Just wanted to tell you that pitch fefnep is real as fuck and I appreciate you bringing it to my attention.

Are there any other pitch ships you seriously live for?

My big one is Eridan <3< Calliope (#callidan let's make it happen)! There's a lot of karmic stuff linking them together - I'm not going to say it ALL here, but suffice to mention that cherubs are naturally attracted pitch-wise to people who resemble the half they lost in predomination, and Eridan literally made his username "cal" (caligula, so it's even 8 letters, lmao).

Personality-wise, though, fully-character-developed Eridan and Calliope are like a match made in hell. Eridan is violent, obsessed with murder, deliberately likes to style himself as an arrogant, evil despot, says a lot of slurs, is a complete moron who doesn't listen to people but believes in stuff very very strongly anyways, and, assuming he's finished his character arc, somehow still manages to be a force for good. This makes him similar to Caliborn in a lot of ways (Hussie even calls Eridan a sort of proto-Caliborn MULTIPLE times in the book commentary), and Calliope would have a lot to get infuriated by, especially since that last point would give Eridan that "i hate everything about you, BUT..." factor that makes a pitch relationship work.

OTOH, Calliope gets super fucking smug when she starts winning, Eridan would 100% see her as a poser wizard (who needs to load their MAGIC WAND with BULLETS????) as well as a poser troll. She would also definitely adopt a stance of "every life is precious," and already displayed compassion and forgiveness to a dangerous degree wrt Caliborn, and all of this would probably piss Eridan off. Also, Eridan is easy, and the fact that Calliope is actually willing to entertain him in pitch at all is probably enough to get him to date her in blackrom all by itself. LBR, all it really takes to date Eridan is just being willing to date Eridan. This is both a low and high bar to clear.

Given that murdering and genocide-obsessing literally kept his friends alive long enough to play the game, I just can't see Eridan ever becoming a pacifist, or even coming to see murder as a bad thing (even if he'd feel bad about and apologize for murdering his friends specifically).

It'd also be pretty bad if the Hope player (ideals, convictions, faith, and also turning fake stuff real) had wrong beliefs, so Eridan's character arc wouldn't so much see his obsession with murder dropped so much as having it reoriented, his focus becoming "I care about my friends and will do anything to make sure they succeed in creating a better world. I'd kill for them. I will kill for them. I am going to kill for them."

He's still kind of a token evil teammate as a result - the guy who pipes up at every town hall to go, "y'know, murder is on the table. I'm not saying that I want to do it or even that we should, but I'm just reminding you that it's a tool in our arsenal, and something our enemies might resort to" as well as the debbie downer who reminds people that meat comes from animals that used to have families.

Plus, given that his hipster stuff ties in with being a Hope player - the staunch and firm beliefs in there being "better" stuff, the unshakeable conviction and dedication toward being anti-mainstream, and the fact that it's one of his few genuine interests besides magic - that trait actually gets exacerbated in lieu of the fake pro-empire, dualscar-emulating stuff he was doing before.

So, basically, Eridan given the full redemption arc + character development combo would spit out an Eridan that's MORE annoying than he was before? Because, like, not only is he a turbo pretentious hipster now, but he's also the "heartbreaking: the worst person you know just made an excellent point" guy. He's comfortable in his own skin, no longer trying to be something he isn't. Instead, with absolute, non-negotiable, unshakeable faith in himself, he is 100% of what he is.

"What he is," of course, being a neurotic, murder-obsessed, low-empathy lunatic with zero social skills, a pretentious hipster, a cringe-ass wizard who won't shut up about it and has no self-awareness of how cringe he's being, still 100% aggro 100% of the time, and an obsessive simp. In a very leftist/existentialist way, he would fully own up to having done horrible things, and being willing to do them again, should the circumstances call for them. "Shameless" is probably a good word to use, here.

Meanwhile, Calliope is genuinely well-meaning as fuck, even if she doesn't fully grasp things like "humans going trickster mode is bad actually" and that her fascination/obsession with the trolls and kids as "characters" still borders on dehumanizing.

Still, it's clear that she operates from a place of love and admiration, and given a lease on life free from her brother and surrounded by friends, I do genuinely believe Calliope's arc culminates in her being the embodiement of the ideas that we must be good to each other, kind to each other, loving to each other, and trust and care for each other. After all, she has it within her; her alternate self was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for the good of several universes.

Still, Calliope as this cosmic, karmic force of good - what the comic ultimately exonorates and treats as something worthy of protection and rescue - sets her up against Eridan ideologically really well. Calliope represents "we must do good" in the most optimistic sense - people will be kind back if you are kind to them, and to create a loving society, a caring society, we must care about others, we must believe in others.

Meanwhile, Eridan would represent "we must do good" in the most dark and pessimistic sense - we must be prepared to sacrifice for each other, we hold duties to one another, we must be our best selves because we owe it to each other, we must not accept complacency, we must be ever-vigilant of our worst tendencies, we must take responsibility. No society exists without sacrifice, no revolution is without bloodshed, and nothing is ever worth fighting for that won't eventually need to be fought for - and who will do the fighting? The society that separates its scholars from its warriors will have its thinking done by cowards and its fighting by fools, etc.

Like how pitch FefNep works for me on this axis of pragmatism vs. idealism - Feferi and Nepeta are both fundamentally duking it out over what it means to create and administer a society, with Nepeta representing unbridled freedom, while Feferi brings to the table controlling restraint. Neither is fully correct on their own - Nepeta is anarchic, and so her ideals are inherently unstable, while Feferi is fascistic, which can cause great harm. It's Hegalian dialectics. Thesis, antithesis, and their union/rivalry is the synthesis into a greater nuanced balance between the two.

Callidan works for me in the same way: Calliope and Eridan are both fundamentally aiming to create a world that's good, and Calliope says, we must be kind, while Eridan says, we must be cruel. They're both correct, and both have an ideal that can't stand on its own. Calliope's hardline stance of pure compassion lets bad apples take advantage, while Eridan's hardline stance of sacrifice and personal responsibility leads to misery and unfulfillment. Together, they strike a harmony.

And also they'd be so funny together. Like

A Very Long and Very Rage Written Rant about people talking about the FNAF Movie because I am seeing some takes that make me want to bash my head into a wall.

Very quickly an apology to my followers on here that followed me for Sonic. I would post this on my main but if you read my username I don't really have the time to do that right now. Very sorry for clogging up your TL.

Anyway, I am about to use very aggressive and targeted language. I am not hating on anyone specific but I am going to be saying sentences like "Are you dumb? Why are you like this?" Tumblr is my void and I am going to scream. I know some of the things I say may not be common knowledge. However, in this rant, I am going to pretend that it is. I am going to swear a lot. I am going to be talking about fist-fighting people whom I disagree with.

Just know that once again, this is a rant. Not a "please stop saying blah blah blah blah." I am not going to go out of my way to attack people. Which is, once again, why I am screaming here.

With that out of the way, it is time to scream.

OH MY FUCKING GOD SOME OF THE THINGS YA'LL ARE SAYING. I have never felt the urge to rip through my fucking screen and grab some of yall by the throat. I want to bodyslam you onto the ground and pummel you to death.

Let's begin with a recent complaint I saw about William having no motivation in the movie and how they should have given him his motivation, let me tell you something bud.

They did. They did give him his motive. However, this is a 2-hour movie and they didn't dive into it. It's almost like they're making a second movie or something? OH WAIT THEY ARE! THIS IS THE FIRST MOVIE! THEY ARE ESTABLISHING ROLES!

They want you to grasp from this movie that:

William is a threat.

Mike is doing his best and is not going to pick up on everything.

Abby and the missing kids are, indeed, regular-ass kids who aren't going to understand fully the situation they're in.

Vanessa is a traumatized individual who wants to please her father and was manipulated into helping him because, you know, THAT IS HER DAD.

They are setting up the basics so people know what to expect from the next film. They will, most likely, be going into William's motives then. But as of right now, they are setting the roles that each character is going to take.

I don't know how some of yall ain't getting that because it is the most clear as day thing to me but that may be because I am aiming to be a writer down the line.

Time to aim at the other complaint I've seen which is that Vanessa is an Afton complaint. All I have to say to that is, whoah, it's almost like the movie takes place in an alt-universe from the games. And even if Vanessa is an Afton in the games who gives a fuck? She isn't Williams's direct child if that's the case and it just ties her in with the old characters. A popular thing I have seen a couple of times is that sometimes people portray Gregory as an Afton. So what's so wrong about Vanessa being an Afton. I am genuinely curious here? What's wrong about her being an Afton.

Some of yall come up with the most stupidest ass complaints I swear to god.

"But Micheal is meant to be the Afton-" Tell me how that would have worked in this movie. Tell me how Mike would not have recognized his own father if he was William. Also, I like that the movie implies that his dad is probably Henry.

"How does it imply that?"

I don't know, why don't we look at the career office scene again where William reads Mike's last name and recognizes it. He wants to tie up his loose ends.

And Mike? Mike is a loose end.

It just makes sense and it goes into the last complaint I saw about the movie.

The "I always come back line doesn't make sense," complaint.

THE REASON WHY IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO YOU IS THAT YOU KEEP PLACING IT IN THE WRONG CONTEXT YOU FOOL, YOU ABSOLUTE BAFOON. YOU'RE PLACING IT IN THE GAME'S CONTEXT. NOT THE MOVIES.

If I am fucking right about the fact that Henry is a Schmidt in the movie then that means William has always been a part of Mike's life. He has been haunting Mike since he took Garret, he influenced Mike to get a job at Freddy's, and he was the reason why Mike met Vanessa.

When he said he'd come back, he wasn't talking about coming back from the dead.

He meant it as he'll come back and make Mike's life a living hell.

Now I'm not trying to be a crazy conspiracy theorist here BUT considering the fact RT stop airing the show on YouTube and if you wanted to watch the show or any other RT shows you had to go to their website. Then season 2 of Genlock being transfered to HBO MAX before being shutdown completely. And the cherry on top all of the scandals that was happening with the company itself.

I really don't think any company is going to pick RWBY for nostalgia purpose yes but with all the controversy, bad handling of finances, and how Barabra states the show need to be profitable (which it hasn't been even with the partnership of Crunchyroll). RWBY will now forever be tied with RT failings and no company wants to touch that.

I also doubt know if RT was genuinely serious if RWNY found another home but with them being vague I'm pretty sure they actually meant it as "we are actually hoping for someone to but this show and we don't actually have a company in mind" so yeah #greenlit volume 10 is more like #please some help a us out

Really interesting things that everybody should read!!

They really took RWBY for granted, that's what I'm getting out of this!

RT has a love-hate relationship with RWBY because they begrudgingly have to fulfill the show, but really they want to promote their other projects and 7 thousand podcasts that nobody cared about. They want the old-fashioned Roosterteeth back (gaming, jabbering, podcasting, bro-ing around), but with their fame dwindling and not catching up to today's mainstream, they basically put RWBY through the wringer just for attention.

They never grew up. They never took responsibility and they failed themselves.

When they're destined to shut this year, now they care about RWBY because they know the show is their money maker. Reality hit them like 5 freight trains and it forced them to get a grip. There's nothing wrong with needing help (begging for any company to pick up RWBY,) but they also need to do their part and fix their problems. No company would want to be back-loaded with their bullshit if they don't get themselves together.

I mean even Crunchyroll couldn't help them forever. I wouldn't be surprised if CR didn't want RWBY after their run with V9. If Amazon picks it up - because Amazon tends to pick up anything - then I may be intrigued. Sometimes Amazon airs hits or misses, just like A24 or Netflix.

I believe that DID is almost always caused by trauma. And that more research needs to be done on different presentations of OSDD to determine how strong its association with trauma is.

i should preface this by saying seraphine is one of my favorite characters in league. she is my main and i love everything about her. my username in league is literally “seralove” and i spent my stupid real life money on stupid rp to buy that stupid beautiful icon instead of using the trans pride one

with that said, i wish they did more with her.

i do think seraphine has depth and i remember being so pleasantly surprised when i read her color story by how genuinely good it was. i think her struggle of activism and trying to not be performative when you actually care and being constantly misunderstood is pretty relatable to people who struggle to express themselves clearly in many topics and not just social causes (ie me). i just wish they showed that differently.

her voice lines don’t represent that at all and are quite bland compared to the premise of her entire character. she is just shown to be optimistic when she has more layers than that! which her color story shows! i also wish they gave her more awkward voice lines too. she is, to me, portrayed to symbolize trying to navigate a society you can’t quite understand how it works and being constantly frustrated by it, which is a common struggle amongst neurodivergent people (which i belive seraphine to be).

LoR expanded really well on the points the main game failed to, but i still wished to see more of this represented in the actual game. i think one of the reasons people tend to hate seraphine (besides, you know, girl who wears pink) is that when they interact superficially with her by picking her on aram or something, this other side just. isn’t shown, so they don’t give her another chance. where as in characters like viego, his voice lines expand a bit more beyond the notion of psycho ex.

is less the notion that seraphine is bland and morr how i wish that same notion was more eagerly challenged by the basic content we get in game

i don’t really know how to answer this lol. first of all, i’m not mad at anyone. i just get a little annoyed.

i want to start by saying, i don’t hate joe. i hate what the joe community on tumblr has turned into. you can’t post anything anymore without receiving hate or some sort of comment that isnt so nice. it’s frustrating to see so many good blogs and genuinely nice people receive hate because of the things they post.

yes, joe absolutely is all over my blog. i’m a fan of his, i write for him, he has been my blog for a whole year now. i don’t mind receiving asks about joe, literally at all. when it comes to his personal life and what he’s doing though…it’s different.

i didn’t create my blog to talk about or speculate anything about joes personal life/life outside of football. i made this blog to write about, see pics of, and meet other people who shared a love for him and the sport too. all this community has turned into the last few months has been drama and speculation which is NOT what im here for.

i’ve moved onto hockey because football wasn’t my interest anymore and that’s okay. i didn’t say to shut up about joe, you absolutely can talk about him. i simply just said i’ve moved on.

Hi! My name is Ryan, but everybody on the internet calls me "Blaze", as in BlazeHedgehog. I've had that internet username since at least 1998 or even 1997, where I picked it for myself as a high school freshman in the computer science lab. I was trying to fit in with other Sonic fans, you see. I just never felt like changing it (and now it's sort of like "my brand.")

I'm the founder of SAGE (The Sonic Amateur Games Expo), though I haven't had an active role in the event in a good while now. I still occasionally dabble in making games, and depending on who you ask, one of those games changed the face of an entire community.

Since then, I've been growing a slightly popular Youtube channel, and I occasionally stream on Twitch. I've been doing both of those a long time -- my Youtube channel dates back to 2006, and I've been livestreaming games since before Twitch even existed (Who here remembers a service called "Mogulus"?) I even used to run multiple Shoutcast radio stations back in the day!

In terms of this blog, it is largely an ask blog. I try to make sure at least one post goes up every day. Most people ask me questions about Sonic games, but feel free to ask me just about anything as long as it's not rude or too personal. Just be aware it might take a week or two for the answer to get posted, depending on volume and interest.

I still care a lot about fangames, and people's right to make fangames. SAGE was founded on the ideal of normalizing the fangaming scene in the eyes of the mainstream. Back when I first started, fangames were often considered another form of piracy. I wanted them re-categorized to be in the same realm as fanart or fanfiction. Whether or not SAGE accomplished that is anyone's guess, but the world is a lot more accepting of fangames these days regardless. A lot of cool people have featured their games at SAGE over the years, including the developers of Sonic Mania, Spark the Electric Jester, and Freedom Planet. SAGE is genuinely one of the things I am most proud of starting in my life, even if I haven't had a managerial role in over ten years.

I have been interviewed about SAGE and how it relates to the fangaming community. Both times I've been interviewed, I was granted permission to post my (very, very wordy) interview in full, if you'd like to read them:

I was known for a few fangames in my time. I have a Youtube playlist where I've commentated over some of those games.

I've tried to transition to making original games, the most recent one being OverBite in 2016. OverBite was a game I created for a game jam, with the intent on making it a bigger, more robust thing to sell later on down the line. The game jam version you can download today is a little basic and boring. It was created over the course of 33 days and I did nearly everything alone -- coding, art, level design, all of it. I custom-built the physics engine, I custom-built the AI, almost none of it was using prefabs or existing example code. The only outside help I received was music, which was provided by my old friend Malcolm Brown (who really needs a better online presence for links like this).

Circumstances got weird (it's a long story, and this post is long enough) but the short of it is OverBite is permanently on the backburner until further notice. I'd love to go back and flesh it out some day, and really make it something special (I have a giant design doc for it!), but I have to focus my attention elsewhere.

I registered a Youtube channel in 2006, back in the early days before they were owned by Google. Around 2009, I did my first formal video review, for Sonic Unleashed. I was inspired by the style of Gametrailers (now Easy Allies) at the time. From there, I started taking my channel a little more seriously, and recently I have had the impetus to take it very seriously.

I have been livestreaming since at least 2009, as well. For reference, that's before Twitch.tv existed, back when the site was called Justin.tv, and was pitched more as people livestreaming their bedrooms with a webcam (what is now called "Just Chatting" on Twitch). I jumped around between sites like Mogulus.com, Livestream.com, and uStream. In 2012, I teamed up with a friend, Imran Khan, to stream Sonic 06 for charity. The 18 hour marathon raised more than $1000 for relief after the Japanese tsunami disaster of the same year. When I stream nowadays, I do it on Twitch, here. I used to be a paid, professional games media writer for the niche site tssznews.com, but that site imploded after I worked there for 12 years. It ran out of money, the head didn't want to run it anymore, and after an embarrassing social media gaffe, permanently closed its doors basically overnight without warning anyone else. While at TSSZ, I helped break a lot of their biggest stories. A slowly increasing amount of my TSSZ work has been archived at Last Minute Continue, and you can always use the Wayback Machine. I also have plans to archive my "professional" writing on my own site, bltn.net, eventually. Some day.

I'm also an artist, or I was. Most of my other creative outlets eventually took precedent, but I still try and retain some artistic skill. There's a very dusty DeviantArt profile out there, and an art tag on my tumblr blog you can check out. Carpal tunnel has made drawing a little frustrating these days, however.

The minor in question wasn't a victim nor am I going to victimblame them, an issue with the whole situation regards to Salem is a lot of shit is thrown out of context. I've spoken to ex and current friends of his, two people I consider family are people who used to be mutuals with him.

As someone who has recently started posting Aleheather fics on AO3, I've got a bit of a dilemma in my hands and I don't know what to do. I'm looking for some advice/guidance because I may be overthinking things but I still can't shake off my suspicion so, if this isn't appropriate to ask, I get it and I'm sorry.

I posted an Aleheather angst fic recently and got an odd comment (something like "Al brought it on himself, am I expected to sympathise with him?" which is completely tame but it struck me as odd because it wasn't really a positive comment and there were no tone indicators used but, to be clear, I don't think the user meant it maliciously) from a user who writes TD fics as well so I chalked it up to poor phrasing and responded by explaining how the fic was meant to convey the complexity and intricacy of Aleheather's relationship and how it wasn't meant to portray a specific character as the villain or the victim.

Maybe I'm looking too deeply into this but that exact user then wrote an Aleheather angst fic which was a little too familiar and I'm going to list some reasons as to why but I genuinely don't think they're trying to do any harm, it just bothers me a little and I'm new to TD fanfic writing so I may be overreacting and if so, please let me know!!

My fic was written to focus on Aleheather and one of the competitors he had flirted with in TDWT, that user's fic was also centered on Aleheather and that specific competitor. I had written something like "[Character's name] meant nothing to Alejandro" and that user's fic also explicitly stated that. My fic was part of my angst series and I had started it awhile ago. That user created an angst series that was titled with exactly the same series title. Each word had an upper case letter to begin with and everything. I really don't want to add this last bit as it may give away my AO3 username but it's kind of important. In my fic's notes, I stated that the title of my fic was supposed to be the last line of it but I changed it and simply made it the title as it felt right to me. That user's fic title is the last line of their fic. The series title, the fic title, the storyline, the comment; they could simply be coincidences but I'm not sure. I don't know what to do because, while fic writing is supposed to be lighthearted and a way to gain inspiration from another's work, this doesn't feel like a coincidence and I feel like the user is basically copying my fics and I'm not sure if I'm being dramatic or if I could be right???

Poor and trying to get into media piracy and torrenting, but I'm kind of sus of google search results' reviews, and sites like Spyware Watchdog don't have sections for things like VPNs and email providers yet.. one thing u can do immediately today for free is look your name up on Google and public data aggregators like spokeo/pipl/etc to find where your personal information may be and request it to be taken down. and most importantly -- use different usernames as much as possible, don't leave breadcrumb trails between different "spheres" of your life. 99% of doxxing takes place via Whitepages n hyperfocused social media combing.

BUT! for basic media acquisition (ARRRRR).... Windscribe or perhaps Proton VPN should be all u need 2 avoid maximum legal death at the hands of mega media corporations.

Although cursing is technically allowed, we recommend (and tend to answer more commonly) questions that are not written with cursing in them. We do NOT allow any slurs to be used, against any kind of people, whether by gender, race, or any other group of people! Magic Asks are allowed as long as they are not too overpowered, such as changing a voidpet’s appearance, killing off a voidpet, etc. Asks are always open as long as you see the “Ask A Voidpet” button, so if you see that, go right ahead! I’ll try to answer asap! I genuinely appreciate asks and the blog will be relying on them, so go ahead! Leveling Guide Leveling is actually a thing in this askblog. All Voidpets start at level 1, and can evolve when they reach a certain number of asks. Once you hit the certain number of asks for a voidpet for the first time, there will be a poll sent out for if you’d like to evolve the voidpet and people can vote. From there, people have to send in the askblog: “Vote Evo (Voidpet Name)” to get us to send out another evo vote poll. The initial poll will automatically happen every time a new evo form is unlocked however. Evolving isn’t an easy process in the mobile app, so it is not one in here. Each evolution stage is hit by a 5 question milestone. We’ll be using Anxiety for this example. Anxiety will not be able to evolve to stage 2 until they have been asked 5 questions, whether anon or not. The next stage 3, same number. The next stage 4, same number, etc. So basically, all voidpet number stages are 5, 10, 15, and finally 20. In the Voidpet Info section, you can see the notes. Remember that a Voidpet can only gain the ability to evolve and will not necessarily evolve unless enough people want them to evolve. 

Voidpet Info You can find the asks that are specific to a certain Voidpet by finding a post about the voidpet you’re curious of, and look for the “Ask (voidpetname)”, click it, and it will automatically lead you to questions about that specific voidpet. We would add specific name search but sadly the tumblr featured tag limit rules that out. You can ask voidpets almost anything, even just you interacting with the voidpet too! You can give voidpets hugs, pats, food, etc, or you can ask about their information, whether it be about their species (things like their dex number, element, rarity, etc) or about themself (things like their size, height, weight, birthday, love language, likes, or stats!) You may have read that magic asks changing their appearance isn’t allowed, and while that is mostly true, you can summon rainbow clouds that will temporarily change the specific voidpet’s vivid variant for 5 asks! Note that if you don’t specify a specific vivid color, a random one will be selected. You can also give a voidpet an accessory for 5 asks too if you remember the name of it!

I like making original characters (OCs), but I struggle with designing them (especially clothes since most of what my characters wear is utterly boring, unless I use a reference photo).

I almost always use tone indicators/tags to help indicate what message I’m trying to convey. I mostly use “/j” (joking), “/hj” (half-joking), “/srs” (serious) “/sarc” (sarcastic), “/gen” (genuine), “/pos” (positive), “/neu” (neutral), and “/neg” (negative). I won’t ever use “/srs” as “/j” because it’s confusing for people, including myself.

As my last pinned post said, please don’t follow me unless you want to see random stuff that I’m hyperfixated on in your following tab. for everyone that enjoys my old works i really appreciate that sm genuinely, i love writing but without support i think id prob had quit already lol. but if u enjoy my work and post in wattpad, and think that ppl who don't have tumblr would enjoy it too, PLEASE ASK before re-posting.

this person happily put credits n my user in the post but if this anon (ty again) hadn't told me i wouldn't have found out bc i barely use wattpad, so yeah basically ask me before posting my fics/hcs/oneshots on any writing app or website and make sure to give proper credits!

edit: just found out the account itself was taken down i think? but the fics are gone so yeah everything's fine.
