Just once, i'd like to read a DickWally fic where Dick ISN'T a waifish, giggly, effeminate schoolgirl or ditzy type.
It is so hard floating in this fandom and trying to find fics for different preferences....
#dickwally#nightflash#flashwing#the guy was raised by BATMAN#he can TOP#CLEARLY#give me bottom Wally#bottom Wally West#they switch in bed#he is just as muscled as Wally#dick grason giggling and twirling his hair makes me roll my eyes#birdflash#seriously at this point i'd rather read brucewally#it seems more credible#i'm allowed my preferences too

hi i see that you have much smart dog experience. i may have accidentally purchased such a dog. she's only 10 weeks, and ive had her 1, and she's already outmatched every puzzle feeder i got or have made. to the point that she is morosely disappointed when her food comes in an actual food bowl. do you know where i can find like. "heres 100 enrichment toys you can make out of free trash so your dog stops eating fucking rocks for enrichment" lists. i only have so many paper towel tubes XD
Herschel now just disassembles puzzle feeders, so I've been focusing on "Toys that, even if he already knows how to operate them, will still take TIME for him to collect the treat from" to give him something to fuss with.
Herschel eats all his meals out of a Kong Wobbler, because he will otherwise eat so fast he will literally inhale and choke on his kibble and I do not need him developing pneumonia from aspiration. Even though it's a "Simple" toy it slows him down and he does have to think a bit to tip it in the most efficient manner possible. Kong's "Flipz", "Gyro" and "Rewards Wally" are also really good "dog needs to think/carefully manipulate the toy for food" toys that act as both mental stimulation and exercise and "give human a break for up to twelve minutes" toys.
I highly reccomend KONG as a brand- they're local to Denver and have an impeccable saftey record and all of the toys I have gotten from them have held up extremely well vs. the ravages of three entirely too smart and strong-jawed dogs at once.
Some more thoughts:
If she's not prone to shredding rubber, the kind of treat toys she has to chew are also good stimulation.
If you don't want to give her That Many treats, my vet said that dogs can have as many green beans as they want. Just make sure that the beans haven't had salt added to them- canned usually does, but frozen green beans usually don't, but always check the label.
You can make nearly any toy last longer, or make a cheap long-puzzle by freezing the treats so they take longer to eat AND provides hydration. Herschel's most favorite treat of all time is literally a wad of sliced green beans in a dixie cup, filled with water and frozen. Just peel off the cup and hand him the chunk of ice and he's good for up to half an hour and more chill afterwards.
You can also freeze lick mats
If your girl is like Charlie and doesn't like greenbeans, you can also try freezing paper cups of: Canned pumpkin, apple slices in water, putting some ice cubes in the bottom of the cup, a gob of peanut butter in the middle and then fill it with water to make a peanutbutter filled ice cube.
If your girl is REALLY like charlie who has figured out how to use labor negotiation and strike tactics for better treats: boiled chicken chunks frozen in some of the water you boiled them in.
Walkies are as much mental stimulation as they are physical exercise. Take her out and let her sniff to her heart's content.
Also Puppies in particular need like, SO MUCH exercise.
Let her participate in activities with you. Herschel and charlie sit in the kitchen and I narrate cooking dinner to them, which seems to interest them, even if I don't have spare veggie ends to give them. I also frequently bring them along in the car if I'm running errands when it's cold enough to do that, so they have something new to look at, and get to participate. I also am more likely to stop at a new park and give myself some exercise and mental stimulation.
Training her to do tasks is GREAT Smart Dog enrichment- esp if she's a herding or heeler, they LOVE being helpful. I taught the dogs they get a small treat if they come in from the yard without me having to go chase them down, which saved me a lot of hassle, and now I'm working on teaching herschel to pick things up off the floor for me if I drop them and alert for chickpeas, which my housemate is allergic to.
A lot of dogs like cat-type toys. Tie a stick or some fleece to some paracord and drag or flycast it around for her to chase/play tug with when she catches it. Toys that bounce unexpectedly were also a huge hit. or just wave the string around the cat and the corgi both like that.
If you live in farm country or know other people with pets, you can grab something with the scent of another animal on it and bring it home for her to smell. Charlie and Herschel spent the better part of three days investigating the wad of horse undercoat I brought home and put in the spare wobbler for them to smell.

𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀… drabble, porn with plot. smut. dirty talk, multiple orgasms, oral sex, fingering.
𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. . . no copying of my work is allowed. Free translation is allowed as long as I am credited.
𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲. . . as I said in my other posts, English is not my first language. I have tried to make corrections with the translator, but as you all know, it is prone to making mistakes, so I apologize in advance for any mistakes or if anything sounds weird.
𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲. . . A friend of mine gave me the idea for this, so I said, 'Okay, this sounds good,' and decided to write it. I hope you like it.
Since you started university, you’ve always been part of the crowd. You never cared about being popular or standing out in class; you just wanted to get by like everyone else. You made an effort to fit in without drawing attention, avoiding conflict and focusing on passing with just enough.
Being part of the university meant interacting with certain people, even those you weren't particularly interested in but had to tolerate. Like the popular guys from a fraternity whose name you couldn’t quite remember, led by Richard Grayson and Wallace West—better known to their friends as Dick and Wally—or those slightly higher on the social ladder than you.
Dick Grayson was friendly, and his appearance clearly explained why he was so popular. He was also sweet and kind, so much so that if one of your friends asked you directly, you'd probably admit to having a crush on him. Wally, on the other hand, was a different story. Although he was funny and somewhat charming, and also popular because he was Dick's best friend, he didn't appeal to you as much. In fact, there were times when he would shamelessly try to flirt with you, but you would just respond with a gesture before completely ignoring him.
Conveniently, no matter how hard you tried to stay away from Wally, he always found a way to cross your path. Like the day you were sitting with Timothy Drake in the cafeteria when Dick Grayson came over to say hello to his brother. Wally seized the opportunity, walked up, grabbed Dick by the shoulders, and wasted no time flirting with you.
— Don't worry, babe. If you don't understand anatomy, I can give you a lesson or two.
You don't know what part of you thought it was a good idea to have Wally help you study. But you didn't realize how bad it was until the books fell off the bed where you were supposed to be studying and his face literally ended up between your legs.
You had never been with someone with such fast skills, so to speak. It was like being with The Flash himself. His tongue moved quickly over your wet pussy, causing your eyes to roll back in pleasure.
His tongue glided over your lips, tracing them from top to bottom, while his greenish gaze was fixed on yours. With one hand he helped you to spread your legs wider and with the other he filled your tight hole completely with two of his fingers. Then, growing restless, he moved to your clit, where he began to give you sweet, teasing licks. His mouth moved so quickly between your clit and your lips that it seemed he was caressing both at the same time.
And when you arched your back, with moans so intense that Wally was sure they could be heard in the hallway, he knew you would climax any moment, for the third time that night, with minimal effort on his part. It hadn’t even taken him more than five minutes.
Sweat trickled down your forehead as you reached your climax, and a wave of pleasure swept through your entire body. As you gasped, you watched as Wally pulled away from between your legs, a mischievous smile on his face. He looked beautiful, his mouth smeared with your fluids, and maybe that's why you didn't ask him to clean up.
— Damn, babe, that was so good. After what comes next, you'll be so dazed that the only name you'll remember from these books will be "Wally”.
You looked at him with wide eyes, confused by what he meant by 'after what comes next.' Hadn’t it ended? You wondered if you could handle more, given that you had already had more than you could bear.
— Oh, what? Did you think that was it? Unfortunately for you, we're not done yet. And I have enough stamina to fuck you for hours.

Stamina - Wally West
Pairing: Wally West x f! reader (reader has a pussy + uses female pronouns)
Genre: smut/NSFW
Word Count: 1.2k
Summary: as a speedster, your boyfriend has near unlimited stamina. unfortunately for you, your stamina is very much finite
CW: overstimulation, multiple orgasms, multiple creampies, unprotected sex (be smart), mentions of oral (f! receiving), lots of praise, mating press, Wally is an absolute madman
hi I wrote this in 45 minutes after waiting in line for 10minutes at 7/11 for hot chocolate because the guy in front of my didn’t know how to use Apple Pay. anyway I am absolutely here for Wally accidentally overstimulating you because he just has so much energy
Kinktober Masterlist
The best thing about having a speedster for a boyfriend? He has nearly unmatched stamina. The worst thing about having a speedster for a boyfriend? He has nearly unmatched stamina.
Wally looks up at you with a smirk, green eyes glinting with mischief. His lips, along with the entire lower half of his face, are coated in your slick. Your juices drip down his chin and roll down his muscled chest.
“Cumming already?” He teases, “we haven’t even gotten to the good stuff yet.”
Your boyfriend barely seems phased by the fifteen minutes he just spent between your legs, but that’s not out of the ordinary. Most days, Wally could spend hours eating you out if you’d let him.
You roll your eyes, legs trembling as you attempt to close them around his shoulders. “You’re just too good, Walls.”
“Hey, I didn’t say we were done yet.” Wally pulls your legs apart, an ankle thrown over each shoulder.
He tugs down his boxers, letting his cock spring free. As usual, he’s eagerly dripping precum. Wally keeps his eyes on yours as he rubs his cock between your lips, letting the mixture of your juices and his spit act as lube. He lines his tip up with your entrance and lets it slip inside.
He almost whimpers as he bottoms out, the sheer heat and tightness of your pussy overwhelming for him. No matter how many times he’s been in this position, no matter how many times he’s fucked you, it always amazes him how well you take him. How well your pussy just molds to his cock.
“God,” he groans, cock filling you completely, “you take me so well.”
You’re practically folded in half with your legs over his shoulders and his body leaning over yours. He’s so deep inside of you that you feel him with every breath.
Wally starts moving, taking up that familiar fast pace you’re so used to. He bottoms out with every thrust, pulling out just as you register how the head of his cock hits that spot inside of you. You reach out desperately, gripping at his hair to give yourself a sense of control as he drills your poor pussy.
He presses a hand down on your stomach, his other arm keeping him propped up. His muscles flex with every thrust, abs clenching and biceps bending. His green eyes have darkened, that familiar shade of jade being drowned out by his desire.
He slows down, opting for harder and deeper thrusts that have the headboard slamming against the wall each time. Your body moves with the bed, his cock bullying into your walls. You squeeze your eyes shut, letting the waves of pleasure roll over you. You cum at the same time as Wally, his hips stuttering as he tries to bury himself as deep as possible within your walls.
You desperately grip at his forearms, nails digging into the soft skin. Wally whines as he cums, painting your walls white in thick, long bursts.
He smiles down at you, attempting to catch his breath. “Still hanging in there?”
You nod, though your pussy is starting to tingle from all the pleasure it's received and that dull pressure has filled your stomach.
“Good,” he kisses you and starts to move again, his cock still painfully hard. “Cause I’m not done either.”
Wally’s stamina hasn’t seemed to take a hit as he resumes his earlier pace, slamming his hips into yours almost hard enough to bruise. His cock is still sensitive from cumming, but your walls clenching around him feels so good that he never wants to stop. He has his eyes closed as he fucks into you, focused only on trying to get himself as deep inside of you as possible.
You keep your fingers wrapped around his biceps and let yourself get lost in the overwhelming pleasure. It’s not unusual for Wally to want to go multiple rounds, overstimulating both of you in the process. Still, you never quite get used to the extreme highs he gives you in the heat of the moment.
Wally’s pace increases, balls slapping against your ass with every thrust. He’s brutal in his speed, sweat beading down his temples as he pushes you even further. The bed shakes and you can barely catch your breath.
You look up at him desperately, pleading at him with your eyes. Wally looks down at you and you can see that he’s somewhere else, focused only on the heat of your puffy pussy.
You tighten your grip on him in an attempt to ground him, opening your mouth to speak. No words come out, though, drowned out by your pathetic whines as another orgasm rolls over you. It’s so intense that your senses fade away from you, the lewd sounds of Wally fucking you drifting somewhere far away.
Wally cums a minute after you, bringing you back to your senses when you feel his hot cum filling you up once more. He lets himself collapse on you, keeping his cock still inside of you.
He rubs a hand across your cheek, “still with me?”
You nod weakly, your head spinning with the aftershocks of your last orgasm. The black spots that filled your vision still haven’t gone away.
Wally grabs your hands, pushing them further into the bed and using them as leverage as he starts to fuck you once more. You shiver with every movement, the pleasure almost painful at this point.
Wally kisses your forehead. “Give me one more, okay? Just one more.”
He’s much lazier this time, much more gentle. He keeps a steady pace, trying to give you time to recover while also chasing his own high. Any sensitivity he’s feeling is drowned out by how fucking good you feel around him, how fucking pretty you look when you’re all fucked out like this.
He holds your hands the whole time, whispering praises into your ear with every thrust. “My good girl,” he mumbles, “‘m almost done.”
You squeeze his hands almost painfully tight, blinking back the tears that form in your eyes. It feels so good, but it’s too much. Too hot, too wet, too much pressure. Wally is your only grip on reality, the only thing keeping you from succumbing to the exhaustion that hangs over you.
His hips stutter and he buries himself deep inside of you as he finishes. The heat of his cum fills you and though it feels good, it overwhelms you. You whimper while he pumps his cum inside of you, letting the tears start to roll down your cheeks.
Wally wipes them away, kissing your wet cheeks. “Did so good for me,” he slurs, “so fucking good.”
He doesn’t pull out, still lazily moving inside of you. He kisses all around your face, petting your sweaty hair out of your eyes. Your pussy aches, twitching around him tiredly, as if begging for a break. Wally looks at you with hearts in his eyes. You look so cute and used up, he swears he’ll melt.
He finally pulls out, letting his cum run out of you and coat your thighs and bedsheets. “Let’s give your pussy a break, hm?”
“Yes, please,” you mumble out, finally succumbing to your exhaustion.

Wally was NOT going to tell his friends shit. He know they would ask him
“how did U pull HER???” it wasn’t like his friends had no faith in him, they just know he couldn’t pull. Once when he and dick went to a coffee shop, a girl was sitting across from them. Wally asked for her number cuz he thought she was cute….
she said “Ew, your friend can get my number tho.”
Dick brings it up like once a month….
one day y’all were on a date night, and his friends pulled up…..and he asked u to get in the back sit… and to put a blanket over your self.
__________________
“What” you giggled, your right hand hovering over your cheat.
”ik Ik it’s stupid but.. I haven’t told my friends about us.” Wally muttered his hand rubbing the back of his neck. “ we.. have been dating for 2 years and you haven’t told you friends about us!” You yelled at him

And now his asking you to get in the back sit cover yourself with a blanket? What. The. Fuck.
The. Fuck. Is. Wrong. With. Him.

But..No.
you came to have good time with your boyfriend. Hell it was fucking date night. And if he thought that you were going to climb in the back seat? Because he didn’t want his friends finding out?
He could go fuck himself.
“No, Wally I am in a 300 dollar dress with red bottom heels. I Will not be going any were near that fucking back sit, so fuck you.” You declined. Grabbing your coat and purse.
As you opened your door, and stepped out. You could feel 6? Perhaps more.
Eyes traveling across your body, some wandering to other parts.
___________________
“Who was that?” A familiar voice questioned. “Fuck off dick.”
“Dude, step outside the car”
as Wally stood outside of his black car. He looked around him, and all he could see were the questioning gazes of his friends. “Go ahead. Ask your questions”
“who was that girl?”
“pls tell me that was your cousin”
“How old is she?” “does she know about yk?..?” “Who was that fine babe”
“Can ya give me her number?. Or try and hook us up?”
one at a time people!! Wally complained.
“ok ok uh was that you gf?.” Wallys best friend Dick asked. “yes”
a bunch of aw’s were muttered, but not like the aw cute ones. More like the disappointed ones. __________________________

honestly, every time you write for dc characters, it gives me life cause it feels like a dying art form on this site now 😭 anyways, i saw your new event so what about wally x wayne!reader, like “enemies to lovers-esque” they’ve been bickering since they were kids but now that they’re older somethings had to give after a particularly intense mission?
MINORS DNI 18+
NOTES: DC is for December Event! — request DC characters.
“Ugh! I don’t get why you don’t just listen! If you’d just trusted me—“ you begin, gesturing wildly with your hands despite no one being around. The comm in your ear sputters to life as your opponent is quick to rebuttal.
WALLY WEST doesn’t ever see your side of things, or refuses to just to get on your nerves. “Oh, I’m sorry. Last I checked, Major Bossy hadn’t been promoted to Team Leader.” You could hear the roll of his eyes in his voice as you pull the frame off the vent.
Instead of wasting your energy with clever response, you revert to immature tactics—the only strategy he lowers himself to. “If I’m Major Bossy, you’re definitely not Lieutenant Ass-Kisser.” you argue, ending the comment with a grunt as you slide your body weight into the narrow hall of the vent.
“Oh-ho-ho, didn’t know the weather report called for sarcasm—“ Predictably, Wally meets you where you’re at but now you can’t leave it alone. Your fingers press into the piece in your ear to make sure he hears you transparently.
“‘Weather report?’” you parrot incredulously, spitting your words, “you- are such- a cornball—!”
“Keep the comms clear!” the warning voice of the actual Team Leader, Nightwing, silences you both. Until you hear Wally’s stuttering protests, intent to keep bickering with you. “We don’t have Miss Martian, and you two idiots are wasting air time with this bullshit. Cut the chatter. Nightwing out.”
You press your lips together. As you dissolve into a snicker, you hear Wally mirror you on the other line.
“Do you ever shut up?” Wally speaks against your mouth, bare sweaty bodies sticking together.
“Do something to render me speechless, then.” you challenge, a curl teasing the corner of your lips as your arms wrap loosely around his neck. He lifts himself to hover above you, the leather band around his neck dangling a silver pendant over your chest. Your two heads bow to meet the sight between you, his dick slicked with pre-cum and spit settled nicely in your slit. The thick shaft makes a home in your folds, while the lip of his bulbous mushroom-shaped tip catches on your clit every time he ebbs and flows his hips. Lazily, he demonstrates it, the mix of fluids lubing up the rod to stroke up and down your sore sex. He’s hefty, a lot more than you gave him credit for, a heavy cock sprouting from wild dark red curls.
“You didn’t even shave.” you comment, hiding your obvious interest with a thin veil. He can still hear the waver in your voice, can see how you roll your puffy bottom lip through your teeth.
“You think I planned this?” He meets your eyes with his brow pricked. “Thought you hated my guts.”
You peer to the side innocently with the minutest of shrugs. “Or maybe I just wanted you to fuck them.”

pumpkin patch adventures | buddy & monkey: double the trouble
summary: buddy and monkey take a trip to pick out pumpkins with a special guest appearance from @lvnleah Rory
double the trouble masterlist
“Roar!” You’re currently sitting at the breakfast table while you’re eating your pancakes that you have for breakfast, although you are having much more fun dunking your dinosaur figurines in the sugary syrup than actually eating the pancakes yourself.
“Eat it nicely bubba,” Leah grimaces as she watches you coat your beloved dinosaur figurines in your breakfast.
“But Mummy, my Dinos’ want to share me ‘cakes though!” You insist, your eyes wide with excitement before proceeding to attempt to coat them in sugar again.
“Yeah? Well I think Mummy’s going to need to give your Dinos’ a wash at this rate,” Leah jokes, shaking her head as she tries to coax your toys out of your hand to salvage them.
“Sharings’ caring!” You declare proudly, puffing out your chest.
Leah snorts in amusement, “Oh? And who taught you that?”
“Monkey!” You exclaim while beaming a wide smile.
“Of course she did,” Leah murmurs, resisting the urge to roll her eyes as she stands up from her seat at the table to grab a cloth, “I know you want to share your pancakes with your dinosaurs, but sometimes, things like this aren’t meant to be shared, bubba. You don’t want them to be covered in syrup and be all sticky, do you?” She retorts in a gentle tone of voice.
“No,” You concede, pouting as you spare a glance at said dinosaurs which were already sticky, “Mummy, my dinos’ are sticky” You whine, the reality hitting you while not appreciating the stickiness of them now.
“That’s why Mummy told you to not dunk them, bubba,” Leah can’t help but bite her bottom lip to stifle her laughter, “And that’s why we have to keep them nice and clean, like Mr Bear, remember?” She reminds you, using the cloth to wipe your own sticky fingers before proceeding to clean the dinosaurs.
“But I wan’ share,” You pout in disappointment, not quite understanding the whole concept of it.
“You can share, just not with your dinosaurs,” Leah retorts, playfully poking your nose once she had finished wiping off the syrup, “There we go, all better. No more dunking them now, little miss or they’ll get sticky again.”
“You got it dude,” You tell her, sticking your thumb up in agreement, “Mummy? Whens’ Auntie Wally comin’?”
“She’s on her way now, bubba,” Leah tells you as she disregards the cloth into the washing up bowl, “We’re waiting for her, then we’re going to be meeting Auntie Stephy, Auntie Beffy and Roo. Do you remember where we’re going today?”
You nod enthusiastically, “To the pumpkin farm!”
“That’s right,” Leah replies in agreement as she helps you down from the table so you can get ready for the trip out today, “We’re going to pick out pumpkins so you and Rory can carve them like you did last year with Monkey, remember?” She reminds you as the two of you head upstairs.
“Yeah! I gots’ to make it scary last year!” You exclaim, remembering the way that Monkey drew a scary face on the pumpkin, but the best bit was the gunk in the pumpkin that you loved pulling out, “Monkey didn’ like the gunk though!”
“No she didn’t, did she?” Leah chuckles in amusement as you enter your bedroom, “What do you want to wear today?”
“Can I wear my Rat costume?” You question, hopeful as you plonk yourself on the carpet in favour of playing with your toys instead of getting dressed.
“Oh I should have seen that coming,” Leah murmurs, speaking her thoughts aloud as she opens up the wardrobe in your bedroom, “Bubba, I don’t think it would be a great idea to wear that. How about you choose something else instead?” She suggests in a gentle tone of voice.
“Nuh uh. I wan’ wear me rat costume!” Your little voice insists while still playing with your toys on the carpeted rug that’s the shape of a rainbow.
It’s something that Leah and Jordan decided to have in your nursery before you were born, because apparently you’re a little rainbow baby, but that’s not something you’re all that sure what it exactly means, but you definitely get a lot of hugs and kisses all of the time.
You guess when you transferred to the big bed, it also came along as well although it doesn’t really fit in with the racecar bed that you have now.
Leah purses her lips, debating how this conversation was about to pan out, “Bubba, listen I know you want to wear your rat costume, but don’t you think it’ll be better to save it to wear on Halloween. You wouldn’t want your lovely tail to get covered in mud, would you?” She tries to coax you out of the idea and you don’t miss the sarcasm in her voice when saying certain words.
“No,” You pout at the thought of your Halloween costume being ruined by the mud at the pumpkin place you’re going to.
“Exactly, so how about we choose something else?” Leah continues to suggest as she routes through your wardrobe, “Oh, here’s the hoodie that grandad brought you. What about this?”
You shake your head in disagreement, “Not red!”
“Of course not,” Leah mumbles as she exhales a sigh while remembering that you seem to be going through a phase right now of not wanting to wear anything that isn’t red, “But this colour is close to red, it’s orange, like the pumpkins that we’re going to pick out, yeah?”
“... Fine,” You huff in agreement like it’s such a tedious task to agree to it as you give her your usual sass that you seem to have now, “But red tomorrow, Mummy. Don’ forget!” You tell her, waggling your index finger in front of her face.
“I won’t forget bubba,” Leah has to bite her bottom and stifle her laughter, finding it hard to take her mini me so seriously as she tries to piece together the rest of your outfit without any further protest from you, “Right, let's get you dressed then, bubba.”
With a bit of protest of pulling you away from your toys that you were enjoying, you reluctantly get dressed into the outfit chosen much to your disagreement of it not being red like you want it to be.
“Mummy?” You speak up as Leah helps you thread your arms through the sleeves of the t-shirt before coaxing your new hoodie over your head.
“Yes, bubba?” Leah responds in a gentle tone of voice,
“When we goes’ to the farm will there be a park?” You wonder, curiously because the idea of a park sounds like a lot of fun right now.
“Well I’m not too sure about that one little miss but there might be,” Leah answers while moving to help you with your leggings, but that doesn’t solve all of your questions that you want to know.
“I like the park!” You insist with a beaming smile but that doesn’t last, “... Mummy?” You question again while Leah helps you with the tricky task of putting your socks on.
Leah chuckles in amusement, “Yes, bubba?” She asks, waiting for your next question.
“If there’s a park, will there be a swing… and a slide?” You ponder the thought of the park, you always love the swings and always ask to go higher and higher, “Mummy! Will there be a roundabout?”
“You’re certainly a little chatterbox today, aren’t you? You’re just full of all the questions!” Leah jokes, playfully tickling your sides as you let out a squeal of delight, “I’m not sure what there will be if there is a park, but we’ll see what it’s like when we get there.”
“The swings are fun!” You exclaim in delight, “And that’s cos’ I’m like ‘out! That what Mama says too!” You retort innocently.
Leah gasps in a playful manner, “Oh is that right?”
“Uh huh!” You nod promptly on your decision, “Yeah, and Nana says’ it as well… And Auntie Kei! She says’ we like to y… yap a lot,” You stumble over the word as you tell her.
“Oh you just wait until I see your auntie Kei,” Leah retorts in a joking manner, “Me and her will have words– Agh!”
Right in that minute, your favourite person doesn’t miss the opportunity to sneak up behind Leah and scare her half to death, “Boo! Ha, gotcha!” She exclaims, incredibly pleased with herself.
Leah spins around and playfully bats Monkey’s arm, “You menace,” She chides, recovering from her faint heart attack, “What’re you playin’ at jumping up behind me like that?”
“It was too good of an opportunity to not take it,” Monkey shrugs her shoulders carelessly, “I’m trying to get all the scares in. It’s only another 2 weeks until the big day!”
“So you decide to scare me… Now?” Leah clicks her tongue and shakes her head, less than impressed, “Don’t you have anything better to be doing? Wally will be here soon and you’re not even ready yet!”
“Well, duh!” Monkey remarks while rolling her eyes, “Chill out, I have plenty of time to get ready. What’s the rush?” She wonders.
“Plenty of time?” Leah repeats while scoffing in disagreement, “Monkey, any minute now Wally is going to arrive so we can go out. I told you to be ready an hour ago, what have you been doing this whole time?”
“Uh… TikToks’ addictive,” Monkey murmurs her response while grinning at the blonde who looks about ready to blow a fuse, “There’s a new trend I wanna try with Kyra!”
“Absolutely not, no way!” Leah’s already putting a stop to the idea of mayhem your favourite person plans to cause, considering the last TikTok video attempt made her ankle hurt even more.
“Monkey, ‘ou scared Mummy!” You exclaim while giggling and finding the whole thing funny to watch.
“That’s the best bit about Halloween, Buddy!” Monkey declares excitedly as she grins at you, “Being able to jump out and scare people– Oh, and the trick and treating of course. All the sweets you can eat!”
“Trick or Treat!” You repeat excitedly, bouncing up and down on the balls of your sock covered feet, “Trick or Treat!”
“Exactly, remember that’s just what you say when you walk up to someones’ house and knock on the door,” Monkey reminds you of the typical way to ‘Trick or Treat’ on Halloween, “It’s important you say them words!”
You nod efficiently, “Trick or Treat!” You exclaim once again.
“Yeah, good job!” Monkey holds her hand up to exchange a high-five with you, “You’re going to be a pro in no time, Buddy!” She tells you.
“Trick or Treat,” You continue to shout in excitement.
“You do realise that’s all she’s going to be saying now, huh?” Leah arches her eyebrow and shakes her head, “Bubba…”
“Trick or Treat!” You repeat once more, loud and proud.
Leah chuckles in amusement, “Case in point right there.”
“There’s worse things that she could say though,” Monkey retorts, shrugging her shoulders, “Think about it, she’s just gettin’ into the Halloween spirit, Le!”
“Right, of course,” Leah murmurs, rolling her eyes at your favourite persons’ silliness, “Do you think you can perhaps take your ‘Halloween spirit’ elsewhere, and while you’re at it, get dressed to go out? I don’t think it would look so good going out in your pyjamas now, would it?” She gestures Monkey out of the room in the direction of her own bedroom.
Monkey pouts in disagreement and slumps her shoulders, “Boo, you’re no fun!” She exclaims in a playful manner of tone, “See here Buddy, this is what we call a ‘Grinch’ but of course that’s more relatable to Christmas of course…”
“Grinch!” You repeat while giggling faintly at Monkey’s usual silliness.
“Go. Get ready,” Leah states while pointing her index finger in the direction of the door, “Now.”
“Trick or Treat, Auntie Wally!” You shout aloud the minute that the front door is opened by Leah to reveal Lia on the other side, while holding onto your new trick or treat bucket, and of course you want to show her what you’ve been taught all about now, but you're disappointed with the lack of no sweets, “Why ‘ou no have sweeties?”
“You want sweeties?” Lia chuckles and doesn’t waste the time to scoop you up into her arms, “I think you're a few days too early yet, little miss.”
“That’s not the way you did it, Buddy,” Monkey laughs and shakes her head, “You’re supposed to say it when you go to other peoples’ houses, not ours, silly!” She retorts.
“But I want sweeties though,” You pout in disregard of not having any said sweeties, “Trick or Treat!” You hold your new bucket up in front of her while you’re still in her arms.
Monkey huffs and throws her hands up in the air, “Urgh, I give up!”
“Auntie Wally! We’re gon’ go to the farm,” You ramble excitedly to the woman while you’re still in her arms, “Go pick out pumpkins!”
“What? We’re not goin’ to the farm,” Monkey’s face pales at the news and shakes her head, “I’m not going anywhere where there’s chickens! Nuh uh, no thank you!”
Leah chuckles in amusement as ruffles your favourite person’s hair, “Relax, Menace. It’s a completely chicken free zone,” She tells her.
“Oh, really?” Monkey questions, choosing whether to believe her or not, “Cos’ you said that last time we went to a farm and I swear one of those buggers’ bit me finger!”
“There’ll be no chickens in sight,” Leah answers, really hoping that she’s right about it as she’s somewhat aware there is a petting zoo there.
“Oh, okay. Well in that case then, I guess I’ll go then… If you insist,” Monkey shrugs it off like she wasn’t so petrified just minutes ago, “So, we gonna go now then, or what?”
Leah and Lia laugh in amusement at Monkey antics, both of them knowing what she is like but right now you want to be the centre of attention for a change.
“Auntie Wally, look at my new trick or treat bucket that I got!” You try to shove it directly in her view to show it off.
Lia gasps in faux excitement “Oh I love it, Buddy! Did you get that the other day when you went shopping?”
“Uh huh, Mama brought it for me,” You nod promptly in agreement, “Ans’ we brought Monkey stickers to put on her crutches!”
“I saw them the other day and they are very cool,” Lia replies, listening intently to your chatter as she adjusts you in her grasp, “Does that mean you’re using them now, little one?”
“Meh,” Monkey retorts while shrugging her shoulders carelessly and puts her jacket on what she grabs off the coat rack by the front door.
“Well that was the hope, but I keep having to remind her still,” Leah chimes in as she grabs your denim jacket off the coat rack and coaxes your arms into it while you're still in Lia’s arms, “Right, are we ready to go?” She wonders.
“Can’t help that I forget sometimes when I have a memory like a civ,” Monkey murmurs while fixing the zip on her own jacket.
“Ready when you are,” Lia agrees to Leah’s question, settling you back down on the floor so you can walk out to the car on the driveway.
“Auntie Wally! Auntie Wally!” You squeal in excitement and walk out to the car on the driveway, “Mama brought me my costume as well. ‘Ou have to come and see it!”
“Someone’s excited for Halloween,” Lia says, peering down as you're still vibrating with excitement about the idea of it.
“Duh, she has to be,” Monkey chimes in as she hobbles out to the car, “It’s a great season!”
Lia chuckles in amusement as she turns to look at Leah, “Are we still stuck on the whole rat costume idea?”
“Unfortunately so,” Leah murmurs as she opens the back door of her car and helps you into your seat before buckling you in, “I’ve tried to persuade her differently, but I’m having no luck.”
“Even so, I think you make an adorable rat from the photos I’ve seen,” Lia says as she climbs into the passenger seat of Leah’s car.
“Me go’ be a rat for trick or treating!” You exclaim, throwing your hands up in the air in excitement.
“Buddy the rat,” Monkey snickers to herself as she slides in beside you in the back of the car.
“Oh, is that a new nickname?” Lia jokes, buckling her seatbelt in as she looks towards Leah with an amused expression on her face.
“No, definitely not,” Leah grumbles, shaking her head in disagreement as she climbs into the driver's seat before buckling herself in and starting the ignition on the car.
“Mummy, I can’t wait to see Roo! Where’ she?” You’re full of chatter as you arrive at the pumpkin farm and you’re waiting in anticipation for Steph, Beth and your best friend, Rory, to join you.
“Don’t worry bubba. You’ll see her soon enough,” Leah assures you as she’s given the impossible task to fix the beanie over your head considering the amount you’re moving around so much right now, “Stand still so I can put your hat on please, bubba.” She says.
“Wan’ see Roo!” You whine impatiently, becoming more restless by every minute that passes and you can see your best friend, “Where they?”
“Oh look who I spot!” Lia motions to the three of them exiting Beth’s car as Rory holds onto Beth’s hand with all the busy cars around, as she spots you and attempts to run towards you.
“Roo!” You squeal aloud, your excitement becoming more tangible.
“Buddy!” Rory parrots your excitement, eager to reach you so you two can exchange a hug.
“I think we’ve been forgotten,” Steph jokes, not wasting any time to scoop you up with one arm and tickle you while not missing the opportunity to ruffle Monkey’s hair, “How’re my favourite pair of troublemakers doing?”
“Get off,” Monkey grumbles, trying to swat Steph’s hand away from her hair.
“Me no trouble, Auntie Stephy!” You pout at the older Australian women.
“Hm, I’m not too sure about that one now,” Steph jokes, continuing to tickle you before plonking you back down on the floor.
“Roo!” You shout aloud excitedly, embracing your best friend in a warm hug.
“Who’s ready to go and pick out some pumpkins?” Beth asks in an excited tone of voice.
“Me! Me!” You and Rory both shout at the same time.
“I wish you brought Kyra with you,” Monkey adds into the conversation with her shoulders slumped as you all start to walk through the entrance of the pumpkin patch, “Would be loads more fun then!”
“British menace and Aussie pest, I’m not so convinced myself,” Beth chips in as she finds amusement in the situation, “I think it’s bad enough on your own without your counterpart to cause trouble.”
“Party pooper,” Monkey murmurs, crossing her arms over her chest.
“Mummy! Mummy! Can we go and finds’ the pumpkins?” You tug on Leah’s sleeve to find out whether you can run off with your best friend.
“Go for it, bubba,” Leah encourages you to run ahead with Rory.
“Yeah! Mon’ Roo, lets’ go and find them!” Your voice is loud and energetic as you motion your best friend to follow you in the direction of the large pumpkins, “Race you there!”
“I don’t think I’ve seen them this excited before,” Lia retorts as she watches the two you run off squealing.
“I’m gonna chase you–” Monkey begins to speak.
“Ah ah, think again about that one Menace,” Leah interjects, giving Monkey a knowing look.
“Stupid dumb injury,” Monkey murmurs in displeasure.
“You only have yourself to blame, remember?” Leah chuckles, ruffling her hair.
“Chase me, Monkey!” You turn back round to shout at her.
“An me!” Roo adds in through fits of giggles.
“I wish I could kiddos, but I’m stuck for now,” Monkey tells you both while motioning to the boot that’s taken precedence on her foot currently.
“Mon’ Roo, we gots’ to find the pumpkins!” You tell your best friend.
“Lets’ go!” Rory shouts in agreement.
“Don’t run too fast girls, we don’t want either of you to… Fall,” Leahs’ cut off from her own words as you trip and fall right there as you miss your step. The sudden jolt of shock causes you to let out an almighty wail.
“M… Mummy! My knee!” You cry aloud, clutching hold of your knee as your bottom lip trembles, “It… It hurts, Mummy!”
“Oh, bubba,” Leah’s rushing to your side and scooping you up into her arms within seconds, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead while trying to calm you down, “You’re okay, you’re alright. It was just a bit of a shock, weren’t it, hm?”
“Owie, my knee hurts,” You whimper while tears still roll down your cheeks, “My knee! Mummy, it hurts!”
“You’re okay, bubba,” Leah coos, rubbing soothing circles on your back to try and ease your tears, “There’s no cut, see? There’s no blood, you’re fine, my brave bubba!” She exclaims.
“Uh huh,” You sob quietly still while in Leah’s arms.
“This is why we have to watch where we’re going now, remember? We don’t want to end up tripping and falling again, do we?” Leah reminds you in a gentle tone of voice.
“Wan’ to still go and find pumpkins with Roo,” You insist once you’re calm enough again and your tears are subdued.
“Alright, but remember to be careful this time, okay?” Leah reminds you cautiously, settling you back on your feet and adjusting your beanie back on your head properly, “Right, go run free, bubba!”
“Mon’ Roo!” You call after your best friend, running with her as you two are the first to reach the pumpkins, “We gots’ to find a big one!”
“Good luck with that mission, Buddy!” Monkey calls out to you, amusedly.
“But’s not ugly though. It has to be pretty, right, Mummy?” Rory turns to look at Beth for her confirmation.
“Of course, sweetheart,” Beth clarifies while nodding in agreement.
“Can pumpkins be pretty?” Steph furrows her eyebrows and whispers to the rest of the grown ups.
“I mean, I guess so,” Lia murmurs in confusion while shrugging her shoulders.
“Nuh uh, gots’ to find a big one so Monks’ can draw me a scary face on it!” You insist, looking round with wide eyes at the various different sizes of all the pumpkins in the patch.
“Well that sounds like an awesome idea,” Beth joins in on the conversation, “I think we’ll need some wheelbarrows, huh?” She wonders.
You shake your head in disagreement with that idea, “No, don’ need one of them. We carry them!” You declare.
“I don’t think so bubba, it’ll be too heavy,” Leah’s rational with her explanation as she grabs a wheelbarrow on hand, “We’ll pick them, put them in the wheelbarrow that we can carry back to the car instead, okay?”
“If we must,” You exhale a small huff in response, which makes Steph, Lia and Beth all chuckle.
“Where’s this ‘tude 'coming from all of a sudden?” Steph questions, poking your sides which causes you to let out laughter.
“Don’t ask, it’s a sudden thing apparently,” Leah murmurs while shaking her head, “Oh, and we also appear to be going through a phase of only wanting to wear red now.” She adds.
Beth snorts in amusement, “I see, and how’s that going for you?”
“I absolutely love having a sassy 3 year old,” Leah retorts as she resists the urge to roll her eyes, “I’m hoping it’s just a phase of that too, but knowing my luck, probably not.”
“It gets worse as they get older, Le, but you already know that one,” Beth tells Leah, patting her on the shoulder in reassurance.
“Hey, I didn’t do out this time,” Monkey cuts in, looking up from having her head buried in her phone.
“This time,” Lia murmurs in amusement and shakes her head.
“Mummy! Mummy!” You shout aloud in excitement, gaining the attention of all the grown ups, Look how big dis’ one is! It’s huge!”
Leah let out a short gasp, “Wow, that’s massive, isn’t it?”
“Ha, that’s what she said,” Monkey chimes in, earning her a quick smack around the back of her head, “Ow! What was that for?!”
“Uh huh, it’s huge!” You continue to insist, adamant that’s the pumpkin that you want to pick, “I wan’ this one, please!”
“Okay bubba, if that’s the one you want then you can have it,” Leah replies, wasting no time in lifting the pumpkin up and dumping it into the wheelbarrow, “Monkey, are you getting one this year?” She wonders.
“Meh, sure, I’ll take whatever looks good enough to carve,” Monkey responds, shrugging her shoulders as she gestures over to one that looks at least half decent, “But I’m not touching the gunk inside of it, it’s gross!”
“I’m sure one of us can scoop it out for you,” Lia jokes, rolling her eyes as she helps lift the pumpkin up and place it in the wheelbarrow.
“Did you find a good one, Roo?” Beth wonders, taking note of the pumpkin that Rory has found which is slightly smaller than your own.
Rory beams a massive smile on her face, “Yeah, this one is pretty!”
“Pretty’s a distinctive word to use right now,” Monkey murmurs, earning another nudge in the side from Leah who shoots her a look, “Seriously, again? Yeah it’s… uh, it’s very pretty Roo.”
“Thank you,” Rory flashes her a grin, “I want this one please, Mummy!”
“I think we can do that one,” Beth agrees, picking up the pumpkin and placing it in the wheelbarrow.
“Right, so pumpkins are all picked out. How about we check out what else there is round here?” Steph suggests, her eyes gazing around as she spots something that you and Rory were definitely going to like, “Look girls, they have a petting zoo. Shall we go and see what animals they have?”
“Animals!” Rory perks up at the instant mentions of animals, “Auntie Stephy, do they have bunnies, like Twix?”
“Like they might do,” Steph nods in agreement.
“They better not have any of them pesky chickens,” Monkey’s apprehensive to go near incase they have them, “Better yet, I’ll stay here out of the way.”
“Menace, relax, they don’t have any chickens,” Leah reassures her while trying hard to stifle her own laughter, “Unless you’re afraid of being attacked by bunny rabbits and ponies, I think you’re safe.”
“Well you know, they can be vicious as well,” Monkey murmurs, showing her reluctance for not wanting to still go near them although as she nears and see’s the different bunnies she changes her tune, “Aw, the bunnies are cute. Can we get one?”
“Bunny rabbits!” You exclaim, making a run towards where they were as you stare at them in awe, “Mummy, I wan’ one of them!”
“Good luck Le,” Lia jokes, wondering how Leah is going to say no to both of you with you looking like that, “How can you say no to those adorable faces?”
Leah inwardly groans and shakes her head, “I’m sorry girls, but… but we already have a dog, remember? We don’t have room for a bunny as well,” she tells you both.
“Dat’ okay, maybe Mama will say yes instead?” You question knowing that Jordan will easily agree to a lot of things that you ask her.
Monkey nods in agreement and runs with your idea, “Good idea, Buddy. I’ll text her!”
“That wasn’t… No, I didn’t mean it like that,” Leah murmurs, pinching her nose and exhaling a sigh, “Monkey, don’t even think about texting Jord to ask for one!”
“Awh, c’mon, you’re no fun,” Monkey huffs and slumps her shoulders, “Sorry Buddy, Mums’ been a killjoy.”
“Look how cute they are, Mummy!” Rory’s eyes are wide as she is eager to pet the bunnies.
“They are cute, aren’t they?” Beth agrees with her daughter, kneeling down to a lower height, “I’m sure if we ask the nice people, they’ll let you pet them.”
“Yeah,” Rory nods along and takes a seat on one of the hay bales as one of the workers places a bunny rabbit on her lap while Rory strokes it’s soft fudge brown fur and Beth makes sure to take lots of snaps to send to Viv who’s back in Manchester currently.
“Mummy, I wan’ pet a bunny as well!” You insist, glancing up at Leah with a small pout on your face.
“Alright well sit down nicely then bubba,” Leah instructs you to sit on the hay bale beside Rory as another worker places a snow white bunny rabbit on your lap.
“Look, Mummy, the bunny looks like the one I have at home!” You declare, beaming a wide smile and you gently stroke the bunny’s soft fur.
Leah smiles and nods in agreement, “Smile, bubba. I’ll take a photo to send it to Mama for her to see,” she tells you, coaxing you to smile nicely while she snaps a quick photo and sends it to Jordan.
Le 🤠 The girls have got it in their head now they want a bunny no thanks to the trip out to pick out their pumpkins!🎃
After spending a bit of time at the petting zoo and having a chance to pet the rest of the animals that were there before moving on to see what else they had to offer.
You’re delighted to be able to get your face painted like a tiger and you take great joy in trying to roar at other people while Rory went for being a butterfly instead.
“I’m a tiger! Roar!” You pretend to growl at people nearby who pass, “I’m scary, Mummy!”
“Oh you are terrifying bubba,” Leah jokes playfully as you walk over to a nearby cafe so you can all sit down and have a bite to eat, and you’re very excited to be able to eat one of the cupcakes because they look delicious to eat while the grown ups all have a drink.
“Alright my little tiger, which one do you want to eat?” Leah questions, hoisting you up into her arms so you can peer over and pick out which cupcake you’d like to eat, going for ones’ got the most chocolate on it.
“Dat’ one, please! Get one for Monks’ as well!” You tell her, pointing her index finger straight at it, eagerly accepting it into your awaiting hands and going to sit down at the table to eat it nicely, “Today’s been fun, Mummy!” You tell her.
“Good, I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself bubba,” Leah smiles, pressing a kiss to the top of your head, “What about you, Monkey? Have you had fun?”
Monkey shrugs her shoulders while eating her own cupcake in her hand, “Yeah it hasn’t been totally dull, although it would be call if we could get a rabbit though,” She murmurs, hoping that Leah will cave eventually.
However Leah just snorts and shakes her head in disagreement, “Oh no, that is definitely not happening, I’ve already got you two and a dog to take care of… We don’t need a bunny rabbit as well,” She jokes, shaking her head in amusement and trying to ignore the pouts on both of your faces, “I’m not changing my mind on this one, girls.”

Leah williamson "how can you fall asleep at a time like this" watching a football match at home
superstitions II l.williamson
you were happily tucked into bed, glasses on and reading light pointed to the final ten chapters of the book you'd spent the last month battling to finish, never seeming to have enough free time to get through more than a few pages before something came up.
but with your girlfriend having dinner at her best friends house you finally had the cherish little pocket of time you needed to finish, incredibly invested in the story thus far and dying to know who killed the main protagonist.
you planned to sit down and read for an hour before you'd make yourself something to eat and then finish off the rest, angling for an early night as you were quite tired from a long week of work and family commitments.
you'd only made your way through a few pages before you heard the front door click from downstairs and you frowned, snapping the book shut and swinging out of bed.
but hearing a familiar laughter ring out through the home your shoulders sagged in slight relief, but the frown never left your features as leah wasn't due home for a few hours yet, and it didn't seem like she was alone.
"baby girl?" you appeared at the top of the landing at leahs call, the blonde stood at the bottom of the stairs with a happy smile, the same adoring twinkle in her gaze anytime she looked upon you.
"i bought dinner babe, come make a plate." she nodded her head toward the kitchen as you made your way downstairs. "hi wally." you greeted the girl sat at the counter with a surprised smile who span around.
giving her a hug you lingered by her side with her arm around your waist, various takeout containers from leahs favourite italian place down the road spread out in front of you.
"why do you look so shocked?" your girlfriend asked with a mouthful of pasta making you roll your eyes, sometimes you could swear she was a sixteen year old boy and not a twenty six year old woman.
"i just wasn't expecting...this." you gestured as lia let go of you to start eating her own plate of food. "well i hope you weren't expecting me to cook love you know thats not in my wheelhouse." leah grinned and again nodded for you to make a plate.
"obviously not. but you told me this morning you were going to lia's for dinner and to watch arsenal play, not coming here with lia and dinner." you retorted as you started to dish yourself up some food.
"no i said wally was coming over for dinner and then we're going to watch arsenal play." the blonde argued with you as you grabbed your plate and sat down on the stool beside lia.
"i'm not arguing with you about this lee, i just had a hot date with a book you've interrupted." you smiled before digging in as your girlfriend pulled a face. "you are not still reading that are you? baby its been like five months!" leah groaned as lia reached over to smack her hand.
"and what was the last book you read leah? picture ones don't count." the swiss defended you causing your girlfriend to scoff and you to grin, bumping your shoulder into hers appreciatively.
"well your little book date will have to wait till later baby girl we have traditions to attend to!" leah warned as you threw your head back with a groan. "you can't be serious? its all superstition love it doesn't actually help anything!" you laughed as both footballers now turned their gazes onto you.
"yes it does." they spoke seriously and in sync making you pull a face and roll your eyes. "no it doesn't." you sighed, knowing regardless this was not an argument you'd be winning anytime soon with it clearly being two against one.
"leah i don't want to!" you whined after the blonde had wrestled a jersey onto you, laying down on the bed stubbornly. "well too bad! now are you walking downstairs or am i carrying you?" the girl questioned, hands on her hips as she stared down at you from the end of the bed.
"why can't you and lia just do everything you normally do but without me?" you sighed as your girlfriend rolled her eyes. "because thats not how we did it last time and last time we won 5-0. you weren't here the time before that and we lost 4-2." leah rationalized, gesturing her hands around wildly.
"can i at least read my book while you watch?" you tried to bargain as the defender shook her head. "no! you didn't do that last time, isn't happening this time. now up!" leah motioned, clicking her fingers impatiently.
"kick off in two minutes!" you heard lia yell from downstairs as your leah's eyes widened and before you could blink she was manhandling you up and off the bed, pulling you toward the door as you groaned but didn't dig your heels in.
"okay. you were there with the red pillow and the scarf, i was here with the blue pillow and babe you were here." you were once again manhandled to lay down between leahs legs, a beanie forcefully tugged over your head, your hand smacked away as you tried to pull it off.
"oh! i think your hood was up too." lia remembered as leah quickly pulled her hood up and over her head, the whistle blowing for kick off. "the two of you are ridiculous, you know that right?" you sighed but wiggled around a little to find a comfortable position.
"perfect. you were in a grumpy mood last game too, thank you for your cooperation stroppy!" leah teased peppering several kisses across your face as you pushed her away, interlocking your fingers with hers and wrapping her arms tighter around you.
as time passed you grew bored of the game. you loved watching your girlfriend play and would never ever miss an opportunity to be there and cheer her on. but you'd never shared the same passion that the blonde had for watching games at home.
you'd appease her by sitting with her at times when she wanted, though your attention was always elsewhere and you encouraged her to invite the girls over so she had other people to actually watch with.
but the premier league north london derby always commanded an extra special set of rules and regulations, and your strong willed girlfriend was always the first to enforce them.
you sat quietly and patiently throughout the first half, arsenal going up 2-0 before suddenly by half time it was 2-1, and then a few minutes into the second half it was locked 2-2.
you'd long grown used to leahs tendencies to scream at the players on tv as if they could hear her, learning how to block it out and zone off into your own little world.
today was no different though you were much more tired than most nights you laid down with the blonde to watch a match, and with lia there for her to discuss and commentate with it was easy for you to drift off.
"hey! there's no sleeping during the derby." leah laughed, pinching your cheeks as she noticed your eyes closed, lia smiling in amusement as you exhaled deeply.
"i'm here, i'm wearing your stupid vintage shirt and beanie, im sitting in my designated position. why can't i take a nap?" you huffed in annoyance. "how can you fall asleep at a time like this baby? its deadlocked 2-2 this is fantastic football babe!" leah protested as you shrugged, unbothered.
"leave her be." lia chuckled as you shot her a grateful smile, eyes closing again as leah started to argue, her best friend only shushing her as eventually her protests died down.
a smile curled into your lips as you felt her body shift beneath you, hands on your hips pulling you upwards so she could hug you a little tighter, warm lips affectionately pressing a soft kiss to your cheek.
"i can't believe she'd rather sleep than watch this, this is the best match of the season so far!"

hey while on the subject of Welcome Home, I'd like to talk about something I found interesting (tl;dr at the bottom)
so the team uncovered a toy telephone, one of those where you can dial the characters and they give you a pre-recorded answer, right?? But the thing about these pre-recorded messages is that they're supposed to reply to the kid, no matter what they're saying or if they're saying anything it at all, y'know? So it is incredibly interesting that the messages shown are that of the characters responding to silence.
the person on the phone says nothing, and the characters, upon hearing nothing, respond with "hello? hello are you there"s like any other person; they start talking as their character and when it becomes clear the person on our line isn't going to respond, they end the call
And here's where it gets more interesting, and it has everything to do with Eddie Dear
So you see, all the characters have different responses to the silent call before leaving: Barnaby tells a joke, Julie invents a game, Poppy thinks she might've broken the phone and tries to fix it (unsuccessfully), and Sally assumes they have stage-fright, just to name a few examples.
But then you hear Eddie's call
He starts off with the post office jingle and when no one answers, he tries singing the jingle again, this time a longer version and he quickly runs out of breath
It is then that he thinks to himself "maybe there's no one there"
He is the ONLY CHARACTER in the cast that even CONSIDERS this; and seconds later he is the ONLY ONE that begins to QUESTION the NATURE OF THIS CALL
LOOK AT HIS DIALOGUE
DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE????
The other characters assume it's a prank call or some other excuse, but Eddie is the only one who wonders; the only one who begins to contemplate like "wait, why am in a call anyway?"
add this to other Eddie events like the santa commercial and homewarming...
I think he's actually waking up. hell, who's to say he isn't already awake? and this only makes me scared of what will happen to him.
speaking of which, I read another theory earlier that said that perhaps the reason this is all happening to him is that the Playfellow Workshop was planning on removing him from the show because they felt he was "insignificant" or simply didn't add anything other than being the mailman, and they slowly started removing his presence from the media (the way he's skipped on the santa's toys commercial thing and that other episode when wally and Barnaby go around asking everyone EXCEPT Eddie what homewarming is) until they could get rid of him completely.
what do you guys think?
tl;dr = looking at the toy phone responses, it's weird that they have a line replying to silence seeing as that's not the point of the toy, and also it's weird that Eddie Dear is the only character who, out of all the other responses, is the only one to acknowledge the odd nature of the call. my theory is that Eddie might be the next (assuming Wally and/or Home to be the first ones self-aware) to wake up from the puppet illusion, paired with another theory that the company was trying to remove Eddie from the show

B my friend I am begging for more Wally fics. Please, what do I have to do?
The multitude of answers that could send me directly to the second circle of hell…
“Get on your knees…please.”
Warning: smut
“You don’t have to say please. I want you to tell me what to do,” you said before kneeling before him. Your hands immediately kneaded the flesh on his thighs through his thin sweatpants. They were strong and lean and muscular. Definitely a perk dating the fastest man alive.
“Oh, okay. Uhh yeah now that you’re on your knees… uh, can you,” Wally started but his cheeks were already turning red. He couldn’t seem to tell you what to do despite your request.
“What can I do for you,” you asked looking up at him suggestively. You tried not to control the situation but that’s literally what you trained your entire life to be so giving over control wasn’t natural. Your hands ran up his thighs slowly. Wally inhaled quickly.
“Right. Uhh, can you blow-blow me?” He asked shyly. It was adorable. You kissed his thigh.
“Do you want me to suck your cock, baby?”
He shivered as your fingers ran along the seam of his pants before sliding them down. He was already semi hard. Wally finally understood your question and nodded quickly.
“Words.”
“Please suck my dick,” he stammered and you grinned up at him.
“Absolutely my pleasure,” you said before wrapping your hand around him. You looked up at him through your lashes while sliding your tongue along his length. He inhaled roughly as just the teasing.
When you finally put him in your mouth, Wally grabbed the table behind him to keep his knees from buckling. He never had a complaint about your technique. You sucked him off with one hand holding him in place. Your other hand unbuttoned and slid off your top and bra. He groaned with you started teasing your tit at the same time.
After just a minute he was pulling back. You looked up at him confused. His face was flushed and he was breathing hard.
“I want you,” he said while pulling you up to kiss. His wet hard cock ran across your stomach. Wally’s hands made quick work of pulling the rest of your clothes off. “Fucking beautiful,” he muttered under his breath. “Can I fuck you?”
“Please,” you breathed as you grinded together.
Wally grabbed you by the waist and lifted you up before slowly sliding his cock in. You could feel every inch. He groaned and froze as he bottomed out.
“Move,” you all but begged. He let out a choked laugh.
“Can’t. Give me a sec. I don’t want to cum,” he admitted. His fingers kneaded your hips.
“Wall, we can go another round. Please just fuck me,” you begged while trying to move your hips. He groaned loudly before moving his hips. It was erratic just like his breathing. He would thrust quickly before forcing himself to stop.
It was only a minute before you felt him shudder before filling you. Wally whined and shoved deeper in pleasure. “Sorry,” he breathed.
“No, want it,” you replied. He quickly turned you to sit on the table. Speedster quickness made refractory time almost none. Wally sat a rough pace as he pressed you onto the table. Finally he had taken what he wanted.
“Wait,” he said before pulling out. You resisted the urge to wrap your legs around him to pull him closer.
“Wall,” you whimpered.
He sat you back on the ground before turning you around and pressing your chest onto the table before taking you from behind. His hand actually held your hair. This was what you wanted, Wally taking control.
“There,” you breathed and his fingers slid down to rub at your clit as he fucked into you. You moaned his name over and over like a prayer as he hit the perfect spot. “Please,” you whined mindlessly. You didn’t even know what you were begging for but Wally seemed to know.
“I’ve got you.”
He could feel you tightening around him as your orgasm drew closer. A few well placed strokes with his finger on your clit and you cried out his name as you came. Wally lasted all of 12 seconds longer before finishing as well. He thrusts through both of your highs.
“Oh fuck,” you breathed. He kissed your shoulder before pulling up.
“That was-“
“Not finished,” you replied. “If you don’t take me upstairs in the next 10 seconds and fuck me like it’s your job, I will start without you.”
“Oh shit,” he replied before scooping you up and racing upstairs.
“Shut the door. You’re not going anywhere,” you replied. Wally has probably never ran so fast in his life to comply. It was going to be a fun night.

secrets - dick grayson
dick grayson x reader one shot
fluff; sfw
warnings; none. characters may be out of character, this is my first time writing for them and I haven’t seen young justice in a while. Not edited well lol
universe: young justice
summary; Dick likes you, and you like Dick, it’s obvious. The only people that don’t seem in on it, are the both of you, the rest of young justice seems to have a plan to fix that.
By this point, you and the group of now nearly young adults have gotten quite close, you could even say they are like family. Every member seems to have their own very special relationship with you that has grown over time and nothing has quite as much value as that. Your relationship with Dick how ever, is probably the closest connection you’ve ever had. From the very start you took to him, finding his humor and opinions fit just right with your own, and everyone else has seemed to notice that as well. M’gann has always pushed the idea of you and Dick being more than friends, which you’ve admitted liking the idea of. Alas, your nerves have created a large pool of anxiety to sit at the bottom of your stomach at the simple idea of conveying your feelings to him.
“He obviously likes you back, in love even!”
“You’re nervous for no reason, what if someone else comes along? Don’t you want to secure him?”
“If you don’t tell him me and Conner will!”
“Oh come on y/n, why don’t you believe me?! He totally wants you!”
You’ve heard it all really, her begs and pleads, trying to reason with you to just gain the courage and tell him. Little does she know, it isn’t that easy and over time she’s seemed to give up. You’re not sure why you have such a hard time believing he would feel the same way, Dick is just so special and the chance that he doesn’t feel that way can’t be taken.
Other than that, everyone is very open and honest with each other, maybe even too open some times. That’s why their behavior’s have been… odd the past few days. Whispering, huddling, and glances to the side have made you question if there’s something wrong, but when you’ve asked they all say everything is fine and not to worry. Little did you know, they had a plan to fix this on-going back and forth between you and Dick.
“I actually can’t stand you, quit winning!” Aqua-lads laughing could be heard over Wally’s moaning and groaning. “Maybe if you were better at this game, you’d win.” Mg’ann walks over to you with a sheepish grin, motioning with her head over to the boys arguing on the couch. “How many times have they played this game today?” She asks, causing you to sigh and shrug your shoulders. “Today, you mean in the last week? Kid’s never going to win.” You both laugh and walk over to the couch, standing behind it to watch the boys start their new match. You could care less about the game, but watching Wally squirm always makes you laugh.
Conner makes his way into the room after a while of watching them argue, after Wally of course loses again. “Won’t you go a little easier on me dude, seriously it’s not even fun any more!” Conner throws his arm around the Martian next to you, rolling his eyes at the childish behavior. “You still wouldn’t win, if it’s not fun anymore how could you keep playing it? I could hear you shrieking from my room.” Wally whips around and shoots Conner a deadly look, one that seemed to not phase the super boy. “Oh yeah? You try beating this fish freak then!” Conner gives his girl friend a small peck on the cheek before hopping the back of the couch and taking a seat next to the boys. They began a new game and started at it, tension filling the room. “I don’t wanna be in here when Conner wins.” You said, walking off with a chuckle. Your best friend follows behind you, both of you heading back to the kitchen to snack on the grapes you’ve been picking at for the last hour.
Days like this, no missions, no jobs to do, tend to bore you all but the boys arguing always make the days go by faster.
The base announces that Robin has finally arrived, making you sigh in relief that there’d be someone to break it up when Wally finally loses his mind. “What did I miss?” His voice rings through the kitchen, making you smile. You turn to see him, his usual comfortable get up that he wears when he’s not actively Robin. “A whole lot of nothing.” You sigh out as he walks over and pops a grape in his mouth. You had gotten the green ones because you know they are his favorite, “green, my favorite.” He grins, walking over to the couch after stealing a few more. “Robin!” Wally yells with a grin, his eyes lighting up at the sight of his best friend arriving. “You’re here! They’ve been kicking my ass 1v1, you gotta jump in!” Dick takes no time hopping on the couch and grabbing a controller making you roll your eyes. All these boys do are play games in their free time, or spar with eachother when they are tired of that.
A few hours later, they decided they had enough of the silly games and wanted to eat. Being the good team mate and friend that you are, you decided to cook them something, feeling extra nice. They all sat on the couch, chatting and giggling while you slave away in the kitchen. You were left with your thoughts and the sound of bacon sizzling on the pan until Dick appeared behind you, watching the bacon cook. “Hey.” You nearly jump out of your skin, turning to see a chuckling Robin. “Scare you?” He said with a smirk, a gleam shining from his iconic sunglasses. You roll your eyes and softly smack him across the arm, “no.” He chuckles to himself again, grabbing the tongs from the counter and flipping a few pieces on the pan that needed it. “You can go sit down if you want, y/n.” A small blush threatens to crawl onto your cheeks, but your pride won’t let it. Dick is the only one that ever offers to help you cook, and you’ve always found that so sweet. “No, we can do it together.” You said, smiling up at him which he quickly returns.
As the bacon cooks and you listen to Dick talk about his day before arriving, you notice the racket from earlier had subsided… too much. From the kitchen, you look over to eye your friends on the couch who seem to be whispering like they have been for the last week. What on earth? Why do they keep doing that? Since when do we keep secrets? You decide to ignore it and focus back on what Dick is saying, along with the food that he just finished up. “Come get it!” He yells from beside you, turning off the stove and walking the pan over to the table. You find yourself forgetting the whispering, and instead begin to think about how sweet Dick truly is to you and the rest of the team, but especially you. Wally comes rushing in, everyone else following behind. “Thanks Rob.” He says with a grin before sitting down to munch and crunch. Everyone else takes a seat, including you. “Don’t thank me, thank y/n.” Dick said with a sheepish smile, taking a seat across from you and Wally.
Kid smirks to himself, leaning over and giving you a small peck on the cheek. “Thanks, y/n.” This is the first time he’s ever done something so flirtatious with you, besides his usual boyish humor. A small blush does creep onto your cheeks this time, a gulp attempting to swallow your confusion. “Yeah, no problem.” Dick seems to eye Wally, like he was also confused on why he did that but it was left at that, dinner commencing.
After everyone talked and ate, you decided that sitting and watching a movie would be fun and relaxing. The movie carried on normally, how any watch fest with the team would until Wally’s arm seemed to drape over your shoulder loosely half way through the movie. To be honest, you didn’t even notice it at first, until you felt him scoot a little closer on the couch. That was when you felt the weight of his arm, even a little tug to get you closer. Just like the behavior at the table this confused you, and flustered you at the same time. The feelings you have for Dick have never been something you’ve had for Wally, and you never thought he liked you like that either. You felt a pair of eyes staring into your forehead, which by investigation was Dick, who had a look on his face at what you assumed was the arm around you. No body else looked over or said anything, like this was normal and the movie is just that good, which it’s really not. You also let the arm thing slide, that was until about ten minutes later, you feel Kid’s hand begin to rub circles onto your upper arm. “Wally? What are you doing?” You ask calmly, scooting away a tad and glancing his direction. “Yeah Wally, what are you doing?” Dick’s voice comes from the other side of the couch, laced with irritation. “Oh I’m sorry y/n, am I not allowed to touch you?” Wally asks, softly, ignoring Robin. You go to open your mouth and respond but another voice cuts you off. “No. You’re not.” Dick’s voice sounds even darker than before, a look of disgust on his face. Wally’s lips turn into a smug smirk, his arm leaving your shoulder. “You’re not y/n, why not let her answer?” He says, now turning to you. Everyone’s eyes seem to be on you, some looks of intrigue like they want to know the answer and others just enjoying the show it seems. “Her answer is no.” Dick responds again before you can speak, but it isn’t like you knew what to say. Dick stands up and walks over, taking a quick seat on the other side of you. “What’s your sudden interest in y/n, huh? What makes you think she’d want you?” Wally smirks at him, that usual snarky little face he gets when he knows he has started something. “Why do you care so much, Rob? Jealous?” The idea of him being jealous makes a blush appear on your cheeks for the second time tonight. He tuts his lips at Wally’s question and sits back, arms crossed. “No.” This makes your heart ache a bit, but you decide to sit back and watch the screen again, happy to see everyone else finished with that conversation and do the same.
-
That night had ended, and the next day comes, starting like most days, until it got later and someone was missing. The night before everyone had decided to sleep there, but you watched as Dick left early, not saying a word to anyone. You know him well and this is very much unlike him, but no body seemed to bring it up.
After worrying about it all day, the base announces that Robin has arrived, making everyone who is currently sitting on the couch, look over in the direction he’s expected from. He comes in, seeming a bit more like himself as he starts talking to everyone about something Bruce was telling him this morning.
Wally had been normal all day, no incidents happening like yesterday, which makes you even more confused about the whole thing.
“Do you want to cook again, or are we ordering food?” M’gann asks, clearly having food on the brain. “Let’s give this babe a break and order something.” Wally says, motioning over to you. Babe? Why is he flirting with you? You go to tell him to knock it off honestly, you don’t get why he’s flirting with you, but M’gann and Conner interrupt, going on about what to order. You notice Dick go quiet after this, as do you. Wally’s hand comes down and rests on your knee, your eyes quickly darting down to it. Another pair of eyes seem to do the same, Dick’s eyes. He gets that same expression as he did last night, but this time he also looks… sad? Before you can move his hand, which you were about to do, Dick quickly stands up, but only you seemed to notice. His fist quickly made contact with Wally’s face, making him fall back into the couch. It was so quick, and it definitely caught everyone’s attention. “Hey!” Wally yells as he presses his hand to his own face, which was probably on fire. “You fucking knew!” Dick yelled, fists clenched. “You’ve always known how I feel about y/n and you have the nerve to go after her- in front of me!” Your face goes into shock, completely taken aback by what he said. “How dare you.” He says very seriously, but sadness laced his words. Before anyone could speak he storms off, in the direction of the room he stays in when he’s here. The room goes silent, eyes all quickly darting away from eachother. “I’m sorry, I set this up, I didn’t know he would get so upset.” M’gann finally spoke, making everyone look in her direction. “He wants to kill me.” Wally sighed, shoulders falling in defeat. You feel very confused and now borderline frustrated, finally you speak. “What’s going on?” You say, tone confused but firm. “What did you do?” You say, looking at M’gann. “It wasn’t just her, we planned it. We wanted one of you to confess your feelings so we set it up to make Rob jealous and confess, we didn’t know he would freak out on him.” Conner said from next to her, a guilty look painting all their faces. This has all been so confusing it just now hits you that, Dick likes you back.
“You have to go talk to him, I’ll take the beating for it later.” Wally says with a small side ways grin, making you sigh, a flustered feeling coating your stomach. “Okay…” You said softly, going to stand and walk in the direction he went.
You took your sweet time, feeling nervous, what do you say? A solid knock on his door is all you have the courage to do, but he doesn’t respond. You stand there for a moment, frozen in fear before you build up the courage to do it again. “What.” Is all you hear, flat and hurt. “Can I come in, Rob?” You say softly, hand on the door. It stays quiet before you hear a shuffle and the door open. You push your way in softly, seeing his figure stand next to the door, closing it behind you. “Do you really want Wally?” He asks, in a point blank tone, an expression you’ve never seen on his face. Your eyes widen in surprise, an answer stuttering out. “What? No.” You could tell from his eyes that he actually cried a bit, making you feel worse. “He- he didn’t mean it! It was just to get one of us to admit we like eachother.” His eyes now widened, picking up on the fact that you just admitted to feeling the same way he did the whole time. “So you don’t want him?” He asks, face softening much more than before. You shake your head, twiddling your fingers down at your waist, “no, I want you.” His eyes seemed to light up instantly, a grin appearing against his will.
“Yeah?” He said, a grin also quickly appearing on you as well. “Yeah.” It seemed like he’d never make a move, nervousness still covering his face so you move in closer and grab his jaw, gently placing a kiss on his lips. It doesn’t take but a second for you both to melt into each other, his hands coming to hold your waist. He pulls at you to come closer, a hum of satisfaction leaving his lips. This led to some more long awaited kissing, both of you clearly relieved to finally have what you’ve always wanted. He pulls away eventually, looking down at you with admiration in his eyes and swollen lips.
“I totally knew you’d want me and not a guy who sucks at video games.”

Everyone's comm beeps in their ear, drawing their attention. "Kon, Jon, Cassie, and Bart all know now. I'm bribing them with the footage of Phase One." Tim's voice says. Their comms beep again and the line goes silent.
Dick sighs. Yeah, that checks. Honestly, he's surprised those four hadn't been told way earlier than now.
"What's wrong?" Wally asks from beside him.
"Nothing," ha answers. He finishes the drink in his hand in one go.
Wally snorts softly. "Yeah, sure. I assume someone's blown it?"
"Tim and Dami. Both Superboy's, Wonder Girl, and Impulse all know now."
"Our Wonder Girl?"
"Tim's.
"Ah." A beat. "The problem?"
"No problem. Though, B might say something."
"I thought he was all for telling the teams?"
"He is! This was all his idea! But Tim's bribing the other four with the footage of the Cave."
"You mean the footage that I haven't seen yet?"
"Yep."
"Then what are we waiting for?" Wally grabs his hand, "Let's go get Donna and go watch!"
Dick sighs again and goes along. He clicks his own comm on and says, "Me, Wally, and Donna are gonna come watch, too. Wally insists."
Damian's voice comes next. "Since when does Troy know?"
"Probably since I told her and Wally."
"What?" Steph's voice whines, "You've had two people know for so long?"
Before he can respond, Barbra hisses, "Hey! This is supposed to be a distraction free line, guys."
Jason snorts, "Me, Roy, Lian, and Duke are on our way, too. You girls should come watch; we'll make a party out of it."
"Good idea," Cass says.
Dick can see Bruce on the other side of the room, unable to react to a thing that's being said in his ear. Ha!
***
Bruce watched his kids all leave the room. He's glad that their teams know, though why did they have to let it slip while the party was still going on? Oh, well, nothing to do about it now. Especially because Oliver's agreed to give a speech.
"Ollie, dear, it's time for your speech now, isn't it?"
"Ah, yes." Oliver says, light pink dusting his cheeks at the address Bruce had been using since they were in high school. He made his way to the stage, the band quieting as he took the podium. "If I may have everyone's attention for just a moment?"
Great start, Ollie.
"Like all of you, the invitation to this gala tonight came as a surprise. A welcome one, but a surprise nonetheless. Now, I won't keep your attention for long, but, on behalf of Bruce, I'd like to thank everyone for coming tonight. This Gala tonight, Charity for Justice, is a fantastic way for us to give back to the people who work so hard to save us. And it's not just the Justice League; Doctors, Teachers, Veterans, et cetera. They're all heroes who deserve all the help we can give them. Being here tonight, while it may seem superficial, is a step in the right direction to helping the heroes of the world. Now, I don't know how Bruce is going to get this money to the Justice League, but I'm not one to questions his ways or his motivations. He's been a friend of mine since we were in high school, and I trust him with my life. Thank you, Bruce, for hosting tonight; And thank you all for coming and donating." Nodding to the audience, Oliver walked from the stage as they clapped.
Bruce smiled at Oliver as they met at the bottom of the stairs leading to the stage. "Thanks, Ollie. I didn't know you trusted me so much."
Oliver matched his smile. "'Course I do, Brucie! And what you're doing tonight is really good. I might just have to steal this idea from you."
Laughing, Bruce patted Oliver's shoulder before taking his place on the stage. "Thanks, Oliver, for speaking tonight. I know it was last minute, but you did great." The crowd chuckled a bit as Oliver raised the glass he now held. "At the risk of sounding like a broken record, thanks again, everyone, for coming here tonight. I know a lot of you are far from home, but it means a lot that you made the trip out.
"Admittedly, this entire gala was a spur of the moment decision. My kids, actually, came up with the idea, so if you're going to thank anyone, it should be them. They did everything on their own while sat back and let them do their thing.
"When you think of heroes, you're most likely to think of the Justice League and their sidekicks. But, who were the heroes before the Justice League was founded? Perseus, Heracles, Aeneas, Remus, Romulus, Vldar, Ragnar Lodbrok, Hua Mulan, Guan Yu. All of them were warriors. But, does combat make a hero? I don't think so. I think the thing that makes a hero is the willingness to help; the willingness to give even if you have nothing to give; the willingness to do what it takes to make sure someone gets to live even just a little bit longer.
"Oxford dictionary defines the word 'hero' as "a person who is admired or idealized for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities". While I agree, I think that this is a much too niche definition. After all, I've met hundreds of people who I would consider heroes, heard thousands more stories- and not one of them has been 'admired' or 'idealised' for it.
"Tonight, I've asked for donations from each of you. All of the money will be going towards helping the heroes of the world; those who are recognised as such, those who aren't, and everyone in between. Every donation made will be matched by not only myself, but Wayne Industries as well. Then, all the money will be anonymously give to the heroes of every city represented here.
"Again, I'm so glad everyone could make it tonight, and I'm beyond glad that you've all be generous enough to help our heroes. Please enjoy the rest of your evening." The applause was loud as he walked off stage, the music picking up softly before crescendoing as the crowd began talking again.
The comm in his ear clicked just before Barbra started speaking. "That was a good speech, B. Brought some of us to tears."
He picked up a drink and sipped it as he spoke into his own comm piece. "You're watching the cameras?"
"Naturally," Damian said.
"We're all too comfortable to move," Tim explained, "So Bab's pulled the cameras up on the TV just as Oliver finished speaking."
"I've never heard Batman talk so much..." That was Bart Allen, clearly close enough to hear him over Tim's line, but not close enough to be intentional.
"Hell," Donna was probably sprawled across Dick and Wally, "I've never seen him express emotion and I knew who he was!"
Bruce hid a laugh and a smirk behind his drink. "Watch it, now."
There were a few squeaks as the comms all clicked off, Barbra taking care of his as well.
The ballroom was emptying, slower than he would like, but faster than expected. The kids (because that's what they are, no matter how old they may be) all trickled back into the ballroom, waving goodbye and joining their families as they went, though his own kept themselves near the door to say goodbye to everyone leaving. He decided to join them.
Just as Oliver, Dinah, Roy, and Lian were leaving, he stopped his old friend and pulled him aside.
Oliver's guard was still down, relaxed even as Bruce pulled him into a completely empty room and shut the door. He heard the click of a comm turning on, though no one spoke, so he could only assume it was his own.
"I was just about to head home; What's up, Bruce?"
"Oliver, there's something I need to tell you." This was gonna be so funny.
"Bruce?"
When had first started out, he knew that having the same voice in and out of costume would be a potentially detrimental mistake, so he'd dropped his voice as low as he dared and added the grit to it. Eventually, he'd gotten a voice changer, but he'd kept up the training to make sure he didn't damage his voice in case the voice changer ever broke.
Taking a deep breath, Bruce turned around and dropped his voice. "I'm Batman."

Without knocking, Wally dashed into the room, squeezing between a naked Kori and Dick.
Wally (grinning mischievously): We've all heard of top or bottom, but what about middle? Hi! I think we can make this work.
Dick groaned, covering his face with a pillow and screaming into it.
Wally (playfully): All right, one of you is already on board.
Dick (voice muffled, frustrated): Stop trying to make this a throuple! And how did you get into my house?
Wally (holding up a key with a cheeky grin): Spare key.
Dick (exasperated, peeking out from under the pillow): I knew giving you that was a mistake.
Kori (smiling softly): Wally, as much fun as we've had with you in the past, we stand by our decision to not have a throuple.
Wally (pouting): Aww man… All right, I respect your decision.
Kori (nodding, relieved): Thank you. See, Dick? It was that easy.
Dick (keeping his face covered, voice tight): Wally, finish the sentence.
Wally (perking up): Can we do it together tonight?
Dick (eyes widening in horror): Oh my God! If I say maybe can you leave my house?
Wally (excited, already darting toward the exit): Yes!
Wally sped out of the room, a planner marked with the date already in hand, leaving Kori and Dick in bed.
Kori (giggling as she snuggled closer to Dick): I'm not against having him as an option for you, but the three way relationship has never been a thing for me.
Dick (sighing, yet amused): Thank you. He's really persistent about it after the first time we brought him in.
Kori (playfully): This might sound odd, but are you flattered? I kind of am.
Dick (chuckling): Shush.

you never had many great experiences with making friends in the prior life never mind the former. for most of it you kept to yourself.
wally was one of the first people that you met after it happened. he welcomed you with open arms on one of the hardest days of your entire existence and you couldn't have been more appreciative of him.
you had accidentally died in 2019.
your death was quite tragic.
getting pushed through the sea of people that walked through the stadium, this was already way too much human contact then you signed up for, but how could you say no to the tall blonde that had invited you to the game.
eyes searching for any spare seats at the bottom of the bleachers, your hands digging deeper into the pockets of the oversized hoodie that flowed around your frame. already feeling completely out of place as an introvert, but even more so when you were one of the few not wearing the school colours.
keeping your head down as you proceeded up the metal steps, people accidentally shoulder barging you as you did.
finally getting to the top stair as a large gust of wind blew past you. grabbing a hold of the railing, your breath stuck in the back of your throat as you shuffled carefully over to the seats.
the sound of the loud pre-game shouts from the cheerleaders, to the jocks warming up, it all felt a bit too much. your mouth dry, throat pinching finding it hard to breath as you clawed at your chest, suddenly not able to regulate your breathing.
more people walking up the steps made the temporary flooring wobble. you walked further and further back to make room until it was too late and you were falling, very fast, almost too fast.
screaming out for any type of help, but it was too late. everything went black. no one heard you screams, drowned out by the crowd cheered as the game started. sadly your body was only discovered after the game had finished.
at first you spent a lot of your days in the same place that you died in, trying to shout out to investigators, to anyone. no one could hear you, this couldn't be happening.
giving up on yelling, you huffed as you plopped yourself down on the grass, rethinking everything that happened that night.
you would've still been alive if you hadn't agreed to go.
no you hadn't had any major life changing events in the near future but it was still way too early, you were only seventeen.
a couple of sleepless nights had gone by, you felt numb. empty.
angry at how everything was so perfectly peaceful. your parents were distraught, you watched how they were stood so apart, your dad looking sad and your mother looking angry.
you didn't want them to be upset. as much as you had your ups and downs with them and there still being so many things left unsaid, they were still your parents and seeing their relationship fall apart because of your death pained you. all you could do was sit back and watch.
you felt stupid for saying that you felt alone when you were alive because now you were well and truly alone here... wherever you were.
"beautiful day, isn't it?" a male voice from beside you spoke but you stayed silent, continuing to the pick at the edge of your nails assuming it was just one of the police officers talking to their men.
"nope? okay understandable."
glancing over to the person who sat beside you. eyebrows scrunched together, eyes narrowed. is he talking to me?
the brunette slid his sunglasses down his nose, squinting as the sun shone down bright onto the two of you.
"it's rude to stare ya know?" his eyes focused on yours, waiting for an answer but you were completely stunned.
"you can see me? no fucking way!" you quickly pushed yourself up from where you were sat, smiling giddily.
"wait..."
there was only one way to make sure that this was real, cautiously reaching your hand out and poked him with your index finger. you were met with his skin.
"ouch! that hurts you know." he exclaimed, pretending to be pain, pouting as he rubbed the same spot you touched.
"it is so good to finally speak to someone, i thought i was alone in this terrible place."
"i'm y/n! what's your name?" you held out your hand for him, he took it and instead of shaking it, he flipped yours over and placed a kiss upon it.
from then on you two were inseparable. whether it would be just eating together or watching living teenagers do stupid shit, laughing your asses off doing so.
sometimes you'd just lay smack bang in the centre of the football stadium, stargazing. it became a daily occurrence since ghosts didn't actually need sleep.
throughout the years you had a lot of time to spend together. that also meant that it gave you a lot of time to think, which wasn't necessarily a good thing.
the times you spent alone were torture, the silence getting too loud.
now you were sat in the school library, laying on top of one of the shelves, feet swaying back and forth before meeting with the wood. the clock ticked away and so did the sound of scribbling of studying students.
you had spent so much time in this place that it had become a some type of home to you, times like this when you'd reminisce on the memories wasn't always a great idea.
you worried a lot.
knowing that one day you're gonna pass over and that he's gonna pass over scared you. you never really thought about it. losing him all together? it felt impossible.
your chest felt tight, sitting up panicking. you hadn't been by yourself through a panic attack since your accident.
jumping off of the bookshelf, gasping for air. trying to remember the counting technique that wally had taught you, falling to your knees now hyperventilating when you heard echoed shouts from beside you.
it felt like you were underwater, your chest screaming for some sort of relief.
it wasn't until you felt two familiar large hands cup your cheeks, their thumbs wiping away the tears that had once streamed down your cheeks. tilting your face to be met with wally's, his beautiful brown eyes full of concern.
that's when you felt your chest untighten, breathing became much easier as you followed his deep, evened out breaths.
he pulled you into his lap, one hand wrapped securely around your waist as one caressed your hair. your ear pressed against his chest, hearing the rapid beat of his heart.
staying like that helped, him holding you helped.
squeezing your eyes tightly shut, trying to savour this moment. his shirt bunched firmly in your fist.

A Broken Sort of Normal Part 12
WC:1376, Masterpost
“Danny, come on,” Wally said, laughter clear in his voice. “There will be time to stare at the stars after.”
“But Flash, space,” Danny said with what he would readily admit as a whine as he motioned to the expansive view of space with earth floating in the bottom of the window. Danny didn’t know if the Zeta tube had been exactly worth the trip (he had nearly had a panic attack), but the view made a pretty compelling argument. The urge to go intangible and phase through the acrylic to be in space was so strong that Danny didn't even dare touch the window.
“But your meeting, Danny. Flash is going to be waiting for you, and you how how us Flashes get.”
Danny sighed but turned away from the window with one lingering look.
“Go and be great. After we can stare at space some and, maybe… if you’re up to it, meet some of my friends?”
“Like the infamous Nightwing?”
“Shush,” Wally said, placing a finger to his lips. “He’s like Beetlejuice, you might summon him just by saying his name.”
“Pretty sure you need to do that three times,” Danny pointed out, following Wally to the door.
“Oh yeah? You up on ghost lore?”
“Oh, yeah, I’m an expert,” Danny said dryly. If only Wally knew.
(Well, then Danny would be dead.)
“We can watch it next date night. Right now, you go be awesome, hero.”
“Flash, you really cannot call me a hero when we’re in the Justice League base.”
“Can and will, now go, hero,” Wally said, shooing Danny down the hall to where Barry was waiting.
“Gonna give me any hints about what’s going on?” Danny asked the older Flash once they had started walking.
“Just to be yourself,” Barry said. “You’re a good person and you know what you’re doing out there in the field. I wouldn’t’ve recommended you for this otherwise. And I meant what I said, your ability to take no crap is part of why I did. You don’t have to take any crap from anyone in there either, no matter who they are.”
Who they were turned out to be many of the founding members: Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, and of course Flash… Flash who really thought too highly of him. (What was with the Flashes doing that?)
There were also three other people not dressed in supersuits, who Danny figured were there for the same reason he was. Whatever that was.
“Flash,” Superman said with a nod to the hero and then a smile to Danny. “And you must be Mr. Fenton.”
“Just Danny is fine, thank you for the invitation,” Danny said, shaking Superman’s hand, continually reminding himself not to use any of his strength all the while.
“Of course, have a seat. We’re just waiting on… well, never mind,” Superman said cheerfully as the Martian Manhunter swept into the room. (Danny help back the excite squeak he wanted to make.) “J’onn.”
“Superman. Am I late?”
“Just on time. We can go ahead and get started.”
Everyone settled around the table, the normal people waiting for the heroes to take their preferred seats before settling together on the other side over the oval table.
“Thank you all for coming here today,” Wonder Woman said with a warm smile. “As you know, we’ve asked you here today based on your capabilities. Specifically, to help us build an emergency response team that can act in aid of crises the Justice League responds to.”
“We’ve already been doing this in some places at the city level,” Barry said, leaning forward. His hands were clasped on the table. Danny knew from experience that it was just so that he didn’t fidget from having to sit still. “Central City has been operating with our own set up for two years now and we’ve seen huge success in both lives saved, but also a bigger level of overall personal safety during attacks. People are getting out of the way faster, safer, and more often than before.”
“So we’re looking to do the same thing on a bigger level and we’d like your advice,” Superman said. “Right now, you’re here as consultants and will be paid for your time. Assuming we all work well together, you’ll have a chance to sign on once things are officially underway.”
Danny raised his hand.
“You can just talk, Danny, this isn’t school,” Flash said.
Danny felt a blush crawl up his cheeks and sat up straighter, stylus tapping nervously against his tablet. “I know this is putting the cart before the horse, but you can’t need us all the time. If we choose to sign up, will we still be able to work our current jobs? I don’t want to abandon Central. I mean, not that they can’t do without me, I have great coworkers, but it’s… you know, home.”
“A noble want,” Wonder Woman said. “The reality of it would depend on the level of administration work you are in charge of, but no. You should be able to continue working in Central and be on call for other emergencies, or that is our assumption. You all are the experts, though, which is why you are here. Perhaps introductions are in order?”
“Brent Green,” the one furthest from Danny cut in without hesitation. He was the most formally dressed of all of them, suit jacket and all, and had that air of superiority that made Danny want to bristle. “Director of Star City’s emergency response team.”
“Debra Day,” the woman next to Danny said next. There was a southern twang to her words. “Thirty years of search and rescue experience, ex Coast Guard, currently focused on instruction.”
“Leo Klein, they/them,” the last said. “Emergency management and prevention training.”
“Danny Fenton.” He felt out of place compared to all the other skill sets. “Team lead and field medic in Central City.”
“And I’m sure you know us,” Superman said with a chuckle. “Now, what are your thoughts.”
“First we have to establish a system of hierarchy and devision of labor,” Brent said, once again jumping in before anyone else. “It is important to know who has right away in the field.”
Danny resisted the urge to raise his hand again and took the chance of Brent pausing to speak. “Those are all good thoughts, but you’re getting ahead of things. Cities and countries will already have established teams, even if it’s just police and fire fighters. Are you all wanting us to come in and work with them? Ahead of them? Under their leadership? When we started in Central there were a lot of accidental hurts because the two sides didn’t sit down and talk enough at first, and this is on an even bigger scale.”
“He’s right,” Debra said. “The National Guard could be a good model both for the US, but also for any other nations you might want to explore into to see how things are handled there.”
“And you’ll need to get started on PR right away no matter the choice,” Leo said, leaning forward ad engaging now. “Like Danny said, it’s easy to step on toes and we don’t want to do any of that.”
Brent was frowning, slightly, then sighed and nodded. His shoulders relaxed a little. “No, good points. PR for the citizens too, to know to look out for us. We could get feed back on what worked in the cities with teams set up.”
“And places that have seen attacks outside of there. It’s easy to focus on big cities, but smaller towns and rural areas still can see attacks and have different needs,” Danny added to considering nods.
Now that they were all working together, Danny felt himself relaxing too. There were a lot of nerves for most people to get over working with heroes, Danny guess. Even he wasn’t immune to caliber of people that they were in the room with and he ate dinner with the one at least once a month.
Also Batman seemed to be watching him.
Well, whatever, talk was flowing easily now. They’d get their feet under them. They’d have to if they wanted this to work.

AN: And some food for all of you here too! Danny learns why he's at the Watchtower! And manages to not be too distracted by space- a true accomplishment.
