Hi Jack !! I gotta yap about my c.ai pepe bc i am COOKING with this storyline

so basically it starts off as childhood best friends but then my OC and him have a giant falling out during a drunk celebration because my OC drunkenly confessed to him and he rejected her because he was too scared and they don't talk for MONTHS but during the F2 summer break their families plan a joint family summer trip to Tenerife and my OC and pepe are forced to act civil around each other the entire trip because their parents don't know about the whole drunk fiasco.

their parents especially their mothers start SETTING THEM UP like making them do activities together, putting them in THE SAME ROOM at this point they're not trying to be subtle 😧

so in return, my OC and Pepe (no it's just my OC) hatch a plan to pretend to date in order to get their parents off their backs and stop them from meddling but it spirals out of control because Pepe gives so many mixed signals by being a gentleman yet avoiding commitment or even mentioning the drunk confession while my OC is trying to hold that grudge FOR DEAR LIFE and act cold but she just keeps on falling harder and the plan backfires on BOTH OF THEM

the song that keeps on playing that reminds me of this is Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran because just IMAGINE the lyrics are Pepe's thoughts as he watches the sunset with her like

A shortcut!#Now imagine for a sec trying to get through a parkcore + miros bird gauntlet with a corpse and a worm within 5 cycles #before the scav ran out of karma and you were stuck inside forever. Yeah #Besides that tho I've been messing around and been very tenderly modding the game.#Turns out you can have a bit of fun with most sprites without too much effort by simply cloning the MSC mod in your files #Then changing the copy's mod info so it doesn't clash and simply swapping images out for whatever you want #As long as you have the sprite name you can do this. You can also change region names and decals and music all sorts of stuff.#In short I've been brewing a custom mod for a friend to make her suffer as much as possible <3 #Thanks to a buddy on the rw server for showing me that trick btw lol. Huchu #The Library of the Dead #really enjoy this series!#the worldbuilding is very interesting - kinda combo climate-ravaged future but also in some aspects societally it feels kinda 1800s #(especially with the vibe of the mystery/paranormal elements)#I saw that the author (who is from Zimbabwe) describe it as ‘if edinburgh was a third world city’ which actually makes a lot of sense #Also I have to make the wendell & wild x lockwood & co comp again #I felt like book 2 was a little all over the place? I slightly lost track of the other-realms stuff lol #I really loved book 3 though - definitely more direct plot-wise #I like how it explores her journey through learning that the magic society is just as corrupt and shitty as anything else and maybe she #doesn't want it after all. as well as how the stress of everything is getting to her is causing panic attacks #love the scottish accent in the audiobooks!#so many interesting different supernatural elements. yay for sidhe in book 3 (tho only briefly)#hold on. do the book covers reflect the colour of her locs. (ok not quite for book one which is usually blue but there is a green variant)#ok I did say no romance but also I can’t tell if I’m just imagining Something between ropa & priya bc in book 3……they had some moments.#I mean I enjoy them as platonic moments also but just noting here in case it DOES turn out to be intentional and something that happen??#also fair warning the promo for book four seems to spoil somehting that's not even in the blurb??#aroaessidhe 2024 reads

I haven't reached the chapters with the Roger Pirates' backstory + Buggy talking about his relationship with Shanks yet, but I've gotten little spoilers here and there and I have some thoughts. This could be very obvious but I just connected the two dots lol.

It seems to be implied that Roger favored Shanks at least slightly more than Buggy and it didn't go unnoticed by him. Like, the fact that Shanks was the one holding the hat already says a lot. It seems like Roger had a lot of expectations for Shanks and his future. And this is also why Buggy was so disappointed in Shanks even temporarily abandoning his main ambitions and why he chose to not continue piracy alongside him. Anyway, that's not the main thing that I want to talk about.

There is this panel of someone asking Roger who he thinks is going to find the one piece to which he answers something like: my son, of course! And the other person mentions that he has no son.

I personally took this at face value and thought this was referring to Ace, and Roger's plan to have a son before dying who would follow his legacy and find his treasure and would also be someone who would be carrying the will of D. But maybe the whole thing with Rouge was a coincidence that happened after Roger disbanded his crew and left. Roger seemed to have loved babies, so maybe he just fell in love with Rouge and chose to have a child with for the sake of his own happiness before he died.

And here is something I noticed and it could be nothing or even a translation thing. But the few times that Roger mentions Ace he never refers to him as his son, but his child. He even chose two names and didn't seem to be favoring one outcome.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is, what if this was never referring to Ace and was always about Shanks. Roger basically raised him and Buggy as his sons since they were babies...

If Buggy ends up being the first one who reaches the one piece, this will also end up being ironic.

Am I reaching or was I an idiot for thinking the other way around before asdfghj

my s class hunters does a really good job at gradually raising the stakes without feeling like a pointless power creep and keeping me extremely invested and i keep saying this but I really do think it's bc it's a story grounded in love at every turn... the bond between the han brothers especially is extremely compelling and beautiful and makes me feel like a knife is being stabbed into my heart and twisted all around... i love them so so much 😞💔❤️‍🩹❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
