obsessed with ancient/stone age human culture (would have gone on to study it if life hadnt gotten in the way) and so your ghosts au bdubs has me chomping at the bit. what a brilliant and wonderful choice. i dont have a lot of coherent thoughts rn but i love love love the tags in the og post of your recent fanart of him and i hope to see more of him and i love to turn him around in my brain. & wanted to tell you that.

i also think sometimes about how long he spent alone in death before any of the other ghosts joined him and oh, my goodness. how, uh,, how do you think he's doing?

Ghosts AU Bdubs is so interesting to me bc I came in at the beginning mostly just basing him on the portrayal of Robin from the show, which I knew wasn't entirely historically accurate in the first place so I would probably want to go more in depth with him at some point, but I just hadn't taken the time to do the research necessary to actually go through with that development, and then this semester half of my classes these last few weeks have been discussing Paleolithic and Neolithic people and art and something just snapped in my brain and I was like. Ah. Okay. The potential there is crazy actually. So there'll definitely be more of him!! I'm like half using him as an excuse to explore the stuff I learned in my classes more in depth and half using the fact that I learned about this stuff in my classes as an excuse to finally go through and develop him the way I wanted. Symbiotic relationship or whatever.

Also yeah, that long ass gap of time where he was the only ghost around certainly has been bouncing around in my head a bit. I don't have. completely coherent thoughts about it at the moment. I certainly think he might've coped in similar ways to the way Robin does in the show, getting attached to the people living on the property, spending a lot of his time learning from them and talking to them even if they don't realize he's there. I think he probably would've been a much more serious figure in life, and also in the early days of his afterlife (I mean not completely, it's still Bdubs we're talking about lol, but still), that spending all that time alone might've unraveled him a bit. I feel like it's hard to get a definitive grip on like. Who he is. Some days he's kind of obsessive and neurotic, in everyone's business, easily worked up, other days he seems perfectly content to ignore the happenings of the house, just do his own thing out on the property. I feel like most of the other ghosts wouldn't know much about his life, or even his early afterlife, he doesn't talk about it much and when he does it's always some crazy one-off anecdote that doesn't let you in on much of what was actually happening at the time. I think, like Robin in the show, he probably has his moments of like complex emotional or social intelligence that seem kind of out of nowhere from an outside perspective until you think about how long he's been around to have observed and learned about the world, about people.

YEEESSS! So I don't know why, I just started vibing with Being Human (UK of course) again last week which then migrated to the endless AU possibilities of that show.

(Summary for anyone that hasn't watched it - vampire, werewolf, ghost live together. Hijinks happen)

So I then started thinking of a Roy/Jamie/Keeley Being Human AU and mulled over all the options in my head and I may write more than one of the options but the option I settled on was *drum roll please* 🥁🥁🥁 Werewolf Jamie, Ghost Roy, Vampire Keeley. Now this was for three reasons:

I needed Keeley to not be the ghost because I want S1 vibes and so Roy and Jamie couldn't already be friends

Keeley as a pocket vampire was too fun to avoid and in mine she's more of a Hal (ancient vampire who has very VERY severe mood swings around blood) than a Mitchell (baby vamp who wants to go sober)

The angst potential of both werewolf Jamie and ghost Roy was way too good to miss out on

It's going to be a one shot series not a full plotted singular fic as I am already writing one television episode style fic and I cannot do another. Also in the show there is a lot of cute dead time but I don't think it would be cute in the fic.

The fic story posted in this AU is going to be the first meeting where Keeley and Jamie move into the house Roy is haunting and here's a bit of the first meeting

Warning - it partially sex scene (the first sex scene I have ever written fun fact!)

Roy had seen a lot of things in his time as a spirit. He had also avoided seeing and hearing a lot of things in his time as a spirit. But as he was staring into the cupboard for something to leave a threatening message with for this new couple, he froze in place. “God Jay,” came the whine echoing through from the mostly open plan living room. Roy tensed, fingers digging into the course fabric of his jeans in an attempt to settle himself. Damn people in his damn house. “Yes there, Jamie yes,” Keeley groaned, her voice cutting right through him. Roy stood, the voice like a tether turning him out of the kitchen and to stand in the doorway of the living space. Keeley was sat up onto the dining room table with her legs spread wide. Her skirt was hitched up to bunch around her waist and the feet clad in dainty little pink heels were hooked over Jamie’s shoulders. Roy’s fingers dug into the doorframe just as Jamie’s fingers dug into Keeley’s thighs. Her back arched as another whine ripped out of her throat. Jamie’s face was pressed against her crotch and with every move of his head Keeley was shuddering in place. Her hands tangled in Jamie’s hair, taking control, as Roy stumbled one step backwards. This wasn’t the first time he had stumbled in on the residents of the house having sex. Usually Roy would just start rattling some drawers and throwing stuff and that got them to stop pretty quickly. Not this time. This time Roy stood there, watching. If he had any blood then his flush would match the one spreading across Jamie’s bare back as Keeley yanked on his hair with each motion. “Fuck!” Roy cursed, screwing his eyes shut. “What the fuck!” Keeley screeched, but in panic instead of the ecstasy that she was chasing. Roy’s eyes flew open and he saw Keeley looking him right in the eyes and her jaw wide. Jamie’s was sprawled back on the floor, his face flushed and wet but also looking up through his eyelashes … directly at Roy. “Get the fuck out of our house!” Keeley squealed, yanking her skirt down. “Get the fuck out of my house!” Roy yelled back instinctively. “Ain’t your fucking house perv,” Jamie growled, now back onto his knees and bristling. “Wait,” the situation finally caught up with Roy, “you can see me?”

This actually brings up a really good point about Ghost Society!

Since it's reporters are most likely those who literally died for the truth (and maybe also justice), who's to say that almost everyone else have not literally died (and survived) out of a sense of justice and spite?

Give me a Ghost Society of people that died protecting kids/minorities/disabled/LGBTQ/ect and woke up again cause the work's not done.

Give me the thousands of retail and service staff that died and just got back up again to continue dismantling big name companies from the bottom and giving back to society, surviving every single day before and after death to pass just a little bit of light back into other people's lives, out of spite of everything that seeks to destroy them.

Give me all the nurses who kept working though it hurt, kept saving tho it killed, kept helping even those who got on their nerves and didn't appreciate them and their expertise, that took them for granted.

Give me foster workers, police detectives, lawyers, polititians that were the shining beacon of good in workforces that seem so corrupt.

Give me office workers that died of overwork, hateful of the CEOs that pushed them to their deaths.

Give me scientists with no funding or died in pursuit of discovery, filled with passion.

Give me the very backbone of society, that kept going not cause it's easy, not cause they don't have a place in whatever version of heaven they believe in, but because of spite, because of devotion, because of passion.

Give me a society of people that have felt the pain of capitalism and been killed by it, give me a society of ghost that live to spite it.

Give me a society of kindness and compassion, that would sooner die again than let themselves be used and abused once more.

A society that would Eat prejudice and capitalism and any society that would put money before people before it could touch them.

Now give me that society peeking right back through the veil to the society that they came from, a society that is still as broken and corrupt as it was before.

Well let's just say there's really no illusion of authority anymore.

Oh... my god? Ghost Reporters.

Imagine it. Their office is in the Zone. They literally FEED of hunting for The Next Big Scoop! And Revealing The Truth! Every honest reporter that got silenced for getting a little too close to the facts. The bloody, beating, heart of societies underbelly.

Every Lois Lane that had no Kryptonian to stop some rich and powerful jackals putting them in the ground.

Well Death sure didn't stop THEM! They STILL want answers! But now they have co-wokers. Oh~ and SUPERPOWERS! And best part?

The newly appointed KING is going too and from the living world. That must mean it's okay now, RIGHT? Your majesty? You're not a RAGING HYPOCRITE, aaaaare you? :) 🎤

And... look. Danny knows full well what these piranhas are up too. He's not stupid. But Madeline Fenton raised a lot of things. Fool? Not one of um. That a LOT of reporters with sharp, sharp teeth and bloodlust in their eyes. He wants to half-live.

Fucking Lex Luthor, clearly deciding to roll with it, coming to sign himself up for a paper. Gaining a new life long Nemesis upon meeting Vladimir Master, whom he decides is both hot and unbearable. Someone is heard shouting "oh god, there's TWO OF THEM!"

And?? Look. Clark isn't MAD. Or JEALOUS. Nor is he in a secret Reporting War with Jerry from the Amity Chronicle. Because that would be petty and childish. He's just SAYING, maybe they should check the place out!

One of my favorite things about Tgcf is that, canonically, Hua Cheng would be represented by a fox. Truly the most accurate animal I can think of, so good on you mxtx. And, one thing about foxes is that they sound like they’re giggling when excited (Google it, it’s adorable).

Now, picture this, AU where Hua Cheng appears as a fox to Xie Lian instead of his original San Lang skin. Imagine Xie Lian just traveling around with a fox following after him who gets into mischief just to make Xie Lian smile.

Also, this fox just passive aggressively laughing at people. Like, Mu Qing and Feng Xin are insisting that this little fox Xie Lian picked up is some evil ghost king or whatever and Xie Lian is like “guys, he’s a fox, calm down.” And then he scoops up the fox and walks in the other direction while the fox looks over his shoulder back at them, and starts snickering.

I shared this in the official discord already but tumblr deserves to hear my totally awesome ideas

Since frost x kremy is trending I thought of an idea. So like since frost got the noir detective curse and kremy was murdered woman during guys night what if there was an au where frost is an actual noir detective called Mourning frost and kremy is like a gogo dancer or something who cross dresses. Who seeks out help from frost to find a missing mutual friend (Gideon) the owner of the coal mining company who has had some ties with the wrong people. Anyway this is the first time they’re meeting and frost is mesmerize by how kremy wasn’t afraid to be himself (because like this is the 1950’s or something) they discussed the case at a bar. They get close later on blah blah blah sparks happen and then one night there walking late at night and then BANG shots are fired and one hits kremy ending the night with a blood covered trench coat,a police report, and frost’s tear stained fur. Okay so like the next morning frost gets ready for work like usual but the morning air was more cold than usual and as he goes to brush his teeth he notices a familiar figure, behind him in his bathroom mirror. It’s kremy with the same outfit he wore on guys night like blood and all it’s like his ghost.

The film would called be “The ghost of you”

Hello and welcome to my TED talk about parallels that my brain sees between Arcane and Dead Space.

Eldritch Horror - we have Viktor final form of Herald in series and Necromoons in DS3.

The cult and it’s symbol - we have Hexcore and Unitologists with Marker.

Ultimate Unity - at the end of the series Viktor was connecting everyone in the Hexspace to start Glorious Evolution. The idea of Unitology is to start the Convergence process, which will unite and “Make us whole again”.

Engineers - both Markers and Hexcore need engineers that they will affect, so they will build them. In DS 2 it was Isaac who under Dementia from Aegis VII Marker helped to build Marker on Sprawl. In Arcane Hexcore started to manipulate Viktor around the end of 1st season.

“The makers must be absorbed” - In DS2 to start Convergence event makers (ex.Isaac) must be absorbed. In Arcane Hexcore were able to absorb and became part of Viktor, which helped him (Hexcore) to evolve (Thank you Jayce).

Using face of a deceased person who is dear to you - For Isaac we had Nicole, for Viktor it was Sky. I know that idea that Sky ghost was a part is just a theory, but still. For DS Isaac is not only one example, Dr.Kyne saw his deceased wife, Kendra her dead brother, etc.

Body changes/horror - when in Arcane at first Victor cured them and later transformed into mechanical dolls, in DS we have Necromorps.

OKAY BUT Y'ALL. I'm genuinely curious. About the Monster Falls au. Fyi this post is going to be me throwing crap at the walls to see what sticks.

When it comes to Monster Falls...why has no one ever suggested a Harpy or Werecat for Mabel?? I feel like these monsters also fit our Mabes. Now the question for Werecat Mabel- is her body like that of a faun or a tuar?

I mostly agree with the main cast's monsters (erm Deer-per is precious??) aside from Mabel even if Merm/Unicorn her is cool

Also Wendy is usually a werefox but I feel that a werewolf also fits (especially considering how hairy werewolves are. Who else is hairy? Oh yeah! The Corduroy men)

According to the GF au wiki Soos is a clay golem. It works! I think we can still get creative with this! He could be a slime or alien (I'm picturing Toy Story lmao. "You saved my life dudes, I'm eternally grateful") or robot or faun or really any monster lol. I suppose he's of Mexican descent and therefore could be a Mexican creature! Maybe HE'S the unicorn because he's pure of heart...🥺 He could also still be a human super hyped that his friends are now monsters. What we think y'all I'm stumped.

Again going by the wiki Pacifica is either a gorgon or unicorn. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE IDEA OF GORGON PACIFICA I just wanted to propose a nymph as an idea. Do I want gorgon or nymph...

"Old Man McGucket is usually a scarecrow, warlock or a demon." - GF AU wiki. Ehh idk about these. Maybe McGucket is the slime? A cow creature or smth? A Kill Billy? Oh, he's a Kill Billy I found it! EUREKA!!

Now that I'm thinking about it Gravity Falls/Journal 3 specific monsters could be included in the ideas. Soos is another Abominable Broman haha.

Gideon is said to be a vampire, which just makes sense (bloodsucker lmao). I purpose an alternative: gnome.

Once again according to GF wiki Candy is a kappa. I say no. It's a cute idea but I'm also iffy about it considering the fact that Candy is of Korean/Chinese descent and a kappa is from Japanese folklore. That's not to say species/monsters can't cross nationality/ethnic boundaries, I'm just saying why not a Korean or Chinese monster? For example a g/kumiho (Korean) or qilin/kirin (Chinese/Korean)!

It also says Melody is a Harpy. Approved. She can apparently also be a ghost which is fine but Harpy Melody is adorable thx. I suppose maybe she's the mermaid of the bunch but now I'm team harpy

Is Tad Strange still a human? Or a piece of bread? IS HE THE SQUARE VERSION PEOPLE THEORIZED ABOUT

!NPMD SPOILERS (duh)!

My brain keeps making NPMD aus and i NEED to talk about one im obsessed with rn 🙏 might turn it into a fanfic or fanart thing idk

After Richie Dies, Pete grieves SUPER hard. And in desperation he goes to Ted for help, cause you know, he definitely has some coping mechanisms.. maybe not good ones but oh well.

(I like to think due to Ted being..Ted, he would 100% have an ouija board somewhere hidden in like a basement or attic).

Pete ends up keeping it in his closet. the next day rolls around,and he convinces Steph and Ruth to stay after school on Monday to hopefully communicate with Richie. Grace was NOT down for it though, and threatened to tell the principal about their devious and dangerous plan. One of them mentioned reporting what they did with max to the police, and she shuts up real fast.

after school Him,Ruth, and Steph sneak into the school after hours and into the boys locker room, as to hopefully not get caught on actual school hours and to potentially communicate with their dead friend.

Pete takes out and sets up the board on the locker room floor and tries to communicate with Richie's ghost. Steph thinks it's stupid,but knows how much Richie means to both Pete and Ruth, so she keeps it in her mind. And Ruth is silent, and on the verge of tears.

(Spoilers alert, IT WORKS 🗣️ and Ruth would 100% ask if ghosts could piss😨)

Richie ends up trying to warn them about Max.

(I might add more but y'all get the point!! :) plus the angst would be YUM 🙏)
