Those who know me know that I am not a supporter of wolfstar because I believe that Sirius should have a partner who is strong in character. Even if that person is evil, Sirius will be drawn to them if they had a certain charisma to them. Which we know from canon that Remus Lupin didn't have any. Neither he had any strength in his character. Yes he had moral and was super brave but he lacked a certain spine.

And though I am 100 percent present in camp prongsfoot, I want to know.

Sirius's friendship with James and other marauders pretty much gives you the idea about what he would like in a partner. As we know he respected and cared for James above all. While we see that after school his friendship with Remus was pretty non existent...

And James Potter was strong and charismatic person.. So I feel that should be the criteria for determining his love interest......

The four boys made their way farther into the forest— Fabian the only one growing increasingly more concerned with where they were.

"Guys, are you sure we aren't lost? I don't recognize any of this." Fabian said nervously. He held onto Rudy's hand a bit tighter.

"We're perfectly fine, Ras and I come here often," Gideon brushed off his twin's worries, "We know this place inside out."

Rodolphus could see his boyfriend's worries hadn't been soothed by those words. He placed a chaste kiss on Fabian's cheek— hoping that would calm him even the slightest.

The walk was mostly silent, save for the Prewett twins talking to each other. Rudy and Ras intercut here and there, but the two brothers didn't talk much.

Finally, they reached a small clearing, the murky lake seeming to only heighten Fabian's worry, but calming Rabastan significantly. Ras wandered off from Gideon and proceeded to dip his legs over into the lake. He seemed calmer than Fabian had ever seen him. But Rodolphus and Gideon knew, it was quiet here. It helped Ras when it was quiet. Rudy and Fabian sat by a tree nearby, Rudy having goaded Fabian into a staring contest somehow. Ras stared at them, shaking his head at his brother. "He's acting so gay." He said matter of factly.

Gideon looked at his boyfriend with a small smile and slight confusion. "How so? It seems normal to me."

"That's because you don't know Rudy like I do. He's doing that so he has an excuse to stare into Fabian's eyes for a long time."

Gideon chuckled at the revelation. He thought that it was so out of character for Rudy that it was in character.

"I'm glad we did this." Gideon says absentmindedly to Rabastan. Ras nods slightly, curling into Gideon's arms.

Back in Hogwarts just before the Marauders got there (and the first year they were there), there was a friend group consisting of the Hufflepuff’s Ted Tonks, Edgar and Amelia Bones, and Benjy Fenwick, and then later the Gryffindor’s Gideon and Edgar Prewett, and lastly the Slytherin’s Andromeda Black, and Emma Vanity (who I am aging up for this, and also because I want Quidditch Captain Dorcas Meadowes)

Basically what happened here was Benjy, Ted and Edgar shared a dorm as all Hufflepuff boys (ok, Benjy’s non-binary and uses they/them, but they are AMAB so they were also in that dorm) in the same year, Amelia hung out with them because Edgar is her twin and SOMEONE had to be the braincell

The Prewett twins got pulled in about 5th year or so because Fabian started dating Benjy (Benjy once caught Fabian in the middle of one of the Prewett twin’s pranks, they innocently went up to Fabian and asked if they could help-and they managed to help create double the chaos, which caught Fabian’s attention) and so naturally wanted to hang out with his partner’s friends, Gideon also went with because those two are inseparable, and they hit it off really well with Ted and Edgar as well, with prefect and stickler for the rules Amelia less so but there was a begrudging respect between the three for their magical strength and stuff and it was not unheard of that-as long as the prank didn’t hurt anyone-for Amelia to turn a blind eye (Fabian swears he saw her smile once at one of their antics)

As for Andromeda, Andromeda spent most of her time at Hogwarts with Rabastan Lestrange and Emma Vanity as well as the wider Slytherin group, and having her own private doubts about pure-blood society but not yet broken out, that is until Edgar, Ted’s best friend who also had connections to Andromeda through being a member of the Sacred 28-albeit one without high standing among the Slytherin families, managed to introduce them. They hit it off much more than Andromeda thought she would and that kinda set off her leaving her Slytherin friend group, whom she had grown kind of tired of the constant blood supremacy with and left behind to join Ted’s group, who she got along with much better. Amelia especially, Amelia was her best friend almost instantly, the two just clicked as they had similar personalities and struggles with how they carried themselves, and Amelia was even Tonk’s godmother (Edgar was the godfather)

Emma was the last to join, sometime in 7th year. She also never quite fit into the pure-blood group because well she wasn’t a pure-blood, she was a half-blood. Her mother was either a muggle-born or muggle, haven’t decided, a fact she was smart enough to keep secret if she wanted to make it in Slytherin. Still, she didn’t want to leave it, until she saw Andromeda leave. At first she was envious that Andromeda did that, she was pure-blood, she fit in perfectly, but she still threw it all away for a new boyfriend. She also got a firm dislike of Andromeda’s apparent new BFF in Amelia and next thing you know this kinda turned into a rivals to lovers arc when Andromeda has a heart to heart with Emma and Emma talks about how she never actually felt like she quite fit in, no matter how hard she tried, how haughtily she carried herself, how good of a Quidditch captain she was, and Andromeda just said that she hadn’t felt more welcome than with her current group, so maybe she can join too? Emma tentatively took up her offer, found she liked Amelia more than she was willing to admit and one thing led to another and they started dating.

After school, Andromeda and Ted both became healers at St. Mungo’s. Amelia joined the ministry as a legal intern. Edgar wanted to do something with his fascination with muggles, but his parents were already not happy with him jeopardizing the families position in the Sacred 28 by marrying a muggle woman and so he relented and found a ‘productive’ job to do, which is be an auror with Gideon and Fabian, who became aurors because they wanted to fight for what was right in the coming war. Emma started playing professional quidditch, and so did Benjy as their father had also been a professional quidditch player (actually that is the whole reason they are in England, they were born and raised in Arizona but moved to England when their father got a really good deal on one of England’s teams, that was an adjustment that took some time, they still miss the sun), but unfortunately while Emma’s career quickly took off, Benjy was knocked off their broom from very high up and hit at an awkward angle and got injured so bad that they couldn’t play again and fell into a depressive funk for quite awhile, that not even Fabian could fully bring them out of and eventually it put a big enough strain on their relationship that they broke up.

During the war, as aurors, Edgar, Fabian and Gideon joined the Order as soon as they could. Benjy wanted to do it too, as as it was a way for them to find a purpose again, even if they mostly just had to do the non-physical aspects, even if it meant working with their ex. Their ex that they still had requited feelings for, oh boy. Yeah, about a year into them both working for the Order, they started dating again. Amelia was quickly rising the ranks in the ministry and even with the rising corruption, she figured she’d be a better help to the war with the Order. Ted and Andromeda were willing to let the Order use their house as a safe house and to help with medical assistance but they refused to actually join the order. Not when they had a seven year old at home. Emma Vanity just refused to join the fight at all, declaring it none of her business and deferring to her Slytherin self-preservation instincts.

So this meant it was quite a shock when she was the first to fall. She and two of the muggle-born players on her team were going out for drinks, when either a couple of death eater or death eaters sympathizers came and harassed them, Emma managed to get the other two muggle-born players to apparate to safety but she was killed in the struggle. After that, it wasn’t pretty. Edgar was killed along with his entire family, including his three young children. Benjy also should’ve been safe as they mostly worked in non-combat positions, such as information gathering, but because of that was kidnapped for information and Fabian tried to get to them but by the time Fabian got there, Benjy was already somehow torn to shreds. Fabian kind of went off then, with only Gideon able to reel them in, insisting on going on every mission with Fabian so Fabian didn’t pull a Dorcas Meadowes, didn’t work, all it meant was when the death eaters got to them, they got to both of them.

Ted and Amelia both survived the first war, Amelia was broken-hearted at the loss of both her beloved girlfriend and her twin and almost all her family, and so she poured herself into her work as a coping mechanism, with only the Tonks family and her niece able to bring the old Amelia out. Ted and Andromeda were also distraught at the loss of their friend group but privately both of them were at least glad that their family made it out safe, that their daughter would grow up in a safe world and hopefully never have to face this kind of loss or struggle or danger herself. Tonks for her part was too young to fully comprehend such loss but when she was older this would her choice in career was inspired by her uncles, and her favorite hair color was inspired by her aunt Amelia.

In the end, Andromeda was the only one of the group that survived both wars.
