source
