This post is going to reflect my first(? Impression about the Donquixote Family. But mostly is going to be them reminding me of other people/characters. // Éste post va a reflejar mi primera (? Impresion acerca de la Familia Donquixote. Pero más que nada va a ser ellos haciéndome recordar a otras personas/personajes.

Donquixote Doflamingo (the Joker).

Yup, that's it. Mostly because i knew Doffy like, a long time ago (2 years) and sincerely this is a popular neuron connection that i agree with.

Yup, BRO LITERALLY THEY PUT A COMPILATION OF CORAZÓN'S FALLS, and of course has to remind me of Condorito.

Matilda's mom and Giolla has the same vibe, like, look at them; almost the same pallette.

Honestly i couldn't find anyone that reminded me of Sugar, but @callmekui cooperated and told me that she reminds him of Qiqi. I don't know why tho.

When i saw his tail i immediately thought in Mario with his leaf power up costume. Then the whole thing is a mexican fighter.

Oda has a lot of mafia characters, there's even an episode of the straw hats being an italian mafia look a like. I was sure i saw another mafia guy who looked like Señor Pink..

12. The bitch- i mean Dellinger.

I saw another picture of a fish with lady legs, but Darwing fits perfectly. Kokichi was a character that @callmekui compared with. Is a mixture.

13. Buffalo.

Again, look at me in my eyes, and tell me they're not the same.

Bro. After this motherfucker appeared, i was happy with two Shinzos. The only difference is that this one has not telekinetic power (i think, I'm not sure anymore) and that's when Bakugou appears.

I’m gonna go in a different direction for part four so I figured I’d wrap up the Heart Pirates portion of it (they’ll be back)

So! Pre-timeskip only has Rosie added onto Law’s entourage during Sabaody. Not much of a difference. I’ve got Cora and Del staying behind on the Tang bc 1. Still pretending Cora is dead (hence the dyed hair) 2. Delly’s half fishman.

Which leads to revealing Rosie’s epithet as Rosie the Riveter bc why the hell not! It’s fun! And I know she doesn’t say Armsmorphosis all that much and only for her full body transformations but I couldn’t come up w a fitting catchphrase for her.

After Marineford, Cora splits up from the crew since, from this point onwards, their I Hate Doflamingo plan is starting. He decides to travel the grand line (wearing what I’ve designed for him in part one) creating his own lil information network. He’s in constant contact with his kids too.

I’ve got Del’s usual fit here: a swimsuit underneath some clothes that I think are more femme leaning and in line w Law’s style of dress. Delly looks up to him a lot here. They also cut the hoodie up themself. And high heeled boots. They intrinsically like dressing more femininely. Giolla just gave them bad fashion taste in canon ok?

In Dressrosa, I’ve plopped Delly with Nami and the others on the Sunny for the duration of it. Cue screaming match between Del and Giolla lol

Also wanted to show Del’s puffy hat at Punk Hazard.

And Shachi and Penguin without all the hats and glasses in the way. Until Oda says otherwise, Shachi is also a half human half fishman (archerfish type - yeah I looked up what fish can shoot water at people. There’s no other explanation that makes sense to me for Shachi inflating and becoming a water gun.)

Additionally: Delly and Penguin match their nail polish often.

Initially, it was a 5 page comic but when I finished first 4 the last one seemed unnecessary

Even though I was pretty busy yesterday I manage to finish the comic completely (from start to finish: sketching and planning on the pages themselves, lining and inking). The only things I didn't made in time were scanning (taking photos) and adding text which I did today.

Doflamingo and the Donquixote Pirates: Does he love them?

Doflamingo and the Donquixote Pirates are one of the most complex dynamics in One Piece, and fans are often split on whether Doflamingo truly loves his family. My take? He does, but it’s incredibly complicated.

From a young age, Doflamingo was raised by people who drilled into him the idea that their lives were expendable for his ambitions.

All the Donquixote Pirates grew up starving on the streets, seeing Doflamingo as their savior. Their journey began as street urchins, struggling to survive in a harsh world. To get by, they turned to a life of crime, driven by desperation and hunger. This life was all they knew until they encountered Doflamingo, a boy with incredible power.

To these people, Doflamingo was a ticket out of their miserable existence. They saw in him a potential leader who could offer them protection, purpose, and a chance to rise above their circumstances. In their eyes, he was a savior who could change their fate.

In turn, they fed Doflamingo toxic ideologies, reinforcing his already warped sense of self-worth and destiny. They told him he was destined for greatness and that their lives were a small price to pay for his ascent to power. This constant reinforcement shaped Doflamingo's mindset, making him believe that true loyalty meant being willing to die for one's leader.

As they followed him, the bond between Doflamingo and his crew grew more complex and entangled. His followers' unwavering loyalty and willingness to sacrifice themselves bolstered his belief in his own superiority and right to rule. He saw their sacrifices as proof of their devotion, not realizing that he was perpetuating a cycle of manipulation and exploitation.

This twisted form of loyalty is evident in many ways, such as Monet willingly sacrificing herself for him to save Caesar. It’s clear that his crew’s dedication feeds into his toxic mindset.

Take Baby 5, for instance. Doflamingo killed her predatory fiancés, but he never had a heartfelt conversation about stranger danger with her . He’s too damaged to provide that kind of emotional guidance.

When Law held Giolla captive and Doflamingo hesitated in his attack on the Sunny, Giolla later expressed she’d happily die for him. This reinforced his skewed perception of loyalty.

He has moments that show genuine care, like getting angry when Law used his powers on Buffalo and Baby 5 or insisting that no one laugh at Pica’s voice. He compliments Diamante, likely to get him off his ass and do his job.

Doflamingo’s care for Caesar Clown is another intriguing aspect. Ensuring Caesar’s safety would keep him safe from Kaido’s wrath, but he also calls Caesar his “cute subordinate” in the original Japanese, indicating some level of affection.

The complexity deepens with Corazon. Doflamingo only hinted at wanting Corazon to use the Op-Op Fruit to grant him immortality after Corazon left and the Navy was conveniently off their tails. He suspected his brother of being a spy and may have wanted to hurt him out of betrayal. Though I might be grasping at straws with this one.

In his own twisted way, Doflamingo tries to “help” by taking kids off the street and giving them powers to fight against the oppressive society they were born into . However, this is a mirror of his own upbringing, where Trebol groomed him to be a criminal and surrounded him with people who would die for him. Intentionally or not, Doflamingo perpetuates this cycle with his subordinates.

Ultimately, Doflamingo’s love for his family is there, but it’s marred by a lifetime of manipulation, violence, and a deeply ingrained toxic mindset.

I didn't know which colour her heels were so I made them the same colour as her coat which looks similar to the colour of Baby 5's heels, which created the cute idea of Giolla handing down her old heels to Baby 5, only slightly altered
