"A GIFT"
I hope you enjoy it!
Bellow I'll share my work process!
.
.
.
Without text:
Initially, it was a 5 page comic but when I finished first 4 the last one seemed unnecessary
Even though I was pretty busy yesterday I manage to finish the comic completely (from start to finish: sketching and planning on the pages themselves, lining and inking). The only things I didn't made in time were scanning (taking photos) and adding text which I did today.
Pencil sketches (last page):
Black pen lineart:
Thanks for your attention!

Doflamingo and the Donquixote Pirates: Does he love them?
Doflamingo and the Donquixote Pirates are one of the most complex dynamics in One Piece, and fans are often split on whether Doflamingo truly loves his family. My take? He does, but itâs incredibly complicated.
From a young age, Doflamingo was raised by people who drilled into him the idea that their lives were expendable for his ambitions.
All the Donquixote Pirates grew up starving on the streets, seeing Doflamingo as their savior. Their journey began as street urchins, struggling to survive in a harsh world. To get by, they turned to a life of crime, driven by desperation and hunger. This life was all they knew until they encountered Doflamingo, a boy with incredible power.
To these people, Doflamingo was a ticket out of their miserable existence. They saw in him a potential leader who could offer them protection, purpose, and a chance to rise above their circumstances. In their eyes, he was a savior who could change their fate.
In turn, they fed Doflamingo toxic ideologies, reinforcing his already warped sense of self-worth and destiny. They told him he was destined for greatness and that their lives were a small price to pay for his ascent to power. This constant reinforcement shaped Doflamingo's mindset, making him believe that true loyalty meant being willing to die for one's leader.
As they followed him, the bond between Doflamingo and his crew grew more complex and entangled. His followers' unwavering loyalty and willingness to sacrifice themselves bolstered his belief in his own superiority and right to rule. He saw their sacrifices as proof of their devotion, not realizing that he was perpetuating a cycle of manipulation and exploitation.
This twisted form of loyalty is evident in many ways, such as Monet willingly sacrificing herself for him to save Caesar. Itâs clear that his crewâs dedication feeds into his toxic mindset.
Take Baby 5, for instance. Doflamingo killed her predatory fiancĂ©s, but he never had a heartfelt conversation about stranger danger with her . Heâs too damaged to provide that kind of emotional guidance.
When Law held Giolla captive and Doflamingo hesitated in his attack on the Sunny, Giolla later expressed sheâd happily die for him. This reinforced his skewed perception of loyalty.
He has moments that show genuine care, like getting angry when Law used his powers on Buffalo and Baby 5 or insisting that no one laugh at Picaâs voice. He compliments Diamante, likely to get him off his ass and do his job.
Doflamingoâs care for Caesar Clown is another intriguing aspect. Ensuring Caesarâs safety would keep him safe from Kaidoâs wrath, but he also calls Caesar his âcute subordinateâ in the original Japanese, indicating some level of affection.
The complexity deepens with Corazon. Doflamingo only hinted at wanting Corazon to use the Op-Op Fruit to grant him immortality after Corazon left and the Navy was conveniently off their tails. He suspected his brother of being a spy and may have wanted to hurt him out of betrayal. Though I might be grasping at straws with this one.
In his own twisted way, Doflamingo tries to âhelpâ by taking kids off the street and giving them powers to fight against the oppressive society they were born into . However, this is a mirror of his own upbringing, where Trebol groomed him to be a criminal and surrounded him with people who would die for him. Intentionally or not, Doflamingo perpetuates this cycle with his subordinates.
Ultimately, Doflamingoâs love for his family is there, but itâs marred by a lifetime of manipulation, violence, and a deeply ingrained toxic mindset.

This is my little fanlore for Mr 3's past. :) Besides him an Giolla being obs both artists, I noticed they have similar noses/expression lines and I calculated the ages and ended up with this little comic.
Inspiration for his birth island comes from Elegia from One piece movie Red;
Elegia: a type of poem of mourning Ekphrasis: a type of poem that describes art pieces.
#one piece#mr 3 galdino#miss golden week#giolla#this is more for rp BUUUT since it ended up looking so nice..

Stripping into Dangerous Situations Chp.9 AlphaDoffyxOmegaOC
Summary: Your secret job as a stripper, while your real job pays you barely nothing. Throw in a mix of secret side hustles, and the Devil soon takes interest in you. But be careful, as all things come with strings attached. Throwing a huge wrench in you life, and the Devil comes in to make an offer you want to refuse. But how delicous is the offer the Devil is making? Will you take the deal?
Story Plot, Eventual Smut as Story progresses (none at the moment to build up to), 18+ due to mention of drugs, violence, stripping, abuse, and posioning. Alpha/Omega verse in Modern One Piece tale, bit of a twist on my end. Animal ears and tail, no human ears.
Also on AO3 and Fanfiction.net, same name here for my accounts I post at.
T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T
I rewrote it like three times and just said screw it, this is the best I can do. Again, I donât watch talk shows, so I donât know what goes on even trying to look up some videos. But I do hope you enjoy the rest of the story and certain special someone at the end showing up.
Enjoy!
T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T
Monday soon rolled around as I sat in the back room waiting for my turn to go onto the show. I was in the dress I picked out while shopping with Perona (Last Chapter Description) while doing my hair up nice in elegant curls with part of my hair with a black lace bow in the back. My black peep toe heels were on with my charm bracelet and single chain necklace with a single diamond drop at the end as the pearls werenât pulling the look I wanted. I sat on the couch watching the show as it was airing when a guy with a headset walked in.
âMiss Sinclair, you are up next. Please follow me,â he motioned for me to follow as I got up.
We walked backstage passing several people working behind the scenes before I stopped before the set as a woman helped hook up a small microphone to my outfit.
âAlright Miss Sinclair,â the man who came to get me whispered to me while looking at a clipboard. âYou will enter the stage through here and sit on the first seat closest to Jimmyâs desk after his intro of you, and then question you.â
âSounds good,â I whispered back.
I looked at the television flat screen as Jimmy was sitting behind his desk getting his makeup touched up as his black Labrador dog ears were up though I wasnât able to see his tail from behind the desk in his grey navy suit. The make-up artist left as the show was coming back from the commercial.
Jimmy fixed his papers on his desk before looking up to the camera with a smile, âWelcome back folks as our next guest is special on tonightâs show, who won against her ex-boss during the trial that not only exposed abuse with the company but what she did to herself to take care of her family. Everyone please welcome Miss Bunny Sinclair!â
Jimmy announced me as the audience cheers as I walked on stage waving shyly as I walked over to Jimmy shaking his hand before sitting down with my legs crossed, âThank you Jimmy, it is a pleasure to meet you.â
âNonsense it more of an honor to meet you Miss Sinclair or due you prefer Bunny?â Jimmy asked.
âYou can call me Bunny,â I replied with a soft closed smile.
Jimmy sat forward, âI do have to say Bunny, I was absolutely appalled how your ex-boss treated you. There are laws protecting Omegaâs as you know I have two kids who are Omegaâs, but what you did to provide for your only family member you have alive. That was shocking and so brave.â
âI wouldnât say brave as I poisoned myself, I never knew what would happen,â I turned to the crowd. âPlease donât do what I did, I damaged my body probably for the rest of my life.â
I looked back as Jimmy as he spoke, âHave you been with your doctor about the situation?â
âI spoke with him, but there havenât been any side effects so far. If anything starts to feel weird within my body to let him know. My scent glands still arenât producing a scent, and I havenât had a heat in two years. I blame Enel for treatment, but I am happy I won thew trial as the abuse he and many other employees that were there.â
âYes, but you did help some people like the that security gentlemen,â Jimmy smiled as he pointed that out about Daniel.
âYes, I help did Daniel but there were another male and female Omegaâs I was able to help find jobs after they also had abuse from Enel and others. I just hope they are doing okay since we havenât spoken in a long time.â âSeriously Bunny, you have a big heart, and I actually did some digging,â Jimmy spoke, leaning to the other side of his desk.
âOh boy, Iâm worried about that.â
The crowd laughed as Jimmy did pulling up a picture, âNo, this is the good type of digging.â He pulled up a picture showing my mother on a cover that used to be on one of her music CDâs. âBunny, I didnât know that your mother was renowned violinist Ordelia Sinclair, God Bless her Soul and your fathers.â
âThank you, and yes, she is a renowned violinist having played many shows around the world and at Madison Square Garden. Even when I was young, she taught me how to play as I wanted to be like her, I miss her,â I looked at the picture longingly as the crowd let out a sympathetic âAweâ.
âI actually saw her perform with my family and it was amazing, your mother had some serious talent, Bunny. She was amazing, Bunny, can you play something for me?â I looked at Jimmy shocked pointing at myself, âWait, you want me to play?â
âYeah! After everything from the trial and hearing you play, then finding out your mother was Ordelia Sinclair. I would love to hear you play. You are an incredible person standing up to your abusive ex-boss, taking care of your family after the passing of your parents, and striving through everything. I bet you are just as amazing as your mother, please will you play?â Jimmy boasted to look like he was begging me.
âSHE IS AMAZING!â I groaned covering my face as I heard Perona yell from the crowd as I brought her since she begged me to bring her making me feel embarrassed.
âWho was that?â Jimmy asked, looking confused.
âThat was my friend Perona, she was my dorm mate from college and been best friends with me since college. She helped do my hair for tonight,â I replied.
âBUNNY CAN PLAY! SHE EVEN WRITES HER OWN MUSIC!â I covered my face embraced leaning forward.
âPerona!â I exclaimed sitting up glaring at the direction she was in.
âWoah hold the brakes she just trying to help, but is it true? DO you write your own music,â Jimmy asked trying to calm the situation as he could tell I was embarrassed by my friend.
I sighed nodding, âYes, I used to write a lot during college and some during my time at Enelâs company when I am home. I may have a masterâs in finance, accounting, and business but I also had a fulltime scholarship for Music playing First Chair as Violinist.â
âPlease play something you wrote; Oh I would love to hear you play! Right, everyone!â Jimmy turned to the crowd who cheered wanting to hear me play which I was shocked to hear them wanting me to play something.
âOkay, okay I will play.â
âYES!â Jimmy stood up as I got up with him as someone handed him a violin and bow then to me.
I tried out the violin but realized it needed to be toned, âOne sec the strings are off.â
âWhat dong are you going to play?â Jimmy asked as I fixed the the strings.
âWell, I donât remember my music I wrote as it has been some time, but I am going ot play one of my favorite pieces by Paganini which is Caprice no. 5,â I replied.
âWasnât Paganini the Devils Violinist?â Jimmy asked.
âYes, but he made amazing violin pieces I adored playing when I was young while learning. This piece is fast when playing, but I enjoy it as when I am angry, I usually pay some of his faster pieces to let out some frustration,â I replied as I placed the violin under my chin as I stood in my violin position before I began to play.
The moment I began to play, a calm washed over me as I always felt the thrill of playing as the emotions of the music flowed through me. I often get lost within the music as I played, eyes closed as I imagine my mother and father watching as they have done in the past at recitals, or at home. It made me feel so close to them as music was something my family loved the most, and always enjoyed listening to classical music and several other genres. We often went to see ballets, musicals on Broadway, and even watching old movies with singing. Even when I went to college, I wanted to be able to take care of my family as I knew being famous may not last as my mother pulled away or rather wasnât getting jobs for concerts. I wanted something stable, but still be able to create music on the side with her. Before those depressing emotions began to take a hold on me, I finished the piece by lowing my bow and violin I was given.
Immediately I was shocked by the applause and cheer I had gotten from the crowd, and the whole staff with Jimmy clapping and many in almost tears. It touched me as I had to hold back the tears of my own from such praise, but to hear people enjoy the music I played.
âThat was amazing! Oh, my gawd that was incredible! You have some serious talent Bunny, thank you for playing for us!â Jimmy praised as I smiled as he went for a hug as I returned. âBunny Sinclair everyone!â
I turned to everyone smiling softly as I gave a soft wave as Jimmy thanked everyone here as the show was over. But this night seemed to change for me.
T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T
After the Jimmy Fallon show, I had started to get calls from other talk shows like the View, the Drew Berry Show, and several others talking about the trial, my family, and what I going to do now. I was still going to stay at the Club to manage the books but having a serious talk with Mama I decided to finally leave the club. They threw me a Farewell party which was filled with laughter and meaningful farewell tears. Mama would make sure Lawrence would pay back the money he still owes me. They were family to me for so many years, but now even with leaving they all were proud of me with all I was doing and achieving. Days rolled by as I was also getting calls not just from talk shows, but also asking if I could model for some magazines with articles about everything and how I have been trying to recover after poisoning myself with my recovery.
Since the trial nearly over a month ago, the side effects of my body have been very mild. Having some headaches, only had two nosebleeds when I was exercising when lifting weights, and on a jog. I still havenât gotten my period as I have been talking with Marco with any side effects that have started to appear. I do feel like I am having cramps but nothing of the result of me having my period. We did another round of blood tests, that some levels of my body were only a few points high but everything else was stable from what Marco said when going over the tests with me. So, for now, I have a journal at home as I have been keeping with any effects I have been having, what I have been eating, and keeping track of taking care of my body.
Even with all the calls I have been getting, getting paid from advertisements from people I have worked with, I was making a good amount of money. Perona has also helped me set up a part of my living room where she taught me how to record as I post on TikTok, and on YouTube of me playing songs on my violin from what I wrote, songs I love, and even songs from Paganini which as gotten a string of people following my videos and supporting me.
Currently, Perona and I were walking in the park heading towards a food cart for a treat as we were taking a break from her shop. I have been helping Perona at her shop, still helping manage her ledgers, but also helping her with her soon Winter collection about to come in. The cool crips air was lowering as Fall was beginning to come as the leaves on the trees were starting to turn multiple shades of yellow, red, and brown. I myself was wearing a knitted white sweater with a pair of dark jeggings with some thick heelâs ankle boots with a zipper on the inside with laces in the front. My hair pulled into a ponytail and my glasses on my face as I wasnât in the mood to wear my contacts. Perona was in one of her cute gothic Lolita outfits with a black lace umbrella she was holding to shield her from the sun.
As we were walking and talking, something caught my attention as it was a shock to see, âSugar?â
There sitting on the ground by the large fountain crying was Sugar from Doflamingoâs family in a school uniform with a small red cape on and school backpack. Her cute little teal cat ears were bent back as her hood was off, and her little small teal act tail wrapped around her leg. She looked up from hearing her name before rushing to me hugging my legs tight crying.
âWAAAAHHHH! BUNNY!â she exclaimed, balling her eyes out freaking me out.
âWoah, woah Sugar what is going on? Why arenât you in school?â I pulled her from my legs asking greatly concerned as I crouched down as she wiped her eyes, but tears still kept coming out.
âI hate school! Everyone is so mean, and Dellinger was picking on me because I havenât presented yet!â Sugar cried, explaining what was going on. âNo one wants to listen to me; everyone scowls at me! I hate it! I hate Dellinger! I hate school! WAHHHH!â
âOh Sugar,â I hugged her as she cried her eyes out. I may not like Doflamingo with his illegal dealings, but hearing her cry about what was happening couldnât make me hate her. She is just a small child, not presented, and being bullied. Even today, kids can be so cruel when picking on someone weaker than themselves.
âBunny, do you know this kid?â Perona bent at her waist asking confused.
I pulled away from Sugar looking up at Perona, âThis is Sugar, she is a part of Doflamingoâs Family.â
âWhat?!â her dramatic gasped with her hand in front of her mouth.
I turned from Peronaâs shock to Sugar as she used her cape to rub her nose on as it was running from crying.
âSugar, did you run away from school?â She nodded as I sighed. Dropping my head, knowing that Iâm going to have to deal with âHIMâ even after having a good month of not hearing, seeing, or any of his family members stalking me from a distance. Lifting my head, âSugar do you have a cell phone on you to call your family?â
Sugar dug into her pocket as she dug out her phone which was the latest model handed it to me which I took. Standing up, I tried to turn the phone on, but it was dead. Damn, Iâm going to need to charge this. Looking at Sugar as much as I didnât want to deal with Doflamingo, I couldnât leave her here. She could get taken or worst by one of Doflamingoâs enemies which he probably has.
âSugar,â she looked up at me with teary eyes while I bent down to her again. âSince the phone is dead, how about you come with me and my friend Perona. We were on our way to getting something sweet to drink before heading back to her shop. I canât leave you here alone, so why donât we go get something sweet to help calm you down. Then, once the phone is charge, I will talk with your family to let them know you are safe. Does that sound okay?â
She looked down sad, âTheyâre going to be upset with me.â
âThat may be true, but I will let them know what has happened to make you feel like you had to run away. They must be worried about you, but for now lets get you some ice cream and then maybe you can play dress up with Perona.â She seemed happy when I said that, âReally?â
âYes!â Perona stepped up grinning showing off her outfit which Sugar has stars in her eyes looking at Peronaâs outfit. âI own my own Boutique and we can try on some of the cloths! I have a lot of cutesy items you might likeâ
âReally! Thatâs awesome!â Sugar jumped up and down now happy which I smiled at.
Standing up, I held out my hand to her which she took. âDonât worry Sugar, perona has some really good stuff you may like. Come, lets go get some ice cream.â âYAY!â Both of them cheered as I couldnât help but shake my head laughing at them.

.
.
It had been an hour since we came back to the shop, Perona immediately began to distract Sugar while I went looking for a charging cord to charge Sugars phone. I was in the back office to see that the phone was now halfway charged so I decided to turn it on. Sugar gave me the passcode so once it was on, a flurry of messages and missed calls began to blow up on the phone. Oh boy, this is going to be a nightmare for me -sighs-.
Before I could even get the contacts, the phone began to ring with Giollaâs name popping up with a picture of her. I grimaced at the sight as it was hurt dressed like a mermaid, obviously she put this image in the phone. Swiping right, I put the phone in my ear before removing it quickly.
âWHERE ON EARTH ARE YOU SUGAR?! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW WORRIED WE ARE!â Giolla yelled from the other side making my ears ring.
Pulling the phone back I spoke annoyed, âStop yelling she is fine Giolla.â
There was a pause before, âBUNNY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH SUGAR? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HER?â Pulling away again I growled at the phone getting irritated by her before I could hear her talking with Doflamingo as he was demanding the phone from her.
âBunny?â I put the phone back to my ear to hear his voice.
âYeah, itâs me. Sugar is fine, I have her. I found her in the park crying,â I told him flipping through a magazine Perona had on her desk.
âI see, thank you so much for finding her. Her school called Giolla when she ran off during recess,â Doflamingoâs tone was calm though I could almost feel he was smiling on the other end.
âYou might want to talk with Dellinger, and the school staff,â I retorted.
âWhy is that?â Doflamingo asked curious.
âSugar said that Dellinger was bullying her with some of his friends about her not presenting,â I replied.
âDid he now?â I could hear the tone shift in his voice, almost like he was glaring at a certain someone I mentioned.
I continued, âAlso Sugar having gone to the staff but pushed her away stating they are on lunch and deal with it herself. On top of that, Sugar states that no one in her family listens to her, and that is why she ran away. Your lucky I found her, and not one of your enemies you have.â âYes, and I thank you personally for finding her. We had gotten word from her school when they couldnât find her. It has been nearly three hours, why hadnât you called me sooner?â he questioned, I feel like his head titled with his tone.
âHer phone was dead, and needed to charge before I could do anything to contact you with her phone,â I replied dryly, leaning back in the chair.
âI see,â I could hear in the background that it sounded like he was opening a door and closing it with Giolla screaming in the background about Sugar, and myself. âWell my dear bunny, where are you so we can pick Sugar up?â âIâm at Peronaâs shop on 35th on Lexington, Perona is keeping Sugar busy with playing dress up with some of the designs Perona made for her store.â âAlright we will be over shortly,â I heard him say before I hung up on him. Tossing the phone onto the desk I covered my face groaning. Oh, this is going to suck!
.
.
.

.
.
Time passed before I heard the door slam open from the back office as I heard Giolla yell for Sugar. Rolling my eyes, I put my pencil behind my ear as I got up to head to the front, coming into view of the front of the shop as Giolla was crying while hugging Sugar in a cute outfit by Peronaâs picking like a cute little Lolita kitten in pink and white with her cape. Doflamingo was in his famous large, feathered coat while dressed in a slick black business suit with a maroon button up shirt, and black tie. Behind him was Trebol, Diamante, and Dellinger who was pouting who seemed to have had gotten a scowling.
âDo you have any idea how worried we were about you running away?!â I watched as Giolla was shouting at Sugar who looked like she was about to cry.
âHey!â Everyone looked at me when I shouted as I was angry. I walked over pulled Sugar to me who hugged my legs hiding behind me. âListen here Giolla you have no right to yell at her when Dellinger was bullying her along with his friends!â I snapped at her as she held her hand to her chest gasping in shock to be actually yelled at.
Her face grew angry pointing her finger at me, âDonât you yell at me little hussy!â
I slapped her hand away gaining another gasp from her.
âI am no hussy Giolla no should you treat a child like this especially with what she has told me about you and your family in the way you treat her. She is a young six-year-old who may have not presented, but it doesnât give you the right to shout,â I glared hard at her while she looked stunned to see someone actually stand up to her.
I was ignoring Doflamingo, turning to laugh as he would fine this amusing to him.
I looked at Doflamingo who was straining to keep his grin from widening, âDonât laugh you prick, as the Head of your Family you should be acting worried that she wasnât captured by your enemies, and that I was the one to find her.â He nodded stepping towards me bent at the waist a little to my height, âOf course I was worried as we all are Bunny.â âYou donât look like you are so wipe that grin off your face,â he faked a pout before standing up straight with his hands in his pocket.
âHow dare you-â I sent a glare to Giolla who froze from my glare I sent.
âI will speak however I want Giolla, and from what I hear your at home skills are lacking with children seeing how Sugar and Dellinger constantly fight while brushing them off. I have every right to call Social Services-â
âWhat!â Giolla screeched; my ear went back from her voice hurting my ears.
âOkay I think that is enough,â Doflamingo stepped in front of me with his back to me. âGiolla, we are all worried about Sugar, but for now letâs be happy she is safe, thank Bunny for finding her.â âWhat?! But she-â A growl came from Doflamingo as a warning that shut Giolla up before turning to me with a wicked smile on his face while I looked up at him annoyed. âBunny my dear,-â
âDonât âmy dearâ me Doflamingo, I saved your ass from a serious scandal of your missing family member that if anyone knew who she was, could have been in a lot of danger,â I pointed at him.
He placed his hand over his chest, âAnd I thank you personally Bunny, how can I make it up to you for finding our little Sugar?â
His grin was up but tight, he really doesnât like owing favors. I smirked up at him while his seemed to lower.
âYou can pay for whatever Sugar picks out in this shop,â I grinned with my hands on my hips.
âReally?!â Sugar jumped from behind me with stars in her eyes.
âYe!â I smiled sweetly at her before grinning like the devil before me. âI can tell you donât like owing people so whatever she wants youâre paying. Cash only.â
Doflamingo stood straight head tilted to the side thinking.
âAlright.â
âYAY!â What?!â I chuckled seeing Sugar jumping up happy while Giolla was shocked.
âWhatever she picks, its what we owe Bunny for finding her so not another word,â Doflamingo tone was dark as Giolla folded her arms upset but walked away while Sugar was talking to Perona happily who was giggling with her.
âBunny,â I looked at Doflamingo. âMay we talk in private; I have something I wish to discuss with you?â âFine, oh and Perona,â I called out to Perona who perked up from voice. I smirked at her, âLet her see the Winter Collection.â She grinned back before saluting me, âCan do!â
I grinned up at Doflamingo, âFollow me.â
I went to the back room as I could hear him behind me grumbling with all the fabric everywhere in multiple piles, and unorganized. I pushed the door open as I walked into the office which was small space enough with a small folding chair while I sat down in the old rolling chair leaning back. Watching Doflamingo lower himself to enter the room before looking around not liking what he sees.
âThis is an office?â he questioned before adjusting his suit as he sat down.
âNot everyone can have expensive offices Doflamingo, now what do you want from me?â I folded my arms on top of the desk.
Doflamingo reached into his inner suit pocket to pull out a folded packet of papers to hand it to me which I took. âI am offering you a contract to work with me at my company, this is contract.
My mouth opened like I was looking at a crazy person, âIâm sorry, what.â
Doflamingo pointed at the papers in my hand, âThat is a special contract I drew up as I want to hire you.â
I stared at him for several moments before throwing my head back laughing, literally holding my sides laughing.
âIt isnât a joke my dear,â Doflamingo grunted out only to jump in his chair when I slammed my hand down on the desk.
âNo, I donât think you get it,â I pointed my coffin manicure nail at him painted black with a silver tip. âWhy in the seven levels of hell do you think I will ever want to work for you?â
I picked my vape up inhaling it hard as I left out a large puff of smoke.
âSmoking isnât good for you Bunny.â
âI say the same thing to you about selling illegal drugs and goods Doflamingo,â I sneered.
âI donât just sell illegal goods Bunny; I sell fashion, jewelry, art, and many other things,â Doflamingo responded waving his hand to get the smoke away from him.
âEither way, this history between us isnât good, nor do I want part of your family,â I retorted leaning back while his grin appeared.
âAnd what if it was good? Would you accept my offer then if you hadnât figure out who I was?â He slyly spoke almost intrigued.
âBy what if you meant it was good? Come into the club, favor me with gifts like some cheap hooker, be my Sugar Daddy? Is that what youâre implying?â I glared at him only to see his grin widen.
âIf you wanted to be my Sugar baby then yes, but digging down into the information I have about you since you figured out who I am. I wanted to try the business approach with you, I mean you did say it live you are a âBusinesswomanâ after all,â he was referring when I was on the View when I was asked about how I handle things such as my money and Peronaâs shop.
âCanât be surprised youâre a fan and have been stalking me on everything I have been doing,â I grunted hitting my vape again.
âOh, but I loved the talk shows you had been on, and what you have been doing on TikTok. You play beautifully,â I rolled my eyes at him as he was trying to woo me with praise.
âGet to the point or leave,â I snipped at him.
âFine,â he shifted in his chair grin dropping getting a frown on his face.
âI want you.â âI donât.â
âCan I finish?â his voice getting deep while restraining his tone while getting upset.
âFine,â I slumped back in my chair folding my arms under my chest.
His jaw shifted while folding his hands together over his crossed knee, âYou have serious skills I want to use for my company. Not only knowing how to doctor documents which I know you can, but also I need someone managing my accounts as Giolla has been busy with raising the kids-â
âTerribly.â I inserted under my breath. I could see his hands tense but didnât say anything only to continue his speech, âI want you to take the position as the Chief Financial Officer in my many companies I own. That contract has everything lined up from pay to benefits, and more.â
I pressed my lips together staring at him before opening up the right drawer digging in it until I pulled out a red permanent marker while grabbing the contract.
âWhat is that?â âItâs a red permanent marker, I am going to use it while I read through this contract, and if I find anything I donât like I am going to cross it out,â I bit the top of the marker before spitting it onto the desk. âUh,â he was stunned for words as I held my finger up at him to silence him.
âQuiet, Iâm reading,â I didnât look at him as I began to read.
I could hear a small grumble from him which I lips going up in a smirk as I Â know my actions were irritating him. Alright, letâs see what we got here. Blah blah, legal details of my involvement yeah thatâs gonna be a no. Mark that off, moving down. I read through the first page flipping it over. Really? That may be a lot but that is gonna be marked off with writing a comment. Onto the next, yada yada benefits involving so and so. Nope, mark on that with the sharpie. Mark that, next page. HA! Yeah right, marking that with a comment I know he isnât going to like. Moving pass this to the next page after a few more marks. I read through the rest of the pages before tossing him the contract which he caught much to his surprise and displeasure.
âHard pass, that contract is all you, and even with the pay, benefits that contract is more for you than me. Thanks for the offer, but I decline,â I picked up the cap putting it back on the sharpie.
âBunny, I only give one contract,â his frown was deep as I can hear the displeasure in his voice.
I smiled wickedly sweet with his chin resting on my fingers with my elbows on the desk, âTo bad, no thanks. Have a nice day.â
âBunny, have I not been decent enough with you as well as allowing you to get away with insulting me, but I am literally offering you a deal I will not make with anyone else. You are the only person I want for the job,â he argued keeping his voice level though deeply irritated by my decision.
âYour contract favors mostly you, and frankly with all that you do I want no part in it. If I ever sign a contract, you wonât be able to afford me. Not only that, I will not be your scapegoat in anything so again I am going to pass,â I argued back.
âThen what can I do to get you to sign with me, your skills are being wasted here,â he said looking around judging everything around him.
âTake your glasses off.â
I could tell his eyebrows went up as his ears went straight back, his frown deepened.
âWhat?â
I smirked tapping my index finger on my left lens of my own glasses, âTake. Your. Glasses. Off. Or are you afraid to show whatâs behind that left lens.â
Doflamingo sat there in silence before I saw Giolla coming into the doorâs view, âYoung Master we are- âbefore Giolla could finish her sentence, Doflamingo reached out quickly grabbing the door before slamming it in her face. âOkay, we will wait in the car.â I heard her say from behind the door as my smile grew into a wicked grin.
âI donât know what youâre talking about,â I snickered at his remark. He was definitely restraining himself as I can see the veins in his neck and forehead appear pulsating.
âReally? You want to play that card how funny when your-â
I backed away quickly when Doflamingo went to reach for me only to growl as his face was furious while I was still giggling at him with great pleasure to see him like this.
âWatch your words Bunny-â
âOr what?â I shook my head snarky at him. âThreaten me? Torture me? Beat me? Or what Doflamingo? You afraid for people to know that your-â
âSILENCE!â he bellowed, his teeth clenched tight and bared at me his fist slamming down hard in the desk which shook under his fist.
I stared up at him unimpressed as I was now pissed, âYou are just like Enel with your temper.â âI am nothing like that lowlife Bunny,â he leaned down gripping each side of the desk which he towered over.
âYou are,â I stood up making him stand up straight with his ears literally almost touching the ceiling as I stared up at him. âEnel was demanding, rude, and thinking he can get anything he wants just because he was an Alpha. Just like you are, which is why I will never sign with you because you remind me of him. Signing with you will be signing with another Devil, a much fouler devil who will sacrifice anyone just to save his and his families ass from the government.â
His jaw shifted with his lip sneered up displeased as he picked up the contract that fell on the floor stuffing it back into his suit.
âThis isnât the end Bunny, I will not stop chasing you till I have you,â he spoke with a dark promise before opening the door storming off.
Slumping down in my chair I dropped my head to the desk, fuck me! Why does he have to be so relenting?! He never stops, and frankly I wish I never had met him that night. He may have looked appealing back then, fun to toy with, but with all that I know I canât help but hate him. Everything he stands for is what I see as nothing but trouble for myself along with anyone I meet or know. He also knows that if he does anything, I can trace it back to him which could be a problem for him too which he isnât going to risk all that he has. Sitting up I ran my hand through my hair leaning back in the chair exhausted from dealing with him. His obsession with me is never going away, that I can tell. I have to be the only woman to say ânoâ to him, let alone insult him to his face. He seriously has some screws loose, at least Sugar got something out of this. Sweet as she is, I still feel bad about her, I was bullied when I was young too until I presented. Though even as an Omega, being picked on and got to my parents moved me to a different school Pops owned. Hopefully, they wonât be too hard on Sugar.
T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T
Doflamingo slammed the door shut to the limo hard making everyone jump as he growled furiously to Lao, âDrive.â
No one said anything as they were wide eyed and scared not seeing the Young Master so furious. His jaw clenched tight as his elbow on the door handle with his fist closed over his lips, ears folded back dangerously low, and his tail flicking up and down aggressively.
âHow dare she say that! There is no way she knows!â Doflamingo thought, his mind violently racing on whenever she could have found out about his secret that only his most intimate family knows about.
Even throwing the contract back at him was nothing more than an insult when he spent his own personal time typing it up than Senior Pink. That contract was more than enough than what he has ever offered to anyone! The pay alone was twice that of most of his other employees, let alone half of his family would get some of the sales they make, let alone from the drug money they pull in. His fingers pressed to his forehead as he glared through his glasses at the world passing while inside of the car.
âYoung Master?â Lao spoke up calmly from the front.
âWhat!â Doflamingo hissed making everyone tense besides Lao.
âAre you still meeting with âhimâ or shall I cancel?â Lao asked, which caused Doffy to curse under his breath.
âDamn, I forgot about that,â Doffy thought, before shaking his head.
âNo, drop me off, I canât cancel that meeting,â Doffy snipped as Lao nodded turning down a street.

Sitting at a table on the balcony of a rich restaurant overlooking the city sat Doflamingo still pissed as he slammed back the whiskey in his glass waiting for a certain someone to show up. He was still pissed about Bunny turning him down that he asked for whiskey than his usual expensive wine he enjoys needing something stronger to drink.
âGeez, you look pissed,â looking up Doflamingo stared at the man who spoke taking out the chair across from him to sit down was none other than his younger brother Rosinante. He was dressed in a simple black business suit with none of his make-up on his face as the restaurant doesnât allow it. His hair was down like it was barely brushed from under his hat he usually wears with a frown on his face. His matching blonde cat ears like his brothers was slopped down with his tail matching in color. His reddish-brown eyes stared at his brother looked displeased to be meeting his brother even after shooting him years ago, then even letting him live with only a promise of meeting once a month as long as Rosinante stayed away from Doffyâs dirty business with not crossing him ever again.
âSo, what if I am,â Doffy flagged down the waiter as he refilled the glass before leaving after getting Rosiâs drink order. Doflamingo pulled from his pocket tossing him an envelope filled with money which Rosinante took going through counting it.
âUsually, your mood is much better when youâve been mentioning that Bunnyâs womans name,â Rosinante spoke, placing the envelope in his own suit pocket to see his brotherâs teeth clench. Rosinante chuckled as his lips turned up as he was amused to see his brother acting the way he was, âSo it is about her. What she do now to have you veins pulsing out?â
âShe did this,â Doffy hissed taking the contract out tossing it on the table. âShe refused to sign the contract, marking it up like some childâs coloring book.â
Rosinante picked up the contract looking over it, he looked impressed, âWow, she really did mark this up. Oh wow, thatâs funny.â
âIt isnât funny Rosinante,â Doffy growled at him.
âActually, it is,â Rosinante snickered as he flipped through the pages. âYouâre upset that someone actually denied you, and that someone you have been trying to pursue to join you who knows about your dirty dealings. You know your tricks are going to work on her, she seems way to smart and almost several steps ahead of you which pissed you off.â
Doffy slammed his fist on the table causing Rosi to jump in his seat, âIt isnât just that! She knows! She fucking found out, and I donât know how she knows. She even demanded I do âthatâ just to get her to sign with me.â
Rosinante folded the contract placing it back on the table before him, âAnd what would âthatâ you are referring too?â
Rosinante watched as his brothersâ teeth clenched with his fist around the glass in his hand which almost seemed to crack under his grip. âShe said to take my glasses off, she knows whatâs behind the left lens.â
Rosinante eyes widened in shock as his mouth dropped open. Rosinante is the only one outside of Doffyâs new family who knows what his brother is hiding behind his signature glasses. Something he has been hiding since when they were just kids from that certain time of events that changed everything for them both. An event Doflamingo hates talking about, let alone wanting to revisit. For Bunny to find out on her own is seriously big, let alone demand for Doffy to remove is glasses just to join his company.
âHoly fuck,â Rosi mutter as he put his hand over his mouth hiding his smile from his brother. Rosinante couldnât help but find it funny to see this situation come up, it was hilarious to see his brother so irritated over the matter.
âBunny has the skills I want let alone make her Chief partner with the company, I even gave her serious benefits other employees donât even have!â Doffy slammed his glass down hard on the table making the contents on it shake.
âHave you even read the contract with her comments on it?â Rosi asked, while Doflamingo snatched the contract on the table.
âYes, I have, and it is appalling. She even stated I was just like Enel! I am nothing like that idiot, she dare compare me to him stating I am overbaring Alpha who gets whatever I want through force,â Doffy complained, Rosi rolled his eyes.
âYou do âdoâ that Doffy, even when we were kids you got whatever you wanted, and growing up like we did. You took things from others using whatever methods you deemed fit just so you can have whatever you wanted, and youâre doing it now with Bunny,â Rosinante pointed out as Doffy glared at him which didnât phase the younger brother. âBunny understands and seeâs the same thing Enel did to her with you. No matter if you helped her at court, which Iâm shocked you even did to this day. Bunny isnât going to sign with you by you forcing her or threatening her. Iâve seen her on television shows, she is a business woman, but she is far smarter with dealing with you with extreme caution. She doesnât trust you; she doesnât trust what you do, what your company does, what drugs you sell, there is just no trust at all.â
âSo, what youâre saying I need to get her to trust me?â Doffy grumbled slumping in his chair.
Rosinante shook his head, âI doubt she ever will trust you Doffy, but forcing her isnât the way to go either. She dealt with that with Enel, and acting like him even though you arenât him-âRosi had to put his hands up fast before his brother could go after his with his teeth bared growling. âMy advice is that you revisit the contract, and slowly try to get on her good side. Which means you actually have to get to know her, not by using Senior Pink to look up everything about her. Not everything is going to be in simply looking into someone background, and I canât believe I am saying this.â Rosinante exhaled through his nose, âActually show some real empathy with her.â
Doflamingo shifted his lower jaw looking away from his brother as he is not the person to show any type of âempathyâ to anyone besides his family, but even then, still masks his emotions around. He doesnât like showing real happy emotion unless it was getting his way and making others miserable with his deals. Doflamingo wasnât lying when he had interest in Bunny, even thinking back maybe it wouldnât have been all too bad if she was his Sugar Baby. He has had them in the past but dumped them once they got too attached. Even with gold diggers, he mostly used the women he was with for his own pleasure, but Bunny was different. She was so sly when he met her, even the second time was more exciting that she actually got such a reaction out him he hadnât had in a very long time. Bunny was defiant, coy, smart, and unafraid of him which many are even when he gets angry. She stands up to him knowing he canât do anything because she can easily blow the top on him to government officials chasing him down and causing him problems like Tsuru has been doing for years. Yet she doesnât, she holds the information in her back pocket like a golden ticket to get her or get out jail free card if he ever did anything.
Even her scent was intoxicating to Doffy. Each time she is around her scent fills his nose and sends chills down his body like a good taste of wine filling his gullet. Doflamingo couldnât understand why he was addicted to such a sweet smell; all he wanted to do was bury his face in her neck to devore everything that Bunny could ever have. Itâs becoming a strong obsession to get her to his side, and he was going to get her by his side no matter what. She was his, and Doflamingo gets what he wants.
âIâll think about what you said, but I make no promises Little Brother,â Doflamingo answered, his temper lessened from thinking about what his brother had told him.
Rosi shrugged, âYou barely keep any promise so donât do anything stupid or you might end up in jail. Now, Iâm ordering as I am hungry so call the waiter.â
Doflamingo waved to the waiter as the two ordered and did their once-a-month dinner together before not seeing each other till the next month.

They were two days at sea chasing the fleet that held Doflamingo, and they were having trouble gaining ground. There was time to intercept themâ it was no brief journey, but the weather hadn't been good and it delayed their ship more than it delayed the marines.
Sitting in the sparely stocked galley of the ship, Trebol leaned toward Violet in his chair. "Have you heard them talking about stopping at the G5 before continuing to Impel Down?"
Violetâs eyes were staring somewhere far, far away as she held her fingers to them. Despite their delays, the Marine ships were still within her rangeâŠa small blessing given the repeated setbacks.
âThereâs a debate about it among the admiral and his subordinates. Thereâs concerns of it being a security risk being weighed against the need for rations and supplies to cross back towards Impel Down.âÂ
He tapped his fingers on his knees, his mouth a thin line as he concentrated. "If they are going to stopâ which seems likelyâ we'll cut time if we adjust our course before they do. But if we do so and they head straight for Mary GeoiseâŠ."
âThen theyâll be able to slip past while we waste precious time trying to get through Fishman Island.â Violet lowered her fingers to look him in the eyes with a pensive frown.
The odds of them catching up if the Marines took their easy high road through Mary Geoise were low. They had too many shortcuts that were now very much unavailable to her now that the outcry had risen in her homeland as yet another of their princesses went âmissingâ.
Sneaking through Mary Geoise would be a suicide mission. âItâs a gamble, Tre.âÂ
"Not one I'm looking forward to putting my chips down on, I'm afraid," he drawled, nervously adjusting the lapels of his heavy coat. "But any decision is better than no decision with time at a premium. I'll get Vergo's opinion, and then we'll make our play."
âSounds good.â She nodded. âIâll be keeping an eye on the marines. If the stalemateâs broken in our favor, youâll be the first to know. They canât float in indecision forever.â
It was familiar, these sorts of back and forths. Trebol was a man who knew the strengths of her power and how to use them. During their days in Dressrosa, there were many times just like this where sheâd scry with her eyes and help the Donquixoteâs resident strategist conjure plans of attack and subterfuge.Â
Trebol was a man who knew how to assess and understand data, and collate it from many sources into a coherent structure. To say that he was the real power behind Doflamingo would not be strictly true, but to remove him would be like cutting out Doffy's remaining eye.
She was about to continue when the door slammed open to a high and cheerful voice sing-songing out through the galley.
âTre-tre~ Vi-Vi~~~â Derringer , the deadly fighting fish, cried out as he clacked his way into the room on spiked heels. âGuess whoâs got news!âÂ
Trebol raised his head, turning to give a questioning look to Derriger as he made his way into the galley. "I think the smart money's on you, Derringer, mmm?"
The effeminate young man placed his hand on his hip as he leaned forward with a sharp-toothed grin. âDing ding! You win!â
Violet leaned on her hand with a tilt of her head âwell? What did we win?â
âIn-for-ma-tion~ Something I bet you havenât even gotten yet, Violet!â he pointed âanother shipâs been sighted in the vicinity of the marine ship, barrelling down on Mary Geoise!âÂ
This got Trebol's attention, and he sat yet further forward in his chair, stroking his beard.
"Another ship? Do you have any details?"Â
This could certainly be good news or bad. But given how excited Derringer sounded, it probably at least wasn't another marine ship. Probably, anyway. Derringer was pretty excitable.
âThe news must not have filtered up to the Admiral yet,â Violet mused almost to herself.
âWell yeah, this is hot, breaking news.â Derringer giggled again. âif the reports from their scouts are to be believed, itâs the old alligatorâs ship!â
âAâŠâ Violaâs brow furrowed âAlligator? You donât mean..âÂ
"Sir Crocodile?" Trebol's pince-nez slid down his nose and he pushed them back up. "You're not joking, are you?"
âAwww, you donât believe me?â Derringer pouted before pressing his hand up and into the golden locks of his hair. âGeeze, Tre, youâre so hard to please.â
Violet circled her fingers and activated her power again, peering in the direction of the marine ship as quick as she could. âSir Crocodile is headed to Mary Geoise? But why??âÂ
"I do believe you, Derringer, it's simply quite surprising news. And possibly in our favor," Trebol mused. "I can imagine only two reasons he'd appear to be heading to Mary Geoise."
Her vision projected outwardsâŠboth here in the room with them, and leagues away over the sea. âOne is to wage some sort of attackâŠ.and the other is to intercept the prison ship. Right Trebol?â
Derringer puffed his cheeks, something she was only dimly aware of. âSo did I do good?âÂ
"You did very good, Derringer," Trebol promised. He reached out and patted the young, flashy member of the family on the head. "Thank you."
Violet was only dimly aware of the interaction as her senses went elsewhere, to the deck of another ship.
Sir Crocodile looked pensive, checking and double checking an eternal pose. He looked up, and for a moment, before Violet adjusted her vision, it was like he was staring right at her.
But then she saw who he was really looking at. A rather beautiful looking man with sharp cheekbones and defined makeup.
"I don't ask you to walk back in there lightly, Bentham," Crocodile growled around his cigar. "But if we don't catch up to them in time, you're the back up plan."As she listened, she relayed the information to Trebol, her concentration otherwise locked on the scene far away.
âSir Crocodile is talking with someone named Bentham. He says if âwe canât catch up to them in timeâ that heâs the back up plan to break into somewhere.âÂ
Trebol stroked his beard, listening as she relayed the information.
"Croc, baby, darling, I'm not excited for another stroll into Impel Down, but if your Doffy is as impressive as his reputation, I can see why you'd want him at large instead of shut up by the government."âHeâs attempting to rescue Doffy,â Violetâs heart skipped a beat as her eyes widened and for a moment sent her vision on the deck out of focus before she snapped back into the scene between the former Warlord and the man. âIf he canât intercept the ship, heâs sending this Bentham guy into Impel Down to break him out.â
She heard Derringer whistle, impressed âI didnât know Alligator cared! Thatâs big news for us, right?âÂ
Trebol broke out into a toothy grin, and slapped his knee. "It's big news for us, yes. Fantastic news. We'll divert to G5 and cut them off thereâ and if they head straight for Mary Geoise then Crocodile can wrestle with them. I don't trust the man as far as I could throw him but it'll be easier to get Doffy back from him than from Impel Down if it comes to it."
Violet nodded firmly as she felt a grin spread across her own face. âAye aye. Weâll have our helmsman set course for G5! I have a feeling weâll win this gamble, Tre. A hunch.â
âOooh~â Derringer perked up. âScary! Will I get to kill some marines?âÂ
Trebol laughed.Â
"Perhaps you will. If not, I'm sure we can scrounge some up for you to play with in celebration. We're no longer bending the knee to the government after all." He turned his head to her. "You look almost as excited as Derringer, Vi."
Her vision snapped back to the here and now, and she turned to face him with lidded eyes and the grin she didnât even try to repress.Â
âCan you blame me, Trebol?âÂ
"Oh no, not at all," he purred with a rather smug smile. "I know you're just as eager as the rest of us."
She had the good grace to feel a little flustered about that, folding her hands under her chin and leaning on them with a wink. âyou know better than most how well I took to the life..Iââ
Suddenly she was rocked forward by the weight of Derringer as he tackle-hugged her from behind.Â
âAwwww! Vi-vi~ Youâre a natural born killer just like the rest of us! Of course youâre all excited by the smell of blood in the water!â It was punctuated by his tittering little giggle once again.Â
Trebol smiled slyly at the scene. "Always nice to see the family getting along so well. Nowâ let's get into action."
000
Baby 5âs talent for assassination and penchant for violence werenât useless on the current mission. Far from it, once they caught up to the bastards hauling Doffy away sheâd get her chance to blow them all right back to Mary Geoice in a bunch of tiny little pieces.
But that was when they arrived. So until then she had to make do with the skills that were useful. As good as she was at killing, she wasnât a half bad cook either. In fact, when it came to cooking and cleaning, she considered herself the best the Family had to frickinâ offer.
Sheâd taken the galley of the ship for her own, starting up a stew with the few supplies theyâd managed to haul onto the ship before their madcap flight out of Dressrosa. She didnât stop (she couldnât stop) putting her all into it if it meant giving the crew the strength they needed to save Doffy from the navyâs filthy hands.
She couldnât believe that they were actually doing it, chasing down the navy itself to save him after their world fell to pieces around them. Sheâd liked Dressrosa. It suited her temperament, even if Dofy kept killing anyone who tried sliding into her life with a request or marriage proposal. But all good things had to come to an end, right? Dressrosa went up in smoke for the Donquixote Pirates, stabbed in the back by two of their own. LawâŠLaw was not going to be forgiven any time soon.
Her brother, her peer, welcomed into the family right alongside her only to push her aside as if she meant nothing while he tore the young masterâs life to shreds.
And Violet. Violet who she had hated in the flaring moment of emotion when she turned her back on them for her jackass birth familyâ but who had come back despite her victory and offered to save them all.
When she thought about it, she found herself cutting vegetables even faster with her transformed arm.
"How small you planning to cut those, Baby 5?" a familiar voice drawled behind her.
âUntil they frickinâ disappear in the broth.â She grumbled sharply before looking over her shoulder, her dark hair fallen in her face. âhey Di.âÂ
He put his hand heavily on her shoulder, looking at her with a tense expression. "You look like you've been at that a while. I'm gonna need you to take a break with me, alright?"
âGhhhâŠâ She felt the old urge welling within her. Heâd made a pretty firm request after allâ itâd make him happy if she compliedâŠ
She shook her hand as it transformed back to its human state and sighed âalright, alrightâŠyou need me to, right?âÂ
He squeezed her shoulder. "I'm getting tired just looking at you chopping those veggies," he chuckled. "I need you to take a break."
It was like a lance through her. He needs me. He needs me to take a break so I donât overwork. She gripped the side of the counter before she turned and snapped a salute to him with a wide grin. âYou know Iâm always happy to help, Di! Iâll take a little break. The stew needs to simmer a while anyway!âÂ
He slapped her companionably on the back, and took out his cigarettes. "Good girl. Pull up a chair. Wanna share a smoke with me?"
âYouâre speaking my language!â She laughed as she kicked a chair over towards him, and went to grab one herself. âIâve been trying not to chain through mine too fast. Dunno how long weâre gonna be on the sea.âÂ
He grabbed the back of the chair as it spun toward him and stepped over it to sit down. "Probably smart. I got a bag of tobacco with me so I can roll em if we get desperate but," he shook his head. "I hope it ain't gonna be too long."
He pulled a cigarette out and offered it to her.
âMe neitherâŠâ She grabbed the cigarette and stuck it between her lips. It was one of her earliest vicesâŠand absolutely her favorite of the bunch.
âYou donât think itâll be too long till we catch up to Doffy, right?âÂ
"Doesn't look like it." He leaned forward and lit her up with a flick of his lighter. "Apparently, we've got some unexpected help. Well. More unexpected help."
âYouâre talking about Violet, right?â Baby 5 asked. âorâŠis there something else Iâm missing?âÂ
"Violet's unexpected help," he said. "But she's already accounted for. The more unexpected help is apparently Crocodile's coming after Doffy too."
Babyâs dark eyes widened as she took a puff of her cigarette. âyouâre shittinâ me! Sir Crocodile of the Warlords? Mr. âAlabastaâs Dark Heroâ? Heâs on his way to save Doffy??âÂ
Diamante grinned, cupping his hand around his own cigarette as he lit it. "Yep. Derringer caught it on the radio chatter, and Vi confirmed it."
She whistled low under her breath.Â
âOh thatâs useful to knowâŠheâs gonna be a big help if heâs really after the young masterâŠâ She rolled her cigarette between her fingers before she asked. âIs he hot? Sir Crocodile, I mean. Iâve seen the wanted poster and all butâŠâÂ
Diamante choked on his cigarette and pulled it out of his mouth, coughing into his hand. "Sir Crocodile? Is he hot? UhâŠ"
Baby 5 couldn't help but notice he'd gotten a bit red. Maybe it was all the coughing.
Her smile crept over her face. âSo thatâs a yes, right?âÂ
Di rubbed the back of his neck. "I mean, I wouldn't say he's exactly my type, but I guess he's pretty good looking, yeah."
Baby 5 took a long drag off her cigarette before she said. âGood to know. If he helps us save the young master, I might just see if he âneeds meâ for a night. As thanks.âÂ
"GlllhâŠ. Baby 5, you can't justâ" he dragged his hand down his face with exasperation for a moment before realization started to dawn. "You're just trying to work me up, aren't you?"
She laughed loudly as her hand slapped against the arm of the chair. âGotcha, Di!â She giggled with a broad grin, leaning on her hand. âworked, didnât it?âÂ
He waved his hand, grinning bashfully now. "Yeah, yeah it worked, it worked."
Baby 5 chuckled as she took a slow drag off her cigarette and tipped her chair back on its legs to look at the ceiling. âIâm just trying to have some fun. Itâs beenâŠitâs been emotional, hasnât it? Losing Dressrosa, losing the young masterâŠViolet betraying us and cominâ back.âÂ
"It's had its ups and downs, that's for sure," he rasped, shaking his head. "I sure didn't see⊠any of it. I guess it could have gone worse, but not by much."
âYou think sheâs really gonna stay with us?â Baby 5 asked, not caring that she could be listening in from anywhere. â...I donât think I could stand it if she left again.âÂ
He sighed, and took a puff off his cigarette. "Yeah, me neither. Don't think any of us could. There'd be bloodshed, one way or another."
The door creaked open, drawing Babyâs attention instantly as her reply froze on her lips âThere sure would be, but Iâll be real Iâm tiââ
Violet herself peeked her head in. â...I came to see what smelt so good now that Iâm out of my meeting with Tre.âÂ
"Hey Vi," Diamante nodded, toward her. He gestured toward Baby 5 with his cigarette. "Baby's cookin."
Baby 5 snorted softly as she tapped her cigarette over the edge of her chairâs arm. âright now Iâm resting, actually.â
Violet slipped inside, and Baby couldnât help but stare. Violet was one of her closest friends in the organization, right up there with Buffalo and Sugar. Sheâd shared great times and bad with the familyâŠBaby thought sheâd needed them as much as they needed her.
It stung when she seemed to prove them wrongâ she went crawling back to the Rikus, proving that maybe she never needed them at all.
The dancerâ the assassinâ .pulled up a chair and took a seat. âWhatever youâre doing, itâs making me hungry.â
"Me too," Diamante nodded. He glanced over Baby 5's way, perhaps recognizing her discomfort. "Haven't had a big family meal in a while, and probably can't have one now. But Baby's stews smells pretty good, eh?"
But she still came back, didnât she? She should have been walking on air, living that perfect princess life that people talked about even in the dregs of the world theyâd all grown up in. But when she came back to them she looked more miserable than everâŠand even genuinely relieved when she was welcomed back into the family.
It was enough to make Babyâs head spin.
âIt smells delicious.â Violet leaned on her hand with a smile, her intense eyes seeming to see right through Baby to her deepest thoughts. âI always did love your cooking, Baby. If weâve got you as the ship cook for this little adventure I donât need to worry.â
Baby smiled, almost timid with the praise, and rubbed the back of her neck âawwww, donât butter me up. Itâs just a stew. You could do it easy!â
âNot really.â Violet chuckled. â...I wasnât exactly taught.â
"Could always learn now, ya think?" Di offered, and Baby followed up on with a grin.
âCome on, Vi! Itâll be thanks for that time you taught me to dance.â
It was a good memory, one of the many sheâd had with her fellow assassin. Itâd been after one of the familyâs big celebratory parties, years ago now. It was the first time that Baby had seen Violet open up and smile, instead of curl ever further inwards during those early months with the family.
Violet shifted to watch her with a strange smile for a moment. âAs thanks, hm? Well how could I say no to that?âÂ
"Wouldn't be very polite to, now would it?" Di chuckled.
âAnd Iâve had enough being impolite to my family here,â Violet purred in her warm, low voice. âSo Baby 5âŠgive it your all. Iâm ready to learn.â
Baby blinked before she nearly tumbled out of her chair, catching herself on a large tripod that sprung from her elbow and straightening herself up with a lopsided grin. âI mean, hell yeah. Maybe if we can get another cook trained up I can get some of this ârestâ Trebol keeps harping on about!â
"Don't forget me, I'm harping on about it too." Diamante crossed his arms, grinning.
âW-well yeahâŠâ Baby poked her fingers together. âbut I wouldnât complain about it right in front of you, Di! I mean, you said you needed me, right? So why would I complain about it?â
Violet chuckled softly. âCan I join in to help? She does need to rest more. Thereâs only so much you can do in a day, right?âÂ
She got up, and leaned against the counter with an expectant tilt of her head.
"See, Baby 5? Vi agrees with me," Di nodded. "Why don't you show her what you need done and she can help you out."
âDamn you guys!â Baby 5 huffed before the grin broke through and she grabbed Violet by the arm âalright. So the first thing is to figure out whatcha gonna put in itâŠâ
000
The stew came out fineâ honestly, better than fine. It was fantastic with the guiding hand of Baby 5 and everyoneâs efforts. Together with Di and Baby, Violet had put the rest of the meal together over a conversation that never trailed back to betrayal, heartache, and the nightmare of Dressrosa.
Instead, they shared a meal, just like old times. A hearty and heavily spiced beef stew between them, and things almost seemed to be going back to normal. Violet had seen the turmoil in Baby 5âs mind when sheâd first walked inâŠthe hurt and anger of the last few days not quite simmered away, but mingled with the genuine joy to see her again.
A complicated opinion even more complicated by Baby 5âs volatile emotions. It was clear as they talked and ate that Baby was desperately looking for an âinâ for forgiveness. That she was hoping with all her heart that Violet could explain everything and once more be welcomed as a member of her family. The world had hurt Baby 5, leaving her eager to please and easily wounded by the loss of those she loved, and Violet regretted having twisted the knife back on the island.
By the time they were washing the bowls together, it seemed like sheâd found her inâ the turmoil quieted into Babyâs usual raucous laughter and big grin as she and Diamante flanked her on either side.
During that lull however, sheâd checked in on Admiral Fujitora and his crew with the reach of her powers. The stalemate had been broken, and the Admiral got his way. Their warship was headed towards Mary Geoise.
Sheâd excused herself quickly and made for Trebol deeper into the ship to alert him to the change in destination.Â
He found him in a small, more private section of the quarters area talking with Giolla. The woman, often known as "Auntie" or "Gigi" had escaped the fighting mostly unscathed, thankfully and Violet walked into a discussion about art.
Namely, Giolla talking about one of her old âmainstaysâ from back when the gang was still gaining strength and capital.
âOf course Iâll only do it so long as it takes for the young master to come up with a plan! You know I absolutely loathe realism, tre-tre! But for the family, of course Iâll produce as many fakes as you damn well need!âÂ
"You're a kindly soul, Giolla," Trebol chuckled roughly, shaking his head. "Your forgeries are masterworks reallyâ ahâ Violet?"
He turned his head, noticing as she approached.
Giolla glanced up at her, the light catching her cats-eye glasses. âOh my my, sweetheart! Iâd heard youâd come back to us, but didnât quite believe it until I saw it with my own eyes!â
The older woman had always treated her well , even in the early days of her time among the pirates. Her affable, gossipy demeanor and doting, motherly concern had almost made it feel normal in the days when she was still forcing down the part of herself that would later turn itâs back on her birth family.
Violet ducked her head with a sheepish smile. âHello Gigi. I know, itâs a miracle isnât it? But Iâm here, I promise.âÂ
"A real miracle," Trebol said with a thin smile. "Did you come just to join the gossip?"
âIn a manner of speaking.â Violet said as she took a seat nearby. âMay I? I know the woundâs still fresh.â
âAuntieâ Giolla waved her hand with a laugh, her freckled shoulders shaking as she grinned her broad and infectious smile. âEnough of that! You know Iâve always loved your gossip, Vi-vi.â
Derringer had absolutely picked up his love of cutesy nicknames from Giolla, Violet didnât even have to guess for that one.
âAdmiral Fujitoraâs managed to win the argument over the G-5 supply run. The Navy Warship is headed straight to Mary Geoise.âÂ
Trebol exhaled with tight frustration. "I was worried that would happen. Hang it all. Well. At least we have our backup plan, considering. Unless you have more bad news."
Giolla twisted a lock of her thick hair around her clever artistâs fingers, the sharp and painted tip sparkling in the light as she pursed her lips. âDid the big croccy have a change of heart?â
âNot as far as Iâm aware.â Violet shook her head, pressing her hand to her forehead with a weary smile. âI think weâre still on track there. We should point towards Mary GeoiseâŠif thereâs a chance we can catch up, we should take it.âÂ
"Indeed." Trebol nodded, grumbling and clearing his throat. "We'll change course immediately, then. If nothing else, we'll want to catch up to Crocodile after he catches up with them. I'll have to see if we have any way of contacting him in the meantimeâŠ"
âOh, if only I knew the code to his transponder snail!â Giolla bemoaned. âyou know, Iâve heard a little of his exploits recently! Did you know heâs got a resident artist as well? They were all over the newspaper after they got accused of kidnapping that Princess Vivi girl!â
Violet raised her eyebrow.Â
âI didnât know thatâŠâ she paused for a moment before the idea struck. She smiled thinly. âOh! Tre!!â â...Iâm going to scout his ship more effectively. Maybe the codeâs written down somewhere, or maybe Iâll overhear it.âÂ
"Hah!" Trebol clapped his hands with a wider smile. "Clever girl, I was just about to suggest that."
Giolla cooed, and reached over to rustle Violetâs hairâ something so familiar that it made Violet laugh with a tinge of a flush. âYouâre such a smart girl, Vi-vi~. I donât even want to imagine what weâd really do without you!â
Violet leaned on her hand with a lopsided smile. âWeâre on the same page again. Iâm thinking if I can get it we can relay a message to them within a few hours when we get into range.â
She grinned at Giolla âI could say the sameâŠthe royal family doesnât know how to use my talents.âÂ
"Wonderful, wonderful. Let's head up to the deck then and get this ship on course, shall we?" He held a hand out. "Violet, be a dear and help me up?"
Violet stood immediately and walked over to take his hand and help him up as sheâd often done during family meetings over the last ten years of her life.
âAbsolutely, Tre.â she steadied him with a hand on his back. âOnce weâre on course, weâre one step closer to getting Doffy back.âÂ

Here are my pieces for the Blonde Bombshell Zine! @opblondebombshells
This was my first ever zine, and I'm happy that I got to be part of such an amazing project!
I absolutely adore the relationship between Giolla and Dellinger, so I'm was delighted that I got to write something about them for this zine!
Of course, I wrote something angsty for the zine as well! Poor Mansherry, she just has so much angst potential.
