Yeah, it's a fucking garbage state of affairs but, as a somewhat well-known performer with a pretty distinctive voice it doesn't exactly shock me. Needless to say I think anyone who used this is a mediocre waste of skin and if they ever tell me in person they've used it then 50/50 I punch them in the teeth.

I can't wait for a couple of years when it all collapses just like every other niche-but-interesting-technology-with-limited-use-cases-sold-as-a-universal-panacea-to-gormless-CEOs grift (blockchain being the best example). Because the thing is, none of these things actually make any money and cost a vast amount, so as soon as all the dumb venture capital funding dries up and AI is required to actually start paying for itself, the bubble bursts and the whole industry is fucked.

That said, it's gonna be rough when it happens - a lot of companies have invested very heavily in AI and they're going to be hurting badly. I know of more than one media company whose idiot executives invested ridiculous amounts into NFTs and ended up laying off massive swathes of workers when that obvious fucking scam collapsed. I suspect the AI crash is gonna be even worse than that. And by then it will have drowned the Internet in slop. We'll see, I guess.

Anyway, anyone who uses AI is a soulless fucking husk of a person who cannot tell half-digested vomit from culture, and I would pity them if they weren't making the world such a measurably worse place to exist.

this is going to veer slightly off topic from the post i think (only slightly), but it's something i've thought of and want to talk about. first, i'll address exactly what the post is saying. different parts of different animals taste differently, and are cooked differently, so i don't really see why it'd be different for humans for ghouls. i think that for us humans in the real world, the taste of different cuts of meat has a lot to do with the composition of the animal's body in certain areas, ie. fat content, muscle tissue, etc. and then they also taste a bit different due to the specific ways they need to be cooked. though, many ghouls don't feel a need to cook their meat and just eat it raw, so that will also contribute to taste. i think they can absolutely fry certain parts of the body with human fat, but not frying in the sense of deep frying, more so like pan frying.

i also wonder if there are some parts of the human body that do require cooking to be safely eaten by ghouls? there are plenty of meats/specific cuts like that for us, and i highly doubt ghouls are immune to food poisoning or e. coli or parasites.

veering more off from the post like i promised, this topic reminds me of how i think there are probably parts of the human that are widely considered undesirable amongst ghouls. it's a thing that has happened very frequently throughout human history, where the more privileged people take all the "desirable" cuts of meat and leave all of the "undesirable" parts for the underprivileged. the "undesirable" parts are typically things like intestines, the brain, bone marrow, tongue, etc. (this stuff is often called "offal" if you're curious)

that being said, i wonder if there are parts of the human that ghouls often leave behind or dispose of due to their lack of desirability and if there are weaker ghouls who feed off of these leftover, discarded parts because they don't have the capabilities to hunt humans themselves. i wonder if they are able to make unique and delicious cuisine out of these parts like many underprivileged communities in real life have. idk! i think about this sometimes!

I'm not sure if someone has already asked this question or not, but do you think that every body part on a human has a different or certain taste?

It's obvious that each human has a different taste to them.

Do you think a ghoul can fry human body parts with human fat, like how we use animal fat for fried things?

i've been in this fandom since 2016, so i've seen headcanons and zone culture and terminology of all kinds.

with that said, i'd like to present the official (unofficial) danger days dictionary.

includes everything from zone culture, slang, battery city locations, phoenix witch, even down to bad luck beads and the dust bowl.

for the nitpickers out there, the comics are mainly discarded in this— due to how overwhelming it would be to throw in even MORE overlapping terms and such. some comic characters have been slipped into the regular timeline / universe, just for funsies and a honorary mention. don't come at me, thanks!

I like to think during December/when killjoys think it is, they make a bunch of shitty ornaments and hang them on cacti. You'll see little wood carvings of flowers and animals, dolls of what a 'joy thinks the Phoenix Witch looks like, bandanas they think are real neat, going to steal MouseKat dolls from Battery City to decapitate them and hang them from the arms of a cactus. What the fuck is a biege Christmas? The trashier it looks, the better.

Thinking more about this and I need to do some more sketches for the traditional clothing from themore extreme areas of Hell (like clothes to handle the harsh hurricane force winds of Lust or the frozen solid areas of the Betrayal layer) or how some or how some subcultures have adaptations to accommodate their elemental differences (ex: the traditional robes from water ghoul packs open in the front to accommodate easy removal for swimming and are belted low on the hips to avoid pressure on their torso gills)

sandpups growing up scrambling up onto the back of motorbikes and crawling into the trunk of vans and cars. curling up with kids from other crews on top of caravans or huddled around fires while crashqueens and rebels and killjoys get wasted on cheap alcohol and sing and fight and dance. aging amongst the sand and stars, praying to the witch for fresh water, digging for cactus roots in the dirt and sharing sweets amongst one another. adorning each other's faces in paint and teaching one another to braid and sew and make bracelets to trade for food. childhood memories existing as a blur of market stalls and neon paint and blood, the roaring of engines and the sound of gunfire muffled from the electric music pouring from a crackly car speaker.

Something that I don't think I've ever seen brought up before:

How quickly Yoshimura takes in Kaneki.

How everyone treats Kaneki like a ghoul.

From Anteiku to Nishiki to random ghoul encounters.

Right from the get-go.

"Despite" him being half-human. And being uncultured in ghoul matters.

It's really sweet and very hopeful of the series, seeing how accepting and welcoming ghouls are, and I'd love to see people bring that aspect up in analysis that interpret and connect being a ghoul with race, sexuality, gender, etc.

Tokyo Ghoul could have easily been about Kaneki needing to "prove" himself as a half-ghoul, but he didn't. He was taken in and helped from the very start, treated as just another ghoul who needed help and community.

It's just a very comforting thought to me, as someone who's seen gatekeeping and exclusionists in so many online communities of marginalized identities.

Ghoul field notes: Grave digging.

Once again bringing up one of the definitions of Ghoul: “an evil spirit or phantom, especially one supposed to rob and feed on dead bodies.”

Less hunters, more scavengers.* They’re grave robbers, and I think free roaming ghouls would have certain vocalizations to steer prying eyes away from their meal. Packs don’t need to worry about this as much, as there’s safety in numbers.

They sob, they wail as they dig. To cover up the sounds of dirt, wood, and stone being displaced. If you hear anguished crying in a graveyard, it’s best not to disturb the mourning, right? It’s still a slightly inhuman noise, so if respect doesn’t keep unwanted visitors away, the distorted mix of weeping and hyena-like laughter should.

*Scavengers imply the existence of a main predator, not sure what yet. Maybe Death itself.
